Amor Bravío #126 (Uni 121) Wed 2/13/13 "Life Lost and Luzma Laments and an Albarran Adversary Arrives with Abundant Amenazas"

Hello friends and lurkers in Viewerville who await an update on tonight's capitulo.  I had an early Valentines Day Dinner with Mr Mena tonight and my alarm will sound in the wee hours of la manana for a conference call with folks from west to east coast. Sooo, I will be posting a little later than usual.  So while you are waiting, please discuss the fine points of telenovela psychology, law, medicine and religious life among yourselves.

Back again for Part 1.  Allow me to fill in with Part 1 of our action packed capitulo. Pardon any goof-ups as this is a quick and dirty recap.

Maternity Clinic del Pueblo:   An anguished Luzma lies on the gurney and begs the good doctor to save her bebe.  She doesn’t want it to die.  New Girl is holding her hand and the doctor moves closer to Luzma.  It seems the baby’s heart has stopped beating (dejar de latir) and that the baby has died.  He assures Luzma that it is no one’s fault and Luzma insists – to herself, it seems – that she did not cause this.    She cries for Pablo and for her mother.  Luzma explains where they are respectively, and New Girl says she will find them for her.   Doc explains to Luzma that he will talk to the surgeon – it would seem that she/he will need to remove the fetus (for the life of me I did not catch the medical Spanish).   This causes further anguish in Luzma who sobs and asks for forgiveness from the Higher Up because she and Pablo did not want the baby which suggests in Luzma’s mind that this may have contributed to this sad event.

Kitchen of LaMQ:  Piedad is cooking and Hipolito is sitting at the kitchen table admiring her.  She asks him why he is looking at her like that and he says because she is pretty.  Piedad playfully scolds him asking him why he says these things.  Hipo tells her that he carries something inside (touching his hand to his heart) and wants to tell her.  He says that now that Luzma has left the ranch and is making her own family so he is ready  to ask Piedad to marry him.  Piedad nearly chokes on her mole hearing this and says getting married is quite a step away from being novios and dating.  Not to worry, says Hipo thinking on his feet, will you be my novia?  Dorotea who has been standing at the door behind him listening breaks into a cheer nearly giving Hipo the second stroke of this TN.   Dorotea cheers and chats about having a wedding together.

Maternity Clinic del Pueblo:  Back at clinic, New Girl is on the phone at the hospital in Metepec asking for Pablo.   Camila hears the loudspeaker in the hospital and takes the call on Pablo’s behalf.  New Girl sputters who she is and that she is looking for Pablo and, and, and…. (she is an hysterical mess)… she adds that Luzma has lost her baby.  Pablo has now arrived at the hospital phone and asks what is going on.  Camila gives him the straight scoop about Luzma and informs him that the pair of them need to get to the maternity ward stat!  The pair run off and leave Mariano and Ana to hold vigil  at hospital waiting room numero uno.

Church Gardens:  Viv and the good Padre stroll the church gardens together and Viv asks if it is easy for someone like Roman to be adopted.  Padre explains that in Mexico, adopted kids have the same rights as bio kids and so people take infants more readily because the adoption is less complicated.  Infants have simpler needs and therefore adapt more easily than an older child.  An older child may need more patience because they are “mas hechos”.  Viv asks Padre if he remembers that she cannot have kids.  She adds that she feels that Roman is her destiny since she has come to know him.  She is thinking of adopting him.  Padre is excited at the prospect and Viv adds she hasn’t spoken with Rafa  about it yet.  Padre says he believes that if they were to adopt Roman he would be so happy as he, in turn, has become very fond of Viv.   Padre adds that if they give him love, he will grow up to be a great young man.

Fields in the Self-Sustaining Community Garden:  Aaron chops and digs while Rafa sits and talks.  Aaron is happy that all is well between Rafa and Viv like “wind to the stern” (viento en popa).  Aaron wonders if this means they could get married.  After getting Rafa to help him dig, finally, Aaron asks about Rafa wanting kids and if he has considered Viv not being able to have them.  Rafa acknowledges this but says he will not leave Viv over this.

Wild Car Ride to the Clinic: Pablo and Camila rip through the streets of el pueblo and after a near car crash she tells him to drive right or else she will take over.  Pueblo people must stay clear of the streets when the Albarran boys are driving around!

Kitchen of La MQ: Piedad and Hipo clean the kitchen together … (no red flags there Piedad) and Dorotea chats about whether Piedad has considered what Hipo asked.  Agustina bustles in and tells Piedad and Hipo to prepare the truck to go to the maternityclinic in Aculco.  She gives Piedad the grim news that Luzma has lost her baby.  They leave and Dorotea and Agustina tiptoe around the possibility that the miscarriage might be for the better.

Hospital Waiting Room Numero Uno:  Cayetano and Mariano stroll and discuss the news that Luzma lost her baby and other family business.  Nevertheless, Cayetano is still leaving for vacation.  Que?  Mariano cannot believe that Cayetano would leave town with Rocio having suffered a stroke and the doctor telling them that she needed ALL their support.  Cayetanto waves it off and says she has all of  the rest of the family to take care of her.  Mariano diverts and tries to knock some sense into Knucklehead Cayetonto regarding Isa.  Mariano reports the conversation where Isa was saying that she wasn’t just satisfied to own La MQ, but was angling for La BV too.  No surprise for viewerville that this falls on deaf ears.  Cayetano tells Mariano not to treat him as if he were an idiot, so there!

El Hostal:  Dan shows up and immediately Nat knows that he knows all about her being pregnant (NOTE to Nat:  TN corollary to required eavesdropping and metiche mouths:  Everybody knows anything that should be a secret and nothing about what should NOT be kept secret.).  He tells her that he is there to help and tells her that it is better to have no father than a father that is a bad example.  Nat can “cuentas conmigo” he says.

Maternity Clinic del Pueblo:  Pablo arrives and Luzma cries that she lost the baby.  She feels guilty about this even though she did not want the baby.  Pablo consoles her saying that even though he cannot replace the baby, that soon they will have their own baby.  Pablo goes to sign his new house and future inheritance away some  hospital papers.  Luzma is afraid of the surgery but manages her manners and thanks New Girl for having helped her.  Camila consoles her and tells her they will be there with her.

