Good Grief! Carmina wants to enter politics. Well she's a natural, the way she's skimming money from the Tufão Foundation. Her speech at the school was making me ill.
It sounds like both Carmina and Max lived at the landfill. Can you imagine living at a landfill? Disgusting odor, toxic fumes, possibly toxic waste, heavy machinery. Yet Nina And Jorgito liked it there.
Is Muricy's inner cougar going to come out? And Leleco is proposing to Tessalia before he even starts the paperwork for his divorce.
What the heck does Tufão do all day?
More mystery involving Lucinda and Nilo. Can't wait to find out how Lucinda is connected to this.
Holy moly!! Eduardo just found out that Blanca is Memo's daughter; and overheard his Mom and abuelo talking about "getting rid" of him.
I just love Zurita's eyes. He's got kind of a weird shaped head/face/hair, and strange ears, but somehow his overall looks work for me.
I liked the L Morelos in Aurora. As V San Marino, who's supposedly wealthy, her clothes, shoes, bags look cheap; same goes for Raquel. The 2Altamira boys though have nice suits, befitting their status.
How is Blanca going to keep up this juggling act??
ugh... Cristobal's slowly getting sucked into Mariana's schemes.
What an epi! Jorgito and Nina kissed, yay! Their love is very strong. They have loved each other all these years. I like how he told her he knew who she was. Amazing.
I had to laugh at Muricy. Well if you accuse someone of doing something long enough, they just might do it. Leleco and Tessalia kissing, oh, my. And Muricy "kidnapped"??? Too funny.
I too wonder what Tufao is doing all day. Maybe refereeing fights between his Ma and Pa???? They do like to have their bidness in the streets, I must say.
I like the way Mama Lucinda tries to help each of her "kids" especially Jorgito and Nina. Those two scenes with them were very moving.
Nilo is an idiot and I bet, just speculation, he goes back to the money tree for more money. He wants what Max and Carmina have and then some.
Sue455:
I get what you are saying about living in a landfill, it still happens everyday in Brasil, The Phillipians, and I'm sure many other places. You could see the horror in Rita's face when she was dropped off there, but when she met Mama Lucinda she found a Mama. It seems a lot of these children pull themselves up by the bootstraps and make something of themselves and don't turn out like Carmina and Max did. I like the way Nina turned out, but she is full of revenge, and Jorgito was raised by Carmina his own Mama. Although I think this is more Tufao's influence with Jorgito.
Suelen and Carmina in the same room, now that would be priceless!
Max and Carmina still doing it? Yuck and their ever love of money!
Carmina was making me ill too with her little speech, her "charity" blah, blah, and she does have the touch for politics, but if she does run for office, Nilo will come out of the woodwork, I'm thinking. Or maybe Nina will send an anonymous letter to the party? Just speculation, she has got to pay sometime, along with Max. The skimming from the foundation can also get her in trouble. I wonder who is doing the books for the foundation?
What an epi this one was. Ay, yi, yi, that French Mafia guy. He is a pig for sure, just what Teresa called him. He traffics in women and heroin. I too didn't like the same needle being used on all those women. Huge risk of disease.
Since Oleg is keeping his distance, Teresa gets help from Chaib. Interesting, and then finds the guy that tried to kill Teo among these guys. That torture scene was horrid, but she got the answer she was looking for.
I thought they had more security at Trans Nager? so was surprised the French Mafia was able to get in the building. Poor Conejo but wow what a kiss that was between Conejo and Alberto. Didn't see that coming.
Juarez sure thinks there is something off with Guadaloupe/Veronica.
So Eddy tried to bump off Teo for Eugenia, big surprise. She kept harping about being married for ten years to a Don Juan, a pre nup and she gets jack from him. I had to laugh that Eddy actually made out in the deal with her. Like 50% of the deal. The best scene was in the church when Eddy was the "priest", but I'm hoping the bodyguard over heard something. He was that close. Had to laugh when that other lady came and knelt and started to confess.
So Juarez sure has some connections cause he figured out who put the hit out on Teo pretty quickly and even told Oleg, his face was priceless when he found out, like que????
So I wonder if Teresa will be doing bidness with Chaib now that Oleg is lying low. I didn't think we'd see him again, especially after Dris Larby was bumped off. These guys even had a connection with Dris and Yamilla. That was a surprise.
The very annoying Simona tells Eduardo her sister Blanca is a prostitute! I guess this was part of the plan of Dona Tita's son (name?) to save Blanca by turning Eduardo's interest away from her. But Simona was enjoying the whole thing too much. Blanca gets wind of it and confronts Simona, who doesn't back down and basically calls Blanca a prostitute to her face.
Karina is more like a sister to Blanca. She is a sweetheart and I'm already wondering what the writers are going to do with the love triangle of her, Ramon and Jorge.
We also see the brother of Christobal's fiancee confront Mariana about staying away from the couple.
J in Oregon
Christobal - nothing more than a little snack for Mariana. By the way it is none of your business meddling in your brothers
Karina - Cheater. Your bf was getting beat down and you in the arms of your "friend" Let's see, Oh Jorge I feel so guilty so lets make out some more. I do think you the prettiest of all the women on the show however.
Jorge - selfish rich guy and always gets what he wants even from his friends
Ramon - Sorry for your loss. I don't mean the photos
Rafa - yuck again, I mean yuck
Simona - what made you such a shrew
Need help. I know Eduardo overheard the conversation but was it Memo or Adriano?
I'm actually starting to feel a little sorry for Cristobal. I think he just wants to feel like he's needed/important/not a dullard.
Tofie-They were talking about Memo. Your description of Simona is perfect. She is a hatin' shrew. I think she's just as dangerous as Mariana.
I'm not hating on Jorge about his actions he at least has the sense to try and make his own dreams come true without relying on the family money. The Katrina Ramon thing is unfortunate but she is as much to blame as he is. I think they are both really conflicted. Poor Ramon either has to end up with a new girl or dead.
Christobal is exactly the wimp his mother thinks he is. He should just mind his own business and stop sniffing around his brother's wife.
Shallowgirl - Zurita is an amalgam of both of his parents but he definitely has his mother beautiful eyes.
I don't see how much longer they can keep up with the impostor act. Way too many people know something and if anyone bad like Raquel puts it together all hell will break loose and even Adrian won't be able to protect her. I do think Rafa was trying to protect her but as smart as he thinks he is he is out of his league with the redheaded witch.
I keep expecting Blanca to be found out but the person brought into the play and assist. Just can't imagine whom.
I still see similarities to LP but at least Eduardo is more sensible than Alejandro in LP. The LP writers made Ale deaf, blind and dumb to move along the plot, but in this they've made Eduardo see Raquel 's venom. I'm intrigued how the impostora act can last if Eduardo is now hanging out with Blanca's friends. I guess the TN writers have it figured out to make everything so interwined that a loose thread can unravel all.
Ramon better be Adriano's child after the red-headed stepchild treatment he's getting: he's an orphan, his photo exposition gets robbed, and he gets beat up during the robbery; his photos are deleted and his gf and best friend are betraying him? Yeah, he needs to find out his Bio dad is Daddy Warbucks to get a well deserved happy ending.
So Teresa draws the line at heroin. Tesa dear, you're in a foul business so it was only a matter of time before you had to face a sicko like Garou. Of course, I loved Teresa trashing Garou to his face, but agree it wasn't politic and actually aggravated things.
When Eugenia asked Teresa for bodyguards, it seemed like extortion to me. Next Eugenia was too quick with the doc to assume Teo was dead. So I suspected she wasn't all that clean, but I never imagined she had Eddie procure a hit on Teo.
