Amores Verdaderos #105 Tue 4/9/13 Forbidden Passions

Amores Verdaderos Cap 105, 4/9/13—Forbidden Passions

FINALLY IT'S DONE!!

BRIEF SUMMARY: (Events may be condensed or not listed in order.)

* Refried: Vicki thanks the Furry Fornicator for doing a good job at work while she was recovering, but now it's time for him to go back to the guest bedroom. FF had a fit over that. Tries to play the "What will Nikki think?" card. Vicki says Nikki is so involved in her wedding planning she won't notice.

Begging is not suitable for a gentleman. However, this fella is no gentleman.

* Beatriz is telling Gilda/Hilda how well things are going with Salsa-Dude. Guillo is getting used to him and everything. The divorce is coming through soon—the lawyer will deliver the papers to Leo the Low. Cut to lawyer at Leo's place. Neighbor tells him Leo isn't around anymore.

* We return to Chris and Big Angel having their fight. She's accusing him (rightfully) of caring more about Vicki than his own wife. He tries to play the "it's my job" card, but it's not working. He doesn't even have time to answer her phone calls?

* Chris wants to separate. Big Angel begs and begs for her not to do it. On him begging doesn't look too bad because he's Big Angel and he cries so pretty.

Not the news he was wanting to hear.

* The New: Lily is cooing over her plants. Adriana comes in to talk about her birthday. Lily gives Adri some flowers, which she loves. They talk about the Little Gorilla missing Lily's birthday. She says she "understands" but Adri can tell she's hurt. The object of Lily's affections comes in and Lily smiles. Adri gets the picture loud and clear.

* Big Angel begs and begs some more. Chris says come on, anyone can see what's going on. She tells him he overplayed his hand. He assures her he doesn't want to separate. There's no way! She laments how things have changed since they moved to the city. She wants things the way they used to be. She wants him by her because he wants to be, not out of obligation. She finally asks for a . . . divorce. No, no, don't say it! He cries!

* Little Gorilla finds out that he missed Lily's birthday. It was due to the havoc of Vicki's shooting, he explains, apologetically. She "understands" and she leaves. Which leaves Adri to tell him that Lily has the hots for him. Yes, he knew that, he admits sheepishly. But he just sees her as a friend. Adri understands but she feels bad for Lily, whom she feels close to, since she's the same age has her own daughter. *cough*

* Vicki explains to Nikki that FF is in the guest room, due to it being more comfy for her with her recovery. Nikki buys it. Vicki asks her how the wedding planning is going. Okay. Vicki tries to warn Nikki about the seriousness of a step like marriage. Vicki broaches the subject of the Little Gorilla. Nikki goes into full denial mode: "How could a guy like that support me? What kind of job would he get?" Vicki warns her to not be so materialistic. Nikki assures her that Roy is her dream guy. Puke.

It's not going to be that easy to wash that Little Gorilla out of your hair, my dear...

* The supposed "Dream Guy" is loafing on a bench at the tennis court. His coach/buddy/whatever is nagging him to work harder on getting his skills up. Roy the Boy insists he has been. They talk about Roy the Boy's financial troubles and how Nikki and her family are going to be the solution. But Roy the Boy has a problem—he can't stop thinking of this totally hot chava (girl) he met. They were about to "do it" (hacerlo), but she ran off. She's totally different from the girl he's going to marry.

* Big Angel wandering around Vicki's studio, with all the diverse types of artwork that were almost assuredly produced by several different artists. Anyway, Vicki comes in. They don't waste time, but sit down for a heart-to-heart chat. Big Angel lays it on the line. He's struggling with what is right and wrong. He wants to touch her, hug her, kiss her, make her his own! (Whoa, that's getting a little too close for comfort, Big Angel.) But he doesn't touch her, kiss her, or make her his own. They discuss their struggles with this, and they even openly admit their "great love" for each other. But in the end they decide that it's forbidden. They can't do anything. It's not worth the pain and heartache that it would cause their families. It would be hypocritical for Vicki to do to Chris what was done to her by the woman who slept with the FF. And Big Angel doesn't want to throw away 20 years of marriage, after he swore before God that he'd be faithful to his wife. No, they have no choice but to suppress what they feel. Anything else is unacceptable.

Both are equally anguished by this turn of events.

Forbidden even to touch, so it seems...

