Amores Verdaderos EXTRA – El Clamor Publico No. 5 – 8/25/13

El Clamor Público

This is the next to last edition of El Clamor Público©. There are rumors that Jeff Bezos is interested in aquiring it (supposedly aimed at expanding opportunities for a certain study group of the Spanish language found somewhere on the internet). This one does not include Weekend Edition Headlines. There is a Patio Chatter from the Past, Re-Quotable Quotes, Balzac (heh heh) Highlights, The Collected Wisdom of Diana, and Cristina’s Death Notice. Ed. Note: Most all portions of the content have appeared elsewhere.

The editorial staff is aware there is competition for attention over on La Tempestad, but as yet they have not begun any publications in the Pueblo de La Lay-Dee del Mar.

 Patio Chatter From the Past

Nikki’s lapel and collar is made up of the carcasses of several multi-colored road-kill rabbits. [Cynderella’s episode #98]

Fashion police wanted! What was up with Nikki's dead animal vest…[Anon]

Do the circus clowns know that Nikki stole the shag rug out of their van? What was that thing she was wearing, Yikes! [MC]

MC--You'll soon find all kinds of shag rug pieces at Meta*Mart (hemmed, sanitized and brushed). We predict they are going to be a best seller item this Spring with Miss Nikki as the fashion pace-setter. [Anita]

Oy! I was blocking that shag rug shrug/shawl shoulder wrap thing out of my memory bank, and y'all had to mention it... I won't be ordering one because I know our dog would attack it or think its a toy and rip it to shreds. [Doris]

We also have the same shaggy merchandise for sale in the Pet Dept. (Hint--they are cheaper there because they are seconds. After all, they are going to get peed on and ripped up right away.) [Anita]

The vest or whatever it was looked like roadkill hit by paintballs. [GinCA]

I could not take my eyes off of Nikki's furry vest thingy. I kept wondering what it was made out of. Who would purchase and buy such a thing? And if I would be seeing it soon in a store near me, like so many other tn fashion statements. [Vivi]

RE-QUOTABLE QUOTES

May 4F choke on Kendra's curls. Oh that man makes my skin crawl. Eee-eeew! (that is the Southern way to say it .... with two syllables...) [Doris]

I think Guzman served Oatmeal for dinner. That love scene [between Guzmi and Nikki], Ms. Victoria in Texas (if you read this), was dull. [Cynderella]

Lol, Sadly I agree. I was waiting for some hot passion to take place, maybe they felt they gave us all we could handle the night of Nikki's wedding. *sigh* [Victoria answers]

Surprise us! Tell us that Aníbal Balvanera's real name is, say, Bernard Schwarz (or Pedro Hernández), and all this self-aggrandizing "abolengo" stuff is his own invention, his desperate attempt to compensate for his humble origins. [NovelaMaven, Queen of Script Revision]

Maybe Odette will take out Aníbal via silla-de-ruedacide. [Doris]

BALZAC (heh heh) HIGHLIGHTS

I too want some Balzac. [Niecie]
Bring on the Balzac! [NovelaMaven]
Yes, let's see some Balzac (heh heh). [Carlos]
Not much was eaten last night [at the compromiso dinner]. Polita, Jean Marie and Balzac must have made out pretty good though. [the Gringo]
What have they done with Balzac (heh heh)? He should have been in the kitchen last night. [Carlos]
Maybe Balzac (heh heh) got sick on all that fiesta food from the night of the compromiso. [Anita]
But then Odette did kick Balzac (heh heh) to the curb... didn't she? [Carlos]

NM- LOL! Thank you for the hilarious opening interview with Balzac*. So do we think he self medicates? We all needed some self medication after this episode. [Vivi]
*Reproduced in full either at Epi #126 or AV Extra – El Clamor Público, Issue #2 (6/2/13)

NovelaMaven, too cool... you were able to snag an interview with Balzac (heh heh). I just wish you'd asked him more about his time out on the street, but you did reveal his association with Opalina. Who knew? [Carlos]

