La Tempestad Cap #52. October 8th 2013. Love Making At The Cabin Of Love
Wow wow wow! What a DamHot scene.
Working on the recap. I'm still fanning myself from that hot (although edited) scene at the cabin. Sigh. Recap will be up once I'm done fanning myself and writing it up. Feel free to start discussing it if you are like me and live on East Coast and have the seen episode already.
Laz and JazLu have set the date for their upcoming nuptials. ShutUpRosy thinks the kids are going too fast. Laz doesn't agree. JazLu and him will start living together and they want to get married as soon as possible to do things right. Robles, in his homeless disguise, begs for money. Laz approaches him. ShutUpRosy takes this opportunity to stick it to JazLu that she may not be able to wear white at the wedding. SHUT UP ROSY. Meanwhile, Robles tells Laz that his men have not been able to find out the location of the new camp where the merchandise is unloaded. Laz is sure one of Fully's lackeys knows the info. Robles agrees. He tells Laz that they'll go after the lackeys one by one until they find out what they want to know. They'll first go after Dumber err Lara.
Hernan and Fully send Lara on the mission to sneak into the packing plant without the alarm going off and sabotage the freezers.
Olinto and employees are off to the Singles Mingle (thanks Susanlynn). Olinto activates the alarm but unfortunately it is too late because Lara the LowLife is already inside. He heads off to the motor room and sabotages the motor to the freezer.
DamFineInWhite (thanks Gloria) stands at the door of Madrina's dark room.
DamFab meets up with Marina in the living room. He wanted to pick her up at her place. But Marina didn't want anyone seeing them leaving. She doesn't want the townspeople to start gossiping again. DamFab tells her the townspeople won't gossip anymore because everyone respects her now. And besides he's there to please her. Marina is happy to hear this because even though she loves DamFab with all her strength she won't allow him to stop DamSpoiling her. It'd be DamFab's DamPleasure because he'd do anything to see a smile on Marina's face. Marina is ready to go on their weekend getaway. She said her goodbyes to Mom and she has what is most important - the love she feels for DamFab in her heart. They are leaving and DamSoFineInWhite bends down for a moment and we get a new angle of the white pants. The lovebirds are off on their DamWeekendGetaway.
Let's go to that Singles Mingle....
Jose comments on how good Rebeca looks in Jarocha attire. Bea's also in Jarocha attire. She'll be attending the Singles Mingle too. Bea is sure they'll have a blast. She says they'll dedicate their happiness to Madre Eusebia who for sure is having a better time up in heaven. Jose and Rebeca walk out of the house arm to arm.
Fully the lucky son of a gun is back at home. Ursula comes into the room in her Jarocha attire. She's off to the Singles Mingle. Delfina tells her to have fun. Ursula leaves. Delfina realizes Ursula forgot to bring a glass with the jar of water she brought Fully. Delfina is about to go get one when Fully tells her that he wants to speak to her.
At the Singles Mingle, there is dancing and we see shots of some delicious looking food. Jose, Rebeca, and Bea arrive. Padre approaches them. He hopes they have fun. Bea congratulates him on a job well done on the Singles Mingle. Jose says Padre is always so respectful of the town's traditions. Padre wants the townspeople to have fun in a healthy way and enjoy the cheerful music they have in town. Bea wants to speak to Padre. Padre and Bea agree to talk later. Hopefully, Padre can talk some sense into her about not meddling in Marina's love life anymore like he did or at least tried to do with ShutUpRosy.
Mexico City
Magda wants to know how come Ernie called her Marina and accused her of having sent him to the slammer. Mercedes doesn't want to talk about Ernie. Magda thinks Ernie is her daddy. Eww as if, says Mercedes. Ok, those weren't her exact words but judging from Mercedes facial expression it is what she wanted to say. Anyway, what Mercedes really tells Magda is that Ernie is NOT her daddy. Magda thinks Mercedes hasn't told her who her daddy was because she was a single mother. Mercedes accepts she was a single mother and Magda takes this to mean that she's a bastarda. Mercedes asks her to please not say that again. She tells Magda that she was a child desired by her parents and that her daddy was a good man who died. Magda throws in Mercedes' face that while Mercedes says to have morals she was a woman who had a child out of wedlock. Mercedes tells Magda that they need time to examine their lives and asks her to please not be so hard on her. Magda goes off to get ready for work.

