Amores Verdaderos #164 Mon 7/1/13 Anyballs steals a signature move from Al Capone... spreading threats all over town... ; Lilly not giving in and JA won't back up on Vicky, so JA and Vicky have sad goodbye... ; Poor Carlos got confused with swiss cheese... AGAIN
Nil-Brain miffed, treats Bea like crap ordering around, then fires Dances.
Bea and Dances talk afterwards, she asks him why got fired, he tells her he had a fling with KenDrat… Bea very understanding. He just wants her to smile. (AWWWWW shucks!!)
Vicky in her art studio thinking… remembers sweet-NOT-Lilly’s words: can accept you as aunt, but not as my dad’s sig other!! JA comes in, reassures her he will fight for her and for their love. Says Lilly has decided her life, (hugs her), have made a decision. Can’t work for u anymore, for dignity. Time to go (haven’t we heard this before?) She asks why now? You have saved my life so many times… he insists its time to fly. He wants to get a job elsewhere (… wait for it… wait for it…) to give you all you deserve. (her color comes back to her face, even more when he repeats he luvs her and smooches her lips swollen…
Lilli in her room talks to pix of mommy, will avenge you, she will pay for every one of the tears you shed for her sake.
Carlos arrives at B mansion, Polita plays her typical PR welcome skid, makes him laugh and goes halfway up the staircase to put up another forced audition… Poor Carlos, he must be getting Howie Mandel syndrome. Have to say with her body language and her hands all over him, she was quite funny.
Adri comes in, Polita plays ‘oopsie, was just entertaining him for you’. Carlos follows the lead, he seemed quite entertained by the whole thing, laughing. (Polita wants to sing the theme of the movie… LOL!!! good one!)
He came to explain why she found another lady actress in his apartment. She says no need to explain. Carlos knows better, she is just playing indifferent but she does care. She says he has always been sincere about relationships, asks him not to worry about her. See you this afternoon at mtg. (he leaves, she takes deep sigh… then tells Tomasina having an open ended relationship will prove unbearable)
Nil-Brains at business call, KenDrat shows in his office, She is not a happy camper, she did convince doctor to do the DNA test, since doctors forbid that the baby give a blood sample, they will do test via saliva or hair. Can’t wait to prove you WRONG!!...
At clinica, Anyballs and Cande are ready to leave, he got released. Dances comes to pick him up. Anyballs sends Cande to go ‘walk the hallways’, Dances tells ANyballs Nil-Brains just fired him. Tells ANyballs why. Anyballs asks ‘is it true?’. Dances says yeah, before she met Nil-Brains. Anyballs giggles and says he likes Dances now more than ever. Tells Dances now you will work directly for me.
At her greenhouse, Lilly-No-Heart is deep in thought, sad. Roy notices and asks her about it. She thanks him for noticing but won’t tell why she is. He says no need to thank, he just wants to support her. Lilly brings out her parents opposition… then drops the bomb on him, you are looking at an authentic ‘Balbanera’. Roy has a rather moderate reaction and asks what will you do now? Then admits he can’t believe it. She says me either, sort of a Cinderella story. Went to sleep a poor raggedy ann, woke up a B princess.
Vicky and JA are reciting some of her poem writing… her part seems sad, but his part is more enchanted at the feeling of ‘being with you’. She asks hif he talked to Lilly. He says not yet, but talked to Zambrano (Eagle 4), he will care for her. She repeats she only feels safe in his arms.. more hugs&kisses.
Carlos, Joselyn, this new girl/actress (Sabine M) and Adri have a rather sticky meeting at Carlos. NG makes it clear to Adri (by words and also by hanging to his arm like a leech) that she is Joanne’s girl.
At B house, Cande insists she can’t live at B manor, even on Anyballs insisting. Lilli comes in, Cande might leave, but she will stay, to Vicky’s amusement.
Back to Constantine glass window model apt… The ladies at Carlos (NG and Adri) are playing tug-o-war with whether the leading lady should be a Vicky look-a-like. Joanne the Director seems to side with NG, leading lady does NOT have to look like Vicky. Then they sit at opposite extremes of table (Joanne/Carlos smartly leaves the battleground… NG basically imposes herself as the actress for the leading lady role). This is funny… and Sabine M is the perfect ‘in your face, dah’ling and if you buy that next I will sell you an airport on top of the Washington Monument’ antagonist here.
Back at B manor foyer… Lilly asks Vicky if she can stay, Vicky is forced to agree. She gets a call, its Carlos, seems he wants to make the dining table battle a 3-way, but she gives excuses of work for not going. (Nil-Brains arrived and was hearing her phone con, she noticed and made it look like it was someone interested in her, or at least a mysterious caller)
Dinner at Joanne’s seems to have terminated a bit early and suddenly, NG invites herself for a tour at the studio hosted by Joanne.
Anyballs back in his room at B house, Polita brought him his late night snack. HE asks that the driver have the car ready, he is going out. Can’t rest, he has to watch over the wellbeing of his family. Even with Polita’s nagging, he won’t change his mind about heading out, btw, don’t tell my daughters.
At a café, Bea and Dances chat about the day’s events. Only thing Bea resents is that she won’t see him daily at office. Dances says don’t worry, now work for Anyballs. Bea says the one that won’t like that one bit is Nil-Brains. Dances not worried about that, won’t even cross a word with him. All care about is to be near you… (kissy kissy)
Kendrat at her place, again mad as heck, loudly on phone with inepto (Espanto). He warns her not to do anything stupid on Nil-Brains.
At B house, JA assures JM and Polita he will be in touch. Lilly comes by. Leaving already, dad? Yup. JA says never thought we would get to this. Can I at least give you a hug? (hug, he is really holding his soul in his arms)… Vicky comes behind wall, listens in, as he tells Lilly love you so much… Lilly tells him ‘if that is true, you know what you need to do. Forget Vicky B fo’eva. JA says ‘you want me to treat you like a woman, then act like a woman. I respected your ma. I would have given anything for her. But now she is not here. (insists they are two different loves, repeats he never failed Cris, OR you as a dad) Love you very much. But this time you are wrong. This time you have to respect my decision. (Vicky breathes again behind wall)… He leaves, Lilly takes a deep sigh. And then seems to have made up her mind, and it don’t look good…

