Amorcito Corazón Discussion #189-193 Jan. 7-11
In spite of Marisol’s efforts, evil abuela tells the younger Maris that Fer is in jail for drug trafficking as of course she believes he is guilty and wants to expose the kind of person he is. This sharing causes Marifer, the youngest, to have a severe asthma attack and if you watch Horny actually rolls her eyes when it happens – WITCH!!! They all head off the hospital and Lucia joins them. Thankfully Marifer is OK though Marilu is vexed they were kept in the dark. But (say it with me everyone) we know it’s the últimos capítulos because the girls realize Horny is evil, blame her for Marifer’s incident, and request she leave the hospital.
Barf and Knuckles have a confrontation because he’s cancelled their dinner b/c he claims they have to plan better if they are going to fool his father’s attorney.
F5 buys baby stuff, whatever. He takes her home and stops by Zoe’s room before he leaves. Though I’m nauseated by this plot, the baby sneezes a few times and its very cute. Oh here is a surprise, NOT, the baby starts crying and he calls Mr. C.
Of course Poncho gets bored watching Jorrible and leaves; once he does, Jorrible exposes himself for the slime he is. He is trying to deflect his involvement w/the dealer he killed earlier because his current business partner will kill him if he finds out Jorrible took the other guy out. Later Poncho goes by Isa’s and finally Isa and Sarita hear something incriminating.
Unfortunately the really bad plot of convincing Moncho to send his EIGHT year-old son with SERIOUS physical problems off to the US continues. During Willy’s turn, he says it’s a great honor b/c the child is so smart and a blessing from God. This is an addition from Vivi - "Willy suggests to Moncho that if Tuqueque wins the scholarship, he and Adelita move to the States. That way Moncho can pursue his own dreams of success, and they'll solve the once a year visit problem by being close to Tuqueque." Moncho has a heart-to-heart with Tuqueque later where it seems he is going along with this great opportunity executed in a really bad way.
Lucia has Mr. C come by the hospital to tell the younger Maris the true status of their dad. Meanwhile Horny has the audacity to claim the Lucia is the worse of “them” and calls her masseuse b/c evil is stressful. Later Mr. C arrives with Marisol and Marilu to save sorry F5 from his incompetence. The next day Mr. C comes by again to help with the baby. These scenes only prove what we all thought about who should be and hopefully is the real father. Thanks Blue Lass for noting that the girl's name is Pelusita," which kind of means "little fluff-ball."
Nice moment– Marilu tells Marisol the reason they visited their evil abuela was to get money for a surprise party for the latter.
Beba has a funny conversation with her maid (sorry I forgot her name) about Gabino. Beba only sees him as a friend b/c he works too hard.
In one of the most hilarious scenes this TN has given us, Isa and Poncho go undercover to flush out Jorrible b/c Sarita insisted that Isa not go alone to take down Jorrible. Their outfits are wonderfully ridiculous. EWM shows up along with the cop who is following her. Then Jorrible arrives and sits with her for a brief moment and they diss on Isa. EWM confesses to sleeping with Jorrible and the cop heard. Hurray! Jorrible meets with new hitmen to protect him from rIcky. Thanks so much Anon 9:09 pm.

Hola amiguis! I am back and I am caught up. (Yes, I did watch 14 episodes of AC over the weekend; that is totally healthy and not obsessive.)
Looking forward to today's recap and episode, but just on a purely shallow note regarding my catchup viewing, I must say that Fernando is finally getting attractive to me again. Some of those scenes in the jail, where he was finally getting a clue and getting angry at the right people and the lighting was just so...whew! Now I remember why I always thought Diego Olivera was so attractive. He had become so offputting with the stupidity that I forgot.
Marisol, however, is just being moronic beyond all belief. She needs some sense knocked into her. What she learned from her family's chaos is that Juancho needs to stick with Barf and their nonexistent baby? And therefore somehow she needs to take Knuckles back? Shouldn't she have learned that she should NOT be having a relationship with a crazy manipulative person whom she doesn't much care for? HMMMM?!

I can't figure out where they're going with this Tuqueque scholarship thing, or what we're "supposed" to think of it. He's too young. Only seeing the family once a year sounds like a cult, not like a great opportunity. What the hell kind of boarding school is this? I bet they train spy assassins. That's the only thing that makes sense, but why would they want a kid recently out of transplant surgery? They must not know about that.
Why does Adelita and everyone else think it's so great? That kind of smacks of evil stepmom wanting to get rid of the kid, even though we know she isn't evil. Surely a motivated kid can get a good education in his local school, and go abroad for high school or college if he wants to.

