Amor Bravío #145 (Uni 140) Wed 3/13/13 "Push-Me Pull-Me Love All Around (Besides Breaking TN Ultimos Capitulos News)"
Old News del Pueblo:
Dio’s Den of Dishonor: Dio informs Agustina that they will be hosting an event at the house this evening – the asking of Novia Nat’s hand in marriage by Yucky Yago. He demands that Agustina make it an affair to remember. Agustina refuses to host if Isa is to attend because she cannot abide having Isa in her home. Dio demands she will do as he says or she can pack her bags and ….. Agustina shrinks back and agrees to do whatever she needs to do to please Don Demon Dio. Agustina thought bubbles her worries about how she will be able to keep up the façade of the host and housewife.
Living Room at La BV: Cayetano and Isa arrive home after Isa has been freed from the pokey. Isa complains she is tired and anxious to take a long hot shower after her ordeal in prison. Viewerville is anxious that she don any other age inappropriate apparel than what we have been looking at for the last few days. Bratgirl wanders in and Cayetonto introduces the two and they exchange pleasantries. For now. Yago wanders in and pleads a big favor from Pops and the new missus. He asks them to come with him to his future father-in-law’s place for phony pedida dinner tonight. This is the night he will be asking Nat’s parents for payola er, her hand in marriage. Cayetano hesitates, but Isa obliges, fake-graciously, leading viewerville to sniff a whiff of a rat in the vicinity of La BV.
Viv and Rafa and Roman’s (temporarily, we think) Place: Camila and the gang sit around discussing the disheartening news that Isa has been let out of her cage. Camila, in particular, considers that there seems to be no justice. She fantasizes about running away from everything, that is, everything hurtful around her. Dan reassures her that they have lost the battle, but not the war. Camila isn’t buying it. She says it could be years before the gang sees justice served. She continues with the fantasy that she could travel with Agustina, have an adventure, whatever it takes to get some fresh air. Dan wonders what would happen to the ranch. Camila is confident that Rodolfo is a reliable foreman and Pablo a capable administrator. Dan notices that he and Camila are at odds with each others’ paths: he wants to return to LaMQ and she wants to leave. She says, anyway, after Dan leaves for Chile, the gang will no longer know about him. Dan disagrees and says he will continue to know about the gang and in particular, Camila. Nosirreee, says Camila, when Dan leaves, it is goodbye for good. The final despedida. No puede ser says Dan’s cara impactada!
New News del Pueblo:
Hostel: Novia Nat is telling Amanda about the fake-hand-asking event to be held at Daddy Dio’s. Amanda is dismayed at the late notice of the event. She adds that it would be very uncomfortable for her to attend, especially because it is being held at Dio’s Den of Dishonor. Nat tells Amanda that it is okay if she is too uncomfortable to attend. Amanda reconsiders and agrees, seeing as it is such an important event for Nat and being keenly aware she must continue to play the fake-happy-mother-of-the-bride role. Osvaldo wanders in and Nat takes this opportunity to excuse herself so she can, goodie! goodie! go buy a dress for the evening soiree. Osvaldo is updated by Amanda about the upcoming soiree and her distaste for the entire event. She wonders why Dio is at his house and not the ranch and why Agustina is still living with him. Osvaldo explains all about Camila and Dan kicking Dio off the ranch, about his part in causing the viral outbreak, the deaths of the bulls and the near-death of Dan. Amanda is even more dismayed at Dio’s consistent criminal character and doesn’t want to attend the event alone. Osvaldo advises her to go along with the plan as the good guys work to gather more evidence against Dio. He explains that Agustina is living with Dio as a ruse; she is there only to gather evidence for the good guys. Amanda wants Dan or Osvaldo to go with her. Osvaldo tells her Dan is recuperating and on the outs with Dio (even more than he was in Chile?) and unavailable to go with her to Dio’s as her protector. She asks Osvaldo to go with her. A very pleased Osvaldo is happy to be asked to accompany Amanda to the distasteful event.
Jail del Pueblo: Leo toils over a trash bin in jail as another prisoner approaches and taunts him. He asks if “lenguas largas” is dedicated to the trash business. Leo doesn’t take to the taunt well and turns and attacks him. A fight ensues and the guards jump in to tear the two prisoners apart.
