PASION PROHIBIDA pt1

Bruno visits Eli and is pissed that she hacked into his email, and sent Nina to the House of Horrors. Eli says she is doing everything for love. Bruno says love is pure clean. Eli isn’t like that at all. When she asks if Bruno fell in love with his lover, he tells her to get over him and stay out of his life.

Yair shows up at Franciscas ranch with Ariels clothes. Yair says he feels sorry for Ariel and blames Bianca. Francis tells him to mind his business and make sure the other servants do the same. Her brother and sis-in-laws problems aren’t Yairs. Before leaving he says Bianca is not a good woman, and it’s not an opinion.

In Orlando Cami (her cousins are fixing her hair) calls Yair. She is excited about her return to Miami. She asks Yair if he wants a gift. He says her return is a good enough gift. He gives her a goodbye kiss and turns on the Pandora radio. And heads home.

Bianca returns to the House of Horrors with groceries. She has a flashback to when she arrived at her ranch with her father There was another car parked in the driveway and Biancas father went inside to investigate and out came Ivan. Bianca sets the wine on the table looks at herself in the mirror and has another flashback. Flav takes Bianca to a mirror “Look. I know that woman. The same passion, rage, and ambition. You say youre a lot like your father But no baby. Your just like me. Im so proud ” When the flashback is over, Bianca grabs the mirror and smashes it.

Pen calls Flav to inform that Bianca is okay. They still don’t know where she is but at least shes okay. Flav repeats this to Deniz. She tells Deniz that Bianca is still immature and can’t solve marital problems. She is with Bianca to help her. As Deniz says that maybe she (Flav) is making things worse, Kat comes in with flowers for Flav.

Ariel remembers when Bianca apologizes for suggesting divorce. She doesn’t want to lose him and wants to pretend it never happened. But Ariel says is she mentions divorce or implies it he will divorce her end of story. (She could take half his money!)

Deniz says she didn’t know Flav had a lover. Flav says it must be a mistake. Kat says there was no card and sets the flowers on a shelf. Deniz speculates that it’s a secret admirer. She tells Flav to leave the flowers on top of the shelf. When Deniz leaves Kat reveales there was a card but kept it secret. She gives the card to Flav. It from the Houston Medical Center. She tells Kat to get rid of the flowers. She does.

Ariel calls Bruno. Bruno says he just returned to Miami. Ariel wants to talk to him. Bruno says he is tired. Ariel asks him to go to Franciscas ranch tomorrow. He is temporarily staying over there and needs Brunos opinion regarding a “Fight” he had with Bianca.

PASION PROHIBIDA

Santi asks Nina if Paula sent him a kiss. Nina tells Santa that Paula wanted him to date girls his age. Santi says that’s a lie and tells Nina that Ariel argued again with Bianca. Nina asks if its true. Santi asks if Bianca left as well. Flav shows up and says that Bianca is just hanging out with friends. Nina wants to call Ariel but Deniz says he will call them.

Bianca is getting ready to clean the glass shards from the mirror. Areil calls her and asks that she not hang him up. Just listen. He wants to know what went wrong in their relationship. Bianca says he knows what happened. Ariel regrets what he did but what happened before that? Why did she stop seeing him as her husband? Bianca says she will explain everything soon, but not now.

Bruno is back at the Piamonte mansion when Eli gives him a text message. He responds back. (Im not gettin this). Yair shows up and tells Bruno he knows what he did. Bruno asks what is he talking about. Yair says that Bruno knows what he is talking about, he is just scared to hear the answer. Bruno asks that Yair take his clothes to his room. “Your room or balcony?” asks Yair

Santi shows up in the living room announcing that Bruno returned. Deniz and Flav had no idea. When they ask Nina if she knew she storms out in the hall.

Bruno asks Yair to repeat what he said. Yair says that Bruno can enjoy the weather on the balcony and he will take the suitcase into Brunos room. Santi shows up to hug Bruno (I swear Bruno and Yair were seconds away from getting into a fistfight). Nina shows up. Yair asks her if she will hug Bruno too when she replies that she will wait for him. She fakes happiness and hugs Bruno.

At the House of Horrors, Bianca has a flashback to when Ariel proposes to her. Bianca takes the wedding ring off her hand.

Ariel tells Francis that he will talk to Bruno tomorrow. When Francis asks why he cant trust her, Ariel says he wont tell Bruno everything. Just drop a few clues. He tells Francis what he did was very bad that she probably couldn’t see him in the face if she knew what he did.

Bruno is in the living room with Flav, Deniz, Nina, and Santi. He “learns” about the “fight” between Bianca and Ariel. Bruno says he left to escape a problem only to return and find a bigger one.

Santi and Nina are with Bruno in his bedroom. Santi thinks Ariel left because he was sad that Bruno left. He asks if Ariel and Bianca will divorce. Bruno says that wont happen. Nina says he doesn’t know that. Bruno shoos Santi out. He asks Nina if the clan suspects anything. She doesn’t think so. Bruno is still mad that she visited him without permission. Nina kisses him good night. (Its still daytime) Nina hopes Ariel and Biancas conflict isn’t serious. Nina goes to her room and Deniz interrogates her about hanging out with Paula. Nina eventually says she is tired from walking and needs to rest.

LA PATRONA – VIERNES – Part 1

Rodrigo Balmaceda is questioning Verónica Dantés (rather aggressively, methinks) and asks if Lucho is her boyfriend or her accomplice. She doesn’t lose her cool, though. She tells him that Lucho was a con man before, but he had reformed. She says the real criminals are closer to him than he appears to be able to see. He doesn’t like this and looms over her asking if she wants to make a formal complaint about Antonia Guerra. Vero says not now, but one day the witnesses will speak up.

When Vero comes out, Alejandro is there. She tells him what happened to Francisca. He leans in and tells her how much he misses her.

Lagarto’s replacement (Gonzalo?) comes to arrest Lucas at La Dorada. David tells him Lucas is in the garage and go get him!

It’s Alejandro’s turn to be questioned by Rod. Rod asks about Gabriela Suárez. Alejandro wants to know why he’s so interested in her and is told she’s key to the whole thing. Ale says Gabriela was a complex person, but at the same time very simple. She only loved three men in her life: El Tigre, her son David and he himself. She would have given her life for any one of the three.

Lucas swears he’s innocent and asks Antonia to not let them arrest him. She doesn’t help.

Gastón is distraught beside Francisca’s bedside. He says he’s afraid he’s destined to be alone. Max comes in and makes a fine apology to Gastón. He says that, as Tigre’s friend, no one is better than Gastón to care for Francisca.

Lucho brags to Irene about his sexual prowess, telling her what a great time she had! When she says, if he’s so hot, how come La Dantés dumped him, he says Vero never tried him. If she had, it would have been a different story! He calls her duraznito (peaches). She tries to blame him for seducing her, but he says she practically ate him alive! Lucho is SO much more fun when he’s not mooning over Vero!

Alejandro finds the mug shot of Lucho at the comisería and takes it with him.

The increasingly disgusting Inés shows up to seduce Ricardo in his office. Cripes, the guy has absolutely no ability to resist her at all!

Meanwhile Patti has come to take Lucía to the park along with Ricardito and Irene has the gall to accuse Patti of being a loose woman.

The witnesses at the cemetery pick Lucas out of the low-tech SPDO lineup at the comisería (a bunch of photos on a desk) as the one who threw the rock at Francisca.

Max sobs at his mother’s bedside, begging her forgiveness for his egotism. She wakes up and clearly does so.

Patti has brought Lucía and Ricardito to Ricardo’s office and has brought him a Popsicle as well. She sees Inés coming out of his office wearing a shit-eating grin. Patti leaves with the children.

PASION PROHIBIDA pt3

Bruno calls Bianca. He tells her that he told Eliana off. Bianca seems jealous and Bruno tells her that he had to talk to Eli in person because she would not take him seriously by phone. Bianca says Ariel called her Bruno says Ariel called him as well and wants to talk to him tomorrow. Bianca tells Bruno that Ariel wants the truth and he will learn it today. Bianca is tired of playing the perfect wife she doesn’t want to see her mothers face in a mirror, she wants to be free. Bruno is able to talk her out of it. Bianca asks that he visit her soon.

Ninas phone rings (How the hell did it end up in the hallway?!). Deniz picks up and its Paula on the receiving end. Deniz asks about the mall trip and its clear that Nina lied. Deniz wants to know why Nina lied. Nina gets mad and says she a grown woman and Denoz should stay out of her Business. I thought Deniz would slap Nina but she just apologizes and leaves.

Cele and Tere ask Kat who sent Flav the flowers. Kat tells them to stop being nosy. Salo says Kat is twice as bad. Tere thinks the flowers are from a secret admirer. Yair says Flav wouldn’t be the only one with a secret lover. He finds it strange that Bruno showed up without telling anyone. Salo tells Yair to stay pout of the gossip department and tells the women to stop as well. This provokes laughter from Kat. Salo says he is serious.

Nina tells Bruno that Deniz caught her lying. She will be milked for information. Bruno says she cant spill the beans. Nina doesn’t like lying to Deniz but Bruno says this is all Ninas fault. Nina fears that Eli will publicize the House of Horrors. Bruno says his lawyers will stop that. He tells her for once in her life just listen to her.

In Yairs bedroom, Deniz says she feels bad for making Nina mad even though she lied. Yair blames it on Bruno and says the cousins are bad liars. Deniz wants to know what Yair is talking about. Yair says he didn’t see anyone. Deniz says he was certain about what he saw. Yair says maybe he needs glasses. Deniz says he needs courage. Cele shows up and tells Yair she cant believe he didn’t tell her about Camis return.

Flav and Pen are talking on the phone. Flav was surprised by Brunos return. Everyone was except Nina. Flav thinks Bruno didn’t leave Miami and Nina knew. Pen doubts this, but Flav still thinks Nina loves Bruno.

Bianca has a flashback to when Pen decribes Bruno to her. Later that night Bianca calls Brunoto suggest that hey talk to Ariel together. He doesn’t want to. Bianca says to at least let him know if he wont show up.

Santi feels lonely without his dad. Flav says that his sister, Deniz Bruno and Flav herself are there for him. Bruno shows up and Flav asks him about L.A. she then adds that Nina wasn’t too excited with his return. Bruno says Nina hides her feeling really well. Tere shows up and says dinner is served.

At the Hospital, Maria, Elis friend, called Bruno to say Eli tried to kill herself.....

LA PATRONA – VIERNES – Part 2

Rod tells Lucas that, if he doesn’t sign the confession, he’ll turn him out into the street and tell Max he’s been released. Lucas signs quickly.

Gastón is with Francisca, and she tells him to ask her that sweet question again so she can say yes.

Poncia is very frisky after her visit with Constanza and Vero. She tells Antonia to get her own coffee if she doesn’t like the temperature. And, when threatened with the confession stored in the safe, she tells her to go ahead and bring it on because they’ll be in neighboring cells if she does! After Poncia leaves the room, Antonia again says to herself that Cecilia’s child can’t be born and that she has to hurry.

Gastón tells Max in the hospital waiting room that he loved Tigre like a brother. Does Max want Fran to be alone after he leaves or does he want Gastón to care for her? Max simply hugs him.

Vero has come to see Francisca, who tells her about Tigre’s visit from the Great Beyond in the operating room. She said he said she was stupid for not understanding his signals and that he would be happy if she loved Gastón. She tells Vero that Tigre was very proud of his daughter and that justice should happen now!

Antonia comes to La Fortaleza to spoon feed Cecilia a line about she was too caught by surprise before and now she’s come to accept the pregnancy. She says she wants to invite Ceci to a special dinner. Fortunately, Constanza is standing right there in her burka, eyes rolling like crazy.

Alejandro shows Lucía and Ricardito the photo of Lucho. Lucía smiles, saying that it’s El Duende.

Francisca tells Vero that she invoked Tigre, both at home and at the cemetery. His message to her was that it’s OK to fall in love, but his message for Vero is that bad things are coming for her. Tigre said that his daughter was to attack the enemies, to surprise them, to bring out her claws. She should hunt them the way tigers hunt!

Antonia begs Cecilia’s pardon. She says they’ll be family. After she leaves, Constanza pulls off her burka and tells Ceci not to believe a word said by this she-wolf. She says that Ceci is as innocent as a lamb, and Guerra’s fangs come out at the sight of her.

Ale has noticed Patti with tears in her eyes and begs her to tell him what’s wrong. She says that Ricardo is cheating on her. He evades her, is cool to her, and behaves in a guilty manner. The worst of it is that she can’t really say much because she cheated first. But it hurts her so very much. She was the one who introduced this woman to him to save her marriage.

Rod tries to get Lucas, in front of Ricardo, to say more. Rod brings up Lucas' hatred of Los Suárez, but Lucas clams up. After he’s taken back to his cell, Rod tells Ricardo he knows how to put pressure on young thugs like this. They can’t withstand much pressure, and he’ll get him to talk about other crimes.

La Patrona -

thanks so much novelera!

I was really intrigued with the Francisca/Gabriela chat,
(and wow, I bet Francisca has the head ache of all head aches)
I really appreciate you filling me on the parts that I missed,

Gabriela has always been tough as nails,
a single mom,
working/sweating as the only women in a mine,
and later taking everything that Gertrudis could dish out,
and surviving,

but her "venganza",
she keeps tripping over the fact that,
she has a heart of gold,

it's interesting that Tigre's message to her was, to attack,
in your words,
"to attack the enemies, to surprise them, to bring out her claws",
to "hunt them the way tigers hunt",

maybe she will see that to delay means even more people will suffer,

ah, but then there is Rod,
sleeping with the enemy,
and looking for ANY criminal,
and a falling Ricardo,

and Alejandro.
did he say to her,
"it's hell living without you"
he is so good with women,
but...

and yes, I too love Lucho when he is playful,
he is really good at bringing out the best in people,
I liked the way that Ricardo stalled Alejandro on this,
and Constanza now knows where he is,
but why didn't she tell Gabriela?

Pasion Prohibida

NovelaMan, thank you so much for the recap.

This episode only made me dislike Bruno a little bit more. He is keeping both Bianca and Nina on a very tight leash, isn't he?
He convinces Bianca not to speak with Ariel just yet, wait for him to talk to his uncle first, and then he makes Nina lie to everybody about her whereabouts and in a way that it almost looks like harassing from where I stand.

