I missed the meaning of Teresa's house.

General
I've seen some promos of Reina de Corazones and it looks really good.

La Impostora
Wow! Reveals that seemed destined for the Gran Finale are already happening! When Tuerto (whose left eyeball seems to randomly come and go) tells Adriano that Memo never gave the baby away, but kept it and raised it himself, Adriano instantly assumed it was Blanca. But it also could have been Slutty Simona.

Is it me, or do all Adriano's associates throw each other guarded looks behind his back? A conspiracy...or cutting edge directing? Fernanda does this often, and I'm still confused about her character.

I really do love the little actress that plays Sofia. One of very few kid actors who seems natural and not annoyingly "cute".
Ditto for the Dobermans.
:o)

LA IMPOSTORA
I just finished watcMariana'ss interesting that there have been so many reveals so early. Red herrings?

Random and unimportant observations:

Tuerto is a useless henchman. Will he be any more effective with Adriano?

Maybe it was just my tablet, but Mariana's hair matched Tuerto's shirt.

Is any self-respecting career girl going to wear a big ol' bow in the back of her shirt? And why is Fernanda's wig so hideous? (I hope it's a wig!)

Simona's "boobies will solve all my problems" attitude is hilarious. I'm tuning in as much for that as the main story!

Karina has got to lose the braids.

J in Oregon- I like Sofia, too. She's doing a great job without being sickeningly sweet or annoyingly precocious.

LA IMPOSTORA

Well thank you tablet for making a hot mess of my comment. That should be
"I just finished watching last night's episode. It's interesting how there have been so many reveals so early."

La Impostora

Simona - like you really have a shot

Fernanda - at least you get the job done and don't dilly dally

Blanca - who's your daddy, get a DNA test

Victoria - bumbling boob how would anyone take you serious?

Jorge - you'll get a pass don't worry

Karina - insincerity fits so wear it

Adriano - the enemy of my enemy is my friend

Tuerto - way over paid

AVENIDA BRASIL Seg.-feira

The kidnap is finally over! I had to laugh though when Max thought he'd rescued her himself, but got kidnapped again, and the police buddy of Leleco rescues Carmina. On Friday's capitulo I was surprised when Max mentioned to Carmina that there was suspicion of Nina being involved with the kidnap and Carmina told Max she didn't want Nina blamed for anything. She's a good girl she said. Hmmmmmm...... I thought it was ironic when Carmina is finally home and she asks for a kiss from Nina. Nina looked like she was going to hurl.

Nina and Jorgito are going to have a hard time staying away from each other. I was surprised that Jorgito asked why Nina came back to Brasil. She tells him she loves him. I wonder if she will ever tell Jorgito the other reason.

Is Suelen having some real feelings for Leandro? She called herself a ho and a vagabond, could she have been a lady of the night before she came to Diogene's clothing store? Is that guy who slapped her her former pimp? I wonder........

Silas and Mona Lisa finally getting married? They have been going together a long time. And she asked him, lol.

REINA Viernes y Lunes

Eugenia smoozing with the hoi polloi at that party and that politician that wants to get to know Teresa, hmmmm........ Eugenia sure knows a lot of powerful people. Then she gets hit upside the head with that saved convo of the cell phone with Eddy and she talking about bumping off Teo. Teo now knows what really happened. And Eugenia's turn into crazy town.

Eugenia was really scary when she got home and then Teo comes home, Eugenia's cut her feet on broken glass and he sees blood, goes to their bedroom and she's in bed with her girls. Creepy! I am glad that Teo got them to go to the Grandparents. They don't need to be there.

Oleg sure is worried that Eugenia will spill the frijoles.

Sanchez Godoy and Patty and then he wants Veronica to join them. Now we know Veronica is in love with Patti and wants out. Willy and his story of losing his son. Now Veronica is stuck so to speak and will continue on. This can't be good.

That meeting with the Pernas. Joaquin seemed okay but Siso not so much. You can feel and see the hate he has for Teresa. Can't wait to see how this meeting goes.

