Amores Verdaderos #96 Wed 3/27/13 Beauty and the Beast, after the dance

The old:

Vikki and the Big Guy, having at last owned up to their feelings, do a sweet, romantic turn around the dance floor at the male stripper club.

Soggy Paula opens her apartment door to Francisco while Adriana hides from view.

The new:

Paula's lament -- I did it for love!
Paula is disappointed when Frankie tells her he's there to talk about his father. Frankie can't stand to see Felipe getting excited about a reconciliation and then getting his hopes dashed.  Paula says it was a misunderstanding -- she meant no harm.  But since she has Francisco captive, she seizes the chance to sing her blubbery Song of Self-Pity.  By the end of it, Frankie says he feels sorry for her.  Yes!  That's what she wanted!  Because she is the Unhappiest Woman he has ever known!

[Adriana Balvanera, hot contender for the Unhappiest Woman (UW) title, lurks in the shadows and listens.]

Finally Paula promises to talk to Felipe and set him straight.  But she won't give up on Frankie himself.

Once Frankie has gone, Adriana emerges.  She won't unmask Paula, she says, because it would hurt Francisco.

Beauty and the Beast, the middle years
The spell is broken when Jocelyn and Doris come by to watch the dance.  It's time for Vikki to go home.  Doris too.  But for Jocelyn the night is young ...

Roy is on a roll ...
Now we know how Nikki can stand to make out with Roy -- she imagines he is Frankie!  Unfortunately, when she opens her eyes and sees it's the Boy, she pulls away.  She's not ready ... she needs more time.  And there's something she needs to tell him ...

Roy is way ahead of her.  He knows all about her bulimia because Vikki told him.  He totally gets it: she doesn't want him to see her naked because she feels FAT.  Oh such a wrong wrong wrong thing to say, RoyBoy.  Now Nikki is humiliated and tells him never to touch her again.  (Hold that thought, Nicole Brizz.)

Nikki's sad song plays.

Could she really be pregnant?
Kendra is talking to herself (A DNA test?  Ridiculous!) and to her belly (You'll be rolling in dough, kiddo!) when Nelson shows up at the apartment.  Outside the door, Salsero muses: what's up with those two?  why does Nelson have his panties in a bunch?  Inside, Kendra affects offended virtue: she doesn't want Furry's name or money; she has the best of him -- his child!
(People are gagging here and there on the Patio and more than one Meta*Mart Barf Bag is pressed into service.)

NO NO NO!  If Victoria finds out that Kendra has a Nelson bun in the oven, says the Frantic Furry Fornicator, he will lose everything!  He wants more than his measly percentage of the company.

Kendra silently curses Vikki while going all saccharine for the F-man: she is so relieved he is talking out of greed.  And here she thought he didn't trust her.

An engagement out of spite?
Nikki and Roy descend the stairway of potential doom, the Boy smartly skirting the banana peels donated by concerned Patio folks.  All the while, he is talking and digging himself a deeper and deeper hole.  But then Nikki spots Frankie and puts on a show for him by talking about setting the date for the wedding.  "Let me be the first to congratulate you," says Frankie, stepping up and kissing her on the cheek.

Odette is delighted to hear that Kendra is with child.  She wants to tell Vikki right away (bwahahaha) but Kendra urges her to wait for the right moment.  Besides, she is planning an attack on another front.  Here Kendra produces the photo of Cris and "Andre" taken in Cozumel.  (Which seems to me entirely innocent.  But then I'm not a wild and crazy telenovela macho man, so what do I know?)

Beauty and the Beast back home.
Neither Vikki nor the Big Guy is sleepy. For the first time, she calls him José Ángel.  They part with reluctance.  Each, alone, savors the delicious moments of the evening.

Victoria, now heading up the stairs, traces her lips with her finger and says Arriaga aloud as if it were a magical charm. But it is Nelson who is invoked and he is ready to plead his case again. (He made a mistake ... yada yada yada) Vikki won't hear any of it.  She looks over Nelson's shoulder and catches sight of Arriaga.  She tells Nelson that nothing can be the same now.

What a sore loser!  Left alone at the foot of the stairs, Nelson smashes his whiskey glass on the floor.

Vikki and Arriaga meet once more before turning in for the night, this time in the kitchen.  He thanks her for the night and for dancing with him -- it was very beautiful.  She thinks so too.  They say goodnight again and chastely part ways.