He thanks her for telling him. They keep talking about how sad goodbyes are. JA is clueless about what he will do now, so used to spending 24/7 with you. But I am sure about my feelings for you. I love you and that won’t change. (they smooch… a good one.) He changes subject to Lilly, can’t believe she is staying and I am going. She is the one that has to understand that you and I have the right to our love. Vicky worried, how will I live without you (and she even looks like Leeann Rhymes mother). He says no worries. More smooches. They will walk out together.
Tomasina and Zambrano are at foyer… (boy if foyers could talk). Vicky and Zamb leave, but not before she and JA share one last glance of love…
Tomasina tells JA ‘it won’t be easy to be away from her, will it?’ JA agrees.
Adri and Lilly come down the staircase very happy (well, Adri is, Lilly is a bit scared) announcing they have just selected the room Lilly will move to. Lilly goes away again, Adri asks JA how he feels, he is sad for Vicky leaving and for the changes in Lilly. Adri says she is going through a difficult process. JA says she is someone different. Adri assures him she is still Lilly Arriaga, but now is also a B. JA says what do you mean?? A B?? All the love and time we spent with her just evaporate just like that?? JA reminds Adri that Lilly got the character/temper of her mother. Adri assures him she will watch over Lilly. JA says that is because she sees in you the mother that she lost. Adri says she can understand Lilly trying to claim what is hers, but she is the same little person as before. JA says no, she is no longer my Solecito.
Vicky at Carlos place, asks Zamb to get something for her in car. Carlos gets updated on JA, he believes JA acted a bit cowardly, he should have stayed and defended their love. Vicky says you don’t get it right. He just quit his job. Carlos asks ‘are you going to marry him?’
At kitchen, Dances tells Polita Anyballs fired him. Polita blames herself, but Dances calms her down. Found a job, and won’t even have to leave the B mansion. (Nil-Brains heard this and immediately questions Dances… so he says Big MR B hired me.)
At Carlos place, some ski-masked thugs come in and beat Carlos to a pulp right in front of Vicky. She goes to try to grab the cell phone… but they won’t let her, they push her against a table while they keep on making swiss cheese out of Carlos. The thugs leave quickly, Vicky shocked at what is left of Carlitos.
Previews: It is Frankie’s turn to get Anyballs threats… then Anyballs tries to buy Frankie’s quiet permanent exit…

