Amores Verdaderos #179 Tue 7/23/13 Gramps gets a reaming in the church, Big Angel has major meltdown
My recording crapped out for a few minutes but I got most of the episode. PUT A FORK IN IT, IT IS DONE! Recap as done as it's gonna get!
Here are some screencaps to get us started.
The wedding is interrupted! |
Big Angel's tearful reaction to the Furry Fornicator's shocking news. |
Lili looks at her dad, equally shocked and in despair. |
The bio parents are certainly not enjoying witnessing poor Big Angel's obvious shock and distress. |
OVERVIEW WITH SCREENCAPS. It's as done as it's going to get!
* Vicente (soooo glad he won out over Carlos, BTW) and Adriana are looking forward to Lili finding out the truth about her true parentage. They worry about how Big Angel is going to take the news, though. Their worries are not unfounded, as we will find out.
Happy and normal! In this novela? Inconceivable! |
* Preparations for the boda are underway. Lili has made everything ready and she's gushing at Gramps. Meanwhile at the mansion, Big Angel and Vicki are preparing to attend, and talk about their own plans for wedding bliss.
* Gramps talks to himself while in the still-unoccupied church. He calls the wedding a "sham," and says that he's going to keep Cande strung along, "she's so naive" he thinks, to believe that he'll ever tell Adriana about Lili being her kid. Gramps is still full of douchatude plotting, even on his wedding day.
The King of the Douchebags. |
* The Furry Fornicator has to settle a score with Gramps. What better place to do it than at Gramps's church wedding? He's telling the Ho of this and she tries to discourage him. They also talk about his taking a job at an agency in Chicago.
* Everyone's congregating at the church for the wedding. Cande really does look lovely with her lacy veil. Lili is there, so happy for everyone and oozing love for Gramps and Cande.
* During the wedding ceremony, the Furry Fornicator comes in and busts up the whole thing, holding that incriminating letter that Cande wrote to Big Angel and Lili (to be opened after Cande's death, but of course the FF STOLE this letter).
He holds up the letter he stole from Big Angel's place and says he has a "gift" for the bride and groom. Uh oh! |
* Salsero aka Salsa Dude is having an attack of conscience and we have a series of flashbacks which remind us of all the crimes he committed—plotting Vicki's attempted kidnapping(s), succeeding with Nikki's kidnapping, extortion, and so forth. He's worried that he will be an unfit role model for Guillo. He fears that Bea will kick him to the curb if she finds out about his past.
You look so pretty in purple, Salsa-Dude. |
* All heck breaks loose at the church. The FF is not gentle in revealing the news. Gramps is yelling to shut up. Cande looks fragile and tears stream down her face. She's learned to be helpless.
* Big Angel has a COMPLETE meltdown when he hears the news. The news (that Lili is not his blood child) is stretched out through most of the episode. Lili is in tears. Big Angel is screaming, "It's NOT TRUE!!!" I really feel for him, but it goes on a bit much.
Portrait of a Deeply Distressed Angel #1. |
* Back to Salsa-Dude. He seeks the advice from godmother on what he should do. She sees how torn he is and suggests that maybe it's time to come clean with Betty. His godmother reminds him that he was able to kinda sorta protect the Balveneras from the Ho. Salsa Dude suspects her crimes (killing Christina, almost killing Vicki, kidnapping Thomasina) but he can't prove this as yet.
Salsa-Dude, still sporting a fetching shade of purple, seeks advice from his madrina. |
* Back at the church, the truth is painfully extracted, bit by bit. The whole story of the baby switch. The whole gnashing of teeth about how could Cande lie. Vicente gets in Gramps's face about how Gramps framed Vicente for drugs and let him rot in jail, AND visited Vicente with the purpose of lying about Lili's death (being born dead) and warning Vicente to never pursue Adriana again or Gramps would kill Adri. What a guy! Big Angel confronts Cande and is especially upset because he and Christina were not allowed to grieve for their own baby, who was stillborn. (Thank you Vivi for pointing out how important this is in the Latin American culture.) Cande explains that she did what she did out of love and was trying to shield them from pain.