Correction - EWM did not confess to having messed up Isa's car. isa and Poncho did overhear though when EWM and Jorrible talked about having slept together in the past. The cop who has been following her overheard this. Also, Jorrible was not planning anything new. He needed the new hitman to protect himself from Ricky who is now after him.

EWM was accusing Jorge of putting the drugs in Fer's car. Unfortunately, he didn't fess up, so the cop who was tailing her had nothing substantial to report back to Idrogo.
Tidbits:
- F5 calls the baby "Pelusita," which kind of means "little fluff-ball" or something like that.
- Beba's maid was trying to fix her up with the butcher. Beba was trying to be all "democrática" but couldn't help being horrified.
- Are they setting us up for some kind of Pygmalion plot with Knuckles & Barf? Do we have time for that???

Thanks for your additions BL. Since the writers can often go off-track and show us things like Jorrible sitting around, yes we could do a Pygmalion thing w/Barb; I think the show ends on Jan 30th. Though most of us just want comeuppance for her and Knuckles, I think Knuckles is trying to double cross her in some way.

The baby sneezes were absolutely adorable! I was happy to see things unfold with the baby exactly as we predicted. Felipe is useless.
I was also happy to see the young Maris finally learn what a witch their granny is. I am so ready for Horty to get her comeuppance.

One additional thing-- Willy suggests to Moncho that if Tuqueque wins the scholarship, he and Adelita move to the States. So they may be sending the whole fam off to the U.S. by the end of this tn.
I don't know why they've been suppressing those curls all this time. It's a crime against humanity. Let the guapitude run free!
Maybe the hair people know the power of the curls, and choose to only set them free in final capitulos, like the Beltbuckle's amazing curls in the final of El Talisman.

I like that Willy got Moncho thinking in less black and white terms about Tuqueque's options, like gee, maybe it isn't "stay here, miserable pathetic loser life" vs. "go away, guaranteed success but never see the family", but they need to do a lot more thinking. I have a hard time seeing how Moncho and Adelita are going to just up and move and make a success of it. He has JUST finally gotten a foothold in a real career in Mexico. What are they going to find to do in the states? And I still think this school sounds shady.

For those of us enjoying curly Fer, we get another does of him and he's angry too. He has learned that the younger Maris know the truth and from whom via Mr. C. He is understandably vexed and wants both of them (EWM & Horny) committed.
Willy and Lucia continue to act silly as does F5 with his daughter.
Barf and Knuckles have an amusing dinner where they insult one another. She wins this round b/c she called the lawyer, got him to come to dinner, charmed him with her lies. This will come back to bite her as the lawyer now wants Barf and her family to come to dinner.
Moncho gives Willy a tongue lashing for the continued foolishness w/Lucia.
The best part of the rIcky is going to get Jorrible plot was rIcky texting a threat as his wig and facial hair are kind of lame. He also sneaks into Jorrible's house and I'm concerned poor Beba might get hurt; rIckys blames her for his picture being in the paper. Never mind rIcky DID steal little Aldo.
Jorrible meets with his shady American business partner, Mr. Smith. I think the associate wants all of Fer's company so they are planning to harm Fer.
Zoe is conscious, hurray! And she accepts Pelusa as a name; I'm not there.

I thought I recognized Guardaespaldas #2, too -- was he the evil Fito in Teresa (the one who used to put drugs in sandwiches)? Or does he just look like him?

I know it's too early yet but I had high hopes for Willy & Lucia in this epi. They did both come together with the intent of coming clean about their feelings -- and then along comes the fake girlfriend who doesn't know about Willy's new intention. How idiotic this storyline is!
Yes Felipe & Cecilio in bed with the baby was so funny - ro reminiscent of 3 Men and a Baby (even if there's only 2 of them) Best part of this episode. Although Barbara besting Mauricio at dinner was a close second.

BL & Vivi - I knew a bodyguard looked familiar but I don't think I would have guessed his earlier role.