About Nina screaming at Deniz - she was way out of line, but I'm so tired of Deniz always meddling in Nina's life, that I'm kind of on Nina's side with this one. True, she is a very bad liar (who isn't in this house) and Deniz is practically her mother, but even a mother has to respect her child's privacy. Enough with the smothering and non stop questioning already!

At this point I'm not sure who is the bigger coward in this story: Yair for all the allusions he makes, especially in front of Bruno, but can't open his mouth to save his life, or Bruno, for forcing Nina to lie and Bianca to stay connected to her abusive husband just as long as he's not ready to deal with the consequences?

If Yair could actually grow a pair (sorry, but there is no other way to put this), that would definitely shut Bruno up. And if Bruno owned up to his promises to stand by Bianca's side, he would be with her now, not at the house, playing the happy returning primo.

Is Eliana completely crazy? Yes? Did we already know this? Definitely yes! Ever since Nina mentioned how Bruno drives all his women crazy, I knew something bad would happen.
Let's see what Bianca and Nina do when it's their turn to get dumped (because, honestly, at this point I don't trust Bruno as far as I can throw him).

LA PATRONA:

Great recap, Novelera, thank you!

I almost didn't recognize Francisca without her usual eye makeup. She looked very pretty and sweet as a hospital patient. It's interesting she had so much to tell of what Tigre told her (such as about Gaby), when we only saw a few seconds of it. I'm not sure how Gaby's in danger, and Gaby should attack can be reconciled, but I guess we'll find out.

Alejandro said to Pati, just talk to Ricardo. Problem is, Ricardo won't talk to her. He's got a big denial thing going (always has). And Ines, telling Ric it's "part of his therapy" to see if they could do it at his workplace? That's a bit sick. Ric never tried to make love to Pati at his workplace, so Ines's therapy stinks. And Ric still can't resist, even with his secretary right outside the room!

I liked Lucho's recovery, when he was going to get medicine for Irene's "cruda" (hangover), he recovered, and told Lucia, for Irene's "cruda realidad" (harsh reality, or the ugly truth). I doubt little Lucia knew what a hangover was anyway. Later, when Lucho brought the medicine, Irene asked why are you caring for me so much? Lucho sort of joked about it, but once again, Irene's smile shows she appreciates his actions.

El Señor de Los Cielos:

Don't know if we'll have a long recap from Bill, but here are a few things that struck me from the episode.

Aurelio calls Daniel Jiménez Arroyo, whom I'm going to start calling Danny for short. Let's meet. Danny's too busy. AC is mad, I'm HIS boss, how can he diss me? He has the naked picture sent to Danny's party to celebrate being a general, and it's very embarrassing when it's revealed, not only the subject, but where did it come from? Doris (we found out a while back this mansion is all from her family money) covers, saying she gave it to Danny, it was in one of her family warehouses.

Later, Danny angrily goes to meet AC, pulls a gun on him, how dare you send me that picture, that's my private life, my family, but AC gets right back in HIS face, You'll do what I say! Danny's a bit shaken. And even later, AC hints to Chacorta that Danny may have to go.

Bert's warned a few more times about Mati, and Ximena also reads Mati the riot act. Mati tells her, you think I'd mess with my own nephew? But after Xime leaves, Mati says to herself, maybe I WILL!

Mónica really gets desperate. After sex with Aurelio, she says she'll tell him who's the powerful connection if he'll get her more in the business. What about Lupe? Mónica says Lupe's DONE, he'll probably end up as one of your message boys, but I'm the future. Aurelio is not impressed, says he could find out the contacts on his own, no deal. Then Mónica tells him ANYWAY! It's the Secretary of Defense. Whoa, this is news for Aurelio. And he didn't have to give Mónica anything!

Later, Mónica bemoans to Roxana (still in her own dream world) that she's really losing it, she's just so obsessed with Aurelio, and she just did something that made her unworthy of him (telling him that secret for nothing).

Marco and Leo continue to try to get evidence, Leo wants to go to Colombia, Marco doesn't think Danny will go for that. Also, Eugénia tells Marco, you can have all the pretty co-workers you need, as long as you still love me (so far he does).

Oscar sends Cabo and Tijeras to Mexico to talk to the Robles, to find out why the merchandise isn't reaching the US. Cabo says we should talk to the Casillas, and Oscar is mad that Cabo questioned his judgment.

Chacorta and crew give free drug samples to kids on the Mexico streets. Get em hooked. I know I'm hooked on this show!

EL SEÑOR, Part 2

Marco and Leo visit the art dealer, whom I think is Irina. There's a lot of cat and mouse between them. They want to find out who bought painting, which they know is worth 2 million dollars, and she doesn't want to tell them. We'll see where this leads.

Also, Ximena ran into Chacorta's secret son and the son's mother on the street. At the time, Alba didn't say who they were, but she later tells Xime the truth. Xime asks if Aurelio also has a secret family, and Alba says not that I know of. But Xime, you should go easy on Mati, she doesn't know about this. And she has no children of her own. To me, that still wouldn't give Mati the right to seduce Xime's son!

LA PATRONA

Thanks so much, Novelera, for the excellent recap! Such a nice treat with my morning coffee.

Irene is just awful - what a hypocrite! That story line she fed Lucho about only sleeping with 2 men, Ale and Lucho, sounded like a bold faced lie to me. The first time she seduced Ale she did not look like a fresh faced virgin. And her treatment of Patti is absolutely cruel.

For whatever reason Lucho is attracted to the witch, he has been sweet, loving and patient in spite of her disagreeable, snotty behavior. And it's having a positive effect - Irene was even smiling and pleasant with Lucia.

I am loving Poncia's new attitude! In the past she never would have told Antonia to get her own coffee or that they could be in adjacent cells if Antonia turns her in to the police. And Antonia doesn't get it yet. She thinks Poncia's attitude is due to Ceci's pregnancy. I'm going to enjoy watching these two ladies spar for a while.

Francisca obviously had a much longer conversation with El Tigre than we saw. The message he sent to Gaby/Vero is unsettling and makes me wonder what is coming her way.

I loved Coni's statement to Ceci that if she went to Antonia's for dinner she would be dinner! It's good that the adults are protecting Ceci and her baby.

Ines just gets worse - despicable! And I'm past feeling even the slightest bit sorry for Ricardo and his situation. What if his secretary or Patti and the kids - or anyone! -had walked into that office.

Pasión Prohibida

thanks so much NovelaMan!

and great comments Adriana Noel,
I don't know what to think about Bruno and so love hearing your thoughts,

it seems like Bruno/Bianca could just go with it, that Bianca was raped by Ariel, and Bruno has been comforting her, that Bianca could follow thru with a divorce, (Ariel would probably give her more money than she could ever spend), and then thankful to Bruno for his help in her time of need, they could eventually hook up in the eyes of everyone,

so what could be the problem with this,

lets see,
well Yair caught them together earlier, and could possibly derail that train,
but he seems to be keeping what he knows corked up because of his love of Ariel, except for when he springs a leak, then tries to cram it back into the bottle,

but I think the real problem is that neither Bianca or Bruno are very good at being evil,

I think Bianca, who is totally overwhelmed, wants to come completely clean with Ariel and come to terms with her demons, crying alone at the side of the pool is just not doing it for her anymore,

and Bruno seems to have this profound love and respect for his family, which trumps all,
(and perhaps having it all with Bianca without his family, does not bring the same thrill as a pasión prohibida)

so Bruno seems to be trying to put a lid on it, contain everything and bury all of the skeletons, so his family life can be as it always has been, I don't know how this is going to work out, but I'm guessing that he and Bianca will be able to bungle their way along some how,

oh and Nina, so proud of her lying, till Denis picked it apart, but happy to be close to Bruno, even if it is as an accomplice, why didn't she just tell Denis just the part about going to see Eliana, who wanted out of the law suit, this just isn't her game at all, (like her lie and underage trip to a club earlier where she also was caught)

so true about Bruno driving the girls nuts,

did anyone catch the text messages between Bruno and Eliana that precipitated her suicide attempt?

EL SEÑOR

Thanks so much for the recap, Hombre. I'm with you, also becoming an addict.

I guess lately they've been filling in the blanks about Chacorta and Mathilde having been married longer than I thought. I was thinking the woman who is the mother of his son came before Mathilde. But Alba said she was a mistress or something. Also, Mati said something about changing Bert's clothes when he was little. So I guess they've been married a long time.

Something about that smug attitude and odd French accent bothers me about the art dealer. I wish Marco and Leo would shake her up a bit. They tried, mentioning that she might be involved in money being laundered by art purchases. But she just seemed to blow them off.

I was thinking that what was shocking about the painting was not that it was of a nude. The people of the party are supposed to be the upper crust of DF. But that everyone there would know how much it cost. And WHO would have had the resources to send such a gift for a party celebrating a rise in rank in the army.

I felt like throwing up when Roxana was pampering Lupe and his hangover. I really don't like it when they show women grovel for some guy who's totally a jerk.

The conversations with Cadena and Cabo are fascinating. Cabo sees the handwriting on the wall and wants to continue the alliance with Aurelio. Cadena wants to keep propping up Robles. Last night he sounded like it was just a personal preference. But in the past he's said he feared Casillas getting too much power.

Cielos
Are we done with our own link?
I posted on the previous link of Cielos but my ? have been answered here, tks so much Hombre. I am really liking this TN also.

I wanted to ck how much longer Amores Verdaderes had to go since I like the 9PM hour, The US is on about cap 125 but Mex is still going at cap 175. Good grief, unless by some miracle it has improved, this is one lame TN.

El SEÑOR

Variopinta, the alternating dynamic duo of Jean and NovelaMaven post the weekly link and/or links for our Telemundo recapping and commenting pleasure.

While Bill C. was writing longer recaps for El Señor, they apparently felt that this novela should be separated from the other two in order to make it easier for those following La Patrona and Pasión Prohibida to find their respective comments.

It appears Bill is no longer writing the longer recaps, so the decision has been made to go back to the regular way of having all the prime-time Telemundo novelas together in one link. We're all trained to put the title at the top of comments and/or recaps so visitors can easily skip through the one they're not watching to the one they are watching.

This is meant merely to explain, not to criticize Bill in any way. Those recaps were amazing and, I'm sure, quite time consuming. I think he just likes to get us through the first couple of weeks of introducing lots of characters and an understanding of the plot points.

novelera
I'm good with that, just didn't know,
gracias

PASION PROHIBIDA
Thanks NovelaMan for the great wrap-up!
Deb--I think the text between Elianna and Bruno went something like:
Elianna: "...I'll be out of your life forever."
Bruno: "Good! Do it (hazlo)--the sooner the better."

I am not liking Bruno lately, he is coming across a bit too self serving, not willing to cut himself off from Tio's gravy train quite yet?
Deniz is turning into a shrewish busybody. Yair's dark side is coming out. Nico is dabbling in questionable business deals. Only Sra Flavia seems a wee bit more likeable lately.

ALL:
My sister (a previous Telemundo novela fan)just moved and now she only gets Univision. Can anyone recommend which of the Uni novelas are just starting? She doesn't care too much for the drug cartel-theme ones.
Thanks!
J in Oregon

Off Topic- Univision:

J in Oregon-- There is a brand new telenovela starting at 7pm on Uni on Monday called Corazon Indomable, starring Ana Brenda. It is a very old style tn, but should be enjoyable. I will be one of the recappers. You can see the synopsis under the tag "Indomable"

Although I was watching it, Porque el Amor Manda on at 8pm, is dull. It's a comedy, and if you're a Fernando Colugna fan it might seem worth it. But really, it is quite lame. Best part about it is the Caray Caray comments and group.

I know Variopinta hates it, but Amores Verdadero on at 9pm is quite fun in many ways, and has gotten really entertaining in the last few weeks. But it's way too far in for someone to jump in now (Cap 128).

The 10pm show, Que Bonito Amor, just started 2 weeks ago, but Uni has been showing 1 1/2 shows each night, meaning it's much further along than it should be. In any case, I wouldn't recommend it (too cliched), unless your sister can't live without seeing Jorge Salinas, Pablo Montero, or just loves mariachi music.

There is a post for umpcoming tns called "proximas". I just put up a post under proximas of the shows Univision and Unimas are planning for the 2013-14 season.

Off-Topic, Univision
Thanks so much Vivi in DC!!!
I will pass this helpful info along to my sister and also show her where to find Caray Caray.
I don't get Univision, or I might be tempted to take a look at Corazon Indomable.
Thanks again--

Pasion Prohibida

J in Oregon, I just wrote a post yesterday about how much I dislike Bruno these days, so I totally get what you're saying and I completely agree.
It has to be hard for him, turning his back on Ariel and probably his family, too (honestly, how important is family for all of us). THAT BEING SAID, he already did just that when he hooked up with Bianca the first time - no, scratch that - when he started following her around the house, whispering sweet nothings in her resisting ear. So for me Bruno is the poster case for having your cake and eating it, too.

I also agree with you about Deniz - she used to be such a sweet woman, now she is constantly throwing side eyes, treating Nina like a child and playing this game with Yair - why on Earth doesn't she say something?
Yair is another idiot, always attacking Bruno with his indirectas (the only moments I like Bruno nowadays is when he is with Yair) but never having the guts to do the right thing - tell the truth.
Ever since the suicide scare, Flavia has changed a lot, she took a back step to all the other crazies happening in the house, but I have a feeling she will have a come back soon - Bianca wanting to divorce the goose with the golden eggs is definitely not something she will agree on.

Deb, I suggested B&B just go with it when the rape first happened, but I didn't think of the people who already know about them, Yair being the biggest problem. But Yair is, OMG, such a waste of air, I'm almost sure he wouldn't say anything anyway, just be happy his Don Ariel is getting away from the big bad wife.
At this point I really feel bad for Bianca because she is giving up her marriage and her social status for a man that doesn't seem all that willing to do the same for her. Love and passion are all nice and pretty, but real life is not just about that. Bianca never wanted for them to be in this situation, she wanted to go away, it was him always backing out. And just like Flavia told her, she got so involved in this, she just can't push him back anymore.
Eliana trying to kill herself in not Bruno's fault, no matter how a man treats you, you just can't go there with the crazy, but he does have a destructive effect on the women on his life...this makes me wonder what will happen when Bianca realizes that he is not that willing to talk to Ariel about them.

TELEMUNDO:

Thanks Deb. I'll add this to the Proximas post.

LA PATRONA – LUNES – Part 1

Patti tells Alejandro she thought Ricardo’s impotence was “their problem”, but he’s solving it with someone else. She tells him that Inés has no ethics at all. What if Ricardo actually prefers her?

