Amores Verdaderos #134 Mon 5/20/13 Mother daughter reunion, Anyballs sets rules on Nil-Brains, Nil-Brains drops KenDrat as a bad apple, Angel wins round no. ?? on Nil-Brains
Frankie at airport ticket desk, mopes about losing Nikki 'para siempre'...
Vicky at her study, Angel comes in, her bags are ready. She will have Salsero take her to airport. Vicky says we will say goodbye here. Angel asks her to take care, won't be there to do it himself. Vicky says will miss you so much, will need you to feel safe. He says a part of his heart will be with her, she says ditto. They can barely look in each other's eyes. He kisses her hands and leaves... after he gets to hallway he lets go his tears and his smirks of pain. She stays crying her heart out inside, asking herself 'what am I going to do without you?'
Anyballs gets the DNA results. He barely gets to read that she is a true Balvanera when who comes toward him, but Lilli herself! he seems to have a bit of a stroke and she runs to care for him. (you must have the belly empty like my grandma says). She tells him she will try to convince her grandma to come live with her at the city. Anyballs says good idea, she should be near you. Lilli wonders if the sparks of Anyballs feelings for Cande are still there. Anyballs says 'as always, the love destiny of a man is in the hands of a woman'. He tells her she should take some gardening (orticultura) classes, she worries about the money, he offers to pay for it on her mother's memory. She was so nice. Lilli thanks him for his support. My dad is also studying online to complete his studies of agronomy. He says her dad has many 'sides'. Lilli says his best is fatherhood.
Angel and Frankie on phone, Angel sorry Frankie's trip did not turn out as he wanted. Frankie says it hurts bad, but now will set his sights on finalizing his divorce from Ambar. At least now she has a lover, and that is not you! (Angel loses it yelling for him not to talk about 'la senora' that way! Respect her!) Maybe it is her old lover, Carlos! As an actor, he did great. After saying i was the love of his life, he turned out the biggest liar. Vicky says she hears her and feels Nikki is talking about someone else. Better stop thinking about that and try to enjoy your marriage. Nikki says you are right. Vicky says think of what you have and not on what you left behind. Nikki does not want to dissappoint Anyballs. Vicky says don't do it for others, we are your family and we love you no matter what. Whatever you decide, you can be sure we all will support it.

Angel says 'i warned you that each time you insulted Ms Victoria, you would get what you deserved!' Nil-Brains brags that he is still Vicky's legal husband. Angel says dont worry, the Senora already requested for that to change very soon. Nil-Brains rants that he will never give Vicky the divorce! Angel says . I am here to protect Senora Vicky, even from you! Nil-Brains finally leaves, groaning to Angel that 'you will never hurt me again in your life!'.
At B kitchen, JM, Toma and Polita, JM says ' Poor Madame Longoria, she is half paralized'. Toma replies ' what you plant is what you harvest, she wasn't a good person'. Here comes angry Nil-Brains, insulting Toma for just asking if he will eat now. Dances follows him to the main study, tells him Odette is in hospital, and shows him a video someone took of the argument between her and KenDrat about Stevie's sexual preferences. Nil-Brains (always thinking of himself) says it is a shameful situation. Dances adds that while the scandal is out, better not allowing anyone to relate him to KenDrat. Nil-Brains gets cell phone call from Gilda, he cancels his meeting for the afternoon, too busy. Nil-Brain leaves, Dances says 'this move will kick you right in the ass, little foxy lady'.
Anyballs visits Odiosa at hospital, getting some payback for the visit she gave him at the B house that caused him his crisis. He says 'Look at you, the almighty Odette Longoria, the one everyone feared, the one who stepped on anyone, now you have become a sad despicable rag. Very few people survive a stroke, and those who do are affected/crippled permanently (well, the odds of that depend on how fast they get treatment). Sand ending for the queen of evil. The ending you deserved. Even when you were healthy, your agency could never compete with mine. Now you all will get ruined. I promise that if you make it out of here, I will send you the prettiest and best wheelchair... (leaves laughing, while she is desperate growling)

