Amores Verdaderos #154 Mon 6/17/13 a bit of this and a bit of that... Nil-Brains and Anyballs protest Nikki and Frankie relationship, they could care less... well, Nikki has some reality checks to endure.

JA walks in on Vicky and Carlos at her office, and drops a book worth of papers on Carlos…
Vicky reprimends, how about knocking before burging in?
Carlos makes his quiet exit… Vicky and JA argue like teens
JA is way out there in his jealous rage. Vicky puts him on the spot, I hope my guy will trust me. JA responds ‘yes ma’am!’
Candy comes to visit Anyballs, she wonders why he called her in. ANyballs brings up the Nikki/Guzman affair issue. Candy is more worried about Lilli. Anyballs changes the subject drastically, we have to go public with our hand holding. Everyone should find out you are the love of my life… I want you to be my dinner guest tonight, with Vicky and Adri. And you will be there as my fiancee’. Candy wants to spill the beans about Lilli, Anyballs goes ‘whoa there! Not so fast’ I want them to know you are the woman I have always loved but not ready to take mask off… I am ready to confront everything (cough cough, with that one HUGE exception!) … for you Candy.
Candy comes out (not sure what response she gave him other than deer in headlights eyes)… JA sees her, asks her what are u doing here? Who are you looking for?
Nikki calls Vicky and tells her the ‘wanna get away?’ moment she just had at the grocery store (that is how my dear Tatito is treating me). Vicky says don’t worry, I will get you all set up (with her own plastic, I am guessing).
Vicky sends Frankie a message to come see her in her office asap.
Nikki is at farmers market, is more lost than a worm in a hen house…
Back to poor deer Candy with JA at offices. Candy puts as excuse the new job of Lilli’s at the greenhouse of ANyballs, JA needs to talk to Anyballs. Candy makes her exit, or maybe she was running (she was indeed running) to the ladies room?
Anyballs calls HR and apparently makes sure they won’t speak well about Frankie if he uses the company as reference. (yikes!!)
Roy comes back to green house, this time minus the costume. Lilli treats him like crap, won’t even consider accepting him as a friend. She whoshes him away but he comes bag like a pest bug. He pleads with her to give him a shot, he wants the job as her assistant. I personally like his trying to get the job saying he will call her ‘jefa preciosa’. She says this job is not for him, who Is famous and gives press conferences all the time. She won’t believe that he is willing to leave that celebrity world behind for her. So he says put me to the test. If I don’t measure up, you fire me.
JA goes in to talk to Anyballs. JA assures ANyballs his relationship with Vicky won’t interfere with his job. Anyballs turns on his recorded message ‘yours is a very unequal relationship’. JA wants to bring back the subject of Lilli and the greenhouse. Warns Anyballs she is not very experienced. ANyballs says he trusts her abilities. JA repeats his warning.
Nikki tries to sell a suitcase full of clothes to make some money. Only thing is she gets a couple of the vendor women give her hard time because she needs permit to sell over there. Next thing we see is she has half of the community there yelling at her, so she walks away.
Nil-Brains goes to Vicky’s office to tell her he agreed with her dad and he will sign the divorce. Vicky asks for a truce, and please reconsider your opinion of Nikki’s relationship. Nil-Brains refuses.
Roy carries a ficus tree for Lilli from one place to another, she tells him he will need to learn the names of all the trees and plants. He promises he will, then she asks him to return ‘Ficus’ back to where it was. Roy obeys, Lilli smiles watching him.
Adri is confiding to Tomasina that she is hopeful with this new relationship she started with Carlos/Joan.
Adri is a bit concerned to compete with the memory of Vicky in Joane. Tomasina encourages her to trust Carlos/Joan. As they are talking Carlos texts her an invite to dinner, Tomasina encourages her even more. Meanwhile, Carlos is with Jocelyn, she is a bit not so sold on the Adri/Carlos relationship. Carlos says he deserves a bit of love. She wants him to think of consequences. Carlos is not quite ready to think long term, not ready to think about marriage or family either.
