Corazon indomable #17, Tuesday, 06/04/13 A broken hearted heroine, villains plotting ten schemes at a time and a hero that is in time out for the moment

Yesterday MariCruz got her crazy on by shooting Octavio in the leg. He was on a horse, moving, so she must be a very good shot, since she hit him exactly where she intended to. And Octavio somehow realized she was his aggressor (if that is not true love, than I don’t know what is) and decided to cover for her. But every time he does something decent, his tiny brain reminds him that he’s an idiot, so he goes and does something unpleasant, like making love to her under false pretense. And then leaving her to Miguel’s will. And then staying fully clothed even when injured (Note to MariCruz: next time shoot him in the shoulder, or better yet, in the ribs area, watching Cristian de la Fuente get “cured” from his shot in AB was truly…riveting).

So, we have a heroine who could make a great villain/ stalker and a hero that is to dumb to live (almost literally). Let’s see what happens next.

I rearranged some scenes, for better fluidity.

Today
Jose Antonio is at MC’s hut, telling her that Octavio has left the ranch. MC refuses to believe this, since she knows he’s injured and he promised her he’d stay. When she finally realizes that JA is telling the truth, she starts to cry and scream. She doesn’t understand what happened, she was just with him and they were ok, he was so nice to her. JA is losing his temper in front of her reluctance to believe him and he’s being kind of harsh cruel when he tells her that Octavio never loved her, he just had his fun and then left, like all rich guys do (bitter much, JA?).

Somewhere on a country road, Octavio and Ewsebio stop the car. Ewsebio helps with the luggage, while Octavio explains that his plane for Mexico only leaves the next day and he’ll remain at what appears to be a halt on the road. He warns Ewsebio that for no reason should he tell MC where he is and asks him to give his brother and envelope.
But later on we find out he was not waiting for the next day flight, because a private plane is flying him to a state hospital, for urgent care - so he has money for this, but he couldn’t afford to buy MC some clothes?  Eduardo is there, too, very worried about what happened, so I guess he could be doing the paying?

Still with JA, MC insists that if Octavio left, it was only to go get money for their house – she is ugly crying and whining until she hears a horn, but it’s not her beloved, it’s Ewsebio, letting her know that he drove Octavio for part of his trip to Mexico and now that she’s all alone, she has no clue what will come her way. He is kind of hinting to some sexual activities (barf), but all he says is that she is not to set foot at the ranch ever again.
MC wants to punch him, finally asks both JA and Ewsebio to leave, because they are both evil, just like the entire Narvaez family, EXCEPT for Octavio, who has always been good to her (eye roll here); but, if he truly abandoned her, she will hate him, too. So, there is that....
The two men leave and MC runs inside the hut, where poor Solita is crying in a corner, totally terrified since she’d seen Ewsebio arrive. MC assumes Solita is crying for her sake and tries to console her.

At the ranch, Lucia and Esther are happy that
  1. Octavio is gone
  2. they won’t give anymore food to MC
  3. there is a Sale at the local pueblo mall (ok, they don’t actually say that)
Miguel is with them, too, and appears to be in agreement with the women, but he did give his palabra de hombre to his brother, right? Right?

MC and Abuelo are near the hut, she wants to go to the ranch, she is crying and screaming and making a scene; finally Abuelo manages to calm her down, asks her to have dignity, not go back to the place where she was treated so badly. But MC is whine, whine, she’s gonna die if she doesn’t see her Octavio. Exasperated, Abuelo mentions her mother, who went completely nuts for a man, too; neither cared/ cares about how much what they do affects him, too. (Gooooood point, he’s had to live with the consequences of his daughter’s decision - not wanting her rich husband’s help - and now he is setting up to do the same with his grand-daughter. The poor man should be pretty tired of all this men trouble that his female relatives bring to his house.)

Back at the hospital, the doctor tells Eduardo that Octavio needs to go into surgery immediately, or else he could lose his leg because of the infection…oh, yeah, and the wound came from a gun shot. When confronting Octavio with this news, he admits that MC shot him to keep him from leaving her (yes, this is our heroine, the one we are supposed to root for).

The next day Lucia and Miguel talk about … The house chores? No…. The financial problems they have? No…. Their unborn baby? Wrong again. They talk about MC, because that is all they seem to care about. Miguel is more a fan of the slow process of annihilation, but Lucia wants the basura to be destroyed quickly, so when Miguel leaves, her pretty curly head starts plotting some alternative ways of destroying MC.