* The Furry Fornicator is ranting to Salsa-Dude (who totally doesn't give a crap, if you only knew FF) how he was soooo good that he didn't bang any other woman while Vicki was convalescing, and yet she's still giving him the cold shoulder! Sucks to be him, it's so unfair. FF's secretary informs him that Kendra-Ho wants to see him. FF isn't thrilled with that, but Salsa-Dude says she's probably wondering because she hasn't seen him in a while. FF admits that the "report" that our sunglassed dude provided shows that the Ho isn't a Ho but an old fashioned girl with a "clean record." *cough* The Ho brings FF a sonogram of the bebe. He doesn't care, clearly. She turns on the waterworks, after he complains about how he's on the outs with his rich meal ticket wife. He tells the Ho that he'll provide her with an income to help support her and the kid. One thing leads to another and they end up doing the nasty on the office couch. Ewwww.

* More discussion (it seems to go on forever) between Vicki and Big Angel. They agree that they can't do anything, but that doesn't mean that Big Angel should leave his job. They both agree that it would be too sad to not see each other, at least in a work environment. She can't imagine him not being there to protect her from danger. He agrees.

He cries very pretty.

* Chris is crying to Paula about the break-up. Paula advises her to work on fixing the marriage instead of pushing him away. Paula thinks this is very risky. (Wise words, Paula.) Chris says she's doing this because she has pride. She doesn't want to beg. She is confident that when Big Angel realizes he's going to lose her, he'll come to his senses.

* Lily and Big Angel are having a chat on the lawn as she does her plant work. He notices that Polita is giving her the stink eye. She explains that it's due to them both being into the Little Gorilla. Big Angel tries to give her a speech about how this guy isn't for you, and she lets slip that Little Gorilla (Guzman) is married. "QUE?!?!??!" Big Angel explodes. She tries to explain the unique situation of the marriage. Big Angel FREAKS OUT. "It's a sin!" It's like the Little Gorilla and her are brother and sister, so it would be bad for them to be involved! He also warns her that she's a country girl and not like these city girls. He doesn't want any of these slimy city boys (like Roy the Boy *cough*) to take advantage. Oh, if you only knew, Big Angel, if you only knew . . .

Comforting father-daughter hug . . .

* Roy the Boy and Nikki are talking about wedding plans. In 14 days he's got his tournament and he's bragging about how she'll see him thrash all his opponents. However, he hasn't booked the flights or hotels. He spins the excuse that he lost his wallet, no credit cards, and hasn't been in Mexico long enough to get a checking account. Nikki falls for this and writes him a blank check. She's thinking "Whatever, as long as I can stay away from Guzmancito." Roy smirks at being able to mooch the money off her. He mentions going to a club that night, that he "hasn't been to in a long time." She's all for it, calls up some of her friends to invite them. All the while Roy the Boy is remembering meeting Lily at that club.

* Bea is in the copy room at work, with Salsa-Dude hovering over her, as expected. She's telling him that Leo the Low is nowhere to be found, not at work or at his home. Leo the Low is gone? Sounds good to Salsa-Dude. They are cozily chatting with each other as Kendra-Ho wanders in and does the "am I interrupting?" thing. With Bea out of earshot, Kendra-Ho thanks him for cooking up her clean background report for FF to see. After the Ho has left, Bea makes this cute scene where she's soooo afraid that she might get into trouble at work for being seen with Salsa-Dude, like they've been acting improperly (which they haven't). Salsa is like "Whatever!" and tells her not to worry.

Don't worry, Bea, your innocent interactions with the Salsa-Dude are nothing to worry about. If you only knew what just happened on the Furry Fornicator's couch, however. . .

* The Little Gorilla oversees the installation of security cameras on the Balvanera mansion.

* Adriana and Vicki are having a heart-to-heart chat on the couch at the home. Adri says she's feeling optimistic about finding her daughter. Vicki confesses that she's "in love with another man" but refuses to reveal his identity.

Smiles, for a change . . .

* Vicki further explains to Adri that her brush with near death helped her admit this love to herself, but that it is a love without hope. Then the sisters talk about how Adri should move into the house. Adri is ambivalent because it would mean living with Anibal (she can't bring herself to call him her dad) but Vicki says, if you're here, maybe you can find some clues about the location of your daughter. Adri agrees with this logic, and says she'll move in! Much joy for Vicki.