Hospital Waiting Room Numero Uno: Cayetonto gets ready to leave and will take darling Ana and Refugio back to La BV.  Mariano says goodbye to Ana and tells Refugio they will be counting on her although he admits Rocio has not treated her well lately.  Refugio tells him not to worry because she isn’t a spiteful (rencorosa) person.  Teresa arrives at the hospital to stalk accompany Mariano in his time of need.  She greets Cayetonto and says “long time no see”.  Yup he says, as his eyes light up and he adds “estas muy guapa!”   (Note to Cayetonto:  Stick your tongue back in your mouth; you have more than enough on your plate Big Daddy!).  Teresa greets Ana and receives a frosty hello in response.  Teresa asks about Rocio and offers to stay with Mariano allll the time that is needed.

Maternity Clinic del Pueblo: Pablo and Camila are waiting outside and they thank New Girl for all she did to help Luzma.  Pablo tells Camila that New Girl is the one who was being considered to work at La MQ.  Camila studies her and says after all New Girl has done for Luzma, she deserves to work at La MQ.  She offers her a job and New Girl replies “claro que si!”

Casa de Albarran:   Yucky Yago is at home alone after knocking back some shots.  Ding, dong! The doorbell sounds and he goes to answer.   Bam!  In bursts Dio with a “buenas noches jovencito!”.   He grabs Yago by the collar and asks him if he thought he would make a mockery of his daughter, Nat after what he did to her.  Yago says he did nothing!   Dio says conceiving (engendrar) a child is not "nothing"!  Yucky Yago is too stupid to keep his mouth shut and swears that Nat is lying.  Dio tells his to shut up with his stupidity - coward!   Dio tells him this is how it is going to be – an offer Yago cannot refuse.   Dio tells him that Yago is going to tell Nat, and convince her that he is very sorry and that he loves her profoundly and that he was afraid of being a father- or to invent whatever.  Dio adds that Yago must convince Nat that he is going to marry her and make her happy!  Yucky Yago isn't going to capitulate to Dio and hollers back that this plan is crazy and that he does not love Nat and won’t recognize this brat she is going to have.    Gulp!  Dio grabs Yago by the collar again and tells him that Yago will do this whether he wants to or not or his days will be numbered.  Dio says he doesn’t make false threats!  Yago says Dio has no right to make him do this (Yago:  Dio has a right – and a left, hook that is!) and Dio replies that he has every right and that Yago may have thought she was alone, but she is not!  Yago spits back at Dio that he can’t make him do this, that Yago is no dumb cowboy – he is an Albertan (Yago:  An Albertan will bite the dust just as hard and fast as a dumb cowboy!)  Dio tells Yago that he has no idea who is Dio Ferrero and that it is better to know Dio in “las buenas”!  Yago sneers some more and tries to straighten his velvet jacket.   DUH DUH DUMMMB!

Part 2

After taking a “Go Dio!” break for the first time in the history of this TN, viewerville rearranges our collective couch pillows and continue to Part 2.

Casa de LaBV:   Back at the slap down between Dio and Yago, Dio slips his phone number into Yago’s velvet pocket and says Dio better get a call from Yago saying he called Nat to tell her all of the crap that Dio told him to tell her.  He lets go of Yago’s velvet lapels and starts to leave.  Yago sneers that Dio is wasting his time… (Oh My!) Dio repeats the command that Yago call him to report that he has called Nat – oh, and regarding the wedding and the honeymoon, Dio tells him no worries, ” I will take care of that!”

Maternity Clinic of El Pueblo:  Camila, New Girl, Piedad, Hipo and Pablo wait for news on Luzma and the surgery.  Piedad prays and Pablo is sorry that he left Luzma alone.  Doc emerges from behind the swinging metal doors to tell everyone that the procedure (legrado - I think but am not sure)  was a success (logrado - I think but am not sure here either) and there are no mishaps (contratiempo) but because Luzma lost a lot of blood, she will have to stay overnight at the hospital.  Pablo goes to see her and New Girl observes aloud that Pablo adores his wife Luzma.

Casa de LaBV:  Still not completed with the slap down, Dio has told Yago that he only cares that Yago tell Nat that he loves her and that Nat believe he loves her.   That is, if Yucky Yago wants to keep breathing!   Cayetano, Refugio and Darling Ana return from the hospital numero uno.  “QTH?” asks Cayetano, as he wonders what Dio is doing at the house. Dio replies that he has come to have Yago respond to Natalia. Cayetano  turns and tells Refugio to take Ana out of the room.  He asks Dio what he has to do with this matter and Dio informs him that Nat is his daughter and is expecting Yago’s baby.  Dio doesn’t want to see Yago wash his hands of the situation. Cayetano agrees.  Yago stomps his foot and says that no one can tell him what to do with his life.  Dio asks Yago if he needs to repeat himself?  Yago stomps off and Dio tells Cayetano to let Yago go and that the Yago with a very rumpled velvet jacket knows what Dio expects of him.  Cayetano assures Dio that if the child is an Albarran, he will recognize it and give it the Albarran apellido.  Dio says he doesn’t care about the name, but that Yago take care of his responsibilities like a “little man” (hombrecito – kind of a dismissive term).  Dum, dum. Dumbbbb!

Elsewhere in La Casa LaBV:  Yago has retreated and is feeling very sorry for himself.  The house servant asks him if he wants something to eat and he kicks her out.  Ana and Refugio come to pay him a visit and Ana asks him why he doesn’t want his child.  Yago tells her to stay out of the situation, but Ana adds that she would feel terrible if her dad didn’t want her.  Yago says the baby isn’t his and Ana says she wishes it were because then she would have a cousin because Luzma has lost her baby.  Yago looks surprised but says that it was a good thing she lost the baby.  Refugio tells him not to say that but Yago insists he is Mr Courage who says what he thinks even though others won’t.  Refugio tells Yago that this is not the only bad news.  She tells him that his mother is in the hospital having suffered an ischemic brain event (isquemia cerebral).   Refugio asks if she can give him advice… She tells him not to turn his back on his mother  or his child.  If that isn’t enough for Yago, Cayetano comes in to scold him more about being irresponsible and tells Yago that he smells like he has been drinking!  He tells Yago to take care of this or he will be peso-less.  Yago protests and Cayetano tells Yago he can do whatever he wants to (como me venga la gana) with his pesos.  Cayetano tells Pablo to prove the baby isn’t his or accept the responsibility with Dio’s daughter.

