Amor Bravío #64 (Uni 59) Wed 11/14/12 “The Mean Streets of El Pueblo”
We begin our story tonight in the mean streets of the pueblo; LeoSordido has shot Pablo and Dandres. Now both Dandres and Pablo lie in the street, bleeding, with Leo Sordido standing over them with a pistola aimed at Dandres’ heart. LeoSordido aims carefully and we see the gun up close… and closer … he pulls the trigger, and CLICK.. bullets, no hay. What a genius! He shakes the bubblegun but nothing happens. Viewerville hopes he looks into the barrel and finds the last bullet on its way out and into his empty little skull. Suddenly, down the street, Amanda emerges from the hostel, yelling “Auxilio! Policia!” … LeoSordido disappears. Amanda runs into the street, desperate and distressed as she sees it is Pablo and Dandres who have been shot and are lying in the street .
Further down the mean streets of the pueblo, Lic. Becerra and Camila are fretting together. A very distraught Camila has been crying in Lic. Becerra’s office after having read DanSr’s final letter. This was the letter DanSr wrote to DanJr after discovering AlLooseLink’s role in taking control of Camila’s inheritance-to-be. “It is just not fair”, she weeps, this is what DanSr was trying to say to her just before he expired, she deduces. Camila exclaims they need to call Daniel, pronto, to tell him what is going on. Camila wants a resolution to this growing El Malquerida Mess.
Back at the scene of the crime, Natalia has joined Amanda and now both of them are crying over Dandres and Pablo who are lying bleeding out (that ever-so-special blood type) onto this mean street. Lic. Teresa is on the phone calling for ambulances and other emergency help. Amanda also makes a call.
The phone rings in Lic. Becerra’s office… He answers, listens, contorts his face, “Que? Voy por alla!” He breaks the news to Amanda that Pablo with the ever-so-special blood type and Dandres with the ever-so-special body have been shot! AAyyyyeee! No puede ser! Camila runs into the mean streets of the night. Above the scene on the second floor of the hostel we see Aaron watching from the window – looking trapped – and he makes a mysterious phone call.
Blissfully ignorant over at Viv’s place, Rafa and Viv talk about Rafa’s book-in-progress. They laugh because Rafa can write but is a lousy artist. They joke with one another and roll onto the couch laughing, Rafa tickling Viv…. Phone rings. This must be the mystery call Aaron was making down way on the mean street. He tells them the news of the shooting. Caras de ticklefest instantly convert into caras de shock. No puede ser!
Self-righteous Agustina is at the church talking (more like kvetching) to Padre. She tells them about her disappointment in the immoral behavior of her daughters. They are both living in prohibited relationships. How did this happen if she tried to be a good madre? She is indignant that Xinmoral scolded her because Agustina abandoned her to follow Camila to the ranch and pursure DanSr. Camila also scolded Agustina because she married Dio. What right do they have? After all, she has the right to be happy and she laments that the girls just don’t understand her. Padre wisely suggests that Agustina must value Dio greatly to allow him to be the reason she is fighting with her daughters. Agustina-self-justina says she didn’t think she would ever be able to love again, until, twinkle, twinkle, Dio came into her life and sprinkled his fairy love dust in her path. Padre further observes that Camila is her ever-so-special-blood relative and he suggests that Agustina should reconcile with her. Agustina-self-justina continues to wonder if Dio would consider leaving her based on Xinmoral’s inmoral behavior and wonders what will be if the town finds out about the scandal. “After all, this town is small and news travels fast!” she says. “Take Al’s impotence as a fine example?” –she didn’t say that, but viewerville thought it, you know you did! Padre tells her if Dio leaves her because of this, it would say a lot about what kind of man he is. After all, “Love is about acceptance”, he says. Padre pleads with her to talk to her daughters, they need her now.