* The Little Gorilla interrupts to give Vicki some paperwork. She requests that the piano teacher return to give her lessons again. Guzmancito stiffly replies that she can't return. Anibal (who has just arrived) adds that Paula got a fulltime job. "Que lastima!" (what a pity) says Vicki. It's then revealed that Adri is going to move in. The Little Gorilla seems genuinely pleased to have his new friend, Adri, staying at the estate. They exchange smiles. Anibal is pleased too, and folds her into an awkward welcoming hug. Adri seems unsure but goes along with it, as Vicki smiles approvingly.

Smiling at her buddy Guzmancito.

He smiles back, genuinely pleased. What would Nikki think if she saw?

Awkward!

We end this episode with Big Angel hesitantly telling Lily that he and Chris both "decided" to separate for a while. Big Angel is very careful to make it sound like they both decided, when we know in fact that it's all Chris's idea. Lily absolutely melts down over this news. Completely collapses. Vicki comes in and, alarmed, asks what's going on. When Lily tells her that her parents are separating, Vicki has this sad but also ambivalent look on her face. Big Angel looks stoic.

COMPLETE. MELTDOWN.

END OF EPISODE!!

Avances: Don't remember, but it is MUST SEE TV!!!!

Thanks Elvira for a great beginning to whet our appetite. I don't think it's a good idea to force a separation hoping Angel will pine away for her. Absence rarely makes the heart grow fonder, and Angel's heart is already slipping away.
Wow, lots of deluded people in this capitulo.

Hey Elvira! Thanks for your preview/overview. The JA/Vicki seen was sad and I'm such a sucker whenever EY cries. Chris stop listening to your boss.

Elvira,

Thanks for the preview, can't wait for the rest of your always wonderful, marvelous recap.

Karen,

So with you about EY when he cries, sigh! I too want Cris to stop listening to Kendho. This whole thing is soooo very sad. Cris feels this is the right way, but it is soooo the wrong way, I agree with Cheryl there.

Oh, and I just knew that Ms Vikki and the Angel wouldn't cheat and that they would take the high ground. He kissed her hands, but that is as far as it went. I really want them to be together, can you imagine what it is like with all the pent up passion???? But they have to resolve their marriages before I want to see that.

Elvira: Perfect, fitting title.

Another sad episode. Karen, EY's tears were too much alone, combined with Erika's - pitiful.

Madelaine, I was a little relieved that declarations were made but thankfully, nothing further (I don't consider the kissing of hands unpardonable). I think I'm going to trust JA and Vicky will continue to love from afar...

Cheryl: "Absence rarely makes the heart grow fonder, and Angel's heart is already slipping away". Great comment.

To your post of yesterday Carlos, although JA and Vicky may not be discussing intellectual matters per say, they have excellent communication skills and grown closer by shared mutual interests and life changing events (including saving each others' lives)that have tightly bonded them.

Diana

What happened to the Lilli we knew? The little flower child is ridiculously reactive. Come on, she's 18 and throws a tantrum because her parents are separating. She's turning into a whining, overly dramatic, clinging vine, like her mama.

Marea Primavera

Thanks for the overview recap Elvira. Looking forward to your additions later.

I'm ready for some forward movement of the plot. I was getting a bit restless last night. Or perhaps it was just anticipation waiting to AB to start.

When JA swore to Cris that he would leave his job and the city, I thought, why is he lying? He has basically already sworn he will never leave Vicky's side. How's he going to be in two places at once? I bet he wishes he could clone himself.

Marea Primavera- Lili's response to her parents' separation isn't suprising. She's a Balvanera, after all. :) It's also a similar reaction to the one Nikki had about her parents, although she is over 4 years older than Lili and also knew her dad had cheated on her mom. I hope she calms down quickly though.

We're at over 100 episodes. Time for some drastic changes. People I want to see show up soon to shake up the plot: Candelaria; Vicky's old flame; and Adri's old flame.

People I never want to see again: Leo

Elvira - Thank you! You already hit the highlights, so screen caps will be the icing on the cake.

So Roy-ero's handouts have already begun. WAKE UP NIKKI and smell the fraud.

I really, really, truly like Adriana and Guzman's scenes together. Too bad they most likely will not end up together. If Guzman had a sane brain they might, but highly unlikely.

ITA - JA and Vikki need to resolve their marital issues before they even kiss. Otherwise, this story descends into the usual telenovelaland plot.

Kendra and the F'er on his desk in his office... eeew! indeed. Why doesn't someone walk in unannounced and catch them?!?

Doris:

Loved your line, Nikki wake up and smell the fraud, lol. That so sums it up.