Madelaine, even when I saw the kiss coming between Conejo and Alberto, I still couldn't believe it till they did it. We'll, Conejo has had a nice makeover.
My dream ending for Reina would be Teresa and Oleg escaping the business and living quietly on a tiny island. My guess is that's not going to happen though.
Hmmm, I didn't even consider Ramon as Adriano's (good one) but he has taken it on the chin and thankfully Eduardo has stepped up to help him as his friend and gf frolic.
I hope that is so and not have him killed off just so Karina and Jorge can live happily ever after
Oi-Oi-Oi! Tufão's house is full of intrigue:
Tufão tells Carmina that Max is after Sheila, the secretary at the salon, not knowing that Carmina and Max have a relationship.
Carmina confronts Max with this tidbit and he says there's nothing going on between the two of them. To prove his "honesty" he spills about Ivana being suspicious that Carmina is diverting funds from the charitable foundation.
Carmina thinks that Ivana won't have time to keep an eye on her if she has to constantly monitor Max's doings and whereabouts. She tells Ivana about Max and Sheila. Ivana promptly fires Sheila.
Carmina doesn't realize that Nina, the cook, is Rita, the girl she abused years ago and stole money from.
Jorgito knows that Nina is Rita but doesn't know Carmina is his biological mother.
Only Max and Carmina know that the dreaded Nilo is Max's biological father.
*****
I'm enjoying the love theme that plays when Nina and Jorgito are together. I wish I understood Portuguese.
Carmina welcoming the poor onto the grounds of the mansion. What a farce! If they only knew what she really thought about them.
Oh no! Nilo is spilling his guts about Rita. What will Carmina do with this info?
I've been busy moving and unpacking. So I've missed the past few episodes and stop by here to see what's been going on. Madeline and Sue455, thanks for keeping the comments rolling. I've missed so much and can't wait to catch up.
Josie
Oi, Oi, Oi indeed, Sue455! Nina and Jorgito are sure lost in each other. Those were some passionate love making scenes, and now Jorgito is being a bit distant with Debora. I wonder how badly she is hurt from her accident.
I can't believe Nilo followed Mama Lucinda to Nina's flat. It's so sad and now he is blackmailing her. He's already made her life hell. It's too bad Mama Lucinda didn't have her Nilo radar going.
What were those papers that Mama Lucinda gave Nina? Were they Jorgito's letters, from when they were little? Nina sure enjoyed reading them.
I too think Tufao's house is a house of intrigue. So much goes on there. Muricy brings her amante home, Ivana suspects Carmina of taking money from the charity, Max is witching about new shoes, and Nilo showing up at the party for the kids.
I too didn't like Nilo spilling to Carmina that Rita was back in Brasil. I hope he doesn't spill the frijoles, I think he may take the blackmail route with both of them.
I also wonder what Jorgito will do with Debora. Will he really marry her? What about Nina? Can't wait for today's epi to find out!
Josie:
Please join us, this is a really different TN from what I'm used to.
This was an interesting episode. I really thought that Teo had come out of his coma when his wife Eugenia came to visit. But nopis, just involuntary eye reaction! I thought he had really heard her say he'd be better off dead, to her at least and the girls. What a beyotch this woman is.
Neice: I too thought that Eugenia was extorting Teresa, but it's all about Eugenia isn't it?
Again with the French Mafia and this time Patty almost gets kidnapped. I was surprised that Lupe/Veronica saved her. Her explanation of how she took judo, karate, etc made me laugh.
Slick Eddy is now on his way to hell. I thought Juarez shooting him in the head, after he fell off the building was a bit of overkill, so to speak. I guess Juarez wanted it to look like suicide.
Lupe is a bit of a nosy parker isn't she? I think Juarez has her number and she seemed a bit on edge that Juarez knew so much about her already, and she knows he's an ex cop.
Willy is sure downing what aspirin, tums, as much coffee as he drinks and the hours he keeps you'd think by now he has an ulcer. He didn't even look surprised that Slick Eddy had bought it.
Eugenia is now sweating bullets. Good. She had the nerve to insult Teresa too. I'd like to see where this is going.
And Teo woke up for real. I like that he asked the doctor what happened and where he was and his memories. I still don't like the guy. There is something off about him.
In this week I can watch the episodes only with some delay because of my exams. But I heard a disco's hit in the 05.ep. on Monday.
Does somebody know this music? If yes, please write the title and the performer. Here is the link:

2:20-3:00 - this is the duration.
Add me to the list of people who think Adriano's son is Ramon. I was thinking about it the other day. He is the only one who has no familial ties to anyone else and there would be a sort of justice if he lost his girl and gained a father with a fortune.
Adriano is ruthless as he is singleminded focused on finding his child. He doesn't seem to care much that a lot of innocent people are being hurt but he may find a way to redeem himself in a way that leaves Blanca unexposed.
I originally gave Jorge and Karina a pass on their actions, things like that happen. Jorge had loved Karina in silence until he talked to his brother then he makes a move on her. Now of course we know they are sleeping together and I wonder if she is also sleeping with Ramon. I'm throwing shade at Karina since as the woman she is in control of the situation. Before she jumped into bed with Jorge she should have had the decency to break it off with Ramon but she didn't and that really lowers her in my estimation.
Raquel knows no shame. Having her servant tell Eduardo that Adriano beat her sister and wanted to cause an abortion because he didn't want the child is such an outrageous lie. Now Eddie is convinced that Adriano is a monster and things won't go well for Blanca when he finds out she is working for him. I keep wondering what other4 secrets Raquel and Leo have. Surely having a child out of wedlock can't be so horrible so what else are they hiding?
I haven't watched last night's cap yet, but it would be ridiculous of Eduardo to believe Raquel's lie via Melania. Why would Adriano blantantly accuse the Raquel cartel-thanks to whomever came up with this of kill Valentina, the love of his life, if he had wanted her to abort? Adriano publically showed himself and declared war on the Altamiras while Leonidas and Raquel are obviously hiding something. If Ed believes it, he's stupid.
Karina is a swet girl, and the only one who doesn't believe Blanca is a prostitute, but she's dead wrong for messungbwith Jorge and not breaking it off with Ramon, especially since he's marriage-minded and he told her as much in the first cap. As I said, after the way he's getting treated, he better be Adriano's son.
Adriano - why go for the close so fast? exploit the friendship developing between Eduardo and Blanca
Cristobal - Mother is right you kinda are stupid
Jorge - I know he is cute and all but it's easy to act poor when you can jump on an expensive motorcycle and dinner at your mothers mansion.
Karina - hmmmm, I'll be nice. Very selfish
Mariana - what's your body fat %
Eduardo - I was skeptical at first but you are solid. Thanks for helping Ramon too. Watch out for your mama's tomfoolery
I enjoyed the cat and mouse between Eugenia and Teresa. But it must be a relief for Teresa to know Teo's shooting had nothing to do with her (Teresa), so there's no reason for her to feel guilty about it.
Teo seems to have remembered Eugenia saying he's better to her dead. Wonder what he'll do.
Madelaine, yep that was overkill on Juarez's part. Seems to me Flores and Willy will want to stick this on Teresa.
Willy told Veronica to learn slow on the job, but with saving the day with the French thugs she's not exactly doing that. She is in over her head with Juarez. Veronica must like Patty, at least some, cause Patty's hands are always on her. That's way over the call of duty if she isn't into it.
Shooting Eddie to make it look like suicide, ¿Qué what? You can't commit suicide by jumping off a bldg? I don't get that one at all.
