PASION PROHIBIDA pt1

Yair pulls out his camcorder. He records a video in which he confesses to Ariel that B&B are betraying him. B&B are lovers. He wanted to tell him but he didn’t want to hurt him and he cant take it anymore. Cami calls for him. Pen punched a tire and she needs Yair to replace it. Cami apologizes for being rude earlier. Yair says its no big deal. Cami notices the camcorder and asks Yair if he was filming himself. He says he wasn’t. Cami wants to use it. Yair wont let her and he wants her to get out. She peeks as he is putting the camcorder away in the top shelf. He snaps at her to get out.

Flav is complaining as Deniz shows up. Flav is pissed that no one is attending to her. Deniz will call for servants but first she needs to talk to Flav. Flav doesn’t want to talk. Deniz has heard about the rumors of Bruno and Nina being in a relationship. Flav says that they aren’t rumors. The cousins are in a relationship. Deniz says that the two of them know nothing is going on between the cousins. Flav says that Deniz should speak to Nina and not complain to her. And Flav says she has her own suspicions. Nina overhears the conversation downstairs. Deniz asks if Nina told her this. Flav says no but has become good friends with Nina. Deniz says that she shouldnt tell suspicions to Ariel like it’s the truth. Flav says that Bruno confessed to Bianca that he is in love with Nina. Nina gets excited at hearing this! Deniz cant believe it. Flav says even Ariel knows. Forbidden loves are the ones worth fighting for says and leaves Deniz. “Bruno loves me!” Nina tells herself.

Cami sneaks in Yairs room and gets the camcorder but Salo catches her. He doesn’t like that she is snooping through Yairs stuff. Cami says that she only wanted to use the camcorder. Salo says that she should’ve just asked Yair. Salo plans to tell. Cami begs him not to. Salo says that if Cami was just borrowing the camcorder she wouldn’t get scared. He gets her to put back the camcorder in its place while griping at her.

In Ninas room, Santi is playing cards with Bruno and loses (Is Nina wearing anything under that gown?!). Santi leaves and Nina tells Bruno that the two of them are more than just cousins they are special friends. Nina tells Bruno he can trust in her with anything. He can tell her anything he fells. Bruno says the only thing he is feeling right now is sleepy. He kisses Nina on the cheek (Its obvious she wanted it on the lips!).

Yair continues filming himself. He tells Ariel that he caught Bruno and Bianca kissing in the balcony. Next he caught them making love in Ariels workshop. Cami bursts in catching Yair filming himself. She offers to help him. He doesn’t need help. She wants to see what he filmed. He refuses and she takes his charger and runs off (The idiot could just go to Salomon).

Nina enters Brunos room and after watching him with lust crawls on top of the bed (Leaving the door open allowing anyone to walk in) and kisses him first on the cheek then moves on to his lips. She leaves (was she shocked by her behavior?) and closes the door Bruno touches his lips and smiles to himself. (Did he know?)
Nina gets tom her bedroom

PASION PROHIBIDA pt2

Nina gets to her bedroom and get under her bedsheets. (Remorseful or exited? This got me confused)
Yair is watching his video when suddenly the camcorder shuts down on its own. At first he is confused but then he remembers the charger.
Bruno is walking down the hallway. After checking carefully he enters Biancas bedroom. Bianca wants to know what he wants at this hour. He wants to give her a goodnight kiss. She wants him to leave. She doesn’t know what hes taking about. Bianca thinks he was dreaming or crazy. “Maybe it was Eliana. Or Nina.” Bianca tells him. Bruno leaves into the hallway.

Downstairs Yair wakes up Salo who wants to know what he is doing awake at this hour. Yair wants his charger. Cami shows up and Salo asks for the charger. Tere shows up and sleepily gives up the charger. Cami doesn’t know why he is obsessed with the camcorder. Salo reminds Cami that she bought him the camcorder. The 3 exchange good night.

Nina is in the kitchen. Yair turns on the lights. Nina tells him she coudnt sleep and she is hungry. She didn’t mean to make noise and disturb anyone. Yair mentions the music box and Nina says she didn’t want to throw it away it was just going to the storage room. This doesn’t make Yair feel better. Nina says she was redecorating her room and She didn’t see a place for the music box. Yair says nothing matches her style. But she shouldn’t worry about him. Bruno shows up and Yair leaves in anger.

Yair throws the charger at his bed and remembers overhearing Nina and Paula reading his letter “Let the music keep you company every night” Paula reads “With a lot of love…Yair?!” Yair grins at the other side of the door. Yair is listening to the music box and then remembers Nina telling him that she wanted Cami to put the box in the storage room. He throws the box in anger.

Bruno asks Nina if Yair is pissed. Nina says it looks that way. He asks her if she knows what he meant by “Now I know why you’re here”. Nina doesn’t know. He asks why she is up. She says she was hungry. He asks if she was in the kitchen for long. She says was in the kitchen just a few seconds before he showed up. Bruno says that’s weird since he woke up thirsty with dry lips. Nina leaves. Bruno asks wasn’t she hungry. Nina says he can have the sandwich. Nina heads upstairs with Kat spying on her.

Yair is watching the tape for the third time. He gets all teary-eyed and erases the video.

The next morning, in Flavs bedroom, Kat tells her about seeing Nina at night. The Bruno/Nina romance seems to be true. Flav asks if she saw anything. Kat says she woke up when she heard and noise and saw Nina. Flav tells her to keep spying. Kat leaves as Bianca enters. Flav tells her that the romance is there. Bianca says there is no romance. Flav says Kat told her. Bianca cant believe Flav would stoop down to the level of a maid. Bianca cant take Flavs joy away: Her plan is working as expected. She says the truth will be revealed. Bianca says lies will be exposed. Flav says she is doing this to cover up Biancas lies. Bianca leaves in anger.

Bianca storms into Brunos bedroom. (Wasn’t he living in the House of Horrors?) Bruno tells Bianca she cant just barge in he is getting dressed. Bianca says he did the same thing with her. She demands to know what he was doing to Nina last night.

PASION PROHIBIDA pt3

Bruno thinks Bianca is jealous. She tells him to be careful. People are watching his every move. He says he was thirsty and went downstairs and ran into Yair and Nina. All he did was talk to Nina. Bianca wants him to swear to her. Bruno offers to kiss her. Bianca says she cant stand him and leaves.

In the kitchen, Salo asks everyone what is going on with the nightime visits. Yair says that all he wanted was the camcorder charger. Salo tells Yair that Cami snuck into his room to take the camcorder. Cami says all she wanted was to borrow it. Salo says that a lie. Yair says that just because she gave him the camcorder doesn’t mean she can take it from him like that. Salo tells the servants no more nocturnal visits.

Nina is with her psychiatrist. She tells him that she heard Bruno tell Bianca that he loves Nina. She doesn’t get why he would tell Bianca and not her. The psychiatrist says Bruno must have his reasons. Nina thinks surely Bruno would know that she feels the same about him. But the fact that he loves her is enough to make her happy.

Salo asks Yair if he fully charged the camcorder. Yair says he did last night. Cele doesn’t know his obsession with it. Tere says that mentioning the camcorder will set off another war. Cele asks why. Tere shuts her mouth. Cami returns with coffee. Sala asks if she offered any to B&B. Cami did not. Salo wants her to go do it. Cami says that Bianca is in Brunos bedroom. Bianca could fire her. Tere agrees. Cele asks why was Bianca there. Cami doesnt know and didn’t plan to find out.

Willy shows up in Pens house. He tells her that she needs to tell Nico to leave Ariel and join him (Willy). Ariel will fire him soon. Pen says Nico isn’t a double crosser. Willy says that he will leave Nico Pen and their kids in the street if Nico doesn’t.

In Elis apt, she is crying to Maria about what a pig Willy is. Maria thinks she should break up with him. Eli fears he will hit her. Maria says he could get in serious trouble if he did. Maria says she should stop the revenge plan. Eli says it isn’t about revenge anymore. She is being sued for 2 mil. She cant get any money for 2 mil. Maria says Ariel cant sue her if she doesn’t have that kind of money. She needs to say goodbye to Arrendondo and Piamonte.

Cami enters Yairs room. She asks him why is he acting weird again. Yair asks how is he supposed to react after what he heard. Cami doesn’t understand the mystery behind the camcorder. Yair says he can do what he wants with it. Cami at least want to know what he recorded. Yair has enough. She asks if he is revealing a secret. He says “yes now leave me alone.” Cami asks if its that bad. Yair gets pissed “Camilla please! ” Cami: “As bad as being in love with Nina?”

PASION PROHIBIDA pt4

In Ariels office, Francis asks him if he will give Nico the job. Ariel isn’t sure. Francis thinks they need to be careful around Nico after what happened in NYC. He cant be completely trusted. Nico shows up and Francis leaves. Areil asks about the transactions. He says they are being investigated. If Nico knows anything he should tell him. Nico says he didn’t know about the transactions or Willys affair with Eli. Nico says he didn’t mean to fight with Bruno. Ariel didn’t know anything about this. Nico says they ran into each other at a bar and he didn’t feel good. Ariel says they are civilized men not caveman and starts to tell him off but Nico says it wont happen again. (I would think not considering he got his ass handed to him!) Ariel then says he wont be an executive anymore. He will be a work site supervisor.

Bianca is looking out the window. Bruno shows up and calls her pretty. Bianca doesn’t want to talk. She is concerned about the rumors. Bruno says that he has nothing with Nina. He loves Bianca. Bianca is still hurt by Brunos one night stand. Bruno insists that he loves her he tries to kiss her but she turns away. Nina shows up saying she came back from her psychiatrist. Bruno says he is leaving and kisses her on the check of course. It is clear Bianca is jealous.

Eli shows up at Piamonte enterprises. She wants to talk to Ariel. The secretary says Ariel is busy but she is welcome to wait. Francis spies on Eli.

Nico asks Ariel if he is punishing him for Willys actions. Ariel says he just needs someone more trustworthy for the time being.
Francis calls Ariel to tell him that Eli is in the building. Ariel doesn’t want to talk to her. Francis says that she probably wants to talk about the trial since the date is getting closer. She tells him that since Nina and Bruno are indeed in love they would look like fools trying to sue her. Ariel sends Nico out. Nico and Eli see each other. Eli tells Ariel that she is the last person he probably wants to see but she wants to make a deal.....

EL SEÑOR DE LOS CIELOS, Part 1

The tension rises, as Ximena remains captive of the Villalobos gang. The chunky henchman called Gordo tries to feed her some food, but she spits it out defiantly. This angers Gordo, who unties her, takes her over to a bed, intending to rape her. Ximena weeps, struggles futilely against the brute, but Juan comes in, is outraged, and clocks Gordo in the head, breaking a glass liquor bottle, rendering him unconscious. As Gordo is taken away, Juan reassures Ximena he doesn't mean to hurt her. She asks how long she'll be held. Could be weeks, he says. But you'll be okay. You'll be back with your little Rutila. Back with you son who's having an affair with your sister in law. Xime is shocked, you know all this? Oh yes, we know a lot about your family (they've been spying for a while). But you'll be released safe and sound. That is, if your husband cares about you enough!

Back at the safe house, Don Cleto warns Aurelio, I'm leaving this in your hands, but if you don't get my daughter out of this, you'll be sorry! After he leaves, Aurelio says to his guys, how dare that guy disrespect me. I'm going to have to teach him a lesson! (Later, Don Cleto tells Alba, you'd better control your boys! I'm normally a peaceful man, but if Aurelio can't save Ximena, I won't be responsible for my actions!).

Aurelio tells Turco to contact Irina, and also contact Topo and his group. Turco meets with Irina, and says Ximena has been kidnapped. “YOUR Ximena? she snickers. Turco doesn't appreciate this candor, says we need Ramiro to get Sabino Villalobos out of jail. Irina calls Ramiro, but it's no dice. Impossible. We can clean up Aurelio's name a bit, but we can't get Sabino out.

The way to clean up Aurelio's name? Ramiro tells Huerta and Castro. It's simple, just give the public something else to think about. Then Aurelio Casillas will be yesterday's news. They manufacture a worker's strike (huelga de obreros). This works like a charm. When Eugenia writes her next anti druglord story, her editor tells her, good work, but it's not going on the front page. Why not? Because the new story is the workers strike. And Eugenia, I want you to cover that story. Get to work! Eugenia is disappointed, she had told Marco she couldn't attend Doris's dinner with the bigwigs, since she was going to keep working on her antidrug stories.

Speaking of that dinner, Ramiro tells his wife Sonia they're invited. Good, she says, at least you won't be with one of your golfas (whores). She then secretly listens in as he first talks to Irina, then someone else, and gets quite an earful. She hears a bit about releasing Sabino, a little about “El Señor de los Alturas”, and also the fact that they can't touch Marco Mejías, who is an incorruptible cop. Sonia then calls Marco at the police station. Mr. Mejias, I have some very important information about corruption at the highest level of government. But M'am, says Marco, who are you? She won't tell, but don't you want to hear what I know? Marco agrees, and she tells him a lot (we don't hear the details). He insists he can't do anything without confirmation, we need to know who you are. She tells him, at Daniel Jiménez Arroyo's dinner party, you'll find out. What? Marco realizes the mystery lady will be at the party. Orejas had taped this phone call, and Marco is also going to tape as much as he can at the party, with a listening device Orejas will provide. Then they'll compare tapes and figure out who the lady is.

EL SEÑOR DE LOS CIELOS, Part 2

Meanwhile, what's up with the Colombians? Do you think I have a CLUE? Here's what I think. They've met with Guadalupe, promised him some extra drug shipments, just for him, Aurelio doesn't have to know. Then they meet with Topo, and promise HIM some extra drug shipments, Aurelio doesn't have to know! Maybe they'll now meet with Aurelio, and promise HIM something extra. In other words, I think they're setting up all the Mexicans to go against each other, and then Oscar will jump in. But I'm not sure. And Cabo again has some secret he's telling Tijeras. Help!

Speaking of Topo, he and Pollo are brought before Aurelio, who asks did you have anything to do with the kidnapping of Ximena? Topo tries looking Aurelio in the eye (difficult, since he's usually looking at the ground), and tells him, are you kidding, I didn't even know about it. And I've always been loyal to you. Aurelio believes him, but wants his help (possibly in some attack on the Villalobos if they can't get Sabino out?)

Aurelio, angry that Ramiro wouldn't get Sabino out, calls Danny. They meet in person at the “normal place”, some aircraft hangar I think, and Aurelio tells him you have to get Sabino out, Ximena has been kidnapped. Impossible, says Danny. There's this new guy Benítez, and he's all over us. Pay him off, suggests AC. No, he's incorruptible, replies Danny. Look, bud, says AC, if my wife gets killed, they'll be a lot more people killed, get it? And you know, once you're in this, there's no exit. So you'd better do something, even if it's just transferring Sabino, like to some prison hospital ward, or something like that. I'll do the rest. Danny swallows hard. Maybe he'll do it. He's probably also hearing the words of his wife Doris who keeps telling him, don't be a baby. Turn Casillas in. You're the general. You've got to end this. But Danny knows it's not so simple.

Bert is upset, he's home, they won't let him see his Dad, he feels powerless, frustrated. Mati comes up, cheer up honey, we're all affected, I feel worried, too. Yeah, right. He rails at her, we CAUSED this! I should have listened to all the people who told me not to get involved with you. If we hadn't done this, you and my mother wouldn't have argued, and she wouldn't have been kidnapped! I should just tell your husband what you did, how would you like THAT! Fine, says Mati, here's the phone. She dials Chacorta, hi honey, Bert here has something to tell you. Chacorta tells her I'm a little busy now. Mati hands the phone to Bert, go ahead, big man, do you have the balls? Bert takes the phone, hesitates for a few seconds, then tells Chacorta, put my Dad on. He tells his father, look, Pa, I wish I could be there with you, you have my total support, if there's anything I can do, just let me know. Thanks, son, says Aurelio, that means a lot to me. (I think the kid is growing up before our eyes).

CIELOS, Part 3

The dinner party at Doris's is tonight. Marco couldn't convince Eugenia to go, since she was going to work on her story at the paper (not knowing the workers strike would be deemed so important). She even said, why don't you take Leo? Marco tells Leo this, and Leo is amused. She actually said you should take ME? But she doesn't want to go either, because if she's going undercover, she doesn't want all those generals to have seen her recently, wants to stay under the radar. In fact, she has a little surprise for Marco. What is it? She goes in the other room, comes out a few minutes later. Whoa! Dressed in a slinky short purple minidress, high heels, long legs, dress tightly wrapped around her awesome figure, wearing a pretty long haired wig covering up her normal pageboy, smokin' hot, she sexily strides into the room, leaving Marco boca abierta. Do you think a druglord would be attracted to this? Marco sputters, croaks, uh, well, any man would fall at your feet! She smiles seductively. Really? She moves closer, closer, wraps her arms around Marco, and their lips meet!

CIELOS

Wow, Hombre! What a terrific recap!! I wish I could add something, but you covered everything I remember and some things I didn't catch. Thank you VERY VERY much!!

Cielos
Great Hombre, tks

I can't decide which of the women is the best looking, they are all gorgeous.
Aurelio is going to get himself a cop, but I doubt he will reveal any useful info, however Leo might meet some of his contacts.Even Monica was brought to their last tryst blindfolded.

I just knew Juan wouldn't let that creep rape Ximena.

CIELOS:

Great recap! This was a good set-up episode, and some interesting developments like the wife of the president's cousin. I really wonder how the kidnapping and dinner party are going to play out.

I was so glad Juan stopped Gordo, but he looked like he got pretty far in his rape of Ximena.

Turco lost his cool there with la Rusa. If she wasn't 100% sure before that el Turco is in love with AC's wife, she certainly knows now.

I had to LOL at the Colombian's watching those girls exercise. Those guys inject some much needed humor into this dark tale.

Variopinta- ITA. The women in this tn are all beautiful. In that getup, Leo will definitely catch AC's eye, but I'm not sure how she plans to be different than all the rest. We'll have to see, I guess.

We have AC swearing to kill Cleto for dressing him down, and we have Cleto vowing to pop a cap in AC's a** if anything happens to Ximena. Hmmm...this can't end well.

CIELOS

There was something with Danny and Aurelio that I didn't catch the details of. Aurelio let something slip that suggested he had someone else high up in the gov't, Turco shut him him up in that smooth Turco way, and Danny went after Aurelio about this. Aurelio covered, telling Danny he's the main man (or something) while Turco subtly rolled his eyes in annoyance at Aurelio's blabbing. This hint might make Danny think twice about helping in the future.

I think Cabo and Tijeras just want to get this done and get back to Colombia. They've been making fun of Mexican food being always spicy, and I think Cabo compared horchata to sperm. But he did enjoy watching those girls. That may be the most exercise his track suit has ever seen.

Kelly

PASION PROHIBIDA:
Thanks a lot, NovelaMan, for the detailed recap.
Agree, Nina was confusing but I think she was overwhelmed with emotion but still thinking, what am I doing? She is sort of waiting for Bruno to declare himself.
Ariel is going to chide Nico for not being a civilized man? We haven't forgotten, Ariel!
If Yair does finally reveal, the cause will be Nina's disrespecting his music box gift?
Clara

Cielos
I don't think that Gen Dan knows that Aurelio & Ramiro are cohorts.

CIELOS:

That was a BIG slip up by Aurelio revealing he has deals with someone else high up in government, someone closely tied to the president. He's asking for help from all these people to get Ximena free, but all these people are people he betrayed and screwed over. For example, it was ironic that he is asking for General Dan's help when HE (AC) kidnapped Dan's wife not too long ago. I'm surprised she didn't throw that in Dan's face when she spoke to him.

CIELOS

Terrific recap, Hombre! Lots happening last night. I was surprised they carried over Ximena's kidnapping for more than one day. For some reason I thought it would be resolved.

Mathilde surprised me a bit last night. I expected an evil grin about what happened to Ximena, but she actually seemed genuinely concerned. Beto finally let her comfort him but, I'm sure he's done with the "action".

The guy playing Don Cleto is doing a great job, just as he did as El Tigre Suárez. One minute he's fond grandpa to Rutila and the next he's more or less telling Doña Alba to rein in her son...or else.

Kelly, very funny about Cabo's track suit not seeing much exercise! That was a weird scene, in my opinion, but funny. Normally they show the hot and cold running hookers draped all over the narcos, but for some reason they wanted to watch them lift weights.

Fernando Solórzano is fantastic as Oscar Cadena, just as good if not better in the same role in El Cartel. He's smooth. The violence is far under the surface, unlike Aurelio's. I got a kick out of what Topo said, in that clipped norteño accent: "You Colombians always wrap up deals in too many words."

Meanwhile, like the plotters in Shakespeare's Julius Caesar, Cabo and Tijeras exchange glances and occasional whispers as they watch Oscar's masterful "political" moves. Right now they don't dare make any moves, but something is brewing.

