Mentir Para Vivir #74 Tue 1/21/14 You've Been Boinking the Biggest Skank in Town and You Didn't Even Catch a Computer Virus From Her?

Santa Dominga:  Oriana hears the door creek open and quickly turns off the bedside lamp.  Her head hits the pillow and she pretends to be comatose.  It seems that Jose Luis has been drinking tequila, slurping oysters and listening to Barry White songs all evening.  He is now in the mood for a night of love.  He’s knows that she’s not sleeping; he saw the light go out and he will not be swayed.  Suddenly, the falcon swoops!  Somehow, Oriana finds the strength to fight him off.  Confused, he mentally reviews the effectiveness of his mating technique.  He’s got a Richard.  Check.  He’s aroused.  Check.  Why isn’t she?  It’s a mystery.  He smells his armpits.  It must be his deodorant.  He’s irresistible; he’s certain of it.  Next, he resorts to begging.  I’m horny and little Jose Luis needs your help, he says.  He shoots puppy dog eyes at her.  Oriana springs from the bed and pulls a white silk robe over her Victoria Secret lingerie that scarcely covers her heaving pale bosoms.  She says that she's getting the heck out of Dodge City and heading back to her grandmother’s house.  The fox springs up and drags her back to the bed to be ravaged! Just when looks like he is about to take her by force, he stops when she declares that she will hate him forever!  Her words immediately deflate little Jose Luis, ummmm his ego.  After dismounting from her, he goes to her purse, removes her identification and leaves.  Shaken and crying, she lies sprawled in bed.  A little while later, he returns in a sarcastic mood.  He's looking for his medication.  Oriana, is still lounging in bed wearing man tempting Victoria Secret wings.  He finds it and leaves her alone for the night.

Casa de Homero:  Homero tells Ricky that Oriana might have to work undercover (little does he know how correct he is) for several months or several years.  The phone rings.  Mike tells Homero that the love birds are in Santo Domingo visiting Joaquin, but they will be returning home tomorrow.  Nothing incriminating was found in the safe.  Homero tells Ricky about a video tape that Jose Luis made as life insurance against Joaquin.  Ricky is thrilled!  If they find that DVD, then Oriana is off the hook, right?  Homero says no, Oriana is working for the Feds and she has to produce some sort of evidence against the mob.  Otherwise, she will lose her immunity against prosecution.  Homero thinks that Raquel might have the DVD or it might be hidden in a bank safe deposit box or somewhere in Rhodalina’s bedroom.

Child Psychiatrist Office:  The next morning, Ricky visits the school shrink seeking help for Jose Luis’ bad seed.  To mark the occasion, he has decided to wear a purple ascot that closely matches the Hello Kitty/Barbie Townhouse décor of the office.  The doctor says that it’s too soon for her to have a valid opinion of Rhodalina’s diagnosis.  She has recently become aware from her brother, Tito’s vet, that Ricky is the richest man in town.  She would like to treat Rhodalina in her private practice and plans to take full financial advantage of the Breton financial status and has already contacted a realtor to scout out some prime properties for her summer home.  Rhodalina will require hours and hours of sessions at the maximum rate allowable by the court.  Anyways, from what the doctor can tell, Rhodalina is a brilliant little girl.  Ricky wants to know if Rhodalina has been sad and nervous at school.  The doctor says Rhodalina’s reactions seem normal, but she will definitely require more lucrative sessions.  Yes, she takes Black AMEX.

Back in Santo Domingo, Oriana has been awake all night vigilantly guarding her virtue.  For some odd reason, she has failed to change out of her Frederick’s of Hollywood silk robe.  Oriana is still sitting in bed looking quite fetching when her horny husband enters the room carrying his brief case and planner.  Jose Luis apologizes for his distasteful behavior.  She runs into the bathroom and turns on the shower.  This makes sense because it’s always wise for a terrified victim to run into a room with one door and remove her clothes when there’s a horny rapist outside.  Jose Luis puts down his brief case and planner and limps over to the bathroom door.  He stands outside and assures her that he has taken all of his medication.  When he doesn’t get a response from her; he leaves.  She appears again, still wearing her Victoria Secret Angels costume (she only was pretending to take a shower) and rifles through the planner that he had placed on the dresser.  The bedroom door opens.  She throws the planner back down on the bed and runs back into the bathroom.  Jose Luis doesn’t remember that he had put the planner down on the dresser.  He yells at her not to take too long.  They are waiting.

