Carlos- The shopping trip is in the bullets along with the shopgirl's thoughts. I think you skipped over it. Yes, she has very different thoughts on what Mari should do than Sara does.

Those big gold vases do look familiar.

Missed parts last night switching channels to check radar and reports with impending storms. Did catch the shopping trip--gees how very Pretty Woman complete with jerky clerk and the Pygmalion moments with MC and Prof. Higgins , errr I mean Alejandro. Can't wait for our "Rain in Spain" moment.

Well, at least Tav and MC didn't immediately jump to the conclusion that it was their "better" half that is staying there. I would have lost it then. But with those previews---is this a way to eliminate said bebe?

And someone...please take some time and teach Solita how to read and write. Or find her somewhere that can be done. Oh, the wonders that will do, and what she can explain finally!! I hate seeing her just left alone all day with nothing really to do for days on end. Gees, I'd be depressed too.
 

Daisynjay- I'm hoping one of the first things Alejandro will do is enroll Solita in a school for the deaf when he meets her. I feel so sad for the poor girl, not being able to communicate what happened to her-- the rape, the fire/arson, and witnessing her grandfather's death. She needs to be seeing a psychologist, but she can't express her feelings and thoughts, even if she had access to one.
 

Vivi, somehow I skipped right past that paragraph.

I'm already liking the father/daughter chemistry between father/daughter. I was annoyed at the shopgirl and Serafina for thinking badly of the old wheezer.Isn't it curious that Alejandro has the same voice, the same smile, the same hearty laugh as Dionysio(AB) and yet they seem to be polar opposites?

Thanks,Vivi. Ellie, speedy recovery. I have to smile watching Mari and her papa interact...very sweet. I hope that Solita joins Mari at the mansion soon. By the way, Mari and Solita are half sisters. Do we know who Solita's dad is ? That shopping spree wasn't much of a spree. Sweet Mari does not want to take advantage of anyone..an admirable quality. I have mixed feelings about Oct. He is trying to make money for a house for Mari and I think that he does love her ,in his own weird way, but he is very dim. I Like my galans smart, so ...next....who's in the bullpen warming up ?
 

I realize he's a nice guy, but shouldn't the employment agency guy have questioned Alejandro when he asked for an "attractive, young helper girl, naive is ok"? If he doesn't want people thinking he's a dirty old man, he shouldn't act like one.

I was hoping she'd break those vases. He neds new ones.

Carlos- I so love it when CE gets to use that lovely voice and warm laugh as a good character. I think he and SN would have had a great playful chemistry, if he weren't playing an old lecher trying to get into her pants. In this case, since he isn't an old lecher trying to get into AB/MC's pants, I can appreciate the great chemistry the two actors and characters have. I was annoyed at the shopgirl and Sara too for trying so hard to convince MC of this. But I'm glad MC went with her instincts and didn't listen to them.
 

Susanlynn- Mari and Solita aren't related by blood at all. Gramps and Mari's mom (Lupita) found Solita. They have no idea who her mom or dad are.

Very glad to see that Maricruz didn't waver when both the shopgirl and the sweet landlady tried to convince her that Alejandro's intent was something underhanded.

Our other naieve young girl, selling cigarettes, WAS dealing with a lech. And, as played, Carola seems to be semi-good....or at least "laid back", whereas Raiza (sp?) seems to be an out and out bitch.
 

And jeez...these "prove you're not a robot" letters are ridiculously hard to read!

We had really bad weather on Tuesday that affected my internet service. I should have seen Ellie's email on my iPhone, but my cell phone company always piggybacks on my home's internet service and wasn't updating my emails on my iPhone. Long story short, that's why I didn't notice Ellie's email until this morning and that she only sent it to me, instead of the whole recap group, otherwise I would have acted sooner.

One little correction, Vivi - Maricruz did not request money from Daddy Warbucks. He asked if she was going to pick up her belongings, and she said she didn't really have much. He offered to give her advance pay, but she didn't want to spend her pay on herself because she would need it for rent, etc. So at that point Daddy Warbucks said he would buy her the clothes himself.

I noticed in the airport how much MC & Solita have the same body type. Their legs are almost identical as we saw them from the back walking arm in arm.
 

Thanks for clearing that up for me, Vivi. Have I ever told you that one of my favorite cousins names is VIvi (Vivian) and one of my fav students was Viviana ? Isn't it a shame that in today's world, an older man being kind to a young girl is suspect of bad intentions. We are all so wary of strangers...for good reason. Well, I hope that AL discovers that Mc is his daughter very soon so that the girls can move into the mansion and start the new , improved chapter of their lives.

WOW! What a meeting with Papa Voice
last night. It was riviting, nearly
spellbinding for me. She had the door shut in her face the first time, so Mari goes around to the back. I had to ask myself, no gates
no alarm? Where was security--on coffee break? Then I came to my senses and realized that this is a novela and besides, Maricruz was destined to meet her father. I loved it. It was by far the best moment of last night's episode.

It has already been mentioned but I too liked the part when Mari was cleaning the vases--Alejandro was on pins and needles. I was laughing
what a hoot. Maricrez probably never saw vases like thoes. She was really moving them around. It was too funny.

And yes the cigarette girl, I was starting to worry about her. Quasimoto didn't like it one bit.

Raiza is going to be trouble in the future for sure.