Hospital Waiting Room Numero Uno:  Mariano and Teresa stroll through the hospital chatting about the very bad day.  Teresa says the hospital must remind him of his days with Ana Maria and he agrees.  She tells him that it would be good for him to get out and invites him to dinner and to take him home.  Just as she invites him to dinner the phone rings.  It is Camila and the pair of them agree to meet at the maternity clinic.  He hangs up and apologizes that he has to go to the clinic because, by the way, today Luzma lost the baby.   Teresa stalks  wants to accompany him to the next waiting room. Sorry, Mariano tells her, this is just a family matter.  Teresa asks about Camila.  Mariano says Camila is family.   Teresa is not pleased!

Stairway of La MQ:  Agustina and Miriam pass one another on the stairs and Agustina inquires how Miriam’s doctor visit went.  Miriam tells her fine.  Agustina says this is good news because now Miriam and Dan can go back to Chile and the Hotel La MQ can revert to the happy family manor that it once was.  Miriam apologizes for being a bother.

Dio’s Car:  Dio hollers into the phone at Isa that Yago is a stupid entitled guy – an imbecile.  Well duh?!  Isa needles him that she didn’t know Dio had feelings about his dishonored daughter (deshonrada).  Dio grouses about needing to control the situation and that he wants to keep Amanda and Nat from investigating his past.   He continues to yell that Nat doesn’t need Yago, that she has Dio to give her all the luxuries she wants.  Isa wonders if Amanda and Nat kept from telling Dio this on purpose to keep this reaction from occurring.  Dio complains he is angry about the situation but that he is going to be the kindest and most understanding father anywhere.  Isa needles him again about getting dangerously close to admitting fatherly love.  Dio yells about how he is entitled to feel this way after being apart from her for so long.  Dio needles Isa back that she doesn’t understand because she doesn’t have anyone that carries her blood!  Isa suggests that Dio try to win Yago over with money, not threats.  Dio responds that he doesn’t need to do that, for now.

Dining Room Table at La MQ:  The happy visitors are preparing to sit and dine.  They are simply famished! Dan asks if Camila is planning on joining them.  Dorotea explains that Camila is at the hospital because Luzma lost her baby today.   WTQ? ! Dan wants to know why no one told him.  He insists he needs to go there and attend to Luzma.  Miriam is surprised he doesn’t eat with them first.  Nope, Danny-On-The-Spot straightens his charro tie and rides out into the sunset.  Meanwhile Miriam wonders aloud about how Dan is very  different than when they were in Chile together.  He was always attentive – but now, in Mexico he is different.   She adds that when he is with her, he is not really with her …. Something is not right.  Meanwhile, alarmed Abe glances at Dante.   Dante starts to talk about the great food in Mexico and all of Dan’s new responsibilities that may cause him to be distracted.    Miriam pays no attention to their attempts at diversion.  She adds, “If it isn’t Luzma, it's Camila.  Dan is not the same, there is something?!” ........

Maternity Ward del Pueblo:  Mariano arrives, greets all and thanks New Girl for helping Luzma.  Camila informs Mariano that New Girl will be working at La MQ.  After the long day at the maternity clinic in four inch shoes, New Girl expresses the need to excuse herself and go home to put on her sweats and chanclas.  Camila and Mariano go round and round about dining in town and swapping cars and rides home.  They land on a plan to eat in town and ride home together.

Casa de LaBV:  Refugio thought bubbles her memory of Dio and Isa in the hallway canoodling.  She recollects that Dio is Agustina’s spouse and Isa is Cayetonto’s new “friend”.  Something is “a miss with the missus” here, she figures.

Driveway of La MQ:  Dan walks to the car and thought bubbles his problem “with his wives”.  He cares about Miriam and doesn’t want to hurt her. He loves Camila and doesn’t want to lose her.  What to do?!  What to do?!

Avances:  Dan confronts Mariano.  Dan quarrels with Camila.  Dan mixes it up with Miriam.  Dan is going to have a bad capitulo.

Yours, in telenovela love and affection on this Valentines Day, Mena

No te preocupes; we'll start up fine.

El Diablo was both amusing and scary at the same time last night. I'm not sure how he really feels about Natalia in general but he was in full papa-bear mode on Iago, which that patan absolutely deserved.

But Natalia deserves better than to be married to that jerkwad.

The irony of the situation is that El Diablo is married to a woman he doesn't love or respect for a couple of nasty ulterior motives. He's looking to put Iago in the same position, which will make his bad treatment of Natalia escalate.

Natalia is better-educated than Augustina and until she got mixed up with Iago she showed evidence of greater intelligence. Is the degradation of that intelligence what this man wants for his daughter or is he just completely without a clue here?

And Hissadora is very mistaken about Iago because it isn't just about dinero; it's about recognition. Iago wants to be the Golden Child, but this is not possible. There is too much history to overcome for that even if he wasn't some part of that problem before the current situation. Not to mention that he has Hissadora as an adversary who will use his current jerkwad behavior to her own advantage.

Amanda will not be pleased that El Diablo got involved in this, especially now that she got Natalia to accept a future without Iago.

I can't wait for Refugio's next conversation with Mariano.

Thank you, Mena. Have a good day and no worries -- you hit the main points already.

We sure are having a ton of novela medicine right now. Luzma, thank goodness, seems to have survived the baby's death. We have Rocio recovering from the stroke. And we are awaiting results on Miriam's tests. She's looking very well, by the way.

I have to agree with Camila -- it sure would be easier if she could forget Daniel and get absorbed into the Albarran clan where they need her compassion and level head. But, as our novelas remind us, the heart commands. Mariano hasn't received the memo, however, as he moves decisively to make his claim on Camila: I loved the way he shifted Teresa's plan to Camila, suggesting that they move on from the hospital issues for a few moments and eat dinner!

It's all been said about Agustina, but really, throwing out Daniel's guests in his house????

Happy Valentine's Day!

Mena- How wonderful that you and Mr. Mena had a nice celebration. Thanks for thinking of us and getting the conversation started. I look forward to one of your fabulous recaps later.

I loved your take on the advances. Indeed, it looks like Dan is going to have a very bad capitulo tonight.

Hipolito made an appearance in Eva last night, as a possible romantic interest for the mother of the heroine. Que padre!

I loved seeing Yago quake in his expensive shoes, but I hate that this may set Natalia back if she falls for his "change of heart", after it took her so long to accept reality.

I had a chuckle at the look on Teresa's face when Mariano ignored/turned down her offer of dinner, and practically ran out of the Metepec hospital to go meet Camila in the clinic in Aculco.

