Corazon Indomable, #126, 11/05/13 Kidnapping #3 in 3...2...1... Oh, wait, what's this story about an Angel de la Muerte?

Beware: nothing that happens this episode makes any sense, from a legal perspective, or any other perspective you might think of.
Also, I appologize in advance for grammar mistakes or sentences that are not tied together, making a sense of this madness is harder than pulling teeth without anesthesia.

Dead to Viewerville Tav has decided: his daughter will not grow up with a mother like Maricruz Olivarez. HE says so, this is how it’s going to be.
Migreedy congratulates him on this awesome decision and hopes that he now feels ashamed for whatever feelings he might have had for MC in the past.
Dead to Viewerville Tav apologizes (!!!) for what he made Migreedy go through, Migreedy is just happy to be able to help his bro get rid of that woman. How sweet, unconditional brotherly love - Blech!
After Migreedy leaves, we see that MC is not as dead to Tav as Tav is to Viewerville. He remembers his talk with JA, about how MC will use Alvaro the same way she used them both.
Dead to Viewerville Tav thought MC really loved him, in her own savage way, but that was not true. He can’t allow his daughter to be with her, he’ll fight, no matter what it takes, he can’t be an irresponsible and a coward. (Excuse me while I go throw up).

Juanita doesn’t understand why Dead to Viewerville Tav took Lupita, if he was the one who decided to give her up on the first place.
Santa realizes Lupita was stolen right from under their noses, maybe the accomplice was in the house. Maybe it was JustAbominable JA! Bingo! She’s not sure, though, and Juanita better not repeat this. Yes, keep the secret, you wouldn’t want to hurt an innocent man, right? Ugh…

Nilda is all set to leave, empty handed, like she first arrived, even if she has to go back to poverty, because she has dreams of her girl every night and she can't take it anymore. Well, then, Abelardo is going with her.

Alvaro is asking MC to rest, she hasn’t slept at all. Padre thinks they should make a complaint to the police, the justice has to handle this, be the one to decide when MC will see her girl.
But MC doesn’t only want to see her, she wants to have her back and she can’t wait any longer. Alvaro thinks Tav won’t hurt his daughter, he only wants to hurt MC. Padre asks her to have faith. But MC is a rebelde, so she can’t wait months for the bureaucratic actions to take place, she’ll go find Tav now.
She also begs Alvaro to help her and he promises he will.
Padre doesn’t think this incident (INCIDENT!!!) will affect Lupita on the long run, she’s too young to remember.
"Ni con su muerte paga todo lo que me hecho sufrir" – MC proclaims and I hope she remembers this for the Finale in a month or so.

Migreedy is trying to give JustAtrocious JA money for Lupita’s care. Also, he warns him again not to say to anyone where she is; instead he needs to go to MC’s ranch, snoop around some more.
Talking to himself, Migreedy decides  JA is too smart for his own good. Kill him, then, and maybe a stray bullet hits you in that awful smirk of yours, too, it would save us all a lot of trouble.

Esther doesn’t think JA should go to see MC, though, they would start to suspect him. How could he go so far this time?
But JA has a solution to win MC over – he’ll give her Lupita back. (Will the kidnapping madness ever end?)

Simona in feeling bad, she overslept because of some pills she's taking. She chats with Ofelia about Tav and his daughter – how good that Lupita is not at the house. This situation will break up Tav and MC forever, they won’t even be together after her death and she still plans more pain for MC before that happens. Simona loves the fact that Tav is suffering, too – she knows he only took Lupita because he’s jealous.
She feels a lot of rabia y dolor (rage and pain) for her unfortunate destiny. Who did she hurt to deserve this? (how about all the hurt she plans to do??) She doesn’t want to die, she wants to see her son grow up, but she’s damned because of MC (!!) – if only she’d die before.
And so starts the crazy talk: Simona thinks Angel de la Muerte (The Angel of Death) should take MC before her.

Scared, Ofelia runs to tell Tav to go see Simona, because she’s going cuckoo.
Very calmly, Simona tells Tav she thinks it’s a good idea if MC dies before her, she’ll talk with Angel de la Muerte to fall in love with MC and take her away.
Tav has his usual dumbfounded expression, only this time with good reason: he tries to calm her, she gets even more disturbed, crazy eyes included and Tav looks shocked. I’m laughing my butt off.