* Everyone is disgusted with Gramps and each family member takes their turn telling Gramps that he is Dead To Them. Gramps is especially upset when Lili does that. He says he has "big plans" for her. She replies that she'll never forgive him for wanting her shuffled off to an orphanage. Good point, Lili!
Big Angel is reading Cande's letter to the group. Shock and awe. |
The Bio-parents react. |
Big Angel's BIG reaction. He cries that Lili is not his daughter, not of his blood, which seems especially painful to Lili herself. |
Too little, too late, douchebag! She doesn't want to be your grandkid any more! |
* Guillo catches Polita trying to eavesdrop on the drama going on inside the church. Guillo admonishes her and tells her eavesdropping isn't right. She agrees and they go off to pray for everyone instead.
Guillo is the brains of this team! |
* The Ho has sent Espanto (wearing fetching black fright wig) to follow Big Angel. Supposedly Espanto was supposed to stop the FF from spilling the beans, but too late for that. (The Ho says to herself that FF is worth more dead than alive now. Uh oh!) Espanto spends the whole episode lurking around and then trailing Big Angel as he stumbles around outside, in a blind stupor.
* Adri wants to report Gramps to the police. Everyone's ripping Gramps a new one. The priest (who was supposed to marry Gramps and Cande, BTW) is still there watching this circus, and turns around to pray to God to help these people!
* Lili is clearly distraught over Big Angel, and cries that all she wants is to find him and tell him she loves him, and that he is her "only" father. Vicente seems very saddened by this.
* Lili is not forgiving of Cande for the baby switch, even though it's explained that Cande didn't know the kid was stolen from Adri and thought that the baby was just going to rot in an orphanage. She thinks Cande should have been honest and let Big Angel and Christina adopt. (Which yes I understand, but wouldn't a formal adoption be a big PITA and not a snap to accomplish?) Edit: Vivi posted in comments it's pointed out that it's a big no-no to not allow family to grieve for lost love ones, which Cande didn't allow to happen when she concealed the fact of Big Angel's and Chris's stillborn child from them.
* Big Angel has left the church to continue to have his meltdown while walking around through the streets. Vicki is worried about him, thinking he shouldn't be left alone. (Ain't that the truth!) Vicki wants to go look for Big Angel, but Nikki urges her to stay behind. Guzmancito (and Nikki) will go search for him.
Big Angel stumbles over something as his hysterical blindness sets in. Concerned people rush to him to find out what's wrong. |
* Gramps says he's outta there and gets out of the church. He tells his chauffeur that he'll drive himself. He takes his luggage from the trunk and mutters to himself that he's not going to wait for them to all kick around him even more! He won't give them the satisfaction. Off he drives.
* Vicente is really happy to talk to Lili as her daddy. He makes it clear that he cannot possibly replace Big Angel as her father of 18 years, but wants her to know that he would have loved to have been her daddy if things hadn't been so messed up. Lili is receptive to Vicente and Adri, and is gracious, but she can't stop thinking of how much her daddy Big Angel is suffering. Adri, Vicente, and Vicki all are in tears. Lili seeks the comforting embrace of Vicki.
The Baby Daddy is happy to explain his feelings to Lili. |
Everyone just needs a good cry! |
* The FF returns to his apartment, expresses his love for baby daughter Mia, and then thinks to himself that he's starting a new life tomorrow (presumably in Chicago, where his new job is).
* Big Angel is almost completely blind as he meets a little flower girl who is also named "Lili." He cries. He's now wandering around outside as bystanders wonder what is up with him. Meanwhile, Nikki and Guzmancito are out looking for him, (no luck so far) while Lili is starting to get hysterical with worry about Big Angel and having a premonition. Big Angel starts to go across the street and the last scene we see is of him maybe on the verge of being hit by a van?
