CIELOS

Juanita, Turco is the Cartel's Lawyer and Financial Advisor. Sure he should tell AC about the spendings but he doesn't have to. They have so much money that AC would never suspect any money missing. I remember in one of the first episodes, they ran out of space to store ALL their money that Chacorta told his henchmen to burn the rest.

-VRO

CIELOS

You're right, VRO, that Turco can act independently in dealing with the cartel's money, and thanks for reminding me about that great scene where Chacorta gives the order to burn the money for which there's no room. However, if Turco does something that Aurelio thinks is not in his or the cartel's best interests (e.g., helping Ximena to leave), he would be in deep mierda.

LA PATRONA – VIERNES – Part 1

Francisca comes to tell Verónica about her dream with the babies. Vero asks Gastón to show Luz, who’s just arrived, broke, to a guest room.

Gastón tells Luz that Vero and Lucho didn’t get married while she was away. Noting her expression, he tells her that she should forget about Lucho.

Macario tells Antonia that she will give him his money, whether in a good way or a bad way. She butters him up, saying he was her most faithful employee.

Francisca tells Vero that, in her dream, Max and Tigre told her to tell Vero to stop fighting with Alejandro and that one of the most beautiful babies was hers and Alejandro’s. Fran tells Vero she’s pregnant! When Vero scoffs, Fran pulls out a pregnancy test.

Alejandro and Irene talk at the hospital. She senses something is wrong about his relationship with Vero. She reminds him that she and Lucho found the proof of Antonia’s past in her own safe. He tells her that what everyone forgets is that she’s his mother.

Antonia tells Aníbal that she can’t really do without Macario [at least for now, she says with a little grin]. So she’s going to have to fork over a lot of money.

Lucho and Irene enter his bedroom horsing around and find Luz draped all over it in a dress that makes Guerra’s outfit in the prostitute picture look tastefrul.

Gonzalez and the other Keystone Kops waste time and gossip in the hospital hallway, giving Lucas (who’s brought ice cream from Antonia for Lucía) the opportunity to overhear that Chacón is here in this hospital.

Luz jumps right up and starts screeching at Irene in a jealous fit. Irene catches on fast that Lucho was “spending time” with her while she lived with Julio Montemar. Luz is eventually sent back to her own room by Vero.

The pregnancy test is positive. [I can’t remember ever seeing a negative one as a plot device in a telenovela!] Vero is overjoyed. She has another opportunity to have a child born of love. Francisca says this baby is meant to bring happiness and life.

Lucas brings the ice cream to Lucía’s room, but it turns out to be Alejandro’s favorite. He digs right in, recognizing that his mother is trying to win him over.

Vero isn’t planning to tell Ale about the baby, but Francisca and Gastón insist he should know.

Antonia looks at the photograph of herself on the flyer and remembers when they called her la güera (the blonde), without a name or a surname, like a thing that they passed from one disgusting animal to another. She says she went from the streets to the bordello, from a prostitute to a dama de compañia (high-class call girl), the lover of many, to the querida (mistress) of only one man. David walks in on this reverie, and Guerra lies some more. She tells him she came from a good family, and her mother never would have sold her. [I’m thinking the opposite of what she says is what happened.]

Francisca and Gastón say that the baby can bring peace to them or perhaps a more difficult war, defending the baby from Guerra.

LA PATRONA – VIERNES – Part 2

Vero comes to the hospital to tell Alejandro about the baby, but he tells her nothing has changed. She said a light came into her life today and everything has changed. He looks right in her face, a bit hopeful, and asks if this means she’s forgotten the vengeance. She tells him not exactly, and he just gets angry. She asks if he’ll end up hating her for Antonia Guerra’s sake, or does he already hate her? She tells him to forget it; what she was going to say doesn't make any sense. She says nothing now unites them.

Vero talks to her baby in bed, looking gorgeous. She tells the baby nothing will ever separate them.

David comes down to a huge breakfast Guerra has ordered for him. She asks him his plans for the day. When he says they are to see his novia, she can’t resist ragging on Cecilia. She says that the girl lives in the house of her worst enemy and is trying to poison him against her. He gets up in disgust and tells her she doesn’t ever just talk; she gives orders.

Ricardo has just “spent time” with Inés. She merrily suggests that they meet for dinner that evening. He says the same things to her he’s said over and over: that she disgusts him. This doesn’t slow her down at all. She says she wants to live with him. He asks if she’s nuts. He tells her that outside of this room he detests her.

Macario and Lucas are all ready to tell Antonia about Chacón when Balmy arrives to question Antonia. He asks her about the flyer. She tells him it was photoshopped. He tells her the picture was authentic. “When did you become a prostitute?” Slap! They argue some more and for a minute it looks like he’s going to weaken and jump into bed with her. But he pushes her away, saying his duty comes before his desires. Then he asks her when she became the owner of the bordello. He accuses her of killing El Chopo to avoid being accused of killing Valentina and Max!

Inés is still in there pitching. She tells Ricardo they were made for each other. He tells her he feels like a miserable wretch every time he’s with her, and Si no he volada la tapa de los sesos es porque al menos puedo respirar el resto del día sin tener que verte la cara. (If he hasn’t blown out his brains after being with her, it’s because he can breathe easy knowing he won’t have to see her face again that day!) Now this finally gets to her! She cuts him off. She says she’ll let him die of wanting her. Then he’ll get from behind his mother’s skirts and come, bringing his suitcases, begging her.

David has come to La Fortaleza. We don’t see Cecilia, but David accuses Vero of being a very low sort of person for destroying his granny’s reputation. He says he’s not going to let her continue to harm Antonia. She asks if he tried to find out if what was in the flyers is true. He says he didn’t need to; he knows his grandmother perfectly well. Vero tells him she can see that he trusts Antonia more than his own mother and that he always believed in Antonia’s version: that his mother was crazy, a criminal. He brushes this off. But he ways that the enemies of his grandmother are his enemies, and he’s not going to set foot in this house again. He starts to leave, but Vero tells him that one day the mask will fall off Antonia Guerra and he will know all the damage she caused to his family.

La Patrona,

love your recaps novelera!

Gabriela pregnant,
I love it when she smiles!

so when Lucecita and Irene were chatting,
Perra!
Víbora!
Zorra!
did Veronica walk up and say enough with the zoo stuff?

oh, pregnancy tests, wasn't Valentina's negative,

ah yes Ricardo and his 'disgusted sex', and then back for more,
interesting to see where this goes now that she has cut him off.

always interesting the Veronica / David confrontations,
he stumbles trying to fit the pieces together,
and when he heads off in the wrong direction,
Veronica always stops him cold by mentioning his mother,

remember when he snuck into the Manicomio to see her,
she didn't recognize him at first,
but he was there for her,

Cielos - viernes

I'm confused. There's a scene in last night's episode in which Marco receives a call from someone I thought was Benitez, but he says his name is Cesar Silva de la Garza, or something like that. Is that Benitez, and if not, who is he? To complicate matters further, as soon as Cesar gets off the phone with Marco, it turns out that he's in a room meeting with Ramiro, whom he seems to trust and who calls him Cesar, which would indicate that they're quite close. ???

Cielos - viernes

In addition to the business with Marco and "Cesar," I found the interchange between Ximena and Turco quite interesting. He says he understands that she and Aurelio have made up and things are better. When she doesn't deny that, he says "So I guess you'll no longer need these," indicating the tickets from the travel agency (which he has just bought for a briefcase full of money). She indicates that she still feels she must leave and take her children (the two younger ones, at any rate) away from the narco life. She pleads with him to help her and to give her the tickets. He refuses, saying that her security is his top priority and the best place for her and her children is here, and that he'd defend her with his life if need be. She says that no matter what, she's going to leave. She admits that she still loves Aurelio, and it would be easier to stay and to believe Aurelio's promises to reform and to put his family first, but he's Aurelio, and it's not going to happen.

Indeed, she continues, Turco too should leave. He's a good person and has the money to flee and lead the life of his dreams. Hasn't he ever wanted to do that? No, he says. She tells him she knows he's not telling the truth, she can see it in his eyes.

Later, Doña Alba sees that Rutila is packing her dolls and other things. In spite of the fact that Rutila gives her the excuse her mother taught her to give, Doña Alba isn't fooled. She goes to Turco to plead with him not to let Ximena leave. She tells him that if Ximena leaves and he helps her do so, he's a dead man.

LA PATRONA

Thanks Novelera, for the excellent recap.

Best news of the week - we have another potential donor for Lucia!

What a piece of work that Lucecita is. Of course, Lucho did use her (several ways and times!) to get the dirt on Julio. But she's pretty bold - I guess you can't change a cougar's stripes. (Did I just mix my metaphors?!) And, Deb, I do believe Vero did say something like "this isn't a zoo!" to Lucecita and Irene.

Macario knows Antonia well enough and is smart enough to not trust her "good will" in paying him off. Now will she commission Lucas to kill Macario?

When Antonia told David that she came from a good family and that her mother never would have sold her into prostitution, I had the fleeting thought that maybe that was at least partly true and that something traumatic had happened to her family that caused her to become a prostitute.

The writers used a typical trite TN ploy at the hospital: Ale was sooo caught up in his self-righteous anger about his girlfriend dissing his mother that he couldn't shut up and find out what Gabriela had to tell him. How many days/weeks before he finds out about the bebe.

At breakfast Antonia just wouldn't stop with the criticism of Cecilia. David may be back in the house, but for how long?

And Francisca's pains - you'd think Tigre would at least give a clue as to why she's suffering.

EL SENOR/CIELOS

Juanita - that was the president who called Marco, and Ramiro is his cousin. Now Ramiro knows that Marco will be meeting with the president.

Cielos - viernes

Leo continues to show she's a super infiltrator and performer. She goes on a shopping trip to buy some clothes, accompanied by one of Aurelio's guards. She goes into the dressing room, and Ponte is already there, looking terrified. He provides her with small microphones, connectors, etc., and he also gives her the news about the death of Marco's mother. Upon hearing this, Leo lets out a cry, which the guard waiting outside the dressing room hears. He asks whether she's OK, and she sticks her head out to assure him that she is. She's careful to keep the dressingroom curtain closed around her, so he can't see into the room. After a while, the guard gets impatient over how much time she's taking. He goes over to the dressingroom and expresses concern that she's taking so long. He's about to push open the curtain when she again sticks her head out, this time revealing bare shoulders that suggest she's got nothing on on top. She says to him that obviously he's never gone shopping with a woman before, and she'll soon be done--or does he want to come help her? That has the desired effect: unlike Aurelio, Chacorta, or Cabo, the guard backs off and continues to wait in the store. I wish I could convey what a delightful scene this was.

Speaking of Cabo, there's a short scene between Aurelio and Cabo where Cabo gets Aurelio to admit that he's very close to Mónica, and then Cabo goes on to offer some advice about dealing with women. I think it was something like "either confront them or run fast" (if I've botched this, please correct me). For a moment, it seemed as if Aurelio and Cabo were bonding, but then Aurelio tells him not to stick his nose into Aurelio's business. End of story.

I haven't said much about Marco, whom we see in this episode mostly at the funeral home and funeral for his mother. But I don't have much to say about it.

Cielos

Beth, MANY THANKS for clarifying who Cesar is. I knew he looked familiar, but.... Anyway, that explains why Ramiro is on a first-name basis with him, as well as why Cesar seems to be a good guy and yet to trust Ramiro.

CIELOS

Thanks so much, Juanita, for your very well written recap!

The scenes with Turco and Ximena are always fascinating. She seems to sense some of what he feels for her and makes use of it. But she's also a bit in denial, wanting him to remain in the friend category. He, of course, is head over heels.

I suppose Turco's trying to keep her from leaving had two purposes: self-interest, as Alba said. Aurelio would somehow find out he'd given her money and kill him. And he doesn't want to never see her again.

Mathilde is such a snake. I'm quite sure she has no feelings for Victorcito at all. The whole "bring him to live with his father" is to hurt Aida. She'd be the wicked step-mother of the fairy tales. And she's seething with jealousy at all the male attention Leo is getting. I loved it when Leo threw it out there that she'd noticed her "closeness" with her nephew. And wasn't he a bit old to need a babysitter? Meouw! I love watching Leo put a spoke in her wheels, but it doesn't seem wise to get that witch on your bad side, if you're trying to continue the undercover work.

CIELOS

I just remembered something that interested me. After Mathilde stomped out of their bedroom because Chacorta said he couldn't convince his mother, he wondered to himself why they had to go to so much drama instead of just producing their own child.

I had assumed she was infertile. He obviously is not. But it's very odd indeed, especially in the Mexican culture, that a couple would have no children after so many years of marriage, if infertility is not the issue. It was remarked at least once that she changed Beto's diapers!

Cielos,

thanks so much Juanita,

I think the call from president César was a bit of a pivotal point,

first I think he was a close personal friend of both Marco's mother and father,
and apologizes for his not being at the wake, a security thing that Marco understands,

next, Marco wants to meet with him personally to discuss a VERY important matter,
with general Dan overhearing this side of the conversation,
(and later on Marco expresses to Eugenia, his suspicion that general Dan is somehow responsible for his mother's death)

that the Prez is going to the Vatican, they will meet when he returns,
and that Ramiro is overhearing that side of the conversation.
.......

thanks for clarifying the Cabo/Aurelio conversation,

Milton (Cabo) and Tijera are quite the characters, earlier when planning the anniversary I remember Aurelio saying they better put them up at the ranch, because they might attract attention being in a hotel in town, ha!, but so far this once a year anniversary doesn't even meet up to everyday life in Colombia for these guys.
.......

Marco is so stone cold honest with his women, and he can clearly see these guys staking out their territory around Eugenia, and surprised her with his observations, but he is not really being there for her, and she is keeping her distance.
.......

Turco, who it seems runs the entire Casillas business,
is really walking a very thin tightrope,

Presidente César
Ramiro de la Garza

CIELOS

It is also worth noting that Marco is not too amused by Eugenia's boss presence at the wake. He later questions Eugenia if she is dating her boss

Cielos

Novelera, I agree completely about Matilde being a snake, and that she'd be a terrible stepmother to little Victor. I never assumed she was infertile, but rather that probably she didn't want a child because 1) the pregnancy might ruin her figure, 2) she might have to abstain from sex for a while during and immediately after the pregnancy (especially the wild sex she and Chacorta seem to prefer), and 3) she didn't want to be tied down to the responsibilities of being a mother.

Cielos

Novelera,

Yes, the scene between Mati and Leo was both delightful and scary. I too love watching Leo at work. She's more than up to dealing with Mati. When Mati warned her "watch what you say" Leo quickly retorted "watch what you do." However, you're right: Mati isn't someone you want as an enemy--especially when, like Leo, you've got a lot to hide from some extremely ruthless people.

EL SENOR/CIELOS

Novelera and Juanita - I'd add a 4th reason for Mati not getting pregnant: she will never want another human, woman, child or family member to come between her and Chacorta. Mati is pathologically selfish and needy.

Beth

If Leo could deal with Pablo Escobar & make it out alive, she s/b able to handle this. But women have intuition that men don't seem to have, so Matilde just might figure this out. Besides sex does cloud a man's mind, except for Aurelio. To him it's like brushing your teeth. I must say though, he doesn't treat them like a piece of meat, at least they don't feel like it.

Matilde doesn't want to mess up her body, I think she even said that. And knowing how much Aida loves Victorcito, she is only interested in hurting her. I always have a hard time understanding why women blame the other women instead of the shithead she is with.

Cielos
One thing that bothers me, one of Aurelio's men thought Leo looked familiar, I hope it doesn't click with him.

CIELOS:
Variopinta- I also remember a discussion about Mati not wanting to mess up her awesome body by having a baby.

Novelera and Juanita- ITA with your assessments of her.

What Chacorta can’t see, and the women do see, is that Mati is determined to destroy their family from the inside out. She has tried to sow seeds of discord between the brothers by sleeping with AC and trying to convince Chacorta to betray AC and take over the biz. She tries to make her mother-in-law’s and sister-in-law’s lives hell as much as possible. She gave their enemies info on the whereabouts of Ximena and the kids in TX, knowing there’d likely be an attempt on their lives. She’s sleeping with and playing mind games with her nephew. And now she wants to get back at her husband’s mistress by stealing her child from her. There isn’t a snowball’s chance in hell that she would treat Little Victor well (only in public).

Even knowing just a bit of the crap Mati has pulled, what the hell is Chacorta thinking considering taking Victorcito from Aida and handing him to Mati?! That’s just nuts.

CIELOS:

Juanita- Turco didn't just buy the travel tickets, he bought the whole travel business. He told the owner he would leave the business as is and won't fire any of the current workers. It seems like he could have gotten the info on Ximena's travel in a much easier way, and even cancelled her tickets by paying off the agency owner with a LOT less money. So this makes me wonder if at some point he'll use HIS travel agency to help Ximena escape. He did tell her he'd help her, but NOW is not the time. Of course she is determined to leave now, and she plas to use the anniversary party as a cover. She asked Aida if she could leave Rutila with her that night, so that it would be easier for her to escape with just the baby. Either this is going to go horrible wrong, or Turco will talk her out of it.

Hard to believe that Ximena would leave Rutila behind, but she does know that Rutila loves her papa & the baby can be brought up in a normal home. But it isn't going to happen.

CIELOS:

She doesn't plan to leave Rutila behind. Precisely for that reason she's leaving Rutila at Aida's house, as if she's staying for a sleep-over with Victorcito, and picking her up, along with the stuff they secretly packed and left at Aida's house, on the way out of town. The only kid she's given up on is Beto.

CIELOS:
A few other things of note from Friday’s episode:

- Both Ximena and Alba have heard about the Cardinal’s assassination in Monterrey, and neither of them is buying AC’s and Chacorta’s lies that they weren’t involved. AC finally admits he was part of the gun battle, but says the Cardinal just got shot in the crossfire and wasn’t a target. Ximena still doesn’t believe him. She is SO done with AC and his lies.
- Cabo’s and Tijera’s reaction to seeing “Claudia” for the first time was funny. They definitely appreciate the lovely view. But I too am worried that one of these Colombian’s will recognize her from her undercover job with Pablo Escobar. She continues to drive AC crazy by playing hard to get. He even suggests a threesome, and she says she would love it, if it were with Ximena, whom she finds attractive. LOL! AC’s face is hilarious. Bet he never thought of the mother of his children that way.
- Tijeras demonstrates his technique for cutting a man’s throat and pulling his tongue through the hole left in his throat, with a small pair of scissors.
- Triste shows the most passion and emotion we have seen from him yet when he scolds Monica about how she’s dealing with the AC situation—to him it looks like she’s trying to prove AC’s innocence, more than the other way around. Monica slaps him and tells him he’s nothing more than a servant. He tells her to go ahead and take her emotions out on him—that’s what he’s here for, and she can depend on him always to be faithful. I get the feeling he has the same kind of silent devotion to Monica as Turco has to Ximena.
- In prison in Colombia, Oscar is doing business and making plans that involve Mexico. A cell phone is secretly delivered to him in prison.
- Don Cleto has a feeling that his merchandise (the cocaine AC gave him) is in danger sitting in his bodega before shipping via El Topo’s tunnels, and decides to have it moved to another storage area off his ranch. This may totally mess up the big bust AC is planning with General Dan.

Cielos,

thanks so much Vivi!
so many little things I missed,
this really helps.

Cielos

Vivi, thanks so much for adding so many valuable points about Friday's episode. You covered a lot that I missed when I watched the show.

You also did a terrific job of summing up all the ways in which Mati brings destruction to just about everyone.

BTW, I see that my sentence about Turco buying the travel agency wasn't at all clear. I knew that he bought the agency, not just the tickets, but my ambiguous "which" didn't make that clear.

I too wondered why Turco bought the agency. Your theory about him using the agency to help Ximena never occurred to me.

LA PATRONA:

After all my justification of Alejandro for his estupidez Thurs and Fri night, I have to conclude that yes, this is indeed the 'keep 'em apart, keep 'em apart, keep 'em apart' meme of telenovelas. That Ale could forget all the evil his mom did when those flyers went out just strained believabilty. Oh, and Ricardo's saga with Ines also strains belief. Los dos me tienen harta.

Oh, Gabriela's pregnancy made me squee several times, especially Francisca trolling her while she took the pregnancy test. Aracely has an amazing smile. I also love how the viewers are mad at Ale but glad that GabyVero is having his baby. I'm wondering, though, why GabyVero doesn't want Lucho to know she's pregnant.

PASION PROHIBIDA
Pasionistas, where are you? I am still cringing over Friday's episode, and need to vent!
J in Oregon

Pasion Prohibida

J in Oregon, I'm here!
I think Novela Man will add a bigger recap, but what made you cringe? I mean, what made you cringe more?

The way Ariel confronted B&B and Bianca expertly turned things around and made him apologize?
Or maybe the way how Bruno just watched on, barely able to say a word, but just adding to the "indignation" by shutting up?

Or maybe you cringed at the way Bruno handled Nina in his room, after saying Bianca's name and then the next day he was the one with a chip on his shoulder, anyway, changing their plans and treating her like a puppet?

Or Ariel receiving a copy of Bianca's ticket and going to the country house was the worst for you
!! Strolling about, smelling the pillows, screaming in the one we know Bianca slept on, probably when he felt her perfume?
Did you think that maybe Bruno should have cleaned the place a little, especially when he found out there were rumors about the house, too? Do you think he should have cleaned it regardless? Yeah, me too!

Personally, I cringe every time Yair in on screen and especially if Camila is next to him, being nice and in love. That guy doesn't deserve her, he is such a lousy excuse of a man, in my book he is almost as bad as Bruno.
Seeing Ariel's face when he smelled the pillow, I thought he was about to cry...what is it with these men, that their first reaction to anything is yo get all teary eyed. Whatever happened to wanting to punch someone?