El Señor de los Cielos -

thanks so much Hombre,
great comments all!

these bad guys rape and kill everyday but I guess the more successful ones put business first which is what I guess upset Juan about Gordo raping Ximena, the only way I see this working out is for Juan to force Aurelio to respect him, but I don't think that will ever happen, and wasn't Juan's original plan to just kill Aurelio, but I guess now he wants his brother back,

I'm probably wrong here but I was thinking Aurelio wanted Topo to get in touch with Juan to kind of smooth things along,

didn't Ramiro's wife, Sonia, have a rag over the phone trying to disguise her voice,

that was an interesting scene between Matilde and Heriberto, I don't think she was really bluffing when she dialed the number and handed him the phone, I think in part she plays these weird games with Chacorta to keep him interested, but when Beto asked to talk to his dad, didn't Matilde go a bit pale with the dark clouds moving in, like in one step away from a heart attack,

interesting that when the Colombians set up for business, there is always some money in the budget for plenty of fresh young pretty girls,

ah yes, Danny-in-the-middle, now sees that Aurelio has worked a way around him and may not need him anymore, this guy is quietly self destructing, he seems so all alone and I keep wondering why he is not totally surrounded by his handpicked army,

Gabriel Porras (Marco) is a pretty first class actor that usually sets the pace, but the way Carmen Villalobos (Leo), dressed so stunningly, moved up close to him, it was mesmerizing.

LA PATRONA:

Not a recap, but let me just say this was one of the most powerful episodes ever. We had an amazing scene where each one of the Tigres pledges to do whatever it takes, legal or not, to bring down the lobos.

We also had Balmy essentially break up with Antonia, wondering why every one in this town hates her so much. She warned him not to cross that threshold and leave, but he did anyway.

Balmy later spoke to Gaston, who filled him in on LOTS of things, especially the fact that every witness to Antonia's crimes has been silenced. When questioned on how he knows, if they're all dead, Gaston said "journalist's privilege". (He could have said Gaby told him before she died, since she lived through the mine explosion, just died much later).

We also had Gaby saying no, she doesn't trust Irene. But Lucho made a valiant argument that Irene has changed since her daughter got sick, and Ale agrees, punishing Irene would hurt little Lucia.

Now, it's time for the Tigres to fight back!

Pasión Prohibida -

thanks so much NovelaMan,

Yair and his new camcorder, and Camila persistently grabbing for it, is driving everyone, myself included, NUTs!!! is this going to be some sort of suicide note and the last memories we will have of him, or is he just rehearsing for his big reveal, this guy really has too much time on his hands which he should be devoting to becoming better educated, more sophisticated, and a true match for Nina,

wow, Nina overhearing Deniz and Flavia talking about Bruno's confession of love for her... she has lived such a sheltered life, I don't think she has ever considered a life outside of that house, and this fits perfectly,

incredible scene where Nina appears in Bruno's room, a teenage girl with hormones running wild, how does a person ever survive those years,

and then Bruno appearing in Bianca's room to return the kiss, wrong room?

and the next day, Bianca storms into Bruno's room, her make up so plain, smooth and pale, with intense sad eyes and two cherries for lips, jealously demands to hear about Bruno's late night rendezvous with Nina in the kitchen,

and the staff wonders why Bianca is once again in Bruno's bedroom,

elsewhere,
Nico, Nico, Nico, why oh why did he trust his dad, he seems to work so hard, from daybreak to late at night, doing the best he knows how, providing for his family, and he is always caught in the crossfire,

meanwhile Bruno juggles his one class a month with his ex's going wacko, and wonders why he is not Nico's boss.

La Patrona - friday, episode 98, "Hora de justicia"

Balmy walks in on Antonia throwing things at her little hooker girl trying to give her some class, he, apparently touched by Gastón's radio broadcast, wants to know why so many people hate Antonia, blah, blah, she tells him not to walk out on her, he does,

the Tigre's take the gloves off, there is no law in San Pedro, as Ricardo isn't so sure about breaking the law part, but goes along,

Lucia and Irene chat, Lucia doesn't want a divorce but agrees Irene and Alejandro are better off separated, on their Duende, Irene admits she likes him, Lucia says she wants to marry him when she grows up.

Antonia declares her love to a drunken passed out David, "everything I do is for you",

Antonia's little hooker is bored, brings the back room boys, Lucas and Macario, a bottle and a break from their spy duties, they are reluctant to associate with the upper class, but she convinces them that she isn't,

Alejandro declares his eternal loyalty to Gabriela, he has done this often throughout the show, while Lucho and Constanza watch on their security screen, Constanza wants to know why Lucho likes tormenting himself,

Gastón takes Francisca home who insists on being left alone, she needs to talk to her dead friends,

Irene and Lucho talk, she tells him about Lucia's wish, Lucho chokes up, rushes the goodbyes and hangs up in a rush,

Balmy invites Gastón out for a drink, pumps him on Antonia, and Gastón lays it all out, the mine explosion, the deaths, etc., but of course with no proof, and Balmy turns it around in "how do you know all of this", like as in accomplice, are you Veronica's front man in some kind of a conspiracy, Gastón takes back the upper hand with my sources are privilaged,

Poncia brings Antonia a pot of tea, pours a cup, and drinks it herself, Antonia kicks her out,

Lucho and Alejandro have a go around about his women, Alejandro admits he never loved Irene, and that she never loved him, and then the question, "do you trust Irene", enter Gabriela, stunningly dressed for bed, NO, I do not trust Irene, and then spills, (a good string of flashbacks of all of the reasons we hate Irene), and more of Gabriela's suffering for Alejandro to lament,

Irene calls Patti, tears in her eyes, "I feel so all alone", Patti says she will always be her sister and that she will always love her, and be there for her,

Lucho, in a carefully spoken defense, opens the door that maybe Irene has changed, Alejandro is ok with that, Gabriela softens,

Francisca has some nighttime visitors, she sees the crash through the eyes of Max/Valentina, next day she barges past González to see Balmy, she demands he bring charges against their murderers.

CIELOS

Matilde hasn't changed. She looked awfully relieved when he didn't tell papa about their relationships. And when she comforted Berto about his mother, I thought she might actually be showing some concern. But then there was the little grin, and no. She is not concerned. But at least, as with all the Colombians, she's having fun. The Mexicans are just so darned serious all the time. (Except Guadalupe when he's drunk).

Kelly

La Patrona -

btw, the spanish wiki page is listing the last show as "18 de Julio, 2013"

on Irene, I look at all of the bad things she has done, as being done during the time when she was under the influence of and being manipulated by both her mother and Antonia, and for me a real change occurred when her mother died, she saw what her dad was really like, and especially later when she broke with both Alejandro and his mother Antonia, and moved out of that house.

I'm loving this little world that Francisca lives in, that no one else can see, she is such a tremendous character who has never doubted herself and yet always seems to be at odds with all, remember how long it took Gabriela to accept her, but once you let her into your heart, you couldn't ask for a better friend, wow.

CIELOS:

Mati was definitely supressing an evil smirk when she hugged Beto. She feels no empathy or sympathy. She definitely got a bit pale when Beto asked for his dad to be put on the phone. So, is she more scared of AC than she is of Chacorta?

LA PATRONA:

Deb- Thanks so much for the recap.

I really wonder if the Tigres will break laws to get what they want. I have my doubts. The last time they did that, when they held Gertrudis captive, it didn’t take too long till their consciences got to them. Plus as Rick and Pati to the mix, who from the get go have huge doubts about breaking the law, and I am seeing all kinds of ways for thing to fall apart.

After Lucia said that she wanted to marry El Duende, she then said because she’s a kid she knows she can’t, so she’d like for Irene to marry him instead. She then asks Irene if she likes/cares for/loves (querer) el Duende and she admits she does. When Irene tells Lucho on the phone about Lucia saying she wanted to marry him, she tells him that Lucia “querers” him… “and so do I.” Awkward!! That’s when Lucho got nervous and hung up quickly (not yet ready to admit his feelings for her), and Irene looked like she had just shoved her foot in her mouth by admitting feelings for Lucho that she couldn’t be certain he feels for her.

He did make quite a passionate plea for Irene. I don’t think Vero is sold that Irene has really changed, but I think she will leave her alone for Lucia’s sake.

LA PATRONA:

Thanks, Deb, very enjoyable recap!

I'm not sure how far the tigres can go. But what I'd like them to do is somehow torment Antonia. For example (I know this is illegal) but she could be drugged and taken out in the middle of the desert and left there. She gets back, but has no proof of who did it, or why. Or somehow make her think she's going crazy. Don't know how they'd do it, but it would be fun.

This show is unique, in my memory (although I haven't really been watching telenovelas for that many years), in that we have a whole group of good guys, not just the main characters, but 7 or 8 people, are working together against all the bad guys. I like it.

LA PATRONA:

Amor Bravio had that too. It's always great when the good guys team up (and early) to take down the bad guys. Too bad it doesn't happen more often in tns.

LA PATRONA:

I haven't seen Fri's ep yet, but I'm still a definite and definitive no on trusting Irene yet. She's still too selfish-even in Thurs ep when talking to Lucho about Guerra finding out about Val and Max's plans from them, she didn't care that Antonia had killed them and Lucho wanting to tell Vero about it to get justice. She said 'The damage is already done; why bother getting in trouble over it knowing how dangerous Antonia is?' The thing with Irene is as Poncia and Francisca said, She's as evil and traitorous as Guerra, but with less intelligence. They both used the frase mal entrañada to describe her-I don't get the meaning, but it's not good. I still believe that. The only thing that may change her is finding out Guerra killed Julia.

That doesn't mean the tigres should hurt her, because that would irreparably harm Lucia, but they shouldn't tell her anything about Vero being Gabriela. Irene knew Gaby was innocent before she married Ale-she had asked Guerra and Guerra admitted Gaby was innocent-so Lucho needs to get it together and realize Irene, like Guerra, is a beautiful viper.

EL SENOR

Thanks so much, Hombre - what an excellent recap. There was so much happening last night.

Kelly - Aurelio did let on to Danny that he had other connections high up in the government, and Turco tried to smooth over his comments. I thought Danny acted more than annoyed with AC and like he was reevaluating his whole relationship with AC.

Vivi - you're so right. I kept thinking it was only a few weeks ago that AC had Chacorta kidnap Doris!

Deb - AC did ask Topo to help get Ximena back, and that included Topo calling Juan to help smooth things over.

Novelera - how poetic: "Normally they show the hot and cold running hookers draped all over the narcos, but for some reason they wanted to watch them lift weights." LOL.

I'm so enjoying the Colombians, murdering drug dealers that they are. Maybe part of my enjoyment is the humor they (the writers) provide, but they do add another very real layer of intrigue and complexity to the plot.

I'm looking forward to the dinner party and how Oreja does his thing.

LA PATRONA

Deb - thank you so much for the great recap. Hombre is right - it was an amazing, powerful episode.

I loved, "Poncia brings Antonia a pot of tea, pours a cup, and drinks it herself, Antonia kicks her out". That was hilarious. I'm still LOL over that one!

Lucho's defense of Irene was more than irritating. He's only thinking of his own needs and discounting Irene's destructive behavior. Granted, Irene is Lucia's mother, and Lucia definitely does not need any more stress or unhappiness in her life, but Irene has been an evil force through most of this TN. At least Gaby/Vero said she will "test Irene" to see if she can be trusted.

I wonder how Balmy Rod will respond to Fran's charge that she knows someone murdered Max and Val. This will be yet another example of an alleged crime with no evidence.

Didn't Fran tell El Tigre, Max and Val that she's planning to join them in one year? Sounded like an odd premonition to me, because she had just said she would not kill herself and go to hell. She wants to be with her loved ones.

That scene with Antonia on David's bed talking to him was disturbing in so many ways.

We got the hint of a plan from Gaby/Vero. She needs to roll it out ASAP.

To many ideas rambling in my head, I'm gonna try to make this coherent:

1. Bianca had the chance to come clean to Ariel about she and Bruno, but backed down. And even worse, she confirmed Ariel that Bruno loves Nina. So, as far as I'm concerned, this is on her. Bruno already thought Ariel knew the truth, he was trying to deal with it, but Bianca got scared. Even if she'd broken up with Bruno, Ariel still raped her, right? So she'd normally want to be far away from this house.

2. Bruno is an idiot for not taking this Nina stuff serious. He should just sit her down, tell her he heard some rumors in the house and he wants to make things clear between them...But no, that would mean him actually being proactive about something.

3. Nina thinking Bruno is in love with her is even more annoying that bratty Nina.

4. Ariel has become a comic relief for me. When he told someone (can't remember who) that he had to dissimulate when he overheard Bruno tell Bianca he was in love I almost fell of my chair laughing. Is he so idiot to think that Bruno didn't realize he was heard? He was standing two steps away, for God's sake!

5. Flavia, the master manipulator, is proving that the saying: "if you repeat something enough times, it becomes true" is not just a saying. Now even Deniz is having second thoughts...

LA PATRONA:

Watched Fri's ep and I'm with VeroGaby on not trusting Irene not even a little bit. I'm glad GabyVero told Lucho and Alejandro how Irene's false testimony was what stopped Fer being prosecuted for her rape. I'd forgotten about that! She lied that Gaby had consentual relations with Fer, in addition to throwing the dress at her and standing by when Psycho Casanova was going to rape her. Irene is gonna have to do A LOT more for me to trust her. Antonia has video and recording of Irene and Lucho and can blackmail her. If Irene doesn't double-cross Lucho or Irene to not have the video used against-that's the test if she has changed.

I'm actually loving the interaction between Lucho and Ale-it's welcome comic relief and I love Ale as the straight-man and Lucho as the clown. I also love that Ale knows Lucia is in love with the duende. Lucia's talk with Irene was hilarious-even Macario overhearing it had to admit Lucia is pretty smart!
Also loved GabyVero upbraiding both Lucho and Ale for even thinking of trusting Irene! It's obvious that they both view her as the boss and the boss must be listened to or entreated.

I just want to second Variopinta's recommendation about Ladrón Que Roba a Ladrón, which is apparently on Univision today (Sunday) at 2 pm (EDT). It's a delightful caper flick, and the Spanish isn't too hard to follow. I loved it when I saw it several years ago. If I didn't have other plans for this afternoon, I'd watch it again.

LA PATRONA:

I agree that Irene should not be trusted. But there's also the question of whether she should be punished, and if so, how much? She did some pretty awful things in the past, and her false testimony was illegal. But maybe if she acts better now, the punishment can be less than the punishment due to Antonia, Anibal, Macario, etc.

LA PATRONA:

I tend to think her marriage to Ale, his rejection of her repeatedly throughout the marriage, and Lucia being sick are punishment enough, but I need Irene to kind of acknowledge or have some recognition that the reason her life has been awful is because of how she treated Gabriela. While she finally realizes she and Ale have no future, I need her to have that moment like Prudencia did in the church where it occurs to her that 'Oh, that's why this happened, I was awful to Gabriela. And my life will never get better until I own what I did to her.' I saw from the Fri escencas that Lucia will get a nosebleed again, and Irene will be praying in the chapel for Lucia, so perhaps she'll have that moment of reflection.

I need this from Irene because not only was she a bad friend and a bad human being to Gabriela, but so she becomes a more trustworthy person. She can't be a good ally until she realizes she isn't as good as she thinks she is-her self-righteous was my biggest problem with her and what made her like Guerra. She, like Guerra, said the ends justify the means when Pati called her out for purposefully getting preggers by Ale.

I also can't wait to see her face when she eventually realizes Vero is Gaby because then she'll realize she 'lost' the absurd game she was playing with Gaby.

PASION PROHIBIDA

Bleck, bleck, bleck... that Nina-crawling-across-Bruno's-bed scene was so disturbing, to me anyway. I still can't stand Nina, especially after the whole fake fainting episode. I'm worried about the direction all of this seems to be heading, particularly after having noticed that one of the "brides" in the intro sequence is Nina (I had to rewind several times just to make sure)! I just don't know that I can handle a Nina/Anyone wedding, let alone Nina/Bruno!

Wow, Yair is looking pretty pathetic; the crying is out of control. Cami needs to slap some sense into him.

Thanks for the faithful recaps, Adriana-Noel and Novelaman! I usually do my catching up on recaps on the weekends so I don't get much of a chance to comment.

By the way, Novelaman, you mentioned Sin Tetas/Ellas, and I have been watching this one. It's amazing how much Maria Adelaida has grown up since then, from the silly teenager in Sin Ellas to the classy woman in Mariposa! I think I read somewhere that this one is much shorter than the remake... and that the remake was "loosely" based on this one. It's keeping me watching, but so far I'm on the fence about it.

I think I'll tune into Damas, just because I really like Ana Layevska.

Thanks as always for the recaps, AdrianaNoel y Novelaman! same goes to all the commenters. Love reading them all.

I'm still watching cuz Bruno has not waned in his declarations of love for Bianca; although he still falls short on actions. And thanks the heavens above he cut Nina off when he said he was "feeling" really sleepy; for yes, she is a snoozer.

Which brings to mind a couple of weeks ago when Nina said to Bruno that most of the women end up crazy after he's ended the relationships with them. I'm thinking I hope she goes crazy too if she isn't yet. Those therapy sessions sure make her seem like one.

Pasion Prohibida

AnotherAmy, always happy to chat with you, when you manage to get on tghe board! I totally agree with you about Nina crawling all over Bruno, kissing the corner of his mouth and than almost fainting (for real)...oh, young love....barf!

I noticed Nina dressed as a bride a long time ago (when I used to listen to "Dime" on repeat all day long), but I hoped against hope it won't come to that... If now that she thinks Bruno loves her she is even more irritating than before, can you imagine her if they become novios, or, God forbid, get engaged??

Shallowgal, glad to hear your thoughts again! It's true, Bruno's feelings have remained steady; if only he could transfer some of this faithfulness into action...
Lol at your comment about Nina being a snoozer, but I still think Bruno should talk to her, clarify the situation. I don't believe she is crazy, yet, but if I have to go through a Bruno-Nina relationship to see her get full on cucko, I rather she stayed like she is now - 25% crazy, 75% clueless when it comes to Bruno's so called love for her.
I'm more worried for Bianca in the crazy department, because if our nightmare of a Bruno-Nina pair comes true, Bianca won't be able to take it.

PASION PROHIBIDA
Thanks as always to AdrianaNoel and NovelaMan for their super recaps, which help me pick up so many details I missed. All last week, the worst thing was watching Guillermo pressuring Elianna, and seeing her so miserable and broken. Uuucck!!! Was very relieved to see her in Ariel's office wanting to speak to him. And I was surprised that Bruno acts as if his fling with Club Girl was nothing, he just goes back to professing his love for Bianca. Yair is so unstable right now, no telling what he will do. He goes from sobbing to snarling...and back to sobbing. Get a grip!!!!

LA PATRONA Y OTRAS COSAS

Deb, busy weekend, so I didn't compliment you on your fine recap.

I spent Saturday with my son and daughter-in-law. They live about 80 miles from me near what Bay Area people call the Delta; the delta of the Sacramento River. My son was on a mission: replace my beat-up, ready to fall off screen door before it gets hot. I don't know how the gene pool gifted me with a child with such fine mechanical skills, but I just relax and enjoy it. His recent accomplishments include a working-like-new 25 year old dishwasher and complete replacement of the "guts" of my toilet. I took them out to dinner and that was fun as well.

Then Sunday was Carnaval.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carnaval_San_Francisco

I used to go every single year, but parking became a nightmare. So I've missed a couple. This year a friend is housesittinig in San Francisco, so I drove there, and we took city buses to the parade. Such fun! The Mission District is the heart and soul of the Latino community there. The parade has contingents representing Mexican, Bolivian, Brazilian, Haitian, Nicaraguan, Colombian, Jamaican and every kind of heritage you can think of.

My friend and I got to the best spot in the parade route, and her friends from El Salvador (she is the godmother of about four of their children) had saved us a spot, including chairs! But we didn't sit in them all the time as this group dances along to the music, and so did we!

Afterwards we all went to a fine Mexican restaurant and feasted. The Salvadorans usually start out being polite and speaking English, but when it becomes apparent that I can keep up, the whole day is in in Spanish. My friend the "multi-madrina" is Latina, born in Colorado.

Anyway, I'm sort of on the fence about Irene. They could go either way. She might revert to her jealous self and betray them. Or her partial rehabilitation could jell, and she could end up being a big help. I was expecting more of a development about the mike being put back in the lampshade, but perhaps they'll flesh that out with some disinformation this week.

My DVR says La Patrona is on tonight, even though it's a holiday. So I'll do a recap.

DAME CHOCOLATE

This is being reaired at 5:00 in the morning on TELEMUNDO. Please record on DVR. You will love it.

LA PATRONA – LUNES – Part 1

Rodrigo Balmaceda keeps telling Francisca that the death of Max and Valentina was an accident. Francisca describes exactly how the truck veered toward their car. He’s very skeptical. “How do you know this?” Fran: “Because I’m a witch. The dead have spoken to me since I was a child.” She tells Balmy she wanted to go along with Val and Max because of her premonition, but now she knows God wanted her to remain behind to tell what really happened.

Irene meets up with a disguised Lucho, having breakfast. She’s obviously falling for him hard. He wants her to do what she does best: lie. Irene doesn’t like this. Then he asks her if she’s always been loyal to old friends, say, like Gabriela Suárez. He says he can’t trust her yet. He wants her to tell bold faced lies like Guerra, gain her confidence, and look for safes in La Dorada.