JA came to find MC, but she's gone. Santa thinks he knew about the kidnapping because he works at Simona’s ranch. Then she confronts him about being in the house last night.
JA denies any involvement, he only came to tell MC that he’s there to help, no matter what, he can even steal the baby back from Tav.

Dead to Viewerville Tav tells Migreedy that something’s wrong with Simona.
"Se murio ya?" (Is she finally dead?) He asks, hope sparkling in his eyes.  LOL
No, she’s losing her mind, Tav explains.
Migreedy is so happy, he looks like he’s about to piss his pants – they could lock her up, better for her to die then go crazy in front of their eyes.
Tav asks Migreedy to go talk to her.
Simona is not used to a life like this, Tav is sorry he met her and ruined her life. You needed to be rich, that’s why you met her, Migreedy quickly explains. Even No Cells No Neurons No Synapse Tav realizes this is a crappy thing to say.

MC managed to get a court order from a judge, but she doubts that Tav will take it into consideration. Apparently Alvaro took the judge out of bed to sign the document. Padre thinks Alvaro is the man to make her happy, protect her. MC wonders…
Padre feels like chatting, but she asks him to go to the ranch, deliver the court order as fast as possible (because this is part of his priestly duties, apparently). Padre asks her to calm down, the document says Tav has to give her Lupita back until a custody decision is made; also, she should get married fast – she’ll be seen as more respectable in front of the court. Sadly, this is true, the only sane think Padre Julian says throughout the episode.
Santa comes with the message from JA. Padre doesn’t agree with kidnapping numero tres, though, he thinks they should try the legal course of action first. (Oh, I’m so going to enjoy it when they chase him out of Simona’s ranch).

Migreedy goes to Simona’s room and she welcomes him from having returned from visiting Lucia. Migreedy plays along, asks her to rest, but she doesn’t want to sit on her bed, the Angel of Death sleeps there.Okey...
Also, she asks him to give Lucia a message: she won’t visit her just yet.
Migreedy leaves her alone, to her demented illusions, thinking to himself that she’s completely loca. Can't argue with that.

Abelardo is in a hurry to put his affairs in order, so he can leave with his wife.
He thinks that she should have told him the truth, he was already a ruin when they met, she couldn’t have helped him. But she’s a mother, willing to sacrifice herself. (Really? ‘ause I’m not impressed by the sacrifice)
They bond, he remembers how he once loved someone for real, the best woman, the sweetest – his mom. WE DON’T CARE.
He gets very emotional, grabs his left arm, I think he’s suffering a heart attack. Still don’t care.

Ofelia is crying because Simona went crazy.
Dead to Viewerville Tav wants Simona to see their baby, see how she reacts.
He wonders if she is like this because of him. (What do you think?) He’s afraid of the punishment that awaits him for making her hurt so much.
He shows Simona their child, she doesn’t recognize him, she can’t even remember they are married.
Simona thinks the baby is MC’s and Tav is her fiancé. She tries to hurt the baby.
Dead to Viewerville Tav tries to calm her down; and while his crazy wife crashes in his arms, shaking and speaking nonsense, what do you think is going through his head? "Cada dia ay mas abismo entre MC y io." (Every day, there is more abyss between MC and me.)

MC is afraid the court order won't be enough to convince Tav to give her Lupita back. Santa advices her to leave the ranch, when she gets the girl back.
MC won’t leave until they’re dragged out, though… Ugh…  Tav is jealous, that’s why he’s doing this. If only she could have the patience not to do something rash.
If only I'D have the patience not to throw something at my screen.

Padre has arrive at Simona's Ranch and is stopped by a guard, who tells him Tav is not there.
Migreedy receives Padre, tells him Tav is away. Padre thinks Tav might have Lupita at the ranch, like the first time he took her. Even if he’s the father, he has no right to take her without the mom’s permission.
Simona comes in and thinks Padre is the Angel Negro de la Muerte. She wants HIM to take MC, because she's not coming.
Padre (the Angel for Simona) tells her he came for Tav.
Hmm, Simona ponders, maybe a little trip in Hell will do him good.  LOOOL, funniest moment of the night - who would have thought Crazy Simona would be so entertaining!