Morning in the Bodyguard Bathroom
Frankie demands an explanation of Salsero's wedding band.  Salsero is happy to oblige: it stands for his symbolic marriage to Beatriz.  Once her divorce is final, she will be able to wear her own identical ring.

Kendra on a bike?  That is SO not how she rolls.
She doesn't get very far because ESPANTO blocks her path.  Isn't he supposed to be in jail?  It turns out he met a guy inside the joint and the guy's abogangster got him out, with a squeaky clean record to boot.  That lawyer Salsero hired didn't do diddley squat! But now Espanto needs money ... or else he'll squeal on Kendra, he'll say she was behind the abduction of Nicole Brizz!

Kendra will come up with something -- she just needs a little time to plan.  But for this job, she'll hire a guy to do the dirty work.  Is she chicken?  Hell no.  She's with child!

Balzac is not in the Balvanera kitchen.
But Jean Marie, Polita and Lili are.  Tomorrow Lili turns 18 and Jean Marie promises to make a cake.  He's surprised at her age -- she looks younger.  When Jean Marie leaves the room, Lili and Polita commiserate about not being taken seriously.  They go on to discuss strategies for losing their ... virtue.

As usual, someone is listening.  This time it is Guzmán.  He enters, clearing his throat loudly.  "It's a good thing it was me and not your father," he tells Lili.  Lili leaves, embarrassed.  Polita hangs back and cheekily asks Frankie:  "Would you do me the favor?"

We spy because we care.
Vikki scolds Tomasina for telling Arriaga where she went last night.  Tomi did it out of concern for her, she says.

Then Nikki overhears Tomi's Nikki News Update and it's her turn to feel besieged.  She is already angry at her mother for telling Roy about her bulimia.   Does she want to ruin her relationship with him?  Vikki tries to explain -- Roy is moving too fast.  She talked to the psychologist and he advised not making any big decisions right now ...

Nikki feels further betrayed at the idea that her mother and the therapist are discussing her behind her back.  And as for Roy, he is the only boy around who is truly interested in her and not in her money!

That's why Kendra was riding a bike!
One of the house staff delivers an envelope to the Big Guy.  Where did it come from?  A messenger dropped it off.  The Angel pulls a single sheet out, stares at it and frowns.

Cris bursts in with her usual noisy good cheer -- they need to talk about Lili's birthday tomorrow.  She is startled when JA grabs her arm roughly and screams at her:  "This is why you went to Cozumel???  To cheat on me with this creep???"  He brandishes the staged photo.

Cristina, outraged, slaps him in the face.  But it doesn't stop him.  "Who is this creep?" he roars.  "Tell me right now!"

Avances:  Vikki says it out loud -- I fell in love with my bodyguard!

NovelaMaven:

What a rip roaring recap. Loved the whole thing and the title especially. My favorites lines:

Blubbery Song of Self Pity for Pau

Beauty and the Beast the Middle Years

A DNA test? Ridiculous

Hold that thought Nicole Brizz!

The Banana Peels we provided, too bad they didn't work.

Telenovela Macho Man, lol.

Hated seeing Espanto and I can't beleive he is out of prison too, with a clean record to boot. We just know he is going to be working for Kendho.

I actually liked the talk Frankie had with his Mama Pau. At least he listened and heard what she had to say as far as his Dad went. Was surprised by Adri's reaction too. She does have a heart.

Loved that dance of the Angel with Ms Vikki so sweet. But all good things must come to an end.

Hated Angel getting all over Cris' case even though that pic is really nothing to go by. I am glad she slapped him. Now he needs to back off and hear what Cris has to say.

Loved the meeting of Polita, Lili and Jean Marie in the kitchen and Polita wanting the favor, lol. Too funny, I wish Balzac (hee hee) had been there.

OT: Cynderella is doing my Friday recap. I have tons to do this Friday and am recapping PEAM too and she is graciously doing this for me. I can hardly wait. I have missed her snark immensely!

BTW: Cynderella has volunteered as a guest recapper for this TN. So if someone on this team needs a day off or would like to share, please email me and let me know.

"I actually liked the talk Frankie had with his Mama Pau. At least he listened and heard what she had to say as far as his Dad went."

That's true, Mads. But now it's time for Mama Pau to listen and to give those tear glands a workout for someone else. Ya basta with the Woe is I routine!

I'm very curious to see what comes next with Cris and JA. Will he back off? He was a genuine jackass last night. I'm no fan of Cris ordinarily but lately she has been on the side of the angels (if not of the Angel): she was right to tell Beatriz about Salsero's behavior toward Kendra the other day; and in this episode, she was right to be outraged at JA's attack.