Veronica tells Constanza that she knows perfectly well that Antonia is going to prevent the birth of Cecilia’s baby, just like she prevented her baby from being born

Lucho has brought Irene some of his famous hangover soup. He has another cure in mind as well. He says making love releases endorphins to wipe out the headache. Irene grins and decides to go for the non-soup cure!

Alejandro isn’t much help to Patti. He basically tells her to look on the bright side; at least Ricardo’s plumbing is working somewhere! He tells her to think of Ricardo as an adolescent.

Macario has come to visit Lucas, who’s being brought out for more questions. Lucas begs Macario to get him out of there. Rod gets ready to apply some more pressure. He asks Lucas where Macario got the lana to buy a rancho on a chauffeur’s salary. Macario calls Guerra to tell her he couldn’t get in to see Lucas; she tells him to hang out there until he can.

Antonia has some pills to give Cecilia, hoping they’ll work to cause her lose the baby. She reads on the package: “by prescription only” and smirks that money is the best prescription.

Irene’s in a post-coital glow, headache all gone. Alejandro sneaks in and starts yelling for Lucho to come out.

Ricardo shows up with the stereotypical bouquet of guilt flowers and an even guiltier ring for Patti. But he only gets a lukewarm kiss on the cheek.

After Ale practically screams the house down, Lucho comes out and asks him if he’s jealous. Ale launches himself at Lucho and they start trading punches. Vero is conveniently outside at the front door and hears all the roaring. Lucho says he’d never hurt Lucía. When Vero comes in, Lucho smiles and tells her he knew she’d come for him.

Inés left a big, slutty lipstick kiss on Ricardo’s collar and it appears also some distinctive perfume that Patti smells.

Lucho declares his love for Vero again. She says she doesn’t want to see him in prison. Irene is disgusted that both guys are again fighting over Vero. Before things get resolved, Balmaceda shows up: “Open up in the name of the law!”

Patti has gotten into the shower with Ricardo and has tried once more to seduce him.

Vero, Alejandro and Irene all lie to Rod about Lucho having been there. When he asks why Vero is there, Irene says they’ve been friends since they were adolescents. Whoops. Rod asks Vero about her having only recently gotten to town

Max tells Valentina he’s so reconciled with his Mother and Gastón’s relationship that he’ll give her away in church.

Antonia pours it on thick flattering Aníbal and then asks to borrow $2 million to cover what she lost in the stock market. Meanwhile, Valentina tells Ale that the administrator of the trust has called her and something in his tone worried her. She asks Ale to come to DF with her.

LA PATRONA – LUNES – Part 2

We get a real jaw snapping fight between two old lobo allies. Aníbal isn’t about to give Guerra any money. She threatens him, saying she knows all his dirty secrets. He says he also knows hers. She tells him he’d still be the Governor’s secretary if she hadn’t led him by the hand the whole way. He tells her he pulled her up out of the mud. If it weren’t for him she’d still be regentando en un prostibulo de mala muerte. [Oooh, I love this one! “She’d still be running a cheap whorehouse.”] She tells him she knows he was the one who raped the Colina twins [?]. Poncia has come to eavesdrop. He reminds her of all the killings she’s guilty of: her two husbands, her son, and Poncia’s husband! He says Poncia only hurt him, but Guerra finished him off in the hospital because he was her accomplice in killing Marcos Beltrán.

Vero manages to get Lucho out of Irene’s house disguised as a potbellied, mustachioed, cowboy chauffeur.

Ricky begs Patt’s pardon for another failure, lying his tuchas off about ever being able to have sex with anyone. Patti is fed up, says she knows about the other woman and throws the lipsticky shirt at him. He still lies. She tells him she knows it’s Inés. She asks him to swear it isn’t true and he does so.

Gastón tells Constanza that he’s in love like a high school kid, and that he and Fran are talking weddings. Lucho comes in sheepishly, saying he owes Gastón an apology. Gastón smiles and says they need to find him a father for that baby in his belly.

In DF, the administrator tells Alejandro and Valentina that, as her tutela, Antonia took the money and used it to play the stock market. Ale rushes back to SPDO and asks Guerra if it was Val’s money that she lost in the stock market.

Max comes to meet with a prosecutor to file a complaint about El Chamuco. He produces the will of Lucía Beltrán, his father’s first wife. El Tigre was the heir, and when he died, eight years ago he and his mother Francisca were threatened and forced to sign una cesión de tierras (surrender of rights) or they’d have been killed. The prosecutor says that in that case what they signed would not be valid. Aníbal turns up to laugh at Max’s efforts, saying he can’t afford to sue. Vero shows up saying she’s going to help him.

Back to Ale and Antonia. He tells her there are controls over what an executor can do. She had to sign for that much money. He tells her that what she did is called stealing and she’ll have to answer for it in court.

Inés has come again to Ricardo’s office to grope him. He’s had it. He tells her she’s a sicko and he’s done with her. She isn’t giving up, and he tells her he’ll denounce her in the College of Psychiatry and they’ll pull her license. She tells him she’ll tell Patti, who will take Ricardito away from him. He had apparently told her in “therapy” that the child was not his biological child. [I wish he’d just push her off that balcony outside his office.]

Alejandro says she has to tell the new associate, Vero, that she has to break the contract. I’m not quite sure why that is the case, but let’s go with it. He tells her she’ll have to declare bankruptcy.

Vero tells Aníbal that she became their partner because she did not know they were taking a mine that wasn’t theirs. She WILL accept as her partner the true owners of the mine, and she’s not going to giver them one red cent until this is resolved. [Whoo boy! Talk about putting some sensitive body parts in the vise!]

Pasion Prohibida Monday Part 1

Bruno gets a call from Eliana's friend about Eliana's attempted suicide, so he goes to the hospital.
At dinner Nina can't keep lieing anymore, so she tells Deniz, Flavia and Santi that she met Eliana during the day, that Bruno also met with Eliana and that she found out he had a house outside Miami, where he stayed with a woman; she didn't see the woman, but she is sure someone had been there with him. She asks everybody to keep the secret from Ariel because otherwise her dad would get upset with her for going to see Eliana. Flavia and Deniz agree to kee the secret, but you can see their brains digesting the news at high speed.

Bruno arrives at the hospital, talks to Eliana's friend; when he manages to get inside Eliana's room, she is awake and asks him to get out, blames him for everything. When he leaves, she tells her friend she ruined her career for Bruno, who will want to hire her now? So she calls Guillermo and accepts his offer to take down the Piemontes together...I guess that is as good a job as any.

Bianca is still home, waiting for Bruno. Penelope calls her, but Bianca is in no mood to talk. She calls Bruno again. He tells her he is at the hospital with Eliana, but Bianca really doesn't care about the attempted suicide, she just gets jealous, instead (!!!); tells Bruno she is going to confess to Ariel the whole truth. She is so fired up because of Bruno, but because of Flavia, too: her mom called her before, to ask her to go back to Ariel, deal with her husband. So that is what Bianca decides to do, deal with the whole mess. She hangs up with Bruno and leaves, as he is desperately trying to keep her from seeing Ariel.

Bruno leaves the hospital and goes to the house of horror, but Bianca is no longer there. He finds the broken mirror and a half empty bottle of wine. He calls Bianca and they fight again about her decision to tell Ariel the truth. He wants them to wait, but Bianca can't have any of this anymore - she can't stand lieing for another minute. As they are still arguing, Bianca crashes her car and Bruno hears the noise. He calls 911 (I believe), tells them about the accident.

Pasion Prohibida Monday Part 2

Bianca is taken to the hospital, while Francisca and Ariel find out what happened from Francisca's gardner (the crash happened near the ranch and the gardner's house).
They run to the hospital and they find out Bianca has some injuries, but it doesn't look like it is to serious. The guy in the other car is in far worse shape, apparently, and to Bianca's credit, she does ask about him immediately. Maybe if she'd shown some empathy for Eliana and hadn't run out of the house liek a crazy person, she wouldn't be hurt now...poetic justice...

Bruno goes to the hospital near the ranch, asks if Bianca Santillana was brought in and what is her condition. Just as the receptionist tells her that yes, Bianca is there, he sees Francisca come toward him and manages to hide before she sees him. After Francisca dissappears, he is still on the hall, looking desperate, but not for long...

Because keeping his cover is obviously the most important thing for Bruno, so he just goes home, where nobody knows anything yet. Ay, ay, Brunito, El Cobardito!!! He could have at least said that he was talking with Bianca on the phone when the accident happened, that wouldn't have compromised him in any way.

He meets Flavia who point blank tells him she knows Bianca is with him; he is keeping her hidden in the house he has outside Miami. Bruno denies everything, but you can see that he is almost peeing in his pants. Flavia doesn't care about his denial, just remarks that she wants him to know that she knows and that they can't trick her (and I found Flavia pretty awesome in this particular scene).

Back at the hospital Ariel is with Bianca. Before she is awake, he remembers the abuse, again and at this point he seems to be more affected than her, honestly. when Bianca wakes up, he asks her why she was near the ranch - to talk to him,set things straight, Bianca answers; he insists she needs to stay calm for now and they get interrupted by the doctor, anyway: he comes in, gives the permision for Bianca to be moved to a hospital from Miami, as well as the other guy who got hurt.

The next morning Francisca goes to the mansion and tells everybody what happened with Bianca. Bruno is also present, so I guess now he can show concern without drawing any suspicion on him (insert disgusted smirk).

Eliana is well enough to be released frm the hospital. Guillermo comes to visit her (just like he did the night before, after her call, ditching his wife in the process). He says he'll pay the hospital bill and he is very caring (barf); but when Eliana's friend comes in with the news that Bianca was brought in, too, and surely, her family will soon follow, Guillermo doens't know how to leave fast enough.
Eliana doesn't want to see Bruno again, but her friend is only wondering what is the old guy doing with Eliana.

In her room in the new hospital Bianca wants to talk to Ariel about their situation but he wants to wait for them to get home; just the thought of getting back to the mansion gives Bianca a seizure, so she insists that they really need to talk fast.

How poetic that both of Bruno's women end up in the hospital, the same day and partially because of him. And yet, Bruno gets to spend the night in his bed, waiting for it to be safe to show his concern. Yeah, I know, he is worried anyway, but it wouldn't hurt to actually see him toss and turn in his bed, just to be sure that he is worth all this pain (He isn't!)

LA PATRONA:

Thanks so much Novelera. Am I the only one who thinks it's just tacky for Lucho to get in a fist fight with Ale over Vero, in front of Irene, whom he has just finished boinking? Sheesh!

Balmy needs to stop wasting time and resources chasing Lucho, and get busy getting to the bottom of the unsolved MURDERS and "mysterious" deaths in that town.

I would like to think Ale confronting Guerra about the money will go somewhere, but since they're all sitting at the dinner table together in the previews, I don't have a lot of faith that he'll show zero tolerance and send her to jail for theft and fraud. Sorry Vale. You're out $2 mill because your wimpy step-brother can't stand up to his mommy. The next time he questions Poncia about Guerra's shady dealings, he better believe her.

LA PATRONA:
Novelera, great recap of a great ep. This ep reminded me of why I loved this TN-a lot of humor, action/suspense and drama happened last night in not overly dramatic ways. We learned two or three secrets instead of one. I don't know how you and Hombre do such succinct recaps-I had so many reactions to various scenes, I would have had to comment on them all if I had recapped.

¡Que cínico es Ricardo! The very definition of cínico-you're lying to someone who knows you're lying trying to convince them you are not lying! And Patti so
does not believe him.

Re Ale saying they need to liquidate the sociedad with Vero. It seems as if Ale wants to end that business deal so they can get cash from ending that deal to pay back Valentina. He's really adamant about that since he tells Guerra she might even have to declare bankruptcy. I love when Ale ironically clapped for Guerra's lying when she said she invested Val's money in the stock market for Val's benefit because it was just sitting in the bank not growing any interest.
He now knows that if Guerra can lie for 40 years to Anibal about Ale being his son, she'll barefacedly lie about anything.

pay us.

LA PATRONA:

Thanks for another excellent recap, Novelera.

The Colina twins? Who knew? I'm glad Poncia heard the part about how Antonia actually finished off Poncia's husband, who was also an accomplice in Antonia's husband's murder! That should relieve Poncia from some of her guilt. All those years under Antonia's thumb. But payback time is coming.

I agree that Lucho should forget about fighting for Vero, now that he's starting something with Irene.

It's nice that Max is going to be a doctor, and Val wants to wait to get married until he's farther along in his career. So far Max hasn't exactly impressed me with his intellect, but maybe it's just hidden behind all that youthful exuberance.

So Balmy left Irene's house, and asked Gonzalez to do something else, too. We know Gonzalez is "the dumbest cop Balmy has seen", but his underlings are even dumber, which is why Lucho's pregnant cowboy outfit worked like a charm.

I wanted Patti to say to Ricardo something like "I could handle it if you had sex with the therapist, but I could never forgive you if you lie to me." She didn't exactly say that, so he continued to lie. It's very sad behavior from someone we used to think was one of the heroes.

It's so much fun to see Antonia and Anibal knocked off their pedestals just a little farther, each and every day.

EL SEÑOR DE LOS CIELOS:

For those of us who want someone to root for, there's a meeting of some of the good guys for dinner. We have Marco, Eugénia, Leo and Marco's Mom (can't remember her name). Mom says that Doris called and very suspiciously asked how Marco and Leo reacted to the gift of the painting. Mom didn't tell Doris anything. Other good guys are Linares and Ponte.

We learn a bit about Leo. She's guarded, not ready for any relationship. Part of this is because on an undercover mission (which Marco has never done), you need to become that person, forgetting all your morals and real relationships. She flashes back to when she had to allow Pablo Escobar to basically rape her to keep up her cover. She almost thinks she could only get involved if her boyfriend was in the same line of work as she is. Marco says he thought it was better if they're NOT both in the line of fire (like him and Eugenia).

Aurelio's strategy is working. Mexico is awash with drugs. And since the flow to the US is restricted, the price is going up. They're making 4 times what they were making before. And AC is squeezing out rivals. Guadalupe's business is bad. He has nothing to tell the Colombian's, doesn't know where the supply is going. At the end of the episode, he asks Mónica to use her "powers of persuasion" to get Aurelio to give them back some routes. And before, he wanted her never to SEE Aurelio!

Another rival, Pollo asks for more routes, and Aurelio says okay. Pollo warns that other guys are plotting against AC, and we do see several, who complain that kidnapping prices are down, Aurelio's keeping all the good stuff for himself, he has to be eliminated!

