CI: Episode #21, Monday, June 10, 2013 – MC, Solita and their Monkey Leave “Ranch Hell” and Head for the Big City, But Not Before MC Promises Sweet Vengeance!!!!!

Corazon Indomable, Episode #21, Monday, June 10, 2013 –
MC, Solita and their Monkey Leave “Ranch Hell” and Head for the Big City, But Not Before MC Promises Sweet Vengeance!!!!!

(Note:  some scenes are combined)

Santa breaks the news to MC that grandpa has died.  MC sobs and asks if he died from sadness.  Maria and Santa explain that the shack caught fire and grandpa couldn’t get out.  MC asks where Solita is, if she died too.  Her friends tell her they didn’t find Solita among the burned ruins, but don’t know where she is, and she probably got scared and ran away.  MC says Solita would never have left grandpa alone to burn.  She begs to be let out so she can go look for her.

Miguel tells Lucia that Ofelia mentioned the P.I. and he asks what he wanted; Lucia says the P.I. was hired by a rich client to search for a man named Ramiro and a young girl named Maria Alejandra Mendoza, that she thought of mentioning Don Ramiro and his death but felt it would be “in bad taste” – as if bad taste ever stopped Luciafer from doing anything.  Miguel asks if it could have anything to do with MC, but Lucia says no, nothing.

A trooper makes Maria, Santa and JA go away.  MC begs them not to leave, then yells that it’s all Lucia’s fault, that she is an evil woman.  She screams that she hates the whole world, all those who were evil towards her, and especially “Octavio, that one before anyone else.  He’s guilty too, and I would kill him before anyone else because I hate him.  I hate him with all my heart.”

Miguel tells Lucia that he already gave inspector Suarez the document they both signed dropping any charges against MC and also some money for MC, just as Lucia suggested……Later, Lucia says to herself that they will have to go over her dead body before she will accept any culpability.  (Any takers to do the honors???)  Then she remembers that she “always” heard that MC was the daughter of a rich man who abandoned the mother.  (Really, is that why she always called her basura?)  She wonders why the different name, but is glad that she misled the detective.

A trooper takes MC to inspector Suarez’s office, where he informs her that she is free to go, adding that rarely in life will she find people “as noble as the Narvaez señores” – well, thank goodness for that!!! – since they did not press charges against her.  He advises her not to steal again, but MC repeats her story about how she got the necklace as a muddy “gift”.  She says she can tell he doesn’t believe her, that Lucia planned everything very well.  Suarez hands her a small box with grandpa’s ashes.  She clutches it and cries.  He then gives her money and suggests she leave town.  She says she can’t leave because she has to find Solita.  He tells her they are already searching for her, but as soon as she is found both of them should leave.  He suggests they go to the capital, where she can work as a maid.  He can recommend her to a relative of his who owns a boarding house.  MC says she knows she can’t stay because Lucia will not stop until she has hurt her very much.  She then declares her intent to exact vengeance on her tormentors, saying:  “I have to go away.  But one day I will return……I have to do it.  God has to allow me to one day make her pick up with her teeth a jewel, anything.  Some day I will return and I will get vengeance…..I assure you I will get vengeance on Lucia Narvaez.”  Ignoring the inspector’s advice to forget all about it, she adds:  “The pain they caused me is so great that I will never forget it.  And I will get vengeance against everyone who hurt me, inspector.  Everyone.”

A delivery boy drops off the mail; Lucia inspects it and sees a letter from Octavio to Miguel.  Lucia opens the letter – after all, if it’s for her husband, then it’s as if it were for her too, she reasons.  She pulls out a postal money order and decides to put it away.  She will discuss it later with Miguel, so they can come up with a plan about what to do with that money.  Luciafer is quite the planner, isn’t she?

