Amores Verdaderos #159 Mon 6/24/13 Who needs Paul Revere when you have Felipe Guzman, Adriana Balbanera and Frankie Guzman to travel lightning fast and deliver the headlines??

Anyballs meets with Roy, tells him he will support his relationship with Lilli (WHOA THERE!! is the facial expression of Roy).. Roy asks why. Anyballs gives him crap tte of 'i know Lilli has feelings for you' But we know better, Anyballs says to himself that Nikki might have left with the useless lastname Frankie, but he will make sure Lilli joins a man with a decent surname!! (GRRRR!!!)
niki surprised guzmi ripped check form nilbrains, he says we will make it... she is happy with that.
she is heading to another job prospect. and then will check with lawyer on status of her divorce.
Felipe forces his way through into Paula's place. He is irate, the man who broke us up turns out to have been precisely Anyballs Barbie!! She can't calm him down... If Frankie had known you were his bosse's lover he would never have been at that house... and now my son is in love with that man's granddaughter!! and our daughter also works for that guy!! all our lives depend on that man!! our children must know that!! (he heads out but she stops him)
Vicky puts Adri up to speed with ANyballs and Paula's discovery. Adri reminds Vicky that apparently there is a curse on broken relationships... Maybe we should not judge Paula, she fell in the claws of that man. Vicky not so sold. But Adri insists and Vicky remembers when he was in hospital for his heart attack, he mentioned having another daughter, could it be Bea? no, not a chance. THen who?? with what lover??
Felipe visits Frankie, will give him terrible news that will hurt him. You have right to know.
your mom's lover, the man she left us for over 20 yrs ago, is Anyballs... (Frankie frozen angry)
At office, Anyballs tasks Dances to watch Nil-Brain's every move. Dances mentions could that be conflict of interest? Anyballs reminds him 'you work for me, and you know what that means, right?'
Frankie goes right to Paula's door... (poor Paula, her apartment is a complaint department at the DMV) ... she admits that the truth has come out about her past, and she has lost him again.
Frankie says no, not quite. maybe before i would have been more resentful, but now we have rescued our relationship and i want it to stay that way. (he is pretty supportive, holding her hands)
Like Jose Angel said, rencor is of no use but to hurt ourselves. But what bothers me is that the man who destroyed our family is precisely Niki's granddad, the man making HER suffer.
Nikki and Roy are exchanging notes at a cafe... (not a fancy restaurant, a plain diner cafe!!) They bring each other up to speed, but she won't hear anything about LIlliana. She still can't conceive Lilliana being anyone's shining star. Roy asks her not to bratt Lilli in front of him.
Paula and Adri talk about Frankie coming over and being pretty understanding with her. Adri is worried about another issue. 'you went to see my dad at the hospital and told him about another daughter. who is that?' Paula passes the hot potato to Candelaria. Paula will not tell her about her (Adri's) daughter, but will tell her why Cande is so important for Anyballs... (drum roll please)... they had a daughter... it was Cristina, Arriaga's wife.. (HUMP!! THERE IT IS!!!) Adri goes irate. Anyballs is a monster!! Paula clarifies to her that Anyballs did not know about Cristina. Paula confesses that months after Cris was born, she intercepted a letter from Candelaria that told Anyballs about her daughter. Adri says even if he got the letter, he would have hidden the other daughter. Adri is first to admit Anyballs would have kept that fact from everyone...
Paula asks what she will do with this fact. Adri says not sure, what do we tell Vicky, and JA?? this secret will change many lives, mainly Vicky and Jose Angel's.
Vicky and JoseAngel in her study?... he is nagging about Carlos, because Vicky has to go to a business dinner with Carlos... Vicky is using a 'stop the insanity!' tone. Lilli arrives. Wanted to show her flyers they made about the greenhouse. Lilli notices Vicky and JA went silent on her. Vicky says will be there. Anything I can do to help? Lilli rudely tells her no need, Ms Adri is helping me out.
Lilli and JA walk away, she questions what is up with him and Ms Vicky? He asks 'are you seeing moros con tranchete?' .Lilli says just respect the memory of my mother!
Adri visits Carlos... He notices how startled she is. she tells him she just found out about a truth that had been hidden for many years... It is somethign that will change many lives... My father is despicable. Carlos says that is nothing new. Adri says Anyball's daughter died, it was Cristina, Jose Angel's wife!!
At her paint studio, JA still irritated at Vicky for Lilli's attitude. Vicky more worried about Nikki and Lilli's relationship
Carlos amazed at how small the world is after all, Adri surprised to realize she met her own sister.
Adri says she now understands the 'call of the blood' because Lilli turns out to be her niece!! Lilli is very sensitive, sometimes had these 'feelings' of prediction.