Around the corner of the mean streets, Xinmoral knocks at Al’s door, suitcase in hand. Al gives her his “estas loca!” look. Undaunted X announces she has dropped the news bomb to Camila that the pair of them are having an affair and Camila knows allllll about them now. A stunned Al sputters, “How does she know and what happened?” X reports she has no idea how Camila found out and that Camila insulted her and that they fought. Demonstrating his complete lack of psychological insight, Al concludes that this must mean that Camila is jealous of the loveybirds and that Camila must still love him. X. tells him to dream on, that if Camila loved him she wouldn’t be asking for the divorce. Nonetheless, we see a glimpse of hopefulness in his expression. X announces that they can now go public with their luuvvv. “Not so fast”, says Al, “I will deny it”, he says, as he fears that he may not get the money from the divorce if this news goes public. X tells him to forget about any money at this point. She announces she will never leave. “No way you can live here, not with my mom living here!” he says. X reminds Al what she knows about his nefarious plans and refuses to be dissuaded, plants a kiss on him and shoves him in the face. Seems X is more like Mumsy than we thought before.
In the dark of night, in the mean streets, Camila has arrived at Dandres’ side; she is crying and wailing for help. We see Aaron, again, trapped in his second floor room, distraught and holding his head. He is helpless and this is not a comfortable place to be for do-good-guy Aaron. Rafa shows up to the street scene. Amanda reports that she cannot be sure of who the perpetrator was, but she thinks it was LeoSordido.
Dio, sits in his den brooding. The phone rings. His henchman is calling him to report that Dandres and Pablo have been shot and it was Leo who did the shooting.
Flash back to the church, Agustina bids Padre goodbye although we think Padre’s wisdom was wasted breath on his part to the daffy Senora. Tolentino charges in and breathlessly reports there has been a shooting and the victims are Pablo and Dandres. They all convert to faces of distress and hurry off to the scene of the crime in the mean streets.
Rafa, Aaron, and Viv, in gumshoe mode, wonder who could have done this and why. If Leo did this as a minion of Dio’s it couldn’t be an attempted hit on DanJr because neither Leo or Dio know Dandres is really DanJr. Who and why? Does the gun go with Colonel Mustard in the mean streets? Rafa reasons that Al thinks Dandres is a spy for Daniel Jr. Maybe the geniuses ordered the hit to send a “message’ to DanJr.
Downstairs, now off the mean streets and back at the hostel, Amanda is being coaxed to make a statement to the police. She is uncertain who it was. She relents and agrees to go to the police Padre and Lic. Teresa accompanying her.
Dio continues to brood in his office and the phone rings. Agustina is on the phone reporting what has happened. Dio seems to be more interested to learn that Camila is there at Dandres’ side. Agustina mutters something about Camila having been in town for business. Agustina asks her Dio amor to come to get her and take her to the hospital. Dio, in true form, growls that she can take a taxi. He will go directly to the hospital. Poor Agustina pauses and stands in the dark mean streets – she tastes the bitterness of disillusionment. She agrees to travel together to the hospital with Natalia.
Standing outside the church, waiting, Luzma glances up and down the darkened streets. A car pulls up, slowly creeps in front of her. She freezes as the passenger window is rolled down. We all breathe a sigh of relief as it is Lic. Becerra who has seen Luzma waiting. He offers her a ride and tells her Camila has been detained. Luzma climbs into the car and we watch their conversation, although we are kept in silence. We know that Lic. Becerra is telling her that Pablo and Dandres have been shot – Luzma, hearing the news looks off into the distance, into the darkness of the night.
The bleeding bodies of Dandres and Pablo have now been put in the ambulance and the sirens scream as it speeds off to the hospital. Camila is at Dandres’ side, having traded roles with him from an earlier episode of near death. She pleads and yells at the emergency paramedics. She tells Dandres she cannot lose him. She checks on Pablo. Viewerville can recite this scene by memory because we saw it before in reverse…ff
A few miles away in the lively city of Maltepec, Isa is meeting with Daniel’s BioDad . She gives him the power of attorney document for him to give to his “son” Daaron to sign. He cajoles and flatters her. She is not amused and informs him this is not a game.
