Amor Bravío #73 (Uni 68) Wed 11/28/12 "Camila says 'Explain to the Hand' or, Camila is Having a Vvverrry Baaad Week”

Yesterday’s Neighborhood News

Camila’s Cabana:  Luzma and Camila are giving aid to an ailing Daniel. Camila discovers that Luzma is one more on the list of people who know who Andres really is.  She wants to know why Luzma didn’t tell her.  Luzma tries to “explain to the hand”.   Camila – not buying it.

Out of Mexico City Somewhere:  Police cruisers drive along a rural road and turn into a cornfield.  They park the cruisers and wander into the field to a ditch.  There in the ditch lies LeoSordido, face down in the dirt.  They turn him over – while one officer calls for an ambulance the other turns his body over.  He is alive but bleeding.  Someone has cut out his tongue!  Que barbaridad!

Malquerida Dining Room:  Isa floats in while Dio finishes and folds his newspaper.  She reports that LeoSordido will not be talking to anyone about them with the glimmer of seduction in her eyes.  Dio comments on how it appears that Isa enjoys creating mayhem and committing murder.  “But of course, dawling!”, and she warns him to be careful.  Dio is unimpressed and one- ups her with, “Don’t you forget what I am capable of ….. the only difference being I don’t get my hands dirty.”    Ximena peers out from behind the wall, now shaking in her thigh high boots.

Camila’s Cabana: Rodolfo knocks and when Luzma answers he says he is looking for Camila.  Luzma tries to shoo him away telling him that Camila trusts him – the bulls are in his hands -  but she is resting because she is not feeling well.  Rodolfo starts to leave then hesitates – ranchero y banda music starts up – and then he asks about Natalia. He wants to know if she is seeing someone else. Luzma sidesteps, ummm, and says, yes she is sort of her friend, ummmm, but tells him they can talk about this another day when Camila isn’t trying to rest.  Rodolfo oblivious and semi-satisfied agrees and scampers off to mind the bull.

The Bad Licenciado Salomen Morales’ Office:  Bad Lic is busy packing up papers as Graciela the secretary walks in.  She wonders what is going on and Licenciado tells her to get him a ticket, pronto, cancel all his appointments, magazine subscriptions and membership to the country club, y punto!  Tell everyone he had an emergency come up.  He tells her to do nothing else but find the cell phone number of AlLocoLonso, no matter what it takes.  Scratching her head, she tells him she has no idea where to get the number and he says to call El Malquerida.  She scurries off to search for the number.   Bad Lic snarls to himself that if Isa is going to ruin his career, he will ruin her family.  Viewerville is certain that this plan will have minimum impact given the value Isavibora places on family loyalty.

What’s New in the Neighborhood

Courtyard walkways of El Malquerida:   Ximena scrams out of the house and runs headlong into BioDanSr.  He says she looks as if she has just seen a ghost.  Well, more like a ghoul.  Ximena grills him about how he really met DAaron.    Ximena is not just another dumb bombshell, nosirreee, she is looking for answers now.   She says that blood is thicker than water (la sangre siempre pesa)and that BioDanSr owes her the truth.   She tells him she needs the uncrossed finger truth from him so that they can obtain Daniel’s full trust and confidence.  BioDanSr tells her that the truth is that Isa came to him and told him that Daniel was going to inherit a rancho of pesos.  If he helped Isa out, he could share this aforementioned rancho full of pesos.  Ximena says that Isa is more audacious (mas atrevida) than Ximena realized.  Duhhhhh!

Vast Grounds of Rancho Buenaventura:   Mariano and Cayatano stroll together talking about the recent visit by Padre Anselmo.  They recollect the mutual friendship between the Padre’s family and the Albarran family and the eventual end that it came to, including Mariano’s dating of sister Teresa.  Florentino Medrano, devastated by his son’s decision to become a priest rather than a lawyer or architect like the other siblings, fueled a family feud.  Somewhere in the midst of this, sister Teresa moved to Veracruz, Mariano met Ana Maria, and that was the end of the romance between Mariano and Teresa.  Viewerville sees a convenient reunion for these two past loveybirds in the future of this TN.   Maybe Mariano can finally score lasting love after all.