To the strains of cellos and violins, a sorrowful MC slowly walks downhill to the burned out shack while clutching the box with grandpa’s ashes.  As she continues to cry and rummages through the rubble, we see flashbacks to the Olivares clan’s happier times, followed by a suddenly fierce look of cold determination on MC’s face.  (Bravo, Ana Brenda.  Almost four heartwrenching minutes, but worth seeing for her acting.)

MC goes and finds JA and tells him they released her from jail and that the inspector gave her money to go to the capital.  She says she can’t stay because the Narvaez family will continue trying to hurt her.  JA tells her that Maria and Santa are in the mountains looking for Solita.  MC says her heart tells her that Solita is alive and she must search for her.  JA offers to go help, even if he risks losing his job.  (We briefly see Maria asking around for Solita.)  MC and JA continue looking and run into Santa, who tells them no one has seen Solita.

Back at the ranch, inspector Suarez informs Miguel and Lucia that just as they requested he set MC free and gave her the money to go to Mexico City.  Lucia is hopeful that MC is already in town waiting to take the bus, but he tells them she won’t leave until she finds her sister.  Lucia wonders what will happen if she doesn’t find her, because they don’t want any more problems with her.  Suarez reminds them that he can’t force her to go away, but Lucia says she won’t be calm until she is far away.

MC and her three friends all gather in pitch darkness.  The others persuade MC to call it a night and start the search again in the morning.  MC reluctantly agrees, but insists on spending the night by the burned-out shack, in case Solita returns.

Lucia writes a letter, which she signs with Octavio’s name.  Then she writes on an envelope:  “Please deliver to Maricruz Olivares.”  Later, Lucia is waiting outside the big house for JA.  As JA arrives, she asks if he has been helping MC look for her sister; when he admits it, she says she will let it pass but he should not put his job at risk again.  She then hands him the envelope, telling him to take it right away to MC, as it is a letter that Octavio sent to her through his brother.

Octavio arrives at the boarding house of Doña Serafina (remember this name!!!) and asks if there was any call for him.  She says no.  He says he is expecting an important call or letter from his brother.  She promises to inform him as soon as he gets either one.

MC is back at the burned out shack, having more flashbacks of happier times with her family.  She says to herself:  “I feel so alone.”  JA arrives on horseback and asks where Maria is, since she was supposed to stay with MC.  MC says she went to get some blankets and food.  She asks why he returned.  He answers that Lucia gave him something for her.  MC says she wants nothing from “that one”.  “What does she want, to set another trap for me?”  (Pretty much, MC!!!!)  JA tells her “It’s a letter from joven Octavio.”

Lucia apologizes to Miguel for opening the letter from Octavio, reminding him there are “no secrets” between the two of them.  (That alone should ring alarm bells to Miguel about her secrets, but alas he’s too clueless!!!)  Miguel reads the letter, in which Octavio tells him he sends the money order so that he can start buying material to build MC’s house.  Octavio also says he feels better, even a little optimistic.  He adds he wanted to call by phone but preferred not to speak with Lucia; he also provides a phone number where Miguel can call him to tell him about MC, adding that he misses MC very much.  Lucia chimes in that his brother “will never learn his lesson” and seems surprised that Octavio still thinks about MC.  Miguel says he thinks Octavio loves MC, even if he doesn’t say it openly.  He wonders what they will do with the money, and both agree there’s no point in building MC’s house, since she is going far away.  Lucia says they have the right to put that money away or to invest it in the ranch without telling Octavio – well, there go Octavio’s hard earned wages…down the money pit.