Befriending a little flower girl named "Lili." |
UH OH! Is he about to be hit by a van? |
END OF EPISODE!!
Avances: More stuff with the fallout of finding out about Lili's origin. MUST SEE TV!!!
Labels: Amores
I felt for both JA and Lili. Just a bad way all around to find out news like that.
I also felt bad for Vicente, because it was clear that Lili won't ever feel even half of what she feels for JA for him, and that isn't Vicente's fault at all. Lili was even in a panic at the end because she could sense JA was in danger.
The only other thing I would add is to why Lili is mad at Cande-- she said Cande should have let JA and Cris mourn the loss of their child, and THEN let them decide if they wanted to adopt the abandoned baby (Lili). She's correct. Sure, it might have taken time, but it would have been legal. It would have left a paper trail for the bio parents to find, and it would have allowed for that other child to be properly mourned.
You are the best! Love all the screencaps and this recap is stellar. You didn't miss a thing.
O.M. Gee what an epi! So much emotion. I felt so bad for Lili and the Angel. I also felt bad for Vicente and Adri. I'm glad that Lili accepted that they are her parents, but she still feels Angel is her Papi. Cande will certainly pay for this, but at least she made it clear at the time of the switch, she wasn't aware that Lili was really Lucia. I don't blame Lili for not forgiving Cande. Especially when Cande found out who Lili really was. She should have said.
The poor Angel has hysterical blindness, poor guy. The shock certainly was horrifying for him. I felt for him in the church when at first he denied it and then had to accept that Lili wasn't his. It was heart wrenching. And wanting to know what happened to his little bebe he had with Cris. Combine both of these shocks and no wonder the poor guy has hysterical blindness. I hope that van doesn't hit him!
I liked how the whole family, especially Lili ganged up on Anyballs. So he was neva gonna tell the truth, and he wasn't going to allow Cande to say it either. At least she did explain despite him trying to stop her. I am glad the truth is now out, but don't like the way it came about.
I understand Nellie's need for revenge on Anyballs by telling the truth, and I am glad he didn't kowtow to the Ho for money for the truth. He wanted to make Anyballs life hell and so he has. I even think Nellie had regret in his eyes when he told both Lili and the Angel that they were not father and daughter, even though they are in their hearts. I just wish Nellie had found some other way. But there really wasn't was there? The way Nellie did this he ensured that the Balvaneras would hate Anyballs forever! I don't like what the Ho said about Nellie being worth more dead than alive. I did like how he said he loves Mia.
Cande did look so lovely with that wedding ensemble and that car was fantastic! I love old cars like that. Now she will have to pay for her silence and lies all this time.
I am worried now about Dances, but he has got to face up to his past misdeeds. He is right, I think, that Betty will kick him to the curb. I hope he finds some way to redeem himself and I am glad he talked to his madrina. She has always given him such good advice.
I had to laugh at Guillo stopping Polita from listening at doors. Say what you will about Guillo, but he does follow that bodyguard code that his Tio Frankie taught him.
So I wonder what is in store for us tomorrow? I don't want Angel to die and I'm hoping he gets his sight back once the shock has worn off. One can hope............
What a heavy episode!!! My heart was breaking for Jose Angel, and I found it so sweet that he recognized Adri and Vicente's hurt as well as his own. At the same time, I had to laugh at some of Yanez's melodramatic acting, especially the "Liliana no es mi hija!" scream and the temporary blindness. It was so similar to Cristina's reaction to when she found out she was Anibal's daughter.
Lily's reaction was perfectly natural. I feel for Vicente, but I'm sure that by the finale she'll live happily ever after with her two papas.
I don't hold out much hope for Nelson to survive. This was a perfect swan song for him- stir up drama as always, and leave the mess for others to clean up.
I'm dying to know what's going to happen to Salsero! Please survive!
One nice note of comic relief (besides the unintentionally funny dramatics): Guillo of all people suggesting that Polita act more mature and stop eavesdropping. Ha!