Well, Lili has certainly gone the venganza route. Ugh, I was hoping she wouldn't do this. I am glad the Angel is leaving, but feel sad for both Ms Vikki and the Angel. Lili DOES NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO RUN HER PAPA'S LOVE LIFE!!!! Yes, I am peeved, sorry for the rant. He told her the truth. Yes, she has to process all this, but she could have been a bit kinder. Jus' sayin'!
So who wants to bet these henchies that beat Carlitos up were sent by Anyballs? Remember he called that henchie from the hospital? I bet that was what this was about. Poor Carlitos. I wish Ms Vikki had kept Zambrano with her, instead of sending him out of the apartment.
Bruna is way over the top, really! It was like verbal sword fighting with Adri and Bruna, too funny. I agree with Adri though, I can't see Bruna as Ms Vikki at all, and I had to laugh when Bruna was telling Adri she had played a killer, lol.
The goodbye between Ms Vikki and the Angel was heartbreaking! I hope they continue to see each other. Angel did say he was going to stay with Opalina.
I had to laugh after FF fired Salsa Dude and he went and told Anyballs, and Anyballs hired him right back. The best part was Salsa Dude at the Balvanera Manse afterwards and FF asking him what he was doing in "his" house, lol. I am so glad Salsa Dude stuck it to FF.

Not sure why JA and Vicky had such an emotional farewell. It's good that they won't be with each other 24/7. It wasn't healthy that he was her boyfriend AND her employee. Now he can just be her boyfriend and they can have a more normal relationship.
I hope Carlos is able to tell Vicky right away about Anibal's visit and threats. It's so obvious that he was behind this attack.

Even though she's a bitchy vixen, she can easily play a buttoned down, classy business woman like Victoria, is she's a good actress. Funny thing is, Sabine, who usually plays the bitchy, villainous vixen, played a buttoned down, classy business woman and mom of a 20-something troubled girl in Ni Contigo Ni Sin Ti, and it was totally believable.

have to admit i am one of you all, enjoying how Anyballs plays around with Nil-Brains as if he were a marionette in his hands... too funny how Nil-Brains tries to fake and talk like he is in control when he knows the snow-hair-man calls the shots, and has all along.
I think the temporary parting of Vicki and JA helps the plot along since it give some space to the issue of Lil/JA/Vicki confrontation. When Lili finds out that JA is not her father and that Christina was not her mother, her antagonism to the JA/Vicki relationship will lessen. Of course she will be devastated to learn the people who raised her were not her biological parents but she will have less of an attitude about JA/Vicki's relationship.
After Vicki has been roughed up JA will be back pronto. Where was Zembrano during the attack??
Anibal is surely responsible for this attack. Maybe this will come out and force Candelaria to turn on him big time.

Marta, another fabulous summary. You always combine the elements - fun "Howie Mandel syndrome", insight "Lilly-No-Heart" and lovely observations:"...(hug, he is really holding his soul in his arm)" beautifully.
Relieved that JA was firm yet loving when he spoke with Lili: "This time you have to respect my decision. (Vicky breathes again behind wall)…." Lili knows he treasures her above all else but that he will not yield to her demands to give up Vicky. Lili's vow she "will avenge you, she will pay for every one of the tears you shed for her sake". Lili has been through a sad ordeal losing her mother, but to actually consider vengeance gave me a chill. Let's hope she abandons that plan quickly.

Hopefully both Roy and Adri can talk Lili down from her hard stance on JA-Vicky.
I did notice how Vicky bristled at the idea of Cande moving in. If Vicky really wants Lili to respect her relationship with JA, she's going to have to respect Anibal's relationship with Cande.