Adri worried that when Vicky learns the truth, her guilt feelings about Cris, and JA's guilts, will come back and will probably separate them again. Carlos reminds Adri that the truth will definitely affect Vicky. IF she splits with Arriaga, she will be consumed by loneliness and sorrow.
Guzmi meets with Bea at the office... he is not sure why she called for him, don't want to run into either Briz or Anyballs. Guzmi asks Bea if she had known that 'our Mother was Anyballs's lover?'
Bea says she wanted to spare Frankie a violent tantrum. What would you have done if you knew then? Frankie admits he would have destroyed Anyball's face. Bea is worried this will break his progress with his mother. Frankie says when he reconciled with Paula he did it from the heart. What worries him now is the reaction from Nikki to the news(this makes her Lilli's cousin!!, can Nikki's disco duro handle this data??)
Nil-Brains is busy at the recording of the new commercial. everything has to be ready by 9pm sharp
He behaves a bit bossy with the filmmaker and everyone else.
Back at house dining room, Adri tells Lilli she should save one of the flyers as souvenir. Tells Lilli she is sure her mother is proud of her. Lilli says she sure must be proud. she watches over me wherever i am.. Adri wants her to tell her more about Cris. Lilli says she had great humor, she always made me and dad laugh. When she was happy she was great, but watch out when she was angry, she had her temper!! Adri says she would have liked to get to know her, be her friend... Lilli says who would have known that since my mom left us you would be so close to me. Adri says she always liked Lilli, and can now say she loves her. Lilli says ditto.
Guzmi at home, waiting for Nikki, worried about finding the right words. Nikki comes home running happy, i am divorced!! now we can get married!! (Frankie has a very deflated reaction and she notices) Nikki asks Frankie if he changed his mind... of course not, it is what i want most in life. But... there is something very serious I need to tell you about. Frankie tells her that the man his mother left him and Bea for... is her granddad, Anyballs. Nikki frozen clueless. 'Then Paula was my granddad's mistress?' Frankie worries about their own relationship. Nikki says dont worry about that. if my mom does not mind, i would not either... Nikki confesses she would have preferred her granddad married Paula and not Lilli's grandma. What about when Vicky finds out? Nikki says mi super mami is very cool... but try to understand her, it is years and years of resentment against the woman my granddad was traveling with while my grandma was dying. Frankie still worried. Nikki says dont worry, besides, don't let their issues affect our relationship. Dont want ANYTHING to split us again.
At a very ellegant dinner party, Nil-Brains walks in alone... ah! its the presentation of the new commercial campaign for UltraBelle... yada yada... typical marketing speech for a beauty product, magic beauty in a jar... (alladin style?) Nil-Brains introduces the campaign model, then the video.
Doesn't look like Nil-Brains is impressed... but he fakes sasisfaction applauding with everyone else
Back at the house, someone is trying to come in the art studio, JA is setting up the blanket on floor with flower petals before letting her in... he is out of breath... they play like kids... why did you lock? (DUH!!!), he leads her down the steps... she loves the surprise. So detail-oriented... can I read what you wrote? Vicky, each day you draw in me the joy of hope and love..' smooching...
he repeats to her what he drew/wrote on the painting... SHe says i am so happy with you, suddenly i feel we are living a hidden love... love you... smooching... down to blankie... off come the clothes...
Next morning, at kitchen, Lilli and JA with JM cooking... she is on phone with grandma (or is it Opalina the snails woman?)... Cande can't come to wedding... JA says he is proud of her... your mother, wherever she is, is very proud too. Now I realize you are no longer a girl, you are now quite a lady.
Nil-Brains with KenDrat in the bright red silks... she keeps faking being the pained mother, will still be another two weeks without little Mia... (MIER>>>>) ... Nil-Brains is amazed Nikki has been with Frankie the nobody for 15 days... and Anyballs keeps giving the Karateca's daughter everything Nikki should have had... KenDrat thinks that it would be nice for Nikki to spoil the party for Lilli (the greenhouse opening?) ...
Is this Nikki's nightmare?? she is surrounded by kids, her belly is also very big and round... all alone, Frankie comes hime and is totally flustered, this place is a dump compared to where they live right now... this MUST be a nightmare of Nikki's...
she keeps yelling 'i don't want to be poor anymore!!'... yup, Nikki's nightmare... she is voicing 'I can't stand this poverty anymore!' but she is saying it for real and Frankie hears her... he asks her 'is it true you can't stand our poverty?'