Novela Maven - Thank you for the recap! Especially because that Lili/Polita convo re: losing their virtue went right over my head due to my lacking Spanish skills.

And … ditto Madelaine's favorite lines from it.

I, too, was very disappointed at JA yelling at his wife over that photo. Cris and that guy weren't even close to a kiss, as were Vik & JA the night before. Very "double standard". JA has fallen down a rung or two on the ladder of esteem. I'm leaving his table at the Patio, but my seat is saved.

Royero really could stand some sensitivity training, even if he is only marrying Nikki for her family money. Sheesh. What a dolt.

Yup, Doris, Royero is a dolt. And right now, Nikki seems to be as disgusted with him as we are. If she is clinging to him, it is out of spite and desperation. TRUE LOVE it's not.

What a fun recap NovelaMaven. Gracias!

ITA about JA and his double standard. But EVERY character in this tn, except Bea, reacts with crazy/angry jealousy if it looks like their significant other is seeing, or even thinking about, someone else. They all need to take it down a few notches. How interesting that the least jealous/possessive character (Bea) in this tn, is married to the most jealous/possessive character (Leo).

Very glad that Nikki stopped the Roy train in the bedroom, but what's the use if she's going to let him continue to insult her and agree to marry him out of spite (for her mother and Guzman).

I always scratch my head and wonder about Nikki’s logic when she accuses Vicky of wanting to get rid of her, when it’s Vicky who is encouraging her NOT to hurry up and get married. But she never accuses Furry Fornicator Father, who is always pushing her to get married, and to basically get out of their home and lives. Not like I expect Nikki to use her brain much, but still...

I cracked up when Polita asked Guzman the favor of relieving her of her virginity. That girl is bold! LOL! Poor Guzman. All these barely legal girls trying to jump his hunky self. Aren't there any real women around anywhere?!

"Aren't there any real women around anywhere?!"

Good question, Vivi. Adriana (aka Rocky) is Frankie's obvious media naranja. But that would be a different novela, wouldn't it? In this one, it's the Ikki's who get the songs. And the hunks.

Now that you mention it, Bea IS the coolest head in the bunch even though the poor thing is surrounded by crazies and drama queens. :)

NovelaMaven – Great title and recap. You sure do have a talent for cutting to the chase. Some of my favorites:

“But since she has Francisco captive, she seizes the chance to sing her blubbery Song of Self-Pity.”

“People are gagging here and there on the Patio and more than one Meta*Mart Barf Bag is pressed into service.”

“Adriana Balvanera, hot contender for the Unhappiest Woman (UW) title…”

ITA on JA. I couldn’t stop laughing. After going cheek to cheek with Vickie, he’s got the gall to give Cris a hard time about a photo where she isn’t even touching the guy? Besides, since JA has found his bliss with Vickie, you’d think he’d be glad Cris supposedly found some bliss with another, so now he could be released from his marriage vows. Part of me wants to see my girl Cris release her inner hulk and bounce a chair off JA’s head. But they need to plan for Lili’s birthday, so I hope she can contain herself.

Vickie meant well telling Roy Boy, but I don’t blame Nikki for being pithed. I guess Vickie should’ve told Nikki that she told him. Couldn’t believe Roy’s tactlessness. Agree it didn’t seem to come out of malice.

"Couldn’t believe Roy’s tactlessness. Agree it didn’t seem to come out of malice."

Hmmm... Niecie, I'm not so sure about that. Roy is very sly, the way otherwise not very bright people sometimes are. And he is very selfish. He's not a demon like Kendra. But he IS an opportunist who is willing to do lo que sea to get what he wants. He doesn't set out to hurt Nikki but if Nikki gets hurt -- well, too bad.

"Part of me wants to see my girl Cris release her inner hulk and bounce a chair off JA’s head."

That is a GREAT image! And a chair probably would bounce right off of that big, hard head of his. Hah.

Thank you, Queen Maven!

Cynderella, welcome to the Amores recapper team! I'm looking forward to your Friday recap. :)

I had to laugh also when the FF threw his whiskey glass, I'm assuming it was whiskey and cried like a bebe HA! I wish they had a voice over that said you reap what you sow. Hmmmm.

Aribeth, surely you meant Princess Maven?

You da Queen!

:-)

Sorry Elvira, I didn't have much time for comments yesterday but I always love your recaps.