We travelcam back to the hospital. Dio has arrived and is taking a call from one of his henchman. The voice reports to Dio that the people who presumably wrote the letters of recommendation for Dandres do not know who he is and that no one by that name has ever worked there. The letters are fake and Dandres is not who he says he is. Dio squints and ponders on this news. Camila enters the hospital and is running alongside the gurney and throws all caution to the wind by pleading with Dandres to live (mi amor) within earshot of Dio and crowd. Dio thought bubbles about Dandres and it is not a warm fuzzy bubble. The nurse greets the incoming group and reassures Camila that the gurney riding patients are in good hands as they wheel them off into surgery.
Dio stands behind Camila listening. She turns, is startled , and asks what he is doing? She starts to excuse herself to go to the chapel and put in a prayer for the fellows with ever-so-special blood and ever-so-special body. Dio comments that Dandres is a good worker and declares he wants justice for him and will find whoever did this to him and bring him to justice. Camila cannot escape from Dio’s company fast enough, goes to the chapel and prays that Dandres not be taken from her. Dio thought bubbles again that Dandres is a traitor and that he will pay. The bubble turns delusional when Dio assures himself that Camila will be his, only his.
At the police station, Amanda is giving a statement to the police. She is not sure, but thinks it was LeoSordido. She adds her theory that LeoSordido had a motive to hurt Dandres because it was Dandres who discovered he had sexually assaulted his own niece, beat him up because of it and turned him in. She recalls that LeoSordido swore to avenge himself.
Speaking of LeoSordido, we return to him in his usual fine form, sloshing and swilling every bottle in sight over at Dio’s place. Omar and his henchmen arrive and they are not happy with LeoSordido. Omar tells him that Dio knows that LeoSordido stole Dio’s gun to try to kill Andres and that Dio doesn’t forget when people “do him wrong”. They grab Leo and rough him up (not enough as far as viewerville figures) while grabbing his arms and twisting them behind him. In a last ditch effort to get out of this situation, LeoSordido tells the henchman that he has some money (lana) socked away that he can give them if they let him go and they will never see him again. Omar, it turns out, has his standards, he isn’t a traitor (a thug and a hood, but not a traitor, mind you). Leo pleads again to the thugs that everyone has a price “con dinero baile el perro”, but there is too much honor among these thieves to succumb to the bribe.
Cameraflash back to Al and Isa’s place. Isavibora comes home whistling a happy tune and greets Xinmoral with “to what do we owe this honor of your visit?” X. smugly responds that, guess what, “Camila knows AlLocoLonso and I are amantes. So, there is no reason to hide”, says Ximnoral - guess who’s here for dinner, permanently? “No wayyyyy”, snaps Isa (Vaya! Is she ever cranky tonight!), Isa is not having this tawdry affair between Sonny and his wife’s sister going on together under her roof. No sireee! Xinmoral laughs that Isa is a hypocrite and has known about this tawdry affair all along. Isa shoots back, “Get her out of here, Al”, and starts to flounce out. Al pulls up his suspenders and says, “No, she stays, she is my partner!” Isa freezes! “Que?” She orders Al to “get rid of her.” “And, ahem, Isa”, says X., “since this is my sister’s house and I am her half sister, I have more right to be here than you do, so there.” Isa is not one bit pleased with this brazen attitude of Xinmoral’s and wags her finger at her warning her to watch her step because Ximena is no match for her, “With me” she says, “Topaste la pared!” Then she wags her finger at Al and tells Sonny to teach is wife her proper place. We think X. has nooo idea who she is up against. Isa leaves. Xinmoral self congratulates herself and points out to Al how easy that was. Al, shaken after sassing Mumsy, scolds Xinmoral for confronting his mom.
Back at the hospital, Agustina and Natalia arrive and Dio tells Agustina that Camila is in the chapel praying. Dio is introduced to Natalia and we watch as the clock is ticking on what the future holds for the two of them.