Fran tells Balmy to look for evidence. "Look for the guy who drove the big truck. Who is he? Why would anyone want to kill Max and Val? Well, Max is a Suárez, one of the owners of El Chamuco and Val was very rich." Francisca tells him that whoever ends up with Val’s money will be the killer. She tells him: “Do your job!”

Antonia is eating all alone. Poncia tells her the only one around is the pretend “good girl”, who is so afraid of Guerra that she’s eating in the kitchen.

David visits Max’s tomb and wishes he’d gone along with Max and Val and had died. He feels so alone and he has to defend his grandmother from everyone else. Cecilia comes along and asks why he’s drinking in the morning. She asks what happened to the David she loved. He tells her probably that David died when the two of them broke it off.

Ale arrives to see Lucía, grateful that Guerra isn’t there. He’s helping Lucía with her math homework when she gets a nosebleed.

Vero is helping Patti drum up votes for president of the club when David comes in and asks for a whiskey. She grabs the drink and asks why he’s drunk at this hour of the morning.

Irene finds a safe hidden behind a painting. Poncia comes in, asks what Irene is looking for, and tells her Guerra never leaves loose strings. But she did make one mistake that no one noticed. Poncia says she told the police a detail when Julia died, but Chacón was in charge so nothing was done. Irene asks what happened. Poncia says the Montemars didn’t notice either. They all thought she committed suicide. Poncia says that Julia had a bullet wound on the left side, and she was not … Irene supplies the word: zurda.

Vero tells David he is not old enough to drink. She asks if he wants to destroy himself like his father. David says he’s suffering a lot. He lost his grandfather, his mother, his uncle Max and Valentina, who was like a sister. He’s so miserable. Vero embraces him. It’s a tender scene until Antonia charges in yelling that Vero let go of him.

Vero says that she was only helping David. Antonia behaves like a grizzly bear on meth. She asks David how he could let this creature embrace him. She tells Vero she stole Alejandro from her. Does she think she’s going to do the same with David? She tells Vero she’s fed up with her taking what’s hers. Vero asks her if she thinks persons belong to other persons like objects. Vero accuses her of helping along David’s alcoholism, the same way she did with her son Fernando. Guerra denies Fernando was an alcoholic. Vero tells her that everyone in the club told her about the drunken scenes Fernando caused. “What kind of woman gives alcohol to her grandson in order to have him under her control?”

Lucía is very frightened by the nosebleed and begs her father not to let her die.

LA PATRONA – LUNES – Part 2

Gonzo has covered the “guillotine” curve with caution tape. He tells Balmy over the phone that they have a case. The tire tracks show that Max’s car had to derrapar (skid) a few meters before entering the curve. He says the poor boy had to brake to avoid an obstacle. Balmy: “Very good! She was right!” He asks Gonzo if he knew about Fran’s powers. Gonzo says the whole town knew Francisca could foresee things and even talk with the dead. But she’s a good kind of witch. Balmy says he’s going to investigage the driver, Chopo, to see if he did it on purpose.

Poncia tells Irene to stop trying to lie to herself. Irene knew that Alejandro adored Gabriela and it suited her to blame Gabriela for Julia’s death. Irene asks her who did it, but Alejandro enters with the news about needing to take Lucía to the hospital before Poncia can speak.

Back at the club Antonia tells Veronia that David can do as he likes. He’s a Beltrán, grandson of la dueña of the whole town. She says everyone else around her has no class. Many members overhear this. Patti says that Guerra herself is the best thing happening to her campaign. Vero laments what’s happening to David. Patti says Guerra does love him, but Vero says it’s a sick, toxic kind of love.

Chopo is brought in handcuffed to be grilled by Balmy. He asks him what he was doing at 11:00 on the freeway. Where was he going?

Meanwhile, back at the hacienda, Antonia chews out David for embracing Verónica, her enemy (not for being drunk on his ass!). She asks if it was because she looks like his mother the killer. David is furious. He tells Antonia that if she doesn’t start respecting his mother, he’s leaving.

Balmy asks Chopo to whom he was taking his cargo and what was his destination. Balmy answers the question for him. He says he didn’t have any cargo, nor was he just casually in that place at that time. He tells him he’s a criminal and holds up a file that proves it. He tells him Max’s car didn’t move toward the truck like you said. He had to move away to avoid something coming toward him.

Irene prays hard for Lucía. She asks what she did to have this happen. The she remembers watching Gertrudis drag Gabriela off in that wedding dress to put her in with Casanova. “Gabriela!”, she says.

Antonia comes to the hospital and is royally pissed to find Vero there with Alejandro. She nastily suggests that Vero has an unhealthy interest in David, hugging and kissing him in the club.

Macario calls to tell Guerra that Chopo is being interrogated by Balmy. Later she calls Aníbal saying she has a problem.

Irene sobs and begs forgiveness from Gabriela, while Vero overhears at the door of the hospital chapel. She says she can’t continue to ignore everything she did to Gabriela. She says Gabriela had a child and lost him, but please don’t take her daughter.

Constanza is packing and tells Cecilia that she’s not going to be living there for a while. It’s time to confront her fears.

Patti overhears Irene’s attempt to pray. When Patti enters Irene tells her that she harmed Gabriela Suárez and God is now repaying that with the greatest pain. They pray together.

Gastón tells Francisca about Chopo being interrogated. Fran is relieved to hear this, but tells Gastón he needs to move on. Vero arrives and tells Francisca her fears about David becoming an alcoholic.

Pasion Prohibida Monday
Part 1

Eliana goes to Ariel's office to apologize for what she told that gossip magazine about Nina. Ariel is at first reluctant to believe her, thinking this could be another one of Willy's tricks, but finally agrees to drop out the suit, provided that she never gets close to his family again.

Yair The Worst wants to give Camila the video camera back; she refuses to take it and asks him to accept his love for Nina, mirroring it with her love for him.

Nina and Deniz talk and Nina is upset that Bruno ignored her in the morning. Deniz tells her to stop believing what Flavia tells her because it's not true. But Nina doesn't seem to eager to listen.

Bruno calls Bianca from his house, wants help with Nina, because Ariel wants to talk to him. So NOW he is worried about what his uncle thinks. Bianca refuses to help him and then Ariel arrives and she has to hang up. Indeed, Ariel is anxious to talk to Bruno.

Penelope and Nico talk about his job and then about Willy. Penelope is worried that something Nico has done will get him to lose his job.

Willy is at Eliana's place drinking beer and watching sports, when Eli comes home and asks him to leave. They start arguing, he doesn't want to go because he gave up his wife and all his life for her.

Ariel and Bianca talk about lawyer stuff; the trail against Bianca has been dropped. Bianca asks Ariel to speak to Flavia, make her stop talking about Bruno and Nina, because even the servants are commenting about it. She says Bruno will do nothing about his so called feelings because this is an impossible love, but Ariel is not that sure about it. When he asks Bianca to use her bathroom (I'd forgotten he doesn't sleep in the room anymore), Bruno calls her. He wants her to come to their house, so they can be together in their bed. Bianca tries to resist the invitation, but you can see it's not easy.

Nina and Flavia talk about Nina's more mature room. A young lady's room, but she needs a different type of pajamas, what if she meets Bruno on the hallway and she is not dressed sexy enough? So Nina takes out of her closet some red night gown that Paula gave her. Oh boy, can you imagine little girl Nina walking around the house wearing that?

Bruno is at his house waiting for Bianca, when Eliana calls him to say goodbye, promise she'll never interfere in his life again. He mentions Willy, she insists all that is over, now she's trying to fix her mistakes. She apologizes for everything and hangs up.

At Nico's house, his mom also mentions Ariel is punishing him by sending him to the construction site. Both she and Penelope gang up on him for the way he betrayed Ariel for his dad.

Yair the Worst is in the taller with Ariel, worried that the boss is sleeping on the uncomfortable couch. FF>>

Nina asks Flavia point blank if Bruno is in love with her. Yeeees, everybody knows about it, including Ariel, who didn't like it, but can't do anything about it. And if Deniz says it's a ie, it's because she is an old, bored spinster.

Pasion Prohibida Monday
Part 2

Yair The Worst is in his room, pouting again and he is so aggravating, I can't even enjoy the fact that he is half naked. He hears a car drive off, apparently it's Bianca's.

Willy and Eliana fight some more about the break up. He thinks she played with him and now she is throwing him away. He offends her some more, until Eliana tells him she's going to NY.

Nico can't sleep, so he leaves the house, my guess to go talk to Ariel (hopefully).

Bruno is at his house, when Bianca finally arrives. But she is not in the mood for romance, she came to break it off forever (than why did you come?) - she wants him to stop looking at her, stop calling, stop telling her stuff, stop everything he's doing. He doesn't believe her, she thinks this is because of his big ego. Bruno calls her out on her lie, though and insists that she loves him just as much as he loves her.
But Bianca doesn't think his is love, it's just desire for the forbidden. Shut up, he asks her, you are mine and only mine, your body, your soul, they are all mine. She denies it, but he keeps moving forward, until she is on a desk - and by the way, the dress she's wearing is perfect for love making, I always thought this about the model. They start to kiss, while YAIR THE WORST is outside in the bushes with his camera. Long story short, he films B&B together.

Nico is at Ariel's house, tells him the truth about the stock - he is very sorry, his father tricked him. So he wants to return all the stocks and quit his job.

B&B are in the bedroom, in the dark, kissing, while Yair is running to the car. They hear some noise, but eventually go back to making out.

Some smoke is coming out of the cooking stove in the kitchen.

Yair is with Ariel in the taller and Yair is showing his boss the recording of B&B kissing and talking about how Bianca will lie to Ariel if he finds out she is out of the house (IS THIS FOR REAL? It can't be because it happened to fast and with no lead in scene.)
Anyway, Ariel starts throwing things around and takes out a gun from a box, screaming Bruno's name.

LA PATRONA:

Thanks Novelera for the prompt recap. I cackled at 'Antonia acts like a grizzly bear on meth.' She really was way over the top with her reaction and ended up insulting the club members. I loved night's ep for so many reasons. For one, that Balmy listened to Francisca and investigated about the car crash further-even after Gonzalez sort of busted his chops about following his instincts. However, I think the fact that Fran gave a great motive for investigating pushed him on.

Second, that VeroGaby-Guerra face off with David. Guerra is obviously mentally ill and dillusional. The way she grabbed David from VeroGaby and hugged him to mark her turf was uber-disturbing. GabyVero also unwittingly revealed her identity David, but maybe he was too drunk to recognize it, when while hugging him she said 'Tu eres mi milagro'-You are my miracle. She said that to him, and only him when he was a kid, especially after David found oht he was a product of a rape.' Hopefully David will remember it when he's sober.

Three:Irene! Loved, loved, LOVED her scene in the chapel! She looked really repentant and cognizant of the damage she'd done to Gaby-which is a whole lot better than Prudencia when her anvils were dropping! And the face GabyVero had when she first heard Irene praying was classic. It was like 'I have to stop and hear this myself because if someone told me I wouldn't believe it!' Erika de la Rosa, the actress who plays Irene, was good here and I was a bit teary when she was praying...They are totally redeeming her character and doing it this way makes me ok with her being an ally of the tigres-not yet part of the inner circle, but an affiliate so to speak. Irene is starting to get it! My inner Calvinist/Lutheran approved!

I'm wondering if Erika de la Rosa is not Catholic because the way they set the chapel scene with Irene praying in front of a cross with a small Virgen de Guadelupe bearly seen in the background seems like a special request. Contrast to that when Ale was praying for Lucia at a full Guadelupe shrine, and it makes me wonder if it was something Erika requested because she isn't Catholic, but the producers probably insisted in having the icon in the background since this is a Mexican novela and it wouldn't make sense for the mostly Catholic audience to not have a scene like that without the icon.

Pasión Prohibida -

thanks so much Adriana Noel,
great summary!

I see they have announced últimos capítulos, so we may be looking at only a couple of more weeks,

wow, Yair finally did his big reveal, and with proof, and where did Nico go, and here I was thinking the smoke in the kitchen will leave everyone wondering where Bianca is, but I guess Ariel doesn't need that now, or is he running into the house, a crazy man with a gun, looking for Bruno, because Yair didn't get to the part of where they are, but then Nina knows the location, and I'm still wondering how Bianca has a car when she wrecked it, but anyway, now might be a good time for that trip to Spain.

EL SEÑOR DE LOS CIELOS:

The tension continues to rise. I now think I know what's going on with the Colombians (but I could be wrong). Remember, in the last few days, they made side deals with The Robles and with Topo. In each case they said "don't tell Aurelio". I think these deals were made on behalf of Oscar, even though Cabo and Tijeras made them. Cabo meets with Aurelio, says I want to be on YOUR side, and Tijeras and I are splitting off from Oscar. (He could be lying, but I'm assuming not). Cabo says don't trust Topo, he's going behind your back. So I think Oscar is in with Topo and the Robles against Aurelio, and Cabo are in with Aurelio and have betrayed Oscar. Or not!

Ximena continues to be abused by Gordo. She attacks him with a fork (doesn't work). He grabs her, look babe, I didn't appreciate you getting me clocked, I'll teach you who's boss. Big mistake, as Juan V. enters and shoots Gordo dead! Ximena isn't exactly happy about this, she's terrified, Juan reminds her that if Sabino's freed, Xime will be, too. But if not....

Danny has successfully gotten Sabino transferred to a hospital ward, and gives Aurelio the exact time, so he and his crew can attack the ambulance and free Sabino. Doris overhears this, she's HAD it with Danny, he keeps saying he's through with Aurelio, but then once again, he's Aurelio's puppet! But honey, it's not so easy. Look Daniel, I'm giving you this dinner party to help you out, but after that, you're on your own!

Oscar has heard Cabo and Tijeras discussing the freeing of Sabino. He doesn't know they're betraying him, but he calls Guadalupe Robles, saying, they're going to free Sabino. If you kill him (either in prison before, or at the ambulance), then Juan V will kill Ximena. Just thought you'd want to know. Guad gloats at this, tells Mónica, sister, I'm clearing the path for you, Xime will be dead, and you can get with Aurelio. You gonna thank me? Mónica isn't smiling, she thinks her brother is an idiot, and Aurelio won't lose so easily (I agree with her).

Marco agrees that Leonor can go undercover. But couldn't she go as a maid or household employee, not an amante? Sorry, charlie, says Leo. We've found that druglords let their guard down most in moments of intimacy. Hmmm, Marco isn't happy about that part. He's fitted with a wire for the dinner party. He's going with Emma, his mother. And someone else is going to meet him there.

EL SEÑOR DE LOS CIELOS, Part 2

The doctor gives Eugenia the bad news, Linares has a 90% chance of never walking again. Since he has no family, she had to tell him. She's going to wait until Marco gets back from the party, and they'll tell him together. But Linares wakes up, asks her, guesses the truth. She tries to console him, there's still a 10% chance. But he's not buying it. He'll never walk again. And this better not have been in vain. They've got to stop Aurelio Casillas!

So we have Aurelio meeting with his guys, with Cabo and Tijeras, with Topo and Pollo, all working on the plan to free Sabino. And we have the Robles working on killing Sabino. Also, if Sabino isn't freed, Juan V. says he'll kill Ximena. Uuuuy.

Time for a dinner party. Marco has the wire under his tie, he's going to record everything so they can figure out who called in that thing about high level corruption. He goes with Emma, and when he gets there, Irina is also there as his GUEST! Everybody greets everybody else, and Irina lies about how she knows Marco (but it's convincing), saying he saved her from some attack. In fact, she's acting VERY friendly to him, and guess who's listening in on this with Orejas? Leo! Yes, she's jealous, doesn't want to hear more, can't they just compare the voices yet?

You remember last episode Leo and Marco were about to kiss? Well they stopped just in time. Leo said, don't worry, it's nothing more than an intense physical attraction we have for each other because we've been working together. Oh, right, nothing to worry about!

Back to the party. Sonia, Ramiro's wife, is introduced, and nervously says hello to Marco. I don't think he's noticed yet. But Ramiro says he wants to talk to Castro. He then tells Castro, can you talk to Sonia for a bit? He grabs Irina and takes her into the restroom. Meanwhile, Sonia tells Castro she feels a little faint, can he get her a drink. He goes to get one, turns, she's disappeared.

In the restroom, Ramiro is mad at Irina, what are you doing here? She couldn't refuse Marco's invitation, it'd give things away. Well, anyway, honey, I'm happy you're here, and they start to kiss. Enter Sonia, she's caught Ramiro red-handed!

Cielos

Hombre,
I totally agree with your theory about the Colombians, or not.
Everyone wants to be on the right (most profitable)side, they are just not sure what that is yet. But they need Oscar for the drugs. I haven't heard of another Colombia connection.

La Patrona -

thanks so much novelera!
and thanks for sharing your holidays with us, sounds like fun,

Francisca, what a darling, everyone knows her as the good Bruja, and now Balmy does to,

is Chopo, Macario's cousin or is it the other guy that was standing watch, because no one is making that connection,

I didn't quite understand Irene's mission that Lucho gave her, is it to just find the safes, why not have someone from the inner circle do it like Alejandro, or better yet Poncia, or is this just a test?

Antonia sitting at that giant table all alone, interesting that the circle of people still around her like Poncia and Macario, aren't allowed to sit there because of their class,

interesting, after all of these years, Poncia leaks the truth to Irene about her sister, I keep waiting for someone to also mention that her mother was drugged when she was run over,

great scene with Gabriela and David, I too recognized (as J desde NYC pointed out) when she said 'Tu eres mi milagro', (these writers are very good at remembering the details of the story), but did David get it in his stupor,

I too loved Irene's praying at the hospital, and Gabriela listening in, her four years of torment is not going to go away lightly, if at all, great scene, you could really see Gabriela's struggle mixed with her compassion for someone that is suffering,

where is Constanza going, will she do her reveal so there is no connection to Veronica, this will be interesting,

btw I saw a promo for Marido en Alquiler over the weekend, muy pronto.

Francisca, what a darling, everyone knows her as the good Bruja, and now Balmy does to,

Loved how Balmy was telling Gonzalez that if Fran is as good as everyone in town says she is, she can be pretty useful as a help to the police.

I didn't quite understand Irene's mission that Lucho gave her, is it to just find the safes, why not have someone from the inner circle do it like Alejandro, or better yet Poncia, or is this just a test?

It's a test for Irene. Remember Lucho begging GabyVero to put Irene to the test? They're trying to prove how trustworthy she is. It's weird their doing this by getting her to lie, but hey, it's a tn

Antonia sitting at that giant table all alone, interesting that the circle of people still around her like Poncia and Macario, aren't allowed to sit there because of their class

But why did she demand Poncia get Eugenia to eat with her, after calling her "zorrita" repeatedly? Beggers can't be choosers I guess.

Interesting, after all of these years, Poncia leaks the truth to Irene about her sister, I keep waiting for someone to also mention that her mother was drugged when she was run over,

Poncia doesn't tell people truths they aren't will to hear. No one knows Pru was drugged except the lobos.

where is Constanza going, will she do her reveal so there is no connection to Veronica, this will be interesting

I wanna know what the heck is up with this too. Was this the plan that GabyVero discussed with the tigres that the audience didn't hear but Patti called radical?

El Señor de los Cielos -

thanks so much Hombre,

hmm, the way I see it the Colombians produce the cocaine, while the Mexicans distribute it, Pablo did both but Aurelio with his planes can move such large quantities that the other Colombians have become dependent on him, so I can see why Cadena wants to find other routes to break the monopoly, but why do Cabo and Tijera want to switch sides, but I can see how they wanted their own routes, but how can they work for Aurelio and deal with Cadena, or is it some way that Aurelio will give them their own business, nah, they are better off working an arrangement with Cadena, but maybe they have soured on the way he is dealing with Guadalupe and Topo instead,

wow, Cadena tipping Guadalupe on the release of Sabino, and killing him would essentially kill Ximena, these guys are like a pack of wild dogs, always nipping at each other, testing who will lead the pack, always trying to knock the big dog down, where the rest will jump on him,

if Leo goes undercover, won't Danny know, that's how Marco lost that good friend of his fathers.

LA PATRONA:

Great recap, Novelera. And great comments, J desde NYC. I think Chopo is Macario's cousin, as I think he called him primo on the phone. But they could easily have different last names, and it might not be a first cousin.

I hope Francisca changes her mind about leaving Gaston, having one year left, etc. She's always right, but maybe Tigre could talk her out of this?

I thought I heard Vero say David was under age. Is he still just under 18? I know Max was 23 from the grave marker, but David was a lot smaller as a kid.

Cielos

Oscar was worried when the shipments weren't getting to the US when Aurelio was trying to raise the price in the US, so he distributed in Mex.
Do we know if he started sending to the US again?

Marido en Alquiler

DAME CHOCOLATE

Novelaman: I tried looking for this at 5am timeslot on Tmundo, but nothing. when does it start?

DAME CHOCOLATE

Well there is 2 Telemundo channels. Dame chocolate starts before UN NUEVO DIA at 5:00-6:00 the other channel has it at 8:00-9:00. This was aired on april 29. Those bastards never mentioned a rebroadcast. Pisses me off.