Fabiola comes bouncing down the stairs and jumps into Piero’s waiting arms.  He swings her around in a circle like they are actors in a telenovela or something.  Her baby will be fine.

Lucina and Ricky are gossiping about Raquel like two old bitties.  Yes, Lucina tells him.  It’s true that Raquel is Jose Luis’ lover.  She doesn’t care that he’s in the mob.  He gives her cash, cars, jewelry and rents an awesome apartment for her.  Jose Luis is a good sugar daddy to her, unlike another cheap, ascot-wearin’, metrosexual millionaire pretty-boy that she boinked a couple of months ago…ahem.  Lucina doesn’t mention any names or anything, but he gets the point.  Ricky brings up the identity theft thing.  There might be a way for all of them to save themselves.  He wants to know if Raquel has the DVD.  Lucina doesn’t think so.  If Raquel has the DVD, she’s already watched it and will use it as leverage to get more of what she wants from Jose Luis.

Ruben and Cesar are meeting for drinks at an outdoor café.  Ruben looks worried and comes right to the point.  He asks Cesar if he had sex with Raquel.  Yes, several times and she makes me feel so dirty!  Ruben informs Cesar that Raquel also had sex with Sabastian.  Ruben advises Cesar to get himself to get tested for everything including the common cold virus right away!  Cesar thinks that God is punishing him for having sex with Raquel when he was thinking of being a priest.  Raquel is the only woman that Cesar has ever boinked.  Ruben thinks that God is punishing him for mooching off of Paloma and neglecting his children.  They comfort one another.    Ruben tells Cesar that he loves him and promises not to tell Matilde that about this.

The Falcons have arrived home.  Oriana is ignoring her husband.  He apologizes again and she says that she wants to see her grandmother ‘cuz she’s dying of cabin fever.  Jose Luis wants her on lock down.  He’s afraid that she will see Pretty Ricky.  Yeah, you’re damn skippy that I will see him.  He’s got my kid!  Jose Luis asks for Fedelia’s phone number so that he can call his daughter.  Marilu answers the phone and gives it to Fedelia.  When Rhodalina hears that her father is on the phone, she freaks out and both she and Tito run screaming out of the room.  Jose Luis is certain that they have poisoned Rhodalina against him.  She can’t still be mad about him punting her pooch.  Fedelia tells him that she is not going to make the girl talk to him if she doesn’t want to do so.  She tells him to call the judge if he has any other questions.  Oriana tells Jose Luis to try to see things from Rhodalina’s point of view.  She’s a six year old who has lost everything and Tito is her anchor and Jose Luis is her monster.

Paloma tells Matilde that she will kick her out if she keeps picking on Fabs.  Fabiola and Piero return.  Fabiola shares her news about the baby!  Matilde asks Fabs when she’s getting married.  Paloma immediately instructs Nadia to pack Matilde’s bags and tell Jorge to drop her off where she wants to go.

Aresti Breton:  Ricky is working! Yes, I’m talking about Pretty Ricky!  Yes, the guy with the ascots!  He’s in the Aresti-Breton building and he’s just sat down at his desk.  Piero enters Ricky’s office and they discuss the Cotton Pickin’ Union and Cotton Pickin' Weavers.  They also need to hire a new bookkeeper; the new one that they hired doesn’t know the ropes yet.  After working all of thirty seconds, Ricky rushes home.   Marilu calls to inform him that Rhodalina’s father messed up her equilibrium.  Trust fund baby steps people!  Remember, trust fund baby steps!  We can’t expect much from him.  When he enters Rhodalina’s bedroom, she jumps into his arms.  She afraid that her father will kidnap her just like the villain kidnapped the little girl in Paloma’s fairy tale.  She wants him to punch her daddy in the nose.  He assures her that there are a lot of people there to protect her.  After she calms down, Fedelia and Ricky go into the living room.  Fedelia wants to know why Ricky just can’t be happy boinking Marilu.  She’s pretty, she’s young, she’s fertile and she’d be more than willing to mate with him and bear his children.  Why is he attracted to toxic relationships with high-maintenance women?  First he brought home a nut job, epileptic nympho with a child that wasn’t his and now he’s brought home a mob wife with a bi-polar psycho for a husband with a child that isn’t his.  Marilu is a normal non-delinquent who loves him…why not her?  Ricky says that he’s sticking with Oriana.  Fedelia wants to know what Ricky will do if Oriana chooses Jose Luis?

