PEAM - #8 - Mar. 20, 2013 -Woody and Jessie take a surprise trip; Miss OCD visits the barrio

Note from Recapper Jody: I have to remind myself not to take anything in this
novela seriously or personally, it’s a comedy. well, it’s supposed to be a comedy
anyway. At various times, the episode has become so pathetic the only thing I can do is
laugh and entertain myself with thoughts like “AVON spelled backwards is NOVA (NOVA)”.
Also, I’ve been renaming characters. For now, my new nicknames include:
Chucho -- Chuckles, Xochi -- Chachi, Fernando -- Woody. And now onto the recap...

Rog packs the money in the little case as he talks with his brother Woody.
Chuckles talks on phone with Vero. She tells him she's on her way to see his place. He
tries to talk her out of going tonight. She is determined and will see him at 6 p.m. sharp.

He panics.
Uri talks with his lawyer (who is also Rog and Woody's lawyer) in the prison. They talk
about Rog, then Uri tells the lawyer to locate and get revenge on Jesus.
Pati grumbles in her apartment. Alma calls and says she suspects her fiance is
sneaking around behind her back. Pati wonders why she suspects it? Alma tells her
about all the secret meetings of Rog, Woody and the bank, and the mystery female who
called her. Pati asks what will you do? Alma says she won't spy on him or break up.
Pati assures Alma of her support as her BFF.
Rog enters Alma's office - reminds her it's Thursday and of their romantic date at his
home every Thursday. Jesus almost enters the office, and tries to sneak away without
being noticed. Too late, Rog sees him and tells him to enter. Rog leaves. Jesus hands
Alma some papers to sign. She notices his nervousness. He tries to deny and cover it
up.
Eli drives with Vero - they argue over Vero's mistrust and paranoia towards Chuckles.
Chuckles gets nervous with Alma and starts the "perdon" stuff again. He calls her an
angel and leaves the office. Before Chuckles leaves, Alma stops him and asks to drive
him home. He tries to refuse but she insists.
Mari is in the bathroom talking with her dad on her cell. Chachi enters. Mari talks her
into an emergency makeover, to be more attractive for Chuckles. Mari leaves as
Chachi applies her makeup.
Woody is back down in the warehouse to flirt with Jessie. He promises with time and
patience, he will get Jessie back upstairs. She flirts with him.
Chachi returns to the office, only to find out from Susanah that Chuckles has left for the
night.
Alma drives Chuckles in car. They talk about Valentina and Vero. Chuckles explains
how strict, over-protective and rigid Vero is with her rules. He then tells her about Eli.
A call comes in and Chuckles answers his cell. It's Vero, to scold him about the
directions to his apartment building - they're lost. Eli tells Chuckles where he is -
Chuckles gives him another set of directions. Chuckles hangs up and explains to Alma,
he just bought them time to get there before Vero does.
Woody and Jessie are locked inside the back of a semi-trailer. The truck starts moving
and drives away.
Alma parks in front of the apartment building. Chuckles thanks her. They have a close
brush of noses before Chuckles gets out. Alma takes a deep breath as Chuckles goes
inside the building.
Chuckles starts cleaning the apartment and moving furniture around. He knows he's in
trouble. He sits down and the back of the chair breaks. Just as he asks, "what else
could go wrong?", the light shorts and goes out.
Alma still sits in her car outside. She watches in her rear view mirrors as Eli and Vero's
car parks behind hers.
Chuckles leaves his apartment, and visits with Chatita. She tells him she has good and
bad news for him. He asks for the good news - she says the bank hasn't been by to
foreclose on the apartment. He asks about the bad news - she can't remember it.
Alma listens as Vero and Eli pass by her car - Vero is complaining about the
neighborhood and the building.
Chuckles tells Chatita about Vero and Eli's surprise visit - he doesn't know what to do.
Just then, Vero and Eli walk into the courtyard. Vero complains about the directions.