Courtyard of the Orphanage: Teresa, Dante and Aaron stroll and talk about the Isa’s recent release from prison. Teresa is a frustrated lawyer seeing justice being brushed aside to the benefit of Isa. Aaron agrees – and he’s not even a lawyer – that he too, is frustrated by Isa’s ability to grease the wheel of justice and slide on by. Aaron announces he will get the dubious pleasure of informing LeoSordio of this turn of events, despite Leo’s herculean efforts at becoming literate to charge Isa with a crime. He predicts that Leo will not be pleased. Dante is not moved by Leo’s displeasure because he is a criminal, after all, right?. Aaron-Peace-and-Love-the-One-You’re-With defends Leo’s lot in life as being due to ignorance, and not having the proper guide to lead him on a more noble path. Isa and Dio, however, are less pardonable, he thinks, as they are educated persons and should somehow know better than Leo. Hmm, viewerville has to tighten Aaron’s thinking cap, a lot.
Mariano’s New Digs: Miriam and Luzma arrive with din-din and treats for all staying at Mariano’s new place. He introduces Miriam to Rocio and pleasantries are exchanged all around about el bebe, what a kind and noble daughter-in-law Luzma is, and how nice it was for Miriam to bring cookies. Mariano insists that the pair stay and dine together as this is the first night they will all eat together in his newly decorated house. They agree and there are more happy exchanges. Ana excuses herself to go play with baby Agatha and to show the bebe her dollies in her room. Luzma is dispatched to set the table. Mariano excuses himself and Miriam to go “warm the food”. MmmmmHmmmm!
Living Room at La MQ: Dan and Camila return to the ranch. Dan apologizes to Miriam, as usual for being late etc. Miriam is notably calm having just returned from “warming food” at Mariano’s. Pablo talks ranch biz with Camila. He urges her to take advantage of an auction to replace the animals lost in the virus outbreak. No pressure, he says. Si pressure, Camila replies. Camila is not anxious to leave for a few days knowing that Agustina is in possible peril while she attempts to collect evidence against Dio. She decides to “consult her pillow” and let Pablo know tomorrow. Miriam says that she and Dan will be returning to their place in town seeing as Dan is better. From there, she adds, she is anxious to return to Chile – Mexico is nice and all, but it is not their country. Luzma interrupts the pending long faces and uncomfortable moment with a surprise! Piedad and Hipolita announce they are engaged to be married.
Patio of La MQ: Eleuterio and Rodolfo finish setting up a lovely little table for our newly engaged couple, Piedad and Hipolito. Eleuterio is happy at being so clever and remembering to supply the boom box. Rodolfo mopes about being the only one who has no luvvvv.
Living Room of La MQ: All that are still present congratulate Piedad and Hipolito. Laughs and pleasantries and a toast is shared all around. Miriam is happy about something like there being a wedding after such a long while… more long faces and discomfort as no one mentions dares mention that, well, Dan and Camila recently got married.
Dio’s Den of Dishonor: Amanda and Osvaldo arrive. Dio comes to glare-and-greet and is surprised Amanda has come accompanied. Osvaldo pointedly tells Dio that Amanda is not alone. Novia Nat bounces in squealing in delight with her new dress (now channeling Isa and Ximena with the animal prints). Cayetano and Isa arrive and Dio slimes all over them with greetings – Isa gets a hand kiss and Cayetonto is greeted with “caballero”. Ackkkkk,
Living Room of La MQ: All are toasting Hipo and Piedad and the newly engaged couple ask Camila to be their madrina del matrimonio. Etc.
Mariano’s House: Mariano and Rocio exchange pleasantries and prepare to bid nighty-night to one another. Mariano tells Rocio, by the way, that Yucky Yago is at his engagement party tonight. Rocio knows and says Novia Nat asked her to go, but Yucky Yago wasn’t having it. He still has his mad on where she is concerned. Rocio remains determined to reconcile with Yago.
The Fake-Happy Prometido Party: The happy party crowd sits together for a fine evening. Isa serves Cayetonto his adult beverage with happy-dopey-drops in it. Dio makes the announcement that Yucky Yago wants to marry Nat and that as long as Nat is happy (Viewerville suspects that Yago flashes back to the assault rifle at his temple), it is okeedokee with him. Amanda adds her commentary about the seriousness of this pending commitment and that they must be sure their intent is sincere (Yago is still likely flashing back to the assault rifle). Yah right, of course they are sure and sincere the two assure her. Cayetonto adds he two pesos of advice that the future bebe requires these two attend to the responsibilities of being parents, etc. (Viewerville suspects Yago is now admiring his expensive watch and picking out beemers in his mind). During the wedding-to-be-words-of-wisdom, Isa and Dio exchange texts about being hot for each other etc.