Good morning! Balzac (heh heh) has asked me to pass along his regards. He's glad you enjoyed the interview though he is still feeling emotionally shaken by the experience. He needs a little time now to lick his ... er ... wounds -- he hopes you will all understand.  He did mention, however, that he disapproves very strongly of Kendra co-opting Betty's plot line. One character should respect another's space -- Kendra Ferretti has definitely closed a line. (According to Balzac (hehe)). He also asks that no one on the Patio refer to Roy as a "dog" since it would be an insult to canines everywhere. (He is fine with "troll".) [Novela Maven]

Yippee, the return of Balzac. [Niecie]

THE COLLECTED WISDOM OF DIANA, GODDESS OF THE HUNT, THE MOON AND BIRTHING  (We pick up where we left off in Issue #3--be sure to re-read the Schnitzel convo which took place while Diana was absent)

How do you solve a problem like Felipe? The man just doesn't seem to learn his lesson. I'm not even sure that being beaten to a pulp will deter him from gambling further. A 12 stop [sic—good one, intentional or not] program is a must.

Was it just me or did [Leo] really seem to rip the tape from Bea's mouth? Ouch!! The big brute was throwing her around like a rag doll. He will stop only when he's dead. Which, by the way, can't come quickly enough for me.

Not quite understanding why Vikki and Adriana cannot get over their anger about Paula but never held Anibal to the same standard. Takes two to tango.

Anibal could not have concocted a more nefarious plan. [The rocks in the coffin.]  It was beyond evil. Now that Adriana knows her child is alive, he could at least soothe her pain somewhat by admitting what he did and trying to help her. He really is despicable.

I'm annoyed with myself that I keep holding out hope for[Paula]. I think it's because she has two wonderful children. Bea cares so much about her and Francisco can't be whole without her.

I'll just say I love the chemistry between JA and Vikki. The sizzling chemistry the smoldering looks. Sigh. It was truly a lovely moment between JA and Vicky.

[Kendra] must have a large closet of fantasy gear. I can only hope we've seen the last of her little outfits. Maybe I imagined it but I thought Nelson was trying to stifle a laugh when she first grabbed him. I hope they are all having fun making this.

Mothers are such a factor in our galans’ (and galán wannabes - Santino) lives in this novela. Sinners, saints and a mixture of both. The mother in the mix whose past silence and knowledge, that may or may not be revealed has the potential to rock the world of many. Paula.

Cris is who she is. Sometimes I cheer her, sometimes I just wish she would tone it down a bit and sometimes I wish she would just keep things to herself.

Bad enough Kendra is providing Cris with atrocioius fashion guidance (put the girls away - NO ONE can concentrate on anything you are saying), but her new look and independence is driving a further wedge between JA and Cris. I also have a bad feeling about her trip [to Cozumel].

I applaud Vicky for realizing she has been a bit of a tiger mom and opting to take piano lessons herself. Is a friendship and ultimately forgiveness for Paula in the works?

JA's balancing and juggling a myriad of secrets, lies, and several unhappy and desperate women is precarious at best. And Anibal thinks HE has stress? Anibal hasn't a clue.

For the first time, I was totally disillusioned with Cris, who spread Kendra's nasty, lying garbage gossip in mere minutes. I wouldn't want her as a friend either. What a terrible example for Lili. We are never too old to be influenced by our mothers, are we?

While frustrated by the poor communication and misunderstandings between José Angel and Vicky, I'm tolerating it because it is helping to prevent them for doing something they will both be sorry for later. Both are honorable and there will need to be major life changes before the two can be together and be happy. Starting a life with cheating goes against both of their moral characters.

Cris is one of the few characters who can make you smile one minute but cringe the next. Seeing her fuss and fawn over Kendra is hard to swallow.

Can Francisco really take Roy seriously? I mean they aren't even on the same playing field. I could see him being jealous if Nikki had anything remotely resembling a real man but...