This is just a friendly kiss, everyone! Got that.
Henan arrives at the Singles Mingle. He greets Ursula with a kiss on lips. Why didn't Bea or anyone for that matter witness this kiss? Anyway, Hernan looks around. Ursula realizes he's looking for Marina. Ursula tells Hernan that Marina is most likely not there because she's probably consoling DamFab. Ruh roh! Hernan whines about Marina having broken his heart. Blah blah blah. Ursula tells Hernan that he'll have to forget Marina. It is a love that has caused him suffering. Hernan wishes he could but he can't. Ursula tells it like it is - Hernan doesn't love Marina. It is Hernan's pride that has been hurt by Marina preferring a simple fishermen and not him. He may be a simple fisherman by he's a DamFineOne, Ursula. Hernan and Ursula go to sit down. Ursula waves at Rebeca and Candy. Hernan notices that Ursula and Rebeca are BFF's. Ursula admits that she can't stand Rebeca. She has made Rebeca and Candy believe they are her BFF's to use them. Hernan laughs. They both have realized just how much they truly deserve each other.

Let's confirm that no one will separate us, mi amor!
DamFab and Marina arrive at The Cabin of Love. They comment on what a beautiful place it is. DamFab comments on them being all alone in the middle of nowhere. DamHorny jokes around about him being able to do things to Marina without anyone hearing. They both laugh and kiss. Marina wants more time to get to know each other more. Yada yada yada. DamFab likes the idea but he also wants to confirm one more time that NO ONE will ever separate them. They kiss.
Mexico CIty
Magda thinks back to the ErnieEncounter. She wonders how come the old goat called her Marina. She goes into the storage room to investigate. She opens up the chest and takes out the toy model of La Tempestad.
R-Laydee
Delfina thinks it is impossible for Eusebia to have given Fully the stinkeye at her wake. Fully is sure of what he saw. Delfina will go get Padre. Delfina thinks Fully needs an exorcism err needs to have a talk with Padre. Fully doesn't want to talk to Padre.
Mexico City
Magda wonders if she had a brother. She puts back the toy model of La Tempestad and finds the matching pink sweater.
The Cabin of Love
Our two lovebirds are enjoying a peacful night sitting by a fireplace and enjoying a glass of wine while talking about their childhood. DamFab tells Marina how his father and Eusebia raised him after his mother died until his father also died. Marina comments on how both DamFab and she grew up without their fathers. Michel was DamFab's life. Whenever DamFab has a dilemna he asks himself what would his father do and that is how he makes his decision on what to do. Marina doesn't have any doubt that Michel was a good man. He knew how to educate DamFab and made him the DamFineMan he is. DamFab and Marina tell each other how much they admire each other. Marina tells DamFab that she confirms what Eusebia once told her - that they are two souls that are destined to be together no matter what tests they'll go through.
Mexico CIty
Mercedes thinks about the loss she had in the stockmarket and comments on almost being ruined. Magda comes in holding the matching pink sweater and demands to know more about her past. Magda holds up the matching pink sweater for Mercedes to see and demands to know if she has a sister. Mercedes tells Magda that yes she has a sister.
R-Laydee
More dancing at the Singles Mingle. The dance floor is opened. Couples go out to dance. Oso asks Bea to dance. Bea doesn't want to at first but Oso ends up convicing her to dance with him.
Oh he's going to burn in the fire of hell alright! No doubt about that.
Padre visits Fully. Poor deluded Padre believes if Fully's soul is bothering him it must be because Fully feels remorse for his actions. Fully, as expected, feels no remorse. He's damn happy (not to be confused with DamHappy) with his actions. In fact, if he were born again he'd do it all over again. Padre tells Fully that he knows him and knows that Fully's soul is tormented with sin. Fully says that Padre doesn't know him. Padre knows him damn well (again not to be confused with DamWell) and knows about all the crap that Fully has done like not acknowledging Laz as his son and having been hard on Esthercita. Fully kicks Padre out. Is it sacrilegious to a kick a priest out of your home? Whatever the answer is we know Fully is doomed to burn in the fires of hell. Padre will leave but before he does he tells Fully that it won't be the last time they'll talk. Sooner or later all of Fully's faults will come out in the open so Fully's soul can have peace. Padre will be there when that happens to hear him out. Padre blesses him and leaves and Fully makes this silly childish face at him.