Hmmm...Ramon as Adriano's lost hijo. I like it! Too bad Karina is has made the choice to betray him. Because she is otherwise a good character and loyal to Blanca.
I would pay money not to have to watch Raquel for the duration. I can't stand her wig, or her condescending, monotone way of speaking. Pero bueno. If they are trying to make her unlikeable, good job!
J in Oregon
I was impressed by Eugenia last night. She held her own against Teresa with that well-thought out lie about Eddie. I'd believe her. As long she doesn't push her luck and Teo doesn't screw things up, she might be in the clear. She has kids so I'm ok with that, and way to use that fact against Teresa. She's good. Well, not GOOD good, but good at being bad.
Kelly
Another great episode! Nina hiring an actress to play Rita. Carmina's version of the truth. Max getting swindled. Cadinho's (Carlos Eduardo) close calls. Débora announcing to Jorgito that she will move in with him. Muricy ordering the removal of the billboard featuring Tessalia.
I haven't looked forward to watching a novela this much since the early days of Amor Bravío. Both have engaging villans, Isadora and Carmina.
I read comments on another board that there aren't any real good-looking galan-types on this show. I watch a novela for a well-acted interesting story. If there's eye candy, even better.
Thanks, J desde NYC. I started watching LP but dropped it after a month or so due to scheduling conflicts.
By the way, the actor playing Jorge was in Mi Corazon Insiste playing the spoiled rich half brother of JenCarlos Canela. We called him Sweater Boy because he looked pampered and weak and always had a cardigan draped over his shoulders with the sleeves tied in front. He wasn't much to look at in that one. He has much more "charisma" (read: hotte!!!) in LI.
J in Oregon
Sue455:
This was a really good episode, poor Nina, having to sit through the cleaned up/made up story of Rita with Carmina. I don't blame Nina for throwing up afterwards. Had to laugh when Janaina asked if Nina could be embarazada! I wondered that myself.
I'm glad that Nina hired that actress. Good for her, now her secret hopefully is safe for awhile, but Nilo will be coming around again I'm sure.
Muricy really has it in for Leleco doesn't she? Poor Tessalia is getting most of the backlash. Muricy wants her cake and eat it too.
Max is pulling a fast one again isn't he? Is he trying to steal a soccer player from Diogenes and sending him to someone else? Max is all about the lana, and Carmina even kissed him in her house, never mind that people are always in and out.
Had to laugh at Debora asking Jorgito if she could move in with him and recuperate. His answer, why don't we wait till we marry?
Carlos almost got caught with wife #1 Veronica at the hospital to visit Debora, and wife #2 Noemia in the hospital for that car accident. That was something with Noemia wanting to go to the cafeteria for juice and slips and falls and Veronica helps her up. Too funny.
I think Jorgito is quite handsome, I know he's not the lead but still. I also like this storyline, and that's what I look for too.
Those French Mafia thought they were so smart. I think Garou thought she must be some type of dummy, pun intended. What an idiot. We got to see Pote in action too. I was surprised he used a baseball bat and not his Colt. Now Garou is paralyzed and he gave up La Mexicana!
I too just knew that Eddy's death would not be ruled a suicide. They determined he was shot after he fell. Forensics are really good these days. If Juarez had left well enough alone, but no. Now Flores knows that Juarez is involved.
What will it take to move Willy? Someone remarked when this first ran, I think it was Novelera, that Willy had lost all his charm when he went to DEA training. I think he's just a cold fish. I wish they had done more of a backstory on him. I think he may have feelings for Teresa too. Just a guess. Whenever she's mentioned he sort of gets misty.
Veronica/Lupe better watch her back. She sure is inquisitive isn't she? So many questions, especially when Pote and Dr. Ramos came back form their little mission. Is that blood or wine???? Hmmmm.... if they had been smart they would have said wine. I think Pote also thinks there is something off with her, along with Juarez.
Now all of Teo's memories are flooding back. Even the one when he was having that eye reaction and I think he knows Eugenia is involved. Teresa also suspects. I noticed too that Teresa seems to be pulling back from him a bit. I think with Teo it was all physical, I don't think Teresa is all about him, like she was with El Guero and Santiago. There seems to be no spark between them, just sex, that's all, that's it, and of course his job.
Neice:
I'm getting that vibe too with Veronica. She sure is into Patti, more than work related. She sure doesn't mind Patti's hands a bit does she? Also with Eugenia, didn't Teresa say she gets rid of her enemies as she and Pote were leaving, and that look that Pote gave her? Hmmmm.......
Oh, and Eugenia rubbing it into Teresa that she has no kids, but Eugenia does.
Kelly:
Eugenia is a good actress isn't she? I even think Teresa called her on that too, not to her face but once she'd left. It will be interesting to see what Teresa does as far as Eugenia is concerned.
the love theme that plays when Nina and Jorgito
Depois
Depois de sonhar tantos anos,
De fazer tantos planos
De um futuro pra nós
Depois de tantos desenganos,
Nós nos abandonamos como tantos casais
Quero que você seja feliz
Hei de ser feliz também
Depois de varar madrugada
Esperando por nada
De arrastar-me no chão
Em vão
Tu viraste-me as costas
Não me deu as respostas
Meu bem
Vamos ter liberdade
Para amar à vontade
Sem trair mais ninguém
Quero que você seja feliz
Hei de ser feliz também
Depois
Just Then
Just then, having dreamt all these years
Of making many plans
For a future for us
Just then, after many disillusions
We were just forgotten as many couples are
What I want is you to be happy
Then I shall be happy as well
Just then, after dawn had passed
While waiting for nothing
Dragging myself across the floor
In vain
You turned me your back
Didn't give me the answers
That I needed to hear
What I want is you to be better
Then I shall be better too
We both
Already had the moments
But our time has passed
Something we can't deny
It was good
We made stories
To keep on our memories
And to accompain us
I just want you to live without me
I will make it as you did
Just then we've accepted the facts
Gonna change all your portraits for someone else's
My precious
We will be free
To love as much as we want to
Without betraying anymore
What I want is you to be hapy
Then I shall be happy as well
Just then
Sue & Madelaine, I totally agree about what a good tn this is, I'm definitely hooked. Too bad it's not on at primetime, but at least during the day we get two hrs.
The girl that pretended to be Rita was Nina's friend Betania, her childhood friend from the landfill. I think that Betania does knows why Rita/Nina is back in brazil, and is helping her out.
What Max was doing was buying the rights to a player's contract. But the guy (Leverson?) sold the same rights to Max and a number of other people. Diogenes was telling Tifon that Leverson was scamming people, and hoped Max wasn't one of them.
I'm loving how different this tn is from the usual ones I've seen. I do think there are some hotties in this tn, starting with Jorgito, especially when he smiles!
Anon 2:20, thks for the lyrics! Enjoying the music for this tn
jlk
Well, I'm somewhat disappointed in the revelation of Adriano's "hijo."
First of all, why did Raquel even bother to tell Victoria anything. It would not have been in Raquel's nature to spill the frijoles. But she did want that infusion of cash. As a ruthless businesswoman, she should have at least waited until she had Victoria and her "dad's" company thoroughly investigated.
Decie and all, I was really getting into your idea that Ramon was Adriano's "hijo"--orphan, raised by a well-meaning cura, good photographer, but needs some income. That certainly would have put a new twist on things.
Instead, we get "hija" and our possibilities are--Simona? Karina? Catalina? Mariana? Blanca? We know it can't be Socorro or Fernanda or Tita. It would be mean to have the hija be someone we haven't met yet.