PASIóN PROHIBIDA

Adriana Noel - oh boy oh boy oh boy. what an exciting episode, and your recap captured that. muchisimas gracias. I was cringing at the shirtless Yair - what was the point?

dang that f! insisting on stuffing stupid notions in Nina's head about Bruno, and now making her wear sexy lingerie. eck! I wouldn't want to see that; Bianca wins hands down when it comes to pulling that off. I am just glad Deniz has remained the sane one and hopefully her speech about Bruno not being in love with Nina sinks in with her eventually.

what's the fire in the kitchen all about?

man oh man - who can't succumb to Bruno? certainly not I! he really plays his part perfectly (imho). so charming and irresistible. how will I cope not seeing Jencarlos' beautiful face when this is all over?

PASION PROHIBIDA

deb- With all the money Ariel has he probably got Bianca another car.

Surprised that the big reveal finally happened. The original version did not go this way. If Ariel is going to make a big scene tonight, then Bianca needs to tell the clan what that bastard did to her. Im sure Flavia would be disgusted to hear that Ariel abused her daughter. I want Ariel in prison!

DAME CHOCOLATE

Thanks Novelaman. I'll try searching under the title; just now thought of it.

PASIóN PROHIBIDA

NovelaMan - yes! the big reveal. I'm really glad we're to that point already, cuz my attention span and patience lasts only at about 100 or so episodes (i.e. ¿Dónde Está Elisa?, Sortilegio, El Fantasma de Elena, Perro Amor, Mi Corazón Insiste, Aurora ) when it comes to telenovelas.

CIELOS

Thanks so much for the fine recap, Hombre.

I hope that Guadalupe goes down hard, and soon. He's just an ass on so many levels. I'm sure he was the weak link when his brother, Isidro, was alive. And now that he has to step up a bit, he's rabidly jealous of Aurelio for his smarts. He's right that AC killed Isidro, but I don't think that's Lupe's main thing. He's just furious that he has to be in a one down position in the Mexican drug trade.

I'm not liking Ximena in her role as captive. She was a bit courageous trying to fight off Gordo; but, except for that, she just sits there with tears running down her cheeks looking pathetic. She's been sort of a mafia princess as daughter of Don Cleto, and it seems she should have more pride, and not let them see her basically whimper all the time.

I agree with your theory, Hombre, about Cabo. In a sense, both he and Oscar are right. Cabo appeared to me to be very loyal to Oscar, but he doesn't like it that Oscar doesn't go with the winner: Aurelio. So self interest is moving him to betray Oscar. Oscar is right in the sense that he has figured out that Aurelio wants ALL the power and this won't be good for his cartel in the long run.

This novela is SO well done that I can't even guess which way they'll go. They COULD kill off Ximena. Mónica wasn't 100% thrilled about Ximena being killed. I think she was OK with the deal she made with Aurelio (which he hasn't abided by at all) to be the amante and Ximena the wife. Maybe she intuits that the death of Ximena would convert AC into a very different man. She likes him the way he is. I'm, of course, just guessing here!

Pasion Prohibida
So, WAS that the big reveal? I thought so, but you're right AdrianaNoel, jumped in too quick and where did Nico go? Then the smokin' oven and avances with the entire clan in the stairwell......now I'm confused.
I'm with you NovelaMan, I want Ariel exposed and punished!
AdrianaNoel, is Yair really The Worst? I feel sorry for him.
Clara

Pasion Prohibida

I have been keeping with this through the recaps here. Thank you everyone who does a recap for this show. My only question is what did Yair think Ariel was going to do when he showed him the videotape? Yair had the oh #%^* look on his face. Seems someone did not think of the fall out. Can't wait to read what happens next.... Nia

Cielos
I don't think Ximena gets killed even though it looks & sounds like it, that would be a huge mistake for Juan V.
Maybe Gordo isn't really dead & gets a last shot in. Or more likely Juan V is shot by Topo's people. I think he knows where Juan V is. I don't think anyone else does.

Was Juan's bro killed or do we know yet?

CIELOS

Variopinta, as of last night's episode, the plan was that Guadalupe had prison contacts that would kill Sabino Villalobos. But I don't think the deed has been done or even whether it will be done.

I was just thinking that if Juan is shooting Ximena, his bro must be dead. But maybe he is just firing to scare Aurelio, but that doesn't make a lot of sense. Ximena thought she was going to be shot.

PASION PROHIBIDA
So...the "reveal" scene with Yair and Ariel couldn't be a dream sequence could it?
Because we had one of those earlier on as a teaser with Bruno and Bianca kissing...
However, maybe not, as I'm guessing the smoking oven was a visual metaphor for whatever is coming next.
J in Oregon.

Pasion Prohibida

Great turnout tonight, Yair's confession made everyone come out and say a few words. I haven't yet seen Tuesday's epy, still waiting for it on line, but I'm pretty sure it was all a dream. I guess now I can talk about re preview since you've all seen it and it's not considered a spoiler anymore - when Ariel is trying to shoot Bruno they are all in the house, and we know B&B are not home. This and the fact that Nico disappeared makes me think this is Yair imagining how things would if he told the truth.
IF it is true, then they are changing the original, which is great!

Pasion Prohibida

I forgot to mention some things...

Nia, I believe this is the first time you post here...welcome! Do you only keep in touch with the tn by reading our recaps? If you can't watch it on tv, there is the Telemundo site and others where you can catch up.

J in Oregon, I guess the smoke is from real life (not Yair's dream) and it will make the entire house wake up and realize Bianca is not home.

Clara, I feel sorry for Yair, too, but is the pity kind - he is always pouting and wringing his hands, he never smiles, never has a good word for anyone. I really liked him with Nina, those very few episodes with them getting closer were great, but he couldn't even do that right - I am sure Nina could have been seduced if he only gave it a real try.

NovelaMan, I'm annoyed by the fact that nobody even mentions Ariel's abuse now, it's so underwhelming, and not at all how normal society should work.

Shallowgal, JC Canela is the bomb, no question about it and Monica S is not bad, either...I do wish we got more loves scenes, though, the passion part is not that vividly showed as I would have liked :D
Dame Chocolate is great, you're gonna love Carlos Ponce!

Deb, ultimos capitulos sounds about right, they finished filming a few weeks ago, so I'd say that in 4 weeks at the most, it will be all over. I'm dreading the finish...

Pasion Prohibida Tuesday
Part 1

Hate to say "I told you so", but I did...Yair imagined the whole confession, because he is still at Bruno's house, wringing his hands. So, in hopes you didn't throw the TV out the window and kept watching, here's what came next...

There really is smoke coming out of the oven, while Ariel and Nico keep talking in the living room (Bianca, you're gonna get soooo busted!). Anyway, Ariel wants Nico to stay on with the company (who didn't see this coming?).

B&B are cuddled in bed, with Bianca saying how good she feels and stating that she could never have that with her husband. He is a good man, she feels bad for not treating him right, but this just proves she is just like her mother (so she finally decided to embrace it - now all she has to do is starts whispering stuff in Nina's ear, to set that girl straight). She tells Bruno about the circumstances of her father's death (does that mean that Ariel is on the way to his grave? sorry, that was harsh, but I'm just saying). Apparently, Bianca is scared that something bad could happen to Ariel, too, and so is Bruno.

Back at the house, the fire alarm goes off, the servants wake up and Don Salo puts out the fire.

Willy & Eli intermission...they fight...barf...

Everybody is up, and Oh, God help me, Nina is wearing her red nighty, that is really small and inappropriate to wear in your father's house, if you ask me, and let everyone see you in it - doesn't that robe have a belt, string, cord, Nina?
This is Flavia's cue to ask about Bruno, but Santi says he's not in bed. How about Bianca, then? Well, what do you know, she must have not heard the alarm, because she is not with them, either. Flavia gets the situation and stops Ariel from going to his wife's room, saying that she is surely asleep, to tired because of her accident to have heard the noise.

Back in the love nest, Bruno asks Bianca to stay with him over night, but she refuses. So instead of that Bruno asks her not to stop meeting him, no matter what. But this situation reminds Bianca to much about her mother, so she wants to leave. She leans in for a quick peck on the lips, that turns into a full blown kiss. She eventually leaves...(sad face here).

Back at the house, the servants are wondering who left the oven on...well, it can't be any of the women, it has to be Yair, who is not in his bed...All the servants are oh, so surprised that he left without saying, like Yair is some 12 year old. The only one with some common sense is Katia, who points out that he is a young man, who can do whatever he wants.

Francisca and Ariel talk about Nico, she doesn't agree with Ariel's decision to forgive him.

Yair is back at the house and Camila scolds him like a little child (I just can't with this!).
Alone in his room, Yair takes out a CD, I believe he'll save the recorded stuff on it, right? Does he plan to create a nice mix for Ariel to enjoy the discovery better? May I suggest a soundtrack, also? "Dime" by JC Canela would work great :)

Pasion Prohibida Tuesday
Part 2

Bianca arrives home and, sure enough, Flavia is there, waiting for her. Bianca says she's been with some friends, but Flavia accuses her of being with Bruno, her lover. When Bianca denies this, Flavia says that Bruno is not in his room either. Bianca thinks people will get the wrong impression if Flavia goes to Bruno's room - a great little scene, I believe the actresses' laugh was genuine.
Flavia only wants to save Bianca's marriage, she bents over backwards to cover for her - she finally tells her about the alarm going off, but that happens off screen.

The next morning, Nina is playing the piano as Bruno gets home. She hugs him like there is no tomorrow, while Bruno flirts with her (really, Bruno?); when Deniz mentions that he's being a flirt in the house, too, these days, he points out to the fact that he could never be like this with his prima...but this goes just over Nina's head, who wants to fix him breakfast now. I feel like slapping Bruno and Deniz kind of looks the same way.

At Nico's house, everybody is happy Ariel forgave him, but Nuria warns that Willy might still harm him.

It turns out Nina caused the oven malfunction, because she was trying to bake cupcakes so she kept pushing buttons...again, Nina has no clue, but the servants realize it was her fault.

Yair is at the post office (sending a letter to someone) - coward much, Yair! Now we'll get to see what happens with this envelope, who gets it, who almost opens it, who finally sees the content - usual TN stuff.

Bianca was so alseep, she didn't even hear the alarm at night, so she tells Ariel, with Flavia joining in for backup. When Bruno appears, Ariel mentions his fight with Nico.
Enter Guillermo Aredondo!

In Ariel's office they talk about Nico being the other owner of the company who bought his stocks. But Ariel has the upper hand, because he already knows!

At the table, there is talk about Willy showing up, when Nina parades in with an omelet, specially made for Bruno. If anyone still has an appetite after seeing this little show, than kudos, Bianca sure looks nauseous.
Flavia adds her grain of salt, Deniz tries to calm down the spirits until Nina coldly says she doesn't want to study the piano anymore, because she always did it because of Deniz' pressure. She wants to start working at the company (girl, please, you didn't even start college! someone needs to b.eatch slap her fast!)

Willy insults Ariel and his family some more, until Ariel throws him out.

Yair is at the dock, asking for a job on a boat. Good riddance! He talks with a worker/ psychologist in training, who guesses that the reason he wants to work on the sea is because of love and a broken heart.

Pasion Prohibida Tuesday
Part 3

Francisca and Deniz talk about Nine being so rude to the nanny when she gave up on the piano lessons. Deniz knows Nina is only upset because she is not championing her love fest for Bruno. Francisca wants to know what are Deniz' reasons. Well, the fact that Bruno has always been a playboy and a womanizer, for starters, and then Nina is still a little girl, to innocent (and stupid, Deniz forgets to say) for her own good - I don't get how she is the only one who questions Bruno's morality, after all, they've all been exposed to his endless parade of women.
Anyway, Francisca thinks Nina should learn about life by getting faced with some difficult situations, which is kind of true, but again, I believe Deniz is right when she's not giving Nina to much credit when it comes to facing the difficulties of life.

B&B are on the phone, he wants to see her, she says it's to early, especially with her mother watching her like a hawk; they laugh and Bianca says she needs a new photo because she destroyed the one she had (and since Bruno knew about it, does this mean he was the one who put it there when he gave her the necklace? wow, very brave of him, especially considering the stage of the relationship they were in). Anyway, they keep talking, almost like teenagers and it's very sweet - I enjoy the lack of drama this time.

Tere and Camila go searching through Yair's room, Cami thinks he's hiding a confession (and I bet she thinks it's about Nina). But the camera is empty, so Tere suggests they search the laptop, in case he already downloaded it (look at Tere, the detective!).
They find a video folder, but they need a password (4 letters, I bet it's NINA); they can't guess it, and then Don Salo finds them and stops the 'investigating'.

An envelope for Ariel arrives at the company (good job, Yair, I thought you'd send it to the house).
Yair is in his room, holding the camera and imagining how Ariel is throwing Bruno out of the house, gun in his hands and all, accusing him in front of the entire house and then having a heart attack.

Bruno gets into Bianca's room in search of the necklace. He puts a new picture in the pendant and then finds the diary; at first I thought he was gonna read it, but instead, he writes "Te Amo" on a page - and this is really, really sweet!
But Flavia sees him get out of the room!

At the company, the receptionist gives the envelope to Nico to verify, because it doesn't have a sender!

Flavia goes into Bianca's room and straight to the closet, where she quickly finds the diary and opens it.

Cielos

I'm puzzled about Irina being at the party. I know Marco invited her, but as far as I know they only met once when Marco & Leo investigated the painting. What was Irina's reason for going? Maybe she is with interpol.
She made Ramiro very nervous. She likes to toy with peoples minds.

Cielos

Variopinta, I think that Irina went for several reasons. One is that she finds Marco attractive (as she made clear in her remarks to Marco about Leo's finding him attractive). Another is that she thinks the party might be a good place to get/overhear information that she can use. She always wants to be on the winning side, so she needs to do favors for anyone she sees as in a position to help or hurt her.

EL SENOR/CIELOS

Variopinta and Juanita - I think Marcos invited Irina to the general's party because he objectively or intuitively knows that she is a strong link between AC and someone in higher government circles. She may be attracted to him, but I believe he's using her to get to AC. Granted, he doesn't know she's sleeping with AC, but he does suspect that she had something to do with the painting Danny received and that it might have been from AC

Beth

Cielos

Alas, I don't have time to try an extensive recap, but I can offer a little account of the party at Danny and Doris's. As was evident even in the previous avances, Ramiro's wife, Sonia, comes upon Ramiro and Irina kissing and hugging. She's furious, and after Irina leaves, she tells Ramiro that she's fed up and threatens to reveal all his dirty business. At first, Ramiro thinks she's simply referring to his affair with Irina, and he's not at all worried, but Sonia makes it clear that she's talking about all his dirty business deals and his connections to drug lords. That gets his attention. He returns her threat, telling her that if she opens her mouth about any of that, she'll find herself kidnapped and cut into pieces. That gets her attention.

Sonia then has several drinks and doesn't feel so well. She has a conversation with Doris in which she tells Doris that she (Sonia) envies her because Doris has a husband who respects her.

At some point, Doris excuses herself to go make some coffee for Sonia. Marco approaches Sonia, who asks whether he is Marco Mejia. When he says yes, she asks whether he has a car and whether he would drive her home, since she doesn't feel well. He asks whether she's the woman who called him that morning. In true telenovela timing, Ramiro appears and, upon learning that Sonia doesn't feel well, says he will take her home. So Marco and Sonia miss their big opportunity.

I'm already running late, so I'll have to stop now. With any luck, Hombre will soon appear with a recap of last night's entire episode.

Cielos

Beth, my response to Variopinta was an attempt to answer her question about why Irina went to the party. I agree with what you've said about why Marco invited her. In addition, I think he invited her to see who she seems to know. That might help him to figure out who in the government might have ties to AC.

Pasión Prohibida -

thanks so much Adriana Noel,

fortunately my tv survived the pummeling it got,

twice in this show that camcorder appeared smashed/thrown away, but has more lives than a cat, now the video is in his computer, and the disc he made, (the one with the "Dime" soundtrack, Ha!) somehow I don't think it will make it's way to Ariel, the way this show is going he is bound to be the last one to find out.

always good to see Guillermo's plans foiled,

looks like Nico is back at the office, not the construction thingy, but did he give back the company shares he had? I think Ariel made the right choice, Nico is like a puppy,

I too was wondering if Bruno put his picture in the original locket,

wow, Flavia doesn't miss a trick, it's no wonder her daughters are the way they are, Bianca, instead of marrying Ariel to foil her plans, should have just packed a bag and moved far, far, away.

CIELOS:

Juanita- Thanks for getting us started on the recap. Yes, hopefully Hombre will add more.

The other major stuff that happened is that Guadalupe’s guys failed to kill Sabino in prison, and he manages to get one of his attackers to admit it was Gaudalupe who sent. Sabino had been sure it was AC. This spells trouble for Guadalupe down the road, and he, Monica, and Roxana look worried when they hear the attempt failed. Monica can say I told you so.

AC seems to be getting off on playing these power games with the other cartels and the Colombians. Turco loses his cool big time and reminds AC that they are dealing with Ximena’s LIFE here. AC reminds him that Ximena is his wife, not Turco’s.

Heriberto blows off an evening of playing games with Mati to go deep into Villalobo territory to a pool bar, with only one man as backup. His intent is to find intel on the location of his mother. Villalobo’s men spot him and call Juan to see if they should take the opportunity to kidnap Beto too. Juan taunts Ximena with this and gives the ok. But just then, Don Cleto walks into the bar with a whole bunch of men as backup, so the plan changes to scrapping the kidnapping and getting out of there without being noticed. Beto, who is getting smarter each episode, has noticed the guy watching him and confronts him. The guy makes up a story about just passing through, but both Beto and Cleto know he’s a Villalobo man. Beto tries to follow him out, but Cleto stops him, telling him that there is no way the guy would drive to the hideout and lead them there after he knows he’s been found out.

Both Cleto and Alba confront Mati about her crappy attitude, game playing, and all around efforts to sink the family. Alba refuses to turn her back on her grandchild (Victor Jr.) just because Mati doesn’t like it.

To show how serious he is about getting his brother out of jail and freed in the next three hours, Juan shoots Ximena in the leg while AC listens on the phone! AC freaks out and puts major pressure on Danny to get Sabino out, while at the same time panning a major ambush with his allies. If Ximena dies or is hurt, it will be all out war. We see Sabino being transported out of jail and put in an ambulance, reluctantly. The question is, will he be returned to his brother in time to save Ximena and avoid an all out war? And even if the prisoner exchange is made in time, will AC still declare war? They did shoot Ximena, after all.

Cielos
Juanita
Marco probably suspects some relationship with Aurelio & Irina because of the painting, but does he suspect the one with Ramiro or is he just trying to stir things up to see what sticks? Irina is smart enough to know she is being used. I don't remember who recommended that gallery to Aurelio.

We haven't found out yet why she is called La Rusa.

He suspects Gen Dan of being corrupt & these are his associates.

I think that was the president asking Marco who he suspected of corruption & hopefully we get an answer tonight.

Corruption in Mex. Read this. She is a Mormon mother of 7 from the AZ, doesn't sound like a drug smuggler to me. Sounds like a shake down.
If you try to smuggle drugs on a bus, put them under someone else's seat.

I didn't realize that Juan shot Ximena in the leg.
It's goodbye Guadelupe & adios Juan, Aurelio will get revenge & he is clearly smarter than they are.
Monica will probably turn on her hermano, I think she is fed up with him.

CIELOS:

Varipinta- Yep. And he was pretty dismissive about it too. Telling her she wouldn't die from a wound like that, as streams of blood run down her leg. AC is NOT going to be pleased.

CIELOS:

Thanks, Juanita and Vivi, your recaps were so good, I don't have to do one! But I'll just add a few details.

The whole cocktail party didn't seem to last very long. Everyone's leaving soon after the confrontation between Ramiro and Sonia. Sonia actually said "no way" to Marco when he asked if she was the one on the phone. But he still suspects her, because why would she seek HIM out to take her home? The next day, Marco is discussing this with Leo, who is sort of obsessed with the fact that Marco and Irina were so close, did he happen to sleep with her?

In fact, after the party, Marco had gone back to the hospital to help Eugenia break the news to Linares that he's paralyzed. Eugenia sadly tells Marco the Linares figured it out on his own.

Danny finally has had it with Doris. Look, I'm tired of you criticizing me! From now on, I'll handle it MY way! He calls someone to help get Sabino transferred. Later, when he meets Marco and Leo, they notice he's VERY nervous in talking about government corruption. So at the end of the episode, Benitez and the President ask them, who's your prime suspect? Will they say Ramiro? Will they say Danny? I'm guessing they won't say anything for now. BTW, I agree with the poster who said that if Leo goes undercover, Danny could give her away. That's something Marco and Leo haven't considered, since they still sort of trust Danny.

When Guad tells Roxie and Monica that the men he hired to kill Sabino in jail (two big young guys with knives, who were subdued by the aging, but cagey Sabino), Roxie points out let's hope they don't find out who ordered it. Monica basically goes DUH!

Even after Ramiro's threats, Sonia still is considering doing something, as she takes out her little notebook.

Turco says he opposes what Aurelio is doing, saying by giving in to Juan V., it shows weakness. Turco has to stop criticizing so much.

