PEAM# 148- 10/3/13- Tracy Rodriguez, The Cougar Arrives on Take Your Baby Robot to Work Day.
Labels: Manda
Is she that professional (desperate), representing the ''internacional headquarters'' in NY?
I am sure they sent her because she was the youngest one, the one that didn't need a walker!!
I am starting to like this TN again!
Tracey, here I go! Fasten your seatbelts!
Oh, and don't even get me started with jesús' fleshtoned stockings that improve his blood circulation!
I pictured Tracy to be much younger but I was wrong.
I was surprised that Jesus even wore socks.
To each its own, but to me this issue is ridiculous. She is way older than I expected, she is completely out of any etiquette throwing her underwear (as we say in México) to Jesús. I am ashamed of her behavior and I don't work for Avon nor I am a woman. She should give herself some respect. There's a place and a time for everything and she missed them.
If I were Mr Wilson and I were not dealing with Dennis the menace, I would say:
Tracey, you're fired!
Octavio (the monkey): please stop it with the bong, this TN has less and less sense every day, thanks!
We last saw T-Rod as the very formal/uptight aunt of the heroine in Dinero. This is a very different role.
Pablo, I think you have called it right with the changuillo. Now, that he is back home on the rancho it will probably just get worse. LOL
I liked that Alma is learning how to embroider.
Jesus did a good imitation of Rogelio.
Jarifal
Thanks so much for this fab recap! I really loved your little asides and the title, how fab!
I have to say I really enjoyed this epi. Tracy turned out to be a hoot, doesn't want to deal with Rogue. I liked the footsie thingy the best.
The headphones on the baby bump was quite cute liked Alma talking to the baby too.
Don't get me started on Moronica and know Pato knows all about the preggers Moronica. If Rogue really wants Pato back, he needs to atone. I think he really will care about his child, but never Moronica. Moronica thinks she has him at her feet, but she better think again.
Poor Marcia. I knew it wouldn't take long for Marta to start acting all BSC. The deal with Marta and Marcia was that Marta would come back daily to see her. I think now Marcia knows she made a mistake. I wonder how Marcia will get out of this.
I really liked T-Rod in DA. She played the horrid Isa's Mama. This role is quite different for her. I too saw her in Dinero. I think she ought to stick to comedy, she is really funny : )
Cheryl, I am speechless at your incredible photo. Best of luck at the juried show. I can't imagine such an amazing photo not being accepted. Oh, and great recap too.
Julie, loved your recap and one of the cleverest titles ever!
Pablo, as usual you had me laughing out loud. You have such an original mind. Thank you for recapping this show that annoys you.
Miss JudyB, I am honored that you would put me in the same guy-phrase category as Pablo. Someone once told me I talked like a sailor. Imagine my shock.
Tablet Jefa, who says you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear? Silly episode, hilarious recap. Way to go.
I think it's a scream when Jesus apes Rogue. He's actually a very good mimic.
I hate the idea of the Tracey plot -- but I love what she is doing with it. Funny how our tastes differ. Dinero was one of my favorites ever -- though it took me a while to get used to the cartoonish characters. I enjoyed this actress then and I like her in this one.
The plot that is driving me crazy is the robot baby thing. It was really inane. I certainly hope that when Xochi dropped the robot it didn't confirm her suspicions that she has no maternal instincts. Fern was cute with the fake baby -- even if I think the plot is stooopid.
Yes I love it when Jésus mimics Rogue.
Güera
I was okay with the robot baby, but not Jess et al going crazy thinking Xochi had given birth overnight. There are many reasonable explanations for someone suddenly having a baby in the house, and some of them might even be funny; but "oh I guess they had a baby all of a sudden" is not among them. Sheesh!
On the other hand, I can't stand the Tracey subplot. I think the actress is doing a great job, but I'm tired of watching this guy fend off horny women.
I did laugh at something last night, though. I just can't remember what it was. I think it was actually something Chatita said or did. ("In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king." That wasn't the one that made me laugh, but it was a well-chosen quote!)