However, the truth about Dan's current priorities slowly hitting Miriam, in the scene when Dan literally ran out of the hacienda to go meet up with Camila and Luzma in the clinic, was painful to watch. Especially because Dante and Abe were basically trying to deflect her feelings and distract her from the truth. Not cool guys.

I had to ask what the heck Dan wass thinking when he asked Dorotea why Camila wasn't having/couldn't have dinner with them if she was in her cabin. The same as when he wanted her to drive back to the hacienda from the hospital with him, Miriam and Abe (that would have meant Cami in the back seat and Mir in the front with Dan). Uhm, hello! Cam can barely keep herself from screaming or crying when she's in Miriam's presence for a few minutes, and he thinks she's going to be able to hold it together watching Miriam paw and fawn all over him for a long ride or through a whole meal? Sorry dude. Not going to happen.

What a satisfying episode! I missed the details on the conversation, so that will also be satisfying later today. It was not hard to catch the phrases alluding to continued breathing from Dio and continuing pesos from Daddy. I just hope Nat turns Yago down when he comes crawling to her to save his skin and his pesos. Let him sweat.

Now that I've had my first tea of the day I have to say that Gussie's "I'm sorry, Miriam, this house has always been just for the family, but almost nobody's a family member now." statement is not only absurd, it's all levels of rude. Noplace that big isn't designed to entertain guests for extended visits.

Not to mention, why is Camila living in the cabana rather than the hacienda? Wouldn't that look odd to Miriam as well?

I didn't like the way Isa pointed out that with Yago out of the way and distracted by his Natalia issues, she'll only have one rival to take care of-- Mariano. Uh oh! Watch out Mariano.

Mariano needs to get that house ready and move into it ASAP. He needs to protect his daughter.

El Diablo's distraction with Natalia is interesting. Hissadora seems to see his connexion to her as weakness on his part. This could be the beginning of the end of their collaboration.

Mena thanks for starting our thread and enjoy your time w/Mr. Mena.

Happy that the previews from yesterday were concern about the loss of the baby and not our Luzma. Though I hate what she is going through.

UA - (from yesterday) ITA that NG still seems to be too fond of Pablo. She seems like a very nice person but I wouldn't be surprised to see her go for Pablo as poor Luzma probably goes into a depression.

Glad to see Dio treat Iago that same way the latter treats others. But I do hope Nat doesn't fall for him. As UA pointed out, if she were to marry Yucko their marriage would be like Dio/Gussy; I wouldn't wish that on an enemy let alone Nat.

TL - According to the doctor, Miriam needs rest and is waiting for the results of two more tests that would be anvils in the making.

Vivi - Good point about Isa's new target, Mariano. Though he is annoying me to no end, he doesn't deserve our femme psycho's attention.

Thanks Mena & enjoy your time with Mr. Mena

It hurts me to see Teresa wasting her time with Mariano; she’s too smart and too spunky to be dissed that way.

All of Dio’s fatherly concerns would look magnanimous if only he was genuine. This is his way to put the screws on poor Amanda.

Poor LuzMa! New Girl doesn’t bother me; Pablo only has eyes for LuzMa – I have faith in Martha.

Augustonta couldn’t shake Cam & Dan for Dan to move out; she moves straight to be rude and make Miriam feel that she’s not welcome. Her karma can’t come fast enough.

Miriam –I would have bought her introspective concerns only if you weren’t still living in the clouds. Abe and Dante attempting to deflect the situation –grow a pair and tell her the truth either way she’ll be hurt.

Dan, Dan--my man, no matter what you do you have me until the end.

Cam – I feel for you and understand the need not to be around LMQ to see Dan being miserable with his happy family with Miriam dripping all over him; but spending the entire day with Mariano and not have the courtesy to call Dan about LuzMa. NOT COOL!!!

Myo-

My thoughts on Dion's reaction to Nat's pregnancy and his confrontation with Yago is that he doesn't want to be embarrassed by his daughter being an unwed mother. Yet again it will be all about him. If Natalia decides to not marry Yago if he makes an offer, then Dion's reaction will tell Natalia all she needs to know about her father's 'love' for her.

Whether El Diablo has developed any fatherly feeling for Nat is still unknown in my book. I think there's a chance and it could be something that the Black Widow uses against him in the future. If there is one rule this series is unlikely to deviate from it's the one that dictates that the villains turn on each other before the end.

No doubt that El Diablo won't like the idea of Nat being an unwed mother, but he has to know that there are lots of them in 2013. Doesn't make it a good idea, but there is no real social stigma anymore.

The other thing is that we don't know his backstory. Was he the child of an unwed mother? I hope we find out. He made a leading statement about not wanting Amanda to check into his background, which tells us that Osvaldo will probably do just that.

I hope we don't have to wait too much longer to hear Miriam's other two test results.

The surgery that Luzma had to remove the dead baby can have complications, so it wasn't automatic that she would make it through alive. I dread seeing possible post-miscarriage depression. That stuff is very real.

Everyone at LMQ knows that Luzma is like Dan's little sister, so for no one to tell him seems unfair. I understand that Mariano is Luzma's BIL, connected to her through Pablo. But I agree with Myo. Camila calling Mariano, and not calling Dan too, by commission orb omission, was just plain cruel. Did she suddenly forget how much Dan cares about Luzma? Did she think that Mariano was the only one who deserved to know? I agree with Myo.. not cool Cam!

Quick notes:

Don't think Rafa is going to be onboard with adopting Roman.
Don't see any chemistry between Mariano and Teresa.
Agree not cool of Cam not to call Dan about our Luz.

Thanks, Mena! Enjoy your day, and Happy Valentine's to all!

I'm with Cam on this one. She's the one who has to keep up a good front while Daniel, imo the coward, goes around trying to figure out what he's going to do and when he's going to do it. I can see why Cam would not in any way contact him unless it was a dire situation.

And forgot to add, why would she be inclined to call Dan when she knows Mariano will be there for Pablo and Luzma? She was probably thinking there would be another scene entre los hombres.

Finally, Refugio remembering about the time she saw Dion and Isa in a hug at the hotel. I hope she tells all.

True. The last thing she needs is for Dan to go Neanderthal because of the jealousy. He needs to keep a cool head until they can oust the devil.

This is all about Dionicio. No rich imbecile is going to make a fool out of him & his daughter.

Miriam is probably wondering why she ever left Chile & she doesn't know 90% of it. rape, several murders, tougueptomy, fraud, theft, violation of all the 10 commandments.