Help! I missed half of it this afternoon and turned it on when Lucia was zonked out with her head on the desk in the gym office. What happened? Did someone drug her or did she drink herself into oblivion. Someone said yesterday that Willy & Lucia continut to ack silly--please fill me in. I can't take it any longer.....
Anita- Lucia indeed drank herself into oblivion in order to get Dutch courage to tell Willy how she really feels about him, despite the fact that she thinks he's about to marry someone else (result of his silly game). Obviously, both their plans have backfired.
Lucia needs to kidnap Willy and trap him in an isolated cabin in the woods. Methinks their problems would be solved.
Sorry for my lateness, the day was really long and I'm going to share the best part first. Zoe is awake, well, and not returning to F5! If none of the couples I want together are together at least we can all be happy here.

Jazmin shares alcohol w/Lucia, the latter gets drunk, and returns to the gym. Mr. C comes to take her home and then Willy, Moncho, and Adelita think they (Lucia & Mr. C) were kissing. And it gets worse b/c Willy's fake gf, who is a bit long in the tooth, believes that Lucia and Mr. C love one another.

Yes, he looks like the Santiago Diaz Herrera that I went gaga over (when he was paired with Silvia N). And thank you Vivi, for long ago sending me the link to their hot love scene.
Funny, no? I predicted that F5 wouldn't last long with the bebe, but he didn't even last 3 hours! And he called Ceci. I thought surely he would call Isa or Sarita. So, they are still playing 2 men and a baby and sweet talk their way into the holding pen to talk to Fer. Too funny. Also funny, while they were still waiting, he told Ceci to change her. So glad to hear Zoe isn't going back to his house and told him so. I think he's going to miss the IDEA of being daddy and having baby, but not the reality. Wonder when F5's first night out on the town will be.
So RIck-y is planning to pick Jorrible's weak spot--his mama. Oh, boy, is he ever wrong about that one. He'd just as soon throw her to the wolves himself and keep her money. Can't wait to see Meester Smeeth (remember El Tal?) reaction when he can't get ahold of the whole enchilada.

Willy's fake gf keeps telling him Lucia doesn't love him. Please remove this fake obstacle writers. He later stops by the casa hogar to see Lucia but he is not allowed to see her.
Poncho and Susie continue to scheme on how to spy on Jorrible. He puts the camera along the bookends on the desk. Unfortunately there is a glitch (lack of connection) and both Susie and Poncho worry Jorrible might find them out.
Barf brings her parents, actually actors, to Knuckles's so they can work her martial plan. I think Knuckles & Barf could be good together once they get their comeuppance; they are junior villains in the making.
Curly hair/anger alert - EWM visit Fer and he goes ballistic again. She gets angry too when he calls the guards to take her away. Her back talk gets her some cooler time, yeah. This altercation leads to Fer FINALLY telling Mr. C and F5 he wants a divorce. Hey, better late than never.
Unfortunately EWM gets released and by the end of the episodes hands Lucia a fake letter she wrote pretending to be Fer telling the Maris she's the only one he trusts. Though we're in the últimos capítulos, a few people still must do incredibly dumb things so the villains can have one last stand (see Beba below). Let's hope Lucia just stays dumb with Willy only and doesn't help the Maris get kidnapped.
rIcky continues to stalk Beba. Jorrible has also assigned one of his bodyguards (the former Frito) to watch her. Poor Beba thinks the bodyguard is a thief and tells the police this (she's driving) so he gets detained. As bad luck would have it, as Beba exits her car, she causes rIcky to fall off his moto. Since she can't get him to go to the hospital, she takes him to eatery close by. We know she's been lonely and so she falls hook, line, and sinker for rIcky's charms; I know, heaven help us. Beba really needs to be with us to the end.
Horny disses Margarita badly - Horny won't visit Marisol though its her b-day b/c they need to apologize to her. Margarita says you may be right but she will be alone and the old bruja says nobody asked you, you are just a servant. Hopefully this is the catalyst that makes Margarita quit and testify against the witch.