Oriana tells Jose Luis that she is going to visit her grandmother.  Jose Luis says, hell no.  Mike offers to escort her there and promises not to stop the car if he sees Ricky’s car there.   Mike also says that he will not let Ricky on the property if he should come over while she’s there.  Jose Luis agrees.  She thanks Mike for his help.  Mike tells her that he has been undercover for 4 years and he hasn’t learned anything about the Caribbean Investment Company.

Casa Bonita:  Raquel looks at her pee stick and freaks.  She is sooooooo knocked up!  Who’s the daddy?  Sebastian?  No, too long ago.  Cesar?  Could be!  Jose Luis?  Also a possibility.  She prays to God that it’s Jose Luis.

Casa de Falcon:  Jose Luis places his planner in the safe and locks it.  Antonio and Jose Luis discuss criminal enterprise business over drinks.  They will withdraw their money from Trejo Bonfill in the morning and give the employees a severance package.  Antonio says it will be difficult because Don Alfredo has to sign the check.  Jose Luis tells Antonio to get the don drunk and then make him sign the check.  Jose Luis asks about Sabastian.  Antonio says that no one has seen or heard from him ever since he was shanked.  Jose Luis wants to know if anyone else knows the true nature of their business.  Antonio says Sebastian and another name.  Raquel calls Jose Luis and tells him that she’s got great news.  She wants to meet with him today!  He says that he’s busy, but agrees after she throws a hormonal hissy fit.  Jose Luis hangs up and tells Antonio to seduce Raquel and get her out of his hair.

Aresti Courtyard:  Leonardo has come to flirt with Fabiola and invite her to his art show.  Fabiola tells him that she’s got AIDS.  He says that he already knows because the doctor told Piero, Piero told Ricky, Ricky told EVERYONE else and his grandfather told him.  Leonardo gallantly kisses her hand.  She tells him that she doesn’t deserve a boyfriend and asks him to forget about her.  He tries to get a smoochie poo, but she turns her head.  Outside, Oriana tells Mike to keep his mouth shut about what he sees at Paloma’s house.  He keeps watch as she goes in.  Fabiola is thrilled to see Oriana and shares the news that her baby, the spawn of Sabastian, will not be affected by the HIV virus.  Leonardo gives Oriana an invitation to his art show.  Oriana asks Leonardo to tell Homero that she needs to meet with him.  Leonardo leaves.

The two women go inside to see Paloma; Matilde has barricaded herself in her bedroom.  Fabiola asks Paloma to allow her mother to stay.  After Fabs leaves, Oriana tells Paloma that Jose Luis was in the mood for love last night and tried to take it.  Paloma thinks that eventually, he will.  Oriana tells Paloma not to tell Ricky that Jose Luis dared to try to have sex with his wife while she was lying in bed she wearing a Victoria Secret Angel costume.  Paloma agrees.  Their conversation is interrupted by Nadia who has come to announce a visit from Ricky.  Ricky greets his honey bunny with a tearful kiss and a big hug.  Paloma gives the two some privacy.  Leaving Little Ricky alone in a room with Oriana and a bed may not be the best idea.  Ricky is very experienced and efficient lover who can get a lot accomplished with minimal amount of effort.  Uh Oh, the sexy time music is starting!  Here comes the slurping sounds.  He should have her stripped naked and sexually violated with a quickness!  Help me!

Oh my gosh, it’s a Christmas miracle!  No, it’s my birthday!  They’re not going to have sex!  In the next scene, with Ricky sitting quietly next to her, Oriana calls Homero and lets him know that she’s back in town.  She tells him that she’s tired and would like to meet with him.  Homero tells her to hang in there.  Ricky asks to speak with him.  He tells Homero that they can meet at the church.  After hanging up with Homero, Oriana tells Ricky that she wants to see Rhodalina.  Ricky tells her that Rhodalina was traumatized after Jose Luis called her.  Oriana knows about the call because she was standing next to him when he called.  Ricky is going to ask the judge to restrain Jose Luis from contacting or seeing Rhodalina.  Oriana thinks that Jose Luis will freak.  Ricky asks when they will see each other again.  She doesn’t know.  She gives him a hug.