Nil-Brains takes the opportunity to continue his insults, now suggesting that Angel has taken on Adri as lover at the absence of Vicky. Anyballs stands up and tells him to shut up. Nil-Brains leaves after having spit his 'truth'-venom. Adri tells Anyballs she will go see a movie by a famous director, 'Joan Constantine'. Ever heard of him? Anyballs says no and complains she leaves him to eat alone. She says not alone, Tomasina is here. Adri and Angel leave, Anyballs stays thinking.
Back to Miami hotel, Nikki keeps whinning about KenDrat's lies... Vicky thought bubbles 'if you only knew what she did to me as well'. She will get blamed for Odiosa's paralysis. Venting opinions about other's sexual preferences in public is not politically correct. With all this scandal it is not convenient that i be seen with you, until the smoke clears on the incident. KenDrat nags that now she has no job and she is expecting his daughter. He offers to send her a monthly check with Dances... She nags again, but he yells at her that he won't see her again until the waters return to their place. He leaves. KenDrat grimes through teeth, 'don't think you will get rid of us (her and baby) so easily. you will marry me or i will no longer be KenDrat Ferreti (wasn't your name Macaria?)'
Elsewhere, Frankie and Ambar are in agreement to get a divorce on mutual agreement to speed things up. She notices he is deflated, she offers to pay a listening ear. He tells her about working for the B's, and breaking the no. 1 rule of bodyguards, fell in love with client. But she married a tennis pro. Ambar knows him enough to know once Nikki married another, he left her for good. He says his intention was to forget her, but she called him from Miami and he traveled to get her back but the trip only proved to him that what they had is over. Hoping time and distance will help her forget her.

I really enjoyed seeing JA put Nelson in that hold, and Nelson dumping Kendra. And Anibal left all alone at the table. Yay! But everything else was pretty much a downer.
I am glad that Guzman located Amber in NY and is finally getting that divorce, but it seems that he and Nikki are in for a long, depressing separation. Same with Vicky and JA.
I'm glad that Lili will finally get a chance to study horticulture, but she is getting the short end of the stick in what she truly deserves as a Balvanera. She should not be their employee. Shame on Anibal.

Loathing Anibal even more than I thought possible. Still concealing Lili's identity and prolonging Adrian's heartbreak is unconsionable. His cruel taunting of Odette - unforgiveable given the circumstances.
Oh how I enjoyed JA's effortless handling of Nelson and putting him in his place. I would have said "manhandling" but Nelson is hardly a man.
Now that so many know about Bea's pregnancy test results, I suspect someone will tell Santino eventually. Of course Bea is right that Santino will kill Leo when he does find out. Of course, not a down side to that all as far as I'm concerned.
It appears JA and Vicky (my favorite couple by far) are in for quite a lengthy separation. I think it was a wise decision to cast someone who is very different physically from JA for the role of Carlos - Lisardo seems an excellent choice. Loathing Anibal even more than I thought possible. Still concealing Lili's identity and prolonging Adrian's heartbreak is unconsionable. His cruel taunting of Odette - unforgiveable given the circumstances.
Oh how I enjoyed JA's effortless handling of Nelson and putting him in his place. I would have said "manhandling" but Nelson is hardly a man.
Now that so many know about Bea's pregnancy test results, I suspect someone will tell Santino eventually. Of course Bea is right that Santino will kill Leo when he does find out. Of course, not a down side to that all as far as I'm concerned.
It appears JA and Vicky (my favorite couple by far) are in for quite a lengthy separation. I think it was a wise decision to cast someone who is very different physically from JA for the role of Carlos - Lisardo seems an excellent choice. I have never seen him as a galan so this will be very interesting.

For a man that professes his family is most important Anyballs SHOULD acknowledge Lili. I agree with Vivi, she should have her place in the Balvanera family. I loved the Godfather's reaction to what Anyballs told him. The Godfather is right, Nikki will not be a happy camper when she finds out, especially now she thinks that Frankie is with Lili. The Angel will be devastated however.
The Ms Vikki and JA goodbye was so sad. I really like how he kissed her hands. But maybe distance will make the heart grow fonder.
Really liked the JA/FF smackdown. When will FF learn that JA can knock him over with a feather. I liked the wrist hold the Angel gave FF. I'm surprised the FF wasn't yelling for his Mama, lol.

Vicky and JA aren't lacking any love between them. What's standing in the way is JA's guilt about Cris. The separation from Vicky (time), and then an possible rival (Carlos), may be what he needs to get past the guilt and finally pursue Vicky openly.

Let me just say, I'm glad it was confirmed that Nikki and Roy did not "sleep" together. I like that Nikki is writing the letters to express her emotions, better than falling back on her disorder.