Teresa was really reminiscing last night. About El Guero, about Santiago. I did like her little celebration with Pote. The music was good and Pote and Teresa drinking tequila like best buddies. Pote gave her the St. Malverde prayer card and how it had protected him all these years and now it was for her protection. She sure misses Mexico. I think she's homesick.

And then the ending with Flores, Martin, Teo and Eugenia when they come to arrest her. I didn't expect what happened afterwards to happen.

Variopinta:

The name La Casa De Siete Gotas, means Seven Drops, and it has something to do with Mexico. I didn't catch what that was. Maybe Neice did.

LA IMPOSTORA

Yowza who saw that coming. In any event for now I'm taking the reveal at face value. Tuerto who I prefer to call Evil eye says he just does what he does for money. OK so he knows that 20 years ago Memo was given the baby and kept it for himself. How does he know this and does Raquel or Leo know it as well hence firing him and then trying to kill him? Since this is supposed to be Acapulco it makes sense that the Altamiras wouldn't know much about the families of their serfs make that employees. But if the older ones knew about Memo you'd think they would be curious and have some idea what the child looked like. SMH.

Raqevile told Evil Eye to investigate Memo's family making me think she doesn't know about Blanca.

Snoopy now starts to look like Slutty Jr making the move on a horrified Jorge. Snoopy who wants money and the good life and will do anything to get it can't be Adriano's because as she has said repeatedly she is 18 and unless poor Valentina has the gestational time of an elephant it would be impossible.

Not to go too far into crazyland because every TN has a load of WTH moments — we have a running gun battle through the streets by two people in cars and nobody calls the cops and there is so little traffic it can happen in the first place. I know it is in dangerous Guerrero but pleeze.

I'm beginning to wonder what kind of costume department they have at Telemundo. Putting the galan in shocking pink pants that even i wouldn't wear, putting Blancoria in a green dress that looked like something a 40 year old matron might wear and for good measure giving her a cheap plastic looking purse that reminded me of the clear ones the kids put their school stuff in when i lived in Mexico. Then of course the hideous green and pink number Mariana wore matching one from Telemundo. Come on guys the sets and scenery are gorgeous, step up the wardrobes.

Deb:

Thanks so much once again for the links you put up. They are always so helpful to find the recaps. Thanks again!

REINA

Variopinta and Madelaine - From the original comments, Las Siete Gotas is the name of Teresa's old neighborhood in Culiacán, Sinaloa. Apparently, this is more fleshed out in the book than it is in the TN.

La Impostora

Decie Girl I agree. The whole show last night was silly and for a millionaire that handbag would be Hermes not Reaction

On what planet would someone like Simona think she had a shot with Jorge

The conversation between Eduardo and Victoria over being caught in Leticia's room

Karina being pissed at Jorge for not being truthful he was rich

Jorge right behind Victoria and nothing

Car chase and gun play and at the end they are parked quietly on a side street when in Espana Mariana beat several guys down

Fernanda waltzing in as a reporter to alert them of hackers

Adriano beating Tuerto in the basement and anyone could wander in

Only person that pulled off credible was Sofia

Come on Telemundo try harder

LA IMPOSTORA
indeed Socorro did just walk in. Lol. Add Blanca 's oddly colored fingernail polish to the list. It's corpse flesh colored in my opinion. Definitely lots of weak points, but I'm still entertained. I am really waiting for En Otra Piel and Reina de Corazones. I'll stick with this one if I still feel entertained, but I can easily defect if the other two shows are better.

LA IMPOSTORA

Did I not say from the start that the (supposedly rich/wealthy) women's wardrobe/accessories look cheap; not befitting their status?

LA IMPOSTORA
lol. You did. I'm also wishing she held herself more like someone with status. Her walking style is not at all rich and powerful. If there is such a walking style.

La Impostora

you did and it started with the price tag from TJ Max still on her shoes

She better start studying that Etiquette book in her hotel room

LA IMPOSTORA

Sara/tofie - glad you mentioned her demeanor too. what kind of impostara is she? I am lol!!! and yeah, doesn't seem like she picked up anything from the etiquette book.