JA is telling Esther that he’ll give Lupita back to MC when he feels like it. Esther is afraid of the consequences.

Alvaro is telling Valdez that he won’t accept the company’s request to leave. He knows he’ll have problems because of it, he’ll probably even lose his job, but he doesn’t care.
He asks Valdez to tell the company he won’t abandon this place and will continue fighting them.

Padre goes back to MC, tells her he couldn’t find Tav, Migreedy assured him he’s gone. Well, if Migreedy sais so...
But MC knows this is a lie and she wants to go to the ranch.

Preview:
A bunch of scenes of stuff that we’ve already seen this episode: Simona is crazy, MC FINALLY asks the police to retrieve Lupita from Tav using the court order, JA promises to get Lupita back in 3 days.

The end credits roll and they piss me off so much, because the scenes show MC and Not Yet Dead to Viewerville Tav when they were happy, smiling, kissing – these two actors have some of the best chemistry I’ve seen in recent tns, this is such a waste! They deserve the chance to shine together in another tns, but like a real couple, not the travesty we get to see now.

Loved "dead to viewerville Tav", "just atrocious JA" , "just abominable Tav" and your recap. Thanks. I also really loved Maricruz's dress with the lace trimmed jacket. Anything else, not so much.

Jarifa

Great stuff Adriana, and I couldn't agree with you more. I just couldn't keep watching this last night. But I love the recaps, and want to support our wonderful crew that is devotedly sticking to their daily postings. What would we do without you all??

I don't have the best language skills, and I keep thinking I'm not getting things right because...well...they couldn't possibly be saying what I'm thinking they are saying. This had to be downright painful for the actors to have to say these lines every day. I'm sure there was a lot of "it's a pay check, it's a pay check" going thru their minds. And the Isla group is dancing with glee because they got out while the gettin' was good.

If this really was the "real" world, I would vote for a Brigadoon scenario with this area and make them all disappear to only materialize every 100 years for one day. Keep anymore unsuspecting new folks from wandering in and have their lives turned upside down. Poor Alvaro....

Daisynjay

Should have been " just abominable JA"

Jarifa

Thanks, Adriana for this wonderful, entertaining recap of a mostly estupido episode.

However, I LOVED Crazy Simona! What a hoot! She was the best part of the evening, along with her new buddy, the Angel of Death.

Miguel grows more disgusting all the time. He needs to be squished. What happened to Nazario and his revenge?

Where were the wardrobe folks? Noticed Simona had several changes of clothes, JA as well. MC is still wearing the same outfit as she wore to the wedding . Haven't a day or two passed since the kidnapping? Is she too distraught to change? Has she run out of new outfits? I am confused.

Adriana Noel:

Thanks so very much for giving us this fantastic recap, loved all your asides, and sitting through this dreck!

La Paloma:

I too wonder what happened to Nazario and his revenge. I hope that is still on. Migreedy needs to suffer.

Isn't it funny how Migreedy seems to have forgotten what it is like when you cross MC, hmmmmm....something to ponder, if the writers are up to it, I'm not holding out much hope.

DEADTOME Tav is a real idiot, not only with MC but with Sickmona. Why isn't he taking her to the Doc? Can he be anymore stupid! He has no brain cells left. He is on autopilot.

I really hope once MC hopefully gets Lupita back she runs with her and never looks back. She should listen to Santa for once. Otherwise, no brain will constantly try to take her away.

One thing about this TN that really bugs me is they treat women like dumb, brainless beings. MC used to be so strong and stood her ground. Now she is a sniveling mess that needs some man to "protect her", Really???? I wish they had kept her strong to fight the good fight. I still can't get over the fact that she seems to have lost her bidness sense once she left Isla Dorada. She knew Carola was stealing from her Daddy, but she can't see JA stealing from her, que, que, what?????

I too can't wait for this one to be over.

"Even No Cells No Neurons No Synapse Tav realizes this is a crappy thing to say. "

Well, it was an endless string of crappy things to say last night, including the Padre's stupid assertion that little Lupita would be fine apart from her mommy and living with strangers and besides "wouldn't remember anything". Ye gods!

And was delighted with all your names for JA but especially "Just atrocious". Perfect.