Cleto was REALLY mad at Matilde. But she STILL doesn't seem to get it.

LA PATRONA:

My favorite line from the episode: Lucho and Irene are visiting Lucia in the hospital. Lucho is disguised (sort of) as a doctor. When a REAL doctor comes in, I don't recognize you, Lucho goes, "Oh, yes, well, I'm, ummm, I'm her plastic surgeon (pointing to Irene). And I'm just come to check out her....um..mammaries. And they really look good!"

I also liked when Antonia gives Macario the orders, kill Gaston. So they accost him outside the radio station, Lucas pulls his gun. But Gaston says, I'm a man of peace. And look behind you. Behind them are two huge hulking guards, working for Vero, pointing THEIR guns at Lucas and Macario!

David does sort of remember that when he was drunk, Vero talked to him just the way his Mom used to.

Constanza goes to Balmy, "I've come to bring justice to this town." She proceeds to tell Balmy all kinds of things, although she does lie about Gaby being dead. Ricardo backs her up. And for proof, they're going to ask Gertrudis!

The fun continues!

Cielos

It's possible that Gen Dan wont know about Aurelio's amante Leo. Dan & AC always meet on the sly at that garage.
And Leo sure looks different in her disguise, if he should happen to see her. It will be a little tricky though, working for Dan & Aurelio.

El Señor de los Cielos -

thanks so much all!

am I missing something about Irina, I thought she was called La Rusa because her parents were Russian who moved to France,

didn't Aurelio have Topo call Juan to let him know there was a problem, the attempt on Sabino's life, and Juan cut him off, shot Ximena, and gave him only 3 hours, that seems a little extreme for getting a guy out of prison,

Heriberto seems to be growing up, even though his dad isn't around much, and I guess the occasional slap by Don Cleto helps, as well as humiliates him, did he really take Matilde's only bodyguard and leave her there alone,

Sonia looked a little rattled to find herself in the narco world, but as she was fondling her little book, I was hoping that it would find it's way to Marco, after all that is pretty much all she knows, and Marco could use the info without exposing her,

Gen Dan is an interesting character, he doesn't appear insane over this money/power thing, he seems more like a guy from simple beginnings, very intelligent, who has always done the best with what he has had to work with, and now living in this corrupt world has become good at juggling all of the factors, I think he has also seen that an honest/straight guy in the military wouldn't last very long, but one of his biggest accomplishments, and why he is playing this game now, I think is his wife.

PASIóN PROHIBIDA

great recap, Adriana Noel! LOL on your description of Nina's state of slight undress that certainly does not befit her.

Terribly disappointed it turned out to be just a dream (I agree with you - Yair is the worst).

The B&B talking on the phone scene was really cute.

deb - funny 'camcorder having more lives than a cat.' so Bruno himself did put his picture in the locket, huh? wonder why they didn't show that when he first gave it to her?

DAME CHOCOLATE

unfortunately, my cable provider does not carry the network that airs this show. shame. I really liked Carlos Ponce back in the late 90s.

PASION PROHIBIDA

AdrianaNoel, excellent summary with your special wit shining through. Good one on the "Dime" soundtrack. Nice to see B&B in some relaxed moments, wasn't it?
Reveal failure. Again. Arrggh, I'm so anxious to have truth out that I fall for the lame dream tricks.
Yes, Yair is pathetic and a coward, but he's not evil. I feel for Yair, Deniz, and Nico, all basically good, hard-working people caught up in so much drama. And Nico really is in it now, DVD in hand and with such conflicting loyalties, needing to show loyalty to Ariel, rival of Bruno, bro-in-law of Bianca.
A side note, Francisca is so hard with her sharp eyes!
Clara

CIELOS:

Deb, one thing we found out was Irina's last name, Borodin, which is definitely Russian. But once she said her nickname was a "long story", so we're hoping to find out more about it.

LA PATRONA - Tuesday, epi 100,

a hung over David, out of the shower, is visited by our little hooker with a fresh bottle, he is not taken with her "easy" ways and remembers what Veronica said about alcohol, he later returns the bottle to Antonia,

Alejandro is watching over Lucia when Lucho in disguise appears, whoa, he is not happy at all, and is struggling hiding it from Lucia who is happy to see her duende, (is this jealousy), Patti and Irene then show up and he leaves Lucia in Irene's care,

Balmy, who is interrogating the handcuffed Chopo is confronted by Anibal and the corrupt judge, who demand his release, "by who's authority, Antonia's?" he sloughs them off, (why isn't Ricardo ever doing judge things), they run to Antonia, who will fix the problem in one phone call, Balmy doesn't take her call,

David shows up at Francisca's, (wow, this is so perfect for the two of them), they hug, Francisca calls Gabriela with the news, a rare genuine smile comes across her face,

Antonia tells Macario, and his mini-me, to take care of Gastón, Lucas pulls a gun on him but there are two of Veronica's gorillas behind them,

once again at the giant dinner table there is only Antonia, but now accompanied by her little hooker, where is David,
"he left",
"call him"
"he left his cell phone here"

later Antonia assembles the whole staff, who saw David leave, everyone goes stupid,

Constanza, carefully dresses, hair, makeup, jewelry, has Ricardo accompany her to Balmy's office, "wait I never forget a face, that's right the picture in Ricardo's office, you are Constanza, but wait, she is dead, they sit and talk,

yes me, Gabriela, and Lucho, were held in the manicomio,
with details including the electro shock,
she hands over the evidence that Gertrudis gave them,
they will visit her for collaboration,

Anibal and the corrupt judge head over to the doll house to relax,
Macario and little macario come in as well, "what will we tell Antonia",

Veronica is getting an idea of how much danger Francisca and David are in, she sends guards and calls Francisca, "DON'T let Antonia in",

Veronica flashes over what Irene was saying while she was praying, she asks Gastón, do you think can people change for the good,

Francisca and David enjoy a meal, better that any restaurant I have ever been to around the world, maybe because you are home,
Bang! Bang! Bang! on her metal front door,
it's Antonia.....

LA PATRONA:

Deb, I loved that recap!

CIELOS:

Or maybe Irina's last name is Borodina, since Russians usually add an "a" to the end of female's names. There was a famous Russian composer named Alexander Borodin, and there's a relatively famous opera singer who has sung with the Met recently, mezzo soprano Olga Borodina.

Cielos
Hombre
imbd lists Irina's name as Wolody, they are often wrong though.

Pasion Prohibida

Deb, Camila must have spent a fortune on that video camera, it sure proves to be resistant.
I remember when Bianca first discovered Bruno's picture, we weren't sure if she'd put it there before, or it had been him, when he first gave it to her on Christmas, when their romance was barely a hint in Bruno's imagination.

Shallowgal, the actress playing Nina is very beautiful, but Nina, the character looks so much like a girl still, that seeing her dressed like that was really uncomfortable. And in front of her father...I would never let my dad see me like this, no matter how old I am. And anyway, even after her makeover, Nina is the same person, she didn't just mature over night, so seeing her so giddy about Bruno's love is just the worst (no, Yair is, so this has to be second worst).
Dame Chocolate is truly great, I loved it - it's the story of an ugly duckling who comes back to exact revenge on the ones who've harmed her (including scrumptiolicious "gets better with age" Carlos Ponce).
If you have the time, you could try watch it on line, I almost feel like watching it again, too.

CIELOS

Deb, during pillow talk Irina told Aurelio that her parents were Russian, but they had emigrated to France (Paris?). So she grew up naturally bilingual in Russian and French. She likes to throw in some Russian when she's with AC and then tell him what she said in Spanish.

Mathilde causes me to wax metaphorically. She reminds me of a bad dog; something went wrong in its early puppyhood and you can't break it of bad behavior no matter what kind of threats you use. She also reminds me of someone standing there with a grenade laughingly threatening to pull the pin. Don Cleto could have her killed. He's perfectly capable. But I don't think the writers are going that way. In my opinion the more likely outcome is that Chacorta finds out. And that could go a LOT of different ways.

Boy I hope that Ramiro goes down hard. What a despicable guy! Irina must actually be cold as ice in order to get it on with him for whatever advantage it is she gets. Obviously, she prefers Aurelio as a bedmate.

I just about cheered when Danny told the harpy wife to butt out. Since she knows about the corruption, I don't know why he doesn't tell her that this particular issue is a woman's life!

We should start a lottery to see how long Juan Villalobos survives! At this point I'm pretty sure Ximena is going to survive. But Juan, not so much.

Pasion Prohibida

Clara, I'm wondering what will Nico do with the recording if he sees it, too. Maybe he asks Penelope what to do about it before telling Ariel? Or, since Ariel forgave him, he decides to be upfront and tell him?

I'm finding it hard to believe that Nico will be the one to reveal the secret, who ever wants to do it changes his/ her mind or doesn't have enough proof, or something happens. I believe by the time the last episodes roll over, everybody will know and will have tried to tell Ariel.
But I really think he should find out on his own, maybe by catching them in the act...it would be really dramatic and since they are already channeling Flavia and Ivan...

CIELOS

Thanks, Hombre, never thought I'd see the composer Alexander Borodin mentioned in a telenovela blog! I knew the name rang a bell, and Wikipedia told me that he wrote the music that was later adapted for the broadway show, Kismet. The famous song from that show is "Stranger in Paradise".

LA PATRONA

I'll do a recap tonight.

I'm having a hard time figuring out the timing of this one. The way things are coming together, we could be in últimos capítulos. But supposedly it runs until July.

I love David's turnaround. The young man is a good actor, showing all the changes he's gone through since Antonia Guerra began trying to take over his life.

I practically cheered when Balmy wouldn't take Antonia's call.

I enjoyed the hospital scene when Lucía forced her papí and Lucho to shake hands. Ale didn't like it, but he's smart enough to see that Lucho cares about his daughter. The "mammary" scene was so fun. The actress playing Irene looked like she laughed for realz.

It was great to see Francisca smile at having David there. This could be healing for them both.

CIELOS:

Variopinta, maybe it's Wolody, I was going by what I thought I heard, since I don't use captions. And Wolody also sounds Russian to me. Or maybe IMDB is wrong, as you suggest.

Novelera, that's right about the song Stranger in Paradise. I'm an opera nut, and next year, for the first time (or maybe the first time in many years), the NY Met Opera is doing Prince Igor, Borodin's opera, and I'm going!

LA PATRONA:

Novelera- Ditto to all your comments.

I am so glad David moved in with Fran. I originally suggested he and Ale move in together, but this is a great solution for both him and Fran. I have been just as worried about her lately, with all her talk of wanting to die. If Gaston isn't enough of a reason for her to want to live, I'm hoping she thinks David is.

Balmy has moved back up in my estimation since he dumped Guerra, and then followed up on Fran's dream. I feel like his bout of stupidity was just the writers stalling the story, because now he seems to be back to how he was when he first arrived.

PASION PROHIBIDA

I thought the oven in the house would catch on fire distracting Ariel from shooting Bruno. But it was a fantasy (Well not the overheating oven)> Really pissed off.

Cielos

I watched again & after reading the comments, I got a lot more out of it.

Looks like Ximena got shot in the thigh, there is a major artery there.
She told Juan if he killed her, he would die in a very cruel way. That will happen anyway, don't mess with Aurelio's mujer.

Sabino thought Aurelio was the one that wanted him dead but one of them said no, then when he had him down on the floor, he said Robles.

Is Topo a traitor to Aurelio or what?
Didn't Cabo tell him that he was?

I love the intrigue in this, so well done. I also watch Corazón Indomable, sorry to say I can't say the same.

CIELOS

Thanks very much, Vivi and Hombre, for your helpful recaps.

Vivi, I almost always agree with what you say, but I'm not so sure about Heriberto's becoming smarter with each episode. I was astonished when he entered the pool hangout with only one guy for backup. He could easily have been kidnapped or even killed. Don Cleto is doing his best to teach him what he needs to know, but Heriberto also looks up to hot-headed role models like Aurelio and Chacorta. It's not yet clear whose lessons will prevail, and whether any of them will do any good in the long run.

LA PATRONA

Thanks, Deb, for the great recap. This was one of the more up-lifting episodes of the TN - fun to watch and then to read your enjoyable recap.

I really laughed at "Macario and his mini-me, trying to take care of Gastón…. Lucas pulls a gun on him but there are two of Veronica's gorillas behind them". M and mini-M looked astounded that Gaston wasn't shaking in his boots when they accosted him. I loved their hasty retreat when they saw why he wasn't afraid of them.

And then when "Anibal and the corrupt judge head over to the doll house to relax," the judge complained that no one has ever talked to him with such disrespect as Balmy Rod just did. I LOL'd.

Was Coni limping? Her gait seemed a little off - maybe it's the shoes. Her scene with Rod was terrific. Coni was so poised and in control. She certainly will make a great witness if any of this ever goes to trial.

I think Rod's back, thinking with his big head again.

David back at Francisca's (and Tigre's) house was so nostalgic for both of them. And it was wise of Gaby/Vero to send her big guys over there for protection.

When Antonia was pounding on the door, wasn't it like the big bad lobo yelling to be let in?

Beth

LA PATRONA

Beth, funny!!! Loved Big Bad Lobo! ¡Soplo y soplo hasta que su casa caiga!

I heard what I thought was Borodin, but Wolody could sound sort of like that. Hombre, I'm jealous. I love Prince Igor. Maybe I'll save up for tickets. If you go to the Met website, there's a sound clip of the "Stranger in Paradise" song from the Polovstian Dances, sung by the chorus. Gorgeous!

Nice recapping all around. I'm puzzled by Irina. She's not part of anybody's mob. Did someone mention Interpol? Glad to see Beto manning-up and figuring out how the game is played, but I hate the idea of a young person coming up through the ranks of such an odious organization.

Sonia has me worried. She could lose it all now that she's blabbed what she knows to that beast of a Ramiro.

Cielos
I also thought interpol. Some of you don't like her looks but I do.
She isn't as pretty as Ximena, Leo, Eugenia & Matilde but she is very sophisticated looking.

I hope Ramiro doesn't find Sonia's diary & it gets in Marco's hands.

EL SENOR

Thanks, Vivi and Hombre for the recaps. They really help.

Topo may be AC's ally (or not) in rescuing Ximena, but he does come across to AC as intent on helping with the plan. It seems that there may be some positive history with Topo and AC. Even though Cabo told AC not to trust Topo, Cabo has his own agenda with AC, and that does not include a partnership with Topo. Cabo is playing a dangerous game with both Oscar and AC and has a lot to lose if Topo were to put a bad spin on Cabo's involvement with AC.

I loved Monica's look when Lupe and Roxana were saying they hoped AC and Juan don't find out who ordered the hit on Sabino. Monica is pretty cold blooded, but I can't see her having idiot Lupe killed. Roxana, though, is only related by marriage...

It was a relief to see Cleto show up at the bar. His instincts are usually good - they saved Beto's butt.

Sonia said way too much to Ramiro. He may not know about her diary, but now he knows he can't trust her, and I didn't think his comments about being cut up in little pieces were an idle threat.

Ximena's not going to bleed to death from that gun shot to the thigh. Those guys are always getting shot up - they know how to stop the bleeding.

For the first time in this story Mati looked apprehensive, even a little scared, when Cleto visited her at the night club.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!! I was surprised by the reveal supposedly happening so quickly, but was really happy to see it FINALLY happen (and I was SURE Bianca was going to wind up getting shot), and THEN... WHAAAAAT??? A DAYDREAM??? I did NOT anticipate this, and was SO disappointed!! So we draaaag on for the next few weeks. PLEASE tell me Ariel doesn't find out in the LAST freaking episode. I've never seen the original, and have been afraid to look up recaps--not sure I want to know how this one ends.

The Ariel rape thing better have some SERIOUS consequences. SOON.

I think I would like Yair better with much less crying.

That whole kitchen fire thing was weird and random. I expected more drama out of that.

Adriana Noel, your "girl, please!" comment totally made me laugh-- this is what I heard in my head: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Fpjssv01QU :)

I've been watching DAME CHOCOLATE. It's quite charming! A bit like Llena de Amor, my first telenovela ever (Yup, I'm a newbie).

They need Oscar for the drugs unless it's is Cabo & Tijera's plan to take over Oscars operation, however I don't see them as able as Oscar. Maybe it's Aurelio's plan to take over Oscars operation, but he is Mex & it seems to me it needs to be a Colombian, but maybe not.

I can't find the name of the actor that plays Juan Villalobos, Sabino is listed. Does Juan have a nickname?

LA PATRONA – MIÉRCOLES – Part 1

Antonia has completely lost it. She shrieks outside the door that Francisca is going to rot in jail. She will accuse her of corrupting a minor. Francisca grabs a handy shotgun and points it at the closed door. David looks pretty scared.

Gertrudis is more BSC than ever. She falls in lust with Ricardo, telling him that she can smell that he’s enjoying the carnal pleasures. She asks who the lucky woman was to beat her to him. In Balmaceda’s office, at the sight of Constanza, she comes unglued. She kind of deliriously confesses, saying she didn’t mean to hurt her. They made her do it.

Antonia is rapidly destroying any relationship she might have had with her grandson. She yells that she got him away from his mother the killer and she isn’t going to let him live with a prostitute. Fran tells him to open the door, and Antonia looks right into the barrel of a shotgun.

Constanza tells Gertrudis to tell Balmaceda the truth, so that he can protect her from Connie herself and from the lobos. Gertrudis tells all. She says that Senator Villegas paid her to make Constanza disappear, to make her so crazy that she wouldn’t even know her own name. She describes giving her electroshock over and over again. And, the following day giving her huge doses of barbiturates.

Francisca tells Antonia she’s the corruptor of the young, giving David alcohol. She racks the shotgun! Antonia pulls out her own gun and they stare at each other. In classic telenovela fashion, Alejandro arrives. He tells his mother to lower the gun. He tells her that David left of his own accord, just like he did, because he couldn’t stand being around her. David gently pushes down Francisca’s shotgun and asks Antonia not to do anything she’ll regret. She says this won’t stand, and whoever confronts La Patrona pays.

Patti has come to the hospital to bring Ricardito, While he and Lucía play, Patti tells Irene she’s going to challenge Guerra for the presidency. The main reason is that Guerra told her she would wipe her out like she did her mother.

Gertrudis is still on a roll. She says that Gabriela Suárez was too strong for her. She put out her eye. But she put her in the catacombs for years.

Alejandro tells Francisca and David that Antonia won’t rest until she takes David back. David says he doesn’t want to live with her any more. He plans to stay with Francisca until he leaves for the University, and then will never return to SPDO.

Antonia tries to push her way past Ricardo to see Balmy. Ricky threatens to put her in a cell. Antonia tells him she gave him affection when his mother abandoned him. Ricky is furious and barely restrains himself from ripping her head off. Balmy comes out and tells her to respect the judge. When they go off to one side, Balmy reminds her that she told him not to seek her out again, and he’s respecting her wishes. She coos that she was angry, but this doesn’t mean their relationship is over. Then she raves that Francisca has kidnapped David and has to be put in jail.

Balmy asks Ricky why he didn’t say before that his mother was alive. He replies that she had to be ready for this after so many years of living in fear. Balmy says he understands.

Macario and Lucas come to tell the Red Queen that Gastón had bodyguards and is still alive. “Off with your heads!” [not really, but close].

Balmy tells Constanza he can’t arrest Aníbal right away. Ricardo says they’ll first strip him of his place in the congress. And then Constanza and Gertrudis can testify against him. Balmy says he’ll put out a restraining order against Aníbal. Constanza says the house he lives in is rightly hers by inheritance.

LA PATRONA – MIÉRCOLES – Part 2

Aníbal is drunk on his ass at La Casa de las Muñecas. He passes out while with one of the women. The madam says he won’t remember a thing in the morning, and they’ll charge him with the full menu!

We see a happy scene of Constanza’s homecoming and her introduction to the staff.

Antonia again managed to get into Balmaceda’s room and she’s waiting for him when he arrives. She says she missed him and has come to beg his pardon. It looks like Balmy’s going to fall into the spider web again, but he remembers Constanza saying that Antonia paid for Gabriela Suárez to be tortured and made insane. [Some of the checks Constanza brought as evidence were signed by Antonia.] When she reminds him she saved his life, he asks why she was there in the first place. How did she know where the ambush would be? He answers his own question. Either you ordered it or were an accomplice. Which one? Antonia keeps trying, but Balmy thinks about Gabriela’s four years in the catacombs, and pulls away. He tells her he can’t do it. He also tells her she still has the power to attract him, but tonight…no. Then she asks him to arrest Francisca! He just laughs. David is 18. It’s not legal. She says legal or not legal doesn’t matter. Who is not with me is my enemy.

Aníbal comes home, a lot the worse for wear, and two huge guards won’t let him in. Ricardo tells him it’s not his house and never was his house. Constanza comes out then. “I said you’ll never set foot in my house again.” She tells him the morgue photos in NYC were fakes, paid for by the inheritance he tried to take from her. When he says he’ll go to the police, she tells him she’s already been there, and pressed charges against him.

