Por siempre mi amor #31 1/16/14: Hell's Angels Has a New Member and Her Name is Tita and Face Off al la Novela Style
The operation is going along as planned.
Labels: siempre
Based on the chispas, can we assume Mari and Dan are NOT related?
I'd love to see Tita get her novio involved in this. One more thing I love about these stories is the active seniors.
I'm thinking about using the end of Marido to cut back on tn watching, so I didn't take on La Impostora. I've been scanning the comments though. I'll check out the beginning epis this weekend to see if I like it.
I will also chime in for La Impostora. Manuel Landeta is looking good and Sebastian Zurita is a doll! I keep telling myself I have to make a decision and let one of my TNs go, but its hard.
On another note, is it really a good idea to have a child at this point? It has to feel really weird to have a sibling old enough to be one's parent without there being 10 in between like in the old days.
I got my wish...Tita wearing black ,eat her and riding a motorcycle. Ana Martin is having a good time playing this chick.
UA??my sister is 8 years older than I am. When a sublingual is that much older, he or she is kind of a pseudo parent.
All the little asides were priceless: "I would recognize those beady eyes anywhere." "Ara thinks bad of you just because."
Tita stole the show for me last night. I thought it was hilarious how she was kicking back on the motorcycle talking to Mari. Ana Martin must be having so much fun with this role after so many "meeker" roles the last few years.
Bruno was a runner up. I thought it was cute how he kept gagging during Tita and Ossie's conversation.
I definitely felt sorry for Ally last night.
I'm glad that Este quickly worked through his anger with his parents. But he's obviously still struggling with the death of Feo. As he said to Ara, he always had the idea that he'd be able to confront him and ask him questions someday. Of course, we know that he'll still have that chance, and they'll be a lot more to confront him about. I appreciate that Este said biological father instead of "real" father, as most tn characters tend to. I also enjoyed the sweet scene between the brothers.
I had to laugh as Andy and Mau continue to call Este by the pet name they called him when he was little, chaparrito, when he towers over both of them. They all also call Angel, Palomitas, after the popcorn we saw baby Angel constantly wolfing down.
I think another reason I enjoy this is the way they are handling the Mau/Andy and the children story. Just as you said, Vivi, they aren't pulling the biodad is "real" dad crap. They recognize quickly that Mau is the "real" dad.
"Baby Boy Bruno is jealous", "They didn't want to hurt him and they were waiting for the right time which was never", "(I don't see longevity in the cards for "Ole Sugar Daddy")", " Make her Feo guapo. Impossible!" and "A pig dressed in silk is still a pig" were among my favorites.
Sara, ITA that this role is a refreshing change of pace for Ana Martin. Hope she is enjoying it as much as we are. A real woman of a certain age (of which I am one) taking charge of her life and destiny - so not the everyday run of the mill story line.
Susanlynn, also loved the skull and crossbone scarf Tita was sporting. She looked awesome.
Meanie appears to have gambled and lost. Heavily...I fear this may turn into a problem for Mau and Andrea. I agree with everyone that am relieved Esteban and his parents patched things up - what a great family.
I'm cringing in even trying to consider what nefarious plans Feo and Sonia are concocting. I fear Andrea, Isa and Ara are in very great danger.
Thanks again TJ!
Diana
I do feel for Ally, because it's becoming more apparent that this is a forced partnership.
Mau and Andrea have created a wonderful, loving family in spite of MeanMinnie.
I'm very ok with Esteban and Tita carrying the goody, good banner.
Art - damn a wealth of bright ideas - The crib and when the little one comes have a painting done of the baby & Isabel and replace the one over the fireplace. Aranza will understand.
Dan & Mari - what a shame but with Fernando & Sonia loose you are probably related to half of Mexico
Tita - scoop Mari and those kids up and teach Ally to ride.
Meanie - I see a gambling debt and a mess to clean up
Aranza - I know you won't stay on the good track much longer and the shrill emerge
Esteban - tip for later when your guts are spilled by Aranza. Ileana is really cute and the candy is not bitter inside.
Mau, Art, Andy, Isabel - they are young adults go ahead and have a sit down and tell them already
My favorite character in this novela is sweet Este. he is such a nice guy. I hope that Ara, Feo, and Soton do not completely chew him up and destroy him.