Chuckles introduces them to Chatita. Chatita slips the keys for her apartment into
Chuckles's hand.
Truck driver stops and parks. He opens the back and is surprised to find a couple of
stowaways. Woody and Jessie slowly climb out. Driver asks who they are? Woody
pays him to ignore them and keep his mouth shut.
Vero and Eli check out Chatita's apartment. Chuckles lies and explains she has been
living there while he's been in the USA. Vero remembers that years ago, she knew him
as a hippie to the enth degree. Vero goes on her own tour as Eli and Chuckles whisper
together. The guys find Vero in the bedroom. She notes there is only one bedroom.
She tells Chuckles he will have to have a separate room for Val to stay there. Then
Vero mentions how feminine the decor is.
Out in the courtyard, Alma meets Chatita. Chatita tells her Chuckles is taking Vero and
Eli on a tour of her apartment.
Vero finds Chatita's laundry, and asks him about the bra. Chuckles stares and Eli
answers, it must be his girlfriend's. Chuckles plays along with the story. Vero goes
ballistic - Chuckles diffuses the bomb by saying it was one night only and won't happen
again. Eli and Chuckles do a manly grunt. Chuckles takes the bra from Vero and hides
it.
Alma and Chatita listen through the door and talk together about what is happening
inside.
Rog arrives home. First he goes downstairs to the storage area. He opens a file and
hides something inside. He leaves and locks the door. He goes upstairs.
Alma and Chatita hide. Chuckles leaves the apartment with Eli and Vero. He passed
inspection. Vero agrees to bring Valentina over after her routine appointments
tomorrow. Jesus calls Valentina on his cell to tell her the great news. Val is so excited,
she's jumping on her bed. Vero reminds him not to be late. Eli tells Chuckles he will
bring over some photos of Val as a baby for Chuckles. Chuckles thanks him very much.
Rog sets a very romantic scene in his house - preparation for Alma's arrival. Rog hears
a noise and panics. He calls out, Who's there?
Chuckles finds Alma and Chatita and tells them he passed, Val can visit him. Chatita
congratulates him. Chuckles thanks her and gives back her keys. Chuckles then talks
with Alma alone. They talk and laugh about the tour. Alma is happy it all worked out for
him. As he walks her to the exit, she asks to use his bathroom. He's embarrassed and
hesitates. She insists and he lets her inside. Alma notices how empty it is as she
bumps into the broken chair. He swoops in and catches her in his arms.
Rog and Pati scare each other. Pati makes fun of the rich, elegant lengths he goes
through to impress Alma; he never does it for her.
Jesus continues to hold Alma. He explains he will work a lot to earn money to buy
furniture and items for the apartment. They talk about everything he will need. Alma
offers to loan him all the furniture and accessories she has in storage. She insists. He
thanks her. She says the items are at Rog's house and Chuckles is nervous about his
reaction. Alma puts a positive spin on Rogelio's personality. Chuckles mentions how
different she and Rog are.
Pati won't leave Rog's house. She is jealous of Alma.
Alma has to leave for a date. They finish their conversation - she has to briefly explain
why she and Rog have separate homes. He thanks her for helping with Vero and the
apartment. He tells her if she ever needs a friend or a favor, to just ask. He takes
forever to let go of her hand so she can leave.
Pati faints. Rog catches her on the floor, then panics as he sees headlights outside the
window.
Advance: Jessie encourages Chachi to flirt with Chuckles - even though he only has
eyes for Alma (his boss).

NOTE:  We have Jody to thank for tonight's recap.  Read and enjoy.

Jody: Thanks so much for this fab recap. Now Alma knows how bad Vero is. She was rolling her eyes when she heard Vero going on and on. Like how Alma is "donating" some furniture to Chucho. Alma and Chucho are so cute together.

One correction about Patimelt. She didn't faint, she passed out. She was drunk as the proverbial skunk when she got to Rog's. Now I wonder what he will do with her, since those headlights are in the window, lol.