JA hands the letter to MC.  He explains that Lucia told him the letter arrived in an envelope Octavio sent to them, requesting it be delivered to MC.  Though a bit surprised, MC is glad that Octavio (the man who earlier in the day she claimed to hate the most!!!) remembered her at a moment when she needs his consolation so much.  She says “thank you, God” and opens the letter.  Before reading it, she says to JA:  “I knew everything señora Lucia said about him was a lie.  And I’m such a brute that I doubted him.  When I see him again I will apologize to him.”   She adds she can barely read and will just have to “mash up” the words.  She starts reading aloud:  “Just a few short lines to tell you that what we have definitely can’t be.”  She stops reading, as tears roll down her face.  (We see a brief scene of Octavio dancing with a flight attendant, his thoughts clearly elsewhere.)  MC continues to read:  “Forget me Maricruz.  It’s for the best.  Octavio.”  JA and newly arrived Maria just stand there as MC continues to sob.  (Back to Octavio dancing; he thought bubbles:  “Maricruz, I’m no longer sure of what I am feeling.  But I swear that I will return for you.”)  Maria tells MC that it’s not to console her, but one can be betrayed at any age, though who would have thought joven Octavio would betray her.  JA says:  “I knew he would betray you.  He doesn’t love you, Maricruz.  He never loved you.”  MC says:  “Lucia is evil.  But Octavio is much worse than her.  He made a fool of me.  He also hurt me very much.  That’s why I hate him.  Now I hate him.”  (Now she hates him, now she doesn’t, now she hates him again.  Hmmm, this sounds like a pattern developing.)  “…..And I will also get vengeance against him some day.”

The next morning, MC and JA walk along the train tracks still searching for Solita.  She says again that once she finds her sister they will leave for the capital, where the inspector has already put her in touch with someone.

Eduardo tells Octavio to listen to him and forget MC already.  Octavio says:  “It’s just that I love her.”  Eduardo (who knows his friend as well as viewerville does) says “not to the point of sacrificing yourself for her, nor to live at her side forever.  Convince yourself, she’s not the woman for you.”  He adds that it would be more cruel to give MC renewed hope by returning to her side because it wouldn’t be long before he would abandon her again.

MC and JA continue on the tracks.  MC suddenly remembers that they used to go play and hide in the ruins of the old train station when they were kids.  They rush there.

Tech alert, tech alert!!!!  MC’s daddy sits at his computer writing a message (email? instant message?) to the P.I. telling him he can’t believe he has not found his daughter with all the clues he gave him.  (We can’t believe it either!!!)  The P.I. immediately responds (instant message it is!!!!) that he is presently in the state capital but hasn’t found anything there either.  The Voice tells him he has nothing to do there, that it’s in the little towns where he should be searching.  The P.I. explains that in the last ranch he visited he was given information about an old man named Ramiro who long ago moved to the state capital, but there is no government record of him there.  The Voice begs him to keep searching.

MC and JA reach the old train station.  Since Solita is deaf, MC decides they must search inside, even if there’s a danger of collapse.  They suddenly hear what sounds like the monkey and run towards him.  MC grabs the monkey and says now she is sure Solita is also around there.  They head inside the station.

Inspector Suarez is on the phone with Serafina (hmm, that name sounds familiar, doesn’t it?  In a city of 20 million people, what are the chances….???  Just remember, in TN Land anything is possible).  The inspector says:  “Yes, Serafina, I would be grateful to you…..she is taking a little money…until she can get a job….she’ll probably go with her little sister.  She’s a little ignorant, but….well, I think I was a little mistaken about her and that she’s a good girl.”  After he hangs up, the inspector tells himself that he believes he was “unwittingly an accomplice to a felony committed against that young girl.”  (Really???!!!!  Gotta wonder if MC’s little speech about exacting “vengeance” did the trick to convince inspector Suarez of her goodness.  Having seen first hand the look on her face when she delivered that speech, he must not want to be on the receiving end of that little promise.)

A dirty, bedraggled Solita sits in a corner in the fetal position, having her own flashbacks about grandpa’s last moments alive.  MC and JA find Solita there, shaking uncontrollably.  The two sisters embrace and cry together.  MC says:  “I knew God couldn’t be so bad to me.”  Later, Inspector Suarez receives a call informing him that Solita was found.  He gives orders that the girls be brought to him so he can send them that same day to Mexico City.

