Por ella soy Eva #102 12/11/12: Blog Mom Does a Concert, Eats Brisket, Forgets It's Her Night to Blog. Talk Among Yourselves...

Yes, I had another concert of our new Hanukkah songs show last night and forgot to blog. Here is a rough translation of the highlights of the esmas recap and I hope y'all can fill in (and add the snark which is missing from the official sinopsis of capitulo 106).

Helena tells Plutarco nothing has happened to make her distant, but she can't believe he's one of those who believes a woman becomes a man's property when they marry.

Adriano, sad and desperate, begs Eva not to leave him. She says she's not the woman for him, but he says he'll die without her.

Onésimo blackmails Rebeca again, into sleeping with him: if she doesn't he will show proof of all she's done. She says he should be patient.

Jennifer hears her parents fighting and discovers them lying. She calls Daniel and says she'll to go Acapulco with him.

Juan Carlos makes a notebook of his investigations and wants to prove to Helena her project was robbed, so she'll trust him.

Eugenia is excited because she's gotten a tv series audition, but Claudia tries to make her feel insecure. Eugenia calls Juan and asks him to go with her.

Helena tells Adriano she has many doubts about whether Juan Carlos was the fraudster after what happened with Fernando.

Helena reads the report on the fraud and notices the fellow who accused Juan was Maximiliano Montes, she asks Vero to get the telephone number. Innocently, Vero asks: "Oh, Eva's sweetheart?" Immediately Helena remembers Plutarco mentioning Montes and later remembers that Eva also has been investigating the fraud. Helena suffers, fearing it's Eva who is behind the fraud.

Sorry, friends!

mmmm brisket. The best part was Eva and Adriano. At Mimi's prompting to let him down now before it gets worse, Eva tries to untangle herself from the relationship. She vacillates between feeling bad for him and punching him to get him to be less physical. He makes funny faces while she scolds him for various offenses, like "I wasn't finished talking!" Is she ever? But he'll die without her so she feels she has to relent.

Also of interest was Santi and Lucia giving each other advice on the phone like old girlfriends. She actually said something smart. He's all worried that Angelica is fooling around and she points out that these are just his worries, they're not facts.

And I continue to worry about Silvia...

Melinama, brisket sounds wonderful. I too hate what is happening with Silvia. Seems like Bastardo just wants Silvia around so he doesn't have to be alone. Hated the way he wiped the kiss of his face and the way he told her not to go to work. What a jerk!

Eva and Adri are too funny, but it's a good thing she tried to get out of the relationship. It's sad that Adri admitted to Eva she is the one and only love of his life. Poor guy. Now what is Eva gonna do?

So they are bring Max up again? But I am glad Helena noticed that. Maybe little by little Helena will figure out what a fraud Pluti really is. But now she thinks Eva had something to do with it? Oh, noes.

Had to laugh at Rebe praying to the Virgincita again, lol. I wonder if she will cave to Onesimo's blackmail?

It is so not good that Jennifer is going off with Daniel to Acapulco. There is something skanky about that guy.

Couldn't stand what Claudia did to Eugenia, but I'm glad Eugenia is ignoring her. I think she is causing hate and discontent between Eugenia and Modesto. Modesto wasn't happy about Eugenia going back to work, and that face he made. What is so bad with Eugenia going back to work?

Silvia bothers me the most because after seeing the "wiping off" of her kiss, it seems that Bastardo is reeling her in for even worse times. He is intent on isolating her again from everyone else and anything else, and unfortunately she doesn't recognize what he is doing. She needs to be back in her support group. It looks like it is just a matter of time before Rebecca has to compensate Oneisimo. He is getting bolder everytime he appears. I don't think her prayers are going to do her any good.

I agree Mad, there is something greasy, even sinister about Daniel. It makes me so mad because Marcella and Fernie despite his faults have done a great job raising those two kids.

I'm glad Helena is strong enough to question Pluty's approach to marriage...ie husbands own wives like property. He doesn't need to say it, just by his actions she is finally starting to see it beneath the sharkskin suits.

I cheer Helena on, but I also worry for her. By going against the grain and pursuing the truth about this fraud she is telling Adri things he doesn't want to hear. She is also putting Pluty in a position to get more aggressive even dangerous with his ongoing fraudulent practices. Both of these Guys can take her job away from her or worse. She has a kid and a Mom that need her and a father who will sell her out to get custody of the kid. Pluty really got her that job, though she was more than qualified. I think her best weapons will be Eva and the trust of the people/lil beach director of Playa Mayhauga.

Thanks, Melinama!

I also missed this episode (no brisket involved) so I was very sorry to hear Eduardo is now wiping off Silvia's kisses. Dang - he just doesn't evolve. Hope this doesn't end up with Silvia telling Helena that men can't change.

Daniel is a sneak. His parents alluded to some mysterious trouble back at that cookout. Hope sweet Jennifer doesn't have to suffer.

Pluto is such a snake. He tells Helena that after they're married others can take over the PlayaM project and she will be able to quit her job. Then she explodes, so he says, "Darling, you misunderstood. Of course I wouldn't expect you to quit your job." And she bought it. ARRRGGG!!!