NovelaMaven---Great job. I have a little more time today---so here goes. Some of your lines really
had me laughing-----

She doesn't want Furry's name or money; she has the best of him--his child! What? LOL

The Boy smartly skirting the banana peels donated by concerned patio folks.

Question---Is it true that Meta*Mart ran out of barf bags last night? Get another order in right away--we might need them in future episodes as Boy toy is not going away any time soon.

ESPANTO? What a surprise last night
Looks like things are going to get a little more complicated.

Doris---A double standard indeed. I'm glad that Cris slapped him. Angel is the one that is starting to cheat, not Cris.

Poor Cris, what a raw deal she was delt last night.

Vivi---Not like I expect Nikki to use her brain, but still. Nikki doesn't have much of a brain, {sorry Victoria in Texas} she has a pretty face and looks good next to Guzman but a brain???
the gringo

"Is it true that Meta*Mart ran out of barf bags last night?"

Gosh, Gringo, I don't know. Could be. There was a real spike in demand last night. We'll have to ask Anita when we see her on the Patio.

Does Nikki have much of a brain? You know I'm kind of thinking that she does, even if she is making some pretty silly decisions right now. Time will tell, I guess. (Though if she goes so far as to marry The Boy out of spite, I might change my mind about her.)

NovelaMaven: oh dear, don't make me blush. I'm just the witty handmaiden. :)

As for the CozumelGate:

Angel was a total ass, that's sure. (Please let me cite my own words from Monday: "These galáns are a dichotomy personified: they are so macho that testosterone pours out of their ears, yet they are also sensitive and extremely tender to please the female audience. Therefore in one minute they have a jealous rage and act like a patriarchal nightmare, but in other they cry like a baby, collect flowers to their old mother/madrina/grandma, adopt a puppy from a dog shelter, and write a poem to their lady.")

He acted like a typical macho. Like the Furminator. (Though there are huge intellectual and moral differences between the two guys, of course.)

His only excuse is that he acted on an impulse. Maybe if he had had more time to analyze the situation, he would've realized that a) this is just a photo, b) he's just licked the makeup off of Miss Vicky's face so he'd better shut up.

Niecie:

"Besides, since JA has found his bliss with Vickie, you’d think he’d be glad Cris supposedly found some bliss with another, so now he could be released from his marriage vows."

That's what I said at the first time, too, but now I think the situation isn't that simple. People, especially telenovela characters aren't that rational. Arriaga had his emotional moment with Vicky, he got his relief (he told her what he felt and she told him what she felt) but they haven't kissed, they haven't slept with each other, and they haven't talked about the future yet. JA is still confused and tormented by his marriage vow and his love for both women. I think it's okay that he was jealous, he just should've kept his mouth shut.

And again, all of these things happened in a very short timespan. He hardly had any time to think about what's next.

***

And there's another double standard: when Cris was running amok with her accusations, nobody suggested that Arriaga should've hit her. I also think that JA acted like an idiot, and I love these dramatic telenovela slaps, but yeah, in a bigger picture it's quite interesting that a telenovela male character is not allowed to hit a woman, yet a telenovela female character is allowed to hit a man.

Wow, the recap was splendid NovelaMaven. I so enjoyed and it had me rolling, especially again with the banana peel.

So did anyone find interesting how Arriaga became jealous at the fact that Cristina could have been involved with another man, There does seem to still be love there even though he is in love with Victoria. Hmmm, interested to see how the rest plays out tonight.

*Takes deep breath* Thank goodness Nikki used her "brain" (Gringo, lol) and did not go all the way with Roy the Roller Boy. Gringo I do believe Nikki has a brain, of course she's not been the best about making better decisions and thinking some things through. Of course being naïve as well but what should we expect with a chaotic up family as hers, there's no wander she doesn't act rationally, no one in her whole family does, yes even sometimes Victoria. I'd like to believe that will change later on, hopes. And yes she is pretty and looks VERY nice next to Guzmancito :)

Lili, Polita, and the virginity talk, can anyone say Awakard. Funny how Polita asked Guzmancito, had me rolling.

Did anyone catch that kiss on Nikki's cheek that Guzmancito gave to her, a lot of felt went into that cheek kiss if you ask me. The look on both their faces was a little sad.

Kendra Pregnant? At first I didn't want to believe it, but since she was by herself talking to her "baby" I'm starting to think she just might be pregnant, "barf"

Team Nikki/Guzmancito

Aribeth,

What a great take on the telenovela galán and the way he plays both ends of the operatic spectrum. As for the double standard on violence (ladies not only get to slap their disapproval, we actually egg them on to do so) -- I never thought of it that way before. Nice point.