I too wish someone would walk in while FF and Kendho are gettin' busy. That office will need gallons of industrial strength cleaner!!!!

Vivi:

I lol'd at your line about the Angel cloning himself. He really would have to wouldn't he? He so wants to be with Cris and Ms Vikki at the same time and that no longer works. What to do????

Just when I thought "at least Viewerville no longer has to see Nelson and Kendra getting it on anymore," there they are at it again. Yuck!

Agree Little Orchid's bawling was over the top. She behaved a lot better the last time her parents broke up.

Marea Primavera and Neice:

I so agree with you both about Lili, but I think it may be the circumstances she finds herself in right now. Nothing is going right for her. Her bestie, Polita, isn't talking to her, over Frankie, Frankie only wants to be her friend and now her parents are separating. Poor thing is at odds and ends. This is one more bad thing.

Nikki on the other hand is so busy planning for the wedding and her Mama Vikki kinda lied to her about why the FF isn't in their bedroom. If she knew what was really going on she'd have a hizzy fit.

I too can't wait for something to happen. I too want Candelaria to show up finally. Or one of the old loves of Ms Vikki or Adri. Now that would be some fireworks.

Madelaine,

"Nothing is going right for her."

And think about who's out there just aching to make it all better...

Maybe she could benefit from a serious chat with the snails.

Carlos

Carlos

Carlos:

Oh, you are so right, I tend to forget about ole Roller Boy in little Orchid's equation, cause I so don't want her to go there, even though he does. I too wish she would go see Opalina and see what the snails have in store for her ; )

Elvira---you're a big help already.
Thanks.

Diana---Kisses in the intro are not kisses from afar.

FF didn"t have the little blue pill last night. Has his "problem" been cured?

Vivi---Leo! I almost forgot about him. Trouble is comming soon.

Nikki and Roller Boy aren't even married yet and he is getting money from her. Que?

Boy Roy is still thinking about Lily. Nikki is going to find him in Little Orchid's arms sometime soon.

Marea Primavera---Seperation and divorce is always hurtful for all involved. Lily was raised to believe that marriage is a loving,
lifelong commitment. The bad news that she recieved had to have been crushingly devastating to her. So no, I don't think that she was over the top last night.
the gringo

Gringo:

But, but, that is the intro. They are often, and sometimes deceiving. It could be at the end, in the middle, we don't know when. I just have to defend the Angel and Ms Vikki ;)

Madelaine - Angel laid some smoking words on Miss Vickie last night, like "I'd want to make you mine" and "I don't know what to do with this big love I'm feeling." With sweet nothings like that, how long can these two hold out? :D -- know, they're above reproach.

oops, typo. I meant "I know they're above reproach."

Elvira, thanks for getting the conversation going today.

So I think ...

If Balzac can love two men at once, then why can't Arriaga love two women?

The name of the show is True Loves, right?

The Big Guy does love Cris. She's the mother of his child. Oh wait ... she's not, is she?

So if you thought Lili overreacted to hearing that her parents are separating, wait until she hears that her parents aren't her parents!

By the way, I liked the way the Big Guy didn't put the responsibility for the separation on Cris even though it was she who initiated it.

I'm here, I'm here! For some reason I can't get off my duff today to complete the recap. I will consume some caffeine and get started soon, however!

"... why can't Arriaga love two women?"
Exactly. Bigamists and polygamists do it all the time. It is possible, just not accepted by society and culture.

Novela Maven: "So if you thought Lili overreacted to hearing that her parents are separating, wait until she hears that her parents aren't her parents!"

Only you could make me smile today. And you did!

Gringo, I think Madelaine and I are on the same wave length - here and now, JA and Vicky have done nothing really wrong. Inappropriate perhaps but...

The intro may or may not be a teaser. Still many epis to go! :)

Diana

Aw shucks, Diana. And here I thought the money line was thinking of Arriaga and Balzac as a couple of dogs buffeted by the winds of fate ... :)

So true, Doris. In our culture we go for serial polygamy ... or do I mean cereal polygamy, (a coupon for a free ToyBoy enclosed)?

Elvira - after a great precap, your snarky recap, screencaps and captions were a real treat this afternoon. Thank you!!!

Roy-ero's biggest problem in life, after being a #1 class-A jerk, is his sense of entitlement. Nothing would please me more than seeing him scrubbing restrooms with a toothbrush for food money.

JA and Vikki's relationship is the exact polar opposite of the F'er and Kendra's.