Francisca has a nice breakfast planned. David gets up, looking happy and rested. Two guests arrive: Vero and Cecilia. Cecilia walks by without speaking to him. Later David asks to speak to Ceci alone, and they leave the kitchen. He begs her to forgive him and admits that she was right about his grandmother. He also swears he had no sex with Eugenia. Ceci, of course, ends up kissing him.

Aníbal tries to appeal to Ricardito to stay there and is roundly castigated for this after the child is taken back inside. Aníbal begs Constanza not to send him to jail. He starts clutching his arm, saying he’s having a heart attack. She says she doesn’t want him to get off that easily.

Balmy, who’s almost redeemed himself, falls precipitously off his pedestal again when he starts grilling Alejandro, threatening him with jail for obstruction of justice, about Lucho Vampa. He says he suspects Constanza and Lucho still see each other. As a parting shot he tells Ale he should tell his friends that he’s watching them. Oh, right, Balmy, way to prioritize! Dogged pursuit of con artist or go after multiple murderers? What to do?

Speaking of the con artist, he’s just met Poncia on the street looking very cute in his denim jacket and cowboy hat. He’s asking her to leave a window open in her bedroom. It’s the best way to get into Antonia’s office. He wants to get a few things out of her safe. [Remember how he cracked Julio Montemar’s safe lickety split?] He teases Poncia, who replies she’s a decent woman. Lucho says he could quickly cure her of this defect!

The guard Vero sent to Francisca’s house gets a tummy ache and comes inside. David asks Vero if he can be Cecilia’s novio, and she says only if he quits drinking. He promises. Now Guerra manages to walk right in. She says she knew Vero was behind this and is trying to take David from her. She says that, if that’s the plan, this means war. Vero tells her it was war a long time ago.

PASION PROHIBIDA
Okay, Pasionistas: are they cutting this novela short? Because what about the big mystery with Deniz' father in France, some big secret about him that Bruno was in on. When the story started Bruno was just returning from France I think, doing Deniz some big favor having to do with her father. I can't believe they are going to have time to revisit that whole (thin) plot line, so I'm just saying.

Juanita- LOL! Well, no, Beto is not a genius yet. But he is becoming more aware and savvy. And his idea of finding out intel at that bar was a good one, and may have worked if the spy weren't someone known to the Villalobos like he is.

LA PATRONA

Novelera - thanks for the super-quick super-cap. What a great episode, and you really did it justice!

The music for the opening credits has changed. Does this mean good things are finally coming to the tigres?

Antonia certainly had her crazy on tonight - first at Francisca's with the gun and her wild threats and then at the police station with Ricardo and Rod.

I loved the expression on her face when she asked M and mini-M why Gaston wasn't dead. Loved your "Red Queen" and "off with your heads".

And so much for Rod's telling the hotel staff to never let anyone into his room….

Rod must have seen her evil look when she told him that if he wasn't with her, he was against her. In fact, I thought her face and make-up had a pale, sinister effect during that scene in his hotel room.

The convo between Lucho and Poncia was cute. His offer to fix her decency defect (and her raised eyebrows!) was hilarious.

The best scene of the night though, was the mother and son tag team on Anibal. He deserved every word of what they said to him. And I loved that Coni said she'll pay for whatever medical care Anibal needs because he's not going to get off easy by dying!

Pasion Prohibida Wednesday
Part 1

Flavia finds Bianca's journal and starts reading it; she hears voices in the hallway, Tere is planning to get inside to collect the laundry, but then she changes her mind. Flavia gets out of the bathroom, where she'd hid and leaves the room with the diary, unseen.

Nina is reading by the pool when Deniz comes to talk to her, but not about the piano lessons, she won't insists with that (because, obviously, Nina prefers to do nothing all day long; she's not even going to college - maybe she and Bruno aren't so mistmatched, after all); Deniz urges Nina not to believe what Flavia is telling her, because it is all an invention, a misunderstanding. Nina thinks that Deniz doesn't consider her good enough for Bruno, but it's actually the other way around, since Deniz thinks Nina is to good for him, and besides, his cousin.
Later on we see Nina crying in her room, while Deniz tries to comfort her, so that means she kind of believes the nanny, finally.

At the company, Nico is the one to receive the envelope; he goes to his office, inserts the CD, and just as he is about to watch it Yair comes in running, asks him not to watch the content, because it's not meant for Ariel, but for him - it's the result of his medical analysis that the hospital sent to Ariel's office by mistake. Nico is very confused, but accepts to give Yair the CD.
Later he tells Francisca about the incident and Francisca calls Deniz telling her that there must be something wrong with Yair's health if he had that reaction at the office - and, YES, there is something terribly wrong with him, he is just the most annoying, whinny, unsufferable character I've ever seen in a TN (and I've seen plenty) - I CAN NOT BELIEVE that he changed his mind yet again!

In her room Flavia is reading the diary, rolling her eyes and expressing her hypocritical shock while learning all of her daughter's most private thoughts.

In the meantime, unaware of the trouble they're in, B&B are in the living room; Bruno is in the mood for some kissing, but Bianca is afraid someone will see them. They talk about Flavia, the Nina situation, the fact that Ariel will ask Bruno to marry Nina; the thought scares Bruno enough to ask Bianca to help him with tio, but Bianca thinks they should take advantage of this opportunity and just run away or confess the truth, like they always planned. Oh, no, what if the tio has a heart attack, just like your father, Bruno asks. Bianca doesn't care about this now, she just can't keep lieing anymore - she starts weeping, Bruno tries to comfort her, give her the reassurance that there will never be anything between he and Nina - what they need to do, he says, is stop these rumors and continue with their secret love until Bianca and Ariel are distanced enough for her to leave him. But that could take ages, Bianca says and weeps some mote. Bruno kisses her and tells her he left two surprises in her room: a gift and a message in her diary.

Flavia and Nina meet in front of Flavia's room, Nina wants to talk, but Flavia is in a hurry to go put the diary back where she found it. So she goes upstairs, puts the diary back and when she gets out of Bianca's room, she meets her daughter and Nina in the hallway.
Bianca is upset her mother was in her room, but eventually goes away, leaving Nina and Flavia alone.
Nina asks Flavia to stop speculating about Bruno, stop putting ideas in her head (Yey, Nina!) - until Bruno himself tells her how he feels, she doesn't want to talk about this anymore because as far as she is concerned his so called feelings don't exist. Flavia assures her Bruno will speak soon enough. What are you planning, Flavia? Oh, God, I could strangle her!

Pasion Prohibida Wednesday
Part 1

Bianca finds the picture in her room and smiles; but then, instead of Bruno's message, she only finds a ripped page in her diary and panicks!

In the kitchen Don Salo scolds Yair for leaving without a word, not fulfilling his work duties; he asks him what is the matter, how can he help - but Yair would rather kill us all with his idiocy than ask for help or try to unburden his shoulders.

Later he talks to Deniz, when she asks him about his health problems and the analysis that arrived at the office; he makes up a story about the CD not containing any medical tests, but some papers from his new job on a boat. Because he is leaving, after all, and like a thief, without saying goodbye to anyone. Deniz tries to reason with him, but she has no luck, obviously. He only asks her to take care of Nina, not let Bruno hurt her (when the idiot is the only one who has the key to solving this situation, for better or for worse).

Flavia and Bianca fight about the missing page, but Flavia won't cave; she just warns her daughter to hide her diary better because others might get to it, too (and this is the best advice she's ever given to anyone).

Here there was a little problem with the editing of the episode, so I'm just gonna recap it as it should have been edited.

Bianca tells Bruno that the page he wrote her is gone; we see Flavia reading the 'Te Amo' message, as Ariel joins B&B and Bruno leaves. Ariel wants to talk with Bruno about his feelings for Nina once and for all, Bianca advices him not to jump to conclusions until he's sure.

Yair is packing his bags, while remembering how he saw B&B in the taller, and then how he kissed Nina and Nina's talk with Deniz in the morning (that he overheard). Deniz walks in, asks him to reconsider, but she might as well talk to the walls.
When he's alone he writes what seems to be a goodbye letter to the family. Bye bye, Yair, don't let the door hit you where the sun don't shine!

Bruno is in his room, remembering when he wrote in Bianca's journal - cue for some dramatic music, while Bruno is scrambling in his pretty head for a way to get out of this mess.

He finally puts his big boy pants on and goes to talk to Nina; she's wearing another sexy pj thingie, Bruno asks her to cover up, but Nina is in seduction mode and refuses. He wants to talk to her about the rumors going around the house and what Flavia has been saying. Nina is so happy, she thinks this is her love declaration, because she encourages him to speak when he can't really find his words (and you have to understand him here because this is the first time in his life that Bruno actually takes a stand); so, in order to help him confess, she wrapps her arms around his neck, just as Ariel walks in. All of Bruno's courage runs through the opened door and he doesn't know how to get out fast enough. Ariel wants to talk to him, but Bruno has to study, so he bolts, leaving Ariel as confused as ever and Nina happily imagining this was probably her love declaration.

Yair finally manages to get out of his room, with a bag and all; he stops by the entrance, runs upstairs to Nina's room, who is asleep and says 'te amo', before leaving again. I was afraid that Nina was awake and thought it was Bruno, but we were spared of that, thankfully.

Yair finally leaves the house...but for how long...who knows.

Pasion Prohibida

correction- in my recap I wrote Part 1 two times, but you'll get the idea.

It seems to me that Bruno doesn't think he is worthy of being a part of the Piamonte family; deep down he still thinks he is that orphan that Ariel saved and he's still afraid to be left alone without his uncle's protection. From a psychological point of view, I understand him, but it's still hard to watch, no matter what his reasons are.

NovelaMan, I's so happy I don't have to recap the next two episodes, because I don't see anything good happening.

J in Oregon, I don't think there is any big secret concerning Deniz' father, I don't remember this being addressed to much at the beginning, so I'm not waiting for any kind of resolution with it.

AnotherAmy, THANK YOU for the video, this is exactly how I pictured it in my head, too - glad you got it!
I'm starting to believe we're supposed to forget the rape ever happened, it was just a plot device used to get Ariel out of Bianca's bed. Don't look up recaps or videos of the original, we only have a few weeks left and you'll know the end.

LA PATRONA:

I love the new theme music! I thought I was the last one to notice it since I rarely watch the show on TV but on YouTube and the uploaders edit the tema out-but I was pleasantly surprised. It's a bit more optimistic than 'La Patrona soy yo' and love the quasi-jazz bit at the end.

Thanks for the recap, Novelera-you were quick and it's detailed but concise. I marvel how you manage to do that.

Balmy needs to quit believing he's Ishmael and Lucho is Moby Dick. As you've stated so well Novelera, why is he looking for a scammer when serial killers called Antonia Guerra and Aníbal Villegas are openly killing people? Loved how Balmy didn't allow himself to be seduced by Guerra by remembering how she was responsible for torturing Gaby Suarez. But then he basically threatens Ale with imprisonment of he and the tigres do anything illegal. Balmy indeed.
Ricardo looks a bit guilty about punishing Aníbal because he sees more of himself-the cheating husband flagrantly lying to Patti-in Aníbal than he expected. I don't blame him for feeling bad,
because what he's doing with Dr Ines will end badly, but Aníbal needs to go to jail.

La Patrona,

thanks so much novelera, another wonderful recap!

I thought it strange that they brought Gertrudis over to Balmy's office to interrogate her, though Balmy does seem to spend most of his police time there at that little desk, but later I was wondering where they were when Balmy was interviewing Alejandro, oh yea, the bank where he is the manager, and I guess Alejandro even goes to work,

so Antonia sent her little hooker back to work at the doll house, where Lucas is keeping her company, if only David could have seen that,

weren't Francisca and David talking about the ghosts of Max and Valentina visiting, and Cecilia goes what?, every day is a new experience for her around the Tigre's,

Anibal looks down for the count, I thought he was taking this pretty good, considering that one little phone call gave him a heart attack, maybe the tag team will visit him every day in the hospital, I wonder how soon before the news of Constanza will get back to Antonia,

It's nice to see Antonia stopped at every turn, but I'm wondering if when she is finally cornered, that a monster beyond everything we have seen will emerge, when she was toying with Balmy I was waiting for her to pull his gun and just make him gone.

EL SEÑOR DE LOS CIELOS:

Marco does not tell Benitez and the President his prime suspect. First of all, he doesn't have prove. And also, it wouldn't be ethical w/o his boss Danny present. Benitez says let's talk privately. Alone, Benitez says Danny doesn't have to be present, there are various irregularities in his reports, and this is just between you and me. And to be frank, I don't even trust the President! He then says I have more info for you, Marco, and hands him a folder. Turns out that Aurelio Casillas used to be an intelligence agent with the GOVERNMENT, another another name! (Also the initials AC). That's how he knew what was happening. And guess what else? Although Aurelio killed Marco's father, Don Cleto gave the orders. Whoa!

Marco exits the office, Danny asks what did you talk about, Marco says just some info about my father.

Eugenia is depressed. She finds it difficult to cheer up Linares. And she does a lot of thinking. At the end of the episode, she tells Marco, I'm sorry honey, but we need a break. A what? We need to separate. But why? Are you afraid of being shot? It's not that, I'm afraid of "us". We just aren't a normal couple. And I can't take that anymore. Marco is not happy.

Cabo and Tijeras meet with Oscar, and Cabo lays out the bomb. Mr. Cadena (note, he doesn't say boss), it's time we part ways. Tijeras and I are going out on our own. He's barely controlling his fear while saying this. Oscar is shocked and angry, but (for now) seems to accept this, doesn't kill Cabo or anything. Later, he meets with the Robles, ask Guadalupe, are you with me? Guad, drunk as a skunk, says absolutemente!

Matilde has a bit of a scene when she finds Chacorta together with Aida and Vic, Jr. She tells Chacorta he's to drop them both. Unsurprisingly, he doesn't agree.

Back to the kidnapping. Juan has bandaged up Ximena's leg. Sabino is in an ambulance, being whisked through the streets of D.F. He's stopped by all the crew, including Aurelio, Cabo and Tijeras (this was actually before they met with Oscar), Topo and Pollo. Guns are drawn, Sabino is grabbed, no one is hurt. Aurelio calls Juan V., I've got your brother. They agree to an exchange in Culiacan (up north near Sinaloa, where AC's ranch is, I think). AC must come alone, and Juan must come alone.

CIELOS, Part 2

So Juan flies back north. He then drives alone with Sabino to the meeting place. Juan V. has also come alone with Ximena. Previously, Aurelio had wondered who made the attempt on Sabino. He slightly suspected Cabo and Tijeras, or Topo, but discounted that. He also knew that Monica knew. Sabino tells him. It was the Robles, one of the guys who tried to kill me admitted it. Sabino says that Guadalupe is a dead man.

After a short tense standoff, the hostages are transferred. Ximena hugs Aurelio, Sabino goes to Juan. Aurelio then shoots Sabino in the leg. An eye for an eye, he says coldly. And as for Guadalupe Robles? I'LL take care of him, you guys stay out of it! Ximena just wants to see her children.

Back to Guadalupe and Oscar. Guad is overjoyed that Oscar wants to join with him. He had to tell Oscar, though, that the attempt to kill Sabino failed. Oscar is quite displeased. But don't worry, says Guadalupe, my sister Mónica can always smooth things over with Aurelio!

The look on Mónica's face could freeze someone's heart. Her idiot brother messes up, and SHE has to do the cleaning? We'll see!

CIELOS, Part 3

Also, Sonia takes her little black book to church. She goes to confess to the priest, says, I confess I'm married to a criminal who has been complicit in drug deals and assassinations! She wants the priest to speak to the bishop, maybe even the cardinal. She wants this little black book to be given to the cardinal! Is this gonna work?

CIELOS, one thing I forgot

Benitez asks Danny, what did you have to do with the fact that Sabino got broken out of jail. Danny decides that the best defense is a good offense, replies, how DARE you ask me! I'm OFFENDED! I work so hard, and you ask me this. He leaves, and Benitez crosses his name off a list (I guess thinking Danny is not involved). That Danny is quite clever.

CIELOS,

I meant, Aurelio flies back north.

Pasión Prohibida -

thanks so much Adriana Noel, for your wonderful recaps and especially the cute twists you put on everything,

haha Adriana! (Nina prefers to do nothing all day long; she's not even going to college - maybe she and Bruno aren't so mismatched, after all)

so did Flavia read all of Bianca's diary, there must have been something about Ariel raping her, or were those the days when she just scribbled and then ripped out the page,

an earlier show, when Bianca was flashing back to her father dying and terribly upset that that might happen to Ariel, didn't Bruno then say, exactly, so you CAN understand how I feel about hurting Ariel, that whole scene really made it clear to me Bruno's unwillingness to reveal anything,

it was interesting to watch Ariel's reaction to Nina and Bruno, her in her new style PJ's, and Bruno, big test tomorrow, Big Big test tomorrow, gotta run,

also amazing was Flavia's talk in the entryway with Nina, how did she manage to hide that big diary and it's scarf the whole time,

Yair didn't even clean out his room so he must be planning on coming back, but will it be soon enough to keep anyone from reading the note he left?

LA PATRONA:

Great recap, Novelera, lots of fun asides, too!

The new theme music may mean a new phase. And Vero's outfit seemed to scream she was half good, half bad, with one bare arm, the other draped in black! How far will she go?

That Antonia is almost bipolar, half the time yelling you're either with me or you're against me, the other half, softening her voice to be seductive with Balmy, fake tender with David. I don't care how much Balmy is attracted to her, he can't just ignore when she's says screw the law!

I almost want Anibal to testify against Antonia, in return for a reduced sentence. Sure, he has to pay, but most of his crimes were less than murder, although they were certainly horrific in respect to Constanza. But Antonia has always been the one behind all the murders, and she REALLY has to suffer.

So we now know that David is 18, so he's not a minor. But depending on the drinking age in San Pedro, he may be too young to legally be served alcohol. He's sort of lucky he never slept with "Eugenia", since he was too drunk to perform.

I wonder what's gonna happen when Lucia eventually finds out that Lucho's not a duende. I think she needs a pet (the whole show does).

PASIóN PROHIBIDA

Adriana Noel - thanks mucho for recapping a gaaawwwd awful capitulo. ugh! I am getting really nervous once again. I can't believe Bianca didn't give the f a good hard slap for invading her privacy. and the wimpy whiny weepy worst one.. not gonna go there.

AnotherAmy - I sooo feel you.

Cielos

Gracias Hombre, great as always

AC was with the govt, !qué, qué, what!? I have to watch again.

I wouldn't trust the priest, a lot of them are on the narco payroll as well.
25 billion, you can buy almost anyone & the narcos are very generous to the church.
I would have trusted Marco.

Good, that AC shot Sabino, better if it had been Juan. "diente por diente" interesting, we use eyes, they use teeth.

Does Juan have a nickname? I can't find the actors name.

Can't believe Gen Dan was crossed off the list just because he protested. That was a long list. Benitez doesn't even trust the president!

Pasion Prohibida

Shallowgal, you made me LOL with your description of Yair "the wimpy whiny weepy worst one" - very accurate, and yet, we could add plenty more adjectives and still come up short.

Deb, I didn't see Bianca mention the rape in her diary, when she ripped those pages she was upset with Bruno.
When Bianca told Bruno about her dad, to me it felt like he just took advantage of that story to fortify his reluctance to come clean. Sure, he doesn't want to hurt tio Ariel (it's all he says every time he talks to Bianca), but for me he always meant it in a more "broken heart-big disappointment" kind of way - not the physical harm situation. But he does have a point, though, Ariel could drop dead and then who would pay for all of them leisurely doing nothing all day long?
When Ariel walked in Bruno practically teleported, when it would have been so easy to just tell them both the truth - but, when the going gets tough, Bruno gets going...
Haha at your suggestion of Yair coming back before they get to read his letter. Can you imagine Camila finding it and then Yair saying it was a doctor's appointment or something, just to stop her from reading it...Oh, the poor schmuck...

El Señor de los Cielos -

great recap Hombre,
so many little things I missed here, but wow, good action scenes,

I'm continually impressed at watching Gen Dan create a good life for himself by manipulating the corrupt world he lives in, and Benitez, he really must be on the up and up, I liked the way he didn't even flinch when Danny lit into him,

well played scene between Cabo/ Tijeras and mr. Cadena, each struggling to stay within the bounds of the narco code, Cabo/ Tijeras hoping to make a clean break, Cadena not having the upper hand has to leave and regroup,

Guadalupe, what an idiot,
Roxana, I can start to see why Isidro divorced her,
Mónica, how long will she just be along for the ride,
El Triste, this guy is the el Turco of the Robles, but with a gun,

interesting that they took Sabino without harming anyone, just as Danny asked, but tense as they all stood open in the street with Aurelio on the phone,

I didn't think it was a good idea for Aurelio to make the exchange alone,
especially since Juan wants him dead,
it was very honorable that Juan stayed true to his word,
and very brazen that Aurelio shot Sabino, it's not hard to see who the top dog is here,

ah yes Sonia and her little black book,
hopefully this isn't the church that negotiated for the guerrillas.

PASIóN PROHIBIDA

Adriana Noel - I do HOPE Bruno is NOT just looking out for number one.