LA IMPOSTORA

I think part of Blancoria's problem may be her coaches. She didn't get a lot of it and it is being driven by men who wouldn't notice things like the tag on the shoe or the cheap looking purse. I will say that the way she hangs onto the handbag reminds me of a little old lady. Now Socorro might not know better but you'd think Fernanda would. Then again Fernanda masqueraded as a reporter with a ghastly blouse with a gigantic bow on her a** so maybe nobody but Raqevil and Viewerville are noticing all the things that are off.

Thinking about the etiquette book that Eddie the flip flopper didn't noticed many people outside the US think we all have gross manners so since she "grew" up in the states had he noticed it it might not have sent off alarm bells.

La Impostora

Great comments on the wardrobe malfunctioning. Call her cheap knock-off style. Domingo is supposed to be an expert in make-up and fashion, but all he's been able to do is put on thick eye-liner and lipstick.

You all know I've been kvetching about her "luke" as Victoria, the Stateside high-powered business woman. As a sophisticated woman, you'd think Domingo would at least have her in a swept back hairstyle (but no headband, pleeeze).

Eduardo has every right to wonder and be suspicious of what Victoranca's interest in this lost bebe is, but he keeps letting it slide, even when she doesn't have a coherent answer. Shame on him. He must already be in love. Is he going to choose Blanca or Victoria, neither seem like a good catch right now.

ITA that Sofia is the best child actor to come along in a good long time. Hugo should have been a little older and a little more experienced--he always seems to be reciting his lines.

LA IMPOSTORA
I wonder if the heavy liner is still L'Oréal can push their product even when there is no "time to put on makeup" scene.

Speaking of who will he choose-he hasn't even mentioned Blanca in a while. Sofia seems more interested in finding her than he is.

La Impostora

Victoria - daughter likes her but says she is rich so mamma likes her, really nosy, not punctual, frequently a no show. lies all the time (but badly so at least you'll know) and can't walk in heels.

Blanca - daughter likes her but poor so mamma won't, disappears for long periods and when you meet with her incognito, a good kisser, lies all the time (but badly so at least you'll know) but lives with your brother.

LA IMPOSTORA

I agree that the little actress playing Sofia is adorable and one of the best to come along in a while. I would also include the equally adorable little guy from Refugio and most recently PSMA. Talented both of them.

The other thing about Sofia is that she is written as a fully realized child not just as a convenient device to move part of the story. She likes both sides of Blancoria obviously recognizing the loving side of the character. Children are extremely perceptive and can spot a fake in a shot hence her dislike of Mariana. I also like how she immediately took to Leticia talking calmly to her and soothing her. Very mature for an eight year old.

Fill me in somebody. Exactly why is Mariana so eager to get in good with Eduardo. She doesn't really care about her own child. Do the gunrunning mafiosos want to have better access to the port? I can't figure out what the deal is.

LA IMPOSTORA
It's my understanding that Mariana has promised the gun runners access to the Altamira naviera (and thus, ships for gun running.) I assume she thinks that getting back with Eduardo and claiming her child would give her an in to the company. She told Richie (head runner) that she just needed a month. She's quite full of herself. "Hey, I abandoned you and the baby, but lets start where we left off Eddie baby."

LA IMPOSTORA

Sara - thanks I thought it was probably something like that. She certainly is full of herself, Eddie, Chris, Diego, Rafa, Adriano and the list keeps on coming. Guess her "charms" don't work on Ricky and the gun runners. Of course if you look at the competition she is facing, Snoopy, passive Katrina, Blancoria who is consistently dressed like a frump you can't blame her. LOL

LA IMPOSTORA
Since we are going on about costumes and accessorizes and the like, I am going to be a little racy and say I don't know where Mariana gets off telling Snoopy Slutty Simona to get some boobies.

(Clearly I am fixated on the boobie storyline. I'm embarrassed. Maybe I better think before I post...NAH.)