Miguel asks Ewsebio to go to MC’s hut and take away the cow and the calf; Ewsebio, employer of the year, hurries to obey the order with the greatest pleasure. He takes the two animals, while Abuelo Ramiro and MC try to fight him…long story short, the circus is complete, up until Abuelo tries to use his rifle against Ewsebio and sees there are no more bullets. Why, Abuelo, I used the last one, MC willingly explains (and again, I have to notice how good of a shot she was, instead of stealing food, she should have put this skill to use, channeling her inner Katniss).

At the hospital, the operation seems to have turned out fine and now Octavio is in his room, talking to Ed, warning him not to tell Miguel about his condition. Ed says that he won’t be able to work with a wounded leg for at least a few weeks. But Octavio is desperate for money, he promised her house to MC and also, he has to send money to Miguel. No can do, Ed says, you need your rest. And don’t worry, I brought you a lady friend, Jacqui (sp?) to keep you company – she is young, she wants to have fun, the no string attached kind of girl. (Our Ed is quite the wingman, bringing his pal a woman on his hospital bed and all…isn’t he busy piloting or something?) Octavio doesn’t seem pleased with the idea, he still feels a lot of remorse for what he did to MC.

Now in her room, Lucia is talking to herself about how she’ll cook up her own plan to make MC disappear before her baby is born. Enter Maria, telling her she took food to MC because patron Octavio asked her to. Lucia is displeased, but she forces herself to act civil to the older woman (I wonder why, though?). She tells Maria that she is too old to make that trip every day, MC should come for food on her own; she doesn’t hate that poor girl, she wants to help her. Octavio will get a divorce anyway and MC will find another man, too, so she can just come for the food, nothing will happen to her.

Maria doesn’t buy any of the c*** Lucia is selling, but in the next scene we see MC, sprinting to the house, like a deer with no care in the world. In the kitchen we shortly see Santa before she goes away (and I have to wonder how does she cook with all that hair loose like that? I bet that is why MC didn’t like the food.). MC can’t believe she can come every day for food, Maria warns her not to trust in this proof of goodwill to much.
Enter Lucia, in one of her usual prom dresses, all sweetness and deviousness – we want to be charitable with you, she says, we don’t want you to starve, we’ll give you the leftovers that are usually reserved for the pigs, even if pigs are more useful than you, anyway – THIS is Lucia being nice. MC asks about the house Octavio promised her, Lucia “hopes” her BIL will keep his promise and by the time that happens, MC can come for food whenever she wants.
Alone, Lucia decides that she’ll make MC trust her and then she’ll make her move.

Miguel remembers a talk on the phone with Octavio, about what he should do with the papers he sent through Ewsebio for MC’s land.
Lucia and Ester are catching up on maldades when Miguel comes to join them, opens the envelope with the official paper and tears it in front of them. So much for being a man of your word, Miguel… Anyway, happiness all around for our trio of terribles; even if Octavio comes back, MC will be long gone. And that is what Octavio deserves for acting like a teenager.

Maria and Ramiro talk about MC’s situation, wonder if Octavio will ever come back. Ramiro is worried about what will happen with the girls when he’s no longer with them, especially since MC is pregnant (isn’t it nice that he knows, Maria knows, but neither thinks about sharing this piece of info with the actual pregnant girl?).

Back with Lucia, we are at the fashion hour (yes, I know, every hour is fashion hour with her, but this is special). She starts taking out some old dresses from her closet, tells Awfelia to give them to MC. At first Awfelia is jealous and upset, but then Lucia explains this is part of her plan and that she should just be patient.

MC is sleeping and dreaming that Octavio has come back and he’ll never leave her again, because he loves her. They are kissing in the middle of the lake (which seems kind of unnecessary, because they could have done it just as romantically on dry land). Because MC has decided to doze off on an unstable bridge she almost falls in the water when she wakes up, but she’s happy that she can at least have Octavio in her sleep (Hey, I’d be happy to have him in my dreams, too, but since she’s already had the real deal this feels like a downsize to me).

Ewsebio is looking at Solita, wants to abuse her again, but she’s never alone. Oh, darn!

At the hospital, Octavio has left the bed, he is now using crutches; he talks with Ed about moving to a more modest hospital, or better yet, leave altogether and stay in a cheap hotel. Ed offers to pay, Octavio refuses.