Hated Yuri talking about getting back at Chucho. Hope he doesn't succeed.

Really liking Chatita. She may be scatterbrained but she has a big heart. It was so sweet of her to give Chucho the keys to her place so that Vero would think Chucho lived there. The finding of the bra in the laundry room was too funny. I like how Eli stuck up for Chucho and said it must be his girlfriend's lol. And according to Vero he isn't supposed to have a girlfriend? Can't stand Vero, she needs a comeuppance and soon!

Fern and Jessie in that truck were too funny. I hope Jessie is stuck down there in shipping for a long, long time and maybe Fern can join her there : )_

Jody, Thanks so much for your fast paced and funny recap. I agree with Madelaine that Chatita is developing into one of my favorites for her noble spirit even though it comes out past some short term memory problems. And the big bra was the perfect way to upset Veronica who is so uptight I don't think the other characters like her much. Seems only Carlos is on Team Vero for now. She better lighten up or these two men are going to tease her to death. Maybe that is what she needs. Wasn't there the strong green tint of jealousy clouding her face while she tried to be judgemental about Jesus' extra-curricular activities. Good for Elias for backing Jesus again.

And does anyone know the name of the long-haired secretary who is being so mean to Xochi? I totally felt sorry for Xochi, but I suppose none of these witches are going to tell her she doesn't know how to apply makeup.

Thanks Jody for the recap. Loved the new nicknames. I didn't get to see the whole episode, so I appreciate the summary.
The long haired secretary's name, I think is Maricela.
I am still trying to figure what Elias sees in Vero. She is the ultimate Ice Queen and he is the voice of reason and compassion. I guess that opposites do attract.
I do remember a mention about Chuckles telling Alma that his relationship with Vero was routinized and she seemed to take the words internally, thinking about her and Roge's relationship. Hmmm???

Thanks, Jody. I needed filling in on some of the early stuff in this episode.

Vero needs a chill pill. Jesus isn't allowed to have a girlfriend? What planet is that woman living on? Wait until he buys the child ice cream.

Thanks Jody! I love the new nicknames!

I grow fonder and fonder of Elias with every episode. I LOL'd when he high-fived and duuuude'd with Chacho about getting a little ackshon!

This show is definitely growing on me.

Who thinks that bureau where Rogue put the money is going to end up in Chucho's house? Oh I hope it doesn't cause problems for him!

Great recap Jody.

I was surprised Vero bought that the apartment was Chucho's, given all of the pics of Chatatia and her hubby and son all over the place. But I guess she was laser focused on finding the dust bunnies and grime. I had a good laugh at Elias' and Chucho's male bonding moment over the large bra. Elias must have been imagining some busty young babe and thinking that Chucho is a lucky man. LOL!

Rogue hid the money in a drawer of what looked to be Alma's furniture that's stored in his storage room. The furniture Alma is about to give to Chucho...

Sara- We were writing at the same time and thinking the exact same things. :)

Jody, thanks for the entertaining recap and original nicknames!Chatita provided some good comedy. She's such a good character because she is funny but does inspire sympathy from the viewer because of her condition and being as kind as she is.

I agree with Madelaine that Jesús and Elías shared a special comedic moment with that bra and that Verónica needs to get put in her place soon. I also liked Fernando and Jessica stuck in the truck and then buried by the boxes.

I just might be getting used to the show and its pacing but the scenes seemed shorter to me again and they didn't seem to linger on or prolong scenes unnecessarily. On to tonight's episode!

Jarifa

Thanks Jodi. It was an interesting episode.

The slow unraveling of back stories begins. Maricela in the ladies room on the phone will probably lead to our learning more about her. Hopefully it softens her because so far she's the nastiest of the secretaries -- except for Jessica who has a strong reason to want Chucho gone.