More dancing at the Singles Mingle. Bea and Olinto are crowned king and queen of the Singles Mingle. Wow! Who would of thought Bea and Olinto would be crowned king and queen?? And frankly, who cares?? Get back to the DamPassionateLoveScene.

Magda wants to know where her sis is. Did Mercedes throw her out on the streets like she did with her? Mercedes tells Magda that she's talked to her with the truth. She asks Magda to please soften up a bit with her. Mercedes tells Magda that she had to give Marina away because of the situation she found herself in. She had nothing to offer Marina and she feared the same man who took her would take Marina too. Magda is hard on Mercedes and throws in Mercedes face what a horrible mother she was. Why did you have daughters if you were going to trash them? Mercedes tells Magda that she does not understand. Magda says she understands alright - she and her sis bothered Mercedes so she got rid of them. Magda gives Mercedes the final blow by telling her that she does not understand why God gives children to women like her. She leaves and Mercedes cries.

They cut the love scene again. Damn you Uni (not to be confused with our beloved DamFab). Won't say more because I could on and on about Uni cutting the love scene. We might as well enjoy what we did get to see which was still DamHot.
Our two lovebirds are happily [and dare I say it DamSatifised] laying down by the fireplace after having made DamPassionateLove. Marina is pressed up against DamFab's chiseled chest and in his manly muscular arms. He loves her. She loves him more. No, he loves her more. She kisses his DamShirtlessChest and he kisses her on the forehead. Marina tells him that she has always wanted to be like this with him. He has always wanted to be like this with her too. There is nothing more that makes him more happy than to be by her side. She wants to be with him forever. They kiss some more. Marina says nothing can compare to how huge his umm err their love is. More kissing.
Mexico City
Mercedes is at her night club and isn't in the mood to put on her happy face and go out on stage and greet her guests. But as they say the show must go on. Hector, the club manager comes in. Mercedes tells him that she's been nervous lately and she hopes he comprehends if she has been rather brusque with him lately. Hector says no need to explain. Mercedes thanks him. She asks him how things are going at the club. Better then ever, says Hector. Joshu has come to sing at the club again.
Ernesto thinks back to his encounter with Mercedes and Magda at the restaurant. He deduces that Marina and Magda are Mercedes' daughters. It shouldn't have taken him that long to figure this out me thinks. He will give his final blow to Mercedes by going after Magda and Marina. Oy vey!
Joshu sings.
Oh this has got to be mine!
Magda agrees to watch after the guest's coats while the employee in charge goes on a pee break. Magda spots a fancy coat she likes and tries it on. She's really loving the fancy coat and I mean really loving it. Hector catches her.