Imbecile is right, and I mean that in the Mexican spirit of that word. You'd think a guy like that would know better. I mean, if Alejandro Fernandez gets a vasectomy, someone like Iago should at least use protection.

BTW, does anyone think that he ever congressed with Nat in an actual bed? I don't believe so.

Marta and UA, I agree about not needing Dan to go ballistic, but technically Dan is closer to Luz than Mariano. Dan and Luzma adopted each other as brother and sister. Luzma's loss of the baby and the subsequent surgery both constitute dire situations. Luzma could have died. Surviving that kind of surgery isn't automatic.

Anticipating an ensuing confrontation or not, she should have called Dan. She could have easily said to him:

"Mariano will be here too, afterall he is Luzma's BIL. So when it comes to Luzma and Pablo, we are all connected. We all love them, so let's focus all of our attention on them. Are you coming? Ok. When you get here, let's fully concentrate on prayers for Luz and support for Pablo. No confrontations.Ok? Ok. Pray for Luzma. We'll ... all of us ... will see you when you arrive."

I realize that there is not much of a Yago fan club here, but he impressed me just a bit by the way he more or less stood up to Dionysio last night. He actually seemed more alarmed at the thought of Cayetano cutting him off that by the treat of Dio actually offing him.

So far I only have positive feelings for New Girl...she really stepped up last night.

Carlos

Carlos, I like New Girl too, and she's really cute. I don't see her as a threat to Luzma.

Carlos, I like the way Yago stood up to Dio as well. Not many have done that and survived.

netgirl- (Not to be confused with New Girl) I like your script for what Cam should have said had she called Dan. Of course tonight we just have more fuel for the fire in what looks to be a heated argument between Cam and Dan. He'll not only be ticked off that she spent the whole day with Mariano (not really, because much of the time he was dealing with family stuff and she was really hanging out with the whole family), but also ticked that she left him out of the loop about Luzma. I see a breakup coming, and it may have nothing to do with either of them feeling guilty about Miriam, but about them being ticked off at each other.

Carlos- New Girl/Mayalen did step up last night, although a bit ditzily. Now I just need her to stop looking at Pablo with moon eyes.

Question: Did NG get hired by Cam just before she left the hospital?

I understand Cam not wanting any scenes with Dan and Mariano at the hospital. But she should have told him---using Netgirl's dialogue or something very like.

Nanette- Yes, Mayalen got hired officially by Cam. The other day Nat finally confirmed to Pablo that (although she now knows the Daddy-Dio secret was the reason Cam and Dan didn't want her at MQ) she has no intention of coming back to her old job. Pablo has mentioned in passing a few times that they need to hire someone, and Mayalen was their choice to replace Nat before the whole Isadora takeover fiasco. But I think everyone has been too distracted by all the other drama that has happened since to actually offer the job to Mayalen officially. Camila made it official last night and as of tomorrow, New Girl will be at MQ. Yet one more new face at MQ! What will Gussy have to say about that? :) I guess nothing, since she won't be sleeping there and isn't Chilean. ;-)

We never discussed yesterday how snippy Gussy got at the mention of Agatha when Miriam mentioned Gussy's abuela-like attentions to Baby Agatha and then asked Gussy if she and Agatha had been friends. She really needs to get over it already.

Happy Valentine's day to all. I just read through all the comments and it seems I am the only one who does not think that Cami owed Dan a call about Luzma.
Dan's dedication to protecting Miriam by physically being there for her, no matter how well meant, has consequences. Cami has already gone above and beyond for him by going along with his needing to "protect Miriam". During this time that he is confused, it is not up to Cami to keep him in the loop of what's happening with his "other family". Besides, if Cami had called him, Miriam might have had a setback if Dan showed any emotion or appeared overly concerned.
So, Dan not being kept 100% in the loop by Cami is part of the consequences that he has to accept.

In regard to Dionisio's fight on behalf of Natalia -- My sense is that Dionisio doesn't know what love is, but recognizes that a blood relationship creates obligations and evokes in him some kind of strong emotion toward Natalia. More importantly, as he said last night, he doesn't like the disrespect that Iago is showing Natalia and therefore to Dio. It's a matter of pride and control, with economic issues lurking there as well, IMHO.

Then I guess you didn't read my comment, Foxy:) I totally agree that Camila has gone above and beyond and was wise not to call Dan re: Luzma. I believe UA also agreed that it could have provoked an unpleasant scene.

I'm in the camp that thinks Dio really does care for Natalia, several epis ago we saw Dio looking at a picture of baby Nat and wondering where she was. I mean sure, dude is evil but evil people can still show some affection, right?

Foxy- I don't really feel strongly about it one way or another. I can see both sides.

I’m the odd man out re.: Cam –she and Dan have an agreement—he’s staying put at LMQ with his family until he gets confirmation from the docs that Miriam is healthy so that he can discuss his current situation with her and in return he promised not to sex Miriam up and cut off all intimacies with Cam. Dan has been going above and beyond to uphold his end of the bargain thus far; if Cam is not happy with this arrangement then she has every right to speak out, give Dan his walking papers and let him figure out his next move.

I’m staying by my original statement—it’s unfair to pressure Dan to reveal to his wife that things are very different than she believes them to be without him having the certainty that she can withstanding the shock. For us viewers, we know that Miriam is probably healthier than both Cam & Dan, but in the context of AB; Dan’s view of her health is a concern.

Cam has every right not wanting to spend her day at LMQ while Miriam is there; she has every right to friend who ever she pleases and spends time with them. If the current situation proves to be more difficult than she anticipated, then she should break off the original arrangement and send Dan packing back to Chile with his family. Right now, what I don’t appreciate from her is wanting Dan to remain at LMQ and at the same time showing him no support and respect.

Myo-

Renata/Myo- Other than not calling Dan to let him know about Luzma, how else is Cami not showing him support or respect?

I like how you laid out their bargain-- he and fam get to stay as he figures out when he can break the truth to Miriam; while he avoids sex with Miriam; and while Dan and Cam keep their distance (physically and emotionally) so as not to create more emotional turmoil (for Camila mainly).

To me, Cami avoiding the hacienda, avoiding family meals, avoiding riding in the same car, and avoiding calling Dan are all part of that last part of the bargain, at least in Cami's mind.

Mena – Terrific title. Thanks for giving us the fine points.