Yes, I'm sure that the case Rogelio hid in the storage unit will end up in Chucho's apartment. I saw money in the case he hid. Did I also see a gun?

The accidental ride in the back of a truck was fun. So was Elias' reaction to the size of the bra they found. His assumption that the owner was very sexy is funny since we know it belongs to Chatita.

She is a sweetheart. I wish there wasn't so much emphasis on her muddled brain.

Patimelt was wonderful again. She is so funny.

Güera

Vivi- I think I groaned aloud when Alma offered to loan him furniture from Rogue's basement.

Thanks Jody. I admit to missing a few good moments last night going back and forth between the Cavs game and the show. I will need to rewatch some scenes during lunch on my Kindle Hulu link.

Honestly, I say the heck with Vero or Alma at this point-- my favorite relationship is the budding bromance between Chuckles ( love that) and Elias. Their chemistry just pops off the screen. Put those two on screen together more and I will definitely be tuning in every night.

Was happy though that both Chatita and Alma both got an earful of Vero. That witch is going down! Or she better be in line for a major change of heart. Right now, I can't abide her and try my hardest to not throw things at my TV when she spouts her venom. There has to be a back story to her behavior and personality or I cannot believe Eli fell for this woman. It can't all be Chuckles fault either.

Seems they are painting Alma to be either too trusting as a person, or someone who is willing to ignore the flashing red lights when things are going wrong in a relationship. I suppose this is a way to drag out the Rog/Pati behind closed doors and not have her find out what's happening for many, many more episodes. But kind of bugs me a supposed smart business woman is willing to just be quiet and not say anything or ask questions if she is wondering about what the boyfriend is doing. Argh!!

Back to work and watching snow fall-- this is spring right?

I don't want to sound like Vero, but I wouldn't share my make up, I have heard that bacteria could be in it, so every blush and gloss should be kept to the owner... and Marisela let Xóchitl use her stuff...
Why would a delivery truck be full of EMPTY BOXES? Is that what they deliver? LOL
Do people drive with the interior lights in the car on all the time?

I LOL when they found Carmelita's Bra!! The best scene of the night!

BTW, I don't believe in those misleading ''avances''. One night they edit them to make me think something, and the next day the story goes completely different!

Pablo-- they are taking a page right out of US TV shows with the misleading advances. I agree, better off not even watching them!

It was evident in PESE, specially that time when they showed when Rebecca ripped off Eva's blouse to expose her breast and then we saw it was just a daydream, and when Eva is talking to Mimi about her pregnancy, and got misinterpreted and so on...
Here, they made me believe that Vero was actually in Jesús house doing the white glove test, and turned out to be something completely different!

Thanks, Jody, you really captured the fun in this episode.

I'm really liking Chatita. Ordinarily I'm very uncomfortable seeing Alzheimer's played for laughs but her character is so adorable and so endearing that I won't complain too much.

I cracked up at Elias' reaction to the bra... it was so unexpected and seemingly out of character. I'm ashamed to admit, however, that it caused my eyes to go directly to Verónica's chest. How shallow have I become?

Carlos

Gracias Cheryl,
I was waiting for Veronica to see the pictures on the wall & wondered how Jesus was going to explain that.

Damn Comcrap, the sound was off on only that channel for 1/2 of the TN.

I like the TN, it's silly but with chuckles.

Hope Veronica doesn't come to my house, Valentina would never be allowed to visit if she wiped her finger across the furniture.

Pablo- I had the same thought about sharing make-up. Ew.

Ditto at my house, Variopinta.

Good Luck with Iona tonight, JudB. And I hope we put the Grizzlies to sleep.

Güera from Syracuse

Ah, Carlos, just human ( and, uh, I did the same thing??)

Vero's finger swapping reminds me of Laura Flores' character in Refugio. This one may be played for laughs, but her fixation, controlling character and high-pitched rantings sure smacks of the same issues (without the religious overtones).