I think JA is simply acknowledging the truth and no longer supressing it. The huge difference is "Angel says the relationship between him and Cris will never be the same." The cosmic shift is (IMHO) he still cares for Cris but he no longer loves her. That said, I do not believe he will break up his marriage. He believes in fidelity and so does Vicky.

Editors Note: During Diana’s unforseen and unfortunate absence, we replace her Collected Wisdom with Doris’ Wit, Susanlynn & NovelaMaven’s Wittier, and Julia’s Wittiest (and Carlos’ Confectionary Confessions).

Good grief, Vikki, you didn't have to destroy all your drawings & painting of JA. Sheesh….! [Doris]

Wow, those cupcakes that Roy brought looked delicious. [Carlos]

For a moment there, I thought the strippers were going to sing the "Y.M.C.A." song. [Doris]

Now that Balzac (heh heh) has lived with Jean Marie for awhile, I wonder if he'll have ambivalent feelings (much like José Ángel now has) about getting back with Steve? [Carlos]

Royero really could stand some sensitivity training, even if he is only marrying Nikki for her family money. Sheesh. What a dolt. [Doris]

Nelson keeps breaking glasses that the staff has to clean up. They should start giving him his whiskey in a plastic sippy cup. [Julia]

JA could learn to lanzar Nerfazos next time he gets angry. [Doris]

How did this crabby old coot run a successful agency before Victoria came on board? [Doris]

Oh yeah. The best part is still ahead of us. Release the Circus! :) [Aribeth]

What; this isn’t the Circus yet?? [Emarie]

OMG!!! Ms Vikki goes down. Even with four bodyguards. Well, I guess that only three were on duty. [The Gringo]

I wonder how bad Vikki's injury will be. Oh well, probably yet another classic telenovela hospital scene, with oxygen tubes to the nose and everything. [Doris]

Have we ruled out bullet-proof Spanx? [NovelaMaven]

Please tell me Meta*Mart stocks the bullet-proof Spanx in animal prints. [Julia]

I hope Zambrano doesn’t get fired. [Vivi]

That was a gorgeous dress and color Vikki was wearing when she got shot. What a shame it's ruined by a bullet hole. [Doris]

From Elvira’s recap…Thomasina is having to give a statement to the police, including describing her would-be galán to a police artist. She has stars in her eyes as she "corrects" the rather accurate drawing of the galán/bad guy, comparing his looks to both Brad Pitt and Dustin Hoffman. The police exchange dubious looks.

Doesn't seem like Espanto will be calling [Tomasina] for a second date. [Niecie in MD]

From Elvira’s recap…Roy the Boy has to leave for a training session (which most likely involves a couple of German blondes with wiener schnitzel for brains).

Oh, the insult to the wiener schnitzel, lol, to those German Girls. Let's just say they have schmaltz for brains. I love wiener schnitzel! It's all crispy and golden and lemony. Too good for their brains I must say. Schmaltz is definitely better. [Madelaine]

I say we throw Royero under a bus. Soon. [Doris]

Definitely, Roy is ripe for a sartenazo. I'm not sure about "schmaltz for brains" for Roy the Boy's girl toys. It makes them sound all over-the-top sentimental. [NovelaMaven]

Schmaltz in German means fat, lard, grease. Royero might have that instead of gray matter in his head. I could easily call him "lard head." [Doris]

Maybe instead of schmaltz, the cuties have schmutz [German for ''mess''] in their noggins. [Susanlynn]

Now I have it schmutzkopf, that will work. They do have "messy heads" don't they. [Madelaine]

I hear they are serving wiener schnitzel for lunch today on the Patio. [NovelaMaven]

Hey...new idea...maybe the two blondes' heads are filled with what we just had for dinner...sauerkraut!!!!...or maybe borsht. [Susanlynn]

It strikes me that the conversations that people seem to be most engaged in around here concern things that haven't even happened. The two blondes -- who may be German, though some think Russian -- had a walk-on part several episodes back and here we are trying to agree on the appropriate German food metaphor for their brains. Bratgehirn, Bratpfanne, Muskelmagen -- who cares what they mean? They roll off the tongue so delightfully. [NovelaMaven]

Yay!! Diana is back with her Better Words of Wisdom

There is now no doubt Cris has lost JA and her raw, naked calmness is all that remains. It was difficult to watch, especially as we know she has lost him emotionally if not (yet) physically.