How much do you think it will take Bianca to trick Ariel into believing her this time? Although at the moment she is pretty scared, maybe Bruno will finally man up for her and come up with a good lie (since telling the truth is in a sphere that Bruno could never even dream to touch).

Cielos

I also loved the look on Aurelio's face at the thought of Ximena in a menage à trois, wonderful expression, you knew exactly what he was thinking.

Did you notice how Matilde reacted when Berto was admiring Leo's qualities? Matilde just doesn't want ANYONE encroaching on her mojo.

PASION PROHIBIDA pt1

Brunos door opens. He thinks its Bianca but it was Nina. She gets pissed and wants to know why he said Bianca. Bruno says that was the first thing that came to mind. She gets angrier and asks if he likes Bianca. She doesn’t like how the 2 danced tonight. Bruno says he cant believe she would think he would have something with her fathers wife. Nina apologizes and and says she wanted a kiss. Bruno kisses her forehead. She wants a real kiss but Bruno says he is pissed off for having insulted him. Nina leaves.

At Franciscas ranch Yair is asleep. Cami and Francis watch him. “No” Yair mutters “Ariel no. That’s why I didn’t want to tell you” Cami says he mentioned Ariels name twice. Francis wakes Yair up. Cami says he was talking in his sleep. Francis asks about his dream. Yair doesn’t remember. She asks if his dream had to do with his secret. Yair says it was just a nightmare. He tells the two ladies goodnight.

The next morning, Pen returns home. Nuria is holding baby Esteban. Nuria tells Pen and Nico that Danny is a good man for Flav and the two deserve to be together. Its hard to find love at an old age. Pen says that she and Nico will look out for her. Nuria says Pen is the glue that keeps the Santillanas together. Pen thinks Bianca overreacted with her. She only told her what Willy said. Nuria thinks Willys comment offended Bianca but it doesn’t explain why she snapped at her. Nico thinks Pen asked Bianca. Pen says she did but she had to make sure it was just a rumor. Nuria asks Nico if he believes Willy. Nico says he doesn’t.

Flav is in her bedroom calling Danny on the phone when Bianca walks in. She jokes about Flav turning Danny into a checkbook and becoming Miamis sultan. Flav says she and Bianca aren’t alike after all Bianca is surrounded by snakes and doesn’t know how to defend herself. Bianca has a new diary and is “rewriting” her past. She then tells Flav Willys comment got to Ariel but shes sure he’ll get over it. Flav says Ariel may investigate and Biancas screwed if that happens.

Bruno is in the kitchen Cele tells him that Yair has gotten better Tere says he has nightmares. Cele tells Bruno that Ariel figured something out in his nightmares. When Bruno asks “What did Ariel find out?” Nina shows up greets Bruno and kisses him. Nina says he cant jog half a Mile with the food hes gonna eat. Bruno says that he is going to see Yair and leaves. Nina wonders what happened to him.

In the living room Ariel asks Saul where he worked in the past. Saul says he worked in a law firm but was laid off after some cuts. Ariel asked who he worked for. Saul says he cant remember he was there for a few months. He offers to drive Ariel but he says he will have Simon do it. Saul gives Ariel an envelope saying it arrived for him. Saul hides behind the wall. Ariel opens the envelope there is a small bag and a letter which reads: Country House 12005 Krome ave Homestead, FL. Inside the bag there is a pair of keys. Ariel asks Saul who gave him the envelope. Saul says the envolpe was dropped off by a delivery truck and he received it. Ariel asks why there is no return address. Saul doesn’t know. says hes not an idiot and if Saul doesn’t speak the truth he will leave Saul penniless. Saul says when he received the envelope Flav saw him she was jogging Flav shows up and Saul leaves. Ariel asks Flav if she was jogging. She was and she saw a delivery truck Saul picked up the envelope. She asks if he didn’t receive the envelope. Ariel suspects Saul is working for Willy. He asks Flav to keep an eye on him.

PASION PROHIBIDA pt2

Nico is playing with his kid when the doorbell rings. Nico asks his servant Amanda to open the door. Penelope shushes him. Nico asks if she invited someone. Pen thinks its his mom. But its Willy. Nico wants him out since he doesn’t have a son he has no grandkids. Willy asks for Pens help. Pen says if Nico doesn’t want him, neither does she. Willy tries to touch one of the babies. Nico says if Willy doesent leave he will see what he is capable. “Oh really you idiot?! What R U capable of?” Willy asks. “U get one step closer to my wife and kids and youll find out.”

Ariel is in his private office remembering the phone call he had with Willy. Ariel enters Brunos bedrrom and tells him to head downstairs. Bruno says they can talk here but Ariel says he’ll wait for him downstairs.

Nico argues with Willy. Nico cant believe Willy would show up as if nothing happened. Willy cant believe Nico wouldn’t tell him about his grandson. Nico asks how Willy heard the news. Willy has his contacts. “Spies you mean” Nico says. “The Piamontes know. That’s illegal. Get ready to defend yourself in court” Willy tells him to stop worrying about them. Nico says theyre his family. Not like Willy who turned his back on him. Willy says the clan will fall soon. Nico says that Willy can hurt Ariel with the bs rumor of B&B having an affair. Willy says its been confirmed, Ariel will know soon. Before leaving Willy asks for pictures of his grandson.

As Bruno heads to the living room Bianca is sitting in a sofa. Bruno knows his uncle is unhappy and thinks he found out. Bianca says they will deny it. Bruno asks what if Ariel has evidence. Bianca says to deny it. She doubts Willy has proof. Bruno thinks he does and the two argue about it.

Saul calls Willy. Ariel was pissed over the envelope. Willy says that Ariel will soon finds Brunos house. Saul says maybe not. Willy says his plan is working perfectly and tells Saul not to call him again. Nico told him that the clan suspects him.

Bruno doesn’t understand how Bianca is calm. She doesn’t understand why he wont calm down. Ariel shows up and asks Bruno to have a seat. Bruno says he is okay but Ariel demands he sit down. As he does Bianca stand up. Ariel orders her to sit down but she refuses. She knows hes going to ask the bs about being with Bruno and she wont tolerate the humiliation. Bruno asks Bianca to calm down. Shes tired of the humiliation, the suspicions and the lies. “What do want to know” Bianca asks Ariel “If your nephew and wife are lovers?”

Ariel asks Bianca if she heard Willys accusation. Bianca says she did. Pen told her. Nico told Ariel. Bianca is pissed that Ariel didn’t say anything until now. Bruno asks if Ariel believes Willy. Bianca says he does that explains his attitude the night before. Instead of talking to her Ariel kept it to himself. Bianca says she didn’t think it was a big deal because it was stupid. But obviously she was wrong since Ariel doesn’t trust them. Bruno cant believe Ariel. Ariel says he wanted to clarify things. He cant imagine his nephew with his wife. But Bianca wont have any of it. Bianca asks Ariel if he thinks his nephew sleeps with his wife behind his back.

PASION PROHIBIDA pt3

Saul calls someone but hangs up when he sees Kat. She gives him lemonade for his hard work. He asks if she poisoned it. She says shes being nice. Saul tells he she said she wanted nothing with him and was mean to him. Kat says she was keeping distance since he has a girlfriend. Saul says he told her he has no gf. Kat asks who is he calling then. Saul was calling a cousin from New York (Is by any chance that cousin named Cisco or Tarek?). she bets it’s a girl and not a cousin. Saul says he has no gf. Kat says it doesn’t matter. Saul asks if Ariel left. Kats asks why he cares since hes not Ariels chauffeur. She leaves

Bianca heads to the bedroom and starts to pack. Ariel says he was just trying to clear things up. Bianca wont listen. Ariel says Willy told Bruno has a country home close to Franciscas. Bianca says its true Bruno used it to rest Ariel wants to know why he wasn’t told. Bianca says Bruno has his reasons. Ariel asks how she knew about the house. Bianca says by coincidence. Ariel asks if she went there before. Bianca says she never steeped foot in that house. Ariel apologizes to Bianca. She says Willy wants to cause problems and he succeeded. Ariel asks for forgiveness.

Bruno is sitting on the couch Nina shows up. Bruno says hes waiting for Ariel. Nina thought they finshied talking. Bianca headed upstairs and Ariel chased her. Flav shows up and asks if they argued again. Bruno says its because of Willy. Flav cant believe the disgusting old man. Nina says Willy wants to ruin the family why argue about him. Bruno says this time its serious. Nina asks what happened. Flav says if he doesn’t answer Bianca will. Bruno says Willy is accusing B&B of being lovers. Nina and Flav complain about how evil Willy is. Bruno says whats worse is that Ariel believes it. Nina says she can believe Ariel sides with Willy. Flav says shes sure Ariel wont believe it. She thinks Ariel and Bianca are probably reconciling by now. Bruno says they shouldn’t let Willy get to them and asks Nina to get ready to visit Yair. Nina looks for Saul. Flav says that Bruno is cynical: any other woman would’ve seen in his eyes the guilt that idiot Nina couldn’t see.

Flav heads to her bedroom. Kat put flowers on the table. The flowers are from Danny. Flav says they arrived at a wrong time. Shes tired of Bianca and Ariel fighting. Kat asks if she wants the flowers somewhere else. Flav says to leave them there and to leave. Kat leaves. Flav pulls an envelope from the flowers inside is a letter which reads: Roses Serve to say the things we cant say, with love Daniel Parejo.

At Franciscas ranch, Deniz notes Yair looks better. He says hes gotten healthier. Cami asks if hes happy to see Nina. He says if she has something to say to say it to her face. Deniz says he shouldn’t get that way. Yair doesn’t like spiteful question. Deniz says she would like to know the answer as well. Is he willing to see Nina and Bruno together?

Saul is driving Bruno and Nina. Nina cant believe Willy could accuse Bruno of such a crime. She wishes Bruno told him. Bruno says its BS that’s why he didn’t take it seriously. Nina says her dad did and that’s why he argued with Bianca. Bruno says that’s why he didn’t say anything but Nico opened his mouth which doesn’t surprise him at all. Nina thinks her daddys pissed (Oh Really?) Bruno says whats worse is that hedoesnt trust B&B and he found out about the country house. Nina says he should’ve told Ariel. Bruno didn’t think Willy would use the house to make up the lie. When Nina asks how Willy found out. Bruno says probably the same way Nina did: Eli

PASION PROHIBIDA pt4

Bianca and Ariel are holding hands. Flav says they look like a young couple. She thought they were still fighting. Ariel says it was a misunderstanding. Flav says Bianca has unconditional love for him. Ariel kisses Bianca and heads out. Flav reminds him that she hasn’t forgotten about her task. Bianca asks what did Ariel want from her. To track Saul. Bianca cant believe thers a spy. Flav says to stop playing. Her game has gone too far and now Willy knows. Flav says that Willy succeeded in planting a seed of doubt in Ariel. When a man thinks hes being betrayed he wont rest until he finds the truth.

Cami gave Yair a drink. She thought Deniz would stay. Yair thought the same about Francis but everyone has their own life. Everyone but Cami. Yair says shes earned her way into heaven he apologizes for snapping at her earlier. Cami says its nothing then runs out the window Bruno and Nina arrived. Nina kisses Yair saying he looks good. Bruno says Yair looks healthier. Nina shows Yair his ring. Yair congratulates the two Cami heads in the kitchen for cookies Nina follows. Bruno accuses Yair of betraying him.

Bianca in in her bedroom putting her clothes back in the drawer when Tere shows up with mail.

At Piamonte ent., Francis tells Ariel he shouldn’t listen to evil comments and that family is important. The secretary shows up with an envelope and tells Tere the meeting is about to start. Francis leaves and Ariel says hell catch up.

Bruno says Yairs is working for Willy and giving him info. When Yair asks whats wrong with him, Bruno says to not deny it, He knows everything. Yair isn’t Willys spy. Bruno says he betrayed him. Yair says Bruno the only traitor. And he hasn’t said anything so Nina wouldn’t get hurt. If Nina wasn’t in the middle this conversation wouldn’t be happening. He doesn’t care if Bruno believes him or not. Hes an honorable man. Not like other people. Bruno says if Yair isn’t the spy then who is? Nina and Cami show up with the cookies

Bianca and Ariel open their letters and inside is a record of Biancas ticket. The back of the copy reads: I told you I had proof. This is the beginning of the end of the Santillana clan.

Bianca remembers when she told Saul to keep the ticket a secret lest she fire him. Bianca calls Bruno and tells him she knows who the spy is. (Saul is washing a car) Bruno says Yair denied it but Bianca says the spy is Saul. When Bruno asks how. Bianca hes hes the only one who knew about the speeding ticket she received the last time she went to Brunos house. She had Saul pay for it. Bruno is still confused. Willy gave her a copy of the ticket saying he had proof Bianca went to Brunos house. If Ariel sees the ticket its over. Bruno says she can say she went there once but Bianca already said she never went to that house before. Ariel will know Bianca lied to him if he sees the ticket.

Saul enters the house and asks Cami for lemonade. She says its in the fridge. Saul wants to asks a question. He can but whether or not she answers it is another story. Saul wants to know why Bruno is acting weird, gicing him dirty looks. Cami snaps at him saying its joven Bruno and he asks too many questions.

Ariel is driving. Francis calls from from his office he hangs up.

PASION PROHIBIDA pt5

When Nico asks about Bianca Pen says shes upset with her. Bianca had never been so pissed with her. Nico says Pen accused her of something serious. Pen says she only asked a question but Willy likes to start problems. Nico asks Pen if she ever thought his dad was right. She asks if he thinks her sister would cheat on her husband. His father wouldn’t make stuff up for no reason. Pen says his dad hates them and does nothing but hurt them. “Havent you ever asked yourself?” Nico says “What if B&B are lovers?” Nico says he wont tell anyone if its true (Yeah right!). Pen doesn’t know. All she knows is Bianca is unhappy with Ariel and she didn’t marry him for love. Nico asks Pen if that means she accepts that Willy may be right.

Kat is combing Flavs hair. Bianca enters the bedroom and orders her out. Bianca tells her Saul is the spy. He was around Francis and Ariel when they talked about Willy and he was near Bianca when Esteban was born. Flav never liked him. Bianca thinks he lurks around the house too much. Kat overhears the conversation.

Ariel enters Brunos country house and figures out B&B were cheating on him. But we still have 5 capitulos left.....

PASION PROHIBIDA

Ay. I don't know what I'm going to do when this ends.

I think it's kind of hilarious how Cami keeps feeding Yair, even though his arms are in perfect working condition.

Nina is so ridiculous. How could she not have seen the truth by now, especially after Bruno says Bianca's name when Nina comes in? Bruno is TERRIBLE at pretending he loves her. I guess she's supposed to be young and naive, but that doesn't make it any less annoying. So the Piamonte apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Like father, like daughter.

After the dramatic screaming into the pillow thing, I will be seriously hacked off if B&B manage to convince Ariel yet again that he's mistaken, and especially if they do that righteous indignation "How dare you insinuate such a thing? Don't you trust your own WIFE and NEPHEW?" Bianca sure knows how to lay that on thick.

I have to admit I breathed a HUGE sigh of relief at Ariel finding out. Thank God the bandaid has been ripped off. Then again, the last time I thought the same thing, it was a blanged DAYDREAM. So I'm not getting my hopes up.

I cannot wait for this week! I have a feeling things are gonna get CA-RAAAAAZY! Anyone want to predict if there will be one last Subway plug??

PASION PROHIBIDA

So, in my limited tn experience, I've noticed a couple t hings that seem to have been different about this tn, which may be why I've been so pegadita to PP throughout (although we do still have 5 days to go...):

1. No kidnappings!!! And there was at least ONE baby who has been ripe for the picking the whole time, not to mention poor Santi!

2. No pregnancy scandals/fake pregnancies... ok, there was the abortion in the very beginning, but it has been such a non-issue, it's quite surprising.

3. A reasonably stable couple that has been together all the way through, in which both parts of the pareja are probably the most decent people on the whole show, and are not necessarily the most boring people on the show (although some may disagree with me on this one). There was that weird "burning the house down" thing with Penelope in the early days, but again, non-issue. I found it refreshing that amidst all the crazy, there was some semblance of sanity somewhere.

Again, I've only been part of this tn world for a couple years, but these are some things I have noticed that have made this TN easier for me to stay tuned into...

Pasion Prohibida

Thank you for the recap, NovelaMan!
Only 5 episodes to go!!!!

Amy, I've been watching tns since I was about 10 years old (in the early 90's, so I've had my share of stories. But PP is different for many reasons, starting with its oriental origin. Turkish tns (I call them like this for lack of a better name) are all about family dynamics and betrayal and the kind of stuff PP has excelled at. My mom used to watch them when I still lived at home,so I have a pretty good idea about them.

In parallel with PP I've been watching the original on line , too, and although the scenes play out almost identically, there is a significant difference in the way they are acted. The Turkish version is so much more dramatic and it has a feeling of fatality that PP doesn't quite capture, maybe because of the genre.

Anyway, back to PP, there are so many things that are not the same as in other tns, like the fact that main characters cheat and lie and manipulate all through the show, they have very few redeeming qualities (if any) and the good characters are either to stupid and oblivious (Ariel, Nina), not enough used (Deniz, Pene, Nico even), or plain annoying (Yair)...so you kind of have to root for the bad guys.

After PP is over I think I'm gonna wait for Mentir para Vivir (Televisa) to start on Univision, because it really looks great (I watched 2 episodes and I was seriously impressed, but I want to hold off with the on line watching until the US has it on, so I don't spoil myself to much).
And I'll give Santa Diabla a chance when it starts and even this new one, Dama y Obrero for a few episodes, just to see how it is.

PASIóN PROHIBIDA

NovelaMan - thanks for the awaited recap. what an episode!

OH.EM.GEE!! that last scene where Ariel picked up the second pillow and smelled it! hallelujah... he got a clue!

AdrianaNoel -Incredulous when B&B were aghast at Ariel's accusation. how could they deny it so vehemently, and face him when all this comes to light?

AnotherAmy - things or some people are definitely gonna get crazi-ERrrr. and another thing this tn does not have are murders. thank heavens. the 'villains' (B&B) are also the protagonists. and yes, P&N are sweet.

Apart from the Neena/Bruno scenes these past few weeks, and esp. the 'wwwwwone,' I have been pretty glued, all thanks to JC/MS's convincing acting. they are beholding to watch. and interestingly, Neena is the annoying 'other woman,' where-in other tns, she would be the trashy/voluptuous sort. but here, Bianca is the hot one.

Pasión Prohibida,

terrific recap NovelaMan!

great comments all,

and Adriana Noel earlier,
"Do you think he (Bruno) should have cleaned it (the country house) regardless? Yeah, me too!"
hahaha!

they haven't been to the country house in what seems like over a week, and it's like they were there last night, even an open beer bottle and used wine glass on the table,

this place still confuses me, did he buy or rent it, and did it come fully furnished, you know, books, dishes, paintings, fresh flowers, and food, but no servants, should at least have a gardener the way they park their cars in the back yard,

Bruno is going to kick himself for not taking Neena there, (but this might be a more scary thought for everyone than Neena driving a car by herself), and had her clean the place, or maybe she would have noticed the essence of Bianca there too, funny no one ever notices Bianca's smell all over Bruno, all of the time,

so did Saul drive Bruno and Neena to Francisca's, that was weird, did they use Bruno's car, is Bruno getting too disoriented to be trusted behind the wheel, were they planning on drinking?

I was hoping Ariel got the wrong address and keys and ended up in someone's living room.

AdrianaNoel - just read your last post about the comparison to the Turkish version; I agree with you. I guess we can discuss it in detail when this ends.

PASIóN PROHIBIDA

deb - I am relieved Bruno did not take Nina to his lair. lol on "but this might be a more scary thought for everyone..."

Pasion Prohibida

Amy, I forgot to mention this earlier, but what's up with Yair that he can't eat alone, indeed!! Poor Cami, she's become his maid and sadly, she seems happy to do it.

Deb, can you imagine Bruno taking Neena to the country house and then Ariel smelling his daughter all over the pillows? LOL, but I guess it would have still been better then Bianca!
I wonder what they say about the perfume on the pillow...I can just see them trying to explain how Bianca uses a very common perfume that one of Bruno's women also has or God knows what else.
For someone who is surely staying awake at night trying to find a way to cover his azz and get out of the mess he's in, Bruno sure is careless, but what else is new?

Shallowgal, I can't wait to talk about the original version. There were some scenes in there that I had to watch several times because they were just incredibly good (and even if I didn't understand a word, I could realize what they were saying because of the almost perfect parallel with PP.)

PASIóN PROHIBIDA

one more thing - on Thursday night's episode, after B&A left the club, and it was just Bruno, Nina, and Santi sitting at the table, I was so cheering when Bruno said "I'm bored." Yyyeesss!! Nina is indeed boring. I simply love that there's not one iota of him interested in her that way.

Pasión Prohibida,

I too have been amazed by the lack of actual physical violence,
(Ariel forcing Bianca to have sex was by far the worst and really out of place with the rest of the story),

It first struck me when no one poisoned Flavia, exchanged her $90,000 necklace for a lead one, and rolled her into the bay,

and I had the thought, but didn't really think that Bruno would follow through, and muffle Yair's tears for ever in the hospital,
besides, he'd already upset the nurses enough,

So aside from Ariel, the worst we have seen have been the occasional slap,
especially loved the one where Denis knocked Flavia down to her knees,
and the rare Bruno/Arredondo punch,

but what intrigue they have generated, and carried through out the story,

what I think is a first for me though, is that someone has gone from pregnant to birth, TWICE!