MC comes to the ranch again (already finished the food?), they tell her to go search for Lucia because she’s gonna give her some clothes. So, off she goes into Lucia’s room. Esther is there, too, now, and there are also some jewels spread on the bed (they are totally setting her up for a robbery!)
Both viboras compliment MC on being so pretty and clean, show her the bed filled with dresses and jewelry, MC can’t believe her eyes. Lucia says that she feels pity toward MC, so she wants to help her, because Octavio has turned her into a victim (that much we can agree on, Lucia).

In the meantime Miguel is at the police station, accusing MC of having shot his brother.

Tomorrow we get to see Octavio in his pilot uniform. He could use a comb, though.

thanks,Adriana, for that quick and clever recap. Awesome analysis .Lucia definitely has too much time on her carefully manicured talons. She always looks like she's all dressed up with no place to go. Having grown up surrounded by relatives and friends who were hunters, I must say that Abuelo looks like he knows how to hold and aim a rifle unlike MC who looked like she was pointing a broom when she ''shot'' JR...I mean Octavio. And I hope that karma has something deliciously awful in store for Ewww ...besides Awfelia.

Muchas gracias Adriana! We go from one great recap right to another.

I so want Maricruz to wise up to Lucia's game before she falls into the trap she's setting. But I guess we wouldn't have the rest of the story if Maricruz weren't completely broken out of her naiveté by being exposed to the evilness of others.

I didn't like how she said to JA that only Octavio had only ever been good to her, and accused him of being as rotten as all the rest. She's going to need as many friends as she can get, so she better not burn any bridges.

Speaking of bridges...not very smart to fall asleep/daydream on narrow, rickety suspension bridge above a river.

I hope Octavio uses this time out in the hospital to really think about how stupid he has been with this whole MC thing.

Adriana, such an excellent and entertaining recap!

I especially liked your descriptions of Ed the eager wingman, MC on the rickety brige with her downsized dream guy, and the wise elders failing to explain pregancy symptons to MC.

So much for Miguel's promises to Tav and Tav's belief that Mig will act like a gentleman.

It's getting more difficult to tolerate MC's extreme naivete, Tav's boorish, brainless buffonery and the cruelty of the two witches. I guess the behavior baseline is set so low to give room for growth/retribution. We can only hope for some change and relief soon!

Awesome recap, Adriana. I especially loved the "channeling her inner Katniss" line. I truly laughes out loud and nearly woke up my sleeping child.

The first thing MC should do after she (hopefully) buys the ranch and kicks everyone out on the street is to rename all the trashcans "Lucias".

I've had just about enough of Lucia calling people basura. She needs to go live in the shack for a bit.

Thanks a bunch Adriana!

I'm afraid MC won't be the wiser for now and she'll be overpowered by the viboras bigtime. If they cannot send her to the carcel for shooting her husband they gonna set her up as a thief.
She should find it curious Lucia beeing so nice to her all of a sudden.

And hope to GOD that Ewwwsebio do not get his paws on Solita ever again, stay with or close to somebody ALL THE TIME!!

By the way I missed it on MC-s mother's story.
Why did she left the nice and über rich husband and went to live at the dump with a small baby? What was the problem?
Why the papi do not know their adress or contact when they used to send letters to each other?
How could she get a new birth certificate for MC with a different name? It's not like you go to the register office and ask for it without providing the documentation you got at the hospital as evidence of the birth and such.

Irisz- MC's mom left Alejandro because she thought he had cheated on her. Alejandro has denied this, and I believe him. I bet it was one of the blonde sisters who lied to her, or produced some false evidence. In any case, it seems that she was just as much of a hothead and drama queen as MC, and didn't give the guy a chance to explain. Then she went back to her hut to condemn her daughter to a life of poverty, picked up another poor abandoned child and condemned her to a life of poverty (Solita), and then selfishly laid down to die because she couldn't get over her (self-induced) broken heart. Pretty damn selfish, I think.

As for the birth certificate, in rural areas in countries I've been in, it's not expected that the woman will have a baby in a hospital/clininc, and if they have the baby at home they often don't get to the registrar's office for a few months. Then they present their child and say when s/he were born and the name, etc., to get the baby registered. I don't think it would have been that difficult.

My question is, did they register Solita after they found her? Or does she not have a birth certificate at all? That's more of a problem than MC having two.