I can only surmise Roy's smarmy charm, lopsided grin and sweet nothings (literally) does work on naïve young women. Sigh.

So glad Lili came to her senses and can't wait until she encounters Roy and Nikki.

The love between JA and Vicky is deepening as is the chasm between JA and Cris. Huge sigh.

I hope JA puts some movement behind his words and pummels Nelson at the next opportunity.

We've all surmised that something has to give here and unfortunately Cris seems to be "it." Still, her latest actions (while heartfelt) aren't ringing true. I've always felt JA and Vicky would never truly be happy together by knowing they decimated Cris. While I want them to be together, I'm not comfortable that things have progressed to the point that Cris knows without a doubt JA and Vicky are in love. He has admitted his love to Vicky, she has admitted her love for him to herself. Will they be able to leave it at that?

Not aware that Kendra has ever dispensed ANY valuable (or honest) advice, but I think Cris did select the only viable option she had. The alternatives to either suffer in silence (an almost impossible task for her) or continue to rage and spew recriminations (breaking down the relationship to an irretrievable low) seemed no longer feasible. I was relieved JA did offer to quit and go back to the country - at least his conscience is still functioning. Glad Cris did not give in and accept that option as she likely knows in her heart she would be relocating them but not solving the problem.

Roy is contemptible. Pond scum.

EY's tears were too much alone, combined with Erika's - pitiful. I was a little relieved that declarations were made but thankfully, nothing further (I don't consider the kissing of hands unpardonable). I think I'm going to trust JA and Vicky will continue to love from afar...

…here and now, JA and Vicky have done nothing really wrong. Inappropriate perhaps but...

…as to the signage near Lili and Rolando’s "epic smooch..." Explosive and dangerous for certain.

JA did the right thing by going to Cris and I totally believe that had she melted into his arms, their story might have had a happy ending. A reconciliation and relocation to the country might have healed their wounds and allowed them to move forward.

It didn't appear Vicky harbors any secret longing for [Carlos Gonzalez]. But then again, how could anyone compete with JA's love and lavish attention. Sigh...

I would preferred “The Kiss” to have been delayed, but that was not to be. While I wanted to smile and share in their delight, I could only grimace as Cris' pain was so fresh. So was this the end or the real beginning?

Leo has mental health issues and while that would never excuse or justify what he has done, Kendra has made the foul choices on her own of her own volition. She is the guiltier of the two.

Even though I knew what would happen and I'd been preparing myself for months, I thought her death was simply horrible. The fact that she was murdered was a shock.

I'm glad that JA did the right thing by leaving. I can't begrudge him and Vicky the goodby kiss. The heartbreak he and Lili are in for will be devastating.

I keep feeling sorry for Paula and am rather disgusted with myself. Paula says a silent prayer: "God, please save her. Don't leave me with this guilt." Yes. Please. Don't let Paula feel any guilt for this tragedy she herself wrought. Blech.

While I thought it entirely inappropriate that Vicky went to the hospital, I think she had to show up at the wake. I cringed when she walked in but understood that she had to (and needed to) make an appearance. I think JA and Vicky did the right things. She by appearing and he by acknowledging her but knowing it was best that she leave.

JA has always disliked Kenda - knowing she is Nelson's amante and then having Cris work for her just added fuel to the fire. I'm sure he surmised Kendra may have been behind Cris saying she wanted a separation. I wasn't at all surprised how he treated her - he has never hidden his feelings when he doesn't like someone.

As well done as Cris' death and aftermath has been handled, could the writers please treat us with a small ray of happiness? A Santino/Bea kiss? A Balzac sighting? Something? Anything??