Aranza- The first part of her life was grounded, stable, and filled with love. The second half of her life has been influenced by evil (Sonia) and by the schizophrenic parenting of post-Eugenia Art and desperate for acceptance Isa. Ara, therefore, is pretty schizophrenic herself, and we see the back and forth between good Ara and bad Ara.
Este- Raise first by a kind-hearted and dedicated mother the first half of his life. And the second half of his life he lucked out and got a kind-hearted and dedicated dad. Mau and Andy seem to always be on the same page in the way they parent their kids. Este is a kid-hearted and fair-minded, down-to-earth young man.
Ileana- Ever present and united parents, never seen by the audience, but it’s clear they are a big positive influence on their thoughtful and smart daughter.
Dafne- Uff! Where to begin? Selfish parents who emotionally (mom) and physically (dad) abandoned her. Spiteful/hateful mother who took her husband’s abandonment out on her daughter. Daf’s home life is an ugly mess, and so is she.
Daniel- Has a loving/caring, but emotionally distant father. Being a military man, Gil felt that his son should follow in the same footsteps, attending military boarding schools most of his life, despite Dan’s more pacifist nature. His mother died when he was young and he seems to have lacked a female presence in his life (being totally ignored by his big sister). The result—a kind-hearted, but awkward, reserved and shy young man, looking for the love of a woman.
Marianela- Perhaps the only anomaly among the young people. Raised in an orphanage where she was picked on and abused by the prefect, until she ran away as a teen. Somehow, she did not come out emotionally damaged or bitter. The only explanation is natural inner strength. Her reaction to the horrible childhood she had, is to try to make the childhood of other children in her situation better. She greets the world with a smile and a happy heart. This girl is truly one of a kind.
Borlas- Same starting point as Mari. Although he seems happy-go-lucky outwardly, he sees the world in a much more jaded way than Mari does, and views himself as an outsider. He’s quick to become defensive or to take offence. He also doesn’t mind breaking the law or rules. But like Mari, he has a good, kind heart and wants to help other kids.
Sara, Cuca and Padre have vexed b/c they ignored poor Mari when she told them of her abuse and allowing her to stay in the orphanage. I hope somehow Mari and Dan and not related but like Vivi said, unless something unexpected pops up, they are related.
Vivi, thanks for the great analysis of the younger characters. I hope the writer bring a strong resolution to things when Ara learns how So-not has lied to her all her life and killed her mom.
Also---A pig dressed in silk is still a pig. Viewerville has this guy pegged. A nose job will not save him.
I loved the Tita/Ana Martin motorcycle scene last night. You go girl. Now if she could get Ossie in the sidecar, they would steal the show.
Tofie---your daily comments are worth waiting for. You had me laughing with Fernando and Sonia loose you are probably related to half of Mexico.
Vivi---I totally love Marianela.
Because of her unfortunate childhood, she tries to make the childhood of other children better. You have to love a sweet beautiful person like that. Instead of crying over her unhappiness, she is trying to do what she can to make other little children happy. A saint in the making?
Conservative---I agree. If Aranza
is redeemed, it will not be for a long time, maybe not until the very end. You know after the anvils have hit the bad people and the good people live happily ever after. It's at that point when Aranza will probably see the light, the truth about So-Not. But until then???
the gringo
Gabi - missed you but guess you were at a pity party of one. Bet when another dude pays attention Bruno will take notice (if it is the new and improved, well rested Diablo and you fall for it I give up)
Ally - to make this all tidy in the end you'll have to hit the bitch switch but ever body so far has treated you like dodo
Meanie - I get you are an aging bitter woman who's daughter got knocked up as a teen by a scoundrel but put a lid on it. You are on the easiest street in your life but imagine you to be the mole and assist Diablo with a take down when you get in gambling debt.
Art - ugh, really am speechless
Isabel - but you so pretty for being such a wreck.
Andy - I give you a pass when falling for and carrying a torch for Fernando, he was first love. Still kinda mousey though
Ileana - pssss, Ileana don't feel guilty and comfort Esteban when Aranza rips his heart out and stomps it. You guys would make cute babies
Daphne - I know women like you and when you ain't cute no more what you got
Fernando - playah
Sonia - you look and act like a wrung out mop and lo you stink
Mari - look out, look out you are too pretty and sweet and could be the karmic dump from your parents, Diablo and a hell hound