I know this is a shock to JA (and believe me I like his character) I kept thinking, you raised her. Do you really think its all going poof b/c you are not her bio dad? Sorry the beanie slipped off.
I really enjoyed Animal (this is great Susanlynn) being bashed around like a pinata. Though like you Mads, I hated the way FF did it and how it hurt Lili and JA.
I do think Lili will warm up to Vicente and remember all those call of the blood moments she kept having with Adriana.
- The telenovela classic: Bodus Interruptus!
- Gramps' lifetime of machinations are outed!
- Padres Verdaderos!
- Arriaga tries to throw himself under the bus!
Must See TV!
Best line --- "Gramps is still full of douchatude plotting, even on his wedding day." BwaHahahaaa!
Anibal is soooo full of himself. Megalomaniac, indeed! I am so glad all the truths have finally been revealed about Anibal's machinations.
Poor Arriaga, bless his heart. I was appalled that nobody went outside the church to keep an eye on him, from the get-go. He looks like one of the zombies in Shaun of the Dead.
"The priest . . . is still there watching this circus, and turns around to pray to God to help these people!" And if God can't help them, perhaps Dr. Phil, Montel, et al, can.
Ay, Salsero, I am keeping my fingers crossed for you and Bea.
This was a very good episode, well written, capturing the pain and anxiety of all the characters involved. Okay, so JA's reaction was a little OTT and I had to giggle a few times (those durned Shaun of the Dead flashbacks!) but, wowsers, what an epi!
Stellar recap. Totally agree with Vivi that your light touch was perfect: "The Furry Fornicator has to settle a score with Gramps. What better place to do it than at Gramps's church wedding?" Indeed!
"She's learned to be helpless" was my favorite. Totally true and insightful - You nailed it. She is not the victim here, she is the perpetrator. Love may have been the motivation but destruction is what was wrought.
JA is devastated and yes, even though the performance may have been slightly over the top, his emotional desperation and heartbreak were understandable. I would expect nothing less from AV and Eduardo.
Madelaine, my favorite (and one of the only amusing moments) was Guillo admonishing Polita not to listen at the door. I'm toasting him, alone at the Guillo table.
Karen and Bailey Marie, I also feel Lili will have a wonderful relationship with Vincente, after she and JA come to accept and make peace with what has occurred. The flashback scenes of JA riding with a young Lili had me crying. The years have forged a bond and love that even news like this could never shatter. JA is her father in every sense of the word.
While everything seems focused on JA and Vincente, there is the issue of Adri, who has mourned the loss of her child and then aggressively sought to find her. I hope they revert to the loving relationship they had since the day they met. I have high hopes.
doris, "Ay, Salsero, I am keeping my fingers crossed for you and Bea." I'm a little afraid to speculate here, I don't have a good feeling.
Vicki's face mirrored her pain while Nelson uttered his life changing words. His pain is her pain.
With the variety of (hideous) wigs Espanto has sported, there must have been a wigmaster on set.
That poor priest. Prepared for a lovely wedding and then hit with a Balbanera train wreck. How does one minister to such a flock? :)
Now that the horrible truth is out, let the healing begin.
Elvira, thank you for this and for all your marvelous recaps. Another treasure.
Diana
What still isn't clear to me is why Anibal did this in the first place and how can Vicente practice medicine after having been in prison (even if we know he didn't commit the crime).
bailey , like you, I felt very sorry for Lily, and I was. Disappointed in Big Angel. I am married to a big angel who is the best dad in the world. I kept thinking of how he would have handled the same situation, and I am quite sure that despite being shocked and devastated by the news, his priority would be to protect his child. I wanted Big Angel to hold on tight to Lily and tell her that she WAS and would always be his daughter even though he was not her biological father. I couldn't believe when he ran from the church and left Lily there or that someone did not stop him. Vikki tried to go after him, but Guz stopped her and told her to give him time alone. e needed to be strong for Lily who will always be his daughter in every way except biologically.