Living Room at La MQ: The crowds have dissipated to their respective corners and Miriam takes a minute
to thank Camila for all she has done for Dan and for all her hospitality. Miriam is not sure if they will have a chance to say goodbye tomorrow as Camila may be busy replacing the things at the ranch. Camila says, no, thank you not just for saving Dan’s life but for saving the life of her ranch. They hug and Miriam excuses herself to rest. Dan comes in with the warmed bottle for the bebe. Hey, where’d everybody go? Camila informs him. They talk about their pending despedida and Camila tells Dan she now hates them so this one is it! No mas! Dan wants a hug, at least. Camila relents, breaks the hug up and walks away leaving Dan standing alone.
Dio’s Den: Yago makes it official and asks for Nat’s hand in marriage. More very thinly and not-veiled-at-all comments from Amanda about him being sure he is committed etc.
Forest somewhere between the Ranches: Pablo covers Luzma’s eyes as he leads her to a romantic place in the forest where they enjoyed time being in love before they were married.
Patio at La MQ: Hipolito and Piedad sit at the table that has been arranged for them earlier by el rancho gang. Piedad jokes with Hipo about what if she hadn’t agreed to marry Hipo. He says he would have convinced her anyway. Piedad, a little soberly, tell Hipo that even though she agreed to marry him, it doesn’t mean she doesn’t have doubts. Hipo tells her that instead of thinking ugly thoughts, he wants her to have happy thoughts. Hipo whistles and from the shadows emerge Dorotea, Rodolfo and Eleuterio carrying dinner and music and festivities for the happy couple to enjoy. They dance and enjoy the moment.
Dan and Cami’s Minds: Each is sitting or lying on their respective beds thought bubbling happier romantic times together. Their love theme plays during the montage. Viewerville can’t help wondering Miriam has insisted earlier that she and Dan “share warmies”. Nahh, Miriam was too full after the big dinner at Mariano’s with loads of Mexican food.
Back at the Forest: Luzma and Pablo share laughs, champagne and chocolate covered strawberries.
Dio’s Den: The two families of the couple to be married discuss the gestating grandchild. Cayetano admits he is looking forward to another grandchild and would be happy with a boy. Nat asks how he will feel if it is a girl? Cayetano says, just like he is crazy about Ana, he will be with another girl grandchild, but, a boy would be nice. Yago gushes over Nat that no matter what, he will be happy and smooches up to Nat. Amanda and Osvaldo note that Yago is pretty good at acting like the loving son-in-law to be. Yago asks what Amanda would prefer? Amanda says she would like a lovely girl like her Natalia. Dio accidentally-on-purpose spills a drink on Isa and insists that he needs to go help her clean up and dry her dress after his clumsy move. Mmmm hmmmm!
Doorway of Piedad: Hipo and Piedad reassure each other of their love and affection for one another. As they stand there, apparently considering what the next move will be, Piedad says she must admit to Hipo that she hasn’t been with anyone other than Luzma’s father and that she is no happy hooker. Hipo assures her that it matters not that his woman be an expert in bed, but that she has a good and noble heart. With that said, they smooch and back themselves into the humble room and proceed with Piedad’s lessons in the bedroom.
Pablo and Luzma’s Bedroom: Luzma arrives happy, peppy and tipsy. The pair are playful with one another, Luzma says she loves champagne. Pablo promises to have it for her every day, but, reminds her it is expensive (Pablo: go for the screwcap, it’s cheaper). Luzma says to forget about the champagne then. He starts to slip off to the bathroom to put on his jammies but Luzma tells him to stay there with him. Pablo shrugs and they proceed with smoochies etc. Viewerville watches nervously, hoping the champagne did what therapy is attempting to do with Luzma’s nightmarish visions. Sadly, the face of LeoSordido arises in her psyche and she grabs the glass at the bedstand and smashes it against Pablo’s face. After the momentary mental break, they look at one another shocked that this tragic record has been played one more time.
Dio’s Den and Bedroom: Dio and Isa suck face and chew each others’ lips. They congratulate each other for being so clever at escaping to make their dangerous liaison. Isa is ecstatic to be out of the prison that was her honeymoon with Cayetonto. As they slobber on one another, the bedroom door opens. It is Agustina, aghast and appalled. Our adulterous duo pause and ponder the discovery of their deception.
Avances for Los Ultimos Capitulos: Masks fall with Dio and Isa! Camila wants a final kiss from Dan after all!

BTW, to all my recapping colleagues over the week, Jardinera, UA, PdelB and 5 Ft I continue to thoroughly enjoy your recaps. Each of your styles is a grand, as usual. So there we have it and back to robot disclaimer and the recap.
Thanks so much Mena. You gave us a stellar recap, even with your real life looming deadlines.