Ricky is visiting Mariano at the school/church/whatever.  He asks him for a favor.

Casa de Falcon:  Oriana has returned home to find Jose Luis enjoying cocktail hour all alone.  She tells him that he needs to go to AA because his kid is afraid of him.  He grabs her and accuses her of seeing his arch enemy, Pretty Ricky!  Oriana tells him that she will admit to everything and he will go to jail.  Jose Luis doesn’t care as long as it will prevent her from seeing Pretty Ricky.  Oriana storms off.  Jose Luis calls Mike and the Matias, the butler.  Mike will drive him around today and Matias’ job is to forcibly prevent Oriana from leaving the house.

Judges Office:  Ricky visits the judge and snitches that Jose Luis’ phone call freaked Rhodalina out.  He wants the judge to block Jose Luis from seeing his kid.  The judge agrees, but says that Jose Luis can appeal.

Hospital Lobby:  Cesar has received his test results in record time!  He’s has not been exposed to HIV.  The father and son embrace and praise God!  Ruben wants to know how Cesar avoided catching AIDS or even a youtube viral video after being with a skank like Raquel.  It’s another Christmas miracle, says Cesar!  Another possibility is that Raquel is not infected.

Casa de Raquel:  Jose Luis has stopped by to visit the deceased cesspool.  He tells her that they are pulling out of the Cheap Woven Blankets that Are Sold to Stupid American Tourists Business (I'm not bitter) and getting into luxury real estate.  He tells Raquel to sell her share of the Casa Bonita Brothel.  She is the new President of the his real estate company.  She tells him that she is soooo knocked up and he’s father of Raquelmary’s baby!  He looks shocked.

Tune in for tomorrow Paquita’s epic episode!  It’s the clash of the bad seeds!  Raquelmary’s Baby meets the Spawn of Sebastian meets Rhoda Penmark!

Haha! Great title, Cyn. Looking forward to the recap.

In the meantime, in light of how most of us never want Fabi to get back together with that jerk Sebass, I thought I'd share this video of the actors who play Fabi and Sebas from a quinceanera expo photo shoot. These dresses are really elaborate! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MfX1RHe1Zzc

Thanks for the link Vivi. It's fun seeing the actors in this photo shoot and all smiles.

In light of Cynderella's title, and don't get me wrong I'm glad Cesar doesn't have HIV, it still seems like Fabi got a really bad anvil in this. Sometimes it does appear tns punish women more than they do men.

So do we think Raquel doesn't have the virus or Cesar is lucky? She is playing a dangerous game with her health and others. And don't even get me started on trying to pass the baby off as JL's. I think Kat said this, Raquel is pushing the fine line of being indispensable and completely dispensable.

I've read up on this stuff and the infection rate is more efficient male-to-female than female-to-male. This should not, however, give men a false sense of security.

It's up. It's long as hell, but it's up!

Cyndy, hilarious as usual. I'm glad you were not subject to the slurping.

I Lol'ed deeply at the JL Oriana seductionot scene. I'm catching up on the eps and will get to this one soon enough. Thanks again for making this enjoyable TN extra special.

Oh geez, Cynderella, you were on fire tonight. Thank you! Still laughing.

Thanks, Cyn.

Karen-I agree with you. I still feel like the HIV storyline is coming off as punishment especially towards females. I'm glad Cesar was clean.

Sara, I kind of like the HUB story line. In their way, the writers are telling us the truth. Sleeping around can get you killed. The show shows that a man can get it. The young can get it. The rich can get it. You can get it from your first lover. You can be the type that doesn't know who gave it to you. Good people can it. Bad people can get it. It also shows how you should protect you. It shows girls that some men really don't care about them. I think this is a positive message to girls. I'm weird I know.

Hiv not Hub

Cyn- I agree with you. Seb was a slut and a jerk and he got it (and epilepsy to boot). Fabi was a virginal innocent (and ignorant) and she got it from her first boyfriend. A guy and a girl. All bases covered.