Then there's Leticia's reaction to seeing Victoria in the avances that points to_______ Fill in the likely suspect.
So, I guess the rest of the tn will be a Blanca-Victoria hide-and-seek, Eduardo hates/loves Blanca and Eduardo hates/loves Victoria.
Eso es lo de menos. I'll be watching every night. Sebastian's smile got me at Hola.
Anon 2:20:
Thanks so very much of the name of the theme they play for Jorgito and Nina and the translation. It is much appreciated.
jlk:
Thanks so much for the explanation of what happened with Max and Leverson. Maybe Max has met his match ; ) I thought it funny when Max was bragging to Carmina about making money off this deal. I can't wait for him to find out he's been scammed. I too am enjoying this eclectic mix of music for this TN.
I'm not sure that Raquel even told the truth on this one. It can't be Simona since she is only 18 and would be too young, Mariana and Karina seem to be too old. This child is supposed to be about 20 so Blanca still seem to be in front if it is indeed a girl but that incestuous first cousin relationship with Ed pushes boundaries even for Telemundo.
The Leticia reaction to Blanca seemed telling to me although why I don't know. Her appearance also answered the question I had about wondering if Leo know his daughter was still alive. Looks like Leo, Raquel and the meddling priest were all in on it.
Simona really irks me. She has no loyalty, is a spoiled, jealous, selfish brat and is in way over her head with Mariana. If they have to kill off someone she is one I won't mess.
I hope there is more to this than a shell game and a love hate relationship (though it seems so) or I'll get bored real fast.
Ramon - my last hope for you gone and you'll have nothing when you catch your lover and her lover in the act.
Karina & Jorge - cute couple but are both turds. No, super duper turds
Eduardo - clearly the only good guy standing but hope you don't become stupid
Rafa - the most revolting award goes to
Simona - worthless waste of space
Christobal - every TN needs some comic relief
Blanca - will the real Blanca please stand up. I see you on the screen a lot but can't get a handle on what I feel about you
oh J in Oregon - I've liked Mauricio Henao since ¿Dónde está Elisa?; then in La Tempestad (albeit not many scenes). He is a cutie-pie.
Anita - "Sebastian's smile got me at Hola"... love it!
I really like that the 3 adorable brothers seem to get along, and tease each other; not typical tn where one would be evil or crazy.
Decie--The "suspects" were all tongue in cheek. Of course it will be Blanca. It would just make it more interesting if it had been Ramon. Adriano and Blanca would still have a close relationship after the truth were to come out and it was Ramon.
It continues to be a beanie-tightening moment for me that at the very least, Rafa hasn't figured out the two women Mariana wants rubbed out are one in the same. He's the only one who has seen both. All Blanca did to change herself was apply lipstick and a little mascara--she didn't even bother to part her hair on the other side, or do an upsweep when she was Victoria.
But then Blanca and Eduardo would share the same grandfather and be first cousins. Know someone else mentioned this but is this normal for a TN?
Oh, my aching head
Deb--Yes, that's exactly what Mariana said to Simona. It was an eye-opener for me (although come to think of it, I took a look at Simona's above the waist gifts and you could see through her top that her breasts were bound.) So, you can expect her to come back with bigger bazooms, or die trying.
Her irresponsibility is getting to me--leaving Hugo asleep on a hard bench, for heavens' sakes, in order to go off to a disco. But, regretfully, I can see her point. After Memo's accident, it was Blanca who took care of Hugo AND her. Life for her hadn't changed and she resented having to do something besides work at Tita's. I'm assuming, after what she told Fernanda (I think), that she has finished secondary and went straight to work, no career. Of course she'd like a rich boyfriend who whisks her off in a limo. But, her decision to leave Hugo by himself--without at least telling her--was inexcusable. He IS about 8 or 9, so for a late night outing, he might have been ok. Not legally. If he's timid or afraid of being left alone, it would have been a no-no.
tofie--
Blanca would be Adriano's and Valentina's. Eduardo would be Raquel's and .. probably her deceased husband's. The blood tie of course is through Valentina and Raquel, making Eduardo and Blanca first cousins. True enough.
The only way for this to work, if Blanca is Addie's and Val's, is for Eduardo not to be Raquel's son. She certainly favors him over the other two, though.
Old Leonidas has been charged and found guilty of preferring Valentina over Raquel, so maybe Val isn't a full sister to Raquel.
Hmmmm the possibilities. Tofie, you've just started my head aching, too.
I meant leave Hugo without telling him (Hugo), not "leave Hugo by himself--without at least telling her."
I thought Mariana said there were two things Simona would have to do and breast implants the first but didn't catch if she mentioned what the second was. Anybody know?
tofie--Could she mean both bazooms? Haha. I'll have to rewatch, but it probably wasn't all that important.
OT but I simply had to mention it. We often talk about how TN's reuse sets and props but last night I saw a doozy.
I don't watch LQLVMR, find Boyer revolting and hate weeping galans however last night AB was decked out in a horrible bright green and pink dress with white cuffs on the sleeves. I happened to catch it channel surfing and laughed my head off since Mariana in LI was wearing the same dress last night. I can't believe that Telemundo and Televisa are sharing their costume departments and can only chalk it up to bad taste on the part of both costume designers. LOL
Decie Girl-I'm not a fan of AB, either. Well, I liked her at the beginning of AdP...but she wore thin...quick.
I'm enjoying this one a lot. Sebastian had me at "hola" too. ;-) I'm one who thinks Raquel lied about it being an hija.
What if Leon's wife cheated on him and Raquel is not his daughter? Then Eduardo and Blanca couldn't be cousins...but it's a bit far fetched. Hmmm...
This one show where you absolutely can't look away, too much is happening! I listened to Victoria's awkward interrogation of Raquel about the missing hijo, and thought the scene was over. I missed the part about Raquel admitting the missing baby was a girl.
By the way, when Socorro first approached Adriano she seemed like a former servant of Valentina who came to share the secret of the baby. Now she has a whole new wardrobe, and seems like one of the team.

Thursday night:
Uh-oh, I believe Grandpa is going to Anvil City: "As long as I'm alive, this house belongs to me". Bad choice of words, Gramps.
Wow, so many reveals, and not even two weeks into the show! Fernanda is in love with Adrian; "Letitia" is out of the (psych ward) closet; Raquel tells the family that "Letitia" is the daughter of Housekeeper Meliana; Victoria tells Adriano she thinks Valentina is alive; Ramon, Simona, and the Padre walk in on Karina and Jorge. Oopsie.
Okay, really--millionaire investor Victoria San Marino brings a gift to Sofia, and the best she can do is a knock-off Barbie Doll? Sheesh.
J in Oregon
Blanca seemed to jump to the wrong conclusion, thinking Leticia is Valentina. But that was my first thought too. Only time will tell.
I love Eduardo calling Mariana out on her lies, and that he does not easily believe them.
I hope Rafael got through to Simona, about not making an alliance with Mariana.
Oooh, glad Karina and Jorge got caught. I thought she was cool, and pretty in the beginning, but lost respect for her.
tofie - I'm a fan of your one-liners.
Decie Girl - speaking of 'borrowed wardrobe,' the same happened with a certain yellow frock that Bianca on Pasion Prohibida wore, and Marina on La Tempestad. I think it's just coincidence though since they're on different locations/countries. btw, I too find AB repugnant; seems to me she had a facelift, and couldn't do the same to her downturned mouth. everything about her physical appearance is fake.
OT - Rulli and Arambula were just rumored to be married; they're no longer together.
J in Oregon--Your query, "I missed the part about Raquel admitting the missing baby was a girl."