This episode was a set up for what happened at the end, but I really enjoyed the whole thing—all the romantic couple stuff, and all the under the surface stuff at the pedida de mano. Amanda’s and Osvaldo’s incredulous faces and under the breath comments especially cracked me up. During those scenes I kept thinking that only two people in that room don’t know what’s really going on—our two remaining tontos, Nat and Cayetano. Not too long ago Gussy was just as blind and tonta as they are, so I have hope that once the scales drop from their eyes, Nat and Caye will regain their brain cells (and see the people who really love them with different eyes- Rocio and Rodolfo).
Dio and Isa are shameless, and now I am REALLY worried for Gussy.
Wohoo!! Piedad and Hipolito got busy. Unfortunately, PabLuz had no such luck. Those two are breaking my heart.
The thing Miriam said about weddings, which made everyone so uncomfortable was something like, “Seems like everyone come here and gets married…like how Dante came here with Teresa for a friend’s wedding.” Knowing that that was Cam and Dan’s wedding cause all kinds of discomfort. Maybe we should add Miriam to the list of tontos now that Gussy has left her spot free?
That hug between Dan and Cam was filled with so much longing. I laughed when Dan kept trying to come up with reasons why he and Cam would need to see each other the next day. Dude, give it up already! You can’t have Cam anymore if you’re with Miriam.
I loved watching Amanda's and Osvaldo's faces as the dinner party from hell unfolded, complete with the texting fools and the risky spill on the dress. Yucky on so many countsm including the age inappropriate dress on Isadora.
And, Luzma's face as Miriam and Mariano cooed at each other was interesting in another way.
The episode was painful inasmuch as the Luzma-Pablo situation took a turn for the even-worse, in contrast to the lovely intimacy between Hipolito and Piedad. I am convinced now that only Leo's death will liberate Luzma from her fears. It makes so real sense in any kind of clinical realm, but may solve the terrible impasse these two beloved characters face.
Since I had seen the avances for last night's episode, I knew that Pablo's impressive attempt to help Luzma overcome her fearful visions of Leoncio weren't going to be successful. Still, the writers did a great job of making Pablo's efforts seem to work. I wonder whether it would help Luzma if Leoncio were dead. Hmmm...I think I'll add his name to Gussie's in the list of likely corpses to come.
I really, really hope that Leo is six feet under by the time this tn ends.
Dion was especially disgusting today. From his fake fatherly position to kissing Isadora, yucko.
I agree that Dan is having a hard time accepting that Camila doesn't want to continue contact with him. Not sure why he's so surprised. I would feel the same as Camila.
Please writers, take off the stupid mask that Leon is wearing. I serves no purpose except to remind us that he had his tongue cut out and we all can remember that fact.
I'm sure that Dion will threaten Aggie with spilling the beans about the kiss. But she's so bad at keeping a poker face, not sure how that will play out.
My guessing track record isn't so great, but on this one, I just can't see another way out for Luzma to resolve her fears. Years of therapy, yes, but the "ultimos capitulos" are their own kind of anvil!
What fun -- and torture -- to be in the last few weeks of a novela so much worth watching, like this one. I can't wait for every episode.
I feel like Luz will only really start to heal if she’s the one to kill Leo—not in a revenge way, but by protecting herself or, ideally, someone she loves. Killing for revenge would be soul killing for her, killing to protect someone she loves would be cathartic.

Thank you Mena, especially on top of what sounds like a challenging schedule. But, as always, you didn't let us down. Loved your snark, esp. about Natalia channeling Isa's jungle printed off the shoulder wardrobe.
I adored the Hipo/Piedad coupling. So tender. And I feel terrible for our dysfunctional couple. Her terrible visions are so vivid, it's going to take a lot of work to erase that.
Things don't look so good for Aggie. Her strategy of unmasking Dio isn't working at all. Unfortunately he's a smart villain.
I actually feel sorry for Amanda having to watch her daughter be blindly in love with the wrong guy. Nat may have to learn the hard way about her father and fiancé.

I actually don't think Miriam can be placed into the "tonto" category. She is merely uninformed and very much in love with her husband. Natalia, Augustina and Cayetarugo have all been repeatedly warned about their significant others and refused to see or believe any of it (Except for Gussy very recently). IMO, that is what makes them tontos.
Soyyo
Re: "Mariano excuses himself and Miriam to go 'warm the food'. MmmmmHmmmm!" She did return to the MQ with a glow not from the stove alone.
Loved how everything going on at Dio's Den of Dishonor was fakey and who was tonto and who wasn't. Poor Novia Nat. It's not her fault she's such a pollyana and sees stuff only over the rainbow. Her discoveries will hurt more than Miriam's.