EL SEÑOR, part 2

Oscar has realized the he's getting nothing from the Robles, so I think he's getting ready to go to Mexico, to find out first hand what's up with his shipments. He's been raising his prices, too, things are okay, but he doesn't trust AC.

Aurelio has a "date" with Lina, the art gallery owner. This was right after he told Mónica he was "busy". They proceed to have hot sex. He wants her contacts, maybe even the President. She says she has no contact with the President (so far, he may be uncorrupt), but she's close to his cousin. We also see the cousin a bit mad at Huerta and Castro as "business" is a bit down. It's shocking to see so many high level government leaders involved in drugs.

But Danny's having second thoughts. He was okay when all the drugs were going to the US, but now his own country is awash in them, and he's a general in charge of stopping them. Doris says you'll just have to stop Aurelio. And the only person who can do it is Marco. Danny meets with Marco, I have a confession to make. Does he admit he's in league with Aurelio? Of COURSE not! He's just tired, etc., and needs some help. But I do think he's going to try and help Marco try to take down AC. I think they also want to stop Aurelio's "narcotiendas" (drug-stores).

We also meet a new minor character, Pablo Pinera or something like that, nicknamed orejas (ears) who is a master of eavesdropping. This could come in handy.

We had a montage, showing Aurelio's successes, the cops capturing a few drug guys, Ximena's baby a little bigger, Matilde as a singer in a club with Bert looking on. More fun tonight!

PASION PROHIBIDA

I dont think Biancas wreck was poetic justice. Most likely Ariel wont discover the truth until the end.
But damn! It looks like Bianca will be stuck with Ariel again.

LA PATRONA

Thank you, Novelera, for your great recap. Thanks for translating the conversation about the $2 mil between Ale and Antonia, although I have to admit I didn't and still don't understand why Ale said they have to end the partnership with Vero. I thought they brought in a new partner because the mine needed a cash infusion. If they end the partnership, won't she take her money out of the mine? I guess we'll hear more tonight.

So Alejandro snuck into Irene's house intent on finding Lucho because Lucho is a dangerous criminal who may harm Lucia? I don't think anyone believed that. I was hoping Ale would catch Lucho and Irene in bed together, but all his yelling gave them plenty of warning.

"Balmaceda shows up: 'Open up in the name of the law!'” Hilarious scene from beginning to end with no one telling him the truth.

Will Poncia finally tell Rod the Bod about the conversation between Antonia and Anibal she overheard? Probably not, but she may tell Vero. Telling Alejandro would be a waste of her time!

Max redeemed himself just a little bit with his acceptance of Francisca's and Gaston's relationship and eventual marriage. He still has that impulsive, undisciplined thing going, though - the caveman, as Val describes him. I can't see him as doctor material yet.

Well, I'd like to hear the story abut the Colina twins....

Beth

EL SENOR

Hombre, thanks so much for the excellent recap. There was so much dialogue I missed last night that I really appreciate your translating for us.

The flashbacks Leo had about her undercover work with Escobar were pretty raw and hard to watch.

Looks like Mati can belt out a song. Her nightclub act was well received.

Turco was so right about AC having a good head for business. It sounded like they've increased revenue 400% in about 3 months (I'm counting based on the baby's size - could be 6 months). Too bad he's in such a deadly, harmful business.

I kept expecting Monica to barge in on AC and Lina. Didn't happen. Maybe Monica will play it very cool based on Lupe's request that she get in touch with AC.

Beth

LA PATRONA

Yeah, Beth, I don't understand the partnership thing either. At one point in the episode, as J desde NYC said, it appeared that Alejandro was saying that cancelling the partnership with Vero would somehow enable Guerra to replace Valentina's money. But, she then immediately said she needed Vero's money to do the exploration of new veins they'd mentioned weeks ago.

And then, at the very end, Vero said she's cancelling the agreement and not giving them any money. So, if she hasn't given them any money yet, then how would cancelling the agreement give Antonia and Alejandro any money to pay back Valentina?

Cielos
Gracias Hombre

Do any of you think Telemundo is a little less puritan than Televisa,it appears that way to me.

EL SENOR

Variopinta - I'm watching Telemundo for the first time, and I agree with you. It seems to me that Patrona and Señor are grittier and more explicit in subject matter and language than what I've seen on Uni. I expect something like Patrona could be telecast on Uni, but not the narconovelas - too violent.

Beth

EL SENOR:

Since Univision regularly edits scenes from Televisa tns (sex, nudity, bad words, slurs, etc.), I would say Univision is the puritan one. Televisa's lack of narconovelas is more a function of sensitivities about the escalating narco violence in Mexico, more than anything else. It's all too close and in the present for them I think. Although there are gritty Televisa series about crime fighting that don't get picked up by Uni, and graphic shows like Mujeres Asesinas that do indeed get shown by Uni.

Hombre- Many thanks for the recap. AC really has a head for business. If only he could stay focused on that and not his messy love life.

TELEVISA vs TELEMUNDO

I actually think the sex/love scenes from Televisa are more graphic than any I've seen on Telemundo. For example, the ladies in Telemundo tns are always wearing their bras in love scenes. It's pretty funny actually. (Like Guerra in those brightly colored bras after she and Hot Rod have done the deed.) In Televisa tns, they look pretty darn naked. Of course, Univision then chops the heck out of those scenes, and you have to go searching the internet for the uncut versions. :)

Cielos
The art dealer was very naked, no bra.

The scene in the baño with AC & Monica was pretty raunchy, even though they had their clothes on, that is except for Monica's thong.

Cielos:

I think the difference is once agin that Cielos is being produced mainly in Mexico. In general, I think the Mexicans have less of a problem with nudity than we do in the States. All the stuff Telemundo produces from the States is pretty tame in that department.

LA PATRONA

Vivi - too funny! I think Antonia had those bright colored bras on in bed because she has a problem with gravity, not editing.

Beth

Cielos
Juan Ignacio Aranda who plays Ramiro de la Garza & was Max in PEAM is the son of Ignacio López Tarso who plays abuelo Ramiro in CI. López Tarso also played Fermin in LQNPA.

Turco is one of my favorite bad guys, so I'm a little worried since AC walked in on him & Ximena, even though nothing was happening, AC can feel there is an attraction. I have never seen Turco with a gun.
AC can screw every female in Mex but he better not catch Ximena with anyone.

PASIóN PROHIBIDA

AdrianaNoel/ Novelman - I've just been lurking lately, due to frustrations over the storyline. but rest assured, I appreciate your recaps immensely; also comments from others.

I want to hurl all sorts of nasty expletives on this page, hence my absence from commenting. It really bothers me that Ariel is getting away with what he did, and the others in his household don't know about the atrocity. I can't believe Bianca will be going back to that house... isn't that cowardice on her part too?

I don't blame Eliana and Bianca going crazy/nuts over Bruno. He sure has that effect on me too...lol! Who wouldn't drown in those blue eyes? I am still transfixed whenever he's on screen.

Pasion Prohibida Tuesday

Bianca is at the hospital with Ariel, wants to tell him the truth, but they get interrupted by a police officer who comes in to ask Bianca about the accident.

Flavia, Bruno and Nina arrive at the hospital, too, they all go in Bianca's room; when she sees Bruno she can barely stop from crying. There is some talk about why she was on the road at that hour and Flavia tells everybody that Bianca wanted to surprise Ariel (previously Flavia and Bianca talked alone in the room and Flavia urged Bianca to go back home). Ariel is overjoyed that Bianca wanted to be with him for their anniversarry (which is today), he totally falls for Flavia's lie.

Finally when everybody else leaves the room, Bruno runs to her bedside, kisses her forehead and looks so worried I almost forgive him for the way he acted until now (dam.n you, JC Canela, you are really good). He tells Bianca he called the ambulance, was at the hospital and didn't leave until he was sure she is going to be ok. But Bianca is still very upset, wants to tell the truth to Ariel because she can't keep lieing anymore. Bruno asks her to wait to get home and get well. But Bianca has no intention of ever getting back to that house. When they are in this heated talk Flavia walks in and Bruno has to wipe his tears and leave.

Flavia asks Bianca to stop what she is doing, get back together with Ariel, but Bianca has a crisis over this, gets out of her bed and starts to scream that she cant't lie anymore, that she will never be like Flavia; Penelope, Nina and Nico come in the room and together they manage to calm her a little. Bianca now insists she wants to leave the hospital, but nobody thinks it prudent.

Ariel and Bruno are in the hall; Ariel whines about how Bianca's accident reminded him of Isabel and how much he would suffer if he lost Bianca, too. Bruno looks at him, feelling blades of guilt are crushing his soul (or something)

Nina comes for them and they go back to Bianca's room, where she is more calm, but still wants to leave. Eventually Bruno suggests they could talk to the doctor, ask his opinion, and if he gives them the green light, they can go home - he is talking to Bianca and for a moment she thinks he means that the both of them will go home to his house outside Miami - her face lights up - before realizing that Bruno is talking about the mansion. She obviously feels very cornered and betrayed, especially that Bruno knows what happened with Ariel. But she just says that she doesn't care about what happens anymore. When they are alone, Penelope offers to take Bianca to her home, but Flavia rejects this idea.

Later Flavia finds Bruno on the hallway and gives him a warning: he needs to take care with what he is doing because some mistakes can be fixed, but others produce irreparable damage; and that he should never hurt his family for a moment of passion.

Meanwhile at the house Deniz and Francisca compare notes on Ariel's marriage and Yair's misterious behaviour. They both go to confront him, urging him to tell them what he is hiding but, again, he says nothing.

Eliana is out of the hospital and Guillermo is hot on her trail, like a dog in heat...

Pasión Prohibida -

thanks so much Adriana Noel!
this was quite an episode,

Rule #1, never get taken to a novela hospital!
(and this one didn't even have that doctor that shows up and kicks everyone out of the room),

and when Bianca's extended family surrounded her bed, all working their separate angles, wow,
(and then there is the other guy that is seriously hurt),

and then they all agree that Bianca if she would just come back home, (each with a sweet insincere smile), so that they could all care for her, shades of a HORROR story,

yes Adriana Noel, Jencarlos Canela's is incredible, in all of his scenes,
(I had to laugh when he came walking down the hallway, saw Flavia who had spotted him, and he spun around and tried to escape)

everything is telling Bruno to run, run, run, but somehow he is hanging in there, still working on some kind of a solution to escape the inevitable, and failing miserably,

and you could really see in Bianca's eyes that spark of hope that she could also escape all of this insanity and return to the rented house alone with Bruno, and then realizing that that's not what Bruno was saying.........

EL SEÑOR DE LOS CIELOS:

Here are some names:
Marco's mother: Emma
The President's cousin: Ramiro
The bad guys who want to kill Aurelio: the Villalobos

Doris meets with Emma for lunch, tells her (suspiciously) how much Danny wants to bring down Aurelio.

Chacorta is going to be out of town for a few days. He tells Bert to keep an eye on Matilde, report back everyone she talks to. At the club, Matilde tells Bert, you should have a girlfriend. After my show, I'm going to give you a present. Uh oh!

Ximena asks Turco, how come you don't have a girlfriend. Well, he says, maybe I wasn't cut out for love. But if I did have one, she'd be pretty, smart, honest, down to earth, and have great eyes. He's saying this looking longingly at HER! Aurelio enters, am I interrupting anything? Both Ximena and Turco cover, but AC suspects something (with good reason).

Danny gives Marco and Leo the greenlight to go after the Casillas family. Orejas says all the drug transactions in DF come from one neighborhood (Doctores?). Anyway, the cops go there, see Chacorta talking to a guy. Leo wants to arrest him right now. Marco says wait, we're not sure he has a lot of drugs, the dogs are indicating maybe not much. But they decide to do it. Leo is nervous after her last raid, but after Marco says he feels safe with her, she kisses him! She quickly pulls away, that was a mistake, never happen again, but you know....

Meanwhile, Aurelio was going to have his guys meet with the Villalobos family, led by Sabino. But AC's guys say it looks like a trap (it is). AC tells his guys to get out of there. He then calls Danny, I got a present for you, I'm giving you the Villalobos clan. Just as Marco and Leo are about to bust Chacorta, Danny calls, mission cancelled, go get the Villalobos clan! Both Marco and Leo are again suspicious of Danny, but orders are orders, so they go to close in on the Villalobos group.

We see Lina or Irina (now it sounds like Irina) having sex with Ramiro, the President's cousin! Meanwhile, Mónica has called Aurelio, and wants to meet (Lupe's happy about this). Aurelio agrees, and Mónica gets another sexy outfit on. But AC gets a call from Irina, and stands up Mónica. When he gets to Irina's apartment, he's accosted by several armed guards. But he's not betrayed, they work for Ramiro. Ramiro says this is the one time we'll meet in person. Irina leaves the room. Ramiro says what can you offer me? We never find out the answer, but I'm guessing it's millions, since both guys are very happy. BTW, Irina tells Aurelio that her nickname is La Rusa (the russian girl), even though she was raised in France. One day she'll tell how she got her nickname.

Irina, Ramiro and Aurelio may be happy. But Mónica is furious!

MORE CIELOS:

The other day we had a montage where Irina was teaching Aurelio cultural stuff, like how to hold your fork. Hilarious!

LA PATRONA:

Ricardo has a problem with Inés, but of course won't tell Pati. But he tells Alejandro. Ale has some advice. But Ric, being even more clueless and bullheaded than Ale, won't even listen to what it is. He's going to solve this himself. After all, he's an esteemed judge (I don't think he really said this, but does think this makes him special, just as Aníbal thinks his being a Senator is special).

Most of the episode was Alejandro finding out (almost) everything! He talks to Poncia, and finds that Antonia killed Ale's father, and even killed Gabriela and (accidentally) her son Fernando! He meets with Gertrudis who admits she drugged Gabriela, that's why she was acting so crazy (she also mentions Constanza being alive, but Ricardo says that part is just delusion :) Alejandro's mind is blown! He tells Antonia he's moving out, and starts packing his bags. Valentina is also moving out, she only has a few more days before she's 18.

But Antonia still gets everyone to come for supper. They're going to toast the happy couple (David and Cecelia). But since Ceci is pregnant, Antonia says she shouldn't drink alcohol, and why not get Poncia's non alcoholic fruit punch from the fridge. They do, and Ceci drinks, but we know Antonia has probably doused that punch with baby killing pills!