Candy visits Paula. Need to talk. Tells her Anyballs said he would talk to his daughters tonight about her. And that Anyballs will tell them he wants to marry her (Candy). Paula surprised about Anyball’s plans. Candy worried about Paula. Paula says don’t worry, it is over between us. He hurt me so much I don’t want to hear about him again. Especially now that I don’t have much longer to live. Paula wishes Candy happiness. Candy still very worried, why did Anyballs decide this all of a sudden? What is his intention? Paula says she knows ANyballs, he is selfish, so there must be some hidden agenda there. Repeats her best wishes for Candy. Candy says tonight will find out if Anyballs is sincere or not.
Frankie calls Vicky back. She summons him there at the office. Anyballs comes in. Yes, Nil-Brains came ready to finalize the divorce. Vicky wants to know what is the agreement on the stock distribution. Anyballs keeps saying don’t worry about it. And flips the coin on Vicky about her relationship with Arriaga and also on Nikki’s relationship. ‘I also have the right to think about myself!’ Vicky asks what are you talking about?? ‘You and Adriana will find out tonight!’ He won’t give Vicky any advances.
Adri meets with godfather Antonio, hopefully will meet that woman (the nurse?) and find out the truth. Adri tells Antonio she found a photo of Candy in Anyball’s book. When she questioned him he said he just knew her. Antonio thinks that hopefully Candy will tell her her secret about Lilli.
At greenhouse, Roy asks Lilli if she has anything else for him to do (jefa preciosa’). Lilli is doing inventory on paper, he suggests she use a computer. Roy calls Omar on phone to bring him his laptop (how nice of him!).
At offices, Frankie tells JA he will get a job offer any moment now. Bea also congratulates him on his relationship with Nikki and not holding any grudges to the Balbaneras.
Frankie heads over to see Vicky, Bea and JA talk about Nikki’s honest efforts to defend her relationship with Frankie.
Vicky tells Frankie she is concerned the anxiety of breaking communications with her dad and granddad will make her fall back on the bulimia. She offers Frankie money monthly to help them survive. He turns her down. She is proud of him and of the fact that Nikki is finally with him for good. She thanks her new SIL.
KenDrat comes to the offices, Gilda has to get approval from Nil-Brains to let her in, since Anyballs and Vicky had banned her from the facilities.
Frankie is heading out, in comes KenDrat. She treats him like crap, he could care less about what she thinks of him and Nikki. She tries to put him on the spot with: ‘when need comes in the door, the love goes out the window’. Frankie rebuttes with ‘love conquers all’.
JA tries to apologize to Vicky about the Carlos visit incident, she is understanding, but comments to him that he needs to watch his behavior. He promises he will. Says he loves her. She puts one condition. He can’t get jealous of her anymore. He promises… She reminds him fidelity is very important for her, she could never be in another man’s arms. She loves him. I love you too… like no one has loved you before. (smooch)
At Nil-Brains office, KenDrat (with full black widow outfit), ‘She is dead!’… wait for it… wait for it… (poor Nil-Brains skipped a beat)… my aunt!... (the color comes back to Nil-Brains)… I could not even say goodbye, I have to go to the funeral. (Nil-Brains can’t go, he has to watch over the commercial production)… He will watch over little Mia. She even wants him to take a picture of Mia and send it to her via cell phone. Nil-Brains tells her to take care of herself, she takes it the wrong way (all script, she knows better) and whines to him for calling her ‘fatty’. Gilda comes to let him know the new model girl for the commercial came in. Nil-Brains says ‘I am a bit sensitive these days, don’t make me feel bad’.He tells KenDrat all he has is Mia and her, KenDrat uses that as ammu to keep pushing him to think of a future for the three of them. FINALLY!... KenDrat leaves. Nil-Brains and Dances leave too, Dances wonders what KenDrat is planning now. KenDrat on phone in car, she is taking friend to a luxury spa in Morelos for some R&R and to get her figure back while Nil-Brains takes care of the baby.
At the greenhouse, Roy is giving Lilli a quick ‘Inventory/Budget 101’
Roy is looking like the young part-time guy asking boss for a permanent full time position. Lilli agrees but warns this is just work relationship. There won’t be any relationship between us. He grunts ‘shucks!.. but that’s ok, need the job’
Adriana is dressed to the nines, ready for a dinner date with Carlos… Vicky and JA notice how pretty she looks. Adri thinks the dinner is with the sponsors/producers of the movie. Vicky tells her about Carlos visit and tells her that his new movie is based on her novel ‘Amores Verdaderos’. Adri lets her know that the idea of forwarding the book to Carlos was JA’s.