La Impostora

Not scandalous at all Sara, I thought the same thing about Mariana. Especially Monday night at the mansion, she looked like she was a teenage boy in a dress

LA IMPOSTORA
That's a perfect description of Mariani's figure. Maybe that's why she looked so bad in that green and pink "confection". I'm not an AB fan... Did anyone see how she wore it on LQLVMR? Who wore it best?

LA IMPOSTORA

gotta say..... M Henao.... mmmm mmmm mmmm

AVENIDA BRASIL, Segunda e Terça

Yesterday, after Carmina returned home and really let into Max, I almost felt sorry for him. I said almost. I wish Tifón would get a clue about his wife.

Veronica is now pushing Debora towards...her half brother! Oh Carlos!

Talk about being put on the spot! Nina had to think fast to come up with the banquet idea.

Poor dear. I thought Nina was going to rub the skin off her hands she was washing them so hard after Carmina's massage.

Still waiting to find out how Mama Lucinda is connected. I wonder if she is related to Carmina because Carmina had said that she and Max had grown up in the tiradero.

AVENIDA BRASIL

Yeah, we see who is boss in the carmina/max relationship. She definitely is no wilting flower.

Debora really let her anger loose with Mama Lucinda, wonder if we'll start seeing another side to her.

Nina was put on the spot, but couldn't help but feel bad for Jorgito. Her "banquet" news totally wiped that smile off his face, should be interesting to see what he'll do when he finds out why she really came to Brazil for.

I can't wait for Carmina to find out who Nina really is & that she's the reason Jorgito broke off his engagement. She won't be singing her praises then...

Can anyone tell me what Max and Nina were talking about in the kitchen? My viewing got interrupted, so missed most of the conversation. Just heard something about the Caribbean.

jlk

AVENIDA BRASIL

JLK:

They were talking about some deal Max was making with a football club. It's supposed to be worth a bunch of moola. I don't know about the Caribbean maybe going on a trip there or something. I didn't catch it either.

AVENIDA BRASIL Terca-feira

So Nina has stolen the ransom money. Who knew? And gave it to Mama Lucinda who wants to get rid of it. I saw glimpses of Nina taking it, but wasn't sure. Jorgito wants Nina to quit her job and be with him. He wants her out of that house.

I wonder what Max was up to talking to Nina about if she had money, where would she go? And why does she continue to work for low pay with a family when she could make so much more elsewhere. Interesting.

Carlos just won't quit will he? He promises Alexia things, Noemia things and Veronica things. I too laughed when Veronica was pushing Debora towards Tomas.

I was really surprised that Jorgito broke it off with Debora. And Nina wanting to talk to him later. He is mad at Nina right now too.

I was really shocked that Debora was so physical with Mama Lucina. Pushing her around, demanding to know if Jorgito was involved with someone from the Tiradero from his past. I like it that Mama Lucinda took a broom to her and made her go.

Well, if Nilo is Max's bio Dad, this is just a guess, not a spoiler, could it be that Mama Lucinda is Carmina's bio Mom? Now that would be interesting to say the least. I too want to know what the relationship is with them.

AVENIDA BRASIL, Terça

JLK: Max asked Nina if she had money and could go anywhere in the world, where would she go? She told him the Caribbean.

Max and Carmina's discussion involved money, of course. She told him that Tifón was giving her money to remodel their beach house and that she would have access to it.

LA IMPOSTORA
All right. There has to be more to it than this. I think it's way too early for the hija reveal if that was the point of the whole show. Have they been stringing us along? Sorry. I'm still not convinced Blanca is the missing hija.

Adriano tells Blanca Raquevil is behind Memo's accident.

Memo hasn't died which makes me think he's being kept around so he can wake up and tell the real truth (that being that Blanca is not the real bebé.)

Jorge is on to his mom.

Tuerto is now team Adriano, but Raquevil is on to him.

Raquevil is letting Mariana have her way for now, but Eddie is suspicious and threatening to leave.

Leticia has been detoxed and tells Eddie to check the safe. Did she say niñO or niñA? I ask only because if she doesn't know, then I'm thinking she can't be Valentina.