As for not being able to mourn a dead baby, I have mourned a dead newborn. I cannot fault Candy for trying to spare her daughter the pain of the loss of a child. maybe my mother would have done the same thing if the opportunity had presented itself. I think that we all try to protect those we love from pain. However, Candy should have broken off with Animsl as soon as she found out that he stole Adri and Vicente's baby and that baby was Lily and told everyone the truth.
I felt terrible for Adri and Vicente who looked helpless and hurt.
Anibal just wants to control the lives of his women- they should have the careers he wants for them; have babies when and with whom he selects; and marry the men he selects. If you step out of line with any of these things, watch out. He will destroy your life to either break you into submission, or just break you.
The flashbacks to little Lili blowing out her 2nd bday candles, and a bit older riding a horse with JA were so sweet. No one can take away those experiences and memories from him. Vicente and Adri missed all that.
I thought it was a nice detail that Lili was wearing the earrings that Vicente gave Adri for her 15th bday. Vicente was really touched that she kept them all these years, and gifted them to their daughter (unknowingly).
After it was explained that Cande gave Cris the child she thought was destined to the orphanage, I understood (although didn't necessarily condone). However, her silence in the face of knowing the truth of what Anibal did changed the complexion of everything. She stonily refused to tell the truth, even when Adri was literally on her knees, begging. At that point, she became culpable (to me), although certainly not to the extent Anibal is.
You and Vivi are right - JA should have told Lili she was his child. Period. I do think however, he is literally out of his mind with grief. Hopefully that will occur once he gets over the initial shock.
Diana
Vincente is dreamy...
Diana
Thanks Elvira and everybody for clearing things up!
Clara
This was a very emotional episode.
I have to say ditto to all of the comments about Candy keeping quiet and that JA holding onto Lilli once the news had been released.
UA- I wondered too about Vincente having the criminal record and not changing his name as did Joan Constantine did.
There is a special place in hell for Animal/Anibal. He stops at nothing and for what purpose. To keep the Balvanera name holy???. He has smeared the name more than any of his daughters could have. What a horrible person!!!
Talk about swan songs, how about Aníbal's? I loved his speech to the audience with the altar as his backdrop. [Or maybe he was addressing a level over the heads of the Patio?]
Could we expect anything less of Arriaga after all the "she's my only blood" talk we had been inundated with? My goodness, the writers were so busy foreshadowing this moment, they must have gone through several boxes of charcoal pencils.
And now they go and throw the poor guy under the bus!
Go Nelson Brizz. What a show. Too bad he didn't bring a gun and shoot Anibal in the leg and throw his cane at him. At least Candi didn't marry the old buzzard. And, what is with all this guilt that Candi is toting around? This was a loving thing on her part even though illegal as hell.
And, Angel's reaction: superman super emotional reaction.
Sunday night final. Is that a first?
Hope this isn't going to be another Fuego en la Sangre ending with Juan chasing Fernando for days, running atop a train.
Again, I'm enjoying all the comments here.
Just a moment to ask what might have been. Adriana was a 15 year old unwed mother. Does anyone know how old Vicente was at the time? Was he an adult or did they meet in algebra class? To say that Aníbal handled things badly is a whopping understatement, and what Cande did is almost unforgivable as well as criminal, but the ultimate results from Lili's perspective were not all that terrible.
And are we being too quick to forgive Opalina and the Snails? They seemed to know a lot more than they ever shared.
Carlos
You are so right about Opalina! She did absent herself recently didn't she? At least she did warn JA to be close to his daughter and he tried but I think she also tried to warn Cande awhile back about her actions in the past, hmmmm......
While we will never know what might have been, they loved each other then, they love each other now. Teenage pregnancies are never easy, but I sense with a tiny bit of support and encouragement, it would have worked out. Of course there would never have been anything of the kind from Anibal, but I believe and hope this couple would likely have beaten the odds, even if left to their own devices. Vincente didn't let a "minor" interruption of being framed and jailed deter him so I think he would have carried on and become the success he is today regardless.