Victoria in Texas,

"There does seem to still be love there even though he is in love with Victoria."

Wow. It didn't even occur to me that JA's jealousy was a sign of love. (To me it just looked like a sign of idiocy or maybe too much caffeine.) But I bet you're right. Cris is still his mujer. A cool response to the photo -- like the Boy's cool reaction when he saw Frankie and Nikki smooching -- would have been a sign of indifference. The Big Guy is anything but indifferent ...

Victoria in TX - I also started to wonder if Kendra is really preñada because she was talking to that "baby."

--- --- --- ---

I've been thinking about how JA went ballistic on Cris over a photo.
He feels so guilty about his feelings toward Vikki, that he transferred that guilt to Cris and unloaded it on her.

He KNOWS he "just licked the makeup off of Miss Vikki's face" (good one Aribeth!). Because he knows what HE is capable of and beyond, his knee jerk reaction is to think Cristina did the same, or worse. Sort of like a transference of guilt. That's my armchair psychologist theory for today.

Victoria, Doris: good points.

NovelaMaven, awesome as always. I loved all the lines everyone mentioned.

Now I'm glad that I splurged on the jumbo pack of Deluxe Meta*Mart Barf Bags. They sure are coming in handy with Nasty Nelson, Royero, and Pauwhiner all grossing me out in the same episode.

I am not sure Paula even wants a good relationship with her son. She just wants him to pity her. Even when she thinks she is apologizing and making amends, it is still All About Her.

The Liliana/Polita/Guzman scene was hilarious. I admire Polita's confidence. Surely she can find a nice guy who will appreciate her.

There was way more passion in that cheek kiss than in Neta & Royero's entire nearly-nekkid smoochathon.

Agree with all the comments on why JA acted the way he did. Cris has been JA's mujer since she was 18 and he was about 22-23 (?) and they seemed happy a while back so it's understandable he still has strong feelings for her despite falling in love with Vickie. I also think JA's been so busy with his new bodyguard lifestyle and falling for Vickie that he hasn't given much thought to what Cris is doing when he’s not around, so seeing her in that photo was just strange to him.

Aribeth - On the TN slap/whacks, I do subscribe to the double standard that men shouldn't hit women. I loved when Miss Vickie gave Nelson the triple slap a while back, but he better never do it to her even if he finds out about her true love. I've seen a TN galan slap a woman just once to stop her but not to try to hurt her (e.g., Rogelio in LQNPA), but generally I only accept a woman receiving a slap/whack from a man if the woman is pure evil and needs to be physically stopped from doing some evil act. Wicked as Kendra is, I don't like Salsero roughing her up.

I wonder if they are even going to bother trying to figure out who would send JA the photo. Or will this be like the other dirty tricks, e.g., Vickie and JA's invitation to the hotel suite, that never get investigated.

Lordy.Lordy. Lordy! What a night!. My 2 cents about the Angel losing his cool. Could it be he's trying to find reason for his own peccadillo? -she is cheating on me!!that makes us even!- Also he's probably trying to confirm that "if this was true then all the more reason I am beginning to lose my love and maybe divorce you". This is why in desperation he wants confirmation so that he could decide once and for all what to do.
I think that Guzmancito is opening the door back a little to his mom. I know he will. I wonder when he would learn what evil things Kendra has done to him. will Nikki hear about it too? I hope soon enough before her marriage to that yucky Roytoyboy. Yuck I hate that bed scene with him. Nikki does have the lowest self-esteem.

Manuel in Amor real hit Matilde when she tried to elope with Adolfo Solis. But that story took place in a different era.

Anyway, I heard men saying that they find it very humiliating when a wife/girlfriend hits them. It may hurt physically, but it also hurts them emotionally, especially because they are not supposed to defend themselves.

In telenovelas slaps look awesome, and usually the male characters deserve them... But first, this double standard doesn't help the notion of gender equality, and second, for me it looks like female characters are allowed to do this because they are the weaker sex, they can't defend themselves with normal arguments, so let those poor things have their moment and hit their men.

Julie- "I am not sure Paula even wants a good relationship with her son. She just wants him to pity her. Even when she thinks she is apologizing and making amends, it is still All About Her."

I couldn't agree with you more, I forgot to comment about that scene, but the whole time I watched it I was like, "Guzmancito RUN," Ok maybe I'm being dramatic but so is Paula's crying scenes and pity party she throws herself to make Guzmancito feel bad for her. Eh!