What is wrong with Anyballs ? I think that he has gone over the edge. His daughters are not teens anymore, but he continues to try to run their lives. I wonder if he had Carlos beaten up before when he was a young man pursuing young Vikki ? What a terrible man. Time for Any to exit stage left. However, I do love to watch him thwart that little twerp at every turn. I hope that the two of them will somehow cause each other's downfall....and take the ho with them,

Venganza just isn’t in Little Orchid’s makeup. I predict she will not have the heart to go through with whatever silliness is running through her head. ITA that JA did a good job laying it out for her, especially the part about never failing her as a father.
Cande is a big disappointment, again. She should be comforting Lili and steering her right. She knows Angel and his solecito are in for the ultimate big shocker. Why not help them before that hits? At first, I thought it wasn’t a good idea for Cande to move into the mansion either (yep, Miss Vickie sure was prickly about it), but somebody needs to watch over Lili in the B manse.
Might Carlos now be in need of a bodyguard? JA just happens to be freed up.
Too bad for Zambrano. Again something bad happened on his watch.
Though I like Adri, I enjoyed Bruna sticking it to her. Bruna does not have to look like Miss Vickie. As Carlos said, it isn’t an autobiography.

Hi everyone, I had a busy month with exams, deadlines, and a trip to Germany (ok, that was fun). At last I'm at home and now I can enjoy AV again.

Welcome back Aribeth! Sounds like quite the month. I'm sure you did really well on your exams.

Anyballs cannot drop dead fast enough for me. He is the worst. He is not even gaining anything out of his evil machinations; he's just making his family miserable for no good reason. What a sociopath.
Yawn Carlos definitely needs security. JA would probably not be the right guy for the job. How about Guzmancito? And Bruna can hire Nikki as her personal assistant/stylist to help freshen her up to play the role of mama.

Actually, I like sitting by anyone's table except for Aníbal Lecter, Kendho, her henchman (though he's kind of fun) and Cande (she needs to grow a pair).
I think the 95% of the cast is likeable because they're either good people, or on the way to becoming good people (Dances with Sunglasses - almost there, Royero - he's working hard on it), or simply fun (Odiodette), or "I'm ashamed of it, but I kind of like this jerk" (the Furry Fornicator). :)
And the Little Carnivorous Plant needs to grow up asap. She could take notes from Nikki and Roy (even if they hurt her in the past).

Welcome home, Aribeth'. I would love to go to Germany someday because both of my maternal grandparents were born there. The closest I ever came was a layover at the Munich airport on the way to Florence. I noticed that the people in the airport all resembles my mother and aunts and the folks I grew up with in my Pennsylvania Dutch community!!!

Marta--Swiss Cheese. I had to read the whole thing to get it. You've still got game. The recap was a great read, start to finish.
In a way I feel for JA & Vikki. They have never been in a "normal" relationship. No phone calls, dates, dinners, watching tv together. They'll have to learn there will be long stretches of time where they aren't going to see each other and that might be tough on both of them. No wonder their parting was so emotional.
Where are they going to meet to fulfill their "carnal" desires. Arriaga won't go back to the apartment he shared with Cris and Opalina's place may be a little awkward for Vikki. They can't keep going to their little hide-away in the country (not Cuernavaca--the other one), it's not theirs and it probably cost JA some pesos.
As long as JA was there on a daily basis, whenever Vikki needed or wanted him, they could bounce thoughts and ideas and feelings off each other and the physical nearness to each other became what they were used to. She's going to miss the big guy's smile, his colorful language, his hugs, his kisses, his...be still my heart. I miss him already.

Susanlynn--I don't think Anyballs would reveal it, even under torture or at his deathbed. He's too arrogant and self-serving. He wouldn't want his memory besmirched by what he did. He knows it was wrong and he's going to all lengths now to protect that secret. But he is so sure he isn't going to have to reveal that secret. Cande was the only loose nail in his coffin.
I think in the end it will be Candyland that reveals the secret, not to Adri, but maybe to JA first. Not a spoiler. Mads--Correcto, Lili doesn't have a right to run her papi's love life. She needs to keep her feelings to herself or express them benignly, as in her convo with Roy, but VEN-GAN-ZA? Our Disney Princesa? Where did that come from. Is she suddenly the spawn of Kendra?

Anon at 1:21 this morning--Vikki sent Zambrano back to the office to pick up a folder she left on her desk. I remember her giving him exact instructions on where it was. So, it's not like he was standing outside the door and missed the two masked men.