Hey, remember our first DamEncounter...how could anyone forget the view Marina got during their first DamEncounter?
DamShirtless and Marina are still by the fireplace and enjoying another glass of wine. Marina is wearing DamFab's shirt and DamFab has put on some pants. They take a stroll down memory lane remembering their first DamEncounter. They recall how DamFab gave Marina a DamSwimmingLesson by tossing her overboard. DamFab comments on how beautiful she looked coming out of the water. They laugh. DamFab tells Marina that although he never told her he felt bad for how he behaved with her that day. Marina admits that she acted a little rude with him that day. DamFab repeats in a jokingly way her words to him about she being the boss. She jokes around about having learned how to swim when he tossed her overboard. They kiss some more.
R-Laydee
Bea says her goodbyes to Hernan. He asks where Marina is. Rebeca tells Hernan that Marina is on a DamWeekendGetaway with DamFab. Hernan is impactado.
The Cabin of Love
Marina tells DamFab that she is afraid of waking up from this dream and not having him by her side. She's afraid that something might happen to him or that something might separate them again. He tells her to never be afraid and assures her that she'll never lose him. They kiss some more.
R-Laydee
Bea tells Hernan she feels bad because of what happened between him and Marina. Blah blah blah. Hernan tells her not to worry about it. It is not Bea's fault that Marina broke up her engagement with him. Bea and Rebeca leave. Ursula sticks it to Hernan that Marina didn't give a crap about breaking off their engagement since she went away with DamFab. Hernan says DamFab and Marina won't be happy for long. If Marina isn't happy with him then she won't be happy with anyone. ShutupHernan.

Marina and DamFab talk about the stars. He tells her that the star that has given more sense to his life is her. More lovey dovey talk. More kissing. Marina feels DamComplete with him. She feels they are the DamSamePerson. He feels the same. He tells her that it isn't necessary to promise her the moon and the starts. It is enough to be under them. It is what makes this moment magical - being with her. More kissing.
Mexico City
Mercedes scolds Magda for stealing the coat. She forbids her to ever take something that does not belong to her. Mercedes asks Magda to get back to work. Magda is pissed but does as told. Mercedes tells Hector about her troubles with Magda. He's sure that she will make her a good woman. She suggests she go out and sing. Mercedes is in no mood. She wants to go home. Hector leaves to get the chauffeur. Mercedes wonders when the time will come when Magda and she can live like mother and daughter with no problems. Me thinks probably Ultimas Semanas but I hope it will be sooner.
The next day:
Robles in his homeless guy disguise sees Lara leaving the packing plant. Lara had to spend the night there. Robles wonders what Lara is up to.

Hey mi amor, what if we share that chocolate bar? Ok, mi amor.
Marina hopes DamFab loved the breakfast she made him. He loves everything she does. They go off to begin their day. DamFab cuts some firewood as Marina watches. DamFab flaunts the strength his manly muscular arms have as he cuts the firewood. DamFab and Marina take a stroll in the market. They buy some fruit and he buys Marina a necklace. They walk around town a little and literally yes literally share a chocolate bar. Hot stuff. Oh and they kissed some more during those scenes.
R-Laydee
Laz visits Fully to see how he's doing after the heart attack. Fully says he's fine, not DamFine of course. Fully doesn't know what Laz is doing there since they don't have a good relationship. Laz agrees. Laz has not forgotten that Fully knows who his daddy is and that he does not want to tell him. Laz is grateful to Fully because thanks to him he was able to get out of the orginization and free JazLu. Fully tells Laz that he can see that he knows how to be grateful. Laz came to see if Fully needs something. Fully asks if he'd do anything he asked him too. Laz says yeah well it depends. Fully wants Laz to kill DamFab.
Avances: DamFab and Marina enjoy their love some more; Hernan shows up at The Cabin of Love; DamFab wants to kill Hernan (take a number bro).

Has anyone notice a lead in scene they play over and over around commercials where Marina, dressed to kill, walks up to Hernan at his house and kisses him? It could be a scene where he is dreaming; but now I am wondering if it is actually going to be Magdalena?

Those white dresses with the aprons...hmmm. Ursullied looked wrong it that costume. She should never wear white, and I am pretty sure it was the first apron she ever wore.
Mag has the mean girl look down. The heavy makeup with cherry lips is making her look tough and jaded as she has a right to be after the life she has been forced to survive. I hope that she has a happy ending, and I think that she will.