The scene *was* over. Viewerville didn't hear it from Raquel's mouth. It wasn't revealed until B-V showed up back at Adriano's palatial pad that she told him he had an hija. He immediately started to wax poetic about an hija.
Mariana - naw, everyone knows where you live and is busier than a drive through McDonalds
aka Victoria - could you be a little less obvious around Eduardo you'll spoil the show
Christobal - little boy trying to wear big boy pants
Jorge - know you'll get a pass because you look good (and rich) but you're a smuck. Your dreamy eyes look like you're on Valium
Karina - shameless hussy
Ramon - well you can't deny it happened and forget
Adriano - dammit man, relax a little
I'm starting to be okay with Teresa-Teo. Teresa is older now, a bit worn. After the crazy passion with El Güero and Santiago, she's more pragmatic. Teo is smart and comfortable. I like Teo better now that I've seen him confront his wife about the hit. But Teresa said Teo is the smartest guy she's known, but actually Oleg is the smartest.
Madelaine, yep, Garou was nuts to think Teresa would meet him alone at a deserted train station. Who does that? In every mafia movie I've ever seen the rivals meet in a public place so they feel safe.
Like all commenters of the past, I am taken with Pote. Walking while firing his Colt and swinging his baseball bat. Guilty fun. But now Guara named La Mexicana, oh no.
Variopinta, ITA Juarez overthought things and messed up. He thinks Flores is a chump, but Flores is not that stupid. Anything connected with Teresa goes under a microscope.
Kelly, I was impressed by Eugenia too, keeping her cool and making a lie on the fly. I think she's fueled by her feelings of superiority over a tercermundista like Teresa.
Nina is taking so many chances as is Jorgito. To be kissing Nina in his Mother's house, oi, oi, oi. Jorgito thinks he can just ditch Debora, that will be the day. I bet she fights for him tooth and nail.
It was too funny that Veronica and Noemia are bonding and Veronica met Tomas, Noemia and Carlos' son. Now Veronica wants Tomas to meet Debora and her husband. Too funny. As Noemia wants Veronica to meet her Dudu. Ruh, roh!
Max finds out he's been swindled. Boo, hoo, but he owes money to some guy, so now he has to pay it. He got a beat down for not having the money. So Max comes up with a brilliant plan of kidnapping Agatha for the money. Good thing Nina heard it all and sends Tifon a note saying there is going to be a kidnapping. Also while Max and Carmina are planning some of this, they are in an SUV with Nina hidden under the seat. She is taking so many chances.
Since Nina sent the note ahead of the kidnap, Agatha doesn't get taken, but Carmina does. She isn't happy, and this guy knows her, so it off to the kidnap and they treat Carmina quite well. She witches about the bed, what a dump the place is, yadda, yadda.
Meanwhile, back on the street, Tifon is beyond upset as is every one else. Tifon wants to call the cops but the family talks him out of it, convinces him to go home to wait by the phone, and poor little Agatha, thinks about her Mama and all the danger she is in. They call Jorgito who comes too. The women pray the rosary for Carmina's safe return and Nina sends another note to Tifon, saying that the whole kidnap scheme is a fake for money. What an epi!
I'm really puzzled by Leticia's overreaction to Blanca/Victoria. Does she think the girl looks like someone she knew? Does she just react to strangers like that? I noticed a change in the opening credits so maybe she isn't who we thought she was. In any event the three boys are suspicious and I don't think Ed has told them about their missing cousin. Hilarious that they thought gramps had a lover and brought her into the house.
The question is was Valentina psycho and then put in the "sanitarium" or is she so medicated after 20 years that she is a bit off. I will say I love how Sofia reacts to her sitting with her and soothing her by stroking her hair and telling her Blanca is a friend. That is one wise and sweet little girl Hmmm she can't possibly be Raquel's granddaughter or Mariana daughter. LOL
Jeez Eduardo has a short fuse going off on Blancoria for her "betrayal" of a confidence. Just wait until he finds out who and what she really is.
So cheating Karina gets caught in the act and by the priest and blabbermouth Simona as well. Chalk up one friendship down the drain.
I don't see how Leticia could be Valentina. Didn't they already say there had been an autopsy that showed she'd died from an accident, but Adriano wanted another one. Sure, faked body, big bucks, I get that. But this is a member of the immediate family. Wouldn't there at least have been a photo of her somewhere that would reveal that the mentally deranged woman is the same person?
I'm leaning toward Leticia being drugged for decades in the nuthouse to keep her quiet and that she really is the housekeeper's daughter.
It's Teresa's birthday! I like the gift of the house she got from Oleg. He really loves her, but doesn't want to show it. That party was nice but Teresa didn't like all the photo taking.
Teo is finally out of the hospital and telling Eugenia she will give him a divorce and he's changing his will to make the girls his heirs and that's it. Eugenia of course isn't happy. I think she gets a stipend or something.
While Teo was in the hospital he gave Teresa heck for getting rid of Garou and his Marseille Mafia. Couldn't she just get along. I am glad that Teresa gave him some truths about that. Later Pote takes a pillow and snuffs out the life of Garou.
Veronica/Lupe is really pushing her luck. Listening at doors, flirting with Alberto. I think Alberto is on to her. I'm glad he downloaded all that stuff from Eugenia's phone and they have the proof that Eugenia conspired with Eddy to get rid of Teo. Juarez isn't happy that Teresa won't do anything about Eugenia. Also Flores coming to see Teresa, que????
I just knew Willy had a soft spot for Teresa as he toasts her picture at the office on her birthday and the flashback he had about her, in the plane dissing Guero. Willy is very misty for Teresa, and Flores just doesn't get it. He wants Teresa locked up forever and ever.
At Teresa's party Teo gives her a necklace and tells her he is divorcing Eugenia and he'll be free no commitments. I still don't like this guy, especially after what he said to her in the hospital. I think there is still something off about him.
Now Alberto knows that Patty, Conejo and Teresa were all in prison thanks to Veronica and her big mouth. Patty sure was speechifying at the party. Veronica is very jealous. I think she has completely fallen for Patty.
It was good to see Epifanio again, but sucks to be him. He doesn't get the support to run for President, but will handle the other guy's campaign. Ratas of course has to remind Epifanio he isn't getting any younger. Epifanio is so fed up with him. Then Batman comes and meets with Epifanio and tells him Ratas wants to take out the other candidate. Hmmmmm.......
Oh, and the Pernas finally are caving and would rather do bidness with Teresa than be her enemy at least Joaquin does. Siso is still pithed.
Neice:
I so agree with your assessment of Teresa. She has really come into her own hasn't she? She is more self assured and can do a deal in a minute. She is very business savvy. Makes you wonder if she had had working capital how she would have done in the business world, out side of the drugs. I really thinks she would have done well, especially with her head for numbers.
I didn't see who Pote snuffed out but my question was answered, Garou.
Why now though, was he talking too much? Was he in a hospital?
Variopinta- when Pote broke Garou's spine but let him live, part of the deal was that he didn't talk, but Garou told Flores la Mexicana did this to him, and now Flores no longer has a witness to testify against her.
DecieGirl: I love "Blancoria"! Yes I did think at the New Years party someone mentioned an autopsy of Valentina...but isn't Adriano planning on exhuming the body for further proof of foul play?
Anyway it's interesting that the credits for the Letitia character have changed, I guess in that case she could be anybody. Is this a clue that the writers are changing tack already?
J in Oregon
According to the criteria set forth by Leleco's policeman friend, Max should also be a suspect. He is part of the family and he keeps disappearing. I thought I saw a glimpse of a suspicious look on Ivana's face.
