TJ- what a wonderful terrific recap. Loved your woody, hmmm comment, lol.

So Renato outed himself. Good for him, bad for Lucia. She looked so hurt, and Santi and Angie not too much longer for them either it seems. That guy with Angie sure was laughing. Maybe Santi will catch Angie en flagrante.

So the plot thickens with all the fraudsters being in the same place. Rebe, Pluti and Mendoza. Only JC, I think he is disguised and Juan Perez again, and Helena are innocent. JC is still attracting women it seems from the advances, lol.

Poor Eugenia, I had to agree with her, that protaganista was terrible. Too bad Eugenia up and left, she should have stayed and showed that girl a thing or two. I can't stand the smirking Claudia.

Glad Silvia is sticking to getting the divorce from Bastardo. She will have a much better life.

That dinner with Adri and Mimi was so cute. She really was feeding him and when he hugged her it was like deja vu for him. That perfume is going to give her away.
 

Great job TJ! Finally one hidden truth is revealed. You could tell how hard it was for Renato to reveal the truth, and also how hard it was for him to keep going with the lie with Lucia. The tears in those long lashed eyes got to me.

I know one way to a man's heart is through his stomach, but Mimi needs to realize that Adri needs no help in that department. She should be feeding the big guy healthy, low cal foods and taking him on walks.

I kept wondering how close to real life that acting scene with a no talent young actress was for the Eugenia actress. I seem to remember she was in a tn with stare off into space and bite the inside of my mouth while tilting my head- Maite Peroni. Hmmmmmmm...
 

LOL, TJ. Loved the recap. Especially your version of Adri's special feeling when he gets close to Mimi. Of course, Vivi, you are right about what Adi needs in the food &exercise department. But for now Mimi is on track with her pampering and comfort food. I love how Adri reacats -- first to the feel of the hug and then to the perfume. One of these days he's going to realize.

I also loved the look on Camil's face when Helena told JC that Eva was her guardian angel who would never betray her. He knows that Eva's very existence is betraying Helena. I'm starting to think that the way this plot will develop is that JC will be proved innocent -- but that the trail won't lead back to Pluti. Then JC can make a reappearance at GI as himself -- and the Eva secret will be out. But Helena will be so upset & angry at the betrayal of the fake Eva that she will still not go back to JC.

Thank you for the fun recap! Telenovelalandia met reality when a few days back I went into a local grocery store and saw Lalo's LaLa milk sitting in the dairy department. Is that an "Ay, caray!" moment? Anyway, Mimi and Adri were so cute as she was doting on him at dinner. Those two better end up together. Finally Renato came out of the closet and Lucia maybe will be talking a whole lot less. I felt bad for him because I really believe he did not wan to hurt her. Let us see how fast that info flies and if it will have any impact on his position. I love that Rebeca has made her way to Acapulco. I don't love Pluti's plans for Helena.

That was funny, TJ. Thank you. Yes, Pluto shut up in response to Helena defending Eva. But let's face it- he has good reason not to like her. Eva takes every opportunity to second guess, criticize, and mock Pluto, to his face and behind his back. Helena should very well be able to understand why Pluto doesn't like Eva.

I had the same reaction as Guera to Camil when Helena described Eva as her guardian angel that would never betray her. His look was a mixture of guilt, regret, and panic.
 

TJ, thanks so much for the entertaining recap! I was rolling with the woody comment. I am hoping that in the happy ending to this novella that Adri's head catches up with his 'tingly feelings' and he realizes that he and Mimi are meant for each other.

I think Juan's reaction to Helena's 'guardian angel' comment was honest guilt for deceiving her yet again. But in this case it may really complicate things at the office if Helena knows that Juan is Eva. I'm not sure though and admit to being on the fence.

Ugg I too hate Pluty's and Mendozas plan for Helena. Talk about a shark tank. And Mendozas eyes belong in a horror movie. She should be able to look into those eyes alone and see danger.?! Gertie

Gertie, I'm so glad you're posting with a name instead of Anon. Now I can connect your various comments. I find I pay closer attention to posts that have a name.

Agreed, Bill. Camil is the master of silent monologues - he'll express a complex series of reactions, all without saying a word. There was a scene in LEPerez where he silently expressed the following:
*Why'd she do that?
*Oh, she must know about XYZ.
*That means she doesn't hate me!

Maybe this will be the start of Lucia's transformation. To protect Renato she can't tell anyone his secret. That means she will have to be more circumspect - to actually think before she talks. That can only be good.

Vivi, your comments about Juan's secret. In many (most?) TNs the Galán has a Really Big Secret (RBS) that the Sweet Young Thing doesn't find out until the final week. When she finds out, she's furious and vows she'll hate the galán forever. Then there is some big dramatic event and he wins her back in time for the wedding in the finale.

In Eva I thought the RBS would be that Juan is alive, and Helena wouldn't find out until the final week. Instead, they've made Eva/Juan the RBS. I like that! It means that during this stage we get to see Helena and Juan working together, and slowly she's letting him get closer. But the price of that gift to us the viewers? It means they still have to hold SOMETHING as the RBS. That something is that Eva is Juan. As such, I'm pretty certain Helena won't find that out until the last week.

 

Anyone ever heard Rebeca's use of the word "cachito" that she calls some people? I looked it up and the meaning is "a little bit". Espera un cachito= wait a sec. But since Rebeca uses it for people, I'm wondering if it's an affectionate term or or a put down.

Glad to see Renata finally out himself to Lucia. As annoying as she can be, she's good people and can be trusted to help him out.

Kelly- I also looked up the word cachito it can also mean drop by drop, so maybe she considers him a little drop in the bucket, or small cog in the wheel maybe? When she uses that word on him, she seems to use it affectionately, but on other people, like the naco/nacas it is more of an insult.
 

One if my amigas from Mexico told me that cachito is usually an endearment but the way Rebecca uses it she intends it as a put down. She seems to use her endearments and nicknames in both the masculine and feminine forms on just about everyone except Adriano.

Did Eva really say that her aunt died choking on a chimichanga? That's hilarious! I totally missed that. That's why I love you recappers!! Gertie
