Por ella soy Eva #153 2/25/13: Rebe As Unwitting Sexual Object?! Who Knew?
However, she can't think of a way to put off the wedding anymore - Adri wants it to be this weekend! This whole pregnancy thing is really confusing. Poor Mimi gets pulled in to arrange the wedding.
Adri is ridiculously pleased about his baby on the way.
Mendoza finds out that his stolen money is all fake. Clever Onesimo remembered to leave forgeries behind. He's a fine one to yell about treachery, when he's just been breaking into a safe.
Onesimo is looking really amazing in a loud shirt and a tie a foot too long. But that doesn't last long - Rebe gets his shirt off and leads him to believe that today will be the day she turns over her body to him. He just about jumps out of his pants with excitement. He comes running back to her in seconds, in a short bathrobe, everything hanging out like the window of a butcher shop. She looks utterly revolted. But she gets a call from Mendoza mentioning Plutarco's treachery and proposing a deal. She tells him to get ready for an executive meeting in the Jacuzzi, but locks him in and hunts for the money.
Meanwhile, that very rascal (Mendoza) is putting the moves on Eva. It looks like he's trying to roofie her. Good god, something is very wrong with his face. She starts to slur. Yep, she's been drugged. She collapses on the bed and he pulls out his camera (is he planning to get blackmail or a souvenir of his misdeeds). However, he's in a surprise - he discovers the wig and the false boobs! He recognizes Juan Carlos! Looks like he's gotten even better blackmail-fodder than he bargained for.
Much later, Onesimo has finished all the strawberries and gets out of the tub only to discover that she locked him in (not very effectively - he gets out in seconds). She has nabbed his keys and has rushed to Pluto's place to rifle through his (now empty) safe. He manages to get in touch with her. Predictably, he still wants her. Because he's booty-blind.
Helena gets some good news from her lawyer. Lucia has BETTER news! She's getting married next week! Uhh.. it's some guy named Jeff. She doesn't love him, but she doesn't care. Helena rolls her eyes. Apparently he's Swiss.
My highlight for the episode: Rebe - I AM SICK OF BEING TREATED AS A SEXUAL OBJECT - with her boobs practically popping out. Mendoza now wants his own executive meeting with her. I notice a portrait of Pluto painted on velvet. Then she's astonished to knock over a little sculpture to find a few mexican passports and a bunch of cocaine (or maybe it's just dust to show us how well this thing was hidden). OMG it wasn't coke - the sculpture was Antonias urn!
Yawn - Claudia was much more convincing as a villain. While I admit that she looks much better without that stupid headband, the scene of her listening earnestly to Eugenia drone on about what kind of sensible and dignified show she wants to be in.
Mimi realizes Eva is missing. Helena has come to see Eva, and can't decide whether to sit down while she waits. Seriously. That's a scene.
Mendoza tells Pluto that's he's sitting on something worth more than gold. He won't tell what it is or why it's worth anything, but he gives Pluto a few days to deliver 60% of the stock. It's a surprise!
Y Tocho Morocho - that's all, folks!

Poor Onesimo, stuck in the tub with the strawberries and champagne, lol. Too funny. And he STILL wants Rebe, who knew??? Too funny.
Didn't Mimi tell Adri she is pregnant too, with "another guys" bebe? He was consoling her so much and saying he and Eva would help her.
Poor Eva, she should definitely not trusted Mendoza. I thought for sure ole Mendoza would haul Pluti up to the room so he could see JC for himself. I hope Eva goes unscathed to fight another day.
That scene with Helena at the pension waiting for Eva/JC was too funny. I liked how she kept getting up and down, and finally told her self to just sit and wait, lol.
Lucia is now stuck on stupid. She knows how what she felt for Santi and now she wants to marry this Jeffery??? She is just stupid. I want her to reform and get a brain.
I like how Claudia and Eugenia were hanging out. So great. I hope Eugenia finds a great project and runs with it and it's hugely successful, that will show Modesto!
To think Pluti stashed his false passports in Antonia's ashes. May he rot in hell for that. And now he knows that money is so fake, too funny, the anvils are coming for Pluti finally. Can't wait until they flatten him. I wonder if Pluti will ever figure out what Onesimo did. Should be interesting.
I really wonder if the Virgincita is gonna hit Rebe with some lightening so she doesn't bug her anymore, lol.
Such epic confusion between Pluti, Mendoza, and Rebeca - all because they don't trust one another. Sweet!
If I followed all of this correctly, Onesimo is the only one who really knows what's going on, and nobody will listen to him.
As for Lucia, I'm so tired of her mindless chatter that at this point I'm perfectly fine with her going off to marry Jeff. Given her track record, she'll probably be available again in plenty of time for Santi to catch her on the rebound.
Rebe, darling, it's difficult to take you seriously when we know you've made a career of being that very thing. But go ahead and whine, you'll have more to worry about soon.
Onesimo as eager lover and suave man about town was worth the price of admission.
Mimi was heartbreaking and Adriano touching in his anticipation of fatherhood. He has a sweet teddy bear stripe in his personality. It's too bad he and Mimi can't get together with their baby.
Juan in danger--let's see how he escapes. The final conversation with Pluti Y Mendoza was so filled with cross-purposeful confusion.
And yes, the reformed Claudia is a bit of a bore. She and Eugenia could get into mischief and have a little fun while they help the downtrodden see some art.