Carmina cracked me up at the beginning of the fake kidnapping: "I only sleep on Egyptian cotton!" And more than one of them commented, "If I were married to her I wouldn't pay the ransom!"
Can anyone tell me what happened with Suelen? I lost the video when she was on. Was her ex after her?
I haven't mentioned this before but Ivana's baby-talk is stomach turning. No wonder Max wants out.
So now nosy Simona who I've decided to call the Snoop sister goes through Jorge's things and discovers who he is. One impostor soon to be outed or will she try to blackmail him for money. Of course cheater Karina now knows it as well.
Blancoria was smart to install Jorge in the house not only as a watch dog but because she would then know where he was and wouldn't be shocked if he actually went to his family home. On the other hand the two of them may have to rely on each other when the truth about either one of them comes out.
The mystery woman. I'm still thinking it is Valentina because wasn't there a scene early on where Raqevil went to the sanitarium and told her your name is Leticia? Say it.
Another thing bugging me is that Blancoria told Adriano that there was a strange woman in the house and she thought it was Valentina. He didn't even ask her what the woman looked like and she didn't ask him if he had a picture of Valentina. You'd think he'd want to know. Also isn't it odd that there are no pictures in the big house of the dear dead Valentina?
Jeez i hope Mariana isn't spreading her "charms" Adriano's way.
Two points to Sofia for being smart enough not to like Mariana and for recognizing that something is wrong with Leticia who was happy one day and sad the next.
All caught up, but I'm a little fuzzy on something. Does Adriano think Mariana could be helpful? Did I hear that right? I'm often trying to get through more than one episode a day and the telemundo app puts up the episodes in 5 segments. It makes it feel like an eternity and sometimes I zone out and miss subtleties...and obvious stuff, too. -_-
I'm still loving this show, but...
Is is just me or is Adriano throwing out a "playa" vibe?
Is is just me or did Eduardo change his tune IRT Blancoria?
(LOL at the name)whiplash fast? One minute he's yelling about her being a lying liar with a lover the next minute he wants to kiss her and then asks for help with Sofia.
Is everyone just a little too willing to open up to strangers? Ramon goes to see Catalina about a photog gig and he's telling her all about catching his girl with Jorge? (BTW-I'm team Ramon/Catalina.) Not to mention Eduardo telling Blancoria about Valentina.
Does no one find the scarred thug that hangs out in Raquevil's office suspicious?
I hope someone finally figures out that Leticia is drugged up.
Is Telemundo already changing course? They were pretty "spoilery" about some things and now it seems they are back pedaling.
Sara, your comments were very insightful.
Adriano did mention enlisting Mariana, somehow, in his campaign. Don't think he has a clue she's Una Muñeca de la Mafia. But I agree with the "playa" vibe. One of the two women who help him, one with a sleek black bob, and the other looking a bit older and well padded, mentioned something about his having lots of lovers but only ever loved Valentina. And he's definitely interested in Mariana more than as just an ally. He spent enough time with her to actually ruin a meeting Blanca had scheduled with the Altamiras (wasn't online to give her the script about the investment in their company).
I thought the same thing about Eduardo, very suspicious and, of course, somewhat jealous. And the next minute he's SO over it and wanting her to help with Sofia's meeting with her evil mother.
I don't like this novela as much as the rest of you, but haven't given up yet. I'm getting bored with all the times someone from el barrio almost sees Blanca in her role as Victoria. Last night was particularly annoying as it meant that Blanca had to disappoint that delightful child and doubtless cause Eduardo to think she's a real jerk.
And I too think Adriano is suddenly looking like a playa which I don't like. From the beginning his only motive was to get justice for his OTL and now we have him making moves on a couple of women which seems away from his original character.
He does think that Mariana can be useful but for all his investigating of everyone he hasn't done due diligence on her. He at this point thinks she is nothing more than Ed's ex. However when he gets the results of the checking out of Ricky he may find out that Mariana is a gun runner and not much help.
Those previews SEEMED to show that he learns who his child is or gets a good lead. But previews are notorious for sucking us into something that is a red herring.
I liked the Ramon Catarina (jeez why two names that sound so much alike) combo and it would serve wimp boy Chris right. I don't think he really loves Catrina anyway and Diego is right to be watching him.
Raqevil's thug is scary and she has him getting ready to check out Memo's family which might not only reveal who Blancoria really is but also Jorge's secret life.
I hope Telemundo has not started mucking around with what looked to be a good story and their spoilery things may only have been a device to suck us in and they've got me at the moment cause i can be gone in a New york moment if it goes off course.
Good run-down everybody. Decie--about the Valentina-Raquel confrontation in the sanitarium, I dissected the convo last week. Raquevil (I like that) never made her --say it-- referring to her name Leticia. She addressed her as Leticia when she arrived then warned her never to say anything other than--Valentina died in an accident, SAY IT, and Leticia reluctantly repeats it without much enthusiasm.
Letty must have had something very incriminating to Raquel to do with the disposal of the bebe and that's why Raquel has gone to such lengths to keep her segregated and drugged from anybody she could talk to. (Shades of MEPS)
So, Leonidas still has some sway in the household, i.e. bringing Letty to the family compound. He'd better watch his back, his food and his beverages. I wouldn't put it past Thuggo or Raquevil to put him out of commission.
I can't believe we have a Blanca is mi hija revelation so soon, but I also thought I heard Adriano say that in the avances. Will have to wait and see.
Meanwhile, Fernanda is making a play for him, but he's only mildly tepid in his interest. The Mariana pitch is surely a ploy and not a play to gain her confidence. Will have to wait and see!
Meanwhile, despicable-but-gorgeous George unwittingly ruins a warm fuzzy Eddie-Sofie-Vickie moment before the anvil falls on her via Mariana.
How many times will Blanca be able to pull off an ooops, have a meeting, gotta run trick.
I'll swear I didn't understand the "meeting" they were having at the Naviera office when Victoria learned Adriano hadn't showed up yet and had to excuse herself. Why did he need to show up? Why didn't she have the documentation she needed in advance? The IT guys were there and so were the advisors (I think the MBA was there).
The next thing I saw was Victoria pouring herself some coffee at the company snack bar and no more meeting? Ed & Mama discussed their suspicions of her while she was out of the room, but Ed still asks her to help him with Sofia, because she likes Victoria.
Ah, telenovelaland. Eduardo goes into Vic's hotel room and he picks up the only book in the room and voila, a newsclipping of him and his mom is buried inside the book. It would have been more believable and creepy if Eddie had seen other things about the family lying around--but easily explained later, as Victoria needed background info on them before investing in the company.
Wonder what Karina will do now with her ill-gotten new knowledge, hehe.
I have not watched many Telemundo shows. I started DyO and let it go, but it went circo pretty quick...but it was still charming and entertaining in its way. I also started Santa Diabla, and it's crazy right now. I'm assuming the middle bits weren't that crazy. I didn't watch them, but I get the impression that LRDS and LP stayed on track.
I hope this one stays on track. If not, I hope it doesn't get stupid. Maybe that's going to be my curse: every Telemundo show I watch goes to pot. (My Univision curse is extensions or two hour episodes.)
Jorge - you entitled ass. caught but Padre let you stay over and though Blanca has motive been taken in by another. You have the audacity to expect forgiveness from Ramon? please
Ramon - and you gave the punk a place to live
Karina - principles? you ain't got any and we'll see how much you dislike rich folk since your cheating won you a rich guy lottery
Catarina - you'll be available soon and I give you my blessing should Ramon catch your eye
Eduardo - what? ask Victoria to help butter up your daughter so Mariana can eat her
Adriano - Mariana? Say what?