There is no reason that I can see why Abuelo doesn't have Alejandro's contact info, or Alejandro can't easily find them, if there had been letters sent. I’m still waiting for a good explanation for this.

Great recap. It such a good beginning of my day - to read recaps here.

Vivi in DC, Abuelo has letters from Alejandro. So he knows very well where her father lives. But he still hesitating to write him or not.
And I still can't believe why Octavio left everything on his brother and his wife. He knew, that they hate her, so WHY????
Alegria

Thanks for this recap, Adriana.

I don't know how much more of this one I can endure. It is painful to see Maricruz' ridiculous naivete, her living conditions, and the ever-present danger to them from the Lucias and Ewwsebios of this world. Octavio is a total jerk who does not deserve redemption for his actions.

If I were writing this I would jump right here to Maricruz' education and have her divorce Octavio and drop his butt in the mud. She should be able to leave the shack in the past and be with someone who doesn't have to know that about her.

Another story behind the screen.

Alegria

Alegria- Yep. I know Abuelo has the letters. That's why it's confusing that sometimes he acts as if he doesn't know how to get in touch with Alejandro, even if he broke his promise to his dead daughter, and why it's confusing that Alejandro also makes it seem like he has no idea how to find them. Just start with where you send the letters dude! If Abuelo is SO worried about what will happen to (pregnant) MC and Solita when he dies (which he believes will be soon), then he would/should immediately set about writing a letter to MC's rich daddy. They are just making this too difficult when it would be so easy.

I think, that he received last letter 15 years ago or even more. So Alejandro could be dead or not interesting in daughter now. So it will be one more disappointment for Mari. But I realy dont know, he could try to write him before saying anything to her.
Alegria

Too bad that Ale is very interested in meeting his daughter, but Abuelo doesn't know that.

Thanks Adriana...like Latina I loved "channeling her inner Katniss". So fun when one can bring other stories and personages into the mix for color.

Just watched the first 15 minutes of this (mostly Maricruz screaming) and decided I could make more headway on my Spanish reading a book en español. But I love the recapping team so I'll keep checking in. You all are doing a great job on a (so far) miserable story.

Adriana, this was wonderful. I love your " there is a Sale at the local pueblo mall (ok, they don’t actually say that)". Must be a maxi-dress sale!!

Boy I have some catching up to do....maybe, on watching this show. I haven't been able to get in the last few episodes, but frankly, reading all the great recaps, I'm not so sure I need to. Seems, except for a few happenings, it's the same old same old. And I really really really don't need to watch or hear MC endlessly screaming and crying. Bless poor Solita, she's the one who would truly deserve to be hysterical and noone has a clue!

I just wish they would do whatever, stop dragging all this setup portion out and fast forward. All these endless conversations about MC are just stupid. If Miguel and company put haldf the effort into running the place as they do whining and plotting how much they hate her, maybe they would be making some money.

Daisy

I agree , Daisy. Someone should pick those oranges .

This whole situation just confusing... papi must have known where aube & mami lived, they must have met, known each other for a while, courted, lived together - why didn't he go after his family immediately at the first place?
Why let 20 years go by?

How selfish a mother can be and condemn her child to such life when she have a chance for everything - good life, clothes, food, education, future?
I do not mind what the mother dis, she could lay down and die (what a ridiculous notion) let her do it, but any mother I know wants the best for her child(ren) not the hardships of life.

When mami died, aube must have let papi know, he knows it somehow, why didn't he got the child - OK mami did not want it, but papi could have proved it somehow to the authorities, couldn't he?

This whole mess is like too little too late on everybodys side.

Thanks Adriana! Thanks for putting life into this rather boring episode.

Daisy, I agree with you. Enough is enough...they need to move on to the next stage already.

I was so disappointed in Miguel...for a minute there I thought he was actually gonna give the papers to MC because he looked rather conscious burdened. I do not get why he hates Octavio so much...maybe its the greed and he does not want to share the ranch.

It was funny when abuelo realized that MC was pregnant but it is NOT funny that he won't clue MC in. I guess he will conveniently tell her when she is in "I hate Octavio" mode so she will hide the baby from him.

You are completely right Daisy, the total orange plantation crop will go rotting on the trees, they could make a decent income out of it if they pick and sell it instead of sitting on the couch plotting against poor MC.