I laughed about the "death" of Tia Puchis. Too funny and the look on Dances' face, priceless, lol. Kendho sure didn't like the look of that new model. I think she is prettier than Kendho and Nabila. I wonder what FF really thinks about the new model , Hmmm.....
I loved how Roy talked Lili into giving him that job. I have to say they are very cute together. I think she is liking him a bit too! How nice for him to bring the laptop and teach her a bit about bidness. I think they'd make a great couple both in bidness and other wise.
Angel has some avacadoes to beard Anyballs in his den, and I have to say Anyballs is such a hypocrite. He dares to look down his nose at Vikki/Angel and Nikki/Frankie, but he can have Cande join the family, que, que, what???? I think he is leading Cande on, and I hope she keeps being suspicious of him and his motives.
Nikki is trying. Her Moms did offer her money and she turned her down too. I like that Nikki is trying to find a way to make some money. Maybe she will go job hunting too. I felt bad for her at the market when the ladies were chasing her off, poor thing didn't know she needed a permit. I am surprised she didn't use Craig's List, but then again she has never sold anything before. I bet her designer duds cost her some dinero, well her Tatito some dinero.
I think Angel doesn't quite trust Joan to remain "friends" with Ms Vikki cause he was her first love. He is almost acting like Cris in a way, but a little more calmly, if that is possible. I wonder if he will be able to keep himself in check, lol.
I wonder when Adri will ask Cande if she knew that nurse at the clinic in Santa Rita they worked at? I wonder what Cande will tell her. I can't wait for that!

Great job Marta. This episode was all over the place, but had a lot of cute and funny moments- JA's jealousy, Nikki's misadventures in the market, Lili and Roy, and the death of Tia Puchis. Lol!
I'm surprised that Anibal is really going to go public with his relationship with Cande, but I guess he'll do anything to keep her quiet about Lili's origins. I thought Paula took it well, seeing as she tried for 20 years to get him to do the same thing.

I was surprised Dances could keep a straight face when KenDrat named her 'dead aunt' 'Tia Puchis', since that is the way Kendrat refers to Dances, as 'Puchis'.
I am sure Dances is enjoying all of this torturing of KenDrat and the fact that she keeps swinging but the ball does does not fly out of the park like she expects to.

If Aníbal introduces Cande at a family dinner as his long-time love and fiancé, then I don't see what leading on he can be doing. And as for keeping Cande quiet - she is not asking for a relationship nor that the old one even be recognized. Shes clearly not even sure she wants a new relationship with Aníbal. The only thing I can imagine is that Aníbal thinks that this is a way to get Lili recognized as his granddaughter without admitting Lili is Adriana's stolen daughter. He does want a relationship with Cande, but he thinks it can all be on his terms and that he can smooze or steamroll her to always get his way. I have a feeling Cande will have some conditions that must be met before she'll agree to marry him. She left him before due to her principals.

It'll probably all come down to - it's OK for a man to marry beneath his station, but not for a woman. FF seemed to use the same logic - consistently ignoring that Kendra also was "an employee" during their affair, but outraged that his wife would have a relationship so "beneath her". I never understood why Kendra wasn't beneath his station compared to JA - but I expect it's the same knee-jerk double standard.
It does really bug me that JA is still Viki's employee/bodyguard. One moment it's "whatever you need señora" and the next loving couple discussions. Very awkward IMO.

I agree with you and Madelaine about Roy: "I personally like his trying to get the job saying he will call her ‘jefa preciosa’". With her knowledge and his business savvy, a successful collaboration seems to be in the making.
Have to give Nikki props for "how to succeed in business without really trying". No permit? Infringing on other vendors territory? No problem! I did laugh that at least one potential customer knew quality clothing when she saw it!