PASIóN PROHIBIDA

deb - ROFLOL!!! en todo! I would've been more satisfied though if a few or more hard slaps were delivered to the deserving ones i.e. flavia, yair

CIELOS:

Variopinta- Yeah, Mati likes to be the only alpha female around and Leo is encroaching on her territory.

She competes with Ximena too, but in a different way. Ximena doesn't put herself out there as a sex object. She is the respected wife. We often see Mati demanding to be respected within the household, and going off when she feels she's not getting it (especially from Alba, Ximena, and Chacorta). But of course, she doesn't give respect, so how can she expect to receive it?

LA PATRONA

I think Vero is keeping the baby secret from Lucho because he is a blabbermouth. No matter what she doesn't want that news to get back to Ale or god forbid Guerra.

I think she let that moron Ale off too easily. The fool has betrayed her once and now after she forgave him he has to make a choice between his psycho murderer prostitute mother and the love of his life and the mother of his murdered child and who does he pick Mommy Dearest.

In that hospital scene I would have told him — one day soon Ale you will remember this day and you will regret it. Now no matter what happens or what you learn don't come near me or my family again — ever. You are as dead to me as the child your mother killed. Turn on my heel and walk away.

David is almost as bad. Sure it can't be fun to learn your abuela was a prostitute but it looks like he is heading down the same path as Ale and will have problems with Cecilia who keeps trying to make him think. Must be some stupid gene in the Beltran bloodline.

I kept thinking with her pains that Francisca would be the one who turned up pregnant. Now I'm wondering if she has ovarian cancer or some tumor and El Tigre is falling down on the job of warning her.

Pasión Prohibida,

I wonder how this will all work out for the young ones,

LA PATRONA:

Any Patronistas willing to discuss the possibility that Alejandro would have been right if he confined his criticism of the Guerra mujerzuela revelation to the fact that he wasn't told about it beforehand. I think if he had stuck to that he would have been right, but the argument just got out of control. I mean, that's what he told Ricardo--that it felt like a betrayal since it was done while he was in jail trying to get Chacon to turn.

But we can't expect novelas to be reasonable, now can we?

Cielos
Tough to command respect if you are a slut, sleeping with the husband & son of someone you are envious of.

Now she is envious of Leo because of the attention she is getting & I'm worried for Leo.

LA PATRONA:

J desde NYC- I agree. Ale and Vero would have been able to work it out had he stuck to the argument about being blind-sighted. Vero was even mad at the boys for doing the radio reveal without first telling her so that she could warn Ale.

Of course, then she ordered the flyer dump, also without telling Ale, which was the first mistake/inconsistency by the writers, and a major loss of points on Vero's part. Even more reason for Ale to feel blind-sighted.

But then the writers muddle things even more by having Ale get hung up on how shameful and disrespectful it is to publically out his sainted (NOT!) mother as a prostitute. Say what?! Major point deduction for Ale. So both our galan and galana end up looking like insensitive dopes.

Cielos
60 min tonight, the largest drug cartel ever seen.

LA PATRONA:

I actually think Ale didn't betray Gaby the first time during her trial because Guerra set up the plot so well that everyone except Gaby's family believe she was guilty. When Anibal and Guerra were basically calling Gaby a whore and a golddigger he defended Gaby because he saw it was class prejudice. When she was framed, everyone in the town, including the poor people, believed the accusations. Remember Guerra allowed Fer's wake to be held with the other miners and told Ale not to come to that wake because he had chosen Gaby over his family? That wake was where Guerra and Irene sowed a lot of the poison against Guerra.Plus, Ale didn't know about Chamuco until after it was stolen and put in the 'foreign company'.

The argument from Thursday, though, was odd, obviously telenovela writing antics, and represented more of a betrayal because Ale now has more than enough information about who is mother is, but was so hurt by the flyers.

It just seems the whole thing could've been avoided by a phone call to Alejandro after the initisl radio broadcast or Gaston & Lucho telling GabyVero first about what they had found.

That being said Vero did fix the initial error since by getting the flyers in public view, Guerra can't sue, because she'd lose face by acknowledging it hurt her, plus she'd have to prove in court it wasn't true.

PASION PROHIBIDA

The electric bill for the casa del campo must be astronomical... every time someone sneaks in, the lights (including the ones lighting up the artwork) are already a-blazin'!

La Patrona,

hi J desde NYC,
great comments,

hmm, I don't think anyone could accuse Alejandro of not being an honest, honorable, hard working young man,

but there is this block he has, when it comes to his mother,
where he just goes blind, gets confused, and has no other choice than to walk away,
a validation to how evil and devious his mother has been in manipulating him through the years,

so I'm going with the Tigres, Gabriela loves him, so...

but at this point what worries me, (and I haven't read any spoilers)
is that this flaw he has may cost him his life, when he finally makes a stand.

LA PATRONA

There is no getting away from the fact that he was blindsided but actually at first so was Gaby. Nevertheless she did make it worse by not getting in touch with him.

After all he has been told Ale should wake up and smell the coffee. He has to know that everything he has been told is true so why flip out over this when so much worse is bound to come out. He knows full well that Antonia has no qualms about spreading lies all over town so he should realize that turnabout is fair play. Such a typical novela cliche the misunderstanding that could have been cleared up with a phone call or simple explanation but no we get pride in the way and people stalking off in a huff.

LA PATRONA:

Deb, I'm with you about Guerra being his fatal flaw that will cost him his life. I feel as if he'll end up dead like Fer in the end when he finally gets it about Guerra. I remember when he told Gaby that he was 'condemned to love you' in the first etapa and when he discovered Fer's body and closed his eyes, it symbolized to me that Ale was going to die. And with this silly argument last week, which, as Vivi said, made both the protagonists look like insensitive dopes, Ale has to die to redeem himself. It sounds like the lead-up to Max and Val's 'too-stupid-to-live' signing of all that papeleo after both knew Guerra was shady and they could have called someone preferably Alejandro. At least he'll make a pretty corpse.
Also, Ale or David dying would be the ultimate revenge against Guerra, whose dreams would be shattered by either of their deaths. But I think David will live and reject Guerra and Ale will die to save David and his little-one -on-the-way, and Gabriela from Guerra. That will hurt Guerra while Gaby can move on knowing all the men of her life loved her fiercely, even to death.

LA PATRONA

Interesting comments, all. I'm afraid I'm predicting the typical telenovela ending. I think something will happen that will absolutely and finally convince Alejandro about his mother's evil nature. And I think they'll end up together, David with them and the new baby as well. I don't think the writers would kill off Ale, even though they have gone for the cliché of having Gaby/Vero and Ale split up once again in "ultimas semanas".

The one I'm worried about is Francisca, and I could scream every time she lies about her pain and refuses to see a doctor. And David, also in complete denial, has put her more at risk by going to live with the evil granny. Having David around made her want to live.

LA PATRONA:

I hope you're right about there being a felices para siempre for Ale/Gaby. After so many deaths, it would be fitting that they get an fps. I'm sure this was the only non-narco novela where so many people ended up dead. I can't think of one, but I'm a newbie to Tns.

I wasn't even thinking that Francisca is in as much danger as you hinted Novelera. She needs to tell Vero about it, or Ceci needs to spill the beans. Everyone teally was pulling for her and Gaston, but Max's death did what his hatred of Gaston didn't-it made her rule out marrying.

I'm pretty sure Gaston and Irene are gonna die because Guerra is gonna go to the bank in DF and watch the video of whomever impersonated her, and immediately know it was Irene. And of course, Gaston is Vero's mano executor, so he has to die for Guerra so as to make the townspeople 'get amnesia' about the flyers

PASION PROHIBIDA
NovelaMan, thanks once again for delivering a wonderfully thorough recap!
AdrianaNoel: I was mostly cringing at Ariel sobbing and screaming into that pillow when he smelled the perfume, but it could have been any of the other cringe-worthy events you mentioned also! I agree that the writers have given us plenty of suspense without resorting to murders, kidnappings, etc, which is kind of refreshing. However, some well deserved slapping is definitely in order: Nina, for being the most annoying whiner ever; Flavia, for being the worst mother; Yair, for being a drama queen; Ariel, for being the most clueless billionaire businessman. Did I miss anyone?
(AnotherAmy: ... and when Ariel showed up at the Country House, the back patio doors were standing wide open...)

Pasion Prohibida

J in Oregon, glad you showed up, I was really looking forward to hearing about your cringe worthy moment.
The one where Ariel smells the pillow was a highlight, especially since it would have been such an easy thing to correct (by cleaning the da.mn place).
LOL at the idea of the electric bill, but have any of you ever imagined Bruno as a good housekeeper? This is the same guy who can't manage to carry his bag up the stairs whenever he decides he wants to leave the mansion for a second or two.

Shallowgak, thank you for the twitter links; it occurs to me that if Ariel or Neena read any of the messages, they would have a pretty good idea that something is not right :)) I know the links are just for the audience, but it is so obvious that Neena would be all over Bruno's twitter, facebook, yahoo, gmail, hotmail, pinterest etc etc etc...

PASION PROHIBIDA
Hahaha, good point AdrianaNoel...Nina would be the kind of wife to go thru Bruno's pockets every night while he is in the shower. She evolved from innocent schoolgirl to "prometida" overnight, and it has not been a convincing transition. Picturing the wedding night of those two, now that IS cringe-worthy!

I'm here; spent the weekend wondering if I'd missed a product placement for Bianca's signature fragrance.
As you said AdrianaNoel, Bianca does an excellent "ofendida." Let's see her talk her way out of this one.

Novela Man, thanks a lot for the 5 part recap; only 5 more episodes!
I echo everybody's great comments that a big draw for PP is the intense drama without physical violence. The rape, miscellaneous slaps, and I think a fistfight? with that Sebas guy and Yair?
Yes, hooked from the beginning! Also like that PP is not so predictable. Even with 5 epi to go we don't really know how we're ending up, do we? And also, it is morally sort of ambiguous.

Side note, I came across some old pics of JC, he looked nothing like our slick Brunito. Very scruffy and hairy!

LA PATRONA - Monday (epi 112)

"últimos capítulos"

Balmy questions Anibal on Antonia's days as a prostitute,
he denies it all,

Gastón and Cecilia worry about Francisca,
who sleeps a lot and doesn't want to eat,

Macario and Lucas bring Antonia the news about Lagarto being in the hospital,
not because he is dying, but to get him ready for court,
Antonia has other plans,

Alejandro visits Lagarto,
after a couple of go 'rounds, Lagarto finally agrees to talk, again,
as Alejandro gets comfortable,
the nurses pop in to take Lagarto for his dialysis,

so Alejandro visits Lucia,
but Veronica is there, he doesn't want to stay,

Ricardo visits his client, is it Louise,
(this is too weird)
she thanks him, she hugs him,
Ricardo is seeing her in her undies,
she snaps him out of it,
shows him the house, the bedroom,
then he sees her back in her undies on top of him on the bed,
she snaps him out of it again,
then takes off her clothes and jumps on him, for real,
Ricardo at last tears himself away, to her disappointment,

Macario and Lucas swing by the hospital to plant a giant bomb under Lagarto's bed,
Francisca awakes, and heads for the hospital as well, to stop them,
runs into Alejandro there, on his way out,
Alejandro goes from "are you dreaming this" to telling the station nurse there is a bomb,
creating a panic,
Alejandro finds the bomb, and helps Lagarto get out of there, maybe,
Francisca and Veronica move Lucia to safety,
the bomb blows,

Constanza and Patti chit chat about Ricardo,
Patti thinks it's best for Ricardito, that they are separated,

Balmy is thoroughly ticked that someone bombed the hospital,
(he is finally getting the idea)
in his office with Alej, Rick, Vera, Gastón,
he knows they are all holding back and he wants the truth,

Macario and Lucas swing by the used-to-be Doll House, hand Brigette a wad of money to say they have been there for two hours,
over drinks, Macario tells the story of the mine explosion that killed Gabriela and Lucas' father,
Lucas looks deep in thought,
for about a minute, then moves on, I think he likes Antonia's money,
Macario is still a bit unsettled with Lucas killing his cousin Chopo,
Macario also tells him about Fernando raping Gabriela,

Gastón and Francisca swing by the radio station to make his broadcast,
he tells about the bombing, and denounces the Lobos,
(Antonia, listening, wants him dead),
Francisca collapses, Gastón takes her to the hospital,

David and Cecilia, who have been eating ice cream and walking/talking in the park,
run into Lucas,
who brings up the part about David's father being a rapist,
David starts thrashing him, (like Alejandro on Macario)
Cecilia finds enough help to split them up,

as Gastón awaits word on Francisca, he bumps into Veronica and Dr. Lucho,
they are all worried,

after another Antonia/Anibal chat,
she seems to be losing patience with Anibal's lack of enthusiasm,
in terrorizing the town.

Pasion Prohibida
Monday (part 1)

[Amy, I hadn't yet seen the episode when I read your comment, but I was already nervous about it; after reading your brief tease, you've only made things worse :))]

We’re back to Ariel trying to asphyxiate himself with Bianca’s pillow (wouldn’t that solve a lot of problems?). Then he stumbles through the house, throws around some chairs and finds a white pashmina that Bianca left behind. He smells it, too, as his phone rings. It’s Willy, wanting to know if he went to the country house and assuring him (in case there was still any doubt) that B&B have been betraying him for months, making a him look like a fool.
Ariel asks Willy to stop, his face cringed and on the verge of a heart attack. Willy reminds him that he always warned him about the Santillanas. Ariel calls him “maldito!” hangs up and throws some other things around, until he collapses to the floor, bawling.

Saul and Willy talk about the pashmina (did they put it there?). Willy asks him to leave the Piamontes because by now surely everybody knows about him.
In the garden at Francisca’s, Bruno tells Neena Saul is the spy. She wants to call the police, but Bruno has other plans and leaves her alone. In the car he calls Bianca, who tells him that Ariel has been to the country house and that now they are lost. Before Bruno hangs up, Bianca asks him if he’ll confess the truth to Ariel…Knowing Bruno, that is the last thing on his mind…

Flavia comes to talk to Bianca, who is in a real bad shape. Bianca tells her she’s lost, but Flavia, good mother that she is, advices her daughter to deny everything, no matter what proof Ariel might have.

The servants talk about Willy, Saul, Ariel being upset over the supposed B&B romance…And Tere remembers when she saw Bianca’s purse that time when she went to take Bruno his phone charger. BANG!

(just a side note: 9 minutes into the show and my pulse is racing, I’m barely able to take notes for the recap)

We’re back with Flavia and Bianca. Flavia tries to call Ariel, who isn’t answering. Barely able to breath, Bianca starts to pack her bags, but Flavia urges her to fight till the end. Bianca can’t do it, though, she’s at the end of her rope and is tired of this game. Flavia calms her, the fact that Ariel went to the country house doesn’t prove anything and as long as she’s there, she won’t allow Bianca to leave. Bianca is crying, repeats that she can’t handle it anymore. If Ariel arrives now, Bianca wouldn’t be able to play the ofendida game, she is completely out of it.

Bruno arrives in the country and sees the house is all messed up (by Ariel). Then he notices the pashmina, too, smells it, his conclusion is quite obvious.

Flavia is hugging Bianca, telling her that the worst is that now Ariel will know that Willy was right al along (that is the worst?!!). Bianca doesn’t care about that, all she wants is to stop running from her destiny.
When Flavia leaves, Bianca kind of smiles (I bet she thinks this will be a way for her and Bruno to finally be together). She calls Bruno, who is still at the country house and tells him that things couldn’t be worst and this is the best moment to leave the city, run away. But Bruno says no (duh!). Bianca insists they could leave for Mexico, Columbia, Europa…but Bruno wants to talk with tio, first, because he didn’t betray him (!), he just made the mistake of falling in love with his wife (gotta love Bruno’s reasoning). But Bianca gives him his sentence: they either run, or they’ll have to confront the humiliation.

Pasion Prohibida
Monday (part 2)

Ariel is in a bar, drinking his sorrow away. He remembers how Willy made him an imbecile and breaks the glass in his hand (I’ve always wanted to do this!)

Neena came back home alone and now tells Deniz that Saul was the spy. Don Salo, Tere and Celeste are also there, Neena tries to tell them about the B&B rumor, but they already know, Tere says. How dare Willy invent such a thing, Neena wonders and then leaves.

Crying on the sofa, Bruno remembers the first time Bianca came to the house, when she still thought he was away.

Ariel visits Deniz (if he spends too much time in the city, B&B will have the time to get theirs stories straight). She insists to clean his hand, and then asks if he wants to talk about Saul. No, that’s not it; Ariel wants to discuss Bruno and the fact that he is Bianca’s lover. Bang!
Deniz offers to prepare him a tea, saying that he can’t trust Willy to much, all this could be a conspiracy. Yes, but then how about the ticket Bianca got in front of the house, Ariel asks. Deniz isn’t defending Bianca, she’s had doubts about B&B for a long time, but they need proof if they want to condemn them. So what he has to do is go home and talk to them.

Bruno is back home, just in time for Neena to throw another one of her hissy fits (which is the very last thing Bruno is in the mood for right now). He tells her he went to the country house, and then asks about tio and Bianca, but Neena doesn’t know anything about any of them. Bruno then says he has to go pack, he’s leaving the house. But what about our wedding?? Neena wants to know. And just when Bruno is telling her that he wanted things to work out but now it will be imposible, stupid Flavia walks in and tells Neena that Bruno is nervous because of Willy’s gossip and, in order to shut him up, they should just get married faster.

Nico and Pene talk about B&B, too, all the coincidences, the fact that Bianca got so upset when she was confronted, had the typical guilty attitude, stopped calling to ask about the kids. Pene still resists the idea, but Bruno mentions Bruno deciding to marry Neena to cover his sin. Yeah, Bruno would never be drawn to a girl like Neena, Pene realizes, Bianca is the kind of woman he likes.

Willy pays Saul some money, advices him to leave the town until the things settle down. Saul tells him there is still not enough proof against B&B, but for Willy is enough.

Neena asks Bruno not to leave, but Bruno doesn’t want to upset Ariel anymore. Flavia is there, too, assuring Neena that Bruno won’t break up with her. Bruno first wants to go pack his bag and then they’ll talk about the two of them, ALONE!

Enter Ariel!

Pasion Prohibida
Monday (part 3)

Ariel wants to talk to Bruno and Bianca, but that will be hard, since Bianca left the house, Flavia says, because she felt humiliated by the lack on confidence. Neena adds her two cents about not trusting his wife and his nephew blah blah…, Ariel just stares at Bruno, then finds out that he was about to leave too…
…. because poor Bruno felt so uncomfortable with this gossip, that he couldn’t handle it, anymore.
But this time Ariel isn’t falling for any of it, screams at Neena to go and both she and Flavia have no other option but to leave them alone.

Tere tells the servants Ariel is home, they are all crazy curious (who can blame them?).

In the living room, Ariel calls Bianca, who has her phone turned off.

Ariel: “Do you have something to tell me?”
Bruno: “Yes, plenty, but I don’t even know where to begin. This is very difficult for me.”
Ariel: “I was at the country house, I found Bianca’s pashmina, her smell on the bed.”
Dramatic pause…
Ariel: “That means it’s true! You and Bianca are lovers!”
Bruno stares…

Flavia goes to Neena’s room, advices her she needs to keep Bruno close to her. But Neena would never mistrust Bruno, and poor Bianca, what she must be going through… And her dad is so upset. Yeah, but, Flavia urges her, think about yourself and about the wedding, this will help convince your dad the gossip is just a lie.

In the living room:

Ariel: “Talk! Will you tell me this is all Willy’s invention?”
Bruno: “Tio, think about it, he brought his spy here, in the house, to hurt us.”
Ariel: “So, you’re denying everything!”
Bruno: “Tio, that man had a key to the house, which means he was in there; he could have planted all the evidence. He wanted you to believe him and you did. It was the perfect trap and you fell for it.”

So this is the way Brunito is going with this. Even without Bianca there, to help him, he’s doing a pretty good job, I must say.

Ariel: “Ok, then let’s suppose Willy did all this, but what about the speeding ticket?”
Bruno: “I have no idea about this. You need to ask Bianca.”

And Bruno calls her and hands the phone to Ariel. Bianca seems to be in a hotel, doesn’t want to tell Ariel where, but that he is offending her in her dignity and that is why she left. Ariel wants to talk to her, solve things. Bianca tells him she is in one of his hotels. Then wants to talk to Bruno (ha!! She’s got ba.lls, I’ll give her that!) and warns him she’ll tell Ariel the truth. Bruno pretends he doesn’t hear her, but then Bianca announces him that she’s pregnant! (WHAT? And more importantly, WHO IS THE DADDY??)

Pasion Prohibida
Monday (part 4)

Deniz and Francisca are drinking tea at Deniz’ and talking about Ariel, B&B, Willy, how worried Deniz is and she kind of believes Willy, too. Francisca is shocked, but then Deniz mentions Yair’s secret, too (I knew he had to come up one of these days).

Bruno is with Neena, now, he isn’t sure if he’ll stay or leave. Ariel went to speak with Bianca, so let’s see how that goes. Neena asks reassurance that nothing will break them up, but Bruno first wants to solve this problem. But Neena wants to do things her way this time: the only way for Ariel to realize everything is a lie is to see Bruno happy, so they need to get married faster. In 8 freakin’ days!!!

Nico and Pene are with Willy, they want to know all the truth. Willy assures them everything that will tell them IS the truth.