Rocio’s Bedroom:  Rocio is in bed, suffering from mumsy-meddlitis in the form of a big fat headache.  Refugio, family sage, asks her what is really bothering her since Padre Anselmo’s visit to request Rocio not  oppose the Pablo Luzma lovebirdies?   Refugio wonders aloud if it is just the loveybirds’ mismatched pairing, or, is it that Luzma reminds Rocio of her own humble beginnings.  Rocio says all of it is bugging her, including the interference (entrometido) on the part of the Padre.  Viewerville rolls on the floor laughing at the size of Rocio’s hypocrisy.  Refugio chides Rocio that she does not want to hear the truth.  Refugio says that Luzma is a humble but good and lovely muchacha with values.   Rocio screws her face up like Atom Ant  upon hearing this.

Camila’s Cabana:   Someone knocks, “Camila!”no answer, knocks again and Dio finds his own way into her cabana.  Camila comes out of the bedroom nearly bumping into Dio.  Startling her, he explains he knocked but no one answered the door.  Irritated Camila scolds him for not waiting at the entry until someone came to the door.  Dio apologizes and says he merely came to see if he could offer his secret fantasy girl anything.  She wisely declines.  Dio says, by the way, that someone placed an anonymous tip that he was harboring LeoSordido.  He adds that he did not appreciate Camila planting seeds of doubt about him to Agustina about his involvement in nefarious activities.  In fact, he says something about his good citizenship of placing a tip where LeoSordido could be found and the police have located him.

Rocio’s Bedroom:  Rocio, still complaining, says she never had daughters and always imagined that she would have a daughter-in-law just like themselves – educated and sophisticated.   Refugio says, “So what if you get an aristocrat who was shallow, selfish or superficial (kind of like you are)?” Ohhhh noooo, rep-lies
Rocio, of course not, this would not do.  Refugio reminds her that Rocio could have been rejected by her
own in-laws for not having pesos, just like Luzma.  Rocio protests that it is not the same!  Luzma has no culture or education!   Refugio, unfazed, tells Rocio that Luzma is merely reminding Rocio of what Rocio would prefer to forget about her own humble history.  It seems Rocio has become a meddling mother with misguided illusions of grandeur.  Blecchhh!

Camila’s Cabana:   Dio reports that LeoSordido has reportedly been found somewhere out of town.  He says, by way, that the power-of-attorney that has displaced Camila’s authority over the ranch is apparently worthless.  Camila plays dumb with Dio as he explains the fine legal points of presenting a P-O-A.  He reassures her that until Daniel presents himself in person, Camila will continue to be the queen and senora of the Malquerida.

Malquerida Dining Room:  Isa, sitting at the dining table, presses Piedad to tell her about the Albarran family.  Piedad obliges and runs down the list of family members.  When Piedad explains the grand size of the ranch, Isa’s eyes light up with peso signs.  We sense that Isa is hatching another scheme; this time involving the ranch down the road.

Pablo’s Room at Albarran House :  Bratgirl brings Pablo a tray with gelatin.   Pablo skeptically asks her since when has she been able to find her way around a kitchen.  She tells him she did it for him and even made him a cake and could he please forgive her.  We think Pablo should test the food she serves before he eats it, just in case.  He tells her to give the subject a rest.  Bratgirl gushes about how important Pablo is to her and she knows that he only has eyes for Luzma.  But she wants to be a special friend (wink, wink – with benefits if he wants).  She leaves the tray and asks Pablo to think about it.  Closing the door behind her she runs into Yago.  Yago tells her to give up her scheming for Pablo’s forgiveness.   Back in Bratgirl form she calls him stupid, sneers and stomps off.  That’s the Bratgirl we have all grown to love.