Vicky and JA spoke about how he's nearly done with his agricultural engineering degree, and then he'll quit the bodyguard work and become a full-time ag engineer. Seems like his work will take him to the countryside, while her MetaImagen work is based in the city. But maybe she'll become a full-time writer in the country and Nikki can take over MetaImagen?

Nikki and Guzmi are in for a rough patch, but Vikki won't let them starve--JM could help out with cooking classes. (To go back to the episode where Nikki was shopping, it wasn't only food on her list--she had a microwave and blender and a few other appliances. It made me more in awe of Guzmi's culinary talents without a fully-loaded kitchen.)
Anyballs is just an old lecher trying to do damage-control on "his" biggest sin (Cristina) by shutting Cande up--but, haha he only thinks he can. I trust Cande farther than I can Anibal. He's suave (and slimy and manipulative). I really don't see what Cande sees in him. He's trying to light a flame that went out a long time ago. She needs to seriously re-think this marriage thing, if that's his game. The fly in the ointment isn't Cande, it's FF.
Vikki will hit the roof when she finds out that Anibal blackballed Guzmi right out of the gate. I liked how she told Guzmi that she sees him as a son (not just a SIL).
Paula sure is cheerful about dying. I'd kinda expected her to be in full drippy mode. I guess the reconciliation with Guzmi and getting Guillo back and Low One out of Bea's hair and Dances back in her life has given her a dry-eyed period. I'm glad. It's easier on Patio eyes, that's for sure.
Someone mentioned earlier in the week that Carlos/Joan had ulterior motives for getting close to Adri. ITA. I don't think he's given up on getting Vikki--and needling JA in the process, whether it's for getting back at Anyballs for his treatment back when or just to prove his seduction powers are intact.
Carlos' interest in Adri is pasajero, he admits that himself. He's quite the operator and thinks of himself as God's gift to any woman he sets his eyes on.
He lives in a make-believe world. He thinks highly of himself and his professional success proves it. It only makes him more conceited.
(Didn't we hear at the beginning of his re-appearance that he was a world famous documentary film-maker? When the author refused to go along with editorial changes, it sounded like it was fiction. That's what he and Vikki were discussing at one point about the ending. He told her yes, she was the author, but he gets to have the last word on the ending.)

I did think it funny that after she teased Guzmi about only knowing how to make pasta dishes a few episodes back, when she realized she couldn't buy groceries she was all, "okay, what CAN I make?...Pasta!"
I think she could get work as a stylist, for advertising shoots or famous or rich people who want help putting together their luke or whatever. She knows what's what in current fashions and has contacts in those segments...as long as FF and Tatito don't get in her way.

Gee...I am completely gullible. I thought that yawnCarlos was really falling for Adri. I hope that you guys are right about her onetruelove waiting in the wings to kick YawnCarlos right in the ascot. Which actor is playing Vincent? Has he been in any novelas I might know ? Do you know anyone in real life who ended up with his or her first or early love later in life? I can only think of one person I know. She was a couple years ahead of me in high school. She "had to" marry her high school beau..and had a son...divorced him..married again and had a son...divorced him...then at a reunion of all classes at our high school she reconnected with another beau ...not sure if it lasted.

I know some people who had had the hots for each other in high school and then for some reason both married other people...he had a few kids with his first wife, then they divorced, then I think he was married two other times for a few years each. Meanwhile, she had two kids with her husband. Years later, when their kids were all about high school age, they hooked up again, each divorced their current spouses, and got married. Their marriage only lasted a few years, but now his daughter is married to her son, and as far as I know those two are still together.
Julia...wow...that sounds like a storyline that you could pitch to Televisa. As they say and I believe..truth is stranger than fiction. Everyone has a story.

Diana - I missed JA's lapel action, will have to take another look.
Don't know if fiction will follow reality, but in her book Vickie had the couple living happily ever after in some remote place and it didn’t sound like she was commuting to the city.