Bruno is back in his room (what did he tell Neena??), he calls Bianca again, asking her to clarify what she’d said earlier, it was a lie, right? He’s not ready to accept he loves his uncle’s wife or that he’s having her baby (so it’s his?). He tells her how he tried to tell the truth, but he wasn’t capable to confront Ariel. Bianca is tired to keep pretending about something that will be found out, anyway. But Bruno thinks they still have a way out, since Saul was a spy that could have planted everything in the country house. Bianca is surprised (not really) that Bruno keeps acting like a coward, but Bruno thinks this is the last thing they can do if they don’t want to hurt their loved ones. Bianca prefers to hurt them with the truth, than keep the lie alive. Bruno pleads with her to keep quiet, and just then there is a knock on Bianca’s door. Yes, she will tell the truth, and he will hear it all, Bianca says and goes to answer, leaving the phone open.

Ariel: “You had no reason to leave the house.”
Bianca: “Do you still think I’m Bruno’s amante?”
Ariel: “Aren’t you? All the proof says that.”
Bruno listens on…
Bianca: “The proof doesn’t matter, but my word does.”
Ariel: “Perfect! I’m listening!”

The End

4 episodes left, people, have your tranquillizers ready because this will be ‘DE INFARTO’

PS: for anyone who has seen the promos for the last episodes, I think they are a dream again…

PASION PROHIBIDA

I was wrong again! I thought that when Ariel started crying on the pillows or Brunos house it would turn out to be a fantasy of Willy. But no. I bet i know what happens to the baby but im not saying anything else. J in Oregon I LOLd at "Yair, for being a drama queen" Ariel is the only one who doesnt need a slap. He needs a sledge hammer to knock some sense into him!
Someone said that when Bruno thought Bianca entered his bedroom when it was Nina, they expected Nina to do the math after hearing the B&B "rumors". I wasnt paying too much attention (Oh god! I hope im not becoming as dim witted as Nina).

PASIóN PROHIBIDA

Love is a reciprocal torture.
-Marcel Proust

AdrianaNoel - I felt the same ('my pulse is racing..') as I was watching last night. Thanks for another awesome recap.

My word! only 4 episodes to go, and it feels like an eternity. Please end this (bittersweet?) torture already.

Pasión Prohibida,

thanks so much Adriana Noel,
great recap!

ok, so Ariel seems to have calmed down some,
thanks in part to Denis, who always walks the middle of the road,

back at the home front,
Flavia, the stage director, is handing out everyone's lines,

Bianca develops a plan,
so does Neena who moves into the thick of it,
and moves up the marriage,
(8 days, hopefully we will be gone by then)
and Bruno who denies nothing, and answers Ariel's accusations with a tormented stare, wow,

Nicolas and Penelope rush to see Guillo,
who couldn't be more proud of himself,

so Bianca, who has moved a way from the scene of the crime,
puts everyone on edge, and starts calling the shots,

pregnant ???

is she, or is she just rattling Bruno, which she loves to do when he does his calm the waters routine and it will all go away,

since she so quickly had an abortion earlier, this kind of takes this out-of-play,

except if she uses it for say to get Ariel to back off,

or if it's Bruno's baby, use it to force Bruno to take a stand, finally, and reveal their lie,
or...

hmm,

PASION PROHIBIDA

Well, I spoke too soon regarding the pregnancy thing... so they're going to throw that one in the mix in the last five days. I'm thinking she's "fingiendo" out of desperation, but we'll see. We've had no fainting or nausea clues, and it just came from out of no where, like she's just grasping for anything that will get Bruno to leave with her.

Ariel, once again, is seeming to backpedal. WHAT?? Ok, good point that Saul had been to the house and could have planted the evidence (and even sprayed the pillow with her perfume), but REALLY? Ariel goes from zero to sixty and back to zero again (or maybe back to 25?) so often it's amazing he doesn't get whiplash.

I'm DYING for someone to tell FLAVIA to go back to her room and mind her own business. So annoying!

Anyone notice how Neeeena over-enunciates everthing? "I'm your PROH-MET-EEE-DAH". (New drinking game... take a shot every time she says "prometida"). That's always bugged me about her, among many other things. Especially how she seems to overemphasize those rolling r's.

So, Bianca's (maybe) pregnant and Ariel's back pedaling AGAIN. NO. LO PUEDO. CREER.

Bianca, pleeeeeeeeeeeease rip off the bandaid tonight. PLEASE. (How much you want to bet it's not going to happen?)

El Noveno Mandamiento
(The Ninth Commandment)

Karamy:
Thanks for the heads-up. I just checked Las próximas and didn't see anything about this novela. I'm unfamiliar with this one but it does have a dynamite cast. For what it's worth, here's my translation of Uni's quick and dirty run-down on their website. (I'll add this to Las próximas too.)

This 2001 novela, will be shown on Unimás starting Monday, June 24, from 7-9am CST, 8-10am EST.

Here is what Univision's page, novelasyseries.univision.com, has to say about it:

"Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife"

A story of love and sin

Isabel (Daniela Castro) and Leandro are very much in love and soon to be married. Before the wedding, Leandro has to take a trip. He wants to spend the night before his departure with his beloved Isabel.

But Clara (Chantal Andere), Isabel's sister, has always been in love with Leandro and she is prepared to do anything to separate them. That very night she will set a trap for them that will be fatal to their love.

This incident will mark their lives forever. Clara will manage, with her lies, to deceive Leandro and get him to marry her. Isabel will have to go away and forget about her great love. Will they recover their love one day?

The Ninth Commandment will follow the family forever since, years later, the brothers Bruno (Alejandro Ibarra) and Rodrigo Betancourt (Francisco Gattorno) will also forget about not coveting thy neighbor's wife. Ana (Daniela Castro), Isabel's daughter, will become the 'apple of discord' between these two brothers. Will the same tragic story be repeated? Will there be a happy ending? Don't miss El Noveno Mandimiento!

LA PATRONA Y CIELOS

Went to Six Flags in Vallejo with my family yesterday and didn't get home until late, so I saw no novelas and will have to play catch-up.

I'll try to do a La Patrona recap on Wednesday evening.

El Noveno Mandamiento

Thanks, NM. I'm definitely going to give this one a go. The cast really is promising. 2 hrs. would normally be too much, but for the 1st time in the 5 years that I've been watching novelas, I'm not watching any of Univision's current crop, and the first Telemundo novela (La Patrona) I've ever followed is soon to end.

Karamy

CIELOS:

- Ximena visits Don Cleto to make peace with him (we know it’s because she’s leaving). She brings an old photo of the two of them and her mom. They both reminisce about the old days and get weepy. He gives her an image of the Virgin that her mother gave him years ago, and that he’s always carried in his wallet for protection.
- Don Cleto decides to move the cocaine out of his bodega. Unfortunately for him, one of his men is on AC’s payroll and calls AC with the info of when and where the drugs will be transported. AC calls Danny. Danny calls Ponte, Marco tags along with Ponte and a team of cops, and they bust Don Cleto’s trucks filled with drugs. The driver had Cleto’s i.d. to show they were shipping “produce” for the Don. Danny is livid when he finds out who the “big fish” is. He can’t believe AC set up his father-in-law.
- When Turco finds out that AC is setting up his wife’s father/the grandpa of his kids to get busted by the feds, he expresses his shock and disapproval. AC says he won’t let Cleto rot in prison and will rescue him—making him a hero in Ximena’s eyes. Turco doesn’t believe him.
- AC gets ticked and tells Turco that he doesn’t like how he’s been disagreeing with some many of his decisions lately. Turco says that’s what he’s paid for—to advise him. AC threatens that no one, not even Turco, is indispensible. (AC is loyal to no one and I think Turco is just starting to realize this.)
- Turco then goes to Ximena in her room and hands her the tickets and encourages her to run away as she planned. He tells her to change the tickets once she gets to her next destination, so as to further throw AC off her trail. He doesn’t want to know any details—the less he knows, the better. But, if she needs money, she should get in touch with him.
- They hug, and it is clear Turco is doing everything in his power to hold himself back from doing more. Ximena finally gets it and asks if he’s in love with her. He answers with a non-answer—basically saying being in love with her would mean death for him. She doesn’t push any further. They both know the answer. She does push to know why he changed his mind. Turco refuses to tell her. The audience knows he’s trying to spare her the pain of seeing her father arrested, and finding out who arranged it.
- AC later sees Ximena and Turco walking and talking together, and a jealous look passes over his face. He later notices how nervous Turco looks, and Turco shakes it off as just being on edge about all the guests and potential dangers at the party- including Alejandro bringing uninvited guests, like some singer as a surprise for AC.
- Cleto shows up at the party with Topo…and two huge guards that Topo brought as protection.
- Mati expresses her suspicions about Leo to Chacorta, who then shares them with AC. AC brushes it off. He just wants to get into Claudia/Leo’s pants.
- Leo sees Mati coming on strong to Beto.

Gotta run…more later.

LA PATRONA

Thanks, Deb, for your great recap. As always you give the story such poetry.

What intrigued me most about this episode was that, after the bomb explosion, an outraged Rod had the tigres report to the police station for questioning. He gave the tigres an ultimatum "talk or you don't leave the jail". Later, after a discussion, the clear implication was that the tigres had given Rod at least some information and they all had formed a plan about which we can only speculate. So right now we don't know how much Rod knows, but we do know he didn't arrest any of them, and they all parted on civil terms.

Alejandro, however, continued his snit as he left the police station - he gave Gabriela one of his withering looks. I'm sorry I missed all the discussion over the weekend about his wrong headed defense of Antonia and his out of proportion anger at Gabriela. While I hope he doesn't die, I do believe he, Gabriela or Lucia will be gravely injured/ill before the end of the TN. His "sins/crimes" against Gabriela haven't been so bad as to deserve death, and she is very deserving of a happily ever after.

Thank God Gaston got Fran to the hospital. I really like this character, and she has already suffered terribly. I want so much for her to have a felices para simper.

Beth

Beth,

Balmy's anger at the explosion occurring in the hospital actually reminded me how despicable it really was. I mean, it's par for the course with Antonia to blow-up a hospital if it helps hide her crimes, but Balmy's anger at it, as an outsider, gives you some perspective, that no, this is not normal. He basically said that even in declared wars, combatants avoid attacking hospitals because it's such a low thing to do.

Re Alejandro and his withering look. I don't know if I want to slowly remove his eyebrow hairs with tweezers for being so hard-headed, or the writers for coming up with such a cliche way to keep him and GabyVero apart. They were apart for TEN YEARS already--they didn't need to come up with something so hackneyed to keep them apart in the ultimas semanas. Argh!

The only reason I haven't completely lost hope that he's going to end up with a bullet to the chest dead for Gaby's sake, is because Alejandro's attitude toward his mother since Max and Val's death is what actually pulled Balmaceda from Antonia. You could read his thoughts at the funeral: "If her own son doesn't believe her, why should I?"

Cielos
I found it odd that the trucker had Don Cleto's ID. It looked like a drivers license. Seems like it would be a bill of lading or similar document.

I'm really concerned for Turco, he is a good bad guy.

LA PATRONA

Oh, I do hope that Alejandro does not die. He is much too handsome for this fate. Knowing every evil that his mother committed will still be painful for him even if he lives and begins a new life.

The fact that he was hurt so deeply by recent events does show an appealing, sensitive side that is endearing to all mothers. Even though he gradually was accepting the fact of her crimes, this personal aspect of her demeanor
was too much for him to absorb emotionally, and he was most likely thinking, "Why is it necessary to rub it in and pile it on even higher?" The state of one's emotions can often wipe out rational thinking. I guess he's floundering trying to hang on to some shred of decency to provide some kind of protection for his mother's image and pride.

In the Laci Peterson case, the image of Scott Peterson's mother
is an indelible one to me. She sat through that trial every day with her supplemental oxygen and listened to one horrible thing after another about her son.
Yet, one could tell that she loved her son very much. My heart went out to her.

Alejandro was trying to put up a good front with all of the other
hideous things he learned about his mother, but this personal
attack - which has been reported earlier - brought up some childhood memories, and it was too much to bear. He is not a man of iron. He is appealingly human
in a telenova world.

I agree with the comments on the triteness of the script wherein Gab/Vero did not reveal the news of their baby to Ale. For the most part, I think the script has been well written.

Thanks to all recappers for clarifying many aspects and proelling the novela onward.
He is human

LA PATRONA

J desde NYC - yes, the lobos, especially Antonia, have increased the level of indiscriminate violence as the tigres and Balmy close in on them. And Antonia is looking to step it up another notch by killing Gaston. A bombing in a hospital is outrageous. I was glad to see Balmy finally say, 'Enough!' For a while now he's watched events unfold and seemed unable to stop the killings or get assistance from Gaby's gang.

Didn't Gaston say on the radio that two people were killed in the explosion? Part of a plan to take the lobo's focus off Chacon?

Re Ale, unless the writers have some different, unique twist for this latest fit of irrational anger on his part, this plot line is, as you said, cliched and overused. Re Ale's eyebrows - WAX should do it!

I just saw what the iMac editer did to my last post. It should be 'para siempre' - not simper.

Beth

Cielos

Thanks very much, Vivi, for an excellent recap. I think you covered most of the important points clearly and concisely.

I can't think of much you left out. Monica swears in front of Triste that, in memory of her brothers, she's not going to let Aurelio make a fool of her any longer. I don't think she's taken Miss Sinaloa to see Chacorta yet, but she (Mónica) already knows that Chacorta is Aurelio's right-hand man, and that even if Chacorta gave the orders to Miss Sinaloa to kill Isidro, they ultimately came from Aurelio.

The only other thing I recall was Chacorta's asking Aurelio what he was going to do about the notebook. I assume that's Sonia's little black book that was stolen from the Cardinal when he was murdered. I think Marco's guys are listening when this conversation takes place, but I'm not sure whether they know the significance of the notebook. Aurelio also mentions that Letrudo is very nervous about possibly being mentioned in the notebook, but Marco's listeners don't know who Letrudo is (though Ponte, who isn't present, heard people talk about Letrudo when they gunned down Ponte and associates early on and left Ponte for dead).

One thing that puzzled me is that in the scene between Mati and Heriberto, Leo can be seen in the background standing in an open door and presumably listening. How can she be so careless about being seen? Apparently neither Mati (whose back was to her) nor Beto saw her, but if I could see her, so too could then, no?

EL SENOR/CIELOS

Vivi and Juanita - thanks so much for your recaps. I had not gotten the part about AC and Chacorta discussing the little black book before the party. So now the good guys know who has the book and therefore who made the hit on the Cardinal.

Vivi, the two scenes that stood out last night were Ximena with her father and Ximena with Turco, and you captured them beautifully. These are the two men who would die for her, and she's leaving both of them (even though Cleto doesn't know it yet).

On a practical note Leo has got to pick up all those microphones she's placed around the hacienda so no one finds them.

Good to see Cabo has some non-work out clothes. He looked pretty guapo. His attempts to dress Tijeras were hilarious.

Now Cabo wants to have Oscar killed….

I thought Danny was going to have a stroke when he was on the phone with AC. Cleto is probably the last drug lord he wants as a prisoner.

I loved the little discussion between Irina and Ramiro. No more cheap jewelry - diamonds are a girl's best friend!

Beth

Cielos

Beth, you raise an interesting point about the microphones. They're not exactly tiny and could rather easily be discovered. OTOH, I imagine Orejas and the other listeners are delighted to be able to listen to Aurelio's private conversations and may not be in any hurry to lose this source of information.

As for Sonia's black book, I don't know whether the good guys realize that the "libreta" is Sonia's black book. Orejas did take notes, and he wrote "Letrudo" prominently, but I don't know whether they have enough information yet to connect the dots.

BTW, I too loved the scene between Ramiro and Irina where she makes it clear that she does what she does simply because she likes to live well, and that means he'd better start coming up with something better than the jewelry he's been giving her, at which point she drops one such piece into his drink and walks off.

LA PATRONA - Tuesday, (epi 113)
part 1

wow,

Gastón, Veronica and Dr. Duenda, hover around Francisca at her hospital bed,
the tormented Francisca is thoroughly upset that Gastón brought her to the hospital,
and then goes on to explain again,
that what's meant to happen will happen and she will soon be on her way,

the doctor stops by with the test results,
(Dr. Duenda slips out),
let's see anemic, and oh yeah, you are pregnant,
everyone but Francisca, myself included, are thoroughly elated,
they link it back to her vision with the kids,
ahha, so Tigre and Max are happy for you as well,
she still isn't buying it,

Ricardo chats with Alejandro,
the merry widow calls, ah her name is Luisa,
he tells Alejandro about her,
Alejandro says go for it, (and wasn't he the one that slept with Ricardo's wife)

Francisca returns home,
Constanza and Veronica are still working on her,
she slowly warms up to being pregnant,
is that a smile she has?

Ricardo stops by to see to see his client Luisa,
and she is dressed rather provocatively,
and the glasses come off,
(and from the way she treats him, Ricardo must be super human),
he thanks her,

Cecilia is off to see David at Francisca's
she takes her bicycle,

Lagarto is buried, it's mostly police,
but Veronica and Antonia square off,
Balmy stands next to Veronica, walks her out,
Alejandro, watches from a distance,

Cecilia, on her bike, comes upon an accident,
it's Lucas (with a ski mask like Fernandos' on),
he hauls her off into the woods,

suave Ricardo returns home,
Ines is packing his things so that he can live with her,
he throws her out, in too many words,
Constanza overhears, you spent the night with another woman,

Veronica arrives at Francisca's, where is Cecilia,
Francisca gets one of her far away looks, ut oh,
but she thinks she can find her, they jump in the car,

a proud Lucas is finishing up, standing over a battered Cecilia, she isn't moving,
he tries to awake her, she's dead, (I don't think this was part of the plan), he freaks,
he takes off the mask,
and we see an almost invisible squint in Cecilia's eyes as she looks at his face,
he runs back to his car, throwing her bicycle into the woods along the way,

Lucho, at the mansion, is grabbed by Luceita, who makes a play for him,
he somehow admits that he is taken with Irene, which confuses them both,

casanova Ricardo shows up at the Montemar house to see Patti,
no glasses, sweater, open shirt, bluejeans, bouquet and champagne,
he practically rapes Patti on her desk,
stalker Ines, who has followed him, calls Patti,
and tells her about the other woman he spent the night with,
Patti throws him out, in too few words,
Irene, who has had some cute facial expressions lately,
suggests, maybe you shouldn't be so hard on him,

a frantic search in the woods is on for Cecilia,
(this was weird, because we can guess Veronica was with Gastón, Francisca, and David,
but we only see fleeting glances of the back of her,
like when everyone ran into the woods, and she went the other direction),
but she did call Balmy, who has learned not to second guess the good bruja,
and is on the way pronto with Alejandro and police in tow,

(I didn't really get Antonia's plan since she didn't voice it,
but Lucas's killing Cecilia didn't seem to be a part of it,
and when he talks to Antonia, raping didn't seem to be part of it either,
but if she's dead now, that seems to be ok)

they find Cecilia's bicycle and Balmy has González and his CSI team,
check for prints,

David at last finds Cecilia, who is barely moving,
he gently holds her in his arms,
and screams for help....

Cielos,

I noticed El Señor de los Cielos went into "capitulos culminantes" this week, this is showing up in regular style avances that air at other times than the show, the same thing that is happening with La Patrona, the other Mexico made novela.

Deb,

Good job. Lucas was only supposed to scare Ceci to make her leave town to get David to break up with her, not rape her. I think if she were dead it would be better for Guerra since as Lucas works for her, people will think Guerra was involved. A dead Ceci would not be able to confirm Lucas as the rapist.

Pati and Ric was funny. He should have grabbed the phone and hung it up immediately. Irene told Patti that she's being too tough on Ric because he stayed with her even though she slept with his best friend. Irene really has changed. She actually gave pretty good advice. She wasn't her usually judgy self, but told Patti Ines to put herself in Ines' shoes.

Anyone need a recap after last night's God awful episode?

:) :)

Recap coming up in a few hours, I left my notes at home. Not much to look forward to, anyway.

Cielos:

Thanks Juanita for the rest of the recap. I couldn't get back to finish yesterday.

I also really enjoyed the scenes with Cabo suggesting clothing for Tijeras, and Irene demanding diamonds.

The scene with Monica and Triste also made an impression on me, and I really hope she never lets herself be hoodwinked by AC again. I know she once tried to have Ximena and the kids killed, but that was before she and AC came to an agreement. She has since kept her word about accepting Ximena's rightful place, but AC has not respected either the personal or business agreements he made with Monica.

We see again last night that AC's lack of loyalty is becoming the main issue. Ximena is leaving him because of it. Other drug bosses like Topo don't want to do business with him because of it. Danny now realizes that if AC wasn't loyal to his suegro, he for sure will throw Danny under the bus. Alma scolds him and Chacorta about the when she hears they have planned something against Cleto and says they will both end up alone because of their lack of loyalty. And we've already seen Turco's reaction.

I too fear that Turco will not be long for this world, nor will Aida if Ximena manages to escape.

La Patrona:

Thanks so much Deb. I was both happy with the writers last night because of Fran's pregnancy, and cursing them because of Ceci's rape and assault. I kept hoping they would find her before Lucas managed to have his way with her. It was a pretty dumb setup. Up until today Ceci has always made sure to go out accompanied. They know she is one of Guerra's targets. Yet, today she not only goes off alone, but also along the lonely deserted road! And Lucas is lucky enough to decide to attack her that day.

I laughed when Rick showed up looking all casual because I always thought that would be the way the writers would show he was finally over his problem. Remember him being fully dressed in a suit and tie in bed with Pati? I hope her sister's talk worked, because I really think Rick and Pati can start over on equal footing now. They both had their adventures and made their mistakes, but they also now both desire and love each other.