Hey! Ric is rich. How about that?? Maybe Mari will get her rich guy after all. If her mom is still alive and is the gold-digger that's been implied, maybe this will bring her out of the woodwork!
Guera agree-baby plot is stupid and just another of the monkey band's idea of throwing in something silly. Don't like it.
As for Tracy, this is the best they could come up with for a new plot? Been there, done that and done that and done that. Can we just park the "every woman wants Chucho" plot lines. We got it.
Vero must absolutely salivate when she hears the word "wedding". Her favorite place to make an a** of herself and ruin everyone's day. Poor Jess and Card. They don't deserve this.
Daisynjay
I forgot that there is a missing and long lost mother in this show. Didja notice how flustered Tracey got when she displayed knowledge of the city and someone called her on it. "Oh, you are acquinted with NuevaLeon?: She got a deer in the headlights look, answered yes quickly and changed the subject.
Could she be more important to the plot than we realized? Not (sigh, yawn) just another woman who wants to jump Jésus (admittedly stellar) bones.
Of course I'm prone to speculating about upcoming plots points which never pan out. So maybe I'm all mojada.
Güera
You weren't wrong. It was Chucho that remarked if she knew Monterrey, and she got the deer in the headlights look. It was too funny. The only missing Mama is *gasp* Maricela's. Could you picture Panfilo and Tracy????? We'll have to see!
I've been waiting all this time for Mari's mom to show up, and when a likely candidate finally shows up, all I can do is complain that I'm sick of the horny lady subplot! LOL!!
Nice to know the writers can still sneak a really good surprise past us once in a while!
Tracey in her younger days: Norma Lazareno
Case rests.
Speaking of Xochi's Dad again, remember that promo they did of the trenchcoat, well they still haven't shown who was in that coat so to speak. I wonder if that little promo was out of sync like they did with UFCS. They were famous for doing that with that TN.
Thanks for the links. Wow, Antonio Medellin what a hottie! And Norma, she could really dance and so beautiful. I can see it too ; )
That would be too perfect if Tracey is Mari's mother. Maybe back when she was with Panfilo, she was a secretaria, then she left for a rich guy and worked or canoodled her way up the corporate ladder?
I always roll my eyes when telenovela businesspeople feel like they have to go along with TOTALLY inappropriate behavior to keep their bosses happy. What if the boss is testing you to see how you deal with tricky situations? Maybe they want to see if you can firmly shut something like that down without being rude or whatever. What boss wants a wimpy doormat representing his or her company? You want someone who can be gracious yet assertive!
I did actually find Tracey pretty funny. It would have been a total yawn if she was yet another hot young thing, but since she's much older (yet still attractive), it's somehow funnier to watch Chucho try to fend her off. I hope it doesn't go on too long, though.
The baby thing seems like total filler. These fools can't think of any other explanation for Fernando to be dealing with a baby other than that skinny tiny Xochi, who never had a boyfriend until just recently, was somehow secretly pregnant? I'm sure Aida would have been smarter, but she's just barely met these people and had no more information than what the ditzes told her.
Just caught snippets last night—I’ve been busy nearly every evening this week, so haven’t had an opportunity to watch any eps.
If they can introduce a new character (even if it is only temporary) this late in the game, they can introduce a better man for Pato.
Wow!! (as Vale would say). Ricardo inherited a fortune.
I’m looking forward to seeing Jesus’ imitation of Rogelio.
Julie: “I'm tired of watching this guy fend off horny women.”—amen!!!
Tracey as Mari’s mama???? Interesting.
OT: Is anyone watching Corazon en Condominium on Azteca? Flaco has been watching and I caught a bit of it last night. I might make that one my next one (even though I’ll have a 7 week overlap with PEAM-ugh!).
Nanette
I have to say I would probably be just like Tracy if I ran into guapísimo FC.
People en Español's poll voted FC as best protagonista 40%. Even though I love him, this isn't his best genre & I voted for Rafael Amaya, El señor de los cielos. People love their FC.
I just wish they would pair down this novela a bit. Love my FC though.
Did I say I love FC?