As for Cesar, the writer shows a ruthless woman who doesn't care about him. Lucina had to tell his father. Raquel might have the disease, but she hasn't even bothered to go get checked out. She continues to sleep with a married man who MIGHT be sleeping with his wife. She doesn't know whose baby she's baking. Caesar's potential kid could be in grave danger. If it is his kid, she doesn't want him to be the father. In my opinion he's got problems, but from a different point of view. He finds out that the girl that he's doing is doing everybody else.

I should add-- a girl, a guy, and innocent, a slut. That covers all the bases. I appreciate that the slut wasn't the girl. I think it's a better message to send to girls that you don't have to be a slut for something like this to happen to you. No matter what, whether it's your first time or your hundreth time, you need to make sure you're protected.

Writing in to Co sign what Vivi and Cyndy said. The HIV situation is pretty realistic and shows it as not a poor person or slutty person disease-an innocent who was monagamous, but her partner wasn't; a jerk who's young and was sleeping around without protecting himself. A grown woman and ex-prostitute who should know better-Raquel, who is only using condoms with JL because he insisted-and Cesar who was a weak, foolish innocent.

In most developing countries and the US it would be the Fabiolas getting infected because of their innocence and lack of education about the disease and inability to demand condom usage. So, I like the message. Fabi was too scared and compelled to have sex with Sebastian while Raquel was strong enough in her sexuality to tell Sebastian if he didn't have a condom she wasn't sleeping with him a second time since she didn't want to get oregnant by anyone but JL. She also didn't sleep with Antonio.

I didn't say I didn't like the story line. I just hate that Fabi got HIV. Everyone is different and I can't help how I feel. Sorry. I'll shut up about it.

It's a very realisitic storyline. In this case I don't like the realism. (As opposed to the PSMA realism.)

Cyn- Hilarious recap. Thank you for making that tense bedroom scene between JL and Ori funny. What was he thinking?!

If Mike hasn't been able to get anything concrete on these guys in FOUR years, just what makes Homero think that Ori can do any better? If I were her, I'd be starting to think this whole thing was hopeless.

I pity Raqui's baby. Good grief! What a mother. If the baby is Cesar's, I can see him jumping right into being a daddy (even a single dad), and Ruben would love another grandchild. But I think JL is going to want Raqui to march to the nearest abortion clinic. I guess we'll see his reaction next episode.

Cynderella - Totally hilarious. The seducionot scene [thanks, J desde NYC!] was too funny -- Barry White, the Falcon, and all.

Raquel is in deep denial to not get tested even for her baby's sake. I figured she had sex that last time with Cesar to get pregnant by him and pass the baby off as JL's since JL kept using condoms. But it seems she was just horny and is now worried about a paternity test. Raquel is more messed up than I thought. Who will wind up raising this baby? I vote for Lucina.

So Ricky is going to have the judge prevent JL from even phoning his daughter. I think that's harsh. Plus, why anger JL even more while Ori is still cooped up in the house with him?

Loved the dress Ori wore when they returned from DR.

Sara, we were not attacking your opinion. Everyone's opinion is valid. Please don't "shut up". I was just giving you reasons for my opinion. Does that make sense?

Niecie, I was thinking the same thing. To me it is crazy not to let him call his daughter. He can't establish a relationship with her or even apologize to her if he has no contact with her. I don't think that's fair. Yes, I know that he is a VERY bad man, but no one has been able to legally prove it yet.

Vivi, 4 years? Yeah, a trained professional can't infiltrate the mob, but a housewife can? Whatever!

Sara- Ditto what Cyn said. I feel terribly for Fabi too. But unlike most times, I don't think these writers are punishing women more than men, like tns writers usually do. I think they're being pretty even handed and honest with this storyline, and I really hope the young women and young men watching it were able to learn something from it.

Cyn- Unless Homero thought that Ori could use her "charms" to get what Mike couldn't?

I have a problem with the story line. EVERYONE knows about the money laundering operation, right? Joaquin, Jose Luis and Antonio know that the feds are on to them, right? Why would they continue to do business in THAT town? In my opinion, Joaquin should have killed Jose Luis by now for messing with his money. Even drug dealers leave the corner when they see a cop. Am I wrong? Maybe the mob doesn't know the feds are on to them?