The girls and all their friends are back at the burned out shack, paying their last respects to grandpa.  Both girls are now dressed in much better clothes, but still barefoot.  Santa hands MC a small box saying she got some more used clothes for them.   (Now why couldn’t anyone donate clothes to them before?  And why still no shoes?)  Santa also gives MC a little extra money.

Ofelia informs Lucia and Miguel that the whole town is buzzing about MC having found her sister.  Lucia declares that their “nightmare is over” and they “will never again see them” in their lives, especially “that one” who caused them so much damage.  Miguel says that’s enough, that MC got the worst of it.  (For once we can agree with Miguel.)  Lucia warns him not to start defending MC and reminds him that she is his pregnant wife and she could get sick if he upsets her.

A patrolman arrives and informs MC and the others that inspector Suarez sent him to pick them up.  Later, inspector Suarez accompanies them all on their final walk to the bus stop.  The girls embrace all their friends goodbye.  MC thanks the inspector for his help but adds that she takes with her a “great sorrow” because no one believed in her innocence.  She swears “one last time”, on her dead grandpa, that she did not steal that necklace.  With signs and gestures, she gets Solita to agree to her description of how she pulled the necklace out of the mud with her teeth.  “You see, Solita is telling you that it was the truth.”  The inspector tells her he believes her, that he knows she is innocent.  As the bus arrives, he gives MC final instructions on what to do when they arrive in Mexico City.

All their friends continue to look on as MC and Solita climb the bus and it departs, both girls taking one last look back through their open windows.

Goodbye, Ranch Hell.  Hello, new beginnings.  Any guesses about what comes next?

Great work.

We finally get to Maricruz's Scarlett O'Hara moment. I can't wait to see what she will do to them.

Thanks LatinainMD. I am so happy we seem to be over the extreme torment part of the TN.

I loved MC's swearing vengeance as Lucifera and Octavio deserve it. It will be interesting to see if she really follows through on her anger b/c as you noted she can vacillate b/t loving and hating Oblivious.

The best moment for me tonight was the return of Moctavio. I was very concerned that Carlos's prediction about monkeys would hold here. I am concern how the little guy will handle the big city.

@UA - loved the Gone With the Wind reference. How apropos.

@Karen - Oblivious - I wish I had come up with that moniker. It describes Octavio perfectly. I also wish I could address your concerns, but alas I promised no spoilers. So I have to bite my tongue. Let's just say I think you will enjoy this next phase with MC2.0!!!!

LatinaInMD, I really liked your recap and your on-target editorial comments.

No she didn't! Lucia opening the letter was bad enough, but inventing a letter from Joven Oblivious was too much!

Karen, Oblivious hits the nail exactly on Octavio's empty head!

The scenes of MC mourning Abuelo and searching for Solita were well done. Her reunion with Solita was touching. Happy to see the monkey, but still no sign of the "important" papers and their box.

Just as they're ready to leave town, people start donating clothing. Huh? It couldn't happen sooner? Maybe Ramiro had too much pride.

Thanks for the tech alert! Wait until the two country girls hit the city and have to learn some new ways.

That bus stop shelter was one desolate looking place. Nice to see a group shot of Team MC as they approach the bus stop on their final task. Do we admit the Inspector as a provisional member, now that he thinks MC is innocent?

Excellent job LatinainMD!

Loved your side remarks.
Finally we are finished with the tormenting and hurting part hopefully. UA loved your - Scarlett O'Hara moment - synonym,
And the venganza part just beginning.. however I'm curious about the "Now she hates him, now she doesn’t, now she hates him again." I don't want MC to be weakend by her great love for Oct and don't get him what he deserves.

LatinainMD:

What a marvelous recap. I too loved your side comments.

Urban: Liked your Scareltt O'Hara moment too. Very apropos.

So glad Maricruz found Solita. I was really worried there that eww-sebio had done something with her, as in hiding her somewhere. I too am glad they are on their way to the city.