rIcky continues to stalk Beba. Jorrible has also assigned one of his bodyguards (the former Frito) to watch her. Poor Beba thinks the bodyguard is a thief and tells the police this (she's driving) so he gets detained. As bad luck would have it, as Beba exits her car, she causes rIcky to fall off his moto. Since she can't get him to go to the hospital, she takes him to eatery close by. We know she's been lonely and so she falls hook, line, and sinker for rIcky's charms; I know, heaven help us. Beba really needs to be with us to the end.
Horny disses Margarita badly - Horny won't visit Marisol though its her b-day b/c they need to apologize to her. Margarita says you may be right but she will be alone and the old bruja says nobody asked you, you are just a servant. Hopefully this is the catalyst that makes Margarita quit and testify against the witch.
I was wondering if anyone would be willing to take a day as the semester has started and things are getting busy. We only have a few weeks left and any assistance I get would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Was Barf's "martial plan" a typo or deliberate? I love it. It's a martial marital plan, and couldn't happen to a more deserving guy. If they end up married, it will serve them both right.
Lucia looked pretty disbelieving of that letter. For one thing, as she asked, why would he give it to Manwitch? Why not Cecilio? Plus, one would hope she and the Marias would know that wasn't his handwriting. Plus, of course there is absolutely no way he'd send the girls off with Manuela because "she's the only one he trusts". Please. Laying it on a little thick there, isn't she? He sent the kids away specifically to get them away from her! Everyone knows he hates her! Since we're in ultimos capitulos, I hope no one will fall for such stupidity.
I love that the police stuck Manuela in jail overnight for being a snotty jerk. Why can't they arrest her for real? Why can good guys be trapped in jail forever over the flimsiest of accusations, but when it's a baddy, suddenly the police need rock solid proof?

Thanks Karen! I'm with Julia that I don't think Lucia believed that stupid letter. Mani really is an idiot. I still marvel that she has gotten this far. It shows how stupid, or negligent, the good guys around her have been.

For the most part, the good guys had a good day. Thankfully Lucia does rip up EWM's note and Poncho is able to reconnect the camera in Jorrible's office.
Juancho remembers Marisol and her birthday. He tries to give her his gift at school but Knuckles shows up so he drops it off at the casa hogar. At school, Barf is a little more than ticked at Knuckles continued attention to Marisol
Poncho proposes to Doris and earlier he invited Susie to the wedding. I'm hoping Susie somehow meets a great guy at the wedding.
Jorrible and rIcky continue their texting war w/Jorrible realizing Willy is rIcky's brother and who their mother is. Per Beba's orders, Olga had overhears Jorrible when he realizes who rIcky is and makes threats to Willy. She tells Beba, Beba reprimands Jorrible, and he later threatens Olga. This guy can't get his soon enough.
Lucia actually tells Marisol to think about Juancho.

Karen- Thanks so much for Friday's recap. It was really a bittersweet episode with Isa and Fer's brief and tearful reunion, Doris and Poncho deciding to get married while she's in jail, and Marisol's 18th b-day with everyone present but the two men she loves most-- her dad and Juancho.

I was really disappointed in Beba, encouraging Olga to spy on Jorrible and then totally capitulating to his BS in the first 5 seconds -- and then leaving Olga alone with him! She is not looking out for her home girl.

Jorrible and EWM are the nastiest pieces of work. Can they please off each other ASAP? I assume rIcky is going to die of infection from his wound any time now.
I did like how Cecilio and all the police staff gave EWM the runaround. How she thinks insulting everyone is going to get her any favors, I've no idea.
How is Fer being moved to prison when he hasn't had a trial and the evidence against him is so suspicious? Cecilio and FFFFF said it was good because there he could have more visitors, but Fer is way too pretty for the real prison to be a good thing.
When Juancho was waiting outside the school, I was hoping Marisol would walk right past Knuckles and his clown car of balloons and give herself a real birthday present in a drastic novio trade-up, but this way she now has her mother's bracelet as a gift from Knuckles...and she's 18 and can visit her dad...so this plotline should gel soon.

I don't think it's insulting people that gets you where you want to go, Julia -- it's insulting people in an amazing leather dress.
In my first TN, Cristal, the two chief baddies -- each of whom was married to or otherwise entangled with one of the romantic leads -- offed each other in a hot tub, with a pistol and poisoned cognac, I believe. So there *is* hope for a gratifying twofer (although it would be hard to top that one.)

Karen--I'm not ignoring you. I'm not where I can send it to you (Diego & Silvia). You can find it on YouTube. Put MTC-62.5 in the search box for the hottest scene, but it you want to start at their meeting again it starts ay 62.1. The poster is SySBasanezNavarro. Unfortunately you have to go through a lot of stuff you won't follow unless you watch it from the beginning, so just ff through it. Hope this much helps.