Like you, like Mads, like all our recappers, I can't wait for this mess to be over. What a waste of a beautiful location and beautiful actors. Ah well...we're still learning Spanish, aren't we?

Thanks for an enjoyable read--ITA with the gritching asides!

"making a sense of this madness is harder than pulling teeth without anesthesia" --ITSA

Loved your riffs on Jose Antonio! LOL: "JustAbominable JA!", "JustAtrocious JA" and ditto for DTV Tav!

Re: MicGreedy- "(Is she finally dead?) He asks, hope sparkling in his eyes."

=============

Octavio's brain and little bit of common sense have turned to mush. I am waiting for Ester to finally have enough of her cheating, thieving, kidnapping husband and turn him in! GRRRRR!

La Paloma: This is only the second time I've seen this actress and she played a homicidal nutcase in that one (Bajo la Misma Piel) also. This was an interesting twist I hadn't expected.

===
JudyB: Triple dittos with the commentario!

Adriana, I feel your pain and everyone else's. This show is getting very hard to recap with all the crazy changes, odd conversations, and make no sense plots. When I recap, I have to play the scene over and over just to see if I got it right, and that's very time consuming.

The Navario line is finished because he blackmailed Miguel into giving him money for writing a letter that said that his brother was a bad guy, etc. And I guess in Mexico the judge will accept that as proof that Miguel didn't do it, lol.

Madelaine, I hate it too when they have the woman needs a man to protect her crapola.

Why couldn't MC come with Morales like she did the first time to get Lupita? That time it worked, but this time she's not even considering asking him to help?
If I had a nickel for all the inconsistencies in this show ...

Thanks Adriana, This is hilarious. I actually enjoyed this episode. So many things to like.

Simona stole the show.

I thought there'd be a bit of annoyance here with the Padre for telling Maricruz that it would help her custody case if she'd hurry up and get married to Alvaro.

As much as I'm enjoying Simona, I'm also fascinated with Abelardo and his fond memories of his mom.

Carlos

Carlos, there is so much sexism in this novela that this marriage suggestion doesn't really stand out . It seems the padre "means well" in a 1930 ish sort of way.

Jarifa

Jarifa:

I think the Padre is thinking in terms of 1830's. Even in the 1930's it wasn't that bad ; )

@Adriana - thanks for taking one for the team. I know how especially painful it is for you.

@Madeleine - I so agree with your comment that "One thing about this TN that really bugs me is they treat women like dumb, brainless beings. MC used to be so strong and stood her ground. Now she is a sniveling mess that needs some man to "protect her".

If I may point out, dumbing down the women in this tn was all Carlos Romero's doing. MC's character did not totally lose her brains in the La Venganza and Marimar versions. Nor did the Oblivio character sink to the low-point of kidnapping his own child - TWICE. That was all Romero's "original" contribution to C.I. - that and most of the ridiculous stuff coming up next.

@cathyx - Remember Pacino in Godfather, Part III - "Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in." I'm not spoiling anything, since others have already said it - some characters viewerville thought were gone for good will be returning.

Get ready for those anvils!!!

The idiot ponders about what his punishment will be for making Simona "suffer" so much, yet doesn't even have an inkling of how much he's made MariCruz suffer.

I wish MariCruz would have gone to the ranch with the padre and taken the monkey with her. She could've tossed him at Miguel's smirky mug while she ran into the house yelling for Octavio. THAT would've brought everyone out, including La Loca and El Menso ... would've loved to have seen everyone running around like maniacs trying to catch the little creature.

I'm barely paying attention these days this has become so unbelievable. Sickmona is definitely headed for oblivion now.

I think all the children should end up with CPS at this stage.

Thank you Adriana---Great recap, loved your JA JustAtrocious it fits him.

I decided to get in the mood for a GREAT SHOW last night so I got some onions and jalapeno's out, sliced them up and sautéed them. My wife unwrapped a tamale and brought out the refried beans, add some salsa de molcajete roja and I was in a great Mexican mood.
Corazon Indomable, here I come. I wasn't disappointed.---Sorry Carlos, I didn't need any aguardiente. Actually, I didn't even know what it was, I had to look it up. I'm not too much into the spirits. I mean , I'm happy with my own spirit, I don't need the extra ones. Besides, I wanted to be fully awake at 7:00 the start of the show.