Vast Grounds of Rancho Buenaventura:   Mariano and Cayetano are still on their father son stroll.  Cayetano tells Mariano that he recently went to El Malquerida looking for Dio.   Dio was not there, but his muy guapa associate was.  They deduce that he is referring to Isavibora, AlLocoLonso’s mom, not Dio’s lovely wife Agustina.  Viewerville is yelling at the screen for Mariano to tell Dad to run and not walk the other direction from our femme fatale, Isavibora.  Mariano sighs upon hearing Isa’s name and explains to Cayetano that Camila’s ranch is going through many problems and changes.  On the bright side, Mariano says that his new adolescent hots for Camila has reinspired him.  He wants to resume building the house he was building before his late wife AnaMaria died.  He wants to share his life with someone who shares the same interest  in ranching that he does.  Note to Mariano:  it is always better to get the girlfriend to go on a date with you before you build her the house.

Camila’s Cabana:  Viv and Rafa arrive, sheepishly, looking for Dandres.  They assume he came to look for the person he loves, Camila.  Camila sarcastically looks around her desk then says, yes, of course he is there.  She points them to the bedroom. They go in to see him and comment on how ill he still looks.  Camila tells them she has been caring for him with antibiotics and such.   Camila spills that she is well aware that Dandres is Daniel; she snaps at Viv for showing surprise at this reveal.  Camila agrees to help care for Daniel until he is well enough to defend and fend for himself and that is it! She declares she understands them wanting justice for Daniel, but that she will never accept their dishonesty, nunca! Explain to the hand!  Camila is having none of their attempts to clarify the past events.

Ximena and Al’s Room:  Dio makes an appearance and tells Ximena they need to talk.  He wonders about her loyalty – after pledging to be united with the terrible two and a half adults – when she has moved into El Malquerida without consulting Dio.  Ximena tries to brush it off by saying Al and Isa knew so she figured she didn’t need to inform Dio as well.  Not good enough, says Dio, who reminds her that there is nothing he hates more than a traitor.  Dio suggests that Ximena is feeling entitled to the move based on her blood connections to Daniel and BioDadSr.  “Ohhh noooo,” assures Ximena as she reaffirms her loyalty to the two and a half adults.  Dio reminds her that she stands to be better compensated through Dio than through her brother who she barely knows.  To reinforce his point he pulls a wad of pesos from his pocket and gives it to her.  Ximena assures him she will try to get brother Dan to sell the ranch.  Dio replies, “Don’t try, just do it”.  Ximena quakes some more in her thigh high boots.

Living Room with the Family Albarran:  Natalia, serving as the family personal assistant, is helping settle Pablo into a comfy chair in the living room.  The family gathers and sighs relief that Pablo is on the mend.  Cayetano takes a call; the caller is informing him that LeoSordido has been caught and cut, er, had his tongue cut out.  The family breathes more relief and then plans a trip to the police station so Pablo can formally make his statement about LeoSordido’s attempt at his and Daniel’s life.

Kitchen at El Malquerida:  The workers are having lunch, Piedad is serving at the stove and Luzma is preparing a tray for Camila.  Rodolfo points out how much food Luzma has on the tray for someone who is sick.  Luzma blows off his metiche concern (is Rodolfo the food police now?) and starts out the door with the tray.  The phone rings and Luzma answers; Natalia is calling to tell Luzma that Tio LeoSordido has been caught and cut.  You know the rest.  Luzma wisely understands that LeoSordido will face obstacles reporting the perpetrator of his hacksawed tongue now because he cannot write or read.

Bad Licenciado Salomen’s Office:  Bad Lic is clearing pesos out of the safe.  The secretary returns and gives him AlLocoLonso’s cell phone number and she leaves.  Bad Lic calls Al to arrange a meeting with him in the lounge at Mexico’s international airport.  He orders him to be there, not to tell Isa under any circumstances and to be prepared to hear about the real circumstance of Al’s birth and origins.   Al looks pensive and agrees to the meeting.

Hospital Jail Wing:  LeoSordido is lying in the bed with a face full of bandages.   The police commander comes in and asks LeoSordido who did this to him apparently not noticing that Leo’s face is bandaged and forgetting the guy’s tongue is cut.  Viewerville thinks if this was someone from CSI, we would have the perpetrator’s name by now.   The commander hands Leo a pencil which Leo breaks in frustration.  We wonder what happened to the mugshot books or the etch-a-sketch.