PASION PROHIBIDA

Yep Adriana Noel, "when the going gets tough, Bruno gets going." Looks like "wimpy" may be applicable to him too in the coming episodes.
BTW, I'm done halfheartedly sticking up for Yair. May he be gone for good now. !Ya Basta!
Adriana Noel, always several steps ahead of gullible me. Although my mind spun out several possibilities, of course Nico didn't even look at the CD.
J in Oregon, I liked your oven as metaphor, "smokin' hot!"
More possible foreshadowing of a heart attack for Ariel. Not before the rape comes out, right? We remember, even if no one else seems to.
AdrianaN, thanks for the recaps, always a highlight.
Clara

CIELOS

Thanks, Hombre, terrific recap!

Culiacán is the capital of the state of Sinaloa. Teresa Mendoza of La Reina del Sur was from there, and I remember how she would talk with El Pote and refer to the two of them as Culiches.

I'm not liking the way the Eugenia character is behaving. She's practically saying "Here, my dear!" to Leo by pushing Marco away like that.

The expression in Spanish is ojo por ojo y diente por diente, Variopinta. So they say the same thing in Spanish as we say in English.

There's another way to interpret Benitez crossing Danny off his list. It could just mean that he was the first of the ones he was going to probe about possible involvement with the narcos. And that he hadn't ruled him out yet.

I'm starting to lose faith in Oscar's intelligence. My guess is still that he wants to keep Aurelio from a monopoly, but he's had ample opportunity to see what a useless idiot Guadalupe is. And he still continues to back him?

I noticed that when Mathilde showed up at Aida's house the guards Chacorta had requested were stationed outside! I still have a bad feeling about what Mathilde might do to either Aida or Victor, Jr. The kid is adorable. He calls him Don Victor, instead of papí.

Great recap, Hombre! Many thanks yet again. As always, you understood a lot more than I did. And even when I did understand, I sometimes didn't trust what I thought I was hearing (e.g., the business about AC working for the government in the past under a different name, and Don Cleto being responsible for Marco's father's death). I guess I'm glad to know that I heard correctly, even though that reduces the number of good bad guys.

Variopinta and deb, I too worried about the trustworthiness of the priest to whom Sonia gave her little black book. I kept waiting for the tell-tale expression on his face that would indicate that he was allied with the cartels. But there wasn't one, and apparently he's one of the few remaining good guys. (In fact, when I saw the scene between Benitez and Danny, Benitez had a similar little black book, and I wondered whether it was Sonia's. But apparently it's not, since I don't think Benitez would make notes in it.)

One of the scenes that most perplexed me was the one between Don Oscar and Cabo/Tijeras. I was sure I was not understanding what was being said, since I was sure Don Oscar wouldn't tolerate rebellion in the ranks. But apparently he does, at least for now. Or perhaps he's losing his grip, since he's also willing to seek an alliance with the pickled Guadalupe.

Another surprise for me: Topo didn't betray Aurelio. I was sure he would, simply because his face seemed to have betrayal written all over it. Perhaps looks are deceiving?

The two characters I'm waiting to hear more from are Matilde and Mónica. In a sense, of course, I've already heard (and seen) more than enough of Matilde, but she's such an interesting loose cannon.... And loose cannon Mónica hasn't been heard from much in the last few episodes. That seems likely to change.

CIELOS

Juanita, I agree that there will soon be some more action concerning Mónica. During the scene where Ximena is let go and Sabino released to his brother, Sabino said that Guadalupe was the one who ordered him killed, thus jeopardizing Ximena's life. Somewhere in last night's episode, and I can't remember exactly when, someone also hinted at Mónica's involvement. Aurelio said, rather cryptically, that he would take care of Mónica. So I'm thinking he's going to get revenge on her in some way.

La Patrona -

I'll do the recap for tonight's show,
if no one else wants to.

SENOR

Thanks, Hombre, for a great recap. This story becomes more complex every night, so I really appreciate your clarifying the dialogue.

I had to LOL at Mati showing up at Aida's casa. Chacorta now has a tiger by the tail, and he's going to need those guards to protect his second family.

I don't know that I'd trust that priest or even the bishop. Could be wrong, but Sonia should know that many church officials and parishes receive regular donations from drug dealers.

Eugenia's "we need time apart" sounded off-key and confused. Didn't she say she wants them to be like other couples, sort of implying that it's Marcos' job that is so different and demanding? She certainly opened the door very wide for Leo.

Ximena didn't get into angry accusations last night. She just wanted to go home and hug her kids. But tonight….

Danny does self-righteous very well. Very believable.

Cabo's declaration to Oscar surprised me. I thought he'd wait awhile before handing in his resignation. That star on his sweat suit may turn into a bulls eye.

LA PATRONA:

Deb, the thing I love about this novela is that the main people have a job. Alejandro, as great looking as he is, wasn't just around looking gorgeous and seducing women. He actually was running the SPdO mine well, which is why Vero wanted him to run the small and medium business loan bank even though Ale thought it looked bad, as if he was taking advantage of he and Vero's romantic relationship to enrich himself. Even Guerra, is always seen at a desk with paperwork showing that she wasn't just some estirada (vain millionaire). As much as novelas are escape mechanisms, I like the characters to be doing something. I loved it when Ricardo gave Pati money to start her event planning business because she was finally doing something and not just being a pretty housewife--not that there's anything wrong with exclusively rearing your kids--but they have housestaff and I'm pretty sure rearing Ricardo from babyhood until school-age wasn't that tough. I think that people like Irene get into mischief because they have no business to mind.

Hombre de Misterio: I totally agree with you wrt to Anibal. He's a rapist (the Colina twins), corrupt in politics, and a torturer of his wife, but he never had anyone ordered killed. He just always took Guerra's side when she gave the orders, and he should get a reduced sentence for his testimony. I get the sense that he's truly scared and/or shocked by Guerra's barbarity and that sense of conscience is enough for me to be satisfied with him getting ten or so years in prison for Guerra to get life in prison without parole. I don't think she should die in the end. That would get her off scot-free. She needs to stay in prison and think daily why she's there and have the loss of everyone she loves.

LA PATRONA - Thursday, (epi 102)

Antonia strolls into Francisca's house during the Suárez family gathering, and upon seeing Veronica, assumes that David leaving is all her fault, they have words,

after all is said, Antonia looks at David and says, "let's go",
nobody moves,
David says "no, I'm staying"
an upset Antonia, being outnumbered, leaves,

David stands all alone,
Cecilia comes to him, Veronica says you have my support,
he hugs them both,

Antonia goes to see the corrupt judge,
she wants David back and Francisca in jail,
(something has changed here, but he no longer has the power to do that)

Irene calls Alejandro to the hospital, they both go in to see Lucia's doctor,
the cancer has returned, and spread,
not good,
(is the only solution cells from a sibling?)

Antonia goes to see judge Ricardo with the same request,
they exchange insults,
Ricardo kicks her out,
she adds him to her enemy list,
on her way out she passes Ines on her way in, ut oh,
Ric somehow deflects Ines, but she takes a kiss, which he seems powerless to stop,

Ric stops by the hospital to check on his dad,
the doctor thinks he will be alright, want to see him,
"no"

Veronica stops by the hospital to see Anibal,
(I think she is his first and only visitor),
she sits close and leans in to him,
he does his Senator of the Republica routine,
she tells him it's over,
(did she say, "the tree has fallen"),
as she flashes back to adding his name to the list on that rock in the manicomio,
(I thought she was going to do the Gabriela reveal but she didn't)
Anibal looks perplexed, shocked, and goes into a relapse,

Antonia's, next stop, Anibal's,
Constanza hides, Patti greets her,
"Anibal doesn't live here anymore, try the hospital",
(Antonia is not having a good day)

Antonia visits the hospital,
runs into Ines, invites her to stop by later,
when she goes on to see Anibal she runs into Balmy, and the guards he has posted, no visitors,
when Antonia pushes for an explanation Balmy tells her she can read all about it in the morning,

LA PATRONA - (part 2)

Veronica visits Lucia and Irene, Alejandro isn't here, I came to see how Lucia is doing,
they bond a little as mothers,

Later Alejandro is watching over Lucia, Lucho appears in disguise,
"don't you ever tire of being ridicules", Alejandro asks,
but lets him see his princess,

Antonia meets with Ines, (if I got this right, I don't think she knows about the sex part but she knows that Ines is treating Ricardo and she wants him and Patti to be split up, which is ok with Ines)

at the Club,
in walks Ricardo, smooth and proud, with Patti on one arm and Constanza on the other,
he walks over to Veronica,
I would like you to meet my mother, Constanza Goldstein,
they hit it off and look like they will become good friends,
Balmy who is in the background nursing a drink, his neck turns to rubber as he tries to catch it all,

ninja burgular Lucho crawls through the window into Antonia's place, only to find Irene and Poncia waiting for him, so cute, they start teasing and kissing while Poncia is going nuts and tries to get him working on the safe, he then shoo's them away to stand watch,

into the house walks Lucas, stops to check out a sexy portrait of Antonia, then moves on to tasting the good liquor, when it looks like he will discover Lucho, Irene pops out and kicks him out of the house, why are you here, to steal, to see me without clothes on, he leaves,
Lucho comes out of the room to thank her and they start kissing all over again,

Gonzales, who is guarding Anibal, spots Alejandro busy with something in the hospital waiting room and stops by to chat, meanwhile Anibal wakes up and starts putting things together and figures he better get out of there, rips off all of hoses and takes off,
but is spotted by Alejandro, and is carried (wow this guy must be strong) back to his room by Gonzales,

back at the Club,
while Veronica and Constanza chat,
in walks Antonia,
Constanza looks like she might bolt,
I'm thinking Balmy will cut off Antonia, but he is a statue with that rubber neck,
Constanza spins around and faces Antonia straight on, and introduces herself,
wow, Antonia, confused, shaken, hides it all so well to the casual onlooker,
Veronica moves up to support Constanza,
Gastón, Ricardo, and Patti in the background,
but Constanza steps out on her own, face to face,
Antonia so cooly sloughs off all of Constanza's accusations,
Balmy, with his big eyes, is not missing a thing...

LA PATRONA
Thanks for the prompt recap Deb-it's really appreciated. And you are completely right about Balmy-he was just observing and putting together the pieces last night. I'm pretty sure he has the basic facts about what's really going on between Guerra and Vero from his convos with Gaston and Alejandro. I think he's pretty sure Vero is Gaby since Constanza outted herself and that Lucho used his skills to help them escape. He basically hinted as much with that convo with Ale in the bank. What I jus realized from Balmy's basically side-eyeing the tigres is that all the kids of the malvados-Irene, Pati, Ricardo, Alejandro-have basicalky teamed up with Vero to take the lobos down.

Oh, before I forget, Guerra is disgusting. The way she dressed down Ricardo calling him cornudo and pelele was just so awful-but I saw a Ines/Guerra alianza a mile away.

EL SEÑOR DE LOS CIELOS - Jueves

After getting Guadalupe's agreement that they're a team, Oscar says he has to go back to Colombia to get his guys together. Meanwhile, Cabo and Tijeras have the same idea. They get back to Colombia first. When Oscar shows up, saying to all the henchmen, did you miss me? He's met with icy stares, and Cabo shoots him in the leg! As Oscar writhes on the ground, Cabo tells the henchmen, Meet the New Boss. Me.

Danny tells Doris he wants to complain to the President about how Benitez accused him of having something to do with Sabino's escape. Doris points out the President probably is aware of all this, it wouldn't help. Danny tells Doris he's managing things as well as he can, but he's NOT on Aurelio's side!

Mati is ranting and raving at Aida, whom she calls La Maestra (I guess she IS a teacher at the school), along with lots of less flattering names, such as perra. Chacorta takes her aside. Look honey, he says, you're my only love, I married you. There's nothing between me and Aida, but I love my son, and we can't change that fact. Mati says if you're staying here (he's at Aida's house for security reasons, as Marco saw him kill a cop), I'm staying here, too. Chacorta says no.

Meanwhile, Aurelio is confronted with a very upset Ximena, who finally tells what REALLY upset her. Matilde had sex with Heriberto! Aurelio, with all the other things on his mind, is less than bowled over. But when Xime reminds him what if Chacorta finds out, he decides to have a talk with Bert.

But Bert isn't there. He's with Don Cleto, who's had his men follow Juan V. and Sabino. When the Villalobos stop for gas, Don Cleto's men storm them at gunpoint, and take them prisoner. Bert himself pulls his gun and helps grab these scum who kidnapped his Mom. They're taken to some underground place, tied up, beaten bloody, and then EXECUTED by Don Cleto, as Bert watches. THAT's how to handle things, says Don Cleto. (!)

CIELOS Part 2

Aurelio had earlier told Turco he was going to kill Juan V., Sabino and all their family members, along with Guadalupe Robles and all HIS family members! Then they'll know I'm boss. Turco isn't exactly in agreement here. I think Don Cleto feels it's better if Aurelio doesn't have direct involvement in the revenge, but Aurelio may not be pleased. We'll see.

Eugenia tells Marco, we're not just breaking up, I want your stuff out of here, now. Hmmm, cold. Later, Marco meets with Leo, and she sees he's upset. She says if she's going undercover, she needs to trust him totally, can't he tell what's really bugging him? He won't. But they get ready for Leo to go undercover. Marco tells Leo, Ponte and Orejas that Danny is not to know ONE WORD about this. In fact, they'll all say that Leo just left to go back to Colombia, quitting the operation for some personal motivation they guess, and they don't know anything about her whereabouts. All agree.

Sonia gives the little black book to the priest, who assures her it's safe, and he'll give it to the Cardenal when he comes to town. She says if anything happens to me, the Cardenal should do what's right. But, asks the priest, don't you know anyone trustworthy in the government? She pauses. Later, she calls Marco, she needs to talk to him. But not now, it's not safe, she'll get back to him. Sonia exits the church, sees a guy just standing around, goes up to him, saying, tell my husband I just went to church. And now I'm going to get a manicure and pedicure! The guy calls Ramiro, who's furious his guy was spotted, but says keep following her. Ramiro then breaks it to Castro and Huerta, we're in deep doo doo, and I'm afraid it's my wife who's turning us in. They ask, how far are you willing to go to stop her? All the way. (!)

LA PATRONA:

Great recap, Deb! Thank you.

I think the corrupt judge was switched out of this jurisdiction, possibly by Ricardo, maybe Ricardo threatened him, since he may have received money from Anibal and Anibal is in trouble, and the corrupt judge agreed not to rule in this town any more?

As for Anibal, he's definitely kicked out of the Senate, although I didn't quite get the word (maybe it was just fuera, or out).

That alliance between Antonia and Inés could be a problem. Antonia said she wants to get Ricardo in trouble so that he'll lose his judgeship, although he may still be allowed to be a lawyer. But I don't think just having sex with the therapist is enough for that, so they may set him up in some scheme.

Someone once theorized that maybe Poncia is really Alejandro's mother, not Antonia. Well, if that were true, Poncia could be the donor for Lucia! Unlikely, but it'd solve a lot of problems.

Cielos

Tks mucho Hombre

It's not so bad when bad guys kill bad guys, it's when innocent people get in their way or people that can't be bought that it is so tragic.

It's all about power, control & dinero with the narcos. There is no loyalty if the associate is no longer useful or is in their way, as we see with Cabo y Oscar.

Wow, sure surprised Don Cleto y Berto got the revenge.

I think in the convo with Turco, AC said it was war.

This novela is very well done.

I hope the priest is trustworthy. Sonia was very clever, she thought she would get her shadow off her tail, but no, hopefully she knows he is still there. She needs witness protection badly.

Cielos -

thanks so much Hombre,

so when Ximena broke down and told Aurelio about Heriberto and Matilde, when he just stood there, did she ask him if he was proud of his son's conquest, and had to point out the complications with Chacorta,

and then her plea with Turco, who looked like he was having trouble not hugging her, would he talk Aurelio into getting her far, far away from here, but Turco could only relay that Aurelio has decided this is the safest place for her,

and her father is not there to greet her, didn't she get an idea why,

wasn't Don Cleto the one who introduced Aurelio to this life, and now Beto?

I really wasn't looking for Cabo to shoot mr. Cadena, he could have done that anytime, so why quit first, and Tijeras, he seems to have some kind of block when it comes to figuring out over all strategies and does best on the follow through,

Sara Corrales is doing a terrific job with the Matilde part, wow,
such a different love story, Chacorta/Matilde.

LA PATRONA

Deb - thanks so much for a very entertaining recap! I love your writing style - you have such a way with words.

What a great episode - so much happened. Not only are the lobos going down, but now they're getting scared.

I too enjoyed watching Balmy Rod, sitting at the bar watching the drama between Coni and Antonia unfold. I agree, he's pretty sure Vero is Gaby. Too bad the tigres can't trust him yet.

J desde NYC - " -all the kids of the malvados-Irene, Pati, Ricardo, Alejandro-have basically teamed up with Vero to take the lobos down". So true, and Antonia and Anibal so deserve it after the terrible things they did to their families.

Inez as Antonia's new ally. This can't be anything but bad for Ric and Paty.

EL SENOR

Hombre - excellent recap! Thank you.

This is possibly the best/my favorite TN so far. With all the plot twists, it keeps you coming back every night.

Cleto gave us a good look at what he must have been like as a younger drug lord. Absolutely ruthless. And Beto was taking it all in, learning from the master.

As much as Ximena won't want to hear it, AC was right when he said she's safer in Mexico with him to protect her.

Wow! I didn't see the Colombian reorganization happening so fast. I don't think Oscar's going to get the golden parachute. Cabo and Tijeras have a good work arrangement right now. Cabo does the thinking, and Tijeras is there to execute the plan.

Beth

Thanks so much, Hombre, for yet another terrific recap! It cleared up a lot I didn't understand (including some things I didn't realize I didn't understand :-) ).

I was surprised that Ramiro told the other two that Sonia was ratting them out. At that point, Ramiro knew nothing about her phone call nor about her little black book, just that she was fed up with him, his golfas, and his dirty dealings. So I wondered why he jumped the gun and told Castro and Huerta. I guess he wants some help in getting rid of her and was hoping that he'd be asked the question Huerta asked him--how far are you willing to go? I fear we're not going to see Sonia for much longer.

Another thing that puzzled me a bit is the conversation between Doris and Danny that takes place in their house after his heated exchange with Benitez. As Doris and Danny are talking (talking, not whispering), I could see at least one person in the background, probably in the next room. He definitely did not have the appearance of a bodyguard or a servant. Why are D & D talking so openly with someone else possibly within earshot? (Or was the mystery man just someone from the production crew imitating Alfred Hitchcock?)

While I'm asking questions, I've got two about the scenes between Marco and Leo. One (this may have been in the avances, I'm not sure) is who is the "Alejandro Negrete" that Leo refers to? The other question is why does she always address Marco as usted while he uses tu when talking to her? Is it just because he's her boss?

Wow, Ximena's getting disappointments on several sides at once. She's upset that her father hasn't even come to see her now that she's back, and she's even more upset that Aurelio isn't upset at the news that Heriberto has been sleeping with Matilde. Indeed, as Ximena notes, Aurelio almost seems proud of his son (like father, like son, after all). And on top of all this, Ximena learns that the reason her father hasn't yet come to see her is that he's been busy killing the Villalobos brothers. It's not clear to me whether in the past Don Cleto managed successfully to hide the sordid aspects of his livelihood from his daughter or whether she willfully put her head in the sand. Perhaps both.

I found the scene between Chacorta and Aida quite interesting. I was glad that she finally told him that she'd had it, that she wasn't going to be there for him any longer. It was also clear that he had real feelings for his son and was very moved when Victor Jr. came out to wave goodbye. And though Chacorta has chosen Matilde over Aida, I wonder how he'll feel when the inevitable happens and he learns that Mati has been boinking his nephew.

Cielos

Help?????

I was finally able to re watch the previous episode about Aurelio working for govt intelligence. I have more questions.
They said the name Alberto Carasco, I think that might be the name Aurelio operated under. I think Aurelio was with Marco's padre when Don Cleto killed him. So was Aurelio corrupt at that time or how did he get in Cleto's employment?

CIELOS

Since we're getting clarification here, I need a little help. Ramiro is the president's cousin, correct? He's clearly bad, as are Castro and Huerta. What about Benitez? Is he a good guy or was he just pretending to be good with the whole "Aurelio was a gov't agent" thing? Because that just sounds nutty.

Sorry. I got a little lost.

But I too am surprised at how quickly Cabo took over. I suppose he had to, but would those henchmen really switch sides that quickly? How much money does Cabo have versus Oscar? Seems like Oscar would be the better bet here, or would be except that Cabo is the one holding the gun. Oscar should have made some preemptive calls from the plane.

Kelly

La Patrona -

thanks all for your help, as you can see I don't really get the complicated conversations, especially if they are subtle, and I really appreciate you guys filling me in,

It's interesting to watch Gabriela and Constanza confront Antonia, who is stonecold evil, but I suppose that after their manicomio experience the only thing that could scare them would be their own demons, and Constanza, who has been constantly toning down Gabriela on her revenge seems to be holding nothing back when it comes to Anibal,

Someone pointed out earlier what a despicable character Poncia is, the silent accomplice of Antonia by way of doing nothing, (yet another novela example of the many ways of how a person can live a life not of their own making, and pay the price for it everyday), interesting that J desde NYC has pointed out that Poncia has always been there with the truth, but only spills when that person can take it, so why do we even like her, is it the way she never stops digging at Antonia, and never stops trying to make things better, there was no question about who's side she was on when Gabriela made her reveal, and if ever Lucho would stop nipping at a giggling Irene and open the darn safe, maybe she would be free from her own manicomio for ever.