Irisz- I don't think Alejandro knows she's dead. I missed a few episodes, so maybe someone else can say if he ever got that info. I think he just accepts that his marriage is over (did they ever divorce?), but wants to see his daughter. Once again, there is no good reason why he couldn't make the trip to Tamaulipas and search every town and shack until he found them in all these years. But maybe at some point they'll provide a reason. Maybe he was in a hospital bed for 16 years, and just now is getting back into search mode. I really don't know. Maybe our beanies need to be tightened? :)

Glad you're all enjoying the recap, I'm constantly rolling my eyes or banging my head to the proverbial wall while watching.

Irisz, the other day you were mentioning how you're afraid you'll forget all your english because there is no place where you can speak it. What I do (english is not my first language, either)is write a lot (a novel, these recaps), read, watch plenty of american tv series... For the speaking part it's harder, but what I do is read out loud what I write (for my novel) - if I hear the words I realize if the grammar is correct and it helps me with the language, too.
As for MC's mother, I guess we're supposed to just go with it... Vivi explained it very well, but considering the material we have, I don't think we should try to use logic with this TN.

JudyB, I learned spanish when I was very young by watching TNS; now I don't need the cc anymore, sometimes I think they are wrong, anyway :)), but having an interesting story helps a lot, you forget you're trying to learn something...Sadly, CI doesn't seem the best solution.

Daisy, I think if you follow the recaps and watch when you can, you're fine; in case something major happens, you'll know and there is always the Internet to catch up.

At this point I'm only watching for the recaps, because this has got to be one of the most idiotic tns I've ever seen. We're all hoping things change when MC leaves, but I'm afraid we're just setting ourselves up for a bigger fall. The plot is contrived, the dialogues are a joke, the characters are unsufferable for one reason or another...Will the writers get a magic pen once MC goes from rags to riches? They'll still be the same people.

Vivi, I concluded that he knows because he doesn't look for wife + child only for the child.

Now that Lucia gave clothes and jewellery for MC could the previously asked mud scene be somewhere near, do you think?
Maybe todays episode? Just wondering.

By the way I wanted to ask, what is a beanie?
I saw it mentioned before but I do not understand it here, and google gives me the translation as "seamed cap", "head-hugging brimless cap with or without a visor" - what is the meaning of it here, I don't see the relevance?

Adriana~~May I ask what your native language is ? The Internet has made the world so small. Right now, I am waiting for my schedule for tutoring someone from Brazil who is coming here in July. The schedule is being sent to me by our ESL secretary who happens to also be from Brazil but is currently in China !!!! I encourage my ESL students to listen to American music and watch American TV and movies.

Vivi in DC, yes, Alejandro still thinks, that Mari's mother is alive. I guess he said to Raiza, that his daughter and her mom are always welcome in his home.

As for the story, CI is moving realy fast. Only 17 episodes, but our protagonistas are already married and our heroine is pregnant. I think it's a very fast start.
Alegria

Gracias Adriana Noel

They showed Lucia giving Maricruz a diamond necklace weeks ago in the intros, I have been waiting for the actual scene. Pobre MC, she will be in jail for stealing. Will there be food? Shall I wear the diamond necklace with the green rag or the white rag?

This TN gets dumber & dumber.

Can we go any lower than 0 brain cells. Oct trusts Miguel after he said the most awful things about & in front of MC. He knows Lucia has treated her badly. !Qué imbécil!

Sometimes the scenes in the preview never appear in the novela. At least that was the case in Alborada.

Hola everybody. Haven't watched the episode (in fact, I may not need to now), but have read and thoroughly enjoyed the recap. Seriously, Adriana Noel, you had pretty poor material to start with, so you made a silk purse out of a sow's ear. Keep Writing, is all I can say. And thank you.

To those watching MC riveted to their seats, as expectations rise, waiting for the Big Change to occur, I hope you will not be disappointed. It would just be like a tn (or this one), to give you the build up. You see this raggamuffin go into a palatial house with Alejandro, look around in wonderment and then, and then, clouds zoom by, ocean waves rise and fall, the moon goes through its phases, the hands of time go around and around the face of a clock and, and, we see the message, años despues. Voilà, MC emerges as a finished product.

We are denied all the joy of watching the transformation taking place. Hope that isn't going to happen here. But, just be prepared.

This is great, Adriana. You too have managed to snare the depth and gravity of this TN. My favorite line captures perfectly my favorite character:

"...she says, we don’t want you to starve, we’ll give you the leftovers that are usually reserved for the pigs, even if pigs are more useful than you, anyway – THIS is Lucia being nice."