Rocio and family arrive at the hospital with Rocio wailing and and handwringing. Natalia fills them in on what has happened to Dandres and Pablo. She says that LeoSordido is the suspected shooter. Of course, Luzma arrives as Rocio hears this…. Rocio tells Luzma this is her fault, Luzma and her loser uncle are the reason Pablo is lying in the hospital fighting for his life. If only Luzma “had maintained her place this would have never happened”. Luzma, devastated already, tells Rocio that she would give her life in place of Pablo if she could. Poor sincere Luzma.
We are transported to the drama in the operating room. Doctors discuss whether or not to remove the bullet near the kidney. If they remove it, Dandres could bleed to death. If they don’t, the bullet could move and kill Dandres…. The doctors wonder together, what should they do? Viewerville just wants the docs to leave the ever-so-special body in the same lovely shape as before.
Back in the hospital hallway, Camila walks with Luzma who fears that Rocio speaks the truth about the shooting being her fault. Luzma hates her uncle as does ALL of viewerville. Camila reassures Luzma that what happened to Pablo is not her fault. Rocio is only saying it is Luzma’s fault because she is worried. Uhhh sure, that’s it, Rocio will be nice again tomorrow, viewerville says. Luzma tells Camila she knows that Camila feels the same way towards Dandres that she feels towards Pablo. “You know about us?” asks Camila. Luzma nods. Mariano coinkidinkily walks up behind Camila and Luzma and apologizes for Rocio’s harsh words. He explains that Pablo is her “light”. He tries to reassure Luzma that Pablo loves her as she loves him. Luzma excuses herself to the capilla. Camila thanks Mariano for being such a nice guy …. She hugs him in a friend kind of way… He hugs back, looking forlorn over her shoulder.
Viv and Rafa have arrived at the hospital. The surgeons emerge from the operating room, grimfaced. They present Dandres’ options, remove the bullet, bleed to death, maybe…. Keep it in, move a little, bleed to death maybe. They ask about any family Dandres may have to make the decision. Camila says, no, there is no family available to help with the decision. They fret and Camila takes the bull by the horns, so to speak. She looks at both doctors, she asks who has the most experience…. Surprisingly, only one of them raises his hand… she gives him the directions to get in there, act like a professional and use his best judgment. Uh, ya think?
Down the hall, Natalia is getting coffee in the cafeteria. Dio wanders in, offers her the change she needs and proceeds to quiz her…. “So, how do you know Andres? Wasn’t he your novio? Why did you break up? After all, you are such a pretty and intelligent young lady…Oh and if you ever need a job, look me up”.. you get the idea. Smartly, Natalia gives him very vague answers. Lic. Becerra comes in and saves Nat from Dio’s probing questions. Lic Becerra gives Dio the evil eye and Dio, ever the manipulator, cooly returns to Lic Becerra with “ if you don’t like coffee, try the chocolate, it’s excellente”. Unfortunately, Dio has dropped a little fairy dust in Nat’s path as she tells Lic Becerra that Dio is not so bad (no es tan sangron) as she thought before.
Viv and Rafa wander the halls wondering what is to be with their plot to outplot the bad guys - the situation is getting muy complicado.
Agustina and Dio snip and chat with each other. Camila frets. Rocio hyperventilates. Dio gets a call from Isa. Dio moves his conversation away from the fretful crowd to the bathroom. Unbeknownst to him, Rafa is in the bathroom stall eavesdropping. Dio tells Isa that LeoSordido has shot Dandres and that Isa was right, Dandres is not who he says he is and he is a traitor. Isa coyly asks if Dio is going to kill Dandres for being a spy, or, for being Camila’s lover. Dio is not amused and he swears that Dandres will not leave the hospital alive. We close the capitulo with a frozen shot of Rafa looking deeply concerned.
Labels: bravio
Agustina continues as Agustina-Self-Justina ever the victim of immoral offspring (puleez)
Ximena tries to one up Isa's control over AlLocoLonso (hehehehe - this will be interesting).
If you remember the scene with Dandres and Camila in ambulance after she was gored, reverse their roles and add Pablo to a gurney and the scenes are the same (pleading, crying and handwringing on Camilz's part).
Lots of praying in the capilla of the hospital as well....
Scenes with doctors operating, notifying, deciding and being pleaded to.