Camila’s Cabana:  Viv and Rafa are still trying to “explain to the hand” of Camila.  Camila is not having it.  They explain that Aaron, fake Daniel, is really Rafa’s brother.   They hope that no one discovers who the real Daniel is before he gets well enough to defend himself.  You know the rest of this too. Camila – not buying it.

Hostel de Amanda:  Teresa is preparing to leave for Chile.  Thanks to Amanda, she has Julian’s passport copies so she can show that the visa stamps coincide with the “murder” of Marion.  Padre Anselmo cautions sister Teresa to be careful down there, she has no idea who she may encounter.  Padre reassures Amanda that little by little the bad guys are getting caught.  Amanda worries more about being discovered by Dio and having him “seduce” daughter Natalia with his charm and money – she fears he will spirit her away from Amanda.  Padre and Teresa reassure Amanda that Natalia has been raised with values and will not fall for Dio’s money and charm. They urge her to tell Natalia the truth about the crook that is her bioDad before Dio tries to charm her.   Amanda seems to be taking the information in and continues to fret nonetheless.

Camila’s Cabana:  Viv and Rafa are still explaining to the hand and Camila still ain’t buying it.  The aforementioned scene with explanations about who is who continue.  You know the rest.

Dining Room at Malquerida:  Piedad is reporting the news of LeoSordido’s  capture to Agustina and Dio while they eat.  Ximena overhears , “Que?”.  Piedad further elaborates about the hacksaw job on LeoSordido’s tongue.  Ximena is no dumb bombshell and puts two and a half and two and a half bad guys together and runs out shaking in her thigh high boots.  Dio tells Agustina to leave Ximena to run away in her horror and chews calmly on his pan dulce.  Agustina scolds Dio for not having told her about his role in turning in LeoSordido and Dio snidely says he is not the kind of fellow to grandstand and self-congratulate.   Dio seems to be running for citizen of the year in El Pueblo.

Albarran Business Office:  Natalia is working and the whistley music starts up.  Yago arrives and the two discuss the upcoming date in el campo.  Yago senses Nat’s hesitancy and asks “Now what?”  Nat worries that if the two of them are an item that his family will disapprove of her just like they disapprove of Luzma.  Yago pshawws her worry and says he is his own man and his family will not manipulate his life.  Comfort smoochies ensue.

Construction Site at Rancho Buenaventura:  Mariano has taken adorable Ana to the uncompleted house and tells her he is going to resume building the house.   The two of them talk about her memory and Ana relays to Mariano the story of her school chum who also lost her mother;  the father has since remarried and now the chum has a little brother.  Mariano asks adorable Ana is she too would like a little brother and a new mom to go with that swing in the backyard.  Adorable Ana nods enthusiastically.  Mariano is happy to know adorable Ana will not likely be an evil stepchild if he and Camila becomes novios.

Ximena and Al’s Room:   Al arrives to a sobbing Ximena shaking in her thigh high boots and shivering in her spandex.  “Que te pasa?” he asks.  Ximena tells him she had overheard Dio telling Isa she enjoys mayhem and murder and coinkidinkily, LeoSordido has been found with his tongue hacksawed out of his mouth.  Al reassures her that mumsy could never do this with her own hands, that this must have been a very distant henchman’s work.  Viewerville sees that even Al doesn’t believe himself.  Al reassures her that the pair of them just need to stick together.  He gives his suspenders a tug and assures her that “together we are okay.”   They hug and we see AlLocoLonso considering mumsy’s  highly likely sociopathy.   May we suggest this pair join Bad Lic Salomen Morales on his one way journey out of the country?

Viv’s Car:  Viv and Rafa are driving home from El Malquerida.  Viv sobs that they have lost Camila’s friendship forever.   Rafa has the presence of mind to call Aaron and have DAaron (fake Daniel) tell Dio  that he took  Dandres out of the hospital (Recapper retains the Dandres convention here because  Dio is one of the few that do not know who Dan really is!).  Rafa wants to buy real Daniel recuperation time until he can do the reveal to the bad guys.