Of course, Cris and JA would never have "had" Lili and their lives would certainly be different.
Yes, Lili is loved by many but the near ruination of many lives is a very high price to pay in view of what transpired.
Diana
Vikki's hair looked really pretty, not like that horrible aging 'do' she sported at Nikki's wedding.
It would have been far less interesting -- to me, at least -- if Adriana had been say, 18, instead of 15. Then Aníbal would have been seen as a monster from the beginning. [Of course some of you saw him that way. I didn't.]
I would also like to know more about Vicente -- his age, his circumstances, how he overcame his time in prison. Well. Maybe we'll know more before we're done.
There were a few options, depending on how Anibal would have handled the situation:
Had Anibal been supportive, neither Adri nor Vicente would have suffered and Lili would have grown up with her loving bio-parents, as a Celorio-Balvanera. Lili/Luci would have been born in a nice hospital in Mexico City and not Santa Rita. No baby switch/replacement would have happened. JA and Cris would have been devastated by the loss of their baby and their inability to have more children. Would they have gotten through the grief? Would they have eventually adopted? Who knows?
But Anibal DID interfere, and so Adri ended up alone in Santa Rita having her baby at the same time as her sister Cris, and having her baby taken from her. Then destiny was in the hands of Cande, and she did a loving, but illegal, thing in keeping that baby and not telling her daughter and SIL of the baby's true origins and the true fate of their baby. Lili had loving parents, instead of the uncertain fate of the orphanage (which could have led to a thousand more possibilities for her life). If she couldn’t have been with her bio parents, having JA and Cris as parents was marvelous option. It would have been better for all, had that come about in a legal way—adoption. A paper trail would have led Adri to the truth sooner, and the Arriagas wouldn’t have had this devastating blow.
Though unlikely, it does happen. Almost 40 years ago I delivered a baby for a youngster who was 14 at the time she got pregnant and had just turned 15 at the time of her delivery. Her boyfriend was the same age though he looked even younger than she did. Their parents got together with them and it was decided that they would stand by them and they got married. About 3 years later they had another child. Here some nearly 40 years later they are still married and their boy and girl are both married and have families of their own.
So it happens... but rarely.
Carlos
I believe in love and in Adriana and Vincente. I like to think they would have weathered whatever storms they encountered. I realize it's not the ideal situation for anyone, but they were and are a special couple, capable of fighting whatever odds to be together with their child.
Diana
I suppose that we can ruefully respect the evil old coot for sticking to his guns to the bitter end.
Carlos
I liked your line---Gramps is still
full of douchatude plotting even on his wedding day.
And I liked---She's learned to be helpless. So true. She earned the name CandeCoward.
Doris---I think that you said it best---Anyballs is a megalomaniac.
And with---If God can't help them, perhaps Dr. Phil,Montel, et all can
I'm still laughing.
Diana---The poor priest. I was thinking the same thing last night.
What a wretched mess. Is God still out there? AYUDA!!
Tablet jefa---Yes I agree. The animal Anyballs has sure smeared the Balvanera name.
Vivi---I didn't know about the earrings or maybe I had forgotten. It was nice of Lili to wear them.
Did anyone notice that with all of the shouting, Adri's baby never cried?
What a shocking heartbreak for Lili
I know the news must have been terrible for her, but looking on the bright side, when all the dust settles down, Lili/Little Orchid will have two fathers to love her.
How many people can say that? As it turns out, she might be the luckiest of all.
I thought that Nikki might try to say a few comfortings words to Lili last night, but no, maybe tonight.
The FF finally got his revenge but in doing so, he has sealed his fate
He won't have long to live, he's toast.
Wonder where Anaballs is off to? He won't be welcome in the mansion
that's for sure.
