Por ella soy Eva #155 2/27/13: The Episode With a Cast of Characters- The Wicked Witch, The Three Stooges, The Woman of the Year, A Liberated Woman and Let's Not Forget That The Teflon Modesto Got His Walking Papers
Labels: por-ella
I thought Pluterco was quite cheeky calling Eva's pregnancy miraculous to her face but she did get back sort of with calling his suit "brillante" eventhough it was not one of his super shiny ones. I guess Eva has been noticing them all along. :)
It is fun watching Pluterco slowly losing his self control from his dealing with the murder of Mendoza, having to deal with Rebeca, to worst of all having lost the confidence of Adriano. i wonder when and where he is going to lose it completely.
I was so glad that Silvia recognized the "same old, same old" macho garbage even though it came in a more contemporary, goodlooking and overtly non-threatening package. She has learned her lesson well as has Eugenia. The packed bags were the biggest surprise of the episode. Maybe Modesto can start a third family!
Jarifa
I love your dry wit, TJ....Rebecca asking for PLuty to marry her..." There is no joking here." I also envisioned Silvia flipping the table over on her suitor, at least in her mind, Ali McBeal style.
I am still very concerned that the last person to be seen with Uncle Fester was Eva...at the restaurant ..possibly walking into the hotel/apt....and then in the hospital after the murder. Lets hope Eva can disappear or get abducted by aliens as one of you suggested a few weeks back.
It is 'jump off the fence time" for Renato. We know he's been confused and flinching a lot lately. Is he going to keep his promise to Adri to report any kind of fraud or is he looking for his next promotion from PLuty? Gertie
Pluti's anvils sure are hovering right over his head. He thought that that guy was gonna haul Eva off to the jail, lol. He also tried to make Eva and Helena bad girls in front of Adri and I am happy to say I think Adri has now smelt the coffee over Pluti and now he is no longer in charge, YAY. He sure didn't like that.
Loved the Three Stooges, Santi, Fern and JC and JC fanning under his dress was sooo funny. Also Eva fanning her face with the feather just like Cleopatra while Adri was going off, too funny. Thank goodness Mimi was there to save Eva.
Good for Silvia telling that putz off. I am glad she is standing up for herself and being her own woman. Same with Eugenia telling Modesto to hit the road Jack. So good for her and Claudia. Can't wait for tommorrow's epi to find out what the latest dastardly last minute plan Pluti tries to come up with.
TJ: Also loved your title for this epi.
On a totally related note, have you noticed that we've gotten a lot more commercials this week???
I agree, Jarifa, that Silvia has learned her lesson well. I would have guessed her reaction to that jerk to be more subdued and confused. I was glad she told him off. Ali McBeal style. Yeah, Gertie, that would be fun. I'm surprised not to see other shows pick up on that way of expressing what's going on inside. What a great show that was.
The 3 Stooges analogy was spot on. I loved that scene where JC is showing the other two clowns how he learned to behave as though he were a woman. And the fanning between the legs while the other two leaned over to see what the heck is going on down there. Very funny.
Just as funny was the scene with Adriano where Eva is behaving as though she's Cleopatra. Camil's many expressions displaying a range of emotions was great. It's nice to see the comedy maintained in these ultimos capitulos, where most shows just ramp up the violence.
Adriano was funny with the gold statue. I've noticed him groping it previously as well. One time he was on the phone with Eva and was grabbing the statue's boob.
Boy did my heart sink when Silvia's cute customer started talking about needing a woman to rub his feet. But I loved the way her face hardened as he went on and on, digging his grave ever deeper as he tried to clear the air. (She did try to explain it to him; but, true to type, he just wouldn't listen to her!)
Adriano demoted Pluti? NICE! How'd I miss that? Haha, Pluti!
Last night's episode was terribly calm compared to Tuesday's (which I still haven't seen yet), but I still got a good laugh when Eugenia told Modesto the packed bags were his. Haha, Modesto!!
Paula, I disagree that we haven't seen him being a total jerk with her lately. When she told him Friday she'd be doing a play, he ridiculed her and said it would be a disaster. And (also on Friday night) in her talk with Silvia, and later Claudia I got the feeling that she was already warming up to the idea of giving him the heave-ho. (Not so much wrestling with the idea as working up the nerve to do it.)
Come to think of it, when she told him she was going to put on a play, she had probably already decided to let this be his last chance to stop disappointing her.
My romantic heart wanted Silvia to have found a great guy, but he turns out to be a "Teniente" in a civilian suit!
I don't get why Rebe wants Pluto. Even half of his assets would not be enough to convince me! If it's cash she wants, there's the 3 mil floating around.
And she keeps talking about those ten years, so maybe this has something to do with her belief that youth and beauty are her only assets. Now she feels as though she's wasted them on him, and she wants him to pay for those ten years with his own life.
Yeah, I think she wants to marry him and then kill him. Not just divorce him. That way she can inherit everything and be a respectable widow, instead of just getting half and being a divorcee.
JC would be having a major gastritis attack now, had he not just had that surgery. Here he is trying to prove he didn't commit fraud, while at the same time he's front and center in THREE major frauds-- 1) Having Adri's baby; 2) Marrying Adri that weekend; and 3) Accepting being named WOMAN of the Year! Gosh, so many people will be hurt by the revelation of all of this. I think more people will be hurt more deeply this time, than by his original (false) fraud.
I agree that the show has been more hilarious than ever lately -- very different from Familia, my first comedy, which got very dark and violent at the end. I am still holding out for "gun fired" on my bingo card, though. :)
As long as the Woman of the Year thing hasn't been published yet, there's still time for Eva to convince them to bestow the honor on someone else.
Either that, or they'll decide that it would be sexist to withdraw the honor merely on the basis of gender. ;-)
Julie, I believe the gun was dropped before being fired. But surely Pluti has a weapon stashed away somewhere...