I hope that solita gets to go to the mansion. It must be torture sitting in that room all day--and even if she goes out, she can't communicate. What will become of Monito? Will Alejandro want a monkey running around the mansion breaking expensive things?

OH NO! an accident tonight. Will Octavio run to Mari's side? as usual, I'm counting the hours and the minutes untill 7:00 for the next chapter in the life of Maricruz.

It was a fun capitulo, loved MC and papi Ale together. The dusting scene was hilarious. I like CE so much better in good characters than bad, but he plays both very well, actually I think he plays anything excellent. LOUURVE his voice, I could listen to it ALL day.
Also, it was good that the first meet and the call fo the blood scene was not over the top, just -hey you look familiar but anyways you're a nice girl-. They got on as a house on fire instantly.
Hopefully papi ale brisgs solita to the house ASAP.

@Gringo- thanks for your words the other day, everyting is OK, my family is out of danger, and the situation was well under control.

@Alegria, if you read this, does the google translate thing with the subs works for you in the last couple of days?
Recently I get the page it opens as before I choose the CC-s but they are no show.. :(

I so agree with what you said about MC, Vivi. I do like her better this way, where she isn't crying all the time and is really enjoying herself. I like too her dynamic with Daddy Warbucks and I too had to laugh at him showing her how to "properly" dust, lol.

I too feel bad for poor Solita, alone day after day. I too want her to be enrolled in a school for the deaf, so she can finally tell what happened to her. I too feel she needs a therapist.

I had to laugh at Serafina telling Tav and Maricruz about them and not figuring out it couldn't possibly be someone they know, lol.

I too am bothered by everyone thinking that Daddy Warbucks is a dirty old man, but these people have lived in the Big City all these years and go on the cynical view of life. Not like Mari who believes the good in people, until and unless they mess her over.

I wonder if Alejandro knows that Raiza is pimping out the cigarette girls at his place of bidness? I don't think he'd like that much. And who gets the money for that? Probably Raiza with a cut going to Carolla maybe? I hope Alejandro puts a stop to that! Arecely is much like poor Mari and I really hate what Raiza is doing!

My, that shop girl sure was opinionated with a customer. Glad MC wasn't swayed by her thinking.

I'm glad Arecely has Theo to protect her from the blonde, but sadly I don't think he has much clout. Agree with you gringo, looks like Arecely has trouble ahead that's called Raiza & old lechers. I'm still curious at what future role she is to play in this tn.

Agree with ya'll about solita. Can't imagine having her experiences & having nobody able to understand what ails her.

Another minor detail is that Miguel is being wish-washy again and now feeling bad about the money that belongs to MC (Luciafer wants him to save it or use it for the ranch). He also really wants to respond to Octavio but his dear wife Luciafer prevents him from doing so saying that she will take care of it herself. I do not think they disclosed the lies that are probably filled in that letter.

If you ask me I think Lucia's plan is pretty stupid. If they keep all the money that Octavio sends them if he ever goes back he will find out pretty quickly about them hording the money to themselves and also that MC is no longer around. He will not be a happy camper when he finds out that all his hard earned money is being wasted on their capriciousness. There are both pretty short sighted if you ask me...or maybe it just me.

It seems that the actress playing Raisa always plays a villain. Has anyone ever seen play a good girl ? She can really bring the nasty.

This actress that plays Raiza did play a kinda of bitchy character in Destilando Amor, she was the girlfriend of Meester James, then dumped him and hooked up with de la Vega, Francisco de la Vega, then she reformed and was a nice girl later. That was the nicest role I have ever seen her in.

India Maria is a legend and still seems to be able to hold her own for the physical comedy. Although that bicycle fall sure seemed pretty hard and real, I wonder is she suffered any bodily damage.

I'm glad that everyone was cautioning MC about dirty old men. She's a country mouse in the big city and she needs to be aware of such a thing. We all know gramps wasn't very good about teaching her about the ways of the world.

One interesting thing, I watched the show on univision website and they wrote MC's sister's name as Solilla.

I'm liking this TN so much more already. Can't wait til Tobias meets MC.
 

I am surprised by how enchanted I am by CE playing a good guy. I discover that I'm adoring him in whatever scene he's in. And I had absolutely no such thoughts when watching Amor Bravio.
 

Also, since I don't watch this show until the next day anyway, the Univision website shows the previous night's show the next day. Win win with the ccs too.

One more thing, I'm so glad that they didn't do that ridiculous call of the blood when they met. He thought she was familiar looking to him but that's based on the fact that he was married to her mother and from my recap of it, her mother looked exactly like her, and she thought he was a kind man and based her opinion of him on her intuition, which is not unusual to do at all.

Alos too, at the end, Alejandro thought bubbles that he wants to make her a dama because he thinks she's worth the effort.

The woman who plays Raiza was a good person in a TN called "Rebeca", probably around 2003? Rebeca was played by Mariane Seoane(sp) the singer, and Patricia Roja? (Raiza) was her sister, a good girl who was sick/crippled and in a wheelchair for part of the story.

I love CE as a good guy. Vivi, I too want to give him a big ol' hug and kiss.
 

I am confused about Teobaldo. Why is he dressed like a sailor, and then working as a busboy in the casino, gathering empty champagne glasses? Does he have any naval duties? If not - why does he wear the sailor suit?