How will it all end? Must see tv.
the gringo
"I suppose that we can ruefully respect the evil old coot for sticking to his guns to the bitter end." Eh,,,, respect -- not so much. Recognize one's stubbornness, yes. Unfortunately, this characteristic is true of people in real life, as well. They do not put the "fun" in 'dysfunctional', either.
I did laugh when JA went blind, there is a time when too much is too much. Especially when the microbus at the end. Poor JA but a little less drama would have been better to keep his scenes from turning into a comedy.
I think Aníbal had coming the hate he received at his wedding, I'm only surprised even Nikki and Guzmán cared enough to attend the wedding. But all those Balvaneras thrived in their drama and I guess the instinctually expected some.
Jarocha
Jarocha
I think the support of the adults/family is key to helping these young families make it. It's important for any couple with kids, but vital for parents who are still kids themselves.
My husband and I met when we were in high school, and we have been married for a long time. I did not get pregnant until AFTER we married in our 20s. However, I am certain that if I had, both of our parents would have supported us. I have many friends who started dating in high school and are still married.
This episode makes me reflect on the way all our lives are affected by the different turns in the road. Decisions made can affect the way our lives unfold.
I was so riveted during the church reveal that when the "to commercial" music came on, I felt like I was coming out of a trance.
EY was perfecto. Can't imagine anyone walking through the streets in hysterical blindness and getting (almost) hit by a van doing it any better. But I agree, Angel should've stayed with Lili.
Bailey Marie - I too felt the synergy between Cris's walking the streets sobbing about her daddy news and getting hit in traffic and Angel walking the streets sobbing about his daughter news and (almost?) getting hit too. Angel and Cris are both from the country and use to walking off their problems, but in unpopulated open spaces - not city streets. Synergy like this makes me think that if, as Opalina's shells say, Vickie and Angel were destined for each other now, then the shells must've destined Angel and Cris to be together for the first part of his adulthood.
Lili was meant to be Angel's. She did not get those premonitions and sympathy pains from the Balvaneras or the Coronas or the Celorios. A while back, Opalina said some mumbo-jumbo about Angel's mother, who had this gift, placing it in Lili. Of course, Opalina and her shells won't help Cande in court if this baby snatch is prosecuted.
I have to give kudos to Adriana for how she handled this. I'm sure in her dream of her daughter finding out she (Adriana) was her true birth mother, Adriana didn't picture Lili being so distressed about it. Lili was polite to Adriana and Vicente, but understandably her heart was with Angel.
Anibal cracked me up because he never second-guesses himself. He’s always right and if his family can’t see that, f ‘em. Anonymous from yesterday, I too am ticked that the Godfather has never activated himself to “do” anything about his old friend.
Diana
Ewwww I so hope that doesn't happen with Espanto/Inepto running over JA with his trashcans!
I am so intrigued about what these writers have in store for Anyballs, Kendho and Espanto. I am not even going to think about Salsa Dude. I just hope Salsa Dude is not killed off.
Diana
Nelson spilling the beans pretty much sealed his fate (the way Kendra was talking about Nelson being dead in her rant) told me the dude won't live long enough.
Elvira, there was a funny line in your recap that would have made a great title..." Ripping Gramps a New One." I cannot tell how long I laughed at that line . it just tickled my funny bone !!!
Elvira, Thanks for the photos. I especially appreciate Adri and Vicente walking in the park. Ahhhhhh, Vicente pushing the baby carriage...so sweet.
.Adri and Vicente sitting in a tree...k-I-s-s-I-n-g...First comes love...then, comes marriage...then , comes baby in the baby carriage.......except in their case, this was not the order of events...more like..first comes love..then, comes baby...then dad steals your baby and puts your NOvia in jail...then you spend almost 20 years apart..then you discover your child is alive...then you meet again..then , you are pushing another guy's baby in the baby carriage ! Juaever. WOW, Vicente looks mighty fine in coral.
They advertised FIVE more episodes.
So apparently Sunday will be two episodes.