Team Nikki/Guzmancito

Julia,
I'm relieved to hear you have a good stock of Deluxe Barf Bags. There is likely much more gross-out fodder on the way ... like, say, Kendra REPRODUCING! Ewwwww.

Niecie and Aribeth,
I'm uncomfortable with people hitting each other. Period. But the telenovela slap is a time-honored dance. Besides, why take the trouble to write WORDS when you can just have your character go THWAPP?

Vida2,
I also think Guzmancito is opening the door a little to his mom. (There goes the neighborhood!) It was that little hand thingy at the end -- you know, when she wouldn't let go for the longest time. I'm thinking she may have implanted a subcutaneous device that will make him react to her with pity and forget the suffering she inflicted on him. Or maybe not. :-)

NM--This was such a good way for me to get back into things. Been away for a week--it's hard enough to catch up with the recaps and comments for one tn. Three is just too much--they've all run together in my mind....Where is Elias in this episode, hehe. Ah, no Balzac, either.

I echo everything everybody said about the recap--terrific and the comments are over the top.

I DID notice something very subtle that no one has mentioned, at least not yet. When Vikki and Arriaga were saying their buenas noches, que descanse, after they got home from their very hot dance, Arriaga looked at Vikki and very slowly came out with buenas noches, que descanses--he knew he was using the familiar conjugation. The look on Vikki was like a schoolgirl whose hero celebrity or favorite schoolteacher recognized her in a crowd--a huge wordless smile. That's probably why she timidly spoke his given name on the stairs.

If these two can't keep their eyes or hands off each other, the cat is going to be out of the bag real soon, too soon in tn time. Something has got to happen to keep them apart--and not necessarily a misunderstanding. Well, they'll be super-busy with Nikki and her wedding plans and Cris and her "indiscretion."

Still have more catching up to do on PEAM and AB. See y'all tomorrow.

Oh, no, everybody wants more barf bags? What's happened here?

Aribeth and NovelaMaven - Good points. I was raised that hitting was wrong and no way to solve problems or settle an argument, and that slapping someone (man or woman) in the face is a personal affront and humiliation. On the TNs, I guess the writers will need to dig a bit deeper to have women characters express their anger in different ways. I like a good articulate argument but I also enjoy the physical stuff too. Hmmm, maybe instead of the triple slap, Miss Vickie could have snatched Nelson’s whiskey glass, downed the drink in his face, and quietly walked away.

Anita - Thanks for the info that JA addressed Vickie in the familiar. Now I'm even more pithed about his roaring at Cris. :D

Nelson keeps breaking glasses that the staff has to clean up. They should start giving him his whiskey in a plastic sippy cup.

NovelaMaven, my favorite was "Frantic Furry Fornicator". Your recap is better than the story.

Anita is home! Yay!!!

Hey, I'm glad you mentioned the tuteando thing. It was definitely a nice little touch, as was Vikki's reaction to being addressed familiarly. It is so cool the way the choice of personal pronoun (tu or usted) almost defines a relationship between two adults.

(I had stopped talking about this kind of thing here but maybe it's time for the Word Nerd to come out of the closet. If it happens, it will be all your fault.)

Julia:
"They should start giving him his whiskey in a plastic sippy cup."
hahahaha -- either that or take his whiskey away. But he's such an ass, he'd break his milk glass too.

Emarie,
Glad you enjoyed the recap. But I think the story is WAY better. :-)

JA totally pulled a Cris! Maybe she shouldn't have slapped him (even though he sooo deserved it), but he was totally out of line. What she should've done, was remind him of how SHE had reacted all those times she "misunderstood" or "misinterpreted" his and Victoria's actions (carrying her into the house from swimming, going on that spur-of-the-moment trip, etc., etc.). He, on the other hand, could have told HER, "so now you know how I felt." Their roles have been completely reversed: she's in that innocent (though incriminating) photo while he goes bonkers and into a jealous rage - who is the pot and who is the kettle?

A few days ago their was some discussion about the galan (pretty) criers. Not a galan, and definitely not pretty: Nelson. He's the ugliest crier I've seen! LOL

Soggy Paula is just yuck! Enough with the tears, woman! Not a pretty picture at all. I wish Guzman had just walked in, told her off about giving false hopes to Felipe, and brushed her off with a "you're still dead to me!" I can't stand her!!!

JA could learn to Lanza Nerfazos next time he gets angry.