Victoria - I don't care who you are. If you gave me so many lame excuses (and I mean lame) you would be done
Blanca - so you let the guy that participated in the very public humiliation of a friend move in, Nice
Some of this is getting just plain stupid. Oh, look out someone might see Blanca dressed as Victoria has worn out it's welcome.
Just a reminder that we don't talk about previews/avances here because some people consider them spoilers,
I know it's different with the Univision shows. But Telemundo has a habit of giving so much away (or misleading the audiences with "It was just a dream" previews) that we decided not to talk about them here.
So pretty please -- no more talk about previews, ok?
Novelera said:
"I'm getting bored with all the times someone from el barrio almost sees Blanca in her role as Victoria."
I'm not bored with it, I'm just wondering how long they can keep it up. I can't fathom 100 episodes of near misses. So really it's more like I'm amazed the writers didn't think ahead and maybe make Blanca have to go to a different town to be the Impostora. Then again, there could have been no New Year's Eve kiss.
I know I'm in the minority, but my heart goes out to Cristobal. He just wants to feel useful/loved. Too bad he's kind of dull.
I can't decide who I hate more: Mariana or Simona.
Sara, I usually am a Telemundo girl-MPV is my first Uni TN because it seemed like a Telemundo TN.
Santa has been nuts from the beginning but LP was a great TN to me because it was consistent in the message and had great editing. Whoever edited it should get a prize because nothing was filler or wasted.
The thing that jars me about Uni tns are the weird pastiche way scenes are put together, as if they can be used for multiple purposes for whatever locura the writers decide. In LP, the editing gave you the sense that the TN had been planned for years with a determined outcome. There was only one EP I recall that broke that mold, and it was where they finally decided the prota and galan would end up together and it was obvious that they reshot scenes to set it up properly-the cinematography looked different and they put in a scene to explain that even though the galan had been stupid, the prota was always gonna be hopelessly in love with him-which, as clunky as it was, showed the writers respected the viewers enough to explain a turn in direction.
I hope LI doesn't go to pot either I love the filming locations-as evil as Raquel is, I loved that scene with her and the governor on his yacht -she looked gorgeous in that creme linen outfit with the fedora with that jade-colored water as a backdrop.
I'm bothered by the Clark Kent/Superman act Blancoria has to do-I can't suspend my disbelief that long.
"...the editing gave you the sense that the TN had been planned for years with a determined outcome."
I've been in and out with Santa Diabla, but one thing that struck me is that even through the crazy, it seemed like it was planned. I could be wrong. I get what you are saying though. I love your observation about respecting the viewer because sometimes Televisa is downright insulting (I'm looking at you CI...and MPV is pushing it right now, too.)
I dislike Simona more. Her envy has turned to hate and headed toward wrath.
Mariana, though I believe ruthless, acts like this ain't her first rodeo and wise folk should stay out of her way.
Though I know this unpopular my turd award goes to Gorgeous Jorge. I see no redeeming quality at all, he has no talent, no job and just lays around all day and heads to moms house for supper and bet laundry.
But, but....
Jorge is so pretty.
Speaking of whiplash inducing attitude changes: I bet Simona will be more than happy to have Jorge in her house now that she knows he's an Altamira. She still assumes they are rich, right? The sinking shipping business is not public knowledge, is it?
Oh, yeah. Simona will be all up in his grill
I don't think the public knows they are on the brink of bankruptcy. However, not so sure Simona would understand big house, nice car, nice clothes, well connected but no money.
Well "Victorianca" finally makes it to a meeting with Raquevil, but her laptop is crashing. She excuses herself to go to the "tocador" (powder room?), then runs into Eduardo; they continue their confrontation, then wander outside. Meeting? What meeting???
Meanwhile back in the boardroom, the IT guys say the company has been "hackeado" (I love that word!).
Also, anyone notice the book containing the photo in Victorianca's hotel room was an etiquette book on how to have high-class manners. Guess Eduardo didn't pick up on that.
I liked the chemistry between Catalina and Ramon. But as someone commented that these people are awfully quick to blab their secrets to strangers.
Also, I think Adriano was trying to intervene with Mariana to see if she knows anything about the mysterious baby that got given away.
J in Oregon
"hackeado" (I love that word!)
I love it, too! Well, once I figured it out. Like I said, I kept zoning in and out and I heard "hackeado", but my mind saw "jaqueado" so it took me a minute. I was like "why are they talking about chess?"
Maybe I shouldn't have admitted that in public.
Sue: I didn't catch who that guy was to Suelen, but it seems like she owes him money. Leo was following her when she met up with the shady guy and gave him money(Leo's money that he gave Suelen). He jumped in and fought off shady guy when he started mistreating Suelen. She didn't give Leo an explanation. I don't think they revealed yet what's up with her and shady guy.
I found Carlitos' and his two families colliding pretty funny. Especially when he was badmouthing "Dudu" and Tomas to stop family #1 from associating with them. Since this is Tnland, I give him a pass on his actions, more so because I just see this story line as comedic & Carlos kind of boyishly charming.
The kidnapping scenes were intense. I could of smacked Leleco and Ivana for allowing Max to find out about the second note, and warning the kidnappers.
Can't wait to see what Nina tells Jorgito on mon.'s episode, Love those two together!
jlk
The whole kidnap scheme has gone haywire. They even took a picture of Carmina all "beaten up" and sent it to the family. Then it goes horribly wrong when that cop buddy of Leleco goes and storms the kidnap place with his men and it all goes quickly south. I like when this guy duck taped Carmina's mouth shut and told her to deal. It was for real now. Max even came to visit her, before it went south so quickly.
Now the family suspects that poor Nina had something to do with this kidnapping, especially Muricy and ZeZe. Nina is even questioned by that cop buddy of Leleco's to see if he can trip her up, but nopis, she doesn't bat an eye and even gives her alibi. I am worried for Nina though, cause she always uses the excuse of her very sick Mama, and one of these days someone is going to check. Jorgito already knows that Nina has no Mama and that she goes to see Mama Lucinda, when she's supposedly visiting her Mama in the hospital.
Now Jorgito goes to the landfill and finds out from Nilo that Nina isn't there and he tells him exactly where she lives and Jorgito goes there. Nina lets him in and I too am curious about what she will say to him.
They haven't mentioned who this guy is that is after Suelen. She is kinda scared of him. The money she gave this guy didn't seem to be enough. I really want to know her backstory. I know she is blackmailing Diogenes isn't she?
JLK:
I too thought it was funny about the Family #1 wanting to meet Family #2 and Carlos sure talked badly about his son didn't he? Now he's hiding in his office while Veronica and Debora visit with Tomas.
Sue455:
I too wondered why no one suspects Max. He is gone more than Nina is. Ivana though may be wondering cause she is always looking for him. I really like how everyone defends Nina though.
Madelaine, your Thursday comments are a great mini-recap. Thanks for refreshing my memory.
Teo getting on Teresa's case about Garou should tell her he's not the one for her. She should just have a little fun and leave it there. On the other hand, Oleg bringing the Mariachis as a surprise and naming the house Las Siete Gotas [Deb, thanks to your links I get the significance] shows he gets everything about Teresa. And that hug said it all.
Veronica has it bad for Patty. Not only was she jealous of Patty waxing poetic about Teresa, she didn't even warm up to Sanchez-Godoy, who tried to hit up Patty. He was funny as hell and the life of the party for me. I just knew he wasn't going to be daunted by Patty's novia status, proposing an international (Colombia-Spain-Mexico) threesome. I'm not saying Veronica should've gone for this, but she could've remembered she's undercover and been friendlier since he talks too much. I think he uses his own product.