Fully cracked me up with his refusing to confess. I bet the Padre already knows all his sins and then some. He's just waiting for Fully to speak them out loud. I wonder how many times they had to shoot that scene with CE, cause he had that twinkle in his eye and I bet he was laughing like crazy. I hope they have bloopers of this TN when it's done : )
I second the darn Uni scissors. Ya know on PEAM they showed Jessie's butt but for this they scissored it. How bad could it have been? They are ridiculous with the scissors. The scenes were all DamHot though. I am really liking DamHot and Marina together, don't like the fact that Herny shows up! I wonder who tells him where they are?
I am so liking the Commandante! He is right on the job and I like how he keeps catching them doing the crimes. I can't wait until the Commandante "comes back to life" and busts them all. Especially Pervy Ernie and Herny!

I must say my favorite parts from the episode aside from the love scene were DamFab cutting up that firewood. It really looked to me like he was flaunting off the strength his manly muscular arms have. Also loved the scene with DamFab and Marina sharing that DamChocolateBar. I've heard about sharing gum but never about sharing a chocolate bar like that. it was hot stuff. I'm surprised the chocolate bar did not melt.
Enjoyed the scenes at the Singles Mingle. I did enjoy Bea getting her groove on with both Oso and Olinto. I wonder if this was foreshadowing a Bea pairing with one of them. If it was hopefully it'll be with Olinto.

Mads -- Did they blur out the butt cleavage on PEAM? I honestly don't get Uni's scissors. I was surprised though that they showed the unzipping of Marina's dress.

I know that other people may see the Veracruz tradition scenes as so much filler, but me, I eat them up. That is one of the things I adore about a Mejía novela, the celebration of place. You did justice to them. Great job.
Will the writers tell us what happened to Mags after she was taken from her mother? Has she never experienced any kindness at all in her life? Any nurturing? Do we really think she'll surive the novela? I have my doubts...

Saw the complete love scene on YouTube. Quality of the video is bad but it is better than what Uni showed. The scene was DamHot. But yes the skin was covered and they didn't show anything naughty.

Susanlynn - you got that right on the Mags "mean girl look." I've been thinking the same thing, and that's why I'm liking XN in this tn, her maiden voyage. I like her as Mar too; so sweet.

Susanlynn and Shallowgal - Magda does have a mean girl look. She's quite the thief, isn't she? She had no problem taking that coat for herself. Thank goodness Mercedes found out and scolded her about it. I sure hope Magda doesn't go over to the dark side. She deserves to be happy after all she has been through.
It was kinda cute when Mags tried on the coat, and she was like a little girl relishing it.

Cap'n Sylvia -- I had to capture Fully's mocking face at Padre. It was a freeze frame moment. I couldn't quite tell though if Padre saw it or if he had left when Fully made it. Poor deluded Padre. He still has hope for Fully but we all know he's a lost cause.

I am back and just finished catching up with the recaps. I feel like watching the show isn't complete without the recaps. Thanks Mauricio for the recap and the much needed pictures. I hope I wasn't the only one who paused certain scenes. I heard the Mexican viewing is in its ultimas semanas.

I guess the big shock for me was the Olinto and Bea match-up. Mash-up. Wow.

I know Mejia is not known for cinema verite but a person could not survive the backstory they have given to Magda without LOTS of problems. I am shocked that the character does not have AIDS, for example. Let's face it, the lovely Mags has real problems. She now has Ernesto as a declared enemyand he is one scary dude. She could team up with Hernan-the-scorned to destroy Marina. She could embezzle from her Mom and go to jail...Ah the possibilities for her downfall are numerous. The possibility of happiness? I see that as much less likely.
Besides, how would Mejia film a 'Parent Trap' at the inevitable Boda?

Just back from work, and I love the screen caps. The woodchopping one looks like DamFit is demonstrating how to do a proper jumping jack .

I am back from the Holy Land and the first capitulo I am able to watch throws me back into His Hotness magic.
The way he flashes a brief smile before he goes for a killer kiss, his boyish charm and the demigod's body, oh MAN!
I too think that Mags is more alive and believable than the PrissyMissy Marina. The actress's rigidity and inflexibility matches Mags's stone cold, heavy energy exceptionally well.