Hi, Variopinta and Kelly. I'm probably not the best person to answer your questions, since I miss so much, but I thought I'd give it a try.

Variopinta, I think Benitez told Marco that Aurelio was working for the government as a way to gain points with his father-in-law, Don Cleto. He could pass along all kinds of sensitive info to Don C. So no, Aurelio was up to no good when he was working as an agent. And, according to Benitez, Aurelio killed Marco's father, but at the instigation of Don Cleto.

Kelly, I don't think anyone can be sure yet about Benitez, but all signs so far point to his being one of the few good guys, and that he is dedicated to cleaning up the country and getting rid of the narcotraficantes (or, at least, lessening their impact).

Thems my thoughts and I'm sticking by them--for at least the next five minutes. :-)

CIELOS

Oops, my apologies. I keep forgetting to put CIELOS at the top of my messages. I'll make an effort to reform, but please know that any message from me on the Telemundo page is likely to be about Cielos, since it's the only TN I'm currently watching.

Tks Juanita

I guess the govt didn't do a background ck on Aurelio. But they are so corrupt, would it have mattered?

I think Benitez is a good guy also. He doesn't even trust the prez.

CIELOS

Thanks so much for the recap, Hombre. Another exciting episode. I totally wanted Aurelio to come down hard on Mathilde, but we didn't get that last night. But we did get confirmation that Mathilde really wanted Aurelio and settled for Chacorta. We knew they'd had sex at least once because of a flashback of Mathilde, I think. And then she was fantasizing it was Aurelio when she was boinking Beto.

OK, here's my take on Cleto/Aurelio and the "undercover agent" stuff. First of all, Aurelio was initiated into "the business", marijuana at that time, I think, as a very young boy. Don Cleto had him get hired as an anti-drug agent, and that's how he learned about Marco's father being undercover with the cartels, by working from the inside. Cleto then ordered the torturing and killing of Marco's father that was carried out by Aurelio.

Juanita, I see that you already answered, but since I typed all this, I decided to post anyway!

PASION PROHIBIDA pt1

Yair is in Ninas room. He whispers in her ear “I love you.” She is still asleep and Yair leaves the room and gets out of the house.

The next morning, it seems all the servants overslept. They are trying to make breakfast for the clan as fast as they can. When Salo asks for Yair (hes supposed to drive Santi to school), Cele thinks hes still asleep. Cami heads for Yairs room. Salo tells the other servants not to defend him. He has had enough. Cami calls for Yair. She enters his room when she gets no answer and finds the letter. Cami is heartbroken and runs to the kitchen. She shows Salo the note who reads it aloud.

“Dear Family, I’ve decided to say goodbye this way. I didn’t have the courage to look you in the eye while saying goodbye. By the time you read this I’ll already be starting my new life sailing the high seas, where I’ll be able to forget everything. Please don’t be upset with me. Don’t think I don’t love you, and that leaving you doesn’t break my heart. It hurts very much that’s why I had to leave this way. I thank you for all the love you’ve given me, and for all you’ve done for me all these years. You’re my family. Going away will not change the love I feel for you. Wish me luck. You’ll always be in
my heart. Yair”

All the servants are heartbroken.

The ship is leaving Miami.

The sailor tells Yair that no matter where he is memories will always find find. He will never forget, but he must try.

Cele tries her best to console Cami, but it doesn’t work. She tells Cele she loves Yair.

In the dining room, Nina tells Flav that Bruno was about to confess his love for her (Nina) but her dad interrupted them. Ariel shows up for breakfast. Flav tells him the servants mustve overslept since they haven’t served anything. He decides to wake up Bianca, but Flav stops him and says she will do it.

In the kitchen Salo tells Tere that he will have to tell Ariel that Yair left without telling anyone. Tere offers to do it, but Salo says he is in charge of the servants and must face Ariel. Salo is mad that Yair didn’t tell anyone anything. He heads to tell Ariel. Tere sees that Salo forgot about whatever was in the pan.

Ariel wonders why he hasn’t received his breakfast yet. Santi jokes that the servants have gone on a strike. Salo tells Ariel that Yair left the clan without telling anyone. Bianca shows up and says that’s a good thing since he had been threatening to do it.

Flav is in Brunos room. He tells her that he doesn’t have any feeling for Nina. Flav blackmails Bruno telling him that if he doesn’t get with Nina he will have to confess his true love. Bruno says there is no true love. Flav pulls out the “I love you” letter he wrote on Biancas diary.

PASION PROHIBIDA pt2

Bruno is now in his room alone. It is obvious he feels cornered. Santi enters his room. Bruno reminds him to knock before he enters. Santi apologizes and Bruno says its not a big deal. Santi tells him that Yair left the house.

Ariel reads Yairs letter aloud. Kat says Yair had been talking about leaving the house for some time. Flav shows up. Bianca asks where she went and Flav respond she was talking to Bruno. Ariel tell Flav that Yair left. She doesn’t think it’s a big deal Nina does. Bianca agrees with her mother (Most likely she feels Yair cant threaten her anymore). Ariel asks if Yair said anything about leaving. Salo says Yair was acting odd. Ariel wants Salo to explain but then he (Salo) says its not a big deal. Salo leaves with Kat.

Salo enters Camis room. (Cele is with her) She is crying over Yair. She thinks Yair couldn’t stand seeing Nina and Bruno together. He tells her that she shouldn’t waste her tears on a coward who didn’t say goodbye to them. They were a family to him. He bit the hand of the owner who fed him.

In the ship Ramiro tells Yair that hee must forget about love poems love songs everything. Yair says he will do what he can. Ramiro says that’s not enough. Yair now belongs to the sea.

Salo finds Ariel in the kitchen. Ariel asks him if Yair had a problem with Bianca or Flav. Salo says not that he knows of. Ariel wants to know why Yair left without telling anyone. Salo has his own theory. Yair was in love with Nina and he couldn’t support seeing Bruno and Nina together so he escaped.

Bianca knocks on Brunos room and enters. Bianca asks Bruno if he knew Yair left. He tells her Santi told him. Bianca asks him if that’s why he isn’t going downstairs. He tells her that Flav told him to tell Ariel that he loves Nina. Bianca says she will deal with Flav. Bruno says she cant. Flav found Brunos message for Bianca on her diary. It reads: I love you.

Flav asks Ariel if he is upset over Yair leaving. Ariel says Yair worked for him for many years. Flav tells him there are more important things to worry about. Deniz shows up. Nina tells Ariel that Deniz knew about Yair leaving. Deniz says that Yair had his reasons for leaving. Flav says she cant believe Deniz would keep a secret for a servant instead of telling her bosses. Deniz says that at least she doesn’t spread false rumors. Ariel says there are no secrets in his house. And nobody is allowed to spread rumors. Flav says she agrees. She wants to call Bruno so he can confirm his feelings to Nina.

At the Ship Yair flashes back to when he first kissed Nina. When he was with her at the garden. When they kissed in his room. When Nina tells Deniz that she and Bruno love each other. When Yair kisses her before leaving home. Ramiro tells Yair to stop crying and get to work.

PASION PROHIBIDA pt3

Bruno shows up in the living room. Then Bianca shows up asking Flav what she is doing there. Flav says she is waiting for Nina. Bianca says she and Nina are going for a walk. Does Flav want to join them? She doesn’t. Flav leaves. Bianca and Nina head for the garden and Bruno is alone in the living room until Ariel shows up. He says he asked Bruno recently if he had something to tell him. (Flav is spying on them) He thinks Bruno lied when he told him no. Now he wants the truth. Is he in love with Nina? Bruno says its not easy to answer. Ariel says it isn’t easy for him either but he needs the truth. Bruno starts to say something but Ariel says he doesn’t want excuses. Just a yes or no. After a while Bruno says yes. He is in love with Nina.

Nina asks Bianca about Brunos feeling toward her. Bianca says she knows nothing. Nina says that she knows Bruno told Bianca that he loved Nina. Nina says Bruno says things to get out of trouble. Flav shows up and tells Nina that Bruno confessed his love to Ariel. Nina is starstruck. Flav tells her that she will soon get married in a few months. Poor Bianca.

Bruno tells Ariel that he loves Nina but he doesn’t want to marry her. He wants to get over his feelings. Ariel says that Nina loves him as well. Bruno says Nina is young. She only feels lust. Ariel tells Bruno he doesn’t want him to hurt his daughter. Bruno swears in the name of his fallen parents that he doesn’t want to hurt Nina.

Cami enters Yair room. She sees he took the music box with him. Kat enters and asks if Cami is heartbroken. Cami doesn’t want to talk. Kat says she figures Yair fells the same way since he couldn’t support seeing Nina with Bruno. Two beautiful girls were after him and he set his eyes on another girl who did nothing but reject him. Cami leaves.

At the ship, Yair is coughing again. Ramiro asks if hes okay. Yair says this is nothing. Ramiro says the weather gets from hot to cold. Yair will get used to it.

Bruno tells Ariel that once he graduates he would like to be a teacher. Ariel asks “And my daughter?” Bruno thinks school will help him get over her. Bianca shows up and Ariel tells her that Bruno confessed to Ariel. Bianca says that Bruno told her he wouldn’t pursue Nina. Bruno says he was explaining that to Ariel. Ariel says Bruno shouldn’t fight his feelings. Bianca wants to plan a wedding. Bruno doesn’t want to. Ariel tell him if he doesn’t get with Nina he should stay away from her forever.

Ariel says he wont let Bruno treat Nina the way he treats other women. Bruno says that’s why he doesn’t want to get with Nina he doesn’t want to hurt her. Nina and Flav show up. Bianca tells the two they were talking about Yair. Nina says since Yair didn’t care to say goodbye, she wont suffer for him. Flav supports her telling her she has a bright future ahead.

Salo tells Deniz about Yair leaving. Cami thinks Yair left because of the Brina relationship. Deniz tells them that Yair was suffering in silence and that the servants shouldnt judge him. Salo says the servants had a right to know. Maybe Yair will get his s*** together and possibly come back home.

In the bedroom Ariel thinks that Bruno needs to get with Nina. Bianca thinks that Ninas love will go away in a week. Ariel says if the 2 love each other they should get together. He plans to pressure Bruno.

PASION PROHIBIDA pt4

Nina complains to Flav. Flav says that Nina cant show desperation or she will scare Bruno. Bruno enters Flavs room wanting to talk to her. Nina leaves. Bruno warns her not to mess with him or else…..

Bruno enters Biancas bedroom. She is pissed that Bruno lied to Ariel. He tells her Flav threatened him. He wants to kick Flav out. Nina knocks on Biancas door wanting to talk to her....

CIELOS:

Here are some more possible answers to questions. How did Cabo take over? Well, remember, he was a henchman, and all the henchmen were henchmen. In other words, they were all sort of friends, whereas the big boss Oscar was distant and intimidating. I have a feeling he knows the routes, and has lots of his own contacts.

Why does Leo use usted and Marco uses tú? Because she's Colombian and he's Mexican. In many novelas with Colombian actors, they all use usted, even between mother and daughter, or even lovers. I always laughed in Sin Senos no Hay Paraiso when the main girl said to her boyfriend "Lo amo." :)

LA PATRONA

Thanks so much, deb, great job on the recap!

What happened with the judge was that, when Antonia came to see him, he said that he had retired and couldn't help her. I got the impression he was forced to retire. When she went to Ricardo, he was VERY blunt with her. He basically said: Well, could his being gone have anything to do with getting himself assigned to a legal case [the fight over El Chamuco] so that he could rule in favor of a guy who's in the same political party? And Ricardo basically said the judge was lucky they let him retire instead of charging him with misconduct. And, of course, he went on to refuse to help her himself.

I can't exactly figure out what Antonia's plan is with Inés. Patti already knows, although Randy Ricky is currently lying to her. Does she think an open accusation of infidelity to his wife ruins a judge's career? Don't know. I know Inés was very clear she didn't want Ricky to know she'd been involved in this scheme, whatever it is.

LA PATRONA:

I think Poncia is a very noble, good character. There have been many reasons for her to keep quiet. She recently found out that she didn't actually kill her husband, but she did stab him. Her real function is sort of as Antonia's conscience, to keep pointing out what Antonia is doing wrong. In other novelas, there have often been amas da llaves, or sort of "head maids" who actively helped the evil patronas, lying, hiding poison, etc. Poncia has never done this. She is a noble character, and has had to live with that tyrant for many years. I don't find her silence bad at all. And I love the faces and smiles she makes at Antonia.

CIELOS:

Novelera- You explanation of the AC/Cleto/government connection is how I understood it too.

I haven’t watched last night’s episode yet, and at first I was shocked to read Cleto killed the Villalobos. But that I thought about it and it makes total sense. There was the worry the other episode that by negotiating with the Villalobos, AC was showing weakness. Nothing would stop another gang from trying the same thing. Well, now AC’s enemies know that yes, he and his father-in-law will do anything to save one of their family members. But they will also wipe you off the map if you try anything against their family. I think any of the gangs will think twice before considering kidnapping AC’s wife or kids again.

Pasion Prohibida

Thank you, NovelaMan for recapping this excruciating episode. And by the previews for tomorrow, we're in for a treat again (NOT!)

When Bruno told Ariel he loved Nina I was not quite so shocked because I was sure it will come to that. I did find the whole scene completely disgusting, until I heard him say that he doesn't want to pursue a relationship, because, what do you know, he's sure he'd hurt her and he wants to keep on studying!! Bruno choosing study over a chick, now that's a first.
But the worst part was Ariel's reaction: totally unrealistic and plot driven - he's seen the kind of playboy Bruno is, he should have to be happy that he doesn't want to be with Nina - what is this nonsense about 'if you love each other..."? As far as Ariel knows a few months ago Bruno was in love and ready to marry Eliana, but he changed his mind about that rather quick. Why wouldn't he do that with Nina, too, just because Ariel won't let him? What father wants his naive, innocent daughter to hook up with a womanizer like Bruno? Nephew or not, why is Bruno all of a sudden such a good catch for his precious daughter?

Bianca's faces all through the episode were spot on, I was so concentrated on watching her, I barely had time to follow the rest of the story.

Bruno threatening Flavia is the biggest joke I've ever heard. Everything is turning out to be exactly how she planned it and I'm afraid the china patterns Nina is obviously starting to mentally choose will soon become a reality.
With Bruno totally emasculated, this only leaves Bianca, the wild card that Flavia hasn't yet managed to control.

With this big faux reveal happening the fact that Yair left is almost a non-factor. I think that all the bawling was a little bit exaggerated, but I can go with it. I was hoping that him being on the boat would mean him being off screen, but I guess we're not that lucky, we get to see him pout while at sea, too. I guess there is no need to talk about this anymore, Don Salo put it the best way: Yair is a "poco hombre" and don't you just love the Spanish language for this perfectly simple, yet very accurate, description?

Pasión Prohibida -

thanks so much NovelaMan,

it was nice of you to copy Yairs letter for us,
I don't know why Yair had to go to sea,
he could just as well got a job driving a taxi in Miami,
cough, cough,
but it looks like there is no rush to clean out his room,
will he make it back in time for the wedding,

Yair doesn't cook breakfast anyway so not much of an excuse by the staff on that part,

interesting with Salo that "Ariel asks him if Yair had a problem with Bianca or Flav",
since neither of them seemed concerned that Yair left,
as the Piamonte's are all shell shocked,

when Salo gives his theory,
"Yair was in love with Nina?" Ariel is impacted,
when it gets around to Bianca, I'm guessing Santi will have to sit Ariel down to explain that one,

Flavia accusing Deniz of keeping secrets and Deniz accusing Flavia of spreading rumors really had Ariel rolling his head,

did Bianca tell Nina, on their garden walk, "Bruno says things to get out of trouble",

wow, Flavia has so cornered Bruno and he didn't even see it coming, interesting his strategy with Ariel, yes I love her, but it is a forbidden love and I was going to keep it to myself and not act on it, but Flavia overhears and spreads the wildfire to Nina, and Bianca, so disappointed that Bruno said yes, once again he submits to the easy way, and didn't she then jump on him to marry Nina, in front of Ariel, further pulling the rug out from under him...

excellent point Adriana,
"Bianca, the wild card that Flavia hasn't yet managed to control"

I'm picturing the gran final, they load everyone on a bus and drive it off a cliff,
well, it's Florida so it won't be so bad,
and they will all just have some more to yap about,

Cielos
novelera, that makes a lot of sense, tks

Clearly Cabo is the brains. Tijeras wanted to get with AC but Cabo said AC didn't need them (yet), so they needed to get to Colombia 1st to cement the takeover. Now AC is going to need Cabo.

What is this with shooting people in the leg? They shoot Oscar in the leg. Ximena got around on her bad leg a lot better than Sabino, must be an age thing.

I think the priest will now be in danger. I think they will be afraid Sonia confessed Ramiro's sins instead of her own. But the priest can't reveal anything from the confessional. I guess that's why Sonia wanted him to give the black bk to the Cardinal.

The look on Monica's face was really sth when Lupe & Oscar became BFF's. Lupe doesn't know about Cabo I don't think. She believes her hermano is estupido . She is smart enough or sexy enough to convince AC that she didn't have anything to do with the kill Sabino thing.

AC wears that huge gold cross. He doesn't follow the 10 commandments especially 6 & 7.

Pasion Prohibida

Oh, Deb, Bruno is so cornered, by the time he realizes what he's done he'll be married with 3-4 kids, with Flavia still leaving in the same house.

I'm sorry to say this, but Bianca should have chosen another man to fall in love with. She is all fire and action, while Bruno enjoys the good life to much. His pain is believable, but that is only because JC Canela is working his a.ss off to make it so, because if you take away the pretty wrapping, Bruno is really not that much of catch, money or no money.

Santi is the sanest person in this house, I always wonder why doesn't Ariel talk about him, too, when he mentions who will run the company one day. Sure, he's very young now, but it can't be that difficult to be better than Bruno, all he has to do is show up for work, not sleep with Ariel's wife and finish his 'carera' before he's to old to hold a pen.

With all the folks getting shot in the leg, I half expected to see ads for orthopedic surgeons.

You may be right, Variopinta, that age helps to explain why Ximena got around much better than Sabino even though both of them were shot in the leg. However, I think part of the answer may also be that Ximena was shot in the upper part of the leg, while it looked to me as if Sabino was shot in or near the knee. I think that might cause more problems with movement. Though I guess Sabino's problems--movement and otherwise--are now at an end.

I'm not sure how well Don Oscar will manage, or whether, like Sabino, he won't get a chance to hobble around for long.

WCIELOS

Darn, I did it again, or, rather, I failed to do it again: the comment right above this one should start with CIELOS.

Lo siento.

LA PATRONA:

Novelera, I think Guerra is going to kill Dr Ines, and make it look as if Pati or Ricky did it. That'll destroy his career for good. Dr Ines is useless otherwise.

I think Poncia is the donor match for Lucia because she's an unrevealed relative of Guerra's-could be a sister or her daughter by someone who raped Guerra when she was in her early teens. That makes sense to me because Guerra is the queen of projection. She hates people who are poor and helpless like she was -hence her hatred of Gaby and Ceci.

PASION PROHIBIDA

AdrianaNoel, I wonder about Santi too... poor kid! He doesn't seem to have any friends or be involved in any kid activities outside the house, just sitting in his room by himself playing video games in the middle of a montón de CRAZY.

BLECK. Bruno "admits" he loves Nina, and now I'll never get that goofy preteen grin out of my head. Seriously, I'll say it again. Can't. Stand. Nina. I wish she was more like the sourpuss sitting at the piano in the intro... at least maybe she'd seem older than 13 and the noviazgo with Bruce would have (somewhat) less of an ick-factor.

Ariel is a dolt. So done with him.

I really wanted Yair to come to his senses and hook up with Camila. Sure, she's nosy and annoying sometimes, but SO much more likable than Neeeena. Doesn't look like there's time for that to happen now, though. And this cough... I get the feeling we're going to end up with a body count at the end of this.

I'm hoping there is a least another B/B makeout (and more) scene left. Those two can seriously turn up the heat--and this show needs a break from the tension.

Can I say I can't believe we've gotten this far without a pregnancy scandal??? Ok, there was the one at the very beginning, but don't most tns have multiple real/fake/unknown father pregnancies? That is one thing that drives me crazy about tns, so I'm glad we seem to have dodged that bullet (although we do still have several more episodes to go...)

LA PATRONA

Alejandro as Poncia's son - I had speculated that this might be Poncia's secret a long time back, but I don't think so now. We learned that Poncia had been held hostage by Antonia's lie about the dead husband. Then Poncia made a statement to (?whom) that she'd never was able to have children of her own and that was why she cared so much about Antonia's boys.

My guesses for a donor for Lucia: 1) Gabriela or 2) Irene's baby by Lucho.