Alba & Aida should leave with Ximena. AC is so astute that Ximena is not going to get away. Some of these people are decent, just mixed up in a dirty business.

Just recently the locals have taken up arms against Knights Templar cartel in Coalcoman Michoacan Mex.

Why is Bruno still going thru with the sham marriage to Nina? Ariel already found out about Bruno-Bianca (although, without solid proof); wasn't that the blackmail card Yair was using to ensure that Bruno marries Nina? I'm getting a queasy feeling, because last night Bianca twice referred to her own death in the face of what is happening....she says Nina will marry Bruno "over her dead body", and also confides at her father's tomb that she doesn't want to live...uh-oh.

La Patrona,

thanks so much J desde NYC,
for filling in the blanks,

ah yes, Casual Ric, great name for his new image Vivi,

great scene at the funeral, with Balmy walking off with Veronica, leaving Antonia standing there alone, another thing Veronica has taken from her.

Lucas doesn't even have to do anything for me not to like him, but how inhuman that he passes by his father's wrongful death and gets so fascinated by Macario's rape story of Gabriela, that he just has to try it out himself, (interesting that Macario and Antonia aren't too big on rape) not to mention the fact that he bonked Francisca on the head with a big rock in front of witnesses and is out walking around.

Vivi, you're so right about the lack of loyalty being at the heart of last night's episode and, indeed, of the entire telenovela. As you've done a great job of pointing out, there's almost no one that Aurelio isn't willing to betray.

Variopinta, I agree that Aida and Doña Alba should leave with Ximena (if indeed Ximena manages to get away). The person I fear for most, though, is Turco. Aurelio is already suspicious of Turco's interest in Ximena. If Aurelio discovers Ximena's plane/bus/train tickets (I'm not sure what mode of transportation she's planning to use), Turco's buying the travel agency will probably condemn him.

Oh my gosh, MS's performance last night was heart-wrenching. I actually cried, which I have never done for a tn before. I totally felt her desolation... Bruno is really all she has, and he's not willing to step up for her. J in Oregon, that was some pretty heavy "I don't want to live" foreshadowing. I have a feeling this tn is going to leave me devastated.

I've been sympathetic to Bruno for pretty much this entire thing, but after last night, I'm done with that.

On the other hand, SUBWAY PLUG! We need to add this to the Bingo card, if it isn't on there already :)

I was a little surprised by Leo's behavior at Aurelio's party. I'm referring especially to her response to Mati's singing. Leo was very vocal, and very loud, about how bad she thought Mati's singing was. "Who told that woman she could sing?" Leo asks Alejandro. "She's giving me a headache. She sounds like a howling she-wolf," she continues. Leo then claims that Alejandro is to blame for promoting Mati, and so therefore she (Leo) is not going to have anything to do with him that night. I suppose it's possible that her tirade against Mati's singing is primarily an excuse to be able to avoid having sex with Alejandro that night, but the tirade does seem excessive, both for what she says and, especially, for how loudly she says it. Of course, there's no love lost between Leo and Mati, and surely Leo's over-the-top scorn for Mati's singing also reflects her dislike of the woman, but still, an experienced agent like Leo should realize how dangerous it is to make such a loud, public display of her scorn, especially with Chacorta present.

Perhaps the reason I'm so puzzled by Leo's outburst is that I thought Mati's performance was pretty good, and so Leo's response seemed to me not only unwise but unwarranted.

Tuesday part 1

Ariel arrives at Bianca's hotel and asks her point blank if she's sleeping with Bruno. She denies it, says that Saul planted the evidence in the country house and that she only got a ticket in the area because she went there to check if Bruno was cheating on Neena.
Ariel kind of believes her and asks her to come back home, but Bianca refuses, she wants a divorce.
When Ariel leaves Bianca speaks with Bruno again (he's been listening all the talk on the phone) and tells him that if he doesn't come to see her fast, she'll tell Ariel the truth.

At the ranch Francisca talks with Yair about the CD, tells him Deniz assured her that CD had proof of the B&B affair. But Yair denies this over and over again, he could never keep such a secret from Ariel (ughfpghh$%$&%^&^&^&!!!!!!!!)

At the mansion Neena, Flavia and Santi talk about the wedding that will take place in 8 days. Santi has the sane look of the person who thinks this is crazy, but who's gonna listen to him?

Don Salo, Cele and Camila are having a family moment, eating out at Subway (hehe) and gossiping: Saul was the spy, Bruno was at the ranch, Bianca left home because of the rumor etc...

Pene and Nico are discussing what Willy told them about the proof Ariel found in Bruno's house. Pene is still fighting the evidence, but Nico is more than sure that Saul didn't plant anything, he just discovered stuff.

Ariel talks to Francisca, he is calmer now, Bianca explained him everything. When he mentions how Deniz told him about her suspicions, Francisca gets upset with Deniz for not keeping her opinions to herself and tells Ariel not to listen to the nanny because she loves him and she might be trying to turn him against Bianca (low blow, Francisca, what a low blow!)

In his bed at the ranch Yair is reading when he starts coughing blood again. I guess we can prepare his tomb.

Bianca is talking to Flavia on the phone, tells her she's not coming back home, and the only way Bruno and Neena will get married in 8 days is over her dead body (God, should we prepare another tomb?)

Willy is visiting Eliana, she's leaving for NY. When she finds out that B&B truly are an item, she doesn't care about it anymore.

Bruno finally arrives at Bianca’s apartment, asks her if it’s true she’s pregnant. Bianca tells him she only lied to Ariel so that they could still leave together. But Bruno can’t, he can’t hurt Ariel and Neena. By this Bianca understands that Bruno has no problems hurting her and their baby. Bruno asks for proof that she’s really pregnant.
At this point they’re both crying, this is a sort of goodbye. Bianca is destroyed because Bruno chooses to protect Ariel and Neena instead of her, Bruno says that letting her go is the hardest thing he’s ever had to do, but there is no other way. Finally Bianca tells him that she’s not pregnant, so he can leave her alone, and never come back. But this sounds just like a way for her to make him go…

And yes…because the next day she goes to the cemetery and she tells her father that she IS pregnant and she is very scared for her baby, she really wants to have it, but her heart is broken in a million pieces; if she can’t have the man she loves, life isn’t worth living anymore (not even with a baby, Bianca? COME ON, Bruno is so NOT worth this!)

Tuesday Part 2

The servants and Gabriel are talking about that time when Bruno got drunk on the dock and started talking about his forbidden love. Gabriel remembers how a few days later Bianca came with Bruno to the dock, he even believed they were novios. Celeste drops something, they’re all thinking what we’re thinking.

Silvia and Willy talk about Daniel and how his intentions with Flavia are serious…So serious that by the end of the show Daniel proposes to Flavia. She is overjoyed, wants a big wedding, they do the nasty and then Ivan calls and Flavia simply tells him he was only her poor lover, now she is engaged to be married to someone who can give her all that she wants. So there is that!

Francisca scolds Deniz for having told Ariel about her doubts, she shouldn’t have intervened. If Yair said he had no proof on that CD, that means it was true. Deniz is offended by the accusation, but what can she do, really? Yair listens on and feel miserably about his deceit, but also looks really bad physically.

Bianca visits Penelope, tells her she’ll most probably get a divorce, but she is pregnant with Ariel’s baby! Pene thinks this is a great thing, but Bianca is in such a bad shape, she’s crying, truly breaking my heart. Pene doesn’t know what to say or do to console her, but I have a feeling Bianca is at this point beyond any kind of consolation.

Ariel is in his office, carrying a gun (!). Neena and Ariel walk in, want to know what he’s doing, Ariel explains that he just took the gun out of the safe because he wanted to get out a pearl necklace that belonged to Neena’s mother and that he wants Neena to wear for her wedding. WHY IS HE STILL ON BOARD WITH THE WEDDING WHEN HE’S NOT SURE THE AFFAIR IS A LIE!!!
Neena is impressed with the gift….but where did Ariel put the gun? Back in the safe??? Don’t think so…

Bruno goes to see Bianca again, asks about the pregnancy one more time. She wants to know why he came back. Because he can’t stay away from her, he loves her. And this is like the 10th break-up these two have had and every time is worse. They kiss.
But after that, they start talking about the mess they’ve created with their actions, the secrets that burden them. Bruno thinks Bianca can get away, divorce, but he is trapped, he has to marry Neena (and why is that, for the love of God?), no matter how much he loves her. But they need to put an end to things, stop hurting people.
Bianca tells him that love is stronger than a marriage of convenience or a bunch of lies, love is even stronger than death (Oh, Bianca, don’t you get near that gun!)
Again, they are both crying and it’s very sad, but I hope this is their last break-up, because I can’t take this anymore…
Alone Bianca calls Pene, tells her how bad she is, how alone and empty she feels, how she’s lost everything and her soul is dead. And I believe her every word, because she is really in a state of complete depression.
Obviously Pene gets scares by this speech because she calls Flavia off screen and then we get to see Ariel receives a call from Flavia: he needs to go search for Bianca because she is in a very bad shape, she has a lot of dark thoughts and, on top of it all, she is also pregnant!

3 episodes left and thanks God there are not more, because I don’t have it in me to watch anymore of Bianca’s downfall.

Pasión Prohibida,

thanks so much Adriana Noel for taking the time to write another wonderful summary,

after Bianca did the "offended at Ariel" thingy, and now here is Bruno, who demands proof on the pregnancy, wow, did he just jump down on the wrong side of the fence, (of course this pregnancy thing did come out of nowhere)

what is wrong with Yair anyway, nice blood splatter all over the book he was reading, shouldn't they move him to a tent in the back yard, or something,

interesting that there is not enough evidence against Bruno/Bianca to be a done deal, but everyone now knows/heard about it, (for the staff it just seems to be another episode in the lives of their rich people)

I'm not sure where the Flavia/Daniel thing is going, he originally had some kind of deal with Guillo, but after Guillo found out that he is representing his wife in the divorce, I thought they broke it off, so is Daniel just doing this for fun/real, and how could Flavia even trust a divorce lawyer, poor Ivan, and I suppose Daniel will take her all the way to the altar, before dropping her ??

what did Bianca say to Penelope, "the answer to the question in your head is yes",
Penelope looked truly shocked,

So now Ariel who finally made it back to work, gets hit with the pregnancy bomb, well at least he made it past the heart attack part so far.

it would be tough for a while but I think Ariel would truly forgive Bianca/Bruno, but what is really pulling him down is the deception, and to think, Bianca/Bruno could have just simply walked away together after Ariel forced her to have sex.

PASIóN PROHIBIDA

Adriana Noel - thank you doesn't seem to cut it, but thank you.

holy MOG!!!!! my heart is truly sinking. Bianca at this point needs to be clobbered. I wish she'd just up and leave everyone and everything to get her act together; no man/woman is worth the heartache.

CIELOS

Matilde did sound pretty good last night, considering how she sang the first time we heard her. She's still messing with Betico, inviting his girlfriend and telling her to how to do her hair and what to wear (so she looks like Matilde). Ximena picked up on this right away and when Betico gave her lip about it, she looked sad. He's turning into his dad in both the business and in how he treats women. He was not nice to Raquel (the girlfriend).

Hopefully Alba is so disgusted with her boys that she lets Ximena go. Turco is going to be on his own, poor guy.

Tijeras is like a 12 year old boy and Cabo is his dad, helping him dress, calming him down when he gets excited. It'll be sad when that little family goes down thanks to Oscar. Big mistake leaving that guy alive.

Kelly

Cielos, Tuesday

Juanita, I have been assuming that everything Leo does is strategic (well, almost everything). If she makes a big public show of her disdain for Matilde, then Matilde's counter-attacks are discounted as jealousy.

That is, in fact, what has happened. Matilde tries to tell the boys that there's something off about this Claudia and they blow her off -- Matilde is just jealous, says Aurelio!

By the way, I loved what Ximena said after being introduced to Claudia/Leo: I'm glad to know that not everyone is Colombia is a perra like you, Matilde.

LA PATRONA

Deb - Wow! is right. Thanks for your great recap. What an episode.

Francisca is pregnant! Yea! The TN gods (writers!) answered my prayers. And didn't Gaston look proud? And Fran is slowly believing that Tigre and Max want her to be happy here on earth.

DR. DUENDE just cracks me up. I think the hospital staff think he works there! He's always on the unit. No one stops or questions him. He's gotten the dress code down perfectly. Pretty soon he'll have his name monogramed with an "MD" on his lab coats.

Lagarto was buried? I want to see the body!

I liked the fact that Luisa did not get clingy. She's leaving town, and there will be no strings attached.

Deb, you are so right. Ricardo should have kept quiet about Luisa. Ines really had her crazy on. That scene where she told his house staff about his impotence was wild. Ric should have realized she would do something to mess with his relationship with Pati.

It's official - Lucas has to die.

I wonder if the tigres have made Balmy Rod an official member of the group. Gabriela was quick to call him when they were looking for Ceci.

Beth

La Patrona:

When we last saw Balmy and the Tigres together in his office, they were coming together in agreement on something. I am 100% sure Lagarto is alive and Balmy and the Tigres are collaborating to both keep Lagarto safe until he testifies, and trying to see if Guerra will do something stupid as she gets more cocky.

CIELOS

Kelly,

Yes, Mati is still very much messing with Beto. I suspect she was serious when she said to him, "You have Raquel for when I'm not here, and I have you for when Victor isn't here." Talk about playing with fire...I can't wait until she gets burned.

CIELOS

Wow, NovelaMaven, I feel like such a dummy! I too had been assuming that everything Leo did was deliberate and strategic, but I'm embarrassed to say that I never thought of the explanation you've given. I'm sure you're right.

And yes, I too loved Ximena's remark upon being introduced to Claudia/Leo.

PASION PROHIBIDA

AdrianaNoel, many, many thanks!
I wil miss watching with you.
Bianca, heartbreaking. So sad when she said to Bruno: "what about me?" after he was blathering about he can't hurt Ariel/Nina.
deb, so true, such an excellent chance blown by B&B blow after what Ariel did? When they had some moral high ground.
Speaking of which, when Ariel said to Bianca "jamas" had he failed to respect her, I was sure she would raise that he forced her, but she let it go. It's forgotten.
I must have misinterpreted the cemetery scence, I thought Bianca said the baby would be her "tesoro" and living proof of her love for Bruno? I saw scene as she definitely is PG, and it's Bruno's.
Queasiness is surging!
Clara

EL SENOR/CIELOS

Re: Leo loudly criticizing Mati's singing. My first thought was that Leo is trying to make it look like the two ladies dislike each other (jealousy or whatever) so that anything Mati says against Leo will be interpreted as catty jealousy on Mati's part. I think Leo immediately picked up on Mati's suspicions of her when they were first introduced and is neutralize her. The negative outcome of this strategy, though, could be stepped up attempts on Mati's part to get more dirt on Leo.

Alba will never leave AC and Chacorta, and she could easily derail Ximena's plans. Aida is in danger now whether or not Ximena leaves. AC was clearly suspicious about Ximena's phone call to Aida and, I think, didn't completely buy her story. It would make sense that AC will now support the attempt to bring Victorcito to the ranch. Ximena should give those tickets to Aida and reformulate her escape plan.

Is Raquel supposed to be the same age as Beto? Didn't Aida tell Ximena about one of Beto's girlfriends who is/was a schoolmate? Raquel looks like a mid-20's hooker when she is all tarted up, but in jeans and a plaid shirt she definitely looked younger. Or is this the prostitute Mati found for Beto?

Beth

Passion Prohibida

Clara, yes, this is what she said, the baby is her tesoro and it's Bruno's. But then she started to say how she won't be able to live without him. What about your baby?? I know Bianca is not the most maternal person, but she does want this baby...maybe she just thinks that her heart is so broken, she has nothing left to give...which she pretty much said to Pene.

Shallowgal, I wish Bianca would leave them all behind, too; the affair is still not clear, she could get a nice settlement out of Ariel and go far away with her baby. Bruno, cobarde that he is, I don't think would be able to stay away from her for a long time, anyway...I could totally see him crawling back to her once the "prometida" turned her scoldings into the "esposa" kind.

Deb, I laughed at your mention about Yair not keeping the sheets and the book clean...this guy can't do nothing right...
B&B should have totally left together after the rape...Bruno was already supposedly gone, it would have been so easy...

Amy, there were so many anvils dropped last night about how this is gonna end, that I don't think any of us has any doubts anymore...just a tiny hope.
MS has been truly great, she goes from crazy eyes to broken heart to wronged wife in a second and she is dead on in every scene.

J in Oregon, this was the deal with Yair, but now Bruno thinks that by not marrying Neena he proves that Willy is right and also, he'd hurt el tio y la prima.
This is all a big mess, but on the plus side, it will be over soon.

PASIóN PROHIBIDA

wouldn't it be wonderful if all of us here in this PP forum had an input on the script writing, and that TM would heed us?

ita, Adriana Noel, that Bruno would crawl back to Bianca. lol on "prometida scoldings... to esposa kind."

Cielos

Alba told Chacorta if he took Victorcito away from his mother, he is no longer her son. She has Matilde's #.
I do think Ximena will give the tickets to Aida. Lil Vic is in the most danger.

Aurelio is going to be mad that Ximena bought the tickets but not as mad as he would be if he found out Ximena was planning to leave him.

So much drama & I can't think of one cliche unlike some TN's on now that will remain nameless.

Thank you AdrianaNoel--your recaps (and NovelaMan's) are like the guidebook for all of us traveling on this final dark ride...
Another Amy--I agree, Bianca last night was at her most vulnerable, most pathetic. We still want a happy ending for her, with all her flaws...MS is a fine actress.
ShallowGal--Yes why don't those writers ever listen to their audience and correct some of their writing crimes?
Any, what by the way, was Bruno's excuse for not leaving with Bianca after the rape? Couldn't bear to hurt Tio? That was the most heart-wrenching thing in last night's episode: Bruno says he can't bear to hurt his Tio, or Little Miss Neeena. Bianca replies, oh, but it's okay to hurt me. Zinnnngg!!!!
Poor girl. She deserves better than Mr. Milktoast Bruno.

Cielos:

Beth- Raquel is Beto's age and went to school with him, but according to Aida has fallen into the bad life-- partying, clubs, drinking, drugs, prostitution. All stuff that ages a person. But yeah, once she was in regular clothes she looked much younger. I bet she would look even younger with toned down hair and makeup too.

EL SENOR/CIELOS

Variopinta - I'm going back and forth on whether or not AC will find out about the tickets and Ximena's exit plan. But even if he doesn't find out, Alba knows, and she'll do anything possible to keep Ximena and her grandchildren with her. I think that in spite of her anger at AC (for Cleto's arrest) and Chacorta (for Victorcito), Alba won't leave. Besides her family, she has nothing else in life.

Sara Corrales is doing a fantastic job as the jealous, manipulative, sleazy Mathilde. She was downright frightening as a woman with no boundaries during that exchange with Beto.

Beth

J in Oregon - totally agree - MS is a fine actress. Bruno should stop saying he loves her, cuz clearly he doesn't; in my tn world, love should trump all.

LA PATRONA:

Just finished watching tonight's ep, and the fact that Vero's pregnancy, or whether she'll tell Ale-she didn't tell him because it would've actually been weird/inappropriate to-was the second or third most important part of the storyline was an amazing feat of writing. They always put the most explosive ep on Wed.

Also, I have to say that David has matured leaps and bounds. He told Ceci she was still the only girl for him and he loves her deeply, even more now, after her rape. You could see Ceci's fear and shame evaporate off her face when he said that. He made sure she didn't feel unclean, unworthy, ashamed or just awful because of what Lucas did to her.

I have to say Martin Barba, who plays David, has always been the best of the young adult cast. He's always been able to stand on equal footing with the adult actors. I can't wait to see what other roles he gets in TNs bevause he's really good.

LA PATRONA – MIÉRCOLES – Part 1

After she weakly calls his name, David finds Cecilia badly beaten in the woods.

Antonia gives Macario only half of the money he wanted to use to leave the area. She tells him she can’t do without him. She goes on to say he has to hide his replacement, Lucas, for a while. The kid screwed up. She says they might have to do without him. [And I think Viewerville knows what she means by that.] She goes on to promise him he can leave after Aníbal’s trial. He stalks off. Aníbal tells her it’s not smart ot piss off a guy like Macario. She informs him that he owes her half of Macario’s “severance pay”. When he asks if she’s taking advantage of him, she says it’s like he took advantage of her when she was 15 years old.

Gonzo finds Lucas’ pasamontañas (ski mask) and gives it to Balmy. David, distraught, tells Alejandro they did they same thing to Cecilia that Fernando did to his mother, attack her with the face covered.

At the hospital Balmy comes out with the medical report. Cecilia was raped and savagely beaten. He says they’ll prove who did it. Semen was recovered and some hairs left in the ski mask.

In the chapel Gabriela remembers her own rape. Alejandro joins her, knowing what she’s feeling. She says that she knows that Ceci’s life will now be a nightmare. David has gone to comfort Cecilia, telling her he loves her and that she’s his princess. She tells him she’s no longer worthy of him. He asks who did it. Did she see? She says she didn’t, but he can tell she is lying. He asks if it was Lucas. He can tell by her expression that that is the case, even though she doesn’t want to say.

Poncia comes to see Lucía and finds out what happened to Ceci. When she goes to see her Ceci begs Poncia to have someone find David, otherwise he’ll kill Lucas.

Gaby gets dizzy in the chapel. Ale asks if she’s ill. AGAIN it looks like she’s about to tell him about the pregnancy when Gastón bursts in saying they have to find David.