Not feeling sorry for Eugenia at all, but I do feel sorry for the guests who will find their cars rammed.
Nobody likes Willy, so I guess I'm in the minority. I don't exactly like him but I do get that he admires Teresa. He's seen her grow from a scared narco-girlfriend to a powerful businesswoman/strategist and he's proud. I also thinks he's lonely and has no life. Unlike Flores, he doesn't seem to have a family.
Yikes, they announced Ultimos Capitulos.
Madelaine: Yes, Suelen is blackmailing Diogenes with photos of them having sex. Roni had found all the photos and deleted them from her computer and phone. He also found the hard copies but Diogenes threw them in the trash without destroying them first. She found them while Leo was in the shower and now she's getting anything she wants. Since I lost the video (though not audio) during a little of Friday's epi I couldn't be sure it was the same guy who was bugging her at the club.
I'm also concerned that they are going to check out Nina's "sick mom" alibi with the hospital because Jorgito actually named a hospital.
jlk: I also laughed at Carlos' antics. You have to admire a guy who can think that fast on his feet.
Até segunda! Until Monday!
I don't think Jorge is entitled at all. He doesn't want what his mother does and is following his own dream. Like Biancoria he is an impostor but he is trying to make it on his own. He has been living in the barrio and only makes appearances at the big house when demanded to do so by his mother since the rest of the time he is "in medical school".
He hasn't used the family money to set up some fancy art studio nor has he traded on his name and social position.
His mistake was falling in love with Karina but even then he kept silent until he had a chat about it with Ed who seem to encourage him to go for what he wanted.
Karina is to blame for the current mess. She was with one guy but apparently secretly lusting after his friend. When he made his first move she could have and should have shut him down — but she didn't. She should have broken it off with Ramon but she didn't. She is coming across as one of those women who wants to have her cake and eat it too. In her apparent effort to avoid hurting one man she hurt two. I liked her in the beginning with her loyalty to Blancoria but now alas she has stepped into slut territory and is no better that Mariana. I wonder what she will do with her new found knowledge of who Jorge really is
Snoopy and Slutty now know something they shouldn't and really can't use it without revealing that they snooped through Jorge's things. Makes for an interesting dilemma no?
DecieGirl: Hahahaha--Snoopy and Slutty! Love it! But you make an interesting point: Jorge and Blanca have both stepped out of their "social class" and are living a double life, and are skating on the edge of discovery. Maybe they should team up and help each other.
J in Oregon
J in Oregon
I think they will have to team up and help each other because all hell is sure to break loose in both their worlds when the inevitable truth comes out. The tricky thing is that Blancoria's is trying to find something that will hurt his family and reveal their dirty little secrets, while his deceit was never meant to hurt anyone.
Snoopy and Slutty--hilarious!
"The tricky thing is that Blancoria's is trying to find something that will hurt his family and reveal their dirty little secrets..."
Which is weird because she was so against breaking her word to Eduardo. I know she really hates Raquevil, but does she think that no one else will be affected by her deceit?
I think I like this show so much because despite what Telemundo may put on their site and regardless of the avances (which I never see because I don't watch "real time") I still don't feel like I know what will happen. I think their are lots of red herrings.
Ramon has been hurt by Blanca's deceit multiple times already. His photos stolen, beat up and she has now housed Jorge rent free, the one that betrayed him.
Blanca showed a little problem with the photos stolen but she has chosen to support Jorge instead of her friend Ramon with no problem.
Man, I hadn't even thought of it that way. I'm so bad about taking everything at face value
GENERAL
Did I read that LRDS is in its final weeks? Will En Otra Piel be replacing it? I want to see that one.
But remind me...does Blanca know that Jorge is one of the Altamirano brothers?
J in Oregon, not paying attention
She knows he is an Altamont, but he only knows her as Blanca. If he were to see her at the mansion her cover would be blown.
Right?
I agree with those of you that think Blanca should enlist Jorge or at least neutralize him if possible
Ramon, no question, is the innocent victim of both Blancoria and Jorge. She was upset with the picture thing and the beating but that pain lies directly on Adriano. I wondered at the time why he didn't just send one of his men to buy the whole exhibit rather than a daylight theft.
Jorge had kept his feelings under control and remained silent until the beach walk. I suspect that nothing more then some light hanky panky went on that time so the inevitable pain that Ramon is suffering began there and with Jorge's actions.
However the single individual responsible for the most pain and disillusionment that Ramon is suffering is Slutty Karina. She and Jorge share guilt for the beach thing but she initiated the scene when they got caught. She went to his room and made the opening moves if I remember. She had control of the situation from the beginning and knew what she was doing was wrong and could only hurt someone. Instead she was selfish and thought only of her own desires.
I don't know if Blancoria's prime motivation for letting Jorge stay with her is to keep him from returning to the Altamiras. He still wants to be an artist and couldn't do that while living at the big house. I think he was just going to try and find a place outside of the barrio. She was smart enough to keep him in the barrio where she would know where he is. She is doing what she is for her father and to help Adriano find his child and unfortunately for Ramon that is taking precedence in her mind over the betrayal by Jorge of her friend and his Ramon.
In the long run we know that Ramon who is one of the good guys will be duly rewarded by the TN Gods for the pain he is now suffering — maybe with a new faithful woman and a boatload of money and fame for his photography,
Because of the misery he is now suffering I've swung around again to the idea that he is Adriano's child and the story about it being a girl ifs a Raqevil lie.
LA IMPOSTORA
I was wondering does Blancoria know what went down between the tormented trio? I don't remember anyone spelling it out for her. Then she would have to choose her loyalty or not since i'm not big on picking sides in romantic disputes.
Jorge is pretty but his mother will rip him to shreds when she finds out he has no plans to be a doctor. He is at once brave enough to try and make it on his own and weak enough not to tell the viper that bred him. One thing I like about this story so far is that most, not all, of the characters are multi dimensional, they are neither all good or all bad. There are some obvious exceptions like Raqevil,
Decie G. Good point about mommie dearest. When she finds out he isn't a doctor she may express her disappointment harshly.
I don't know if Blanca knows as I think about it. I assumed since Simona saw the couple in the act and Jorge was walking forlorn with all his belongings she did. Yeah, picking sides is a can't win. Maybe we'll see tonight.

I was also thinking that Jorge is about to pay dearly for his betrayal. Snoopy and Slutty now know who he is. He told Eduardo that the people in the barrio hated their family and once they know who he is they may turn on him thinking he was mocking them or spying on them. He has already lost his best friend so the hits will keep coming.
For her part Slutty may begin to think he was just using her all along which is a small dose of punishment for her as well.
As for Jorge did her really think he would be able to bring a lower class girl home to snobby mom? And the question of the day is Why would he even want a woman who would cheat on the man who asked her to marry him with his best friend. Poor dude is obviously thinking with his little head.
Can't wait for tonight.
But Karina was trying to help Eduardo hook up with Blanca so she may not be disappointed she bagged a rich one this time.
Simona is the one Jorge had better watch with this tidbit.
Little head indeed.
Tofie:
Your quote, " Starving for ones art and living rent free off another starving artist is easy when you have a rich parent...."
If I remember correctly, Jorge was heading for his motorcycle when he saw a guy waiting for him. He paid him this month's rent as well as next's. So at least until the betrayal, he wasn't living with Ramon rent free.
You are correct I remember the payment now because I thought it odd he had that motorcycle but very poor