Camila’s Cabana:  The police commander arrives to inform Camila that LeoSordido has been caught and that someone who wanted to keep him quiet or was seeking revenge cut out his tongue.  Camila, impactada, is glad that another criminal is off the formerly mean streets of el pueblo.  The commandant shares his theory that the recently escaped Dandres had a bone to pick with Leo and could be a suspect.  Camila suggests the commander talk to the attending physician to confirm that Dandres was likely too weak to have attacked LeoSordido.   The commander  considers this possibility.  Commander clueless has not impressed us with his sleuthing to date.

Office of Malquerida that Dio has Usurped:  Dio is on the phone with DAaron.  DAaron informs Dio that he has taken Dandres out of the hospital to keep him from returning to El Malquerida and to keep him from the two and half bad guys.  They agree to meet as planned.  Televisa zooms in and freezes the face shot of Dio.

Comments:
Thank you, Mena. I will look forward to the recap. Another exciting episode, full of detail.

I felt so sorry for Camila last night when she was talking with Vivi and Rafa. The truth is that they wanted Andres to tell Camila the truth. Vivi predicted how Camila would feel when the proverbial anvil struck. That said, I would hate to be on her bad said.

So, Mariano knew el Padre and Teresa well. Some romantic foreshadowing. And his father is smitten with Isadora. This is a case where you want to scream: run for the hills, Cayetano.

Alonso and Ximena are truly the morally befuddled duo who want the benefits of the relationships with the Isadora and Dio but not the pain. I was a little bit surprised by Ximena's revulsion at Isadora and glad to see that the writers are separating her greed from actual violence. I don't expect this to translate into kindness to her sister, but at lest she's not indicated a taste for murder! I don't recall seeing the actress who plays Ximena in anything else, but she's doing a good job.

Dio's face when he found out that Andres escaped from the hospital -- great moment.

They have to move Daniel somewhere; he is at very serious risk of discovery by El Diablo and he's in no shape to deal with him.

As for Leoncerdo, someone will figure out a way to get answers out of him.

Camila needs to talk to Becerra, who learned of Daniel's identity the day before he was shot. He can explain the legal issues for her if she had known and the issues for Daniel now. Why hasn't he spoken with Teresa?

I love that Alonssso is about to find out that Mommie Direst isn't his mother, although I have no idea what he will do with that knowledge.

I love this TN--the plot keeps moving along much faster than in most other TNs I've seen. It now seems clear that Mariano will eventually get together with Teresa, since she was apparently his novia before her family left town and Mariano met and married someone else.

Also, it looks as if tonight Alonso will learn a lot about his parentage, and perhaps this will have a negative impact on Isadora (since that is apparently the lawyer's motive for speaking with Alonso - speaking to himself, the lawyer said something like "Isadora, you destroyed my career and now I'm going to destroy your family"). I can't wait!

Great episode! While I totally get Camilla's outrage at Daniel, Rafael and Vivi, she's getting on my last nerve as well. I mean she's a smart woman, and I think she can fathom that Alonso, Mommie Dearest, and Lord of Darkness are up to no good. She is so passionate, which I love, but she's not very good at hiding her feelings. I seriously doubt she could have participated in the plot of exposing the opportunists in her life had she known.

I agree that the actress playing Ximena is doing a good job. I find her scenes interesting and actually humorous at times.

Looking forward to the recap Mena!

Urban- Last night Teresa said she had met with Becerra, and he gave her Julian's passport copies. We just didn't see the meeting. Or did you mean her meeting with Dan, which she already did?

Marta- Cami is gaining an understanding of the danger of Isa, Al and Dio. She doesn't trust any of them and she's playing along with this game. She's pretty mush joined the Justic League at this point. She's just a hostile member. The danger of what's happening doesn't change her being pissed that she was kept in the dark about it and lied to by everyone she trusts.

The Ximena atcress, Laura Carmine, was the heroine in the recent day time tn, "Ni Contigo, Ni Sin Ti." She played a very good, serious fashion designer. It was her first major role. Then she did a small part in the first episodes of Por Ella Soy Eva- she was the fiance of some big busniness partner and boinks the gakan unknowingly on camera, while a mass of people, including her fiance, watch. The business deal tanks, which causes the financial trouble that starts the whole story.