Tita wants Blanca to start taking charge of the family and stop being gone so much.

Cristobal kisses Mariana. Later he agrees to talk to Rafa about employment at the naviera.

LA IMPOSTORA
Oh and Karina hates imposters.

La Impostora

I only want to know what Ed will find in the safe and do not believe anything until then. There is a lot of duplicity here.

Bored with the whole Mariana/Ed/Christobal/Raquel/Rafa thingie and if Adriano "orders" Blanca to do something again I'll scream.

Well at least there is a new "masseuse" that should liven things up.

Finally I watched all my missing episode: 9-10-11.cap were brutal good. I enjoyed them!

But is it serious Blanca is the daughter of Adriano? For me is a bit odd, because Lissette Morelos is 35 years old and she wouldn't be believable character, who is in his early 20's.
I thought Raquel lied when she said, Valentina has a daughter. I am so confused.

LA IMPOSTORA
I'm beginning to wonder if they even thought ahead enough with the characters. The Cris/Mari/Rafa thing is a good example. Yeah they needed someone in the Altamira family to be sympathetic to Mariana, but now that R'evil overplayed her cards Mariana doesn't need him anymore. IMHO Cris just became expendable. We don't need him anymore. Rafa probably needs to be at the naviera for Mariana and Ricky so once he gets the job from Cris, Cris really becomes useless.

Same kind of goes for Fernanda and Socorro. Do we really need them? Oh and fashion coach is really useless.

LA IMPOSTORA
Don't worry about being confused AlejoP. I think the writers are throwing red herrings at us and sending us on wild goose chases.

BTW did I hear correctly? Did Mari make a veiled threat about Sofi's safety? Egads this boy-shaped gal is a beyotch.

La Impostora

I think Jorge will ride to the front and defeat the bad guys with his gorgeous smile and good looks. He already is going to enlist Fernanda and a good wail at mommie dearest.

"boy-shaped gal" love it Sara

LA IMPOSTORA
Jorge is a character I would like to see them make better use of. Just lose the "I want to focus on my art" garbage. I want him to join forces with Adriano and Blanca. Less wimp. More tough.

REINA Lunes

When Pote avoided answering Teresa about El Güero’s murder, he said something about bajo. I don’t know what this meant and I like Pote so I’m probably just trying to give him an out on the terrible things he’s done. But when he shot at Teresa ages ago when she jumped from the building, he seemed to deliberately aim at too low an angle and glad she escaped to me. But then, he did help kill Teresa’s friends and godchildren.

Don’t know what to think about Canejo and Alberto. Of all Teresa’s team, Alberto is the most innocent and the one I’d hate to see go down. Canejo, teasing a man about your past murders isn’t exactly an aphrodisiac.

I thought Eugenia had nerves of steel, but I guess not.

Loved Pernas and son sitting down for a meeting with Teresa. If looks could kill.

La Impostora

Decie--Sara got it right re: Mariana's interest in the naviera for running guns. It came about when she was about to be thrown over the roof by Rick and the Mafioso in the very first episode (I think). She thought it up on the spot as an advantageous enterprise for them. She promised to get inside the naviera (in return for her life) to make it easier for the traffickers to do their trafficking. She asked for 30 days. I guess she thought Eddie would be an easy conquest.

Sara--About Sofia's safety. It was Rick who initially told her in her "meet" with him (where Adriano took her picture) that if she didn't do something quick, he would take it into his own hands, i.e. kidnap Sofia and then the family would be putty in his hands. Too bad he doesn't know Raquevil is dispuesta to get rid of her own granddaughter. Maybe Mariana is now warming to the idea.

Yes, it's too early for a reveal, but they can complicate it with Blanca refusing to back down (as ordered) because 1) she wants to bring Raquevil down for causing Memo's accident and 2) she still pines for Eduardo.

I thought I heard Leticia say nino, too. She can't be Valentina because of her reaction to Victoria. Valentina would not have known what the baby looked like as an adult. Leticia would have been creeped out to see someone who looked like Valentina, as she remembered her. They were great friends. Another slip of the writers and set decorators--as someone mentioned earlier--*Why* no pictures of Valentina around. Surely Leonidas would have wanted some reminders, but....