Vero meets with Antonia, who is really mad, why are you backing Max's suit about the mine, do you hate me? No, dear, it's just business, and we can still be friends, right? Vero extends her hand, and Antonia forces herself to calmly take it, as a challenge.

Vero also wants Max, Val and Francisca to move to her house for their protection, but Fran says no way. I think maybe Max and Val with move into Fran's house, but in separate rooms.

I don't know if I dreamed it, or it is a dream, but at the end of the episode, Vero/Gabriela appeared at Alejandro's door, saying, hi, it's Gabriela!!!

La Patrona -

thanks so much Hombre,

I found it interesting the other day, that when Alejandro went to Irene's house to expose Lucho, rather than doing it covertly, he called out his name, and when everyone appeared, they aired their differences, and when Balmy appeared, so funny, but no one gave up Lucho, despite their differences they all seemed to be on same side,

I'm loving Poncia's sly smiles,

I've totally lost faith in Alejandro along the way, and the only thing that will redeem him in my eyes is if he goes toe to toe with his mother, and tonight actually listening to what Poncia is saying, is quite a start, and it seems the bits and pieces he has run across in the past are now dropping into place,

and I think Poncia even threw in the part where when Gabriela survived the mine explosion, Antonia decided not to kill her, but to make her suffer instead,

so what will Alejandro do now?

Gabriela seems to be on full attack, that was interesting her meeting with Antonia, it's only business, we can still be amigas, and after Antonia left, the way her eyes glazed over, wow,

I was wondering where Gertrudis was, and she kept bringing up Ricardo's mother, Ricardo has to be the most dishonest, honest guy there is.

I've always loved how Patti so zeros in on the truth, a very admirable novela character,

yes Hombre, Gabriela dug up some old minera's clothes, tied her hair back, and went calling,

Cielo
Tks Hombre

Talk about putting a young cock to watch la zorra. Chacorta sure isn't as perceptive as Aurelio, but he knows what Matilde is like.

Was Matilde grousing about Ximena not treating her right?

LA PATRONA:

A few corrections/additions Hombre. Guerra kicked Ale out and fired him because he wasn't believing her mother-of-the-year act. Once he showdd her those papers she signed to get access to the Vale's money, she knew she couldn't manipulate him because in Ale 's defense, once he sees paperwork, concrete evidence like that he won't be deterred. Plus, Guerra had already tried to bribe the original lawyer Braulio who was working to not give Guerra the guardianship, which Braulio told Ale about; Guerra had lied for forty years about who is father is. Ale has learned in the last couple of months that his mother can't be trusted which is why Guerra fired him. She can't manipulate him anymore and if he can't be manipulated, why have him at her house or running her business?

Also, Ale and Vale weren't at the dinner for Ceci. After the fight with Guerra they both decided to leave La Dorada together even though David was begging Vale to stay for the dinner. Guerra is a scumbag for doctoring Ceci's drink and sort of blaming Poncia for it by putting the drug in the juice Poncia made. David had totally accepted that Ceci was pregnant and happy about it and he's gonna be destroyed when Ceci miscarries.

Deb, Poncia's sly smiles kill me everytime! Her face last night said 'Yes! He is finally gonna take this arpia down" even as Vale's face was "I'm mad Guerra to my money and glad Ale is telling he off about it, but how sad is it that a son has to tell his mother off?" Their expressions were amazing.

LA PATRONA

Hombre, you outdid yourself. Two terrific recaps posted in one day! Thanks so much.

Poncia also told Alejandro about Guerra killing his step-father by not letting him reach his digitalis, or whatever was in the pill bottle.

I think Gaby/Vero's full out attack, Deb, is because of El Tigre's message, through Francisca, to attack like a tiger.

Ricardo doesn't deserve Patti. What an idiot! I hope it's a tease, but it almost looked like he was going to be seduced again!! I want them to end up together, with him "fully functional". But I wish she'd leave him for a while over his current behavior.

I wonder if Aníbal is going to survive his heart attack that happened after his (he thought) long dead wife called him on the phone?

Francisca is crazy not to move in with Vero. When they back Guerra into a corner about the mine ownership, a visit from Macario is almost a given.

EL SEÑOR

Thanks, Hombre!

I enjoyed the scene with El Turco and Ximena very much. He's a very handsome guy, and his enjoyment of Ximena handing him the baby was palpable. [Do we know the baby's name?] In my opinion, they should have told AC the truth. Ximena asked why he wasn't married, and he was explaining he hadn't met the right woman yet. Nothing wrong with that sort of conversation. Of course, AC is hyper sensitive to his environment and intuited El Turco's emotions.

AC is playing with fire with Mónica. Since I haven't forgiven her for a) trying to kill Ximena and the kids and b) shooting the pilot, I kind of enjoyed her being stood up. I also got a kick out of what AC said to Chacorta after deciding to blow off Mónica: Escoba nueva barre bien (a new broom sweeps clean). In this case he referred to the superior attraction of the new bedmate.

I find the ancillary characters confusing. I get that that little snapping turtle guy is, I guess, a major Villalobos player. But I didn't understand who the older man was - the one who was advising him on the ambush. And who also advised him he might want to hold off in case AC had a really good offer.

I wonder how this plot would be perceived in México. Of course, there IS corruption around cartels. But it is majorly shocking when they show the president meeting with an entire group: his cousin, the two generals and, I think, the secretary of defense, or whatever that guy who keeps playing with his moustache is called, and they are all corrupt. The whole "War on Drugs" is like kabuki theater.

La Patrona -

ah yes novelera, I had forgotten about Anibals, fish-out-of-water, heart attack,
I've gotten so that I really enjoy this actor (Joaquín Garrido), he is interesting to watch,
the "senator of the republic".

it's sad and touching at the same time, that Constanza, after all that she has been through, does not wish to harm anyone.

EL SEÑOR

Oh, one more thing. I HATED that Mejia kissed Leo back. I really like the Eugenia character and, even though he said it was a mistake, I don't like that he didn't immediately push Leo away.

Pasion Prohibida
Thanks AdrianaNoel. I really appreciate your insights. And thanks to all PP commenters.
Well, I haven't been the biggest Bianca fan, but it was heartbreaking to see her trapped and shaking in that neck brace. Contrast Bruno with his weaselly baby blues skulking the hallways.
Clara

EL SENOR

Thanks, Hombre, for the great recap. There was so much going on last night.

I'm having a time of it, keeping all the bad guys straight, and I mean the corrupt government officials, not the drug dealers. The president's cousin, Ramiro, is dirty. Is he connected to the Robles too? Or is it the guy who plays with his mustache who is the Robles' contact? And is the other general in the president's meetings also connected to the Robles? Is the president really an upstanding, honest guy or are we going to find out he's in cahoots with Ramiro? What a bunch!

Wow - Monica was really pithed! Irina (I, too, thought it was Lina) may be her next target.

The Leo/Mejia kiss - he definitely kissed her back and seemed to enjoy it. I guess I'm not surprised by this plot twist, but I like the Eugenia/Mejia relationship, and this is going to hurt Eugenia.

I can only imagine what Tia Mati's surprise for Beto will be tonight. Mati really hates Ximena and will go out of her way to get at her, even through her kids.

Beth

PASION PROHIBIDA

There will be no punishment for Ariels rape. Sorry guys

And Yair really does need to grow a d***

Pasion Prohibida

NovelaMan, I believe Ariel's punishment will come when he finally finds out about Bruno and Bianca. Which would happen a lot faster if Bruno made up his mind already.

Clara, Bianca is breaking my heart, too. Yes, she is smug and selfish sometimes and she doesn't treat the servants well, but at least she wants this farce to be finally over. I can't believe Bruno is ok with her going back to the house, to Ariel's bed, basically.

Deb, seeing Bianca in bed, so frightened at the idea of going back home and then looking at Ariel's idiot face was really priceless - is this man a moron? How could he believe that Bianca was driving to the ranch to surprise him, when her behavior has been nothing but cold and distant?

The only thing that is saving Bruno in my eyes is JC Canela, he is not only hot, but he also plays the tormented lover in a believable way. Now if only Bruno could convince Bianca they need to wait for a year or ten before making a decision about their future... next thing you know, he'll tell her they should wait for him to finish his "carera" (LOL, I'm laughing at my own jokes).
Bruno is acting like a caged animal, trying to put out fires all over the place: Bianca, Flavia, Nina, Deniz, Yair- everybody is constantly questioning him and his pretty face wasn't made for this kind of drama...I do believe he loves Bianca, though, because if not, he would have been long gone.

Shallowgal, it's always great to hear from you. I remember how you were one of the most faithful commenters around here. Believe me, there are things I'd like to write in here that are not very lady like, but I keep them for myself (or eventually, shout them at my screen).
I don't think Bianca returning to the house would be really a sign of cowardice, because I feel she is cornered a little. She is still waiting for Bruno's help, hopes that he will be there with her when she tells Ariel the truth. Besides, no matter how convinced she is to talk to Ariel, the kind of secret she has is to big and could end in tragedy, so she needs all the backup she can get.

LA PATRONA

Thanks again, Hombre, for another great recap.

Boy, was I surprised last night. Ale actually allowed Poncia to tell him about Antonia's crimes - and this time he believed her! He looked like he was in shock as he remembered Fernando's death and Gabriela's pleading with him to believe her. I think he will be ready to listen to Gabriela tonight.

Isn't it too soon for Anibal to die? He hasn't suffered nearly enough!

The (probably) drugged tea - will Poncia figure this out and tell someone? She knows what Antonia is capable of, and Ceci is her niece. I really didn't think Vero would let Ceci go to dinner at Antonia's, even with David. It's probably too late to stop a miscarriage, but Ceci's blood could be tested for drugs. I'm sure the tea has already been poured down the sink.

Beth

LA PATRONA

My compañera de trabajo, Graciela, from México, and I have been kicking around the Cecilia problem a bit at work today.

Graciela is convinced that Ceci will lose the baby. I am leaning toward her miscarriage being stopped by a miracle or Vero getting a really good doctor in the picture.

This COULD be the last straw for Poncia. She may soon decide to desembuchar (spill the beans) to someone who can do something about it (Balmaceda?)

EL SEÑOR:

Beth, here is my (not totally certain) assessment of the government guys:

1. The President, who has a Van Dyk mustache and small beard, is not corrupt (so far). All the others are.

2 His cousin, Ramiro, is ready for any deal. Of course he's now working with Aurelio. Previously, I think he got part of the action from the other two guys, who are in cahoots with the Robles.

3. The slimy guy with grey hair and a mustache is Huerta, the Secretary of Defense, working with the Robles. Remember Mónica named him to Aurelio in a moment of weakness.

4. The other general is Castro, also working with the Robles.

5. And of course General Danny is working with Aurelio.

Quite a bunch!

EL SEÑOR:

Gracias Hombre for recapping. I've just caught up from last week; without your brilliant assistance, I would have been lost. [It's a little disconcerting trying to find our comments in this group page, but having the title at the top of each entry really helps a lot.]

I gotta say, the caliber of the acting in this is so much better than the average TN. I'm thinking of Turco, Cabo &Tijeras, Oscar even the nervous hormone-addled Beto. And the women as well. These actors have much meatier roles and they are playing them well. The scripts are more sophisticated than what I'm used to over at Televisa. I haven't heard a single character say "no puede ser" (yet).

That scene with Turco and Jimena was so moving. I know the guy is a cold-blooded killer, but his manners are so refined and his adoration so-o-o unrequited, I kind of feel sympathy for him.

And the Marco/Leo kiss was inevitable. I think they were both caught up in the moment as they prepared to embark on a dangerous mission; right or wrong, these things happen in any work situation.Afterwards, they both were completely abashed at having given in to the urgency of their feelings, maybe Leo a little less so [abashed, that is], but nevertheless, I think we're supposed to believe they are people who hold to a high moral standard who were just swept away. However, now that it's happened, it can't be undone and is sure to have implications. It's this kind of verismo that makes this so much more fascinating than the run of the mill novela.

I still can't get over those gruesome scenes where Leo had to endure the ultimate indignity from that squalid pig of an Escobar. She's been so damaged that she flinches from intimacy, so I think it's a good sign that she kissed Marco, but not good in terms of complicating both their lives. I don't believe either of them could just let it go as they seemed to think it would "never happen again" Right!

EL SENOR

Thank you for the 'line up', Hombre. The politics of this executive anti-drug group are so entangled and corrupt, it makes me wonder how much General Danny (or any of the others) share in their reports to the president and ultimately the group. They're all using info against each other.

I remember Monica telling AC about the 'Secretary of Defense', but didn't remember that he is the slimy mustachioed one.

Thanks again - Beth

LA PATRONA

Novelera - I guess we will know tonight whether Ceci miscarries or not. My concern for her and the baby was that SPdO is a small town and the hospital/clinic might not be staffed and/or equipped for such an obstetric emergency. If Ceci were in the D.F., I think she'd have a better than even chance of keeping her baby. If she loses the baby, David and Gabriela will be devastated.

Beth

CIELOS:

Hombre- Thanks so much for both recaps. I was able to watch my recording of La Patrona before bed, but am falling way behind on Cielos. I can’t wait to see the moment between El Turco and Ximena. I know he’s as much of a criminal as Aurelio is, but he seems to have the capacity to stay faithful to one woman, even a woman who isn’t his. AC could learn some lessons from him about keeping it in his pants.

LA PATRONA:

I was most shocked this episode that Poncia didn't immediately suspect something when Guerra sweetly suggested the agua de Jamaica for Ceci. When has Guerra ever showed such concern for a guest? So much so that she knew excatly what alternative drink was available for Ceci to drink.

But I was really happy that Ale FINALLY listened to Poncia and accepted the truth about his evil mama. The reason why Vero decided to go to him is because she said she remembered how alone/lost she felt when she lost Tigre, and in a sense Ale had lost his mother (now that he accepted the truth about her) and must be feeling really lost right now. That's what prompted her to go over and reveal her true self to him.

LA PATRONA MIERCOLES PART I

Vero comes to Alejandro's room at the hotel and admits she's Gabriela. She's dressed in her Gaby gear:flannel shirt and jeans with her hair back and no eye makeup as proof.

Ale looks equally shocked, relieved, and knowing all at once. (Jorge Luis Pila is really a great actor--he just knows how to play every scene he's in just right! A scene like this is so easy to overdo and he and Aracely did this one just right!)