DEATH NOTICES
Corona, Cristina (de Arriaga and posthumously Balvanera), age, between 36-40, passed into the glory of eternal rest, with her family at her side. The cause, reports the family, was a fatal hit and run accident, in which she suffered cuts and bruises to her extremities and internal injuries, fatally ruining her kidneys. The police, it seems, were unable to get a description of the murder vehicle or the driver, last seen as a pizza delivery man.
She leaves behind to mourn, and to celebrate her life, her loving, but tortured husband José Angel; her daughter who is probably not her daughter, Liliana; her devoted but lying liar mother, Candelaria; her living, not dead father, Anibal, who had no inkling he had a third daughter, making her a Balvanera.
Due to this revelation, she also leaves a half-sister, Victoria Balvanera Brizz and another half-sister, Adriana Balvanera, who might or might not be her daughter's biological mother; also a half-niece, Nicole (can you be a half-niece?) and if Liliana is not her daughter, then she'd leave behind another half-niece.
She also leaves behind one friend, Paula, who was no true friend and now feels deeply sorry for herself, and one snail and card reader, Opalina, who wouldn't read her future to her and now we know why.
Interrment was private. Expressions of condolence can be sent to The AV Patio People at CarayCaray. The family requests no flowers. However, please send some fresh flowers to the cemetery as the grieving widower has made a mess of the ones that were there.
There will be a guest book on the Patio for anyone who felt kindly towards the deceased to sign. It will be located at the Cristina Table. Monday, the book will be sent to Jose Angel and the Table retired for the rest of the telenovela.
Notes from those who mourn her passing
Poor Christina was destined to go and now we know it's to the great beyond not divorce court. [GinCA]
I would like to be the first to sign the guest book for Cristina out on the patio. As you know,I was in Cristina's corner from day one. [the Gringo]
I have signed the book of condolence and we will be retiring the Cris table today. Cris will be sorely missed. [Madelaine]
I can't see why our mysterious Opalina is in such a hurry to push Vikki into Arriaga's arms. Clearly, even if it may not be too soon [after Cristina’s passing] for V&JA, it's certainly too soon for Lili and Nikki, not to mention our own gringo. Let's wait few days... maybe take the time to find and kill Leo, spend quality time with Stefano, Jean Marie, and Balzac (heh heh), take a few bubble baths with Kendra and Nelson... heck, there are lots of useful and fun things to fill the time... then… one night... José Ángel can take Ratiana bowling... and the Ikkis (since Nikki has broken up with Roy) also decide to go... wait for it... bowling! [Our Carlos]

Comments:
Amores Verdaderos was an amazing experience. True, the storyline was fun and entertaining (with a few exceptions), the casting and acting - superb. But what elevated this was the camraderie of the gifted recappers and commenters of Caray Caray.

Thank you, dear Editor at Large, for compiling yet another extraordinary issue of El Clamor Publico. Anita, you elevated this experience to a higher level by making us all feel special and an integral part of the amazing AV community.

I savored every word of this. Re-reading the comments made me appreciate anew all of the witty observations, sharp snark and simply amazing details. I am honored that you included my comments (I say very humbly and gratefully). It truly meant so much to me.

As we sail from one story to another, many of us remain together with an opportunity to catch up with friends from long ago and meet new ones. I will always remember AV with a lingering fondness and heartfelt gratitude.

Anita, I will early awaiting your last edition!!

Diana

Thank you Anita! Ditto everything Diana said. Couldn't have said it better. But then again, she IS the Goddess of Wisdom. :)

Anita:

Marvelous, simply marvelous! This edition of El Clamor Publico # 5 is outstanding Anita!

I am with Diana, Amores Verdaderos was an amazing experience and the commenters were so wonderful I really enjoyed our group. We all stuck with it, even when the going was slow and I really liked everyone's insight into our characters.

I too like how you included my comments and that you took the time to ferret out all the marvelous and witty comments our commenters posted. Especially the Wisdom of Diana.