Carolina--you sure got twisted up around your X-rays and 2d tests and results last night. You AND Dan need an extra-strength beanie. (His beanie would aplastar his lovely coiffed hair do and would make make-up upset. Remember how unrecognizable he was when he put on the hoodie? Fortunately, when he was wearing his charro outfit with his sombrero, we knew by the fit of his pants who he was.)
I want Agustina to go running/crying/shouting about the infidelity to the masses in the dining room. It would make Cayetano do a double-take since Mariano warned him.
Since we're seeing contrasts, and since Dio and Isa got "caught," I hope that Dan and Cam kiss and get "caught" (by MM!) too. Then she can run out the door and run into Sir Mariano who would just happen to be at LaMal that day and he can explain what happened to her world.
It has occurred to me as well that Leoncerdo will have to die before Luzma has any peace of mind. This is a sorry situation, but it could be that she might have to kill him herself, perhaps defending Pablo, Piedad, or Camila to do it.
Iagho's one good quality is that he has Hissadora's number. He has tried to talk his father out of his involvement with her with the same negative result as everyone else. You know he will keep an eye on her. Of course his own greed is the motivating factor but I don't think he would be evil enough to kill his father for his inheritance.
The problem is that none of the Albarran sons seem to know about the connexion between Hissadora and El Diablo. Somebody needs to tell them.
It would be important for Yago to know about the romantic link and the evil schemes, since he has dealings with Dio and will now be living with Isa. He's in the best position to keep an eye out for anything suspicious. Unfortunately, he's also not on very good terms with his family or brothers right now.
What crazy egos Dio and Isadora have to think no one would know what they were up to. I guess they were turned on by the danger of it.
I'm betting Leosordido will get killed before the end too, but I can't decide whether or not Luzma could handle killing him herself - handle it emotionally that is. Maybe Pablo will be the one to kill Leo.
Would Cayetonto believe that?
He will have to see it with his own eyes, just like Gussy had to see that partially burned passport pic with the name HECTOR GUTIERREZ on it to start opening her eyes to the truth.
"...and proceed with Piedad’s lessons in the bedroom."
The best thing that happened last night.
"Novia Nat bounces in squealing in delight with her new dress..."
The best visual from last night.
"...champagne and chocolate covered strawberries."
The best snacks from last night.
Carlos
Considering that the remake takes place IN Mexico, they clearly have re-worked the plot somewhat. But as with the original, there should be lots of singing and rousing mariachi music.
Nanette,
it is my understanding that Jorge Salinas' new show is a remake of La Hija del Mariachi which showed recently on Telefutura and was an absolute delight. I'm not sure why they are doing a remake so soon and especially with Jorge Salinas starring. Here is a clip. Try to picture this with Danna Garcia (La Monita from Gancho) and JS.
Carlos
Let's see, how can Mejia destroy that scene, let me count the ways.
hmmm, still counting
And now you've all made me very afraid of Meija.
Agustina is really starting to open up to Dio, but I'm getting worried about her. Do you think she was so angry with what happened at the table that she went to check up on Dio and Isa? Dying to know what will happen now.
Even though Nat is silly, I thought she looked very pretty with her hair up.
Ann-NYC
Carlos, What are you using for your avatar now? It looks like dessert on the bottom and a salad on top!
Mariano
Pablo
Amanda
Rodolfo
Iliana
and probably Daniel & Camila
Agustina has been warned about Dionisio by the following people:
Daniel
Camila
Amanda
Osvaldo
Cayetano has been warned about Isadora by the following people:
Camila
Daniel
Pablo
Mariano
Rocio
The Mexican Justice System
I do not feel sorry for any of these people when their loved ones are unmasked, because they were told several times by several different people that their partners were BAD PEOPLE. The only one I could feel halfway sorry for is Cayetano, because Isadora has never mistreated him (to his knowledge...she is drugging him). Isadora has always been sweetness & light with him. So he's not going to believe his sweet wife is guilty of all these crimes.
Yago & Dionisio have mistreated and disrespected Natalia & Agustina, so both women have first hand knowledge their men are not nice, good partners. But even though they have first hand knowledge their men are bad, and other people are telling them "Your man is bad," they insist (well Augustina finally woke up) on staying in this fantasy world.
Natalia & Cayetano are lost. Nothing more can be done for them. Both will have to find out the hard way Yago & Isadora were only using them.
TNs are such a guilty pleasure for me! They take time, as does the reading of the recaps. Sometimes I just read the recap, and I echo Jean's words of gratitude for the recappers' and also the commenters' time and work.