Cris and JA have reminded me of the old LHJ magazine column --- "Can This Marriage Be Saved?"

Elvira - Muchas gracias. Love the recap and pics, especially Little Orchid and her papa. Thanks for all the details.

Thanks everyone! It was an interesting episode. Looking forward to tonight's installment!

I admit I was surprised that Roy the Boy is thinking about Lily so much. Interesting turn of events . . .

The recap is finished and all screencaps are up! Whew!

Loved your recap Elvira! Thanks!

All I can say is I'm so disappointed in Arriaga, he doesn't want to break his wedding vows with his wife, CRISTNA, but he is already breaking them by lying to her. He tells her it's his job, he's doing what he sis supposed to do. Smh, I'm sure now Cristina could handle the truth, I don't care if he doesn't want a divorce, he's already broken his vows, too late. He needs to be completely honest. The worst that could happen has happened, they've split. Be a man and tell her the truth.

This wedding talk/planning is really making me nervous you guys, really nervous. HELP NIKKI SOMEBODY, ANYBODY!!!

Team Nikki/Guzmancito

NovaelaMaven- "If Balzac can love two men at once, then why can't Arriaga love two women?" I disagree, not if it means causing heartache and pain to one if not both. He needs to make up his mind, which it seems he has, he's just being a heartbreaker/liar in my opinion. I am currently not a fan of Arriaga right now. And Victoria has been in that position before she should know better. Sorry guys, JUST MY OPINION.

Team Nikki/Guzmancito

"On him begging doesn't look too bad because he's Big Angel and he cries so pretty."

Yes! There it is in a nutshell!

Thanks so much, Elvira. This is marvelous. I've said it before -- I love the way you tell the story. And your selection of images plus the witty captions -- superb.

I'm looking forward to tonight's installment too. Just hope we get to see Balzac make another fashion statement.

I SO want Nikki to marry Roy - she deserves him!

Anonymous 6:00- You're have to be being sarcastic.

Team Nikki/Guzmancito

Elvira:

I so agree with NovelaMaven about your whole recap, the way you recap and the screencaps. You and Aribeth are both treasures for all the wonderful screencaps you put up, muchimas gracias!

Victoria:

We will agree to disagree about poor Angel and Ms Vikki, they are fighting it though, and they didn't jump into bed and do the deed, jus' sayin' : )

I agree with you about Nikki though. I can't stand the fact that the Roller Boy, he may be the same social class, but Guzmi is so worth ten of Roller boy. I don't want Nikki marrying Roller boy just to get back at Guzmi. I wish she'd take the chance, tell the family she loves Guzmi and the consequences be damned.

Victoria in Texas---I don't think that anonymous 6:00 is being sarcastic. Why? Because at [this point] they both are pretty disgusting---that may change at some point in the future, but right now, they do deserve each other.

Also Victoria---Don't worry about the wedding. Nikki is going to find her Boy Toy in the arms of Little Orchid and when that happens, it will be the Guzmancito all the way.
the gringo

Great recap and wonderful pics Elvira!

Mads- I don't think the issue for Nikki is Guzman's class and going against her family. In fact, she knows she has her mother's blessing. It's that she is stupid enough to believe that Guzman was only with her only for the money. She doesn't trust him.

Madelaine- you have at least understand where I'm coming from with the Cristina, Arriaga, and Victoria situation.

Gringo- Ouch, with referring to Nikki as disgusting. Maybe her attitude sometimes. I'm sure hoping something if anything happens to keep Nikki from marrying Roller boy.

Team Nikki/Guzmancito

Vivi:

That's really what I meant, what you said, but by possibly marrying Roller Boy she is making Guzmi jealous and she knows it. I think, even though she doesn't quite trust him, thanks to Kendho, she is wishing Guzmi would do something to stop her from marrying Roller boy.

Wonderful recap, and oh, those screencaps... Thank you, Elvira!

Thanks Elvira. Great recap.
Ouch, Nikki doesn't deserve Roy!!!!Nobody deserves Roy. As I have mentioned day before, I don't even want Roy for Lilli. Vivi, I like your explanation regarding Nikki's issue about Guzmancito. It's true that she doesn't trust him due to Kendho's lies about him. If only Nikki would ask his side of the story or even tell him what Kendho said.
I too think that Lilli's meltdown really is over the top. She should listen to Bea's and Paula's advice to let her parents deal with their relationship. She is no longer a kid.