Eddie is the oldest. Surely he might have remembered his aunt being around and then dying. He acts like she's someone he never knew.

Yes, Mariana looked pretty flat herself in that tight, white dress. If she had more to show, they would have put her in an inappropriately low-cut dress that she could bulge out of. Hmmm. Case of the pot calling the kettle black?

Well, those are my 2 cents for the day.

La Impostora

so Adriano lets Tuerto go, with the promise to protect Victoria, what?, and the first thing he does is get his new hit list from Raquel, and grabs the convenient nurse Francisca (who tipped Jorge that his mom was in on Memo's accident) but Raquel uses the term "disappear" so I'm waiting to see if he killed her.

and didn't Leticia say that she was better because Tuerto hadn't been around with the meds, huh, Eduardo goes right past it, but anyway about...

AVENIDA BRASIL

Thks Madelaine & Sue for filling in the holes.

Yeah, Nina got some of the money from the kidnapping. When they were exchanging the money for Carmina, Max secretly hid about half of the money under a dumpster & planned to grab it later. But Nina had followed them, saw him do that, and got there first. I have a feeling that her having that much money is going to look bad for her later on, no matter that she's saving it for Tifon.

jlk

LA IMPOSTORS

Wow they are throwing stuff at us left and right. The question in my mind is who is the real impostora.

On the surface it is Blancoria but if you look at it there are lots of impostors in this show.

Jorge pretending to be poor.

Cris pretending to be in a loving fiancee while actually chasing after his brothers ex.

Marian pretending to be a loving mother instead of the run running bed hopper she is.

Fernanda pretending to be a journalist to Raqevil and I don't know what to the barrio folk.

Letty who I am convinced still, is Valentina. How would a girl who was only a friend of Valentina know about papers in the safe regrading the child. Also the servant who is her mother doesn't ever seem to be around her, worried about her or protective of her.

The final impostor is Raquel herself who is pretending to be a human being.

I also wonder who Evil Eye is really serving. He followed Raqevil's directive to get rid of the nurse but I suspect he just hid her and told Adriano since there was no way Fernanda and he could have known that the woman disappeared as fast as they did.

Raqevil brings in a new thug and orders him to get rid of (kill) Memo's daughter. That answers the question i had yesterday if she knew that the girl was Adriano's daughter. There is no other reason she would capriciously order Blanca killed.

La Impostora

Generally, when a henchman is asked to make someone "disappear," the one requesting the deed means it literally. In this case, Raquel doesn't ever want to know what happened to the nurse, nor that her corpse ever shows up again to implicate her or her henchman.

The term is probably interchangeable with "kill," but in Memo's case, she wanted it done in a way that left a body and no lingering questions by the family, hence a car accident.

Poor Mariana, her nice car got shot up all along the driver's side. She must have been driving one of those mafia-type iron-clad automobiles. Otherwise, those bullets would have gone right through the door and into her.

It was a bit unbelievable for that car chase to take place in downtown Acapulco and no one noticed what was happening--even after the confrontation on the sidewalk. In this case, Raquel probably didn't care how Mariana got offed. She just wanted her out of the picture.

Blanca is next. Let's see how Tuerto manages that one.

La Impostora
Ooops, my bad, Tuerto is off the case. Adriano had better be alert.

Decie--you are so clever with noting that just about everyone has two faces.

Can we throw in Rafael (pretending to be a business owner), Karina (agreeing to be Ramon's novia and having feelings she followed through on with Jorge) and Simona (when she doesn't hesitate to turn on her sister if it would benefit her).

LA IMPOSTORA

Anita - I forgot about Rafa who is also passing himself off as Mariana's cousin.