Gaby says I know you might have a ton of questions but everything has an explanation, to which Ale says "You came back to get vengeance on all of us who hurt you. You faked your death, took on another identity and I understand that you had to protect yourself in your new life." He says he was fooled at first, but he knew the minute he kissed Vero that she was Gabriela. He was just waiting on Vero to confirm it--but he knew. (I'm guessing this was the kiss in the hospital where it was obvious Vero rocked his world by kissing him and he did tell Vero then that she kisses just like Gaby. He really was impactado by that one.) In any event, Alejandro said he was icksnay it's Gabrielasnay since he had to respect Vero's pain and suffering. And besides, God heard his prayer- Gaby's alive!-if only to punish him. GabyVero tells him "I tried to hate you for me, for Tigre's sake, but I couldn't and can't. But I hate a lot of people close to you and that won't change, even if you ask me to give up my venganza." Vero is shocked Ale isn't asking more questions about all the recent crimes and deaths in town, if she isn't involved in them. Ale says it doesn't matter, God gave us a new chance to start over and I'll do better. And then a really sweet kiss.

At La Dorada Ceci leaves to go back to Vero's at La Forteleza. Balmy asks Guerra about Gabriela and Guerra asks why he's so obsessed with her.

Lucho visits Irene, aka "Duraznito" (Peaches) and she's excited to see him and they do the deed. She asks why he came back and he says sarcastically he missed her cooking and cleaning, but admits he missed her and Lucia, his reinita (his princess or dear queen). He makes breakfast for them in the morning and Lucia is so glad to see her Duende; but Lucia has a fever and this time Lucho is worried it's serious.

Patricia is in the hospital because of Anibal since she was the one who had him admitted in the hospital due to his heart attack and Ricardo shows up. Patti asks him where he was and he's trying to lie--Oh I was at the office-- and Patti goes off and says "Stop lying to me. I know you were with Ines. Be a man (Ten los pantalones) and admit it!" And then Ricardo finally admits it and decides to play the "yes I was with Ines because you weren't woman enough to get rid of my impotence" card. To which I wanted to slap the teeth out of his mouth until they covered the floor like so many chiclets. Because really, it's Patricia Montemar's fault you were impotent and didn't even want to share the marital bed with her?? She was supposed to help you when you were sleeping in a room upstairs from hers and she begged you for YEARS to share a bed?

LA PATRONA: MIERCOLES PART II
Cecila feels awful as soon as she gets back to La Fortaleza but begs off going to the hospital. The baby is just kicking because it's happy its grandmother finally accepted it, she says. Vale says, it's too early for you to be feeling kicks from the baby, please go to the hospital. Ceci says she's just tired, the pain is already gone. She wakes up in the middle of the night in serious pain and Vale, Poncia and David come over and take her to the hospital since she was bleeding. She miscarries and she and David are devastated. David feels extra guilty because he didn't want the baby at first, but he's sad Ceci lost the baby.

Balmy questions Guerra about Gabriela. Guerra asks for the benefit of the doubt. Why would she save Balmy's life if she were as awful as Balmy thinks--her life would be easier if he were dead.

Ale asks Vero what happened the day of the mine explosion and she explains everything. I went to your mother's house to find out where Tigre was; and I walked right into the trap she set for me; she told me he was in Gallery 9 of the mine and faked being worried about Tigre; I found him blooded and tortured; he begged me to get out of the mine since it was surrounded by explosives and then he died in my arms. Fernando and the miners came in the mine to investigate what happened. Fer grabbed me and saved my life because the room exploded right after he grabbed me. "He did me a lot harm," GabyVero says about Fernando, "but he gave up his life for mine." And then GabyVero talks about losing the baby. Macario beat me until I lost our child. It was the first day I was in the manicomio, he was waiting in the cell for me and said he was beating me on Guerra's recados--orders. Ale loses it and threatens to kill that miserable Macario and report his mother to the authorities. Vero reminds him they don't have any evidence or proof of any of this and they need to get it-that's why she's hiding as Veronica, to get the proof. But Vero reminds him "Your mother is such a low, base human being, she killed my child, OUR child, without caring that it was her grandchild. She hated me that much." They have a good cry and Alejandro begs GabyVero's forgiveness on his knees and asks her family to forgive him for carrying Guerra's cursed blood inside of him.

Guerra goes to see Anibal in the hospital and he tells her Coni called him. The sedatives have turned you into an idiot, Guerra says. Guerra tells Balmy, Gaston (who's smiling slyly) and Ricardo what Anibal saying Coni called him and says Anibal must be losing it and getting senile. Ricardo visits Anibal and Anibal is all delirious telling Ricardo "You know that your mother is alive, right? Tell me the truth!" over and over until the nurse tells Ric to leave since his father's heart rate is going up. Ricardo is very impactado but doesn't confirm anything Anibal says.

Vero and Ale find out that Ceci is miscarrying when Coni calls Vero on the iPhone. (Please LP writers, have the other actor actually call Aracely on the iPhone when she's receiving a call. When she's pretending to receive a call, I can see all the apps on Aracely's phone, showing that she isn't actually talking to anyone. This is like the third time it happened! You can do better because the first time she "got a call" on the iPhone, the screen had the actual iPhone screen when someone is calling.) Anywho Ale grabs GabyVero's suitcase from her car for her to put on her Vero face to go to the hospital. She's like superman--changing in the phone booth before saving the day.
Ale asks her how long she's gonna do this double-life thing--she says ask your mother--she's still being all evil and attacking everyone I love. Ceci and David were so happy and defenseless and she hurt them and I'm going to have to defend them.

LA PATRONA: MIERCOLES PART III

GabyVero in full Vero regalia-the deep eye makeup, business like but super feminine clothes, shows up in Ceci and David's room and David gives her a deep hug. Vero asks David if Ceci ate or drank anything different from the rest of the guests, hinting she could have been poisoned. David is upset by the insinuation that his grandmother could have hurt Ceci and asks Vero to leave. (He's in denial, just like Ale and still brainwashed).

David tells Ale in the waiting room that the reason why the baby died was because of him not wanting it to be born at first and Ale reassures him he had nothing to do with it. Ale says "Hey" on the sly to Coni in the burka and tells her Vero told him everything and he's glad to know she's well.

Vero and Ceci talk. Vero promises Ceci to find out how she lost the baby. Ceci asks Vero if she ate of drank anything different from the other guests and she mentions the agua de jamaica. Poncia calls Vero and tells her the remainder of the agua de jamaica (it's called sorrel in the Caribbean and made from dried hibiscus flower) was thrown out so she has no sample to give to her to test. Oh yeah, Poncia calls Vero, patrona, and she's never done that with Guerra. Vero tells Poncia not to worry, she'll test Ceci's blood; if any abortive drug is in her blood it'll show up in a blood test.

GabyVero and Ale say goodbye for now. Ale says he needs to get to know his Gaby again. GabyVero tells him, "The innocent and silly Gaby you knew is gone. All that's left is what you see here." Ale says "Well, I have to get to know this new Gaby then--the one who made me want to live again--her hate and her pain. But you'll always be mine."

David is drinking up a storm because of guilt. Poncia upbraids him for being drunk like his father. Guerra comes in to tell Poncia to stop reproaching David and speaking ill of Fernando or she'll regret it. Guerra tells Poncia she has no business intruding in David's life or criticizing him since he's going through a hard time. "Don't you have a heart??" Guerra tells Poncia. And irony and truth died at once, people. Poncia walks out extremely upset.

Guerra tells David, who's obviously feeling guilty that maybe this miscarriage was for the best--you weren't prepared to be a Dad anyway, you have to go to school and get a career. And maybe you'll find out Cecila wasn't the woman for you any way.

Ricardo and Patti are at the breakfast table and Ines calls Ric on his iPhone--they did this right with the screen showing Ines popping up. Patti answers it and tells Ines to stop calling Ricardo. Patti shoots daggers at Ricardo and tells him when she hangs up the phone that Ricardo needs to end this thing with Ines or she and Ricardito are leaving! Ricardo screams back "Don't you threaten me" and Patti walks out. (I'm not down with adultery at all, it's one of the biggies in the ten commandments, but isn't it Ric's job to at least be discreet and control Ines? Alejandro wasn't calling Patti at odd hours and throwing it in his face and blatantly disrespecting him when he and Patti were together. Good grief! Your mistress shouldn't be so bold as to call you while you're eating breakfast with your wife!"

Guerra is back in the hospital visiting Anibal who swears on his sainted mother than Coni called him. Vale visits Ceci and tells Ceci to cheer up-you'll have another baby. Ceci says "No, I'll use protection from now on, but I really wanted this baby." Vale tells Ceci she'll be her maid of honor at her wedding to Max next week, which Guerra overhears when she's coming into Ceci's room.

Pasion Prohibida

Bianca arrives home and for a woman who has just been abused and in a car accident in the span of 24 hours, she still looks like a million bucks...
Ariel decides to stay in the taller, because he sees that she is still upset.
Bianca calls Bruno and asks him to come to her room, so they can talk; but he refuses to do it, since all the family is home. So Bianca goes to his room, instead.

They end up fighting, she calls him a coward for not wanting to tell Ariel the truth and for making her come back to this house; he just asks for time, wants her to stop being so reckless. And I suggest we start a new drinking game: one shot of tequila everytime Bruno says: "No podemos hacer sufrir al tio Ariel."
Bianca suggests that what he is really scared of is that he might lose the comfort and the protection Ariel provides him, which Bruno denies, but it has to be true, since I believe deep inside Bruno is still the little abandoned orphan that Ariel rescued from misery.
So Bruno says he loves her but that is not enough for Bianca, so she breaks up with him.

Then she goes downstairs and tells Ariel they should celebrate their anniversary. Ariel has an expensive necklace for her and Flavia is overjoyed by the whole scene, while Bruno looks like he's about to throw up. He wants to leave, but everyone insists he stay and celebrate with the family.

Later they talk about the accident and how Bianca got out of the car and went to the other driver, fainting when she saw him; she knows Bruno called the ambulance, but when she finds out he spent the night at the house, she is livid (as was I when he did it).
After Bruno leaves, Flavia spreads some of her wisdom about not doing reckless things and I wonder where was that rationality a year ago when her husband found her with her lover and ended up dead.

After dinner Ariel goes to Bianca's room and, get this, people: Bianca doesn't want him to feel guilty for anything, he is the perfect man!!! Ariel goes to spend the night in the taller, anyway, telling everybody that Bianca needs the bed to herself because of her bruises.

But first he visits Bruno and gets the very interesting advice to fight for the woman he loves. After Ariel leaves Bruno literally starts to cry, but does his advice mean that Bruno decided to let go of Bianca?

No, because that is not how his brain works. Alone in his room Bruno remembers every moment he spent with Bianca, Flavia's warnings, Ariel's desperation at possibly losing his wife. But what seems to affect him the most is the promises he made Bianca to stand by her no matter what.

So he goes to her room, wants to talk, but Bianca is really upset and wants him out.

In other news, Camila gets back home with a little bit of a make-over done and Yair seems kind of interested, while Nina looks on, slightly jealous maybe?

And Guillermo continues trying to get it on with Eliana, while fighting with Nuria, who realizes he is up to no good.

LA PATRONA:

Thanks so much for the great detail in your recap J!

We really needed it with those intense scenes between Ale and Gabi, and Irene and Ric, plus the whole miscarriage and follow-up.

Ale and Gabi really opened up to each other and showed their raw emotion. Ale is a changed/stronger man.

Meanwhile, Ric is going in the complete opposite direction! I wonder if he'll have to turn into a version of his father (full of himself and his power, at odds with his wife, with a little son caught in the middle, and an evil mistress) to make him see the light again?

And I'm not sure which direction David will turn for now. He might turn his grief and guilt into self-destructive and/or patan behavior with Ceci (if he listens to Guerra).

Pasión Prohibida -

thanks so much Adriana Noel, for another wonderful recap,

I too was amazed at Bianca's quick recovery, that she is welcomed back at the house, that she has totally broken off with Bruno and is swooning Ariel in front of him, so I guess it's time to up the ante and take another lap, is it Bruno's time to chase?

if only that "pasión prohibida" wasn't always getting in the way, they could probably be pretty good friends,

is Bruno still in school, working, anything?

I was thinking Flavia's lectures to Bruno were based on her, been there, done that, doesn't work, experience, kind of nice that she is trying to impart her wisdom, but not knowing about the rape, it just doesn't click,

wouldn't it be nice if Eliana has a relationship with Guillermo and starts crashing into his cars and such,

so Camila went to Orlando on Salomon's life savings to do what, school was it, yes, she does look nice,

I'm kind of fascinated watching the young Nina, in her too high heels, too short dresses, chest out, perfect hair and makeup, prancing back and forth unnoticed in the middle of this drama, I guess we have all been there.

LA PATRONA

J desde NYC - thanks for the super detailed recap. It was an eventful episode and you caught it all.

Antonia deserves something worse than death. She is evil and ruthless, and has gone out of her way to destroy lives. No punishment will be severe enough.

I loved Gaston's little smirk when Antonia told the group at the hospital about Anibal's hallucination. Coni must have been smiling under her burka.

David is going to need a shrink - not Ines, please! He's responding the same way to trauma that Fer did, and he's still unwilling to believe Antonia is causing his and Ceci's pain. I'm guessing Gaby/Vero will step in to get him the treatment he needs.

J - I felt like smacking Ricardo too when he basically told Pati that it's her fault he's impotent with her. What an outrageous and hurtful thing to say to her, especially when she's the one who has wanted him to get treatment for his problem.

Val and Max just stepped back into Antonia's sights. I'm guessing there won't be a wedding in the D.F. next week.

Beth

LA PATRONA:

Thank you, J desde NYC, for a wonderful recap.

Antonia is despicable, and somehow she continues to be able to accomplish some of her evil ends, often covering everything up. And she has Balmy right where she wants him.

This all makes it easy for the writers to extend the show. If they wanted to, they could end it quickly. But since it's popular, they can think up endless new twists, while giving us a few new revelations each day. At this point, we have almost all the "good guys" on board with Vero's secret. I think the only one who doesn't know is Pati.

Yesterday, someone (Beth?) remarked that Ricardo was the most dishonest, honest guy ever. LOL! And so true. He has so many secrets, and sometimes looks as if he's going to explode. I agree with Vivi he has to somehow see how similar he is to his father to shake him back to being good.