Vida2---I'm glad you didn't jump ship. Oh! Sorry, the ship/boat is in La Tempestad. Well anyway, I'm glad that you are still onboard, I
sure am.

Sweet brotherly love, or is it sweet brotherly greed? Oh Miguel,
there's an anvil waiting for you.

$imona feeling rage and pain---I think that she will be feeling more pain than rage when that tumor starts growing. I do think that she stole the show last night
BSC $imona how fitting. She does need that eyeliner though.

Madelaine---Tav is on autopilot. LOL So funny. I hope he doesn't fly again---one brain cell flying a plane?

La Paloma---Right, where is Nazario? Did he give up on his plan once he got paid off?

Jardinera654---When will Ester have enough? I've been thinking the same thing. I'm so angry that Jack Ass got away with stealing Mari's money. And now he's involved in the Kidnapping.

Madelaine---Maricruz knew that Carola was stealing from the casino but JA was a childhood friend. Mari just can't believe that JA would steal from her.

Ok---now for Daisynjay. Yes I'm sure that the actors are soooooo
sad and disappointed that they signed the contract to be part of this #1 novela. They had no other choices, no other offers. There was absolutely nothing they could do. It was either take this or starve. So, they had to take it and now their #1 status is soooooo
disappointing to them. Besides, they were all so stupid that none of them even read the script before they signed the contract--
so how were they supposed to know
how bad it is?

So Jack Ass thinks that he can make some big points with Maricruz
by bringing "Untamed" back. Maybe this will be the big break he needs to win Maricruz. Right?
Must see TV tonight.
the gringo

,

Work and life have kept me away from the blog the last few days. I'm just catching up on the recaps, but thank you recappers SO much for all the wonderful recaps so far this week!

Reading the CI recaps makes me certain I would want to poke my own eyes out if I were watching.

This is real curiosity. I'm not being facetious. Someone who is really enjoying this show (who is not Gringo*), what is it that you enjoy about it? I'm hoping that I can be inspired to start watching this again in the last month.

*Sorry Gringo. I know Ana Brenda is a goddess and all, but that's not enough reason to draw me in each night.

Vivi,

"Someone who is really enjoying this show..."

Can't quite commit to that, but Simona's Mad Woman of Chaillot
antics and Abelardo's and Nilda's intimate conversations are a real hoot to watch. After all these years Nilda finally is hearing the call of the blood and the only love Abelardo ever experienced was with his mom.

What's scary for me (and maybe it's a result of sipping aguardiente from the bottle through a straw) it's all beginning to make a sort of an insane sense.

Carlos

Reading the comments, it seems that the only reason to watch is to see $imona going BSC. Perhaps I'll tune in tonight.

I am going to give the writers some credit and assume that the reason $imona had such a personality transplant in the first place is because of the brain tumor. Unfortunately, that excuse doesn't hold for Migreedy's personality transplant, or JackAss's. Nor does it account for Tav's constant flip flopping; MC's declining IQ; or Santa (who stood up to her boss crazy Luciafer and spoke her mind) all of a sudden deciding silence is the best policy.

Anonymous...I like your idea of Mari taking the monkey with her to retrieve Lupita. No one deserves a visit from the monkey more than MiGreedy. Well, I'd also like to see the monkey on top of JackAss's hat. Can you imagine $imona's reaction to the monkey ? MYbe she would mistake him for a furry Angel of death. We have much better ideas for the plot than the writers. Hey, maybe these scripts are now being generated by a robot. that might account for the lack of logic, humor, or common sense.

Vivi---It's not just Ana Brenda.
Actually I like the whole cast, there all doing a great job. The location is fantastic as well as the rancho's. Also I like the story. Ok, the writing is not so good but the basic premise is. People go through life and make mistakes along the way as have Maricruz and Tav. I don't think that Tav would nearly be in the bad shape that he is in if he wasn't so easily manipulated. He's
not a bad guy deep down inside, he's just easily used by others. And Mari, she just can't get past her love for him. I'm sure that she will forgive him in the end but it's exciting to think what's in store for our now unhappy couple.
How will they get back together, how will it all end? The question is exciting. And oh yes, the acting is superb from all cast members even though their lines make them a little unbelievable at times. However for me, I don't understand Spanish so that doesn't bother me as much as people that can understand what is being said. I'll say it again,
the story is good, the writing could improve a little but even with bad writing there are several pluses to offset that.
With the shows #1 ranking, I guess that I am not the only one in it's corner.
the gringo

Gringo- Thanks for the thoughtful response.