DaisynJay:

You are so right about Vero. What a good point you made about Roselena and the checking for dust on all the furniture. I am glad they are playing it for humor here.

Thanks, Jody. Swell job.

I really enjoyed this episode. It helped that we had almost no time in the office, at least not with Jesus being tormented. I had to laugh at Elias gamely admiring Jesus's muy cool retro style. I wondered why he didn't just say he rented the apartment furnished, but I guess he wouldn't be him if he didn't babble when he's nervous.

I knew Alma would help Jesus out, but it was a nice surprise that Chatita had a lucid moment at just the right time and handed him her keys.

I wonder why Rogue decided to get into a life of crime and deceit. He's way too nervous and jumpy for it.

I hope we get some flashbacks of Jesus and Vero as hippies.

This is getting better and I'm actually engaging with the characters. Thank you, Jody for a fine, fine recap with just as much pep and sass as the epi.

One thing nobody has mentioned yet which adds to Vero's backstory, when she was heading down the hall with the two new BFF, Chuckles and Eli, she was putting Chu down reminding him how messy and disorganized he was when they were together and Chuckles is side-whispering to Eli that that's not the way it was, *she* was the messy disorganized one.

Also, Vero was not demanding a separate sleeping room for Vale, but a separate bed and Chuckles said he'd take care of that right away.

Yep, classic set-up,no? The furniture gets hauled away to Chuckles place, Rogue goes rogue and Alma gets a different side of him and Rogue gets his warehouse thug-buddies to go get the caja with the money. Of course, they don't know where it is and trash the whole place. Meanwhile, Alma and Chucho, perdon, perdon, Chuckles have already found it and he's put it in the bank. No Spoilers, haven't looked at any previews or anything. Just my overactive imagination. (Course it ain't gonna happen' that way, jus' sayin').

Jess & Fer locked in the back of the truck with empty boxes? How lame. But it serves them right. Fer was lucky he had his wallet on him. I got a kick out of Jess saying--no me toques (Bingo anyone?) as she got off the truck on her own without her skirt bottom riding up to the top. I kept trying to read the words on the boxes, but all I got was *Stop* and since I didn't record it, I couldn't freeze frame it.

I wonder what Roge is going to cook up for Alma, story-wise, for Pati's presence. Or he could stuff her in a closet and hope she doesn't wake up. Yeah, she so wants to get caught. She admitted that she knew Roge's schedule by heart, so she knew this was Alma's nookie nite.

OK, Pablo. You've been posting here for awhile. I'm intrigued by your avatar. Looked as closely as I could and it looks like a uniform from somewhere in the 1840s-1860s. Please share.

I heard Jesus say that Vero was a hippie type and slept on the floor. But then their nookie became scheduled? I wonder how long they were together and what changed her.

I think Jessica's skirt must have an underlayer with snaps like a baby onesie to keep it from riding up. Those two were lucky the truck was only transporting bath puffs or something instead of cases of shampoo and perfume.

Oh, I forgot to mention my other favorite part of the episode: fraidy-cat Rogue tiptoeing around his giant house all freaked out. Did anyone else notice the weird objets d'art on his shelves. I wondered where his dog was. In his office, all the pictures are of a dog, or him with a dog. In one, the dog seems to be winning a medal. So where is this prize-winning pooch?

Thanks for the recap Jody. I enjoyed your nick names.

Add me to the list of those liking how much Chuckles and Elias seem light siblings separated at birth. When they were hugging Vero looked jealous.

Elias is making Jesus a mix CD, AND they hugged. I think that means they're going steady now.

Anita, I used to have my picture but it was getting old, so I went older instead and used the oldest picture ever taken in history, it is a soldier and the picture is titled ''1839 Robert Cornelius''.
I have friends coming today from guess where? Yes, Monterrey! So If I like myself in one of the pictures, I would change my avatar to the most recent... ;-)

Thanks Jody, you were having fun with this one, nicknames, suspension of disbelief and all.