Sara, please keep on commenting. I so feel you on the realism being a bit much at times but I'm glad TN writers are giving us a lot of realism than in the past since viewers have asked for it.

One of the things I love about tns in my year of watching consistently is that they are in so many ways coming-of-age stories for the galan as much as for the prota and they aren t as saccharine as people would think. The situations the cast go through force them to grow up or face their karmageddon.

PSMA's realism is cringeworthy at times, especially the relationship between the leads and Ara. I watch it, but I want to slap 3/4s of the cast.

Cyndy,

I don't think Joaquin barragan knows the feds are into them-they know Homero is sniffing around, but since he's retired they don't fear him. But JL should've been killed already. However in an EP last week JL told jaoquin he can't kill him because if he does he has a tape detailing all of Joaquin 's dirty dealings to send to Homero if any thing happens to him.

Homero has not let on to JL that he knows what he's up to and who he wroks for. They have kept up the fiction that he's just a friend of the family. Plus, he's retired, so they think he's out of the game. Joaquin finds JL useful because he can move in educated circles, and he wants to get that video before he bumps JL off. Once he has the video, or assurance that it doesn't exist, he'll order Mike to kill him.

Thanks for the recap Cynderella! I enjoyed your snark. And ITA w/you on the Oriana as spy plot. This is really the weak link in the story. Though the possibility of sex, she can get what Mike never could? Yeah, No.

In addition to possibly having Raquel go get an abortion, JL is also setting her up. He's going to make her the president of the new fake/money laundering company and she just smiles. Truly if she lives to the end of this tn it will be a miracle.

On Fabi, as I've said earlier, while this is realistic, she got a lot of mess dumped on her plate: an abusive mother, non-existent father, abusive boyfriend, pregnancy and now HIV. And she's just 18.

Karen- Thanks for bringing up the fact the JL is setting Raqui up. When she smiled and accepted the presidency, I yelled out, IDIOT! And here she is cursing Ori for possibly being a cause for her to go to prison over the fake passports, while she's happily placing herself in the wolf's (or fox's) mouth.

Fabi has indeed been through the wringer. But I noticed this episode how much stronger she is getting. Doing what she needs to do for her baby, being firm with her pretendientes about her intentions to NOT move quickly into a relationship, and letting her mother's mean comments roll off her back with a smile. She has come a long way.

Thanks Cyndi. As always you nailed it. So many great lines, so little space to list. So, I'll limit it to just 3 of my favorites:
1) it’s always wise for a terrified victim to run into a room with one door and remove her clothes when there’s a horny rapist outside.

2) Lucina and Ricky are gossiping about Raquel like two old bitties.

3) After working all of thirty seconds, Ricky rushes home.

I also enjoyed how humorously you described the Victoria Secret and Frederick's of Hollywood likeness of Oriana's "tease wear" err, I meant to say "sleep wear".

Loved the HIV commentary also. Although I'm happy that Caesar didn't get it, he needs to reassess his morals if he can so easily be tempted to have sex with someone who makes him feel dirty. In other words, it's all her fault... he's a victim!!

Cynderella said: "In my opinion, Joaquin should have killed Jose Luis by now for messing with his money."

AMEN!!! We would have had a lot fewer episodes, but who cares? The JL/Joaquin impasse is driving me nuts and I find it a little boring.

I still hate what has happened to poor Fabi, but I wish they could have found another way for her character to grow lol.

J desde NYC-I confess I wanted to slap the stew out of Aranza last night.

Sara- Can't wait till we have a Siempre recap so that we can dish on Ara.

Cynderella, after reading the opening description of JL being in the mood for love, I knew this was your work. The entire recap was hilarious. And I thought she was crazy to get a shower with him still in the room. I was expecting him to follow her in.

There will be only one way for JL to deal with Raquel. She will never get an abortion as it's her meal ticket, so he will definitely have her killed. Well, that's my opinion, at least.

Another kissing scene for Cynderella to have to listen to and write about. Is it Tuesday? Yes, therefore they must kiss.

I'm still Team Ara-is-redeemable, but boy, she's trying. By the time she gets pull through the ringer by Sucia and Feo she will have to grow up, but she better name her first born with Esteban Isabel Eugenia because the way she's acted with Isabel is unconscionable. Also, she will have to kiss Isa's feet to make me happy and say 'Perdoname' 50-11 times while cleaning the toilets in the de la Riva home.