I agree that we could have done without the Claudia-Eugenia, Lucia, and Helena sitting and standing scenes. The scenes with Adri and Mimi were very touching. She told him she was impregnanted by a 3Fs (not to be confused with 4F over on Amores Verdaderos)-- Feo, Fuerte, y Formal. Just the way Mimi likes them. :)
But the stars of this episode were the villains and the confusion that resulted from them not trusting each other. Rebeca doesn't trust Onesimo or Mendoza, so she has to check the safe herself and then decide if she trusts either of their stories about the money (and fake money). Onesimo realizes he's been duped by Rebe. Mendoza thinks that Pluti purposely duped him into taking fake money to the bank so that he'd be arrested. And of course Pluti thinks Mendoza is the one who took his fake passports, when it was Rebe. What a comedy of errors! Now something has to happen to prevent Mendoza from revealing Eva's true identity to Pluti.
Onesimo sitting spread legged in that shortie robe...OMG! What a hilarious sight gag. And Rebe's face. LOL!
I also liked Onesimo's extra long tie...it's long enough for him to use conveniently as toilet paper ....ok...I'll apologize for that.
However I also like the scene with Helena jumping up And down from the couch with the little sound effects.
If her best friend is Eva and her main squeeze is Juan Carlos Caballero of course she doesn't know if she's coming or going!
I liked the touching scene with Mimi and Adri..these two are definitely winding up together in the end and this scene ..I theorize...is warming us all up to the idea. Adri can be quite compassionate when he wants to be.
I think Uncle Fester should have jumped a little higher...like clear to the ceiling...when he saw Eva's hairy chest. That was a creepy scary scene for me.
So where is the real 3 million dollars? Does Onesimo have it? Did PLuty move it? Or was it real and the banker was just lying and now he has it? Gertie
My favorite part was when Mendoza and Pluto were accusing each other, and neither had the vaguest idea what the other was talking about.
Imagine! We have almost two weeks left, and already the action is this intense! Fasten your seatbelts; we're in for a wild ride.
I agree with Vivi and Gerti: Onésimo in the robe with the socks and shoes was the funniest scene of the episode. Bravo to Onésimmo for having provided counterfeit money and not just bricks therefore sending Mendoza on a wild goose chase. Maybe not a fashion icon, but Onésimo is always thinking!
Madelaine is right about Lucía being stuck on stupid. The Lucía subplot has been my least favorite.
The scene between Mimí and Adriano drying each others tears was actually sweet. They will make a great couple in the end.
Poor Antonia! Will she ever find peace from Pluterco's dealings? Maybe Adriano will take her home in the end. :)

If I heard correctly, Mendoza wants 60% of Pluti's GI shares or he will cause trouble for him by turning him in for having the fake money. Mendoza doesn't tell him the money is fake so Pluti doesn't realize he could really be in trouble, he just thinks Mendoza is after more. This could be a huge anvil approaching Pluti's head. He'll probably dis Mendoza, and Mendoza will turn him in. It's coming full circle...Pluti framed JC for something he didn't do, now Pluti may have the same thing happen to him.--I LOVE IT!--
Even though found the Eugenia/Claudia scene a bit boring, in the long run I do find it to be a very satisfying result in their story lines. They both have suffered so much humiliation, but now they have found a loving relationship with each other...how could we ask for more?

Why would Mendoza want stocks that will soon be worthless? Well, he had no "interest" in 5%. But if he gets 60% of Pluto's, then Mendoza will have controlling interest, and he will be able to overrule any official actions Pluto tries to make at GI. Unless of course Pluto calls in Eva's shares because of the 100 women who were rehired.
This is so complex, my head is spinning. I love it!!!
I'm concerned about Uncle Fester taking too many pictures of Juan half dressed as Eva...this could be worse than blackmail....it could put Juan straight to jail before he gets a chance to reveal any evidence against Pluti. I only saw Uncle Fester take one picture and that was when Eva first passed out and before he started undressing her. Gertie
In fact, Pluto's background/past is so murky, and his ambition has such a profoundly desperate quality, that I have to wonder about his roots.
Onesimo and Rebeca, our Certified Naco Villains, are very different from Pluto in one particular way: each displays some evidence of a humble ("naco") background, even if they each have a different way of showing it.
Pluti, on the other hand, looks as though he studied mens' magazines very carefully for years in order to stamp out all visible clues to his origin; as if he was dropped off in the DF by a spaceship from Planet GQ three weeks ago.
Rebeca is embarrassed to be from nacaville, but she brags about how far she's come. Pluto doesn't say a whole hell of a lot about anything. Wherever he comes from, I think it's more than just embarrassing. I think he's mortified by it.
Not that there has to be a reasonable explanation for every TN villain, but I'm wondering if we'll find out something interesting about Pluto in the next two weeks (OMG, it's not even two whole weeks!!).
I'm almost caught up from last week -- just two episodes left! Thanks, everyone, for highlighting those "can't miss" moments. I have a feeling Onésimo-in-the-bathrobe is going to be one of those scenes I may have to watch more than once. :)