The huge white bra discovery reminded me of an old Sophia Loren/Marlon Brando film. Anybody remember it? That's as far as this ol' Chatita's memory goes.

My mom had severe memory issues by age 75, but she used to quip that "every moment was a brand-new day" and she was never bored.

I'm thinking Elias tired of constipated Veronica long ago and is thoroughly enjoying Chucho's regular upsetting of his wife. Still think the sexy, full-lipped psych is in that long-suffering husband's future.

I'm sure Rogelio will have a shining white knight explanation for why a drunken Pattimelt is on his floor.

As for me, my favorite moments were the intense eyeball to eyeball moments...Chucho and Alma in the car, Chucho and Alma in the apartment. Bring on the budding romance!

Güera, thanks for the good wishes. We actually play tomorrow night. So I'll root for you guys this evening. I love your coach.

Wow, Pablo, thank you. Interesting. Where is the original photo?

Julia--I stand corrected, it was Vero saying something about Chuckles sleeping on the floor and he replied that it was she who slept on the floor. I guess I just looked around my house and "messy" just popped out.

The CD Eli made was of photos of Vale from infancy until now--the years Chucho, perdon, perdon, Chuckles missed. That was so sweet of him and Vero was pithed.

I wouldn't swear I heard it correctly, but I thought I heard them talk about being hippies and sleeping on the floor. "Messy" was probably in there somewhere, too.

Thanks, Jody, for the speedy and complete recap! You got a fun one this time.

I was home sick watching, and caught a couple funny little bits of dialogue:

- When Jesús is asking Chatita for the bad news, he says, "¿y la mala?" and Chatita gets confused for a minute and then says, "That TERESA from the telenovelas!"

- When they find the bra and Jesús says it was just a one-night stand, Elías remarks that she must be a "big-hearted girl."

- When Rogue hangs up on Paty in the restaurant, he says (in English), "Bye, drama queen!"

Absolutely loved the large bra scene! Someone probably already mentioned this but it seems that Jesus and Valentina share endearing habits:

He the mouth-zipper thing.
She the bending-finger thing.

Looking forward to quality time shared between the two. Alma will surely fall in love with both of them. Gertie

Rogue's English phrases make me laugh. Like how he keeps muttering "whatever!" to people. Not very becoming language for the big boss! He sounds like a bratty teen.

I think Marisela is hiding something about her family life. She puts on airs about how her family is so fancy and her supercool important dad goes off to business meetings in Europe and buys her fancy stuff, but when she was talking to him on the phone, she was hissing that she told him not to call her. I think maybe her persona is a façade and she is very insecure.

Anita: My pic is still hanging around in some of the comments on my blog (cinematerapia.blogspot.com) where I talk about movies and other shows I have seen, and TN of course), pay homage to classic and/or almost forgotten faces in the movie business, and all that.
When I first came to this blog I thought I read there was some people needed to recap TN and I almost offered myself, now that I am watching PEAM (I have seen only 4 whole TN in my lifetime, the rest, bits & pieces), but sometimes I hate myself because I don't find anything interesting in some episodes, so I didn't want to bring that to this place, because here everything seems very harmonious and peaceful... Anyway, the bottom line is, I hate remakes and always try to find the black dot in the white piece of paper, LOL!!
In the meantime, I get a lotta fun!
Nice to meet you all!

I am glad things didn't work out for Fern, and my NEW Telenovela Luv interest, Jessica....lol

Guera, more controversy for the Orangemen, but it will not hurt them....Judy B. everyone picking your Buckeyes for the final four...My team has a late start, 9:45pm, I am getting nervous already....

The Games have begun...
Anon#1

I hate those late games, Lee, but I have a good feeling about your team. Super coach. He'll get 'em ready to play.

Thanks for the recap, Jody, and thank you Cheryl for posting it!