What a turnaround the Inspector did. At least he called ahead and will send her to a good place in the City. I think too that he truly believes she is innocent.

Luciferia is on my last nerve. She has already done enough to poor MC she needs to do one last thing? I can't wait for MC to get venganza on her. I am really sick of her. She needs the anvil already, along with Miguel. I also hope, that sometime in the future, Oblivious, thanks Karen, finds out exactly what they did to MC and that they kept his wages. I hope he exacts his own revenge on them also.

I really thought that PI had Luciferia's number, but evidently not. Too bad he didn't talk to Sanita or Maria, they would have told him about Ramiro.

I like the avances with MC and Solita and Moctavio in the Big City and did I hear The Voice? I can't wait to see what happens tomorrow.

Latina,

Thanks for the recap! I think that cop decided to believe her because he doesn't want to be on a pissed off woman's vengeance list.

I hope that someone will send Solita to a deaf school so that she can learn sign language and tell MC what happened to her.

I'm still not feeling Octavio or his friend. I still say that he is not hot enough to cause all of this trouble. But that's just my opinion. First of all he needs a haircut. Second of all, I'm suspicious of any galan who doesn't take off his shirt and show the goods. The only reason I started watching these shows is I saw Mario Cimarro in a shower scene in Gata Savaje (yes, he needed a haircut, but he was in the shower and at that time, I didn't notice). Also, I don't like Octavio's friend because well, he looks like he used a bucket of hair gel mixed with a half can of Crisco. Has anyone noticed that he hasn't removed his shirt yet either? Do they have 3 nipples? What is wrong with these bozos?

Luciafer still kills me and now there's Oblivious.

Cynderella

LOL! UA I had the same thought about Scarlett O'Hara: "As God is my witness I''ll never be hungry again." MC had the same look of determination on her face.

I'm with you Cynderella!
The guys need to lose their shirts, maybe some other clothing as well...
I'd appreciate complete episodes, wher they grabbed in a towel or such.

This must be the only TN I've seen where the hottie guys dressed up from head to toe. And the women as well for that matter. The male TN watchers must be complaining loudly all over the place.

Is Mrs. Mejía prude??

Great job, Latina! And congratulations on managing to post the recap, from now on it will only get easier.

I'm so happy we're done with this part of the story!

Cynderella, a naked galan makes it so much easier to suffer through all the stupidity, so the fact that Octavio the Great Oblivious One has never showed us the goods can only mean that we are supposed to truly hate him. Mission accomplished, producers!
Can't Octavio reminisce about MC while getting out of the shower or while he's unbottoning his shirt after a hard day of work?

Irisz, I also agree with you about the ladies; my husband hates TNS but even he can't look away when some sexy vixen is on screen, wearing a belt like skirt or showing off her assets for the entire world to see.

But the sexiest we've seen in CI so far were MC's shorter than short dresses (which were anything but sexy) and Lucia's hight cut gowns, designed for everyday wear.
What's up with that?

I a truly tired of seeing Maricruz in that same dress. It's overdue for her to go from Eliza Doolittle to Lady. That will be interesting although I doubt the writers will share most of the details with us.

Urban, I couldn't help myself to watch that part ahead online, and I hope it's no spoiler but we'll get to see it quite thoroughly, not just "disas desputes" or "semanas más tarde"... we see clouds fly by and there goes a lady from a riff-raff

What a marvel of a recap LatinaMD. One of the better done episodes out of this early going, and finally we may see some new wardrobe changes on someone besides Lucia.

I too was a bit amazed at the send-off. I do like the fact that the policia now know that MC was set up ( could this come up in the future) and all MC's besties were there to see her and Solita off. But what was with the barefeet..seriously? And the monkey got to board the bus? I mean, grateful the little bugger is safe and sound since he's my favorite character after the Voice, but boy "Monkey in the Big City" could turn into it's own TN.