Nikki asks for the greenhouse address... she seems to spoil the wedding , i mean, the celebration.
JA is telling Vicky, no matter what my daughter says about our relationship, i love you Victoria. Lilli is watching them, maybe hearing it too.

Finally, now there is some truth being told. Glad Pau let it out of the bag with Adri and glad Adri had that talk with Ms Vikki about the Pau. Adri is more forgiving. But will Adri tell Ms Vikki about Cris?
Lili is very rude! She assumes a lot, even though all of us know what is going on, she really doesn't. I didn't like the fact she said "Respect the memory of my Mama". The Angel has respected it and still does. He really needs to tell Lili, but it looks like tomorrow she finds out on her own. I still don't like this stigma of not being allowed to love Cris' sister. They are half-sisters and besides no one knows/knew until now and probably later. I don't want the guilt and angst to come back again!
I had a feeling Felipe would blab. I am glad Frankie took it well and didn't get all pithed off again. I am glad he took the Angel's advice.
Glad Nikki took it well too, had to laugh at her "nightmare". She looked so funny with all those kids. It looked like the same place, but messier, more cluttered. Frankie sure didn't look like himself.
So I wonder what this watching every step of FF by Santino is going to entail? Will FF finally do something bad enough for Anyballs to get the upper hand? I can't wait for that!
Now wonder if Joan will think he has the upper hand, if something happens with Angel and Ms Vikki, hmmmm... Poor Adri!
And finally Ms Vikki and the Angel, sigh!!!!! I really like the little romantic things they do together, be it painting, poetry, music, dancing, kissing, doing the deed, they are so romantic, but I feel the anvil of destiny coming and I don't like it!

One of Anibal's secrets exposed. While I'm glad this part of his life has been exposed, the person that is being hurt the most is Paula. Thankfully, Francisco reacted with maturity, kindness and love. We know Felipe will simmer down and Bea has lent her loving support and understanding for some time now.
The worst fallout will be the irreperable harm to Paula and Vicky's relationship. I must side with Paula as though through her illness, she does seem to be paying for her sins. How convenient Paula is dying and that she will soon be just an unpleasant memory while Anibal continues to walk, talk and torment. Ack.
I like that Vicky is more concerned about Nikki and Lili's relationship rather than Lili's rudeness to her. She is trying but Lili is rebuffing her at every opportunity. When she finds out the truth (likely tonight), she will feel betrayal as well as anger. And it is JA's fault!

Nikki's nightmare was funny. In addition to the kids, pregnancy, and beer belly, surly Frankie, her hair had also gone dark brown. Horrors of horrors! LOL!
Lili could clearly hear that JA and Vicky were having an intimate argument and JA was using tu with her. She senses they have a thing going on and that's why she was so cold with them. I wouldn't call it rude because she didn't really do or say anything rude. JA continuing to lie to her is just going to make things so much worse when she finds out on her own.
Adri was only understanding about Paula because she already knew. Remember how she tore into Paula when she first found out months ago. Vicky is already calming down faster than Adri did at the time. I'm glad that it seems that everyone is going to let the issue go, and Paula can enjoy these last months at peace. I'm sure Felipe will come around soon.