I actually enjoyed this episode quite a bit, except for the unkindness to Xochi, and Chatita's forgetfulness schtick which I don't find as amusing as I think I'm supposed to.

As for the conversation about Chucho's and Vero's housekeeping skills - honestly, I thought Vero said that Chucho used to be a slob who always left things lying around, and then Chucho told Eli that it was really Vero who was always leaving things lying around. But I don't remember what verb they actually used, so maybe I just didn't hear it right.

I don't think Rog will have much trouble explaining Pati's presence. "She was very upset about something and came over to see you; I offered her a drink, not realizing how drunk she already was; she passed out cold."

I knew as soon as Rog put the money in that drawer that the furniture would be given away soon. It's a classic sitcom plot!

Pablo--Have fun with your Monterrey friends and do tell us what or where you ate (we always like to know what).

Recapping is definitely a labor of love. There are many situations, characters, and language (speed, unintelligible, slang or idioms) that make us wish we were doing something else, but we persevere. Mainly because of the thanks and pats on the back we get from commenters the next day.

I have a feeling that you don't need to improve your Spanish language listening or speaking skills (based only on your name and location), but I hope you feel welcome to continue to comment with us (We Need More Men and their points of view).

About the photo--I meant is it in a museum or other collection? I guess I could look him up on line.

OK. I will be leaving in about one hour to see them.
Spanish is my first language, so english is where I make the most mistakes, but I am trying...
That 1839 picture was found by chance on tumblr, in a place called ''Daguerrotipes'' or something like that, and is full of old, old pictures from mostly unknown people. I love those photos!
Well, if you ever need me in your team, just say frog and I jump!

Julie, I thought Eli and Jesús were talking about "being a super-hippie and sleeping on a mattress on the floor." But I wasn't actually listening as much as reading the captions, and they're not always entirely intelligible...

P.S. "No me toques" and "fainting" means 8 squares now for me & R la O. Unlike poor Chucho, WE ARE COOKIN WITH GAS.

Julia, I remember the Patimelt actress use to say "WhatEVER!" all the time in Llena. Sort of got a kick at the way she would say it. Funny that it's Rog now using that little ditty...

The first time I saw the Pati actress was in a small role in Dinero, playing, what else?, a fresa. Our heroine Ale, mas marvelous imitating/making fun of her fresa accent and challenging her to a beach volleyball game. Best line-- "Yo pensaba que BEECH! era otra cosa..."

Watch for yourselves: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FOvYZ_DxcS8

Thanks, Jody. I guessed right that Chatita would tell Jesus to use her apartment. [I especially like the little Christmas tree.] About the bra... when I was 16 , I had a car accident . When my old beau came to visit me while I was recuperating at home, I was mortified because my bras were flying like flags on the laundry line on our front porch . [I lived on a farm...no close neighbors.] I will stick with the show for now. FC is so charming and guaypo and sweet. Getting to see that face and bod is reason enough to keep watching.

Still FF through most of the eps. I do like Alma and Jesus together. They make a cute couple.

Pablo: As an amateur film historian, I was curious about your website and checked it out. Looks great. Now I just have to learn Spanish quicker so I can get the most out of it.

Nanette

Alma got a "things that make you go hmmm" look on her face when Jesus mentioned, in response to her comment about her scheduled Thursday date with Rog, that once Vero decided to "schedule" THEIR "dates" things got very boring, which may have ultimately led to their breakup.

Agree with Julia about Maricela. Everyone in the office believes that she's working their just to pass the time, since she doesn't need the money (which she's made sure to emphasize time and again). But the call from her father that upset her has me thinking he's calling her for money and she wants him to stop calling her at work and possibly blow her cover (being poor?). There is definitely something there.

Vero's comment to Elias was that when she was with Jesus he was a hippie who slept on the floor and was very messy, leaving his things lying all over the place. Jesus then said to Elias under his breath that it was actually HER that was the messy one. Yep, she's got issues.