David comes bursting into Macario’s room asking him where Lucas is. He tells David that the boy has been behaving oddly. He came back in the afternoon very scared. [Macario is definitely enjoying some payback on several levels.] Maybe he could be where the boys used to play as children. After David rushes out to the old mine, Macario addresses Antonia, although she’s not there of course, “Don’t play around with me!”

Alejandro has come to La Dorada looking for David. When he brings up Lucas, she plays dumb. What makes him think it was Lucas? He tells her that, if anything happens to David, she’s the one responsible. [Truer words were never spoken.] Antonia orders Macario to find the boys and prevent the fight.

David enters the old mine shouting for Lucas to show himself. He calls him poco hombre because of being a rapist. He also says he knows Lucas had something to do with the deaths of Max and Valentina. [This is probably because a while ago Lucas made a crack about Max being cenizas (ashes).] David calls him a coward, and the rabbit faced cretin comes out waving a knife. He lunges at David, stabs him in the side, but David gets the best of him. He gets the knife and puts it to Lucas’ throat. We see a shadow in the foreground – no doubt Macario.

LA PATRONA – MIÉRCOLES – Part 2

At Francisca’s house, the tigres wring their hands not knowing where David could be. Francisca finally gets a news bulletin, a very late one this time, that they are in the mine killing each other. We see David with the knife at Lucas’ throat, but he can’t cut his throat. He throws away the knife and proceeds to beat the tar out of Lucas. Lucas begs for his life. David leaves. And, just as I knew would happen, Macario comes to finish the job, stabbing Lucas multiple times. He tells him he’ll likely see El Chopo in hell.

Alejandro and Gabriela have arrived at the mine. David tells them he killed Lucas.

Luz is snooping around La Fortaleza, opens a door, and sees something that scares her. Lucho comes up and tells her that her own room is the only safe one. All the rest of them are full of ghosts of people who were killed there!

Gaby tells David he shouldn’t pay for the hatred of so many years. David tells her that he and Lucas hated each other since they were little kids. He says his life is a disaster. She is comforting him and notices the stab wound.

Ale finds Lucas. He has a weak pulse. Ale calls Balmy and tells him to send an ambulance to the mine. Gaby takes David to the hospital.

Speaking of mines, the representatives of the members of the union that work in El Chamuco come to see Antonia about their contract, the one Alejandro agreed to when he was running the mine. They need to bring their list of demands to the table. She says the contract is a joke and that her son is a dreamer. When Aníbal admonishes her for being so unyielding, she says every day it’s harder to put up with him. After she leaves, Macario reminds him what happens to people who become inconvenient, say, Julio and Ramón.

In the hospital, David tells Gabriela [I’m going with Gabriela from now on.] he doesn’t think there’s a way back from what he did. She tells him to unburden himself and tell her everything that happened to help him prepare for what he’ll say to the police. He says they fought, and it all got worse when Lucas said things about his mother. Then Lucas pulled a knife. He wanted to kill him, but he only used his fists on him.

Antonia comes to his room to ask Macario about David. He puts on a bit of mock concern, saying he thought she’d heard. David found Lucas and killed him.

David talks with Cecilia telling her how great Señora Dantés was with him. He doesn’t understand why she cares so much. Cecilia almost tells him, but restrains herself.

In the hospital waiting room David tells Balmy that he’s giving himself up. He tells Gabriela and Alejandro that the last thing Tigre did was make him promise to always defend the women in his life. Ale has to restrain Gabriela from refusing to let Balmy take him. While arresting him, Balmy says that he’s accused of four stab wounds to Lucas. David sharply denies stabbing him; he says men fight without weapons.

Gaby has come to see David and actually gets to go into the cell with him. He tells her he'll be okay because he has the blood running through his veins of the bravest man that ever lived in SPDO – El Tigre. She tells him that every day he resembles El Tigre more – brave and fierce. David doesn’t seem to notice that she wouldn’t have known his grandfather if she were Vero. Then he tells her that every day she resembles his mother more, as if she were taking his mother’s place. She timidly asks if this would please him. He says that it would.

PASION PROHIBIDA

After tonight's episode, here's my fan-fiction version of the ending.

Bruno marries Nina, and is MISERABLE for the rest of his life.

Ariel turns himself in and goes to prison for rape.

Deniz, Salo, Celeste, Cami, and Katia (yes, even her) take Santi and move into the ranch with Tia... thus setting us up for a quirky comedic family spin-off with lots of subway product placement, and an especially fun episode in which the family visits Tere and Gabriel at the muelle with lots of comical "falling out of the boat" action.

Bianca moves to LA with Penelope and Nico so Brunito can grow up with his cousins, starts her own business, falls in love with a dashing, manly, uncowardly William-Levy-like CEO, and never looks back.

There will, of course, have to be the obligatory "run-in" with Br-eena, so that Bruno can see how wonderful and happy Bianca is without him, and Bianca can brush him off tastefully while he is forever haunted by dream-haze memories of what they had together, at least until Neena breaks into his reverie with a "Soy tu ES-POH-SAH!"

Yair and Flavia, well, who cares.

LA PATRONA

Novelera - what a terrific recap. Thank you! I especially loved Lucas "the rabbit faced cretin". Such a perfect description.

So now we know that Anibal is the one who pulled Antonia over to the dark side at age 15. And she admits she's still pissed about it. Anibal should be listening very carefully to Macario's warning. Now that he's signed over his Cayman Island accounts to Antonia, Anibal is expendable.

I thought Gabriela [I too am going with Gabriela from now on since half of SPdO knows who she is] would finally tell Ale she's pregnant, but that probably won't happen till Friday. He definitely was there for her, trying to support and ease her fears for David and acknowledging how painful her memories of her own rape must be.

Poor David - the evidence is all stacked against him. I'm hoping Gaston will tell Balmy about the shadow he saw at the mine and help provide an alternate theory as to the stabbings. Lucas could be thinking that Antonia sent Macario to kill him and may want to get even with her and David by saying David stabbed him.

So what has our duende rigged up that scared our nosy Luz?

CIELOS, Wednesday part 1

So here's my try at this recapping thing! Feel free to correct.

-Ximena tries to convince Alba that she needs to leave, that Aurelio puts his business before his kids. She tells Dona Alba to tell Aurelio, but whatever, she’s leaving.

-Turco does some “sácame de la cabeza” situps. They aren’t working.

-The cops arrest Don Cleto. As they walk him outside, one of his henchman holds a gun to Ponte but Marco is such an amazing shot that he takes the guy out with hardly a thought. Don Cleto makes some threats but no one listens. At the station, the counter cop greets DC warmly before realizing what’s happening. Marco calls Letrudo to tell him that he’s staying with DC until he’s in Mexico. Letrudo tries to talk him out of this but it doesn’t work.

-Leo/Claudia is with Ale fooling around. Until she drugs his drink, that is. He passes out and she goes lurking around the house.

-Where she hears Ximena and Alba talking. Dona Alba is still trying to convince Xi to stay and talk to Aurelio. Aurelio has woken up looking for Xi, and wanders into the kitchen. Leo hides behind a dining table as he enters the kitchen and asks what the two women were talking about. DA covers for Xi. He leaves and Leo still lurks. DA lets Xi go telling her that she understands but is sad. She knows what Aurelio is capable of and just wants to be able to see the girls again. Aww.

-Betico is with Raquel but calls her Matilde. He’s so screwed, and not in the good way. She’s mad and wants to go. He threatens and tells her she needs to be quiet and obedient. She says he’s not the dueño but he counters that he will be. He’s a complete jerk and she gives in expecting future returns.

-DA distracts the henchman while Ximena very slowly makes her way to the car. Turco stops her and says he’s going to miss her. Then he tells her that he DOES feel something for her, he’s loved her a long time, she’s the only one he’s ever loved and the only woman forbidden to him. Then he KISSES HER. Leo still spying on them. Turco asks Ximena’s forgiveness for the kiss. It’s his goodbye and he hopes she finds what she’s looking for. She watches him walk away and then DA comes and rushes her out to the car. She finally leaves but forgets the stroller.

-The reporter in the wheelchair whose name I can’t remember is chatting with Eugenia. He’ll get a series of reports; he just has to figure out what he’ll write. He looks sad. Everyone is sad tonight.

CIELOS, Wednesday part 2

-Dona Alba is still sad. Aurelio asks about Ximena and DA answers pissily that she doesn’t know and she’s not the nanny. He deserves this.

-Leo/Claudia is going shopping and she tells Alejandro to stay and rest from his “hangover”. While there she meets with Marco but doesn’t have much to tell, just family drama and Xi leaving. Marco leaves just in time for the henchman to get there and yell at Leo who yells back that she’s not done but he’s had it and they are leaving. He tries to force her out but she shakes him off saying that she’s been walking by herself since she was 2. She’s taking the snooty approach with these guys.

-Chacorta sees Betico and says something about his girlfriend, I think about how she kind of reminds him of Matilde. No light bulbs yet though over Chacorta.

-Aurelio, Columbians, et al talk about the Don Cleto arrest. Aurelio is “surprised”. They make plans. When Turco leaves, Chacorta notices that he’s a little off and Aurelio thinks it’s about what he knows of the DC arrest but says nothing. Later Aurelio questions Turco about why he was so close and chatty with Xi the night before. I think he’s worried about her finding out about what her husband did to her dad and he threatens Turco about Xi never finding out. Doubt Turco cares un bledo about Don Cleto.

-Xi does hear about the arrest while on the bus and calls Turco to see if he’ll help. Of course he will.

-Eugenia asks the editor if her stories are on the front page because they are good or because he LIKES her likes her. Both. Do we know yet if he’s really a good guy?

-We finally get the theme song 45 minutes in. Why bother at this point?

-Cabo and Tijeras talking to Alejandro. I have no idea what they’re saying but I think it’s about girls. They are not sad. Ale leaves and Cabo says he thinks Aurelio is behind the DC arrest. Tijeras can’t believe he’d do that to his own father in law. Cabo is quite astute about people. Tijeras is probably still thinking about boobs.

-Oscar in the prison yard where he takes a call from Topo wanting to do business.

-Carmona calls Aurelio while staking out the police station. This has to do with the plan to take care of Marco and free Don Cleto. Niño didn’t find Xi at Maestra Aida’s house. He asks Doña Alba what’s up with that woman, but she “doesn’t know”.

-Then my antenna fuzzes out and I didn’t catch the last 5 minutes.

Hope this helps.

Pasion Prohibida
Wednesday - part 1

Here goes my last recap of PP… (snif, snif)
Bianca is at the cemetery again, talking to her dad; she mentions how her heart doesn’t belong to her husband, but to another man, which she deeply loves. From behind, Ariel overhears only the last part (about the love) and promptly asks who she’s talking about. You, of course, Bianca quickly answers.
Then he asks her about the baby, but she says there is no child, surely Flavia lied to him again – ever since they got married that’s all she’s been doing and only because she wanted Ariel for herself. He doesn’t disagree with this, but I don’t see him questioning out loud any of Flavia’s manipulative lies…
Bruno and Neena come to mind. Anyway Ariel is worried that she might harm herself, but Bianca reassures him she is not as crazy as her mom, who did try to kill herself in the past. Seeing her so alone and vulnerable Ariel realizes that he does love her a lot, says so and wants her to come back home; not out of pity, just to give their marriage another chance. Bianca seems willing.

Nina is visiting Yair at the ranch, tells him the wedding is at the end of this week (how time flies when you absolutely do not want something to happen!). She also notices that his recovery is going very slow (if by recovery she means his trip to an early grave, than I guess he’s doing rather fine). Yair wishes her the best with Bruno and only has one last request, to be near her in her last days as an unmarried girl, by returning to the house. Neena agrees.
Later on, after she and Yair leave, Deniz makes the mistake to say in front of Francisca that she thinks the wedding is to rushed (like any normal person would think after about a week of being engaged and not even a day of dating before); Francisca gets very upset, asks Deniz to butt out, let Neena and Brunp make their own decisions, but Deniz can’t help but have doubts (again, rightfully so).

Silvia and Willy talk about how his plan to ruin Flavia didn’t work, because Daniel is smitten with her.

Pene and Nico talk about Bianca being pregnant or lying about being pregnant; Nico thinks both Bianca and Flavia are as crazy as crazy can get and if Bianca now says she’s not pregnant it could be because the baby is not Ariel’s. Pene gets upset over this, accuses him of being as vicious as his father, they start fighting.

Bruno is getting back home and meets Don Salo who says he doesn’t look that good; it’s only wedding jitters, not to worry, Don Salo; but who appears to be doing bad are Bianca and tio, who don’t seem to be on the reconciliation path.
Just in time for the two to come into the house, announce they got back together and leave Bruno dumbfounded.

Left alone in the living room Bruno demands to know why Bianca came back when she could have been free, unlike him, poor fellow, who is forever trapped. Well, Bianca returned because she doesn’t want to be alone, once he gets married and moves away with Neena (how is that a given? NOBODY ever leaves this house). Again, she says this can easily be solved if he leaves with her, but Bruno can’t, he has a moral obligation ( to save his own azz!!!). Ok, then, Bianca concludes, they’ll keep lying, they still have a few more days to be together… and she kisses him.

Don Salo and Ariel talk about Yair coming back to the house and putting him in the taller, so he doesn’t bother anyone. Salo opens up the discussion about the B&B rumor, but Ariel is now sure (!!) it was all a lie. So Don Salo refrains from saying what he now suspects, too.

Pasion Prohibida
Wednesday - part 2

In the kitchen there is talk about Yair coming back and Camila mentions how Bianca won’t be too happy about this; she adds some other nasty stuff, that of course Bianca overhears; but instead of blowing up like she did in the past, she passive-aggressively asks Camila why she’d want to work in a place where she hates the lady of the house so much; wouldn’t’ it be better if she left? Camila can’t disagree with this logic, so she is kind of forced to resign. And then Bianca hugs her, wishing her all the luck in the world and she looks so crazy and out of this world, they are all left wondering.

Flavia reproaches Pene that once again she came off as a gossip in front of Ariel with the pregnancy story (yeah, because all the other times Flavia had been fed wrong information, too). Pene explains that is what Bianca told her and how strange her sister is behaving. But Flavia is just happy to learn Bianca is back home and NO, she and Bruno are not amantes. She also mentions how she is now engaged.

Salo and Celeste say goodbye to Ariel and Bianca, they decided to go with Camila, too, they’ll all stay with Deniz for a while. They agree that Camila made a mistake but they can’t leave her alone, no matter how much Ariel insists; even Bianca says that if she apologizes, Camila can stay, but there is no turning back (in other words, they’ve had enough!)

Santi is visiting Yair in the taller. The poor kid doesn’t understand why so many things have to change all of a sudden: the servants leaving, his dad and Bianca possibly breaking up, Neena getting married to Bruno so fast… he’s afraid of what might come next (and I think we can all agree with him on that).

Bruno is on the boat or yacht or whatever that is and there is a big room bellow deck (this is so random, why isn’t he in his room? Oh, never mind, I know why). He’s thinking about Bianca’s last words to him, how they have a few more days left to be together and he seems desperate to do something… So he ends up doing Neena (pardon my language). Two episodes until the finale…this is not what is supposed to happen with two episodes left of a tn!

Neena comes in search of him, he tells her that he never wants to hurt her, he would turn his back on anything to keep that from happening (we get it already, you are the poor sacrificing lamb that absolutely has to marry the beautiful, innocent heiress). Neena points out that he shouldn’t have to do anything that he doesn’t want to do (and does that seem like another good way for Bruno to get away? Yes! Does he do it? Noooo!). She loves him and that is why she’s doing everything, she’s loved him since she was a girl, she remembers all his girlfriends (I know we hate Neena, but I feel bad for her right now, we’ve all had one first love, but she just had the bad luck to set her eyes on a good for nothing…)
They start to kiss and we all know where this is heading.

Ariel and Bianca are in their bedroom, Ariel is in the mood for some, too, but Bianca is definitely not! She wonders what Bruno and Neena are doing on the boat, but they are engaged, so Ariel is not worried at all. Instead, he’d really like to have a baby…

Neena and Bruno on the boat, totally doing it…she says something, he says something, I don’t get any of it, except the part where he says that she makes him feel so liberated, she purifies him (Good for you Bruno, glad things are working out!).

Yair can’t sleep, he coughs a lot, so he decides to go for a stroll and what do you think he sees through one of the boat’s windows? Bruno and Neena in full love making session (so Yair truly is the pervert type, why else would he witness all these scenes all the time?)

Pasion Prohibida
Wednesday - part 3

The next morning Bianca, wearing a yellow outfit that looks very much like the dress she had on the second time she kissed Bruno on the dock, meets Neena in the hallway. Neena is super happy, mentions how she and Bruno didn’t come home late, they came home early (ugh..). Did they stay up all night talking wedding plans, Bianca is almost too afraid to ask. No, Neena cheerfully explains, last night Bruno “me hiso el amooor “(in her whiniest voice). Bianca is so shocked that for the rest of the conversation she just has this stupefied look on her face.
Neena tells her all the beautiful things Bruno whispered to her ears, like the fact that she’s so different from all his other women, how she purified him…all the words stabbing Bianca in the heart over and over again.

Ariel is at the office, talking to Francisca; he and Bianca have reconciled, but he has serious doubts that their marriage will work out. She is so different from his first wife, he never managed to know her. Why don’t you get a divorce, then, Francisca asks. Because he has no proof she’s wronged him, he is a traditional man who made the vow to stand by his wife for better or for worse.

Bruno is in the dining room when Bianca storms in, asking if the coffee he’s drinking has the same purifying effect that Neena had last night (good stuff!). Did Bianca really make him feel all that dirty? Well, as much as he tries, he’ll never forget her or erase his sins, he will always remember her. Bruno doesn’t want to talk about this, he almost gets violent while shouting that there is nothing wrong with him trying to clean his heart or something. Yeah, Bianca agrees, except he doesn’t deserve it! (you nailed it, Bianca, he’s the last person to deserve redemption right now).

Later, in her room, Bianca is bawling her eyes out when Flavia comes in. She gets scared to see Bianca like this, on the floor, crying. She hugs her, while Bianca pleads with her, she feels like she’s going to die, she asks her mom to stop the wedding because she won’t be able to handle it. She is in such a bad shape that she makes Flavia cry, too, and promise she will help her, but if Neena can’t have Bruno, neither can Bianca, she has to stay with Ariel.
Watching Bianca unravel like this is sooo painful to watch, I have tears in my eyes, too (something I haven’t done while watching a tn since I was 12), I can barely write my notes for the recap. So, so sad.

The servants say their goodbyes and leave for Deniz’ mansion…I mean, apartment.
Daniel visits Willy to let him know he loves Flavia and he’ll marry her. Willy warns Daniel Flavia is not what she appears to be, he will be sorry…heeey, now that the Piamontes are pretty much finished, Willy can have a new project with convincing Daniel that Flavia is bad news.

Bianca is at Penelope’s, carrying baby Esteban in her arms. She feels so good in the nursery, there is so much love in the room; she’d like to have a baby just like this, too, but not here, far, far away, where no harm could touch him. She’s holding the baby to tight, he starts to cry, Pene gets worried and takes the baby in her arms…I believe we’ve lost Bianca!
Anyway, she says how proud she is of Pene and what she’s accomplished and Pene tells her that she and Nico decided to leave Miami; they’re going to LA.

Tere and Deniz talk about how empty the house feels, how everything changed for the worst after Bianca came to live with them, how Ariel deserves so much better, to be happy etc… The B&B rumor is brought up again, but Tere doesn’t mention her story about Bianca’s purse; instead she says that only God knows what happened for real.
God and Yair, Deniz says when she is left alone.

And then she goes to Bianca’s bedroom and straight to the diary. But Bianca has already changed it, now all it says is how much she loves Ariel and how happy she is to be his wife. Just in time for Neena to walk in and catches Deniz in the act!

2 Episodes left...

Pasion prohibida

Doing the recap for this tn has been truly great, all your comments and your appreciation have been amazing and kept me going. We shared the laughs and the cringe worthy moments, I'm sure we can continue doing this with other tns, too.
Thank you, NovelaMan, for all your help, as much as I always tried to keep the recaps short, I almost always ended up writing mini novels, so having someone to help out has been a blessing!
Now it's over to you for the last two episodes and let me just say I don't envy you at all. Especially recapping the finale will be hard, considering all the anvils and the bad omens and...how bad everything is right now.
Let me know if you need help and GOOD LUCK!

Pasion Prohibida

Amy, I LOVE your version of the finale, I want it, too. I wouldn't change a word, a syllable, nothing.
What I especially liked:
- Bruno being miserable with his ESH-POS-AH forever :)), while nowing that Bianca is happy far away from him (and not finding any solace in this)
- Bianca raising her baby with a William Levy type CEO

Your funny momenst with the servants and Subway and the boat made me laugh, which is not easy with all the gloom and doom going around.

I want Yair to kick the bucket (that will happen anyway, I'm pretty sure, and for Flavia to end up alone and poor).

J in Oregon, I hope you didn't choke on that hairball and you keep all pets away for the next two episodes, because I'm scare for your life with what I suspect is coming.
And I agree with you that no matter how bad Bianca treats the servants ot how many mistakes she does, I still want a happy ending for her, because she just breaks my heart every day. And every day she gets another kick.

I didn't think Bruno, the Purified, could get any lower than he already was, but he proved me wrong. How great that he felt so much better after sleeping with Neena, this is totally not gonna hurt her if she ever finds out the truth.
Pene seems to be the only one to truly acknowledge Bianca's cry for help. How come Flavia, who si so savy when it comes to butting in, can't see that her daughter is on the verge of doing something tragic?