EL SEÑOR DE LOS CIELOS:

Marco, Leo and the cops gather around the Villalobos' hanger/garage/hideout, waiting. Sabino is the white haired guy, the short, stocky guy is Juan Villalobos. Juan is ready to kill Aurelio. Chacorta and Turco arrive, Aurelio's not here, but we can negotiate, right? Juan is incensed, no way, even starts some fist fighting with Chacorta (who's insulting him). Danny calls Turco, who answers the phone "Aurelio?". Danny tells Turco to leave by the northern exit, the cops are on the south. Turco pretends to be talking to AC. He tells Juan, we'll see you tomorrow, 11:00 A.M., with Aurelio. They leave.

As soon as they're gone, Danny gives the order, attack! But Leo is scared, her previous time when she was shot has her legs trembling. Help me! Marco SLAPS her, and now she's okay. They burst in, some henchmen are killed, and Sabino is arrested by Marco. Leo goes after Juan, but he escapes. She feels guilty, but Marco says cheer up, we got a big fish, you did fine, I totally understand why it was hard for you. Carmen Villalobos (the actress playing Leo) is doing a great job in a role very different from her last few roles).

After Matilde's show, it's time for Bert's "present". Mati gives him a key to a hotel room and a wink. He goes there later, and she pops out. He starts to protest, but she says wait, HERE's your present, and it's another beautiful girl, who looks a lot like Mati! Since you're off limits for me, says Mati, I brought you my twin. You can touch her. Do what you like, and think of me. She leaves, and the girl says, you can even call me Mati!

In the morning, Bert comes home (with a smile on his face), Ximena is outraged, even though she doesn't know exactly what happened. Mati later says to Bert, you wished it was me, right? Well, that just might happen, and you mother doesn't have to know!

After meeting with Guadalupe and seeing how much of a loser he is, the Colombians decide to ask Aurelio for the Roble's routes. But Aurelio says no, I'm not going to betray my own people.

Mónica wants to find out if Aurelio stood her up for another woman. If so, she'll KILL her! She wants to set a trap with Roxana's help.

Ramiro tells Huerta and Castro that while they were just getting crumbs from the Robles, HE's lined up Casillas. And HE's in charge now.

Doris really wants Danny to go after Casillas. Are you afraid? Marco and Leo propose putting AC's picture all over the papers. At first Danny is hesitant, but he remembers Doris's words, and says go for it. Aurelio isn't going to be happy about THIS!

Cielos
Great, tks Hombre. I really appreciate you describing & naming the players, it's still hard for me to get them straight.

Monica is going to kill every female in Mex?

Looks like Aurelio is really going to need that plastic surgery.

La Patrona -

thanks so much J desde NYC!
I really appreciate the detail,

incredible scenes between Gabriela and Alejandro,

Alejandro who has experienced none of Gabrielas suffering, did little to prevent it, and has done nothing so far to right the wrong, but somehow Jorge Luis Pila (as you say) is really making this work, (I wish they would have included the four years she spent in the catacumba and the shock treatments)

I really like Lucho when he is playful, he is really good at recovering lost souls, if they are worthy,

I don't think Ricardo was in on the Constanza/Anibal phone call, it seems like he has to wing it a lot when it comes to the Veronica gang.

I don't know why they let Cecilia go to dinner, although it seems to be the key to turning David around,

It was nice to see Alejandro say hi to Constanza in her burka, after all she went through in the manicomio and the way she looked after Gabriela at the same time, she is such a gran mujer, I love seeing that others appreciate her as well,

loved it when Patti grabbed Ricardo's phone and answered the call from Ines,

[there was an interesting post at TW early on (before we knew much about Ines) in regards to the Ines/Ricardo therapy, in that the root of Ricardo's problem is that the actions of the prostitutes laced with the trauma of the event took away Ricardo's ability to control his sexual functions and that Ines first by sparking them back to life, would continue to push the issue until Ricardo rejected her and took back full control, and thus the cure.]

LA PATRONA

Excellent recap, J desde NYC! Thanks so much.

I really have a lot to do today and can't comment much, but I wanted to thank you for the recap.

I also thought the scene with Ale and Gaby was very well acted by the both of them. His realization that she HAD TOLD him why their baby was miscarried when she was in the nuthouse and he didn't believe her was such a blow to him.

LA PATRONA:

Thanks for the shout-outs, guys! Love last night's ep-watched it live at home and had to recap ASAP. Novelera, I agree with you that Ale's realization that GabyVero told him the same exact story ten years ago as she tokd him last night has to be a nightmare for him. Her story hasn't changed and the fact that Ceci miscarried and Guerra wasn't supportive of Ceci when he went with David to tell Guerra about the pregnancy gives him even more reason to believe Vero.

Ricardo saddens me, but I'm now convinced the writers are going for Dr Ines is crazy angle. She has a Harvard degree and is practising in SPdO? I suspect she lost her right to practice in the US and got the right to do so in Mexico because of her prestigious degree.I agree that he has to see he is acting like Anibal to reform his ways. I also think Constanza will have to call him out about it, though, before it sinks in. I think Coni likes Patti now and she'll start to sympathize with her.

LA PATRONA

Hombre - I think it was Deb who said Ricardo is the most dishonest honest man in this TN. So true, and now we can add 'despicable' to the list of adjectives for him. Ricardo definitely has the IQ points to know and understand what he's doing to Pati, but so far he has been unwilling/unable to control his obsession with 'sex with Ines'. Ricardo doesn't like Ines and has said many times he loves Pati. Pati's ultimatum ('threat') and the memory of his own childhood may help him to snap out of it.

As far as we know, in all the years since the fire no one has gone back to the manicomio to look at the dungeon for investigative purposes. I wonder if this will ever happen, and, if it does, will it have some healing effect for Gabriela and Coni.

Beth

Monica's decision to kill the sexy pilot in mid-flight was a bad one, but I'm ok with letting her crazy out on this French Rusa. That bruja needs to go.

And hey! Matilde has standards. There's a line she won't corss! Flirt and tease the nephew like all heck, but she stops at actually sleeping with him. That twin thing was both a really good idea and only slightly disturbing.

Kelly

EL SENOR

Hombre - thanks so much for getting the recap out. This was another exciting episode, especially with the women.

It does look like Monica is out to kill most of the women in Mexico since AC is determined to sleep with so many of them!

Mati is a snake, and it seems that the men are all too easily manipulated by her. Ximena may be the only person willing to take her on, but with Beto involved Ximena is going to be careful to not put him in Chacorta's sights.

Irina - what a woman! I think she'd give Monica a run for her money!

Leo went from tough-as-nails undercover narco-spy to PTSD victim in two episodes. I want our gritty, tenacious agent back.

Was Eugenia's newspaper friend hitting on her? Did I miss something?

I hope Roxana isn't being set up by Monica.

Beth

EL SENOR:

Thanks so much Hombre. I stayed up late to see the last two episodes, mainly because I wanted to see the moment between Turco and Ximena. Aurelio really picked up on the vibe Turco was giving off. I fear for Turco.

La Rusa is definitely giving Monica a run for her money. I hope Roxana manages to stay out of this mess because someone is going to end up dead.

It was funny how the Colombians and their ladies of the evening were looking at Lupe like he was school nerd to their cool kids, or slime under their shoes.

PASION PROHIBIDA
AdrianaNoel, another great and much-appreciated recap! The scene in the hospital when Bianca realized Bruno is bailing out on her--truly cringe-worthy. Guess he's not "bad", just weak. I like the way Bianca is willing to face their dilemma head-on with Ariel. Okay, someone remind me why Yair is "off" Nina; he realized it wasn't her on the balcony with Bruno, so what happened to his obsessive love for her?
J in Oregon

EL SEÑOR DE LOS CIELOS:

Bert tells his Mom he's going to finish high school. She's relieved, and seems to think he has a girlfriend. But later, Mati comes into Bert's bedroom, and starts kissing him while he's on his bed. He's trying to resist, but it's "hard" (sorry about that). However, she finally pulls away before it's too late. She knows she shouldn't be doing this, but is having trouble controlling herself.

Mónica tries to trap Aurelio by having Roxana (whom he doesn't know) to approach him at a bar. Aurelio declines to have sex with Roxana, and Mónica pops in, you passed the test, this is my sister in law! (I'm not so sure that was a well designed test, but oh well). With Mónica appeased, Aurelio then has sex again with her. Twice. She keeps wanting him to give her something back, business-wise. He finally gives her some insulting amount, like 5 kilos more per week. She's not happy.

Guadalupe continues to sink into drink, even with Roxana trying to get him to wake up.

The Colombians aren't too happy AC wouldn't give them the Roble's routes, AC says are you guys betraying your boss, going out on your own? No way, they say, they just want to get some answers. Aurelio says he'll go back to Colombia personally and tell Oscar.

Marco tells Eugenia she's everything to him, she has nothing to worry about with Leo. But we see Leo, alone in her hotel room, telling herself, he's off limits, I've got to stop myself, I can't fall for him......

Ramiro tells Huerta and Castro that Ramiro will call the shots, now. He'll decide on the percentages. And in return, he'll continue to tell his cousin the President that Huerta and Castro are doing a good job. If they cross him, he won't.

Linares, Marco, Eugenia, Leo and Orejas work together to get photos of Aurelio. And the next morning, every newspaper in 5 towns has his picture plastered on the front page, along with articles, wondering where he is. When Aurelio finds out about this, he's livid. He wants Turco to buy up all the papers! Impossible, says Turco. (the night before, Turco had called Ximena to make sure everything was okay, had turned down a prostitute from Chacorta, had gone running. Hmmmm...)

Little Victor (Chacorta's secret son) asks his Mom why he doesn't live with his father. Because he's married to another lady, honey.

The excitement continues!

EL SEÑOR:

Marco is very worried about Eugenia and Linares signing their names to the anti AC articles, but I think they signed it anyway. Will AC want revenge?

LA PATRONA:

Just a few thoughts:
Each day, someone finds out about Gaby. Last night it was Val, and she's fine with it. But no one seems to trust Alejandro, would he really go against his own mother? He gives a tearful defiant speech saying yes he would! Because he loves Gabriela.

Gonzalez ALMOST catches Lucho, but not quite. However, Lucho can't continue to go to Irene's house, it's too dangerous. Meanwhile Lucia's condition is worsening. Are we going back to that have a new child for the bone marrow thing?

Antonia tells Cecelia she's just not the girl for David, not of his "class".

Pati moves into Irene's house for about 10 minutes, but Ricardo shows up, says he's "definitely" through with Inés, and she comes back home.

Balmy continues to make zero progress in his grand investigation, even though lots of things point towards Antonia. I think we're going to have a trial. Meanwhile, what's he's REALLY bugged about is Lucho Vampa. Every single one of our good guys has been protecting him, so I guess they're all guilty of something. But really, Balmy, what about murder, fraud, robbery, rape, extortion? Shouldn't you be concentrating just a little more on those than whether someone is hiding someone who stole a wallet?

Hombre, thanks so much for the recap. And thanks again for the run down on 'all the presidents men'. Now, when 'Ramiro tells Huerta and Castro that Ramiro will call the shots', I get it!

You are much more generous in your comments about Mati's behavior with Beto (in his bedroom) than I am. I thought she was being deliberately provocative, sexually teasing the poor kid, getting him all worked up. That woman is evil, and I have this bad feeling that she's going to bring about that tragedy Ximena warned Beto about.

Chacorta looked truly concerned that Mati not find out about his other little family when he and AC talked about their sons. Another ominous hint of things to come?

Marco was worried about Eugenia and Linares signing their names to the AC drug articles. I wish he had been more adamant about how much danger they could be in. I think AC will not only want revenge but also informant names.

Leo has it bad. Not good for Eugenia.

Beth

La Patrona -

nice comments Hombre,

interesting to see the Tigre's express their doubts about Alejandro, and I think they are quite valid in doing so, and of course Alejandro is insulted, and of course Jorge Luis Pila can talk us into anything, but the guy just hasn't paid his dues, the question of will he go head to head against his mother remains to be seen, but of course this is all a moot point because Gabriela looks him in the eyes and says, I trust you,

As Gabriela has gone into attack mode, Antonia seems to be having a bad day, and even though Rod is stalking the Tigre's who wear their intentions on their sleeves, and ignoring the well hidden deeds of the Lobos, Antonia continues to arrogantly insult everyone, so uncalled for, her visit to the crushed Cecila's bedside to tell her she is just not the right girl for David, who of course has not been by her side.

Ines continues to reveal her sexual predator side, love how Patti is in her face, but I do feel for Ricardo, sex is such a basic function in a person and Ricardo after a lifetime of frustration is reeling in the confusion that Ines has unleashed, yes he could have sought help, and he eventually did and look where it has gotten him so far, it will be interesting to see how this will all unentangle itself, and of course the most powerful thing of all, is Patti's love.

I guess I had Constanza figured a bit wrong since she seemed hesitant to make the heart attack phone call to Anibal, did she say she doesn't want him to die, because she wants him to suffer?

Macario is looking a bit unsure of himself lately, since the Lobos aren't the only game in town anymore, he seemed to back down from Gastón, who was wearing a gun this time,

Seems like every day the Tigre's get larger and stronger, and the lobos smaller, are we now only left with Antonia, a shaken Anibal, and Macario, (Lagarto, Gertruduis, and mini-Macario Lucas are all still being detained), but I guess it's really Balmy (and the law) now that is tipping the hand toward Antonia, and Antonia is still dealing everyone's cards, (from the bottom of the deck).

EL SENOR
I was wrong about Matilde. There is no line she won't cross. She is the devil. Chacorta's other family is doomed.

El Señor de los Cielos -

thanks so much Hombre for the time you put into your daily comments on this show, the real color here seems to be in the details, the comments, the attitudes, the relationships, of these characters which is sometimes difficult for me to extract.

yes Beth, I see Mati's actions with Betico also intentional, and meant to tease him to the edge, she is more of a hands on person rather that with the come-hither looks.

and yes Kelly, I don't think Mati will be so caring with Chacorta's son,

so Turco doesn't drink much, doesn't carry a gun, is up early for his jogging, and pretty much takes care of all of the business including legal matters, how fortunate for the Casillas',

didn't General Daniel bring up the point that Aurelio isn't a 'wanted' man,

you'd think that Doris would have more respect for the Casillas', after they interrupted her massage, and spirited her away to possibly never to be seen again, but I guess she has this idea that they would never hurt her because her hubby the general is so powerful,

no one seems to have the ideas that Pablo Escobar gave to all, that there may be a car bomb down the road with your name on it, (I think I read somewhere that the Mexican cartels learned from Pablo's mistakes, and thus became even more powerful).