Vivi, yes it is nice seeing Fabi grow in light of her traumas. I would also like if she goes to college and if then she falls in love, then marry.

Foxy, great point about Cesar. Though Raquel did jump him twice, he could always have said no.

Cathyx, I'm with you on Raquel. And if she doesn't survive, her baby, I think its Cesar's, won't either.

thanks, Cyn, for that snappy recap.

I have to ask.......have you all taken your pills today ?

Tks Cynde, fantastic
Love how you got Satan out of Seb's name.

I was thinking just before UA's post that the female must be more susceptible than the male, due to anatomy.
How did Seb get HIV, must be sex, I haven't heard about him using needles.

They are VERY lax on finding the sex partners of the infected.
And Cesar is ok now, but can't it show up 6 mths later?

Women and gay men are more susceptible for the same reasons-- more tissue to tear and places for the virus to enter. Cesar should go back for testing in a few months just to be safe. But what he really needs to do is stay away from that skank Raquel, find a nice girl to date, and then practice safe sex with her.

Susanlynn,

Why yes I have taken my pills?

Cyn...okay good..Do we know if JL took his pills today ?

I'm going to say the JL did NOT take his pills today. Since little JL was rejected last night, he doesn't give a flip any more.

I am beyond late to this party, but Cynderella, Novia de??? I laughed at just about every paragraph!!!! Especially liked your take on the avances. You are HILARIOUS!!!

We all knew JL would be a jerk once Oriana returned and he has not disappointed.

Honestly, I don't know who is more pathetic, Raquel or Matilde. I suspect that Raquel might not be long for this world, but I have no idea what Matilde's anvil will be.

Maybe I expect too much, but Matilde has been non stop with her degrading insults of her daughter and Fabiola wants Matilde to remain in the house.

I'm sorry, but that does not make sense. Ok, so she's letting some remarks slide off her back, but really? She has said degrading comments; hurtful comments. Fabiola is a far better person as it would be hard for me to forget the ring of those words in my ears.

Fatima

Cynderella, I'm sorry to be checking in so late (tonight's episode has already aired here) but I simply had to thank you for this incredibly hilarious recap. For me this show left the realm of reality sometime ago but it is such a wacky romp and the recaps are so entertaining that I'm enjoying the heck out of it without too much emotional involvement. However, I do wish that Ricky would ditch those sissy scarves... they're just not working.

Carlos

Carlos, "ditto" on the sissy scarves. They never worked from the get go.

Fatima

Vivi, thanks for the video of Alex Speitzer (Sebas) and Geraldine Galvan (Fabi). They looked great as a couple and Geraldine looked like a quincenera. I'm also very glad to see she isn't starving her self--she looks like a normal, realistic-sized young woman. I loved the fuschia dress with the leopard accents--it sounds tacky but it looked great on Geraldine. They all looked great on her. She looks like Selena Gomez.

I read on NovelaLounge or Mas que novelas that the actress is going to sign with Telemundo. I hope doing so doesn't mean she has to starve herself because part of her charm is her wide-eyed, normal, pretty girl innocence that made us all so protective of her.

You always find the best stuff Vivi. And the actor who plays Sebas looked really handsome, too! They made me wish I had a quincenera.

J- I don't even do pink and butterflies, but my favorite of the dresses was the pink one with the flowers and butterflies. It was just so whimsical. But you are so right that Geraldine looks great in all of them. Thanks for the info about her move to Telemundo. I too hope she doesn't lose that healthy fresh look in order to get skinny.

Vivi, I know exactly which one you're talking about! I gasped when I saw her in it! I'm not a pink, girly-girl either but I loved that dress too. She is the perfect quincenera dress model because she looks so wide-eyed and innocent and looked so excited to be modeling the dresses.

I don't know how old Geraldine Galvan is, but she plays the innocent wide-eyed teen very well. Alex Speitzer was the same too. He looked like he enjoyed the shoot and has a good friendship/chemistry with Geraldine.

Awesome recap i think jl is crazy matilde needs a reality check and fabi needs to be happy i think leo is better for fabi and Geraldine is 20 i looked her up