I'm hoping for a miraculous transformation, but I don't think that she is the one it is scheduled for.

Carlos

Adriana, Thank you for a stellar recap. You had me at the first as I giggled over your thoughts for preferred body locations of our galans' injuries.

"So, we have a heroine who could make a great villain/ stalker and a hero that is to dumb to live (almost literally)."
Pretty true but against the best reasons given by most commenters, I'm still enjoying this TN (so far).

Vivi, re: MC's mom "selfishly laid down to die because she couldn't get over her (self-induced) broken heart." I agree. And abuelo should have broken his promise not to contact Alejandro years ago.

Kelly, "The first thing MC should do after she (hopefully) buys the ranch and kicks everyone out on the street is to rename all the trashcans "Lucias". " LOL!

You know Anita, at this point I don't think I would mind the EUREKA moment at all and just have the new and improved MC and future plot. This has been down-right agonizing and frankly the point being driven home with here could have been done in half the episodes allotted. This certainly isn't Abismo where we all loved those kids and there was some great plot lines in the early going. (Frankly, I think we enjoyed the kids more than the adults at times...).

Plus I want more Cesar as my guess is since he's not a well man, he won't last thru the whole TN.

Daisy

Thanks Adrianna for the recap.

"Maricruz got her crazy on"...cute

I like this show, but I don't like the villains because all they do is make plots against MC. It's like they have nothing else to do. Even the villains with no dog in the fight plot against MC. Eusebio hates MC...why? His gf hates MC...why? All of them just sit around plotting about MC. It's crazy. On Abismo, Gambino went to work everyday and in his spare time, he violated women and beat up old men. He drank at the bar. What I'm trying to say is that he had other interests besides torturing Damien. Even the orange chick, had several different affairs, she'd go shopping and visit neighbors. These people do NOTHING!

OK, I know that she was dreaming, but couldn't Octavio take his shirt off ONCE? I haven't seen all of the episodes, but the guy always has his clothes on...even in her dreams.

Just been reading the recaps and comments. Sometimes I'll watch a scene or two after reading the recap--especially ones with Alejandro. I've been waiting for the transformation. And then I read this very astute comment from Adriana "Will the writers get a magic pen once MC goes from rags to riches? They'll still be the same people." Wow! I didn't even think of that.

Without going into spoiler territory, believe it or not the writers will have "flashes of brilliance" in some future episodes, especially in the dialogues, which are much improved (in future episodes) over the Marimar version.

Cyn~~~~~I baiiled on Pepto Abismo early on, but ypu're making me wish that i hadn,t. Good point about these villains needing more hobbies and interests. I am anxious to hear any suggestions that you have for pastimes that would make them more wellrounded evil folks. The one that immediately comes to my mind is......PICK THE D*** ORANGES.

Thank you Adriana. I loved your recap. trio of terribles--good one

So many complaints. I haven't watched a novela yet that made sense. If things went along perfectly, we wouldn't have much of a story.

Susanlynn---Liked your first comment.

Did Evil Eyes really say to the country goddess that we will give you what was left for the pigs?

I don't understand why there is so much "class hate" despising of the lower or less fortunate people in the Latin American countries. That is so wrong.

Kelly---Name the trashcans Lucias?
Great idea.

Yes I admit it, I didn't see Miguel
as all that bad/hateful. I thought that he was just a whipped puppy trying to stay on Evil Eyes good side but last night he showed his true self. He deserves Evil Eyes.

And yes, It looks like the sweet goddess is being set up for a robbery charge.

CeCe---Boring episode? Move on to the next chapter? Why not just start at the end? I think things are moving along nicely.

Anita---ITA. Let the change take place slowy and I will enjoy every minute of it along the way.

Irisz79---Another way we Americans refer to a beanie is a "thinking cap." When we say, put on your beanie [thinging hat/cap] it just means that it's time to start thinking. It's just nothing more than a crazy American expression.
the gringo

AdrianaNoel,
I've been appreciating your clever recaps for months now over on Pasion Prohibida, and what can I say? This was stellar. I'll echo Anita, "keep on writing!" Thanks for sharing your talents.
Clara

Susanlynn, Lucia and Ester could go shopping for her baby.

Their are other people in the world to torture. What about the servants?