I am glad a lot of our commenters are joining us on La Temp and what a wonderful group we had for AV and now La Temp. I can't wait for the AV DVD to be released! I know they chop them up but they usually leave all the good stuff in. I miss AV and especially my telenovio EY! I hope he comes back and does another TN.

I am so looking forward to your last edition of El Clamor Publico. I want to see what other marvelous things you will put up : ) Thanks so much again, Anita!

Anita - Thanks for putting some lol in my Monday morning.

I'm still missing AV. Great characters. I adored Cris. If they had done a spinoff TN with her as a newly single country girl making her way in the Big City, I would've watched it.

Thanks Anita, this is a delightful way to begin a Monday. I really miss AV, although so far, LaT has been something of a very pleasant surprise.

I especially miss little Balzac (heh heh) and strangely enough, old Aníbal. I so hope to see many of those fine actors again soon...

OK?

Carlos

Dear Anita,

What a wonderful job you've done with Clamor No. 5. It is a good reminder of how much fun AV was.

It's great to see the Diana Papers in one place and read how that kind and clever commentary on the story unfolded over the weeks and months.

I am especially glad you featured excerpts from Elvira's recaps. Sometimes we are so dazzled by her amazing screencaps that we forget how damn deadpan funny she can be.

¡Muchísimas gracias, Anita!

P.S. I think we should steer clear of that Bezos guy. Or at the very least, we should consult Miss Vikki's abogado before signing anything. :D

NM--Color me dunce, but who was Miss Vikki's abogado? It wasn't the snails, it wasn't Balzac (heh heh) and it wasn't Yawn/Carlos. Did he actually help her resolve any legal issues--her divorce maybe? Gaaack, do I have to go back and read through all the recaps (hmmmm).

Issue #6 will have some gems, including some final words from our Carlos.

Anita:

The Abogado got our Betty released from custody, got Candelaria set free of all her charges as well and also got JA his money back from that other scamming abogado. Jus' sayin' ; )

Anita,

What Mads said. :D

Lic. Restrepo -- unassuming, quietly competent, honest. He's the guy you want going over your documents with a fine tooth comb.

Goes to show you what goes on when one is paying attention to other, flashier men.

Yes, I would want him working for me. Kinda reminds me of the clerks of old with their green eyeshades bent over dusty documents, making sure of every jot and tittle and every "i" properly dotted with circles or hearts.

Thank you, Anita. I needed El Clamor Publico # 5 because there is a hole in my heart from missing AV (ok, E Y) which was a somewhat original story to me, with great acting and a nice sense of humor. Now we have a great looking guy (Sweet William) and a stick figure as leads (though Pesterita is great fun) and of course, Oblivio is soo oblivious and probably the stupidest man on the planet..

Your magazine is a LOL and I think my fav is: "Let's wait a few days...maybe take the time to find and kill Leo." Carlos Thought this was funny because I can see the Patio Crowd actually going out and taking care of the Big Rat.

Can't wait for Numero 6. Thank you so much for the laughs.

GinCA

Ok, maybe the Patio Crowd wasn't as homocidal about Leo as I was. Sorry.

GinCA

My nurse Kelli's daughter Sami (I'm pretty sure that they both dot the is with little ♡s) works for a fashion company named Sherri Hill (I'm guessing more little ♡s). Last week she was in Cancun for a fashion show and sent back photos. It reminded me of AV and Sami is every bit as pretty as Nikki but was never selfish and obnoxious like Nikki could be at times.

Sami is the one on the left.

Carlos

Congrats to Nurse Kelli's daughter, Sami. She could be in telenovelas easily. She would fit right in with all the Mexican blondes. I guess she would have to learn Spanglish, a la Tracy.

Of the three she is decidedly the loveliest--and you can tell her mother I said so.

GinCa--Oh we were all for Leo going SPLAT, flattened by an anvil or one of Emilia's cast iron skillets.

Unfortunately it was Cris that went splat, but Leo got his--it just took him longer to expire. I'm glad he knew he'd bought the ranchito, baby lamb and all, as he went.