I have seen ads for a new telenovela on Telefutura starring Laura C. It's a remake of La Usupadora and she is the star (playing twins). Julian Gil is the galan. It's called "Quien Eres Tu?"

That's galan (Jaime Camil), not gakan. :)

Camila's rage over her so called friends lying to her is getting kind of old. That have pointed out that they lied to protect her but, alas, she isn't listening. Then, of course, she lies to the detective to protect Andres. And, helped cover up Luzma's wedding. Guess some lies are worse they others. If I were Rafa and Vivi, I would say give me a call when you get off the betrayal train, if you are still alive.

I'm still with Camila on this. In her mind SHE wasn't a danger to Daniel, so she should have been told. Lying to the cops to pretoct Daniel is totally different. She is not buying that it kept her safe to keep her in the dark. I don't quite buy that argument either. I understand it, but eventually she would have to know, so why not earlier before she's being bombarded with an avalanche of info, rather than little by little as the rest of them learned things. Also, lying abou the identity of the man you love and plan to start a life with is a pretty big deal. I feel bad for Rafa and Vivi, but it's not like they didn't know this was going to happen. I say give her time. This all happened in the last 24 hours, and every hour she's getting more shocking info that she didn't know.

Also, it's not like she's gone into some corner by herself to cry about it either. She's keeping busy caring for and protecting Dan, lying to the cops, and fending off Dio and trying to play it cool with him. I say, give the girl a break. She's also thinking about what the next steps are to get Dan's named cleared. There are more important things to do and worry about right now than Vivi and Rafa's feelings. Once Camila has more time to process, I'm sure she'll be better able to sort out her feelings about them and Dan.

Vivi - Thanks for the info on Laura Carmine.

While I get your point, Vivi, re: Cami's feelings of being betrayed, I agree with you, Anonymous, that it's getting old now, and Cami's done her fair share of lying. I admit that while watching last night, I was verbally encouraging Vivi and Rafa to walk out the door with a "Call me when you're done with your pity party and when you realize who your friends truly are."

OT: Julian "Lazy Eye" Gil as a galan?! Really?!

Anonymous 10:19 - I had the same thought when I read that Julian Gil was cast in the galan role. After seeing him do such a convincing job as the villain in Eva Luna and La Que No Podía Amar, I can't imagine believing in him as anything but a smooth-talking desgraciado.

I think that this information is all so new for Camila that she needs time to process it and figure it out. She doesn't yet know everything and what she does know, she's only known for a short time. Really, this is a fantastical story. It sounds crazy and I don't blame Camila for being skeptical. At least she's not turning Dan in.

Vivi, thanks for the info on Ximena. I knew I had seen her but didn't really remember where. I now appreciate her acting even more. She was so sweet in 'Ni Contigo Ni Sin Ti'
These actors can really make their roles come to life. Daniel Arenas is so cute as Willy in 'Amorcito Corazon' and I thought he was such a bore in 'Teresa' as Fernando.

Ximena has every right to be scared, and Al will eventually see how sick his mother is and what she's capable of after the lawyer talks to him. Tonight should be interesting.

It sounds like the police suspect it was a woman who did this to Leoncio, even though the policeman told Camila that Andres probably did it. I hope they don't haul in Luzma or Piedad down for questioning.

Salomon should have just told Beccerra the truth, but now he's leaving for New York. If Ximena was smart she'd book a seat on the same flight.

Mariano's house kind of looks like Jose Miguel and Valentina's house on STuD. (sort of)

I wonder how Alonso will take the news about Isadora?

I don't think the police suspect a woman did it because the chief acknowledged it would take someone with great strength to do it. Camila pointed out that Andres couldn't do it because he's too weak right now, and the cops should ask his doctor to confirm this.

The cops of course aren't counting on a woman with a small army of goons to help her do her dirty work, like Isa.

It has probably never occurred to anyone that to cut someone's tongue out requires that the victim be severely restrained. No way you can do this without at least two people restraining the victim unless he's tied up in a chair.