Couldn't Lucia nag her husband about getting some things done around the house? Geez!

susanlynn - ROFLOL

talk, plan, shop for the baby, manage the household, wisit neighbors, take up teaching in the community house for the pobre uneducated class you despise so much, think up some alternative sources of income, take up some correspondence courses on agriculture and farming maybe management ??!, set up a orange processing plant make and sell orgainc orange juice :)

Cyn and Irisz...WOw..you people are problem solvers..what brainstorming...YOu both need to be in think tanks at major companies or in R andD. THe first suggestion that came to my mind ...besides picking the oranges..which is always on my mind...is GET IPADS. I have used up ..wasted??...hours since I got mine. IPads might even help them with their various and sundry evil doings. '''taking photos of the hapless MC, sending each other photos ofher in various stages of griminess.etc. 'Susanlynn,'''' keeping ''busy'' and thus out of evilness

Here's another thought-provoking question to ponder...Do you think that Lucia wears maxidresses for the same reason Vikki doesn't wear capris on picnics ? I think that if I were married to Miguel, I'd wear capris ALL the time...daY AND NIGHT '''ALL THE TIME...ALWAYS...PARA SIEMPRE'.

Just happened to think, Miguel tore up the papers giving land to Maricruz, but deeding property is public record. Of course you would have to know about it to search for it. But just because he tore up the papers doesn't mean she doesn't own it. That might be of use later, when the larvae turns into a mariposa.

Did the imbécil deed his full share to MC or just a portion?

Octavio left her a portion, of course. He is not so gentle to leave her all his part
The problem is that Lucia wants to kick out Mari and her family. As a wife of Octavio she has rights. Ok, now she is soo naive. But if tomorrow she decides to use all her rights, what could Miguel and Lucia do? And she can be the reason, why Octavio can return one day.
Alegria

If only Maricruz understood her rights. It's gonna happen!

Susanlynn, I'm from Romania, but now I live in France.

Anita, I use writing as a way to stay connected to the language; forgetting is very easy, especially if nobody around you speaks English.

Clara, I love recapping Pasion Prohibida, or at least I did before it became so difficult to watch. But that will be over soon...no worries, plenty of tns left.

And completely off topic, but I have to share this with someone and I think all of you are the best audience: I just watched the first episode of Mentir para vivir and I LOVED IT. Now that is a show that is worth recapping, I hope they keep it up.

Adriana...How many languages do you speak? I have always dreamed of going to two places...France and Hawaii. I haven't gotten to either..yet...but my daughter has been to both. In fact , she got engaged in Paris.

Susanlynn, I speak 4 languages, but to different degrees.
My maternal language, English and Frnech from school and Spanish from tns.

I dream of going to Hawaii, too, but it's so far away for me. France is beautiful, I live near Paris, which is a pretty great city, but once you get used to it, the magic is not the same anymore.

Adriana...WOw...4 languages..fantastique..I can understand what you mean about the reality of Paris. Im sure it has all the problems of any big city. My daughter worked in NYC and then moved to Toronto. I guess Paris became a dream when I studied French in high school..so romantic when you a 16....like Hawaii.

Irisz- To go deeper about the telenovela beanie reference, yes, it's a type of hat, as described. But it is also an inside joke here on Caray Caray. When the plot makes no sense and our brains start working to hard to find the logic, causing all kinds of brain pain, we say we need to put on our beanie to block out those logical thoughts. When we put on our beanies, we can accept all manner of nonsense from our tns. Sometimes the plot gets so silly, that we need an extra strength beanie, lined with various metals. When a tn requires minimal use of beanies (e.g. Amor Bravio) that is a good (and rare) thing. Sometimes some people's beanies explode from overuse. This tn is very beanie-worthy.

In addition, one of our regular commenters, Emilia in VA, actually crochets winter hats/beanies, and has sent a number of us custom-made, lovely winter beanies. Some of us have used pics of ourselves wearing these Emilia beanies as our avatars.

VIvi...You would be a great teacher because you are so good at explaining things. I never knew that Emilia crocheted beanies. That is a riot !! I haven't seen MIke or Emilia here lately. I remember that they were big train travelers. SO many interesting folks here at Caraycaray.

Susanlynn- Emilia and Mike sometimes pop up, but they have been busy with their cute granddaughter and have less time to play with us here. :)

We know how Lucia is, she would confide in a mere servant, Awfelia????? I really doubt it except in Mrs. Mejia's endless cliches.