Most of us didn't even feel sorry for his mamma.

Dear Anita..Thanks for the lovely trip down memory lane. I miss AV and all the colorful characters...especially two of my telenovios, Big Ed and M. Cordoba. I also miss Vikki's beautiful clothes. I loved her style even though I love capris and she never wore them. (Cynderella explained the reason. Thanks, Cyn !!!!).

Thank you for gathering all those comments once again Anita!

I had alot of fun with AV once Kary Fajer stepped down writing the story and Ximena Suárez came in her place. It was nice seeing Erika Buenfil once again and Natalia Esperón since it had been a while that I remembered both in roles of any importance and I liked that EY and EB got to be the sizzling couple there.

I miss the AV crowd. I'm currently only half watching Mentir Para Vivir and sometimes De que Te Quiero, Te Quiero. I do watch once every couple of weeks a few minutes of Corazón Indomable to see how the adaptation goes and laugh at the crazyness. I can't figure out that telenovela, I think every character is insane.

Jarocha

LOL! Jarocha, that's what we think about CI too. It's scary, but not surprising, to know that the madness only continues as the story progresses.

Oh, cool! I pop in, to see how the tortilla turns in telenovelaland, and here we have the final installment of El Clamor Publico - AV edition!

If Bezos acquires ECP, and I buy merchandise from Neta-Mart with my Amazon VISA, then I'd earn triple points! A double-winner. WooHoooooo!!!

Anita - Thank you for this final edition of ECP-AV. What a labor and clearly a labor of love. What fun to read, again, the snarky funny comments of my fellow Caraymates.

AV was one of the best telenovelas I've watched in years. I'm still going thru withdrawals and am currently telenovela-free. AV has spoiled me. ;o) Hopefully something will come along that will hold my interest. Soon.

Doris--In your haste to get to the good stuff, you overlooked that this is the Next-to-Last edition. We have yet to post Our Carlos' final words.

Vivi: The first episode of CI I saw complete is yet to air in the US. I saw it because I remembered that scene from Marimar and I wanted to see how they'd do it in that version. So, I guess you still have many crazy things to see.

Jarocha

Anita - Yay! More ECP-AV edition to come! I read it in a hurry out the door this morning, so missed that this is the next-to-the-last one. :o)

I will have to check in frequently, then.

Hi, I miss everybody. I was surprised to see this and I thought I got the old blog of AV but no the date was right.
Boo hoo. I really miss my Amores Verdaderos. Since I like Nikki and her isms, I have her on facebook, appearing so beautiful as ever. I was shocked to by those roadkill furs!!! I wondered whether they were "fotitos" from Mexico. I fear for her, for here in Los Angeles, take care, no one wears animal furs here!!! Watch out from the ever vigilant Animal rights movement. I am not familiar with Mexican laws though.
In the mornings I watch Entre Amor y Odio and I recognized the protagonist as the young Bea of AV- Susana Gonzalez. I like her blond and she was really beautiful on her wedding day with Cesar Evore who was equally handsome. It was a beautiful scene when they stared at each other. Love it.
And lastly. I too didn't think I would like La Tempestad but I do. It's kind of growing on me.

Vida2--
Hold onto your blue & white striped capris, Nikki's isms will be appearing in the last edition.

I had waited and waited for El Clamor Publico #5 but was beginning
to think that the presses had gone silent. Then on Sunday 8/25 it appeared. However, as luck would have it, I didn't have time to read
it. Today, another weekend is here and it comes with time to spare.

I had smile after smile reading through the happenings of the past.
I must say though that even now, weeks later, I get a little choked
up over Cris. Her life was both very happy and very sad. Was it fate? I guess that we will never know but things had to turn out the way they did in order to complete what had started with JA and Vikki.

I could write comment after comment
for most all of Amores Verdaderos cast but that would turn out to be boring for you guys, so I will just close with a BIG thank you Anita and a warm feeling for Lili and Roy.
the gringo