Rocio is still a snob
Gumshoe gang (Viv, Rafa and Aaron and now Amanda) is speculating on "who done it?" and/or why.
Oh the mean streets in the pueblo have created more questions than answers for today!
Mena
Rafa overhears a phone conversation Dion has with Isadora talking about Andres being a spy for Dan and that Leoncio being the one to shoot them.
I know we've talked about Dio's ego but it is hilarious how he keeps saying how he will be her only option. He's married to her mother; add that to the list of men in this show would are younger and better looking than he. He's completely delusional. Isa got his number when she said Dio's ego was too big.
Just realized both sisters talk really fast when they get wound up.
I didn't like his hosting in the 2011 Latin Grammy. Maybe he's better now.
Saw a cute ad for AT&T Uverse with Wm Levy and the topic of novelas.
Nanette
Hopefully this will turn out in a good relationship and not into dad hitting on daughter thing.
To anyone interested, I've updated the Playlist so it includes Becerra and Teresa the abogada who know Andres is Daniel. You'll see it on the recap feed.
Ay yi yi--Camila nearly bumping into Dio physically last night. I thought I saw her recoil. But now I think she knows he knows--unless she's just too distracted and upset to realize it.
The scene in the hospital between Camila and LuzMa was the best. She finally has someone other than Vivi to share her Andres-related feelings.
The scene of Rafa in the bathroom was straight out of Witness--one of my once or twice a year, gotta watch it again good movies. AB did a good job of the suspense. Poor deluded Dio rattling on. He thought he checked out all the stalls. So yay for the Scooby Doo team.
Haha Vivi, the bull has already left the stall. Should Andres die, I think Cami would totally close down emotionally, but turn to Mariano before ever turning to Dio. She's icked out by him having married her mother and after reading Don Daniel's letter, there's nothing short of holding a gun to her head that would get her in bed with vas a ser mia. Besides, he would have to divorce Aggie, she would be devastated and Cam just wouldn't do it. Dio will have to content himself with wrenching the ranch out of her cold dead hands. But guess what? Little Pablo is going to step up to the plate and yank it right out of his cold dead hands.
This just gets better and better.
I don't think that Pablo would get the ranch, he's not mentioned in the will. But I can't remember who Cam would leave it to if she died and Andres was dead. Was it Aggie?
Camila would have no problem giving Pablo the ranch...after all Camila has no problem giving "her cousin Daniel" the ranch should he ever show up. And she doesn't even know Daniel! But she DOES know Pablo and would give it to him, if only for Luzma's sake.
I doubt Daniel would refuse to give Pablo the ranch either. He knows he's not Don Daniel's child and he's not about the money, never has been.
My but we've opened up a can of worms here. Something else to add to the Playlist. Who Inherits the Ranch. We'd have to go back to the early episode where the will is read, because I think he left the ranch TO Daniel and named him. However, I don't remember if the will specifically named him as his son. It might be that Daniel's heirs who would get the ranch. Can it possibly be that simple?
Of course Daniel isn't going to die, so we can forget about that line of thinking.
I was executor for my sisters will that was contested by one of her son's "outside" children who was not named in the will. However, the probate judge threw it out because he said that it was the courts obligation to uphold the wishes of the deceased and unfortunately, it's not uncommon for blood relatives to be left out of Wills, sometimes intentionally, sometimes unintentionally. Also, since Pablo is heir to the other ranch (unless he gets disinherited with the truth be told, he doesn't need 2 ranches.
I think it's only when a person dies (intestate)without a will that heirs can claim their fair share of the estate.
I was executrix of my mother's estate and final heiress by default. She made out a will when I was in high school and not only never updated it but never even had it notarized. She therefore legally died intestate and I got everything. She had repeatedly threatened to disinherit me for years so this was a huge relief.
Daniel and now Camila know why Don Daniel did this, and what his actual wishes were, only because of the letter. His true wishes were that Dan (his son or not) split the ranch with Cami. When/if they find out that Pablo is Don Daniel's child, they'll both conclude correctly that Don Daniel would have included Pablo as an heir too. Daniel may feel like he has no right to the ranch, as he's not related (although Don Daniel said that by just being Agatha's son, and helping to save Cami, he has earned the inheritance), and he might just turn the whole thing over to Cami and Pablo.