I have no problem with Cam not calling Dan about Luzma. The most important person that needed to be there was Pablo, then Piedad and Camila. Also, it would've been good to get the padre (but maybe I drifted off and missed him). After that, Dan finding out whenever is fine by me. Cam is going through a lot and Dan's outbursts with Mariano don't help. I don't think she's willfully trying to spite Dan - she's just damn tired of the whole Dan-Miriam thing and there was a lot of hospital business that day.

I agree with those who say Dio has some feelings for Nat but is largely acting out of his own pride, and not thinking about what’s best for her.

Vivi: re: Gussie getting over the Agatha thing. I had a high school friend who broke up with her boyfriend who later dated another mutual friend (we all lived in the same little housing development). Fast forward 25+ years. I was visiting several years ago and found out they still weren't talking. And probably still aren't. I'm with you on the get over it already.

I believe that If Cam and Dan were not in the position they're now in, she would have called him regarding Luz right after she called Piedad. I don't think she didn't out of spite, though. It's just an uncomfortable situation.

It's time Miriam knows the truth. This keeping things from her is, actually, getting kind of ridiculous.

I hope they don't drag out telling Miriam the truth any longer. And I think Abe should be there with Dan when it happens and Abe should start with the story as it happened from the beginning.

Marta in NY: Oops, you are so right about pointing out the other comments about Cami not owing it to Dan to keep him updated. It's funny how after reading all the comments I only recalled remembered the ones that were different from my viewpoint.
(Kinda reminds me of the anon who on last nights comments said that the only way you can have a difference of opinion is to be anonymous. Several commenters immediately nipped that in the bud by pointing out how it just wasn't so :-)

No problema, Foxy:) Just wanted you to know you weren't alone....and we gotten a few more recruits...ha.ha.

I completely agree that Abe and Dan must share the responsibility of the disclosure to Miriam. However, I think -- in true TN tradition -- Miriam will overhear something before they can make that happen.

Nanette- Ay yay yay! 25 years later! A few years ago, I went to the wedding of my ex (we dated for 5 years and lived together for 2 of those). We are still really close friends and I now count his wife among my friends too. I half joke with him about being ticked that he found someone to marry while I have yet to, but that doesn't affect the way I feel about him or his wife. I have to admit that most people think I'm weird this way. I just don't see the point in creating drama around something that doesn't warrant it. Life goes on.

I guess I’m not bugged by Cami not calling Dan because it wasn’t done out of spite, and some of you have pointed out. Now, had Piedad said to Camila, “Shouldn’t we call Dan?”, and Camila had flat out refused, then I might be upset at her.

Yes, that's the way I think it will go with Miriam finding out, the usual TN way. Yet, seriously, how is it possible that she won't catch on before they get a chance to tell her? The entire community knows about it, and every member or guest of that household knows about it except for her and her nurse (who's already catching the drift.)

Totally agree that Abe and Dan should tell Miriam together. I wouldn't trust Abe to spin the truth if Dan were not there for his version.

Vivi: I couldn't believe it either. The second friend and I were talking at a strawberry festival we have in our small town and my other friend (the original girlfriend) didn't say a word. When she told me later that they didn't speak to each other, I was flabbergasted. Here we are in our forties (at that time) and they were still carrying a grudge from high school.

Here's hoping the avances from last night re: Miriam seeing Cam and Dan together, will end this charade once and for all. I'm saying this because I think the writers are expecting us to swallow a little too much. A "secret" known to everybody can not be kept covered up or glossed over for long.

There's so MUCH for Miriam to find out though. Which part will she overhear?

She's already figured out that Dan seems to REALLY care for/is preoccupied with the folks at MQ, especially Luzma and Camila. She said this last night. That's not much of a leap to figuring out that what he feels for Camila goes beyond just caring about her.

But the full list of what she needs to find out includes:
1) Abe threw Dan in jail and threw away the key for her attempted murder a day after she was shot.
2) Abe lied to Dan about her being dead soon after that.
3) Dan escaped from prison and came to Mexico many MONTHS ago.
4) The attempt on her life had to do with Dan's inheritance, and she is currently living with the man who nearly had her and her baby killed (Dio).
5) Since coming to Mexico, Dan has been involved in an elaborate and dangerous game of intrigue to protect and defend himself, Camila, and the people at MQ from Dio, Isa and their minions (Leo, Bruno, Al, Xi, Julian-- all mostly dead now).
6) During the course of all of this, Dan and Cam fell in love and got married.

Surely, she won't be able to learn ALL of that from eavesdropping on one conversation. It would only be a piece of the truth, but which piece?

Vivi, like your list. But I think that Dan told Miriam already that the guy who shot her was after Dan because of his inheritance.

Vivi: I would like to see the secret of Cam and Dan's involvement be revealed to her. But then you'd have to reveal he'd been in Mexico for months. And then you would have to reveal why he wasn't at her bedside while she was in a coma. And then you'd have to reveal . . .

I see what you mean.

Cathy- He actually didn't tell her. He told Abe.

Heh, at my 20th HS reunion people were mad at each other for HS fights & intrigues. *shrug*

I vote Augustina as being the one who spills the tea for Miriam.

Augustina's anger & spite is growing with each episode. Her fall will be long & hard.

Did anyone notice when Refugio and Ana were talking to Yago, they were dressed the same? Pink top covered with a white sweater buttoned by only one button at the top. They looked so cute standing next to each other.

Cathyx- This might be what's causing you to think Dan has told Miriam more than he has. This is from Mena's recap last week:

"The story begins in “The Bedroom” at LaMQ where Dan has been explaining to Miriam the reason he inherited La MQ. Dan Sr and Agatha had an affair and eventually went their separate ways. Years later, after Agatha died Dan Sr discovered that Agatha had had a son and named him Dan. Dan Sr assumed that Dan was either their love child or would be a galan who could protect Camila from the ranch-grabbers. So he decided that he should leave Dan the ranch. However, Dan had an ADN (DNA) test and it turns out he was not a Monterde, but only the galan who could protect Camila."

In the comments, after I asked about it, Mena clarified that Dan didn't actually mention anything about protecting Cam from the ranch grabbers to Miriam. That was Mena's inner voice coming out. The only piece of the intrigue he shared, other than him being assumed Don Dan's son, is that Al married Cami "por interes" and that he and Xi weren't nice people. No more detail than that.