THE CLOSEUP! I know we are suppose to get MC now hates the whole clan, but that closeup sort of cracked me up.

I do like what we saw in the previews. I'm hoping the girls find MC's papa fast and begin their new journey through hell soon. Face it, this is a TN, they oly went from frying pan of villians to another. But at least the roofs won't leak and we will lose that blasted white dress.

Daisy

Great recap LatinInMd!!

Just a guess but perhaps they keep things more covered because it has a 4pm slot in Mexico. It seems that they save the more ummm raunchy tns (Sotilegio anyone!) for primetime....but I'm not an expert.

Thanks Latina, finally part B, or should I say part V for vengeance, is going to start.

Why didn't the PI ask the police if they knew of MC? So Lucia puts an end to the search in that area for her. I guess it won't matter when MC arrives at the casino.

Now we know that MC can read, that's good.

Thanks , LatinainMD. I missed last night's episode. However, I'm glad to know that Eww did not find Solita,,,or Moctavio.....Nothing with a pulse is safe from that pervert. Cyn, I agree that it would be great for Solita to go to a school for the deaf. And maybe Moctavio could get some advice from the monkets at the big city zoo on navigating life in the DF. I do not care how hot OBLIVIOUS OCT is with or without a shirt. I like my galans kind, sweet , and protective and none of these adjectives describe Oct. And I am really tired of that sad, puppydog look he always has on his face. Basta. Stop pining over a girl you never stepped up to protect from your crazy family ..or the elements for that matter. If you had really loved her , you would have immediately removed her AND HER OLD ABUELO AND DEAF SISTER from that miserable , leaky shack. Only the monkey got to stay dry in your comfy bedroom on those occasions when you wanted a little oodd lovin' from your ittle savage. ~~~Susanlynn, tired of Oblivious's sniveling...man uo Little Boy

I've got to proofread because '''oodd'' was supposed to be ''good''''and ''ittle'' should be ''little''...sorry it's this d*** rubber keyboard'''and my lazy ways.

Thanks Latina in MD...had the headphones around my neck and was busy putting away laundry and loading the dishwasher during this episode. And a lot of this was just menacing music or shrieks so I wasn't sure what all was going on until I read your clever recap.

I think I'm on board now, though and looking forward to the next phase of the story.

I too winced a little when I saw Maricruz and Solita board the bus in bare feet, but one of the boys in my 5th grade class(in Lawrenceburg, TN) used to come to class in overalls and bare feet and nobody made a fuss over it. And we all got out early in May even though most of us didn't have to pick cotton. But Earl did. And he did that in bare feet too.

Tough little guy. As are Maricruz and Solita. On with vengeance!

Tk you LatinainMD, great recap

MC lost her entire wardrobe in the fire, so she is still in the white rag. Why does Solita have different clothes on? I think they are trying to drill rags to riches into our subconscious. What is in the box that MC is carrying, could it possibly be clothes?

Octavio is a barrel of fun on a date.

Thank you for translating. I got addicted to the show while at the laundromat. And though I couldn't understand what they said the intentions are clear. Glad to know I understand pretty much most of it but now I have better insight into everything. Thanks Again!

Variopinta...I think that SAnita collected some used clothes for Maricries and Solace. , so that is what is in the box.

Hi, Judyb....I am usually running around all day doing laundry and dishes. As Soto's as the sun sets, I get very lazy.....Susanlynn, sick of the rain which just started falling again after a whole day and night of the stuff

as sotos?????'''As soon as'''what demon is changing my words ????????

Thanks so much for this wonderful recap LatinaInMD, and for filling in for me. Haven't seen the episode yet, but I am so happy to read that MC and Solita are free, safe, and on their way out of that horrid town. Yay! Can't wait to see the two girls (and their monkey) in the big city.

With no shoes.

Latina---As you know by now, I am one oc CI's biggest fans and so I much appreciate your recap. I liked the way that you interwove some of your thoughts throughout. A
great job and a BIG thank you.