PASION PROHIBIDA

Ay Adriana Noel, thanks for the last one. Boo hoo.
AnotherAmy, loved your fan-friendly upbeat finale! Especially introducing Wm Levy into the mix. All along I've wanted to see him [with his height and regal carriage] together with Bianca.
Did not expect to see the purification ritual! Brutal, just brutal, Bruno.
AdrianaNoel, I did think Flavia seemed truly shaken and fearful of what Bianca might do. What Flavia can or will do to help who knows. And not sure what's up with this Daniel thing with 2 epi to go.
Clara

PASION PROHIBIDA

Was anyone else confused as HECK about the boat in the back yard????? Did I miss a big chunk of something?

AdrianaNoel, the Bianca/Flavia scene where she was crying in her mother's arms made me tear up too! That's two episodes in a row I've cried. Flavia (up until her "stay with Ariel" advice) really won me over in that scene--you could see a genuine motherly-ness and concern for her daughter... she even had tears in her eyes. I really wonder what she's going to do next.

That scene when Nina was recounting everything Bruno said to her, about being purified and cleansed, and Bianca's reaction to it all... it was nauseating. I went from being sympathetic to Bruno a week ago to being totally disgusted by him. I have a few episodes saved in my DVR, tender/intense moments between B&B, which I have been rewatching over and over the last couple weeks just to "cleanse" my palette of all the recent treachery... both of them are scenes when Bianca has come to break it off with him, telling him that they must stop, and then Bruno goes into overdrive telling her that she is the love of his life and she needs to just LET GO and give in to her feelings--it makes what he's doing now that much more despicable. Bianca is breaking my heart.

So with the foreshadowing leading to an apparent suicide or attempt, I'm wondering what the writers would do with the pregnancy... would they really go there? Maybe Dr. William Levy will be the doctor on call when they bring her into the emergency room and save her life...

CIELOS AND LA PATRONA:

Buon giorno from Italy? Thanks for all the great recaps. I was in Barcelona a few days ago, got to try out my Spanish, it worked! Today I was at th e Vatican Didn't see Presidente Cesar from Cielos. BTW, Eugenia's editor is Alfonso, and the reporter in the wheelchair is Linares.

La Patrona sounds wild! Pregnancies, several attempted or real murders, love it!

I can't watcg the show as the internet is 75 cents per minute, but thanks again for the recaps. Ciao!

EL SENOR/CIELOS

Kelly - thank you! Excellent recap - and most helpful for me since CC did not work at all last night and I missed ⅔ of the dialogue.

Well, I was really off on my prediction that Ximena would not leave last night. And kudos to Alba for not ratting her out to AC.

I kept wondering all through the episode how long Ximena and the girls could be gone before someone would notice. It seems it could be quite a while. Long enough for her to put some distance between her and AC - and long enough to prove her point about AC putting business over family.

Glad to see Cabo back in uniform - star and all. And he's jaded enough that he's not surprised about AC setting up Cleto for arrest. I think young Tijeras, experienced killer that he is, is still a bit naive about human motivations.

Wow! That was some magic potion Leo gave Alejandro. I've heard that date rape drugs work fast, but Ale went out in record time.

Oscar in orange - what a treat. No way will prison interfere with his self-expression.

Chacorta and the Mathilde look-alike doll - he's just not a light bulb kind of guy!

Even though I didn't understand half of the convo between Leo and her driver at the shopping mall, I had to chuckle at the facial expressions and hand slapping in that scene.

Beth

Cielos

Tk you so much Kelly, you did great.

I'll add what I think I understood of the end.

AC asks Alba about Xi, she says ?yo que sé? how should I know?

Mis Sinaloa confesses to putting sth in Isidro's drink, by order of Chacorta after Monica tells her she will go back to Sinaloa but in a coffin.

Marco, looking extremely macho goes to Cletos cell & explains charges. Cleto says everyone knows he is a farmer & rancher.
Cleto tells Marco he could make more money in one day than he could in his whole miserable life at which time Marco throws him against the bars.
Marco is, I think, accusing him of the kidnapping of the Villalobos AND the death of his padre.

proxima
AC tells everyone to stop what they are doing & look for Xi in Culiacan & every corner. Turco is asking Ponte about Cleto's charges.

Kelly, thank you for the wonderful recap. This one is getting
SO GOOD!1

CIELOS:

Great job Kelly! And thanks Variopinta for adding what happened in the last few minutes. It was a tense episode, and I was biting my nails worrying that Ximena wouldn’t be able to go away, or that she’d turn back when she heard about Cleto. But she’s determined that her daughters will escape that world, and not grow up to become her. I’m glad Turco worked up the courage to tell Ximena that he loves her and to give her that goodbye kiss. Their height difference is so great that it took forever for him to lean down to make contact. LOL!

I don’t think Marco has enough proof to accuse Cleto of killing his father (the charges are for the cocaine and the Villalobo deaths), but he wanted Cleto to know who he is and why he’s determined to throw his a** in jail—because he killed his father all those years ago. Sorry Cleto. You just met one of the few incorruptible cops in the country, AND he’s got a personal vendetta against you.

Hombre- Thanks for dropping in to say hello. It sounds like you're having a great time. :)

CIELOS

Kelly, that was a superb recap! I missed many things when I watched the novela last night, and your recap was VERY helpful.

Thanks, too, to Variopinta and Vivi for your valuable additions. Vivi, while you were biting your nails that Ximena wouldn't be able to leave, I was biting mine over the possibility that Ximena and Turco would be seen kissing. The kiss certainly lasted long enough! I was also nervous that Ximena would be spotted when the bus made a potty stop. Tonight's episode had better not be exciting: I've got no nails left to bite!

Hombre, great to hear from you. I hope you're having a marvellous time. ¡Estoy muy celosa!

Pasión Prohibida,

thank you so very much for your recap Adriana Noel,
and all of your recaps,
(one of the main reasons that I have stuck with this one)
you really have a nice way of retelling a story.

I think you guys have said it all,
wow, I just couldn't believe Bruno,
who couldn't kiss Neena,
would sleep with her,
"(Aaack!!!! coughing up a hairball)"--J in Oregon,
this took this story to a whole new low,
(and I didn't think that was possible),
highlighted by peeping Yair,
and I WAS a virgin Neena,
giving Bianca all of the details,

I also can't believe that Bianca actually sat and rewrote her entire diary,
filling it with all of the love she has for Ariel,
but I guess it was all worth it just to see the look on Denis' face,
and still Denis' unsent love letter didn't fall out,

as to how things look, with Tere getting married, that would be ALL of the servants, Flavia and Katia, Bruno and Neena, all Gone, leaving the empty nesters, Ariel and the maybe pregnant Bianca, Santo really alone in his room playing games, and a visiting Denis, wow things have changed, it's amazing as the servants have noted, how Bianca coming into the house has unknowingly driven a wedge between all that Ariel has called family,

could the despicable Guillermo be right about the Santillana's being a curse,

interesting to note,
that Penelope is not pregnant again,
I would think life would be good, in L.A., without their in-laws around.
they might want to get unlisted phone numbers as well,

so will we finally get our Gran Final Wedding ???

LA PATRONA:

Novelera, great recap! Your snark about Fran receiving a news bulletin was hilarious. I loved how all of them, including, Balmy, were sitting around waiting for Fran to get some message, but she didn't until Balmy and Ale left-too much testosterone messes up her spidey sense or something?

Also, I get the sense that the venganza that Gaby was hoping for, with Guerra before her on her knees won't happen. I think David will figure out Vero is his mother, and once Gaby has her son back, getting back at Guerra will become less important. I get the distinct feeling that Macario will be the one to kill Guerra since he was so loyal to her and she betrayed him.

La Patrona:

I love how Balmy has now completely bought into Fran's visions. J desde NYC- That scene when they were all waiting was hilarious. Too much testosterone. Ha!

Ale really is dense, isn't he? Gaby is holding her abdomen and feeling faint, and gives him that look, and he can't guess that she might just be pregnant? Gah! Well, at least he was being tender and supportive. Now they need to quit acting like they are broken up.

La Patrona,

thanks so much novelera,
you covered everything so well,

I'm curious though,
what does Macario keep reading,
that he has to hide under the covers,
when anyone bursts into his room,

the Tigre's secrets, especially that Gabriela is alive,
seem to be on the verge of coming out,
(and yes J desde NYC, the David/Veronica scenes are incredible)
didn't Gabriela almost spill to David in front of Balmy, as he was cuffing him,
when Alejandro stepped in,
the way the Tigre's guard her secret, I think it's well understood,
that Gabriela being revealed, even now,
would put her life, and their plans, in grave danger.

but then again,
I don't see Antonia as much of anything without Macario at her side.

PASIóN PROHIBIDA

Adriana Noel - por ahora, mil gracias!

AnotherAmy - bwaahaaahaa... love love love the throw-in-the-mix Willam Levy scenario. ojala!!

I wish I could write all the extreme expletives I could think of about Neena. all of a sudden she found a confidant in Bianca, and goes into detail about what Bruno said???? por favor!!!!

CIELOS

Does anyone else find it weird that Ximena showed no emotion when the radio broadcasted her father's arrest but yet she called Turco to verify?

Also, why does Chacorta keep coming back and forth between El Rancho and la Casa de Seguridad?

-VRO

Cielos,

a big thanks Kelly for the recap,
and thanks to all for your comments,

I think after arresting don Cleto, a search of his place found hair/blood samples in the basement that linked to Sabino Villalobos,

I thought Ximena would fix herself a 6 course breakfast and read the paper before she left, this was driving me nuts, and now she is on a slow bus, talk about a snail getaway,

Cielos
Ximena has to get out of town before she can catch a plane, but AC will know all of this. She was in Houston, I think when Monica tried to have her killed. Then she had access to AC's planes.

BTW Ximena Herrera (Ximena) is married to Alex Sirvent (Rafael in AB)
Turco is 6'4 1/2", AC is 6'2".

Do any of you remember Arturo Barba as Fernando Lara Lora in
Yo Amo a Juan Querendon?

CIELOS

VRO, yes, I too thought Ximena's reaction on the bus was strange. At first I thought that she may not have heard the announcement, but then I decided that she was deliberately showing no emotion so as not to upset Rutila. Indeed, Rutila probably knows next to nothing about how her grandfather really made his money and lived his life, and I think Ximena wants to preserve Rutila's innocence about that, at least for now, and to make it possible for Rutila and her other daughter to grow up in a very different world.

AnotherAmy you forgot another novela trope that hasnt been used in PP. The male or female protag goes to prison. Then again Willy tried and failed to throw Bianca in prison so maybe it counts a little....

I think the reason Yair never fell in love with Cami is the same rreason Bruno never fell in love with Nina: Yair sees Cami as a sister. Salomon said a few times he saw Yair as a son.

Bruno has become as unlikable as Juan Marcos Arroyo.

Is anyone watching AMAR DE NUEVO or 5 VIUDAS SUELTAS? (im not) A shame DECISIONES JUVENILES is over. Liked Daniel Elbittars acting and wish Telemundo gave him more important roles Melvin Cabrera, Gabriel Valenzuela, Pablo Azar, Sofia Stamatiades and Juan Pablo Llano moved on to good stuff why not Danny E? Also heard he was dating Sabrina Seara (Penelope Santillana).

Cielos
Ximena did not want to call attention to herself either.

PASION PROHIBIDA

I was just listening to this song and had immediate flashbacks of B&B... if I knew how, I would totally do a fanvid for them with this song and clips of the best/worst B&B moments! (I've always secretly dreamed of being one of those people that makes movie/tv trailers)

CIELOS

Thanks so very much for the recap, Kelly. Great job.

This novela is very exciting.

Deb, LOL, about whether Ximena would have a 6-course breakfast and read the newspaper before leaving. Of course the delay, and Aurelio's getting up in the night, was to torture us.

I caught up two last night and can't remember if this was mentioned in other recaps. But Aurelio planned to get Cleto out of jail to get back in Ximena's good graces. I'm sure he was thinking this would be easy with the obviously corrupt cops in the local police station in Sinaloa.

Boy, he's going to be scary mad when he figures out she's really left him. Last night he seemed sort of oblivious.

PASION PROHIBIDA
ShallowGal--yah, I can't see Neena spilling the pillowtalk of her romantic encounter with Bianca, of all people, someone whom she never really liked.
(Still laughing about your description of Neeena and her mantra: "Mi PRO-MEH-TEEE-DAH" as her head waggle from side to side like Charlie McCarthy's dummy...).
NovelaMan--Yes Bruon is similar to Juan Marcos Arroya (Corazon Valiente) who professed his undying love but went slinking off when things got tough.
Also, why is it fair that Flavia, of all people, gets rewarded with a handsome rich fiance at the finale? Does she deserve that? NOOOOO!!!!
J in Oregon

PASIóN PROHIBIDA

Clara - you should be in casting; William Levy/Monica Spear ... I'd be all over that!

J in Oregon - re the "f" landing someone rich, and not bad looking?!?! que the heck, right? to deserve that, she should concoct some miracle solution for Bianca. btw, i'm not that clever to come up with "pro-meh-teee-dah."

LA PATRONA:

I always thought Macario was more a son to Guerra than Fer and Ale because Mac respected her authentic pyschopathic self, not the refined lady mask she wears. So, she won't survive w/ o Mac

PASION PROHIBIDA

Yep Shallowgal, Bianca/Monica needs and deserves William Levy!
Bruno is looking more weasal-y by the moment.
deb and NovelaMan, not only did Bruno manage to sleep with his surrogate sister Neena, but, apparently, it was really ... special. I was not surprised she was unable to hold back from spilling the choice details to Bianca.
So AnotherAmy, you have your own purification ritual saved on your DVR?
J in Oregon, definitely not fair for Flavia! but I'm thinking that Daniel isn't quite gonna work out for her in the two epi we have left.
Clara

PASION PROHIBIDA
Eeeek! How in the blazes are they going to tie up all these loose story lines in ONE HOUR???? Yair could take up the whole hour coughing up lung tissue...

LA PATRONA - Thursday, (epi 115)
(part 1)

(I had some tv problems tonight but I think I got most of it, except the beginning)

Veronica, after a few words with Antonia, leaves David with her in his cell,
(if I remember yesterday, Veronica got David to tell her what happened, they spoke of truth, honor, etc., but with Antonia, it's seems all the opposite), when Antonia asks him why he did it, it's more like why did you get caught, then she talks about paying off the judge, etc., and when he starts trying to convince her he didn't stab Lucas, it's like "who cares", we'll get you out of here, that's what counts,

Gastón wants Francisca to rest, he politely gets up to leave, and she gently grabs his arm,
and wants him to stay,

Irene and Dr. Duende are flirting in the hospital, the doc pulls down his mask so he can kiss her,
González, comes upon them, and as Lucho turns, he is recognized,
but Houdini disappears again,

Alejandro and Veronica question casual Ric about David's case,
(this guy has made a career out of making people's cases seem hopeless)
Balmy appears, he wants to know about Lucho,

Lucho is watching this on the in-house security,
when Lucecita peeks in, she hears the part where he is wanted,
she wants him too,

David, in his cell ponders this new relationship he is forming with Veronica,
the way she rushes to his side to help,
the way she cries for him, hmm..

Poncia brings Don Anibal some food,
he misses being called Senator,
with a sly smile, she asks about his pills,
reminds him of Antonia's last husband who couldn't get to his in time,
and her other husband, and some other people who are no longer around,
(but there money still is),
Anibal says he is not very comfortable with all of this,

Veronica, Constanza, and Lucho are eating,
Lucho is telling about Lucecita's little blackmail,
Veronica says she is with us or against us, period,
she gets a call,
as she rushes for the door, she says David asked to see me,

Gastón (what a quiet charmer he is) and Francisca are at her place,
quietly talking,
it gets around to marriage,
she says, "I've always wanted to be a Senora",
but not till after everything, like with David, is all settled,
Gastón looks disappointed,

Ines walks up on Patti, Irene, and Ricardito, we have to talk,
(Ines is losing it since casual Ric threw her out),
she makes a plea with Patti,
Patti slaps her,
they argue, and Patti finally runs her off.
(I'm not quite sure what Ines hoped to accomplish, but I remember these two were friends)

Antonia drops in on Alejandro at his hotel room,
I need your help, the miners are on strike,
after some time, Alejandro agrees to help.
not for me, not for you, but because it is just.

LA PATRONA - Thursday, (epi 115)
(part 2)

Balmy questions Lucas at the hospital,
Lucas says David was the one that beat him,
when he asks who stabbed him,
Lucas doesn't answer,
then goes back into a coma,

Veronica arrives to see David, he walks up to the bars,
looks her in the eyes,
and says,
it is you, mama,
(wow, how many things went through Gabriela's head just then)
she says, yes,
they are both broken up,
González notices and comes to see what the problem is,
they both beg him to open the jail door so they can hug,
it is totally not ok to do this, but he does,
they hug, mother and son,

so many questions, David wants to know why she has been deceiving him, why she doesn't trust him,
why, why, why,
"I need to know",
"I need to understand",
they sit, and she begins,
he was so young then, Tigre's death, the mine explosion, her in jail, .......

Balmy is going nuts, and is starting to wish he were any place but here,

Constanza is at Francisca's chatting,
Gastón is doing a photo shoot for his Mayor campaign and wanted Francisca to be there with him,
and Francisca's like, but who would vote for him then,
Constanza doesn't buy it, calls Gastón to say she has changed her mind,
and when he arrives,
Francisca, with Constanza's help, looks quite the lady,

David is horrified to hear what Gabriela has had to say,
then Gabriela explains her revenge,
she doesn't want to kill Antonia, but expose her for all she has done, and send her to jail,
and she pleads with David to keep up his act with Antonia.

Cielos / General / Dama y Obrero

I think the guest singer at the anniversary party was "Roberto Tapia", who is also one of the three coaches on "La Voz Kids", and "will perform the vocals on "El Guardián de tu Vida," the theme song for Dama y Obrero"

Pasion prohibida

I, too wonder how they are going to untangle this mess in an episode. My best guess is that nothing will be solved, things will just explode and then we'll get one of those "tiempo despues" cards.
Is anyone at this point still rooting for Bruno to leave with Bianca? He doesn't DESERVE her! I AM very sorry for Bianca, but she would be so much better off without him.
Going to NY to ...procreate their first baby? 18 years old Neena and "not yet finished his 'carera'" Bruno? How do they plan to support themselves there? I didn't hear any of them say anything about a job.
I don't think Flavia will have her happy ending, after all, if Bianca can't, I don't think Flavia will.
Deniz should be relieved to be out of the house, but, boy, is Neena a real beatch or what? We all know she did this because Deniz kept saying that she and Bruno are not a good match...When the secret is revealed I can't wait to see her stupid face, and Francisca's, too, they've both been so selfrightous with Deniz.
Yair is beyond description at this point. Why won't he just die already!!

With a few hours left until the big finale my guess is that Bianca either tries to kill herself or Bruno, or both. I don't see Bruno having a change of heart, he's already choosing baby names for his Neena brats.
I really want to see Bruno suffer. I loved Pene when she called him out on his lack of courage (in a much more effective way than Bianca ever did): he's willing to save his own azz and let Bianca burn, so he deserves to suffer A LOT. But can't there be any other way than to have Biana suffer, too, or worse, kill herself?

Please, please, could we get DR. Levy for Bianca?

NovelaMan, are you around?

PASION PROHIBIDA penultimo capitulo pt1

“It cant be” says Deniz holding the diary in her hand. Nina walks in and wants to know what she is doing reading Biancas diary. And tells her off saying its private. He knows Nina has always loved Bruno but. “You don’t think he loves me?” Nina asks. Ariel says his opinion wont change what Nina thinks but it wouldn’t hurt to wait until the relationship is a little more stable.

Bruno and Bianca returned to the country house. He cant believe they came over here. All he wanted was to talk to her. Bianca says Pen suspects the affair. She asks if he remembers what they called the country house. Their refuge.

Nina complains to Flav about postponing the wedding. Flav says Ariel is right the wedding is going a bit too fast “But youre the one who wanted me to speed up the wedding.” Nina says. Flav says she made a mistake. Nina asks if she thinks she is moving to fast for the wedding. Flav says she should listen to those who care for her and maybe wait a year to get married. Seeing the look on Ninas face, Flav says “Maybe not a year but not this weekend”

Bianca says she remembers the first time she entered the country house. Every time Ariel held her she would remember her first time at the refuge with Bruno. She wanted to tell Ariel but she wrecked her car. Bruno says it was destiny that would not allow the two to speak. “Destiny or us?” Bianca asks. Bruno doesnt know. But theres nothing they can do they cant turn back time. Bianca says if he gets married it will be too late. Bruno says they have to admit this is impossible. Time will heal all wounds. Bianca doesn’t want time she wants Bruno. He says she cant. It was a forbidden love but now its an impossible love. They kiss.

At Ariels workshop. Deniz begs Yair to talk. He cant. Deniz is about to get fired and B&B will have their way if he doesn’t do anything. Yair says all he wants is for Nina to be happy. Deniz says Nina will never be happy with Bruno. She may at first but soon she will suffer like never before. Does Yair really want to give her a fake wedding? Temporary happiness with an expiration date? Yair coughs so hard he falls to the ground Deniz calls for help.

Bianca and Bruno are getting it on when he stops her saying it cant happen. Doesn’t he get what she feels is so strong that she loves him more than her own life she wants him all to herself. They kiss like caray. Bruno cant forget her. He tries and tries but he only needs her more. They kiss but then Bianca roughly stops him. She wont sleep with him after having bedded Nina. Bruno says she wants him. Shes dying to be with him but If he wants her body again then stop the wedding.