Cathyx- Miriam did ask Dan about the guy who shot her, after saying that she dreams about him from time to time. Dan told ehr not to worry about him anymore, and that he would tell her more later. he never did follow up and tell her Julian's fate. Bad Dan!

Vivi--Great list. Will add it to Operation Shine the Light as an update.

Also we have to add LuzMa and Rocio to those who have spent time in hospital.

Mena--Enjoy your special fiesta day and we'll take care of La Mal Querida for today. We promise to return it to you in good shape.

Cathyx- Cayetano was also wearing the same shade of pink shirt with a tan Members Only jacket over it that looked similar to the sweaters Refugio and Ana were wearing over their pink tops. Someone forgot to tell Mariano that it was Pink Day at Casa Albarran. :)

Happy Valentine’s Day to all! Mena, please don’t worry one bit about us. See how much fun we can have even with only your delightful little mini-recap.

I was glad to see that Aaron actually looked like he knew what he was doing with that pick axe. Usually on tv, if you see someone using a pick axe or chopping wood, they look like Isadora did with those knitting needles.

Good god, those Albarrans are hell on wheels. And that cute little NG. She bumbled her way through, but she isn’t really a go-to gal in a crisis, is she?

I have enjoyed every minute of the incredibly awkward dining room scenes at the MQ since Miriam and her entourage arrived. Squirm and dine. I hope we get more!

Vivi, I think when Dan offered Cam a ride back to the MQ and then asked Dorothea where she was, he only wanted to be sure she wasn’t hanging around Mariano. He is muy celos.

Variopinta, “violation of all the 10 commandments” LOL!

Cathyx, Refugio didn’t have to remember that she saw Isa and Dio; I don’t think she had ever met Dio. He hasn’t been to the BA before, has he? So I give her tons of credit for remembering what he looked like when she saw him at the hotel and then recognizing him when he paid his little social call on Yago. She’s a pretty sharp 80-something year old.

I thought that Yago’s reaction to Dio was due to ignorance and arrogance (ignarrogance?). He probably doesn’t realize that Dio can and will make good on his threats and so he wasn’t taking him seriously.

I am so hoping that Teresa has seen the light about her chances with Mariano. She still has time to hook up with someone else if she moves on now.

I believe that being an unwed mother still has quite a bit of stigma in middle and upper class families in Mexico. Perhaps it is less than it used to be and less in the lower classes, but it is still a pretty conservative Catholic country. At least, that was certainly my impression when I was living there a few years ago.

I think Cam avoiding Dan and MM is completely understandable. I can barely stand to watch MM’s constant pawing at him and her lisping clueless comments on tv, so it’s got to be rough on Cam. However, I do not see how this is facing problems together as Dan-n-Cam promised each other to do so again and again, back when it was just a theoretical prospect. And I do not see how it is likely to lead to a solution that will make Cam happy. If she continues down this passive course, she could very well lose Dan. If she would stand up for herself and fight for him, she would have a fighting chance.

I have said this before, but Dan (and Abe) have so much to tell Miriam, they need to start prepping her and doling out the beginning pieces, much more than what they have done so far. This is going to drag on for weeks, I fear.

It’s interesting how the communication and problem solving ability between Cam-n-Dan has broken down so quickly. It seems that maybe their amazing, everlasting, out-of-this-world amor wasn’t really that substantial to start with, hmm?

Ouch! Stop throwing things! I was only kidding.

Well, partly. :)

Vivi, I bow to your superior memory. I wish mine were as sharp. My daughter has a very good memory too, unfortunately for me.

Carolina: You crack me up.

Carolina, anyone would remember Dionicio because of that voice. Cesar Evora has one of the most distinctive voices I've ever heard on this earth.

Refugio needs to tell Mariano now. Of course, since Cayetonto is being deliberately deaf to any negative thing said about Hissadora my guess will be that he will be an inch away from death before she is caught red-handed.

I completely agree that it will be Augustina who spills to Miriam. With a lot of insults about Daniel to further pepper the pot.

Refugio needs to tell Agustina too. But like Cayetano, she wouldn't believe her either.

Carolina--good points, great laughs. It's too bad we can't use 'Squirm and dine' for our Collection of witty Wisdoms on AV.

It's more than likely that Refugio would have seen and/or heard Dio at the rancho. Remember, she's been over there--staying over (more guests, haha) taking care of Luzma. I can't believe she wouldn't have picked up something in the kitchen or even caught sight of him as they passed each other on the stairs. Even if we didn't actually SEE her seeing him, I bet she knew all about him and we just have to put on our beanies with built in horse-blinders and accept it on faith.

Who says Yago is a coward? He proved that he can be very brave when it comes to such important things as himself and his right to sleep with whoever he wants without protection. I don't think Dio really knew what to do with that. Should be an interesting dynamic.

Mariano=Maritanto. He is clearly his father's son.

Kelly

Kelly- I laugh every time one of the characters says Cayetano isn't tonto, an idiot, stupid, etc. He has said this about himself, as well as his sons and Rocio. And yet, he is proving them all wrong.

I would like to think that Rocio telling him that she saw Isa embracing Dio in front of her hotel room and going in would make him think, but I really don't think so. Mariano couldn't have made it more clear when he told Caye last night that Isa was overheard speaking to Dio about taking over La BV! He refuses to hear it, especially when it comes from a servant like Eleuterio. Well, Refugio is a servant too, so I don't think he'll give her much credit. Mariano (and Pablo) already knows that there's danger, so Refugio's info won't add much more to what he already knows.

I meant, Refugio telling him about Isa and Dio, not Rocio. You know who I meant. :)

Especially when Mariano was telling Caye about the overheard conversation, he gave Mariano a kind a smily smirk that said, 'you have no idea what you're talking about, Isadora is totally trustful'.
That smirk is what will make the reveal so much more enjoyable to watch.

Vivi, I apologize for not responding you sooner—busy with work—anyway… I might have over expressed the support and respect but the reason why I’m having a problem with Cam’s attitude is that she’s not fighting for what she wants; she claimed defeat before Dan ever expressed his feelings on the whole situation; she laments how much she loves him but she’s not with him physically and emotionally and supporting him during this crucial moment.

If she wants to break up then go ahead, but I feel like that she gave Dan hope; he’s working overtime to accomplish what they agreed on; but when he turns around he finds her embracing and spending her time with Mariano. Prior to the arrival of Miriam, those two use to spend their time together sharing everything and going everywhere together; and if they have to handle things separately, they’ll tell each other. Now, it’s only Dan doing all the sharing. Cam could have texted or leave a voice mail telling him that she’s accompanying a friend; why did he have to find out in the hospital? It is a very a painful situation for both Dan & Cam not just Cam—I don’t see Dan jumping up for joy having a grand old time that Miriam and his daughter are back in his life; in fact he’s been rather nasty to Miriam.