... if you are not my son, share the inheritance with Camila ...
He said share, and that could mean any portion, even 1 percent. Ja ja.
(And now back to the Grammy's. I'm waiting for Daniela Romo. I saw her not long ago without her signature long hair after her chemo--She actually looked dyno-mite).
Camila showed amazing restraint with Rocio when she defended Luzma. This is exactly what happened to her when Luis' mother attacked her at his funeral.
Ximeana doesn't stand a chance against Hissadora.
Who wants to bet that Alonssso and Hissadora have done the nasty before the story even began?
I'm with you on your take of Momma Isa and baby son Lonso, Urban A. My hit list grows to include Rocio in a big way.
Yes, in the ambulance Cami even asked Andres to please tell her what he did and said when she was in the same situation to help keep her alive. Of course, he didn't go into cardiac arrest like she did.
Love your references to Dan's special body, and Pablo's special blood. :)
Urban- You are so right that what Rocio said/did to Luzma is just like what Luis' parents said/did to Camila at his funeral when she was already so broken emotionally and physically. Yes, Cami showed great restraint in trying to calm Rocio, while poiting out her unjust thought process.
The writers really gave us a scare when they showed the mysterious car pulling up to Luzma in front of the psychologist office, just before the cut to commercial. Bacerra didn't just happen to see her. It was implied that he and Cami agreed for him to pick up Luzma in her stead while she went with the ambulance.
What's the Scooby Doo gang going to do now that Dan is out of commission for at least a while, and they know Dio doesn't plan to let him leave the hospital laive? Yikes! Things are kind of spinning out of control right now.
Loved the "moment" Vivi and Rafa had during their tickle fight. When are these two going to realize they have feelings for each other? Just like Camila had trouble regulating her reactions to be appropriate for how an employer would react to an employee being injured, Vivi told Rafa he had to do the same thing. He was getting just as wound up as Cami when the docs came out with their life or death choice. Vivi had to point out to him that to everyone he and Andres are virtual strangers-- not the old friends they know them to be.
Loved:
-"bleeding out (that ever so special blood type)"
-"caras de ticklefest instantly convert into caras de shock"
-"Al, shaken after sassing Mumsy"
I only saw a few minutes of the Latin Grammies, enough to make me grateful the AB lighting crew does not have a spotlight behind D'Andres head as CdF poking up hair looked very Wilson Volleyballish to me.
Does anyone remember and know that Three Sheets to the Wind song? Actually it was just two sheets blowing around by a circle of fans, and the singer had that scruffy look? I loved the song.
This sentence made me giggle Mena. :)
I thought Dio was in agreement with Al about Leo killing Dan, so why was he so surprised that Leo took his gun and tried to do it? I'm sure he doesn't want the gun traced to him, but they probably won't be able to do that.
Not to mention that Leoncerdo violated his orders.
I am glad I watch a recording so I could FF after the car stopped in front of Luzma and they broke to commercial. I about had a heart attack until I saw it was Becerra.
Was it UA's and Vivi's conversation about the tiny hairs on Camila's bracelet? I am obsessed with looking for them. I don't record this in HD as my memory usage is already up to 85% (and deleting 16 repeated Destinos, leaving me now only 30 episodes, only took it down 3%. lol)
Another wardrobe note: One good thing about Pablo being shot is it will get that poor guy out of his vest.
The Scooby Gang does have their hands full especially with Dio's death threats. It will be interesting to see which way they go on this.
The other thing that disturbs me about Dio's delusion about Cam is Gussy may have to be eliminated. Yes she's stupid but she does not deserve to die. And now that Cam knows that Dio is a horrible man, he can only get her by kidnapping or threatening to harm someone she loves.
Xi does not know who she is dealing with in Isa. She and Al may go to sleep and never wake up b/c Isa is that cold-blooded.