I almost felt for Xi and Alonso yesterday. Maybe they are redeemable. Camila is too angry when she says that she's waiting for Daniel to wake up so that "that man in there" can tell everyone that he is DDA. If she tells or tries to force his hand, he will be arrested and probably killed, then Camila will be kidnapped/incapacitated/killed, Agustina and Xi will be killed, leaving Dio and Isa to make out like wild animals as they simultaneously plot to kill each other for La Mal.

I base that on the police questioner asking Leoncio who esa persona and la persona was that did this to him.

Anon207 - that's because "persona" is a feminine word in Spanish so it applies to male and female.

It's always interesting that in the midst of beautiful settings in these TNs, so much horrible violence can occur.

There was the violence in La Que No Podia Amar and violence Leoncerdo inflicted upon Luzma and the violence inflicted upon Leoncerdo.

The man is utter filth, but just think of the visual image in that scene that we didn't see...the image of someone holding that man's tongue so that it can be cut off with no anesthetic. Think about it and how horrible it must have been. It's a miracle the filthy rotten man didn't drown in his own blood.

I shudder when I think of this. This is when it is sometimes so very hard for me to watch these shows.

I agree it would have taken two strong men to have held Leoncerdo down so that Isadora could grab the tongue to slice it off.

Violence begets violence and is never justified, in my view. There is justifiable punishment and then there is violence. Isaodora is the most sickening of all of the evil characters.

The comment about LQNPA somehow didn't make sense. Was simply trying to say that it, too, was a violent show for me on many levels.

Vivi, your 2 comments (Nov 29, 09:10:00 AM & 09:49:00 AM,) express exactly how I feel about Cami and her point of view. I think that 2 episodes is a bit early to expect Cami to forgive and forget all wrongs that she's feeling and I think that she's expressing her feelings appropriately.

Even though both Vivi and Rafa are both feeling devastated by Cami's reaction, the fact that they don't get an attitude or respond with less than compassion is because they value the friendship and would rather repair it than lose it.

Comment from Tues ep: great job with the makeup on CdlF. He looked really sickly and pasty. The acting wasn’t too bad, either.

Marta: I wondered why the Scooby Gang didn’t tell Cam what the deal was. She’s an intelligent woman but you make an excellent point about her passion getting the better of her.

I also was a little peeved at Cam for her attitude. But I have to remember that she’s been betrayed by her husband, her sister and her mother—to some extent. And also, by her uncle, somewhat. Besides that passionate nature of hers means she’s going to be mad as hell—but her good heart and intelligence will cause her to get over it sooner rather than later.

Foxy: “Even though both Vivi and Rafa are both feeling devastated by Cami's reaction, the fact that they don't get an attitude or respond with less than compassion is because they value the friendship and would rather repair it than lose it. “ very good point.

Nanette

Thanks for the recap Mena!

I love so many of your lines. Some faves:

* "Rocio is in bed, suffering from mumsy-meddlitis in the form of a big fat headache."

* "Back in Bratgirl form she calls him stupid, sneers and stomps off. That’s the Bratgirl we have all grown to love."

* The part about Natalia being the "family assistant"

* All of the "thigh-high boots" comments for Ximena.

Also, did anyone notice the way that Camila addressed Vivi and Rafa as "Ustedes" when they came into her cabana? That hit me kind of hard.

My thought is that the light will come on for Camila if/when:

1) Ximena actually confides in her. (May not be likely, but not impossible.)

2) She overhears something at LaMal, e.g. Dio talking, Isa talking.

3) Osvaldo and/or Amanda giving her even more information.

Thanks for the recap! I also enjoy all of the comments. Looking forward to tonight's episode!

Thanks Mena, I love Ximena shaking in her thigh high boots and shivering in her spandex. So funny.

NetGirl, Ustedes is the the only form that is used to mean you plural. There isn't any other way to say you both.

OOops! Thanks for the correction Cathyx!! I'm trying to remember what I've said before. Oh, I remember, I've used "los dos." I don't always get the formal and informal correct on the singular side. Thanks again for the correction!

Netgirl, we are all learning here, so all these discussions help us to master the language.

The previews show Alonso looking sick to his stomach. He must have heard what Morales had to tell him and now realizes what Isadora is capable of. I re-feel sorry for him again.