The gringo says that if that scene
with Maricruz at what was once her
home remembering her abuelo didn't bring a tear to your eyes last night, then I suppose that nothing will.

Mari is out of jail--Solita is found--the monkey is found--things
are looking up. YEAH!!!

The police captian didn't have a computer. Small town, not much money or modernity I suppose. I didn't sea a sink or toilet in tha jail either. QUE?

If I was Maricruz, as the bus was pulling away, I would have been yelling out the window---I DIDN'T
STEAL THE NECKLACE--I DIDN'T STEAL
IT--I DIDN"T STEAL IT!!!
You didn't commit the crime and knowing all along that it was a lying setup by your husband's family would be enough to cause one to seak counseling or mental help. Very traumatizing--but I know, no money.

This novela has just begun--and is still in it's early stages. I say--give Ana Brenda a Best Actress Oscar or the Mecican/Latin equivalent, she certainly has earned it.

IrisZ79---Glad that you are back on the CI team. Hope your house didn't have much damage, the flood was terrible over in Europe.

Cynderella---Do you REALLY like that greased back hair look? YUCK!
And what about that ever present 5:00 shadow? Another YUCK!

Octavio get a haircut? NO WAY---he looks great. I wish that I had had his looks. So Handsome.

People seem not to like The white dress. A man's view---Ana Brenda is that rare kind of woman who looks beautiful even in a white dress with holes and dirt on her face. She would also look beautiful dressed up in a classy evening gown---she's a goddess.

Carlos wondered if I would loose some of my enthusiasm when Maricruz moves on to the D.F.---Maybe a little. I REALLY like the rural, country, small town and rancho settings of Tamaulipas, so I will have to wait and see. However, I love Cinderella, and so
I say, BRING IT ON!!!
the gringo

Great recap, LatinaInMD. Well done and your aside remarks are perfection. My favorite line:

"... rarely in life will she find people “as noble as the Narvaez señores” – well, thank goodness for that!!!"

I was glad to see the girls (and Monktavio ....but didn't she change his name to Monito a while back?) get on the bus.

Big city! Here we come!

Carlos

gringo,

"You didn't commit the crime and knowing all along that it was a lying setup by your husband's family would be enough to cause one to seak counseling or mental help."

Maricruz in therapy. I dream of recapping that.

Carlos

So happy Maricruz can read, even if barely. That will make her learning phase go faster.

I also believe the inspector now "believes" because he was chilled by the look in MC's eyes as she said she would come back for vengeance on "everyone who hurt me, Inspector. Everyone." If he really believed her, he would go threaten the Narvaez monsters with prosecution for filing a false police report, even if just to scare them.

So MC is off to the big city with no documents? No one picked them up? If not, I hope Maria finds them and keeps them for her.

Carlos, yes, she changed the monkey's name to Monito the first time she hated Octavio.

@gringo - I too agree (seriously) that Ana Brenda better win a Best Actress award, but more for the Maria Alejandra persona than for the Maricruz one. I hope that's not a spoiler. The big novela award in Mexico is the "TVyNovelas Award". I've already told some friends that if she doesn't win that award for Best Actress I'm never, ever again going to buy that magazine. Yes, I'm most definitely a fan.

LatininMD - thanks so much for the great recap.

I love 'Luciafer' - perfect!

Karen - 'Oblivious' - hilarious.

Best moment for me was MC reuniting with Solita - very sweet. And a relief to know that Solita is once again under MC's protection.

Daisy - I too was LOL when the girls were leaving town in bare feet. Couldn't one of those good people donate some sandals. I can just imagine our two bumpkins getting off the bus in the big city in bare feet - with a monkey.

So what did Solita do with the box of docs? And who will find them? Hmm…..

Barbara

New title...Two GIrls with No Shoes and Their MOnkey (Also without Shoes).....DO you think it's too long ? How about...Big CIty, Small Monkey ?