Like you, I am a romantic, and so I wish the writers would actually give us the two leads being loving with each other. That would make it much easier to root for them to be together in the end. I would definitely tune in to see MC and Tav canoodling, kissing and being in love with each other. Even sharing some wistful love-filled glances (like in Refugio) would be nice. Unfortunately, they have not given us this, and all of a sudden showing them getting married in the last or second to last episode won't do it for me.

I agree that many of these actors are good (not all), but once again wasted opportunity by not giving some of their greatest actors in the cast much to do (bad writing aside).

As for Tav...there are mistakes, and then there are MISTAKES. Calling the woman you "love" a whore and stealing her child (multiple times), on top of all the past MISTAKES he made which he should have learned from, is beyond the pale. This guy will never learn. He is weak, dumb, and lacks personality. But, he does have great hair. I'll give him that. Maybe he and MC could make their fortunes back by becoming hair models and shampoo spokespeople?

Perhaps my Spanish is just too good? Maybe I should watch with the sound off and just guess what people are saying. My guesses are bound to make more sense than what the characters are actually saying.

Vivi - my friends and I (along with our husbands) do just that. We actually just started this week and only did it a couple of times. All six of us get our snacks, put up our feet, and we draw names (Octavio, Simona, Miguel, JA, etc) until all the characters are taken. Then we watch with the sound off and whoever is Simona, say, will adlib her lines when she comes on screen, etc. We get into some pretty good shouting matches - all in character, of course. It is hilarious, although we do wind up with a lot of "no puede ser" and "que haces aqui" - not to mention venganza, venganza, venganza! But it's a lot of fun. Then a couple of us read the recaps the next day and laugh at how close we get to the real dialogue. We don't get together every day, of course, but when we do, we go crazy.

OMG! That is a GREAT idea. I love it. Now, I need to invite some amigos over...

I don't know why, but I only now got to read all your hilarious comments from yesterday.
So here goes:

Anon 05:33 - you had the best idea, I'd totally do this, if I had someone around me who watched tns; you know what, I'd totally fly to the US to do this with some of you, I think we would die laughing

Vivi - this is my biggest pet peeve about CI, too, we get two very good protas, great chemistry, good looking actors and they do nothing but biker and throw hateful things at one another for 150 episodes... where is the fun in that???
Watching solely for Simona's crazy is not worth it, but I do have to admit that I was laughing out loud when she thought Padre Julian was the angel of death who was coming to take Tav with him - that was a priceless piece of comedy done right, although I have a feeling teh writers didn't intend for it to be so funny

Gringo, your devotion is admirable and the fact that you don't understand Spanish very well sure help - normally that's the reason I watch tns, too, to see how against all odds, the protas end up together, but this particular couple is just not root worthy for me anymore.
I agree that sweetly brotherly greed works os much better than love!

Carlos, I found the Abelardo stuff boring, mainly because we are at episode 120+, and new characters never cease to appear while we have no clue whatever happened with the likes of Carlota, Raiza, Tony, etc...

Madeleine, you are right about MC being a shell of her former self - she keeps threatening that she'll turn into a salvaje if this or that doesn't happen, but what exactly is she waiting for to start doing her stuff - see Lupita kidnapped the THIRD time???

Cathy, going back to listen to some of the nonsense to try to make it work somehow is what bothers me so much, too... Tns dialogue is already filled with clishes, but CI is going above and beyond the call of duty.

Adrian, as always, thank you.
Great to see you back,
Vivi, I thought you too abandoned the ship.

Gringo, I will never abandon ship. I am always for the "downtrodden", the poor and the mistreated and etc. I may be so angry but I have my binkie with me. I still hope for happiness for our heroine.

Oh, and lastly, So Simona, "Meet Joe Black"!!
Wouldn't it be a hoot if Brad Pitt could appear on this show?

Where did the a go? I meant Adriana not Adrian. So sorry.