Great work, Mena. Love those comments about the thigh-high boots.

It's high time Camila looks at El Diablo's barging into her space as something beyond bad manners. It's presumption bordering on hubris and it's perverse in the bargain.

She also needs to meet Aaron and hear the rest of the story.

Bratgirl needs a spanking with a ping pong paddle.

Mena, thanks very much for this very enjoyable recap. There were so many good lines. Aside from those already mentioned, I'd highlight Ximena "shivering in her spandex," your note to Mariano that "it is always better to get the girlfriend to go on a date with you before you build her the house," and your saying that Dio "merely came to see if he could offer his secret fantasy girl anything."

I can't wait to see what happens tonight!

Mena: Witty recap.

Laugh out loud moments:

“Note to Mariano: it is always better to get the girlfriend to go on a date with you before you build her the house.”

“The police commander comes in and asks LeoSordido who did this to him apparently not noticing that Leo’s face is bandaged and forgetting the guy’s tongue is cut. Viewerville thinks if this was someone from CSI, we would have the perpetrator’s name by now.”

“Natalia is working and the whistley music starts up. “

Hearing “estupido” coming out of a bad girl’s mouth—oh how I missed it (remember Roberta in CME—her favorite word?)

I think it odd that in this TN, becoming a priest was a bad thing to the Anselmo family. Usually, families are overjoyed by that happening.

Mena- All my favorite lines have already been mentioned, but I particularly enjoyed your description of Xi in her thigh high boots and spandex.

Cathyx- Perhaps a rich, old family like Anselmo's preferred their oldest son to have some kids and carry on the name.

I am wondering whether Anselmo was a first-born or perhaps the only son? Not that it matters.

I'm sure Teresa has a good cover story for her trip to Chile. I hope she doesn't mention Daniel's name until she finds at least one good clue.

Urban Anthropologist, I think that Padre Anselmo has brothers. He mentioned something not having a career like his brothers, like being a lawyer or an architect. I think that I heard that correctly. I was assuming that there are two brother with those careers, but he may have been using those as examples.

I wonder if they are going to show Teresa back in Chile. It would be more interesting if they film it that way rather than to have the viewing audience get reports of what is happening through Padre Anselmo.

Thanks so much, Mena. I wanted to comment earlier but just couldn't get to it. Great lines and a wonderful summary.

I think it's all been said, but I want to make one more comment about Camila's reaction to deception. This is not to say that I didn't want Rafa and Vivi to leave and tell her to call them when she was ready -- I did. But I think we are going to have to have some more anger for the character to stay in character.

Remember, Camila had no friends at the ranch, where she had gone to recover from Luis' death. She fell in with Vivi and Rafa, who encouraged her to live more freely and to get away from the dreadful Alonso. They helped her break away from her mother's influence, too. So now she has a bunch of people either out to get her or hostile to her (Alonso, Ximena, Agustina, Isadora, Dio) and her two precious friends and her recently found love-of-her-life seeming to betray her. She is the brains behind the ranch, she was recently gored by a bull -- you get my drift. She needs to stay mad for a few days. I think our Vivi is right -- she's on the team but has to be a hostile member for a bit or she's not Camila.

Does anyone remember from Manana es para siempre how SN's character reacted to the deception? I don't think she was angry for even a minute, but got on board with the Justice League immediately. Totally different situation, different character, etc. I just keep thinking about MEPS because it was another case when SN was attracted to a man (FC) who was not who he seemed to be.

Thanks so much for the fabulous recap, Mena. I love all the witty comments already mentioned by others, and also this one relating to Ximena and Alonso: May we suggest this pair join Bad Lic Salomen Morales on his one way journey out of the country?

Mena thanks so much for your recap. Yes poor Cam is having a bad day.

Mena, you are so funny and clever. Love the recap.

Thanks Mena for a great recap which provided for lots of valid comments as well as my much needed daily dose of fantasy:-)

netgirl- Anselmo doesn't necessarily have two brothers. He could just have one brother, and a sister Teresa. The plural form is still the same-- hermanos.