Even though (or perhaps... because) I adore Odette, I chortled (men don't giggle) throughout her hospital scene which you described so very well.
First she is being watched over by the son that she now despises who is shortly joined in his vigil by his lover (the cause of her disdain for her son). Then Kendra (the trigger for her current condition) flounces in to gush over her as her blood boils as she is unable to respond to the beautiful tauntress.
But then the best for last... she is visited by her old (in every sense of the word) nemesis, Aníbal who indulges in a little gloating and prophecy (does he have his own herd of snails?) and ends by promising to buy her the bestest wheelchair ever.
Probably not her best day.
I'm uplifed and encouraged. No way will the writers allow Odette to die without a chance at a little revenge.

Until I actually see Anibal working on some plan, I am skeptical that he will find a way to push Nelson out of the company, the house, and their lives. All his energy seems to be focused on covering his own butt when it comes to his misdeeds towards his daughters and family. I did enjoy him taunting Odette because, well, turnaround is fair play. Odette needs to learn a lesson.

Barbara- I would like Nikki to use this time away to actually figure out what she wants to do with her life, and I'm not speaking about her love life. She is the only person in her household who doesn't work or have some sort of profession/passion (other than Guzman). Despite her clever way with words, she's sort of boring and lame. At least, that's what I would think if I were a hardworking person like Guzman, Lili, Poli, well, anyone, and met her and found out she does NOTHING and is passionate about NOTHING.
Audrey- I don't believe Nikki mentioned the brother-sister thing to Vicky. She said marriage was harder than she thought, but that she and Roy are getting along well.

Vivi--Regrettably, Nikki hasn't been prepared for any career. They wanted her as a model at Meta-I at the beginning, but she didn't want people looking at her since she was too "fat."
Her family members (and that includes Tomasina) have all been enablers, showering her with love and attention, her specialness as a princesa, letting her lead an indolent life of pool parties, swimming lessons, antro parties, piano lessons (that's a haha), shallow friends, etc.--until Guzman arrived in her life. She doesn't quite know what to make of him, he was so different from her friends. She does need to mature and we see that coming in her "Letters to Guzman." ITA, though, she needs to stop using her fresa phrases on people.
Did anyone notice that she's printing her letters? There's been some controversy lately regarding the teaching, or not-teaching cursive handwriting at the elementary school level? The schools are so paranoid about their students doing well on the NoChild tests, they've eliminated everything extra from the curricula. I guess we have proof positive now.

I noticed from the close up of Nikki's "letter" that she put circles instead of dots over the "i".

I was disappointed that Vicky didn't at least mention to Nikki that she could get a divorce or annulment if she felt the marriage was a mistake.
Yay, finally an Amber Alert! (good one.) She seemed nicer than I had imagined based on Guzmi's trauma and "I will never love again" drama. They seem like good friends. When did that happen? And she is eager to get the divorce because she wants to get married again, yet she didn't return his calls before? Whatever.
Why would Vicky be upset that JA and Adri are spending time together? Vicky specifically arranged for him to be her bodyguard.
I was taught cursive handwriting in elementary school, but I haven't written in cursive since the 7th grade. I print everything, including my signature. I don't really see the point of cursive. At least I don't write in text shortcuts :).

I was taught cursive handwriting in elementary school, but I haven't written in cursive since the 7th grade. I print everything, including my signature. I don't really see the point of cursive. At least I don't write in text shortcuts :).
At this point I want Nikki to woman-up and make her own decisions without other people telling her what she should do, including Vicky. Vicky told her hat no matter what choices she makes, her family will always love her. That should settle that matter. Nikki should have enough brain power to know whether or not she should stay married to Roy.

About Odiosa's stroke and her current status at hospital... it is well known that you have great odds to get full recovery from stroke if you get treated within 1-3 hrs after the stroke begins, and I think she got med treatment quickly, so she might just be on a slow road to recovery, but when she does... WATCH OUT Kendra and Anyballs!!
I share the loathing of Anyballs for his giving the crumbs to Lilliana when she should be a family member through and through.
I also like the choice of Lizardo as the new male attractive competition for Angel, Joan/Carlos?

Would Anibal be any more likely to treat Lili as a granddaughter rather than an employee if she was NOT Adri's daughter? I wonder if he would treat her better if she were simply Cristina's daughter and not "la bastarda" de Adriana and her good-for-nothing, poor "Don Nadie?"

Doris, I did notice Eiza's tee shirt and thought the same thing, that it was perfect for her. i want one of those too! but i am nowhere near as confused as she is right about now.