Ariel and Deniz help Yair on the bed again. Deniz doesn’t know how to explain to Ariel he just coughed like crazy. Ariel wants Yair in the hospital since he is only getting worse. He says their punishment is to love each other in secret and live with the guilt.

At the hospital, Ariel says Yair is in serious condition. Yair says hes doing better and wants to return (Really?! Your losing color bro!) Deniz says he will have to stay at the hospital for several days. He wants to go home. He promised Nina hed be with her until she got married. Ariel says most likely Bruno and Ninas wedding will be postponed. B&B show up (Ariel apparently doesn’t suspect anything). Bianca asks how she is doing. “Good” Yair says “Surprised that the wedding isn’t going to happen” Bruno asks where Ariel thought the wedding would be postponed. Ariel says he was told recently. Hes catching up to events. Deniz says the two should be left alone. They all leave except for Bianca. She wants to ask Yair a question. Doesn’t he think its time he told Ariel the truth?

Sylvia aks “Who said I like you?” Willy says they could have fun. They are both alone. Sylvia says “Just this once. I wont be a substitute lover like Eliana” Willy calls Eliana a skinny idiot saying Sylvia is a real woman. They get it on.

PASION PROHIBIDA penultimo capitulo pt4

Cami walks in Yairs room with his pills. Yair says she doesn’t need to do this but she gives him his pill. She tells him her parents are worried about him. Yair says he doesn’t want to be any trouble. Cami says its not trouble helping the person you love. Nina walks in and hugs him (pobre Cami). She tells him they cant scare her like that. Cami says she said the same thing. Nina apologizes for not greeting her. Yair asks Cami if she could leave them alone for a second she leaves and Yair says he needs to talk to her about something.

Bruno asks Bianca if she told Yair to keep his mouth shut she says she did but Yair is unpredictable: he could speak any second. Yair has no reason to break his promise. Bruno gets a call from Pen. All she wants is to ask Bruno a question. After speaking to Bianca and seeing what she saw, she reached a solution and has no doubts. “About what?” asks Bruno. “That you and Bianca are lovers” says Pen.

Bruno cant believe Pen would question Biancas love and loyalty towards Ariel. But Pen knows they are lovers and have been for a long time. Bianca wont care for her accusations. She sounds like Willy. She doesn’t give a s**t about what he says. She wants to know what he will do when Bianca is exposed he will stay by her side or will he abandon her? Pen is mistaken. She says she isn’t. She doesn’t know if Bianca is one of Brunos conquests or if he really loves her. But Bianca is her sister and she loves her. If Bruno leaves Bianca alone he will pay sooner or later and his punishment will be terrible.

Yair says all he needs is to see Nina and Bruno married. Then he can finally rest. Nina says he will get better if he takes his medicine. Yair asks her to promise not to postpone the wedding. She wants to know who told him that. “That doesn’t matter. Get married and be happy with Bruno and if possible go far away where no one can hurt you.” Yair tells her.

That night at casa Piamonte, Flav is in Biancas bedroom telling her to change her attitude. To take a bath, drink do something but she cant wander around like a lost soul. People will notice something is wrong with her. Bianca says something is wrong with her. Her soul is empty and Flav isn’t doing anything to make her happy. She tried a lot. She tried to convince Nina. So did Ariel. Bianca says that’s useless since shell just do what she wants. Flav says nothing can be done. Even Francis showed up. She supports Nina But they cant put a gun to her head. Bianca asks if Flav knew Deniz was leaving. Flav did. Bianca says ironically she wanted her gone at first but now she wants her to stay. Flav says Bianca is going crazy. Bianca says Deniz would leave once Bruno and Nina got married Flav has to do something. She must stop the wedding so Deniz can stay forever. Flav says her obsession with Bruno is changing her views. She talking like a crazy person she lost reason. “Who wouldn’t with such pain?” Bianca asks. Flav promises the wedding will be stopped. He will help them.

PASION PROHIBIDA penultimo capitulo pt5

Bruno visits Yair and asks how he is doing. “Bad. Don’t you see?” Bruno says Yair will get better. Yair says his soul and conscious are worse than his body and all because of Brunos betrayal. Bruno says they already spoke of this. Yair cant fail him. Yair thinks its ironic how Bruno wants him quiet yet Bianca wants him singing. Bruno asks if she wanted him to speak. Yair says “Yes. For some reason Bianca wants he truth to come out.” Bruno says that they had a deal. Yair says he will do his part if Bruno does his. Bruno says hell get married in a few days. In the living room Flav cant believe that Bianca never told her that Yair knew about the affair. “Well now you know” Bianca says. “What more do you want?” “To stop hiding things. If you want me to help you….” Flav starts but Bianca shushes her and Ariel and Francis show up. Ariel says dinners almost ready and Bruno and Nina will arrive soon. They will wait for the 2. “Yes” Bianca says “Like one big happy family” Francis says its good they aren’t here for she has something to say “Nina wants to get married next weekend. So does Bruno. Even though we feel this is rushed, I think they can make their own decisions. Its our job to support whatever they decide and not fill their heads with doubt. Don’t you think?” Ariel agrees. Bruno and Nina show up. They plan to get married this Saturday. Francis says that’s good news. Bruno and Nina plan to move to NYC and have their first child.

Ariel says NYC is a good place to start a new life. Flav says she needs a drink after hearing the news. “The wedding was premature but now children.” She says. Francis is happy at being a great aunt. Bianca says it the shame they want the kid far away. Nina says they will return to Miami once the baby is born. Bianca says sometimes its necessary to get away from the family to be happy. Flav wont let that happen. She wont let Bianca make the same mistakes she did which caused her so much suffering. Bianca doesn’t know how cruel society is to a cheating woman. It’s the worst sin she can make. She is Bianca Piamonte she isn’t part of the Santillana clan. She doesn’t want her ruining her fathers name. Bianca says she loves Bruno and hes marrying a woman he doesn’t love. He loves her. Flav says that doesn’t matter. And if the truth came out what would she do? Live out of love? She needs stability. They can leave and when they come back this will all seem like a nightmare. Like something that destroyed her life. Bianca says Flav doesn’t understand. She loves Bruno. Flav understand but love doesn’t matter. Shes marrying Danny and she doesn’t love him. Shes giving up love for comfort. Bianca must do the same. She wont. Bianca must admit she was defeated. That she lost. She must get up and fight a new battle.

GRAN FINAL TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DAMA Y OBRERO

I bet the ladies on this blog are pissed that Jose Luis Resendez is the galan and Fabian Rios is the villano since the women love Willy Del Castillo over Juan Marcos Arroyo. Fab looks the same except his beard is darker which helps back up the villano cred. I hope JLR doesnt give Ana Layevska any trouble. Heard he badmouthed Fonseca calling her a cheap actress and started a fight with Gabriel Valenzuela.

PASION PROHIBIDA will be the last Novela i recap. Maybe ill do more in the future but for now i wont. Ill still comment however. Hoped the PP fans and El Rostro like my recaps alot.

Topo phones Oscar Cardenas and sounds him out on a business proposition. He wants to give AC -- and his allies, el Cabo and Tijeras -- some competition. And don Cleto, Aurelio's suegro, is on Topo's side. Los Villalobos and Guadalupe? AC screwed them over. Oscar will think it over ...

Miss Sinaloa cracks. Monica videotapes her confession: Following Chacorta's orders, she added something to Isidro's drink and within seconds he was dead. But just before Isidro died, Aurelio came into the room and told him it was revenge for the car bomb attack against Ximena and the children in Houston. Can she go now? Yes, says Monica coolly, but to hell ... for killing the only person who ever understood me, the only person who ever loved me. Monica slips a plastic bag over the young woman's head and holds it tight until she suffocates to death. "Esto no es nada, Aurelio Casillas. Esto no es nada."

El Cabo and Tijeras are going to Mexico. Cabo wants to take down el Topo. At first Chacorta says that's not possible since he's on Cleto's side and you can't go after family. But Tijeras corrects him -- There's no family connection for them.

Marco questions Cleto about Sabino Villalobos's whereabouts. Cleto laughs him off because he knows Marco's evidence is flimsy.

Cabo and Tijeras board one of Aurelio's planes for the DF. They plan to go to Colombia later to deal with Oscar. Tijeras says he wouldn't mind ending up with the Robles place. Aurelio encourages them. Didn't the Villalobos kill Guadalupe? And didn't they take down the Villalobos? Monica should be grateful to them! They'll end up with the girl and the house!

Alba confronts Aurelio for setting up Cleto's arrest. She realizes his plan is to impress Ximena by getting Cleto out.

Chacorta tells Aida he wants to take Victor to live with los Casillas on the ranch. She, of course, is horrified and refuses.

Ximena is still on the bus in Sinaloa. She manages to phone Turco during a pit stop.

Claudia sweet-talks Alejandro into staying on the ranch for a few more days instead of going to the DF as planned.

The new editor tells Eugenia and Linares he wants interviews with Marco Mejía. Who's interested?

Turco reports to Aurelio that Marco is trying to link Cleto to the disappearance of the Villalobos. AC tells him to do and spend what it takes to get Cleto out. But as soon as Turco leaves, AC arranges for the bodies of the Villalobos to be discovered, to provide even more damning evidence against his father-in-law.

Marco gets the call from Aurelio's informer.

Cielos, Thursday, Part 2 of 2

Carmona finds one of the Casillas vans near the bus station. Now AC knows that Ximena ran away and took the girls.

Chacorta interrogates Alba but she tells him nothing.

At the police station, Turco tries to buy Cleto's release. Marco interrupts the transaction and Turco now pleads for Cleto's release on bail on humanitarian grounds is rejected.

Alba shows up with food for don Cleto and Marco is hostile to her and tries to turn her away. But when she asks him if he wants to put her in jail for having given birth to Aurelio and Chacorta, Marco relents and lets Alba through.

Aurelio calls Beto out of the pool to come help look for his mother. Claudia overhears and remembers seeing Turco with Ximena the night she left.

On the plane to Mexico, Cabo and Tijeras talk over their impressions of Aurelio. They think he has lost his focus. Cabo says it reminds him of what happened with Pablo Escobar when he started going nuts and killing his own people. That thing with don Cleto is a crock, says Cabo. And now he's telling us to keep an eye on Monica. Whoa.

Monica watches the now late Miss Sinaloa's video confession. She remembers her own confession to Roxana that she was the one who tried to have Ximena and the kids killed in Houston. Then she places a call to Aurelio -- she misses him so much. When is he coming to the DF?

Alba is sitting in the cell with Cleto when Marco announces that the bodies of the Villalobos have just been found. Cleto finally collapses from the heart attack that has been fomenting for several hours.

Topo shows up at Oscar's prison and tells him about his 15 tunnels to the U.S. Is Oscar interested in doing business with him?

The Colombians make it to the Robles mansion. Triste escorts el Cabo and Tijeras in to see Monica. Cabo offers his condolences and holds out his hand. Monica takes it while fixing him with a look of pure hatred.

CIELOS

While Marco is at the jail trying to get Cleto transported elsewhere, he receives a call from an anonymous person telling him where the bodies of the Villalobos are. He takes the lead and Ponte to retrieve the bodies. As soon as they leave, Turco comes back and offers the man in charge $300K to let Cleto go. The guy says no because Mejia is all over them. Mejia and Ponte come back after locating the bodies and break the news to Cleto that he definitely is not getting out now because they have located the bodies of the Villalobos as Alba is still in the cell trying to get Cleto to eat. After getting the news from Mejia, Cleto is having what appears to be a heart attack. Mejia just stands there and Alba yells at him to get help. Mejia leaves and calls for an ambulance.

P.S.
It was actually Niño who found the black suburban at the bus station. Chacorta and Aurelio are livid. Chacorta warns Niño that if something happens to Ximena that he will kill him. Niño is scared as sh*t.

Pasion Prohibida

Thank you for the recap, NovelaMan.
Only one more to go...

I can't wait to see the last episode, this is one of the very few tns where anything can happen. And everything looks so grim right now...
Ughf...

PASIóN PROHIBIDA

Cielos
Tks a lot NovelaMaven.
I knew Miss Sinaloa wasn't going to get out alive, but wow, Monica is sth.

Santa diabla is going to be on after Cielos. It is being filmed in Ft Lauderdale, so maybe I'll see Aaron Diaz, Gaby Espino, or Carlos Ponce. It is filmed at an old house on the river, built in 1903. It is beautiful & was a restaurant for many years.

CIELOS

Marvellous recap, NovelaMaven! I don't have much to add, just a few questions and comments. One concerns the phone call that Ximena made to Turco when the bus stopped. He answered immediately while en route to the jail, and he addressed her by name several times. I was very surprised that he did that, since surely he must be in a car driven by one of Aurelio's men. They all know that finding Ximena is Aurelio's top priority, so wouldn't the driver report what he heard to Aurelio?

Another comment concerns Mónica's flashback where she confessed to Roxana that she had ordered the hit on Ximena and the kids in Houston. I suspect that this flashback may prompt Mónica to kill Roxana, just about the only person who can tie Mónica to the attempted assassination of Ximena and the kids.

I also wonder whether now that Aida knows of Chacorta's wish to take their son to live with him and Matilde, will Aida and her son follow Ximena's example and flee? I'm not sure what Aida's financial resources are, nor whether Chacorta is having her watched.

Cielos, Thursday

Juanita,

I thought the same thing you did about Turco speaking so openly to Ximena. But then I just adjusted my beanie and I was fine.

About Roxana -- didn't Monica already kill her to keep her from killing Aurelio? Or did I misunderstand that scene? As Vario says, that Monica is really something.

I sure hope Aida manages to get away. She certainly looked desperate after that little visit from Chacorta.

Hey folks,
Sorry I misidentified the guy who reported finding the camioneta at the bus station. Thanks for the correction, VRO.

CIELOS

Though I miss at least 80% of the conversation coming from Cabo or Tijeras, there were a few over-the-top remarks they made in yesterday's episode that I caught (I think) and enjoyed. I think that as they were boarding the plane, Tijeras asked Aurelio whether they could have the Robles' ranch, and I think that Aurelio seemed to suggest that if they went to express their condolences to Mónica, that might be possible. I'm not sure I understand the logic here, but both Cabo and Tijeras were delighted with Aurelio's possibly agreeing to Tijeras' request. Cabo said he wished Aurelio many children, apparently a good thing. Aurelio replies, "More?"

A few seconds later, after Tijeras expresses his extreme enthusiasm for Aurelio, Cabo goes one step further, saying to Aurelio, "¡Queremos un hijo tuyo!" which I assume means "We want to have your child."

I don't see much importance in these remarks, but I did enjoy them, and they do show how emotional and outspoken Cabo and Tijeras are. Whether this will prove their undoing, I don't know. I wish I understood more of what they say. I usually hate what passes for comic relief in telenovelas, but Cabo and Tijeras are growing on me.

CIELOS

NovelaMaven, I don't recall Mónica's killing Roxana. If she did, I'm hoping it was during the week I was away--I never did fully catch up. If it happened very recently, I guess I'd better be sure my long-term care insurance is paid up!

One more thing about the situation with Aida: she must have felt especially helpless when Chacorta enlisted Victor Jr. to persuade his mother to let him come to the ranch so that he can go horseback riding.

Cielos

Juanita, I also find the banter weirdly compelling. El Cabo and Tijeras are at the same time stock comic figures, full of childish glee, adolescent appetites and naive vanity and also ruthless, sadistic murderers. It is as if India Maria were walking around with a machete behind her back.

---

After the Cardinal's murder in Monterrey where Lupe was also killed, Roxana guessed correctly that Aurelio was responsible for the whole show.

Aurelio, wanting to assert his innocence and neutralize Monica as a threat, came to the Robles house and entered unarmed. Monica believed him but Roxana, correctly, did not. She wanted Aurelio dead for killing both of her men. She pulled a gun on him. But before she could squeeze the trigger, Monica came up behind her and shot her in the back. I assume that she died instantly though we didn't hear anything more about it.

Cielos
Monica killed Roxana when AC came to offer condolences for Guadalupe. She knew he killed Guad & probably Isidro also, her husband & novio. She was going to shoot AC when Monica shot her in the back.
Juanita, good point about Turco talking with Ximena in hearing distance of the driver. I have been worried about the cell phone, thinking AC is going to take it & ck the calls. I think Turco will soon be history unless Ximena comes back. She just might do that because of her father. Why did Alba tell her he was in the hospital except for TN purpose to get her back.

CIELOS

Oops, you're quite right, NovelaMaven, I now do recall seeing that scene where Mónica kills Roxana. I had totally forgotten about it. (Now where did I put that long-term care policy??)

CIELOS:

Fabulous recap NovelaMaven. We knew Miss Sin wasn't go to make it. Monica just toyed with her for a few days, like a cat with a small bird. I thought she was going to use the gun though. Extra points for creativity with the plastic bag.

AC really underestimates the women in his life-- Ximena, his mom, and Monica. Monica is radiating pure hatred right now. I think all of these people will end up dead by the end (well, hopefully not Ximena and the kids), it's just a matter of who kills whom first.

Run Aida, run!!

EL CIELOS, Friday part 1

-Cabo and Tijeras see Monica and give her their condolences. She’s not buying it; she’d rather talk about what really happened to Guadalupe. Cabo reminds her that they helped her out in Colombia when she was kidnapped, but lights are going off all over her head now. She remembers that one of the kidnappers knew Cabo. They’re offended that she’d question their loyalty since Guad was a brother to them too. She agrees to believe them for now and asks Triste (Turco of the Robles) to pour drinks. She made sure he stuck around. They all toast Guad and the Colombians tell her they are there for anything she needs, and Tijeras does mean ANYthing. Triste might have been shaking his head at this. She waits until they leave to swear at them.

-Gov’t guys hear about Don Cleto and think Aurelio is getting a little too powerful. Ramon is going to get what he cans while he can.

-Dona Alba wants to go to the hospital with Don Cleto and Marco actually lets her. While there she calls Ximena to tell her. I think Ximena gets off the bus to come back to see her dad while he’s still alive. This is a terrible decision.

-Oscar and Topo are in the prison yard talking about a business deal. This could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

-Matilde goes into Leo/Claudia’s room to search her things and finds her gun. She’s interrupted by Aurelio who talks the gun from her and asks what she’s doing. Orejas looks concerned. Matilde doesn’t trust “Claudia” and doesn’t want her messing around with HER Aurelio. Aurelio rejects the Succubus and won’t be a traitor to his brother. The Succubus laughs and tells him he’d go against his mother, wife, anyone. Then she teases him about Ximena abandoning him and he doesn’t believe it. She continues to flirt with him until Betico comes in. She gives him grief about entering a room without knocking but he’s had it with her too and doesn’t apologize.

-Chacorta apologizes to Nino about yelling at him the other day about not watching the cars that Xi took and then they toast Nino’s kids. I’m worried for Nino.

-Marco at the hospital sees Dona Alba praying. He talks to her a bit, something about feeling guilt for what others have done, I think? He refers to her boys, then tells her about how he feels guilt for his mother dying by a bullet that her boys meant for him. She tells him mothers would die for their kids but this doesn’t help him. It’s a nice scene between them though.

EL CIELOS, Friday part 2

-10:43, theme song. Is there a reason for this showing up so late, because it just seems stupid.

-Leo finds her suitcase messed up and the gun missing. Aurelio is behind her and asks what the gun is for. Defense, of course. Hasn’t he ever been to Colombia? It goes with her everywhere. She doesn’t feel safe anywhere and asks for it back while Orejas freaks out back in the trailer. She asks for it back and he puts it in his pants. Jerk. She asks if he thinks she was there to kill him? Because if she wanted to do that, she’d first do a little dance for him so he couldn’t think of anything else, then she’d take her clothes off (more dirty talk), and when he was there on the floor, he’d think it was all worth it. (I think this was the jist of this). Whatever, it’s working. She’s got his number.

-Chacorta talks to Ale and Betico about the next album and notices how Betico looks at Matilde when she walks in. Little tiny light going off over him. It’ll take him a bit longer to fully catch on.

-Cabo and Tijeras are back at their place saying rude stuff about Monica. They make a bet as to who will sleep with her first. They’re funny guys to watch but I kinda hope she kills them both. Slowly.

-But she may not have to because Oscar is still making deals from prison and he won’t let them get away.

-Back to Leo and Aurelio. She tells him the gun had nothing to do with him but he does like the idea of her little dance. She’s still going to be loyal to Ale and turns him down. He knows he’d make her happy and no one says no to him. She says she’ll be the first. Nino interrupts his advances and he gives back the gun but keeps the bullets. When he leaves she, without locking the door first, talks to the microphones and tells Orejas that she has everything under control. Orejas is super impressed with her pantalones.

-Yep, Ximena is back at the ranch. Crap. She’s being treated a little roughly and Turco tries to defend her but Aurelio lets him know this is none of his business. But he does order Turco to take the girls out of there and when everyone is gone, he slaps her. Jerk.

-Lots of good avances. Xi and Marco meet. Aurelio accuses Turco of knowing that Xi was leaving. Cabo flirts with Mo who looks happier than she has in a long time, probably because she’s trying not to laugh. And, best of all, Betico suggests that “Claudia” be another voice on the record and Matilde is all “WTF?” Ha!

Cielos
Great Kelly, tk you
I was actually surprised that Aurelio slapped Ximena. I knew there would be some kind of punishment but not that.

Everyone is po'ed at Aurelio, even his mother. Alba is so upset about Cleto, not sure what she might do.

The weekly thread is up, do you think your recap s/b over there? I don't want anyone to miss it.

Thank you once again, Kelly, for the prompt and enlightening recap.