The only reason a competent villain would marry someone's mother, would be because he hoped to off the son/daughter and have the mother inherit.
Was Mariano's forlorn look only because of Pablo or did he overhear Cam tell Luz about Dan?
Audrey: I thought Dio married Agustina to get an in at the ranch since Al and Isa were evicted.
At first I though Aaron was being a coward, then realized he couldn't show his face.
I was part of the bracelet discussion. I have HD, but my screen is still too small for me to see the fuzziness on the bracelet. Our other Caraymates who have large screens and HD have picked up on that.
Well, sure. But he was already very interested in Camila at the time. I think he was interested even before he started dating the mother. Pretty dumb.
This TN is so exciting, I am always on the edge of my seat wanting to know what happens next. I never expected to experience that with a TN. Up until now, they have always been farfetched and unbelievable. This is definitely an exception.
Are we anticipating a reverse blood donation from Camila to Pablo? What about a kidney? It looked like both guys were shot in the same place, the kidney area.
My guess is Dio plans for Gussie to have a fatal "accident" and then he swoops in to "comfort" grieving Camila and works his old black magic in her weakened state. Hissadora so has his number.
Rocio is the worse. Sure she's worried to death about Pablo, but dumping on a young incest and rape victim is unforgivable.
I'm going to enjoy watching the Hisssadora-Alonsoloco-Xinmoral household. I don't think Camila sprung for any servants for the house, so I guess they will have to divvy up the household chores.
Leoncerdo needs to be in la carcel ayer.
RdelaO - I am adding Hornet's Eyes to my list of nonviolent expletives.LOL. Also, I was in on the discussion of the furry bracelet... It is a very fine detail, but her bracelet(s) - and there may have been several over the show history- appear to be made of hide with the animal fur on it. It caught my attention a while back when she was definitely wearing one with the fur and I commented on ungraciously on her needing to lose the furry bracelet..I have been making further ungracious comments about it from time to time since.
Nanette - Mariano's forlorn look has been going on since he fixed his eyes on Camila. It isn't clear he heard the pair talking about Dandres and Camila in luuuvvvv, but he seems to show up on the fringes of the discussions to remind us he has a thing for Camila that she is oblivious to.
Cathyx - uummm sure, good day to leave the recap on the home computer LOL .... OK, you probably make a good point. I was, however, pinching myself as I am a new kid on the block and am following in the keystrokes of recap pros who effortlessly are able to post when the clock strikes 11:00! LOL
Here's what had me absolutely in pain--with laughter:
All the references to Mean Streets--such a great image.
He shakes the bubblegun but nothing happens. Viewerville hopes he looks into the barrel and finds the last bullet on its way out and into his empty little skull
...breaks the news [that] Pablo with the ever-so-special blood type and Dandres with the ever-so-special body have been shot
Agustina is at the church talking (more like kvetching) to Padre
Caras de ticklefest instantly convert into caras de shock
guess who’s here for dinner, permanently
Ay yi yi, there are just too many zingers. Stop it before you make me laugh again.
Since Al and Mumsy come as a package, it is likely Dio has known Mumsy since early days. She chooses her partners, not the other way around. Dio is much less choosy (see description of Aggie). Mumsy may have wanted to try him out and liked what she got, but didn't make it a habit. We don't see them do much other than smooch a couple of times since the grappling took place. Usually they are plotting out loud to each other.
There were way too many favorite and humorous side lines to mention, but here's a few.
1. Viewerville hopes he looks into the barrel and finds the last bullet on its way out and into his empty little skull.
2. Camila is at D’Andres’ side, having traded roles with him from an earlier episode of near death.
3. Dio thought bubbles about D’Andres and it is not a warm fuzzy bubble.
4. The bubble turns delusional when Dio assures himself that Camila will be his, only his.
One last question/thought: After talking to “Dan Jr”, Dan Sr obviously thinks he can get rich without engaging in Isa’s scheme. I bet he’ll make up some lie to back out of having the papers notarized so that he won’t have to share the inheritance he thinks he’s getting.