Myo-

Vivi--We need to add one more thing to your list, which undoubtedly will shock the heck out of Miriam: Dan now has dual citizenship-Mexican & Chilean. She's going to wonder why.

Good points Myo. I don't think either one of them is dealing with this well. But I don't really fault either of them. This is a tough and unusual situation.

Anita- Yes! That will be surprising to her too.

I kept thinking that if it was Luis that came from the dead; what the dynamics would be like?

It's only been 2 nights & 3 days since Miriam came to LMQ, but 10 long episodes in real life ...

Myo

Anita, good point about Refugio possibly crossing paths with Dio at the MQ. I had forgotten about that. However, we didn't see that happen and Refugio seemed to be just then putting things together, so who knows.

I think Refugio would be most likely to tell Mariano or possibly Pablo about what she saw and I do agree with everybody who said that at this point the info seems redundant and would likely be disregarded by Cayo just like everything else about Isa that people have tried to tell him. So why was this included if it isn't going to be significant? And what could the significance be?

Myo, what an interesting questions.

If Luis came back from the dead, no matter what his medical status, I don't think Dan would be sitting around wringing his hands and letting Camila spend her nights with him to work things out. Dan would probably have beat him to a pulp by now.

Yucko being so self-centered could result in his early demise. He absolutely has no fear of Dio and his threats. He looked surprised at the attack, but not scared. Cayetonto's threat scared him more, as someone mentioned. His arrogance and self-interest is blinding him to what Dio might do to him. And yes, it was funny when he yelled back at Dio, the look on his (Dio's) was like, "what? Don't you know I'm the devil?"

OT re Anons:
I first discovered this site by accident during the ultimos capitulos of La Que No Podia. I read, enjoyed and lurked for a long time. Continued to read the recaps sporadically through Un Refugio and commented a time or two. My comments were very few and far between and always under 'anonymous' but there was no specific reason for it. It was simply quicker to do so that way. The recaps for AB have kept me riveted and I find myself commenting more and more, so decided to do so under a name I just picked out of the air, as some regulars have suggested. Some of the anonymouses' (anonymice?) comments funny and insightful (some also inciteful) and others not so much, but enjoy reading everything. Anyway, that's been my experience.

Soyyo

Carolina, you're absolutely right, Dan will not sit idle and patient; he would be all up in his face telling him to leave his "mujer" alone. Just musing about the scenario cracks me up--especially with his Chilean accent ...

Myo-

Mena, Gracias. Your recap is fabulous. I think I like the asides the best.

Starting with: "(NOTE to Nat:  TN corollary to required eavesdropping and metiche mouths:  Everybody knows anything that should be a secret and nothing about what should NOT be kept secret.)"

and "(Note to Cayetonto:  Stick your tongue back in your mouth; you have more than enough on your plate Big Daddy!)."

Too funny. My brains are to rattled by all the plot possibilities to speculate on how it's going to go; I'm just going along for the ride, but I follow everybody's opinion with great interest. —AgnesNJ

Soyyo--Don't think you haven't been noticed. Keep those comments coming and soon you'll be a regular. Glad you are enjoying AB and the blog. Anonymice desrves a place in the Caray lexicon of interesting new words.

After someone referred me to Caray, I started lurking during Sortilegio & ENDA and then finally got up enough courage to say something on Mi Pecado & STuD and during CME's run ended up running the CME Emporium and doing a special on Dr. Alvaro Nesme. I helped Madelaine out with recapping El Tal and Refugio and taking a break.

It'll be a serious conflict for me to root for Yago against Dio, while knowing what a jerk he is. Anything and anybody to bring down Dio the sooner the better, no?

renata/Myo--Not just that, that cracks me up, it's Cayetano and Mariano conversing--father and son while Caye has his Mexican down pat, Mariano just can't give up his Argentine double ll's.

Uff!, Mena--didn't even notice the recap was up. Off to read it now.

Happy Valentine's Day - y Feliz Dia de San Valentin -!
PS: Absolutely Awe-Inspiring Alliteration in the Title.

Thanks Mena, I laughed when you called Cayetano 'Big Daddy".

Maybe Dion will sick his bulldogs on Yago like he did to Osvaldo. He's lucky they didn't kill Osvaldo with that stabbing. Yago may not be so lucky.

Soyyo- I'm also glad that you've started to comment more often too, and it's nice to be able to distinguish you from all the other Anonymice (love it!), and to be able to start to recognize your "voice."

Great Part 1 Mena! I cracked up at the same lines as Agnes mentioned. Can't wait for the rest.

Mena: Thanks. Well worth the wait. My fav line--so far: " Pueblo people must stay clear of the streets when the Albarran boys are driving around!"

I think Cam's a little naive when it comes to her friendships. She thinks she can be just friends with Mariano when he clearly wants more and Dan knows he clearly wants more. I know Mariano told her not to worry that he'd pursue her, but still. Besides, he really is pursuing her in a way.

I don't mind the Anons and their opinions, even when I don't agree with them. There are times I don't agree with AB regulars as I'm sure there are times they don't agree with me :) . It's just that the anonymices accuse those commenters who don't agree with them as being defensive, when they seem to be the ones who are defensive about it.

It's not the content of their comments that I find a little difficult. It's the tone.

OT: looks like from the ads that FC's new TN is going to be a comical one. Haven't watched a comical TN yet.

Mena--It's a GEM. Late to comment on all the turns of phrases, but others have.

Nanette: Too bad you weren't in on El Talisman. This is the Comedy of All Time that wasn't written as a comedy but the actors knew they had a lemon, er avocado, on their hands and played it as a comedy. It was great fun.

Anita: Actually I started El Talisman because I didn't want to take a TN break (was it after STuD or CME?) I lasted about a week maybe two.

The name for a D & C in espanol is legrado.

Por ella yo soy Eva is a comedy & very good, just a little too long. I'm glad it's almost over.

Nanette--Yes it was after CME. We were all pumped up for it to be at least half as good as Eva Luna, but alas, it was not to be. It was so bad it was good, "gooder" than TdA and that was spottily bad.

Great Part 2 Mena!