Carlos, about the candles... it is the third novela where a setting of candles is making me so nervous it distracts me some from enjoying the novela itself...
remember the endings of Zorro la espada y la rosa, and La Hija del Mariachi? ... there were candle/flower scenes in both of them.

I'm not sure I can watch the Passion Pit scene. Fire hazards regularly freak me out in telenovelas. Does the Lair of Lust even have any windows? What is its ventilation system? Is there a secondary egress route? At least the door doesn't seem to require keys to unlock from the inside.

One tiny detail that I can add to JA & Vikki's convo in the Lady Cave (I like that one best--it's multi-purpose).
When Vikki kvetched she felt like she was living a hidden love, JA apologized and promised her that very soon, everything would come to light. So, in his mind, he *is* trying to figure out the best time to tell Lili. I'm ready to bop him one with a foam skillet. Doesn't he realize that waiting for the right moment will never come if he doesn't really want a confrontation?
Poor Vikki. Maybe it's just as well Lili overhears it and that forces JA's hand. It'll get ugly for awhile, but if she follows her dad's advice, rancor only hurts ourselves, everything will turn out ok. Lest we forget, *Everybody, and I mean everybody* knows about JA and Vikki, except Lili. She ought to feel more betrayed by that than the secret itself.
I thought Joan/Carlos was being sincere in his concern about how the news would hurt Vikki and her relationship with JA. Can he be that underhanded to take advantage after starting up something with Adri that looked pretty good?
The two had settled their differences over Vikki. And Vikki has made it clear that Joan/Carlos is no longer on her calendar.
Could it be that J/C was intent on conquering Vikki, but never with the intention of settling down with her--he just wanted that Venice adventure they never had, then they'd both go back to work (i.e. their separate ways).
I'm somewhat confused by Anyballs asking Salsero (and why haven't we seen him and Bea out dancing yet--we only got to see a little of his great hip movements) to monitor every move of Nil-sans-mucho. He already knows about Kendra. What else does he think he'll do? Even if he goes after Miss Pinky Ultra Belle, so what....he's a man and a man has needs and a right to be a putz. Salsa is assigned to Nil-sans, but Anyball pays the bill.
Oh, I forgot all about the Code of Silence among guardespaldas. Maybe that's why their Patio table is among the quieter ones and Anyballs can't hear what's going on from way over there at his table. Give the man some more red wine and leave him be to speculate.

Actually I think Salsero actually works for Anyballs. He just happened to be assigned to bodyguard FF. Salsero is head of security for Meta Imagen and always was.
Actually I think Salsero actually works for Anyballs. He just happened to be assigned to bodyguard FF. Salsero is head of security for Meta Imagen and always was.

The UltraBelle video was hilarious with the actress flying through the air - a cross between the flying Walinda and Mary Poppins. The beauty cream is supposed to take decades off your looks except it had a 23 yr old as the model so if she used it she would appear as a three year old. Another of Nelson's scams.

On the half-sister thing in the AV universe, Vickie and Adriana are full sisters and they've both had Carlos and that's okay.
But Vickie and Cris are half-sisters and both having JA would not be okay according to JA and Vickie. Looking forward to seeing how they define this dilemma.

maybe the difference is not the "having" part but the "marrying" part. I do not know. It is probably just a plot device to extend the suffering !!!!

Lili was on the phone with Opalina, who was telling her she couldn't make it to her nursery's grand opening (not wedding).
Lili definitely suspects there's something between JA and Vikki but I don't think her objection is because she prefers Adri to Vikki being with her father. She actually prefers ANYBODY to Vikki, because Cris was jealous and suspicious of Victoria and that's why Lili wants JA to "honor" her mother's memory. If he ends up with Victoria, she'll feel her mother may have been right after all and that they (JA/Vikki) started messing around while Cris was still alive.
The "they can't be together if it turns out that Vikki and Cris were sisters," IMO, is because Cris was already jealous of Vikki and they (JA/Vikki) would feel guilty if it turns out that they caused her own sister such suffering. As Niecie said, they have no problem with the Vikki/Carlos/Adri issue.