Cielos
Tks much Hombre
Beto needs lots of cold showers. Not sure if Matilde is just a tease & enjoys seeing Beto aroused or if she is horny & stops herself before the deed. Every episode I expect Chacorta to walk in on them, which I'm sure is going to happen.

Wow, AC goes after the newspapers. They must have home delivery though.
He better start searching the yellow pages for plastic surgeons.

LA PATRONA

Thank you Hombre for doing double duty on the El Senor and La Patrona recaps. It is truly appreciated by those of us whose Spanish is terrible.

I thought that, with the exception of Coni, Gaby's little band of co-conspirators, including Lucho, was a bit hard on Alejandro. Ale for his part seemed very convincing and resolute in his love and support for Gaby. I'm not usually an Ale supporter, but it's time for the gang to cut him some slack.

Hombre - "Are we going back to that have a new child for the bone marrow thing?" You may be on to something. Could this mean Irene gets pregnant with Lucho's baby? Same mother, different father could still provide a child who is a suitable donor for Lucia.

No one trusts Balmy Rod, neither the good guys, nor the lobos. And Ricardo and Gonzalez continue to block his efforts at every turn, either through lying, avoidance or just plain incompetence.

Rod's fixation on Lucho is surprising. He has said Lucho is a petty thief, so why does he keep focusing on Lucho? Maybe it's for the comic relief - Keystone Kops go to Mexico?

Well, the Preakness is this weekend, so I'm in a betting mood. I think Ines is the 4 to 1 favorite in the fidelity race, but Pati has the inside track and is moving up. Ricardo continues to be the slow starter, but odds makers see him also moving up. It's going to be a fight to the finish.

I loved Gaston quietly walking up behind Macario and showing him his gun.

Antonia is embattled on all sides - Ceci, Val, Max, Ale, the missing $2 mil, Lucas in jail, fighting with Anibal, the El Chamuco lawsuit. Macario and Balmy Rod are the only two protecting her now. It's time for Gaby/Vero to strike.

Beth

El SENOR:

Hombre- Many thanks for giving us another fab recap.

I’m with the ladies that Mati intentionally worked Heriberto up. She was upset that he wasn’t panting after her, waiting for after she finished her set at the club. She sensed she was losing her hold over him, and she was right. He had made some clear decisions about his future, a future Ximena wants for him that includes a renewed concentration on his studies, and not sexy-time with Auntie Mati. Mati went to his bedroom that night and upped the ante (with passionate kisses and near promises of sex) so that she could regain control of him.

Speaking of self-control, Turco really impressed me last night (turning down the near-naked prostitute and out running before the break of day). That phone call to Ximena was heartbreaking. So much longing on his side, and she was totally clueless and asking about AC when he was off boinking Monica, and it was so torturous for Turco knowing that.

The Casillas need to pull themselves together and start working smarter. Monica should know by now that she’s just being used by AC, and that he doesn’t find her that useful anymore. Lupe is losing all of respect that his family (Isidro) used to have with their allies and associates. They both better start listening to Roxana, or they will be finished totally soon.

Eugenia and Linares now have HUGE targets on their backs!

LA PATRONA:

Another big thanks Hombre. Vero/Gabi summed up my feelings about Balmy perfectly when she said, “Each day I have less confidence in that man.” He had so much promise in the beginning, and then two things happened: 1) He became Guerra’s lover, which short-circuited his brain cells; and 2) He found out Lucho was in town, which turned him into an obsessive nut.

I also thought the Tigres were hard on Ale, but not in their wariness of accepting him into the club. That’s normal after how he wimped out on Gabi and hurt her. I thought the accusation of him “betraying” Gabi to the Lobos was a bit harsh. Do they really think him capable of turning Gabi over to his mother and going along with his mother’s evil schemes? Sure, he has been a dope, naïve, stupid. But evil and calculating? No.

I thought Max was being really stupid to keep pushing that he and Val needed to go out and get ready for their trip, when Gaston had just told them that Macario was outside stalking them. Hello! Max knows Macario is capable of murder. Time to stick together and perhaps see about them all being assigned one of Vero’s bodyguards 24-7.

PASION PROHIBIDA pt 1

Bruno enters Biancas bedroom and the two argue. Bianca thinks Bruno is a coward. Bruno says he still needs time. Bianca is pissed that Bruno got her out of the hospital only to stick her in the Piamonte mansion. Bruno says that was the only option he had. Flav knocks on the door. Bruno hides in the bathroom.

Flav enters the bedroom, and Bianca acts as if she is talking on the phone to a friend. Flav wants to know why Bianca locked the door. Bianca says she was changing. Flav that’s that’s not a good enough reason. Bianca asks Flav if she wants people to see her naked (good point). Bianca says she was talking to a friend but Flav doesn’t believe her. And she still nags about the B&B relationship. Then she says Bianca made a good choice getting back with Ariel. “Marriage is more important than a fling” Flav claims. Flav doesn’t want Bianca to ever jeopardize her marriage again. Bianca tells Flavia to leave which she does but not before telling Bianca to “don’t lock the door”. Bianca promptly ignores this.

Bruno comes out of the bathroom. Bianca still thinks he is coward for refusing to tell the world how much he loves her. Bruno claims he needs a solution and then he will act. Bianca says on the night of the accident she was willing to tell Ariel the truth. Bruno says Bianca is the woman of his life. Bianca says to start getting used to seeing that women in his uncles bed, in his arms. (Really? Bianca would say this after that bastard raped her?!) Bruno leaves the house. Tere sees him storm out.

The servants are in the kitchen eating Camis cake. Kat seems to be eating the most of it claiming she hardly ate at all. Tere tells the servants that Bruno left the house pissed off. Cele says it seems everyone was pissed off today. Cami says Flav is the only one who looked happy. Kat says she wont talk about her boss. Cami would, but shes tired and wants to got to sleep. Cele and Tere will keep talking. Yair takes Cami to her bedroom. Kat looks jealous.

At the workshop, Nina fixes some sheets on the couch. Ariel tells Nina that he and Bianca haven’t reconciled completely. Nina wants to know what was so terrible about the argument. Ariel says its private but hes sure things will get better. He thought he would lose Bianca when she got in the wreck. He was scared of losing her when he was very much in love. Nina kisses him goodnight.

Yair is in Camis room. He claims he missed her. Yair says a lot happened when Cami left. Cami says she couldnt believe Bianca would leave the house. Yair says shes capable of more. Cami asks what happened. Yair says nothing happened. Cami says something mustve happened for Yair to say this. Tere comes in the room and Yair says goodnight to the two.

Bianca calls Bruno. Bruno is in a bar when a woman approaches him. Bruno ignores the call. Then Ariel calls him and Bruno heads to the bathroom. Ariel asks Bruno how Eli is doing. Bruno says Eli is out of the hospital but acting worse. He thinks she needs psychiatric help. Ariel says he actually called for something else. He wants to thank the man who called 911 when Bianca had the wreck. He needs Brunos help in finding this person.

PASION PROHIBIDA pt2

The next morning, Willy calls Eli, he tells her he doesn’t think Maria likes him, and tells Eli to be careful around her. He doesn’t want Maria to turn her back on the two of them. He wants to meet up with Eli. She says shell call him to confirm if she can. Nico catches Willy on the phone. He tells his father he will not let him hurt his mother. Willy tells him he can do whatever he wants. Nuria catches the two arguing (or not).

In the kitchen Yair and Tere have the newspaper. Apparently the family of the man Bianca crashed with may sue the Piamontes. Cele wants to know why. Tere says because said family thinks the wreck was Biancas fault. Cami comes in and asks them to see the article about Elis attempted suicide. Yair cant believe any woman would commit suicide over a traitor like him. Salo asks Yair why he thinks that way. He says because he knows. Salo says he doesn’t, Yair could get in trouble if a family member heard his comment. Yair leaves. Tere thinks Yair is acting stranger every day. Salo thinks hes rude. Cami says Yair mentioned that many things happened while she left. Did she miss anything? Cele says apart from Biancas fight with Ariel nothing happened. Yair never told the other servants anything.

In Elis penthouse, Willy tells Eli his plan to bring down the Piamontes. The man that Bianca crashed with is in a serious condition. If would help them if the man died or worse, ended up paralyzed. The family could sue the Piamontes. Eli says Ariel has an army of lawyers who will defend Bianca. Willy says he has an army of lawyers as well. He will have them defend the poor man.

In the main entrance, Cami is cleaning the floor (and listening to her mp3) when Nina walks in on her. Nina says she likes her hairstyle. Yair says Cami does look pretty. Cami says Yair needs a makeover of his own. He says he doesn’t but Cami thinks he could use a Ricky Martin haircut. Cami asks Nina what did she need. Nina says she was looking for Santi and heads back upstairs. Yair notices Cami staring at him.

At the House of Horrors, Bruno calls the police station to see if they have record of the people who call 911. But they don’t seem to understand him and hang up on him.

Maria visits Eli who tells her that
Willy is going to attack the Piamontes. Maria doesn’t get it. Shouldn’t Eli be happy? She asks if Willy wanted anything from Eli. Eli says no. Not yet. Maria asks Eli if she is capable of sleeping with Willy on order to get back at Bruno.

Willy goes to the hospital to talk to the victims wife. She tells him that Ariel has paid all the bills and that her husband is safe. Willy says that Ariel is giving her pocket change and if she lets him he will do everything in his power to milk Ariels money. Willy also promises to throw Bianca in jail.

At the Piamonte company, Bruno tells Ariel that he called the police station but they wouldn’t give him the phone number of the caller. Ariel thinks if the police wont give it to Bruno they will give it to him. But Bruno says that the caller wanted to remain anonymous. Ariel doesn’t know why. He is grateful for the caller and wanted to thank him personally.

Bianca is unpacking her clothes when Flav walks in. She wants Bianca to throw her anniversary party. She couldn’t care less if the wrecked man lives or dies. Bianca thinks Flav is being rude. Flav tells her to throw the party, act like Bianca Piamonte, and try a little harder in the sack. Bianca leaves the room.

PASION PROHIBIDA pt3

Salo compliments his daughter on her beauty. Yair thinks she is more beautiful as well. Cami thinks Yair is complimenting her too much. Even in front of Nina. Cami asks if Yair is using her to make Nina jealous. Yair says he has nothing to gain from that and doesn’t want Cami to think things that are true. He will stop complimenting if she wants him to. Yair leaves the kitchen.

In Ariels office, Bruno tells Ariel he agrees with Bianca that it would be a little insulting to celebrate while the wrecked man is in the hospital. Ariel tells Bruno that the wrecked man recovered successfully though Bianca will try to find another excuse. She is still pissed about their argument and he doesn’t know how to get her to forgive him. Bruno says that if the two throw an anniversary party it would mean Bianca decided to make peace with him. Bianca calls Ariel. Ariel tells Bianca that the wrecked man if safe and asks her if they should celebrate. Thanks to Flav, Bianca says yes but she wants a small party. Ariel is okay with this and gets Flav to plan the party.

Several days later, the anniversary party is held. Nina asks for Bruno. Deniz tells her that he will show up soon. Flav says Bruno always shows up when he pleases. Bianca tells Ariel she thinks its rude of Bruno not to show up, but Ariel says he will eventually. Thanks, Hombre, for keeping us all on the same page with your excellent daily summaries.

Since we are being invited over and over to make the comparison with Escobar, here goes:

Escobar, murderous thug though he was, worked very hard at image control. If he was able to hide in plain sight for most of his time in power, it was because he had so many ordinary people believing he was on their side.

Casillas, on the other hand, is on no one's side but his own. Selling drugs to his own people? That makes him vulnerable in a way Escobar never was. Mejía's strategy recognizes this and takes advantage of it.

thanks so much NovelaMan!
there was a lot of little things that I missed,

so Bianca is back with Ariel, to make Bruno suffer,
and it is all working out so well,

I'm amazed that Guillermo is a successful businessman,
he seems to spend his entire life getting back at others.

LA PATRONA:

The Tigres should have told Ricardo they were going to scare Anibal--it would have lessened his overt shock and sympathy for his father--or at least make him prepared for feeling sorry for him.

I have to defend Alejandro because although he was naive, he wasn't malicious. He didn't have any information to tell him that getting Gaby out of the way was a way for the lobos to financially enrich themselves. Anibal lied to him about Chamuco and the lobos hid their role well until the mine was so mismanaged they had to expose their role to get Alejandro to fix it. Once he knew they had lied to him about Chamuco, he started to investigate. Also, Poncia never shared the info about his mother killing his father until two months ago. Without those two facts, he can't put together the fact that his mother isn't just controlling, but evil.

PASION PROHIBIDA

My skin hasn't stopped crawling since Bruno condemned Bianca to go back to THAT house, with THAT man, and sleep in THAT bedroom where she was raped by her husband for not having sex with him in two weeks. I just can't believe it. I'm not the biggest sympathizer with Bianca, but I definitely am more sympathetic now! And Monica really played that horror well. Still gives me the shivers, seeing her walk back into that room with he-who-shall-not-be-named lurking behind her... It does seem like they're really glossing over the whole rape thing, which makes me nauseous. I won't be able to look at Ariel without shuddering ever again.

How long was Camila in Orlando anyway? Like, a week? It was kind of funny how they raved over her make-over like she had been gone a year and come back totally different... more make-up, a kind-of different hairdo, fancier clothes, I actually preferred pre-Orlando Camila I think. Yair has done quite the 180 where she's concerned--it definitely makes me wonder if she's right about him trying to make Nina jealous.

Another skin-crawler... Guillermo. I have to FF through most of his scenes, especially when he's got his sweaty paws all over Eliana (no matter how annoying she is).

Thanks AdrianaNoel for the recaps!!

PASION PROHIBIDA

P.S. I am annoyed at Bruno's being so paralyzed in being able to confront his uncle (especially in suggesting that Bianca go back to the house), but I understand to a degree, and JC is interpreting it really well I think. Ariel raised him, saved him from abandonment, and mentored him better than any biological father would have... I think he feels greatly indebted to him as well as the kind of love he would have had for a father. He feels intensely guilty for the feelings he has toward Bianca and how they have acted on those feelings, and is torn between this strong need he has for her and the loyalty he feels toward the man who gave him his life.

Sure, the comfy living doesn't make it any easier, but I don't think that's the main reason he doesn't want to tell Ariel yet. I think he is honestly dreading hurting his "father." Although, I must say, knowing what Ariel did to Bianca, I was not expecting him to push her back into the Piamonte mansion!