I keep thinking that Blanca has to be Adriano's child if they have gone so far as to tell him and for him to tell her. It would seem horrifically cruel to both of them if it turns out to be a lie. Lies play a big part in TN's but i've never seen one that brutal, lying about who the father is yes but this goes too far if it is a lie. Adriano had his life ripped apart 20 years ago and now when he tells Blanca that he is her father it will tear apart her life as she has always known it and her family's as well.

La Impostora
Anita: I, too, noticed the dozen or so bullet holes all thru the car door that Mariana was driving. She would have been Swiss cheese. It was pretty cheezy...and yet, I can't look away. I'm fascinated to see where they take this next. Maybe it will be along the lines of Corazon Valiente, with cascading plot lines rising from the ashes of the preceding plot lines.

And yes, Victoria's wardrobe is pretty awful. Fernanda's bustle-bow takes the prize though!

J in Oregon
J in Oregon

La Impostora

If we believe that Leticia freaked out seeing Victoria because she looked so much like the dead Valentina, then why hasn't Adriano noticed the strong resemblance?

LA IMPOSTORA
Could she have been reacting to the hideous dress and cheap handbag?

J in Oregon I am in the same boat. I can't look away. This one is oddly compelling.

REINA Martes y Miercoles

I have been catching up. Siso Pernas still hates Teresa. His hate oozed all through that meeting, but I think Joaquin will be true to his word. I like how Teresa told him the sea was free. They get the North, she keeps the South.

Eugenia really did kill herself. I thought she would shoot the wall or something to get attention, but she actually killed herself. Teo actually looked sad, but I still don't trust him. I think he is thinking of himself and the scandal of suicide and his girls.

Conejo and Alberto didn't do the deed. He couldn't do the deed with a killer.

Willy lost his son due to his son being involved with narco traffickers and during an operation his drug dealing son was killed. I still don't like the fact he sent Veronica back in and told her to not have feelings. Que????

So now Flores, Martin and Willy have a lot of evidence against Teresa, Teo et. al. Veronica sure got a lot of stuff, and glad Godoy with coy with Veronica. Willy and the boyz still let the drugs come through.

Teo and Teresa were just meh on the boat. Sure he bought it for her, but where did he get the money? And he was talking about having children. I can't see Teresa with children. I keep remembering her escape from Mexico. Imagine if she'd had a child. I don't know.

Veronica is skating on some thin ice. Patty at least is finally suspicious enough to jack her keys and check that locker to see what was in there. Nothing. I wonder if Patty recognized Willy when she saw him with Veronica. He was at Godoy's birthday party in Columbia and Godoy did say he was betrayed before.

It's strange when ever Flores, Martin and Willy talk about all the evidence they have and that it is enough to finally arrest Teresa, cause Willy looks really sad. Like good opponent, but not good enough to evade the law. He actually touched her picture and said he'd miss her. I think he really will if her arrest comes to pass. Flores though is jumping for joy and can't wait to nab her. He is so smarmy.

Neice:

Thanks for the meaning of La Casa de Siete Gotas. About Pote and bajo it kinda sorta means leave the past where it belongs in the past. I don't think he wanted her to dwell on it. I know El Guero's coup de gras was dealt by Ratas. I did forget something. Whenever Willy looks at a picture of El Guero he looks really sad too. I wonder what that means.

Can't wait for tonight to see what happens.

AVENIDA BRASIL Quarta-feira

I missed most of this capitulo. The only thing I saw was Carlos telling Tomas somewhat of the truth about Debora, at least I think that's what Carlos did. I was hoping when Debora drove Tomas home they weren't going to kiss. That would have been a huge ick factor. Is Carlos' shenanigans catching up with him?

I also saw Leandro and Suelen kissing like crazy. I wonder if she has real feelings for him. She seems to.

And finally Nina is with Jorgito, I think at his place, and Debora strolls right in and sees them kissing and says this is who you left me for, the chef? Oi, Oi, Oi!

AVENIDA BRASIL, Quarta

Definitely an Oi-Oi-Oi episode.

Max and Carmina have one of their hot sex sessions. She gives him some money and an expensive watch. She tells him Tifón gave her 200 thousand but later Max learns from Ivana that it was actually 500 thousand. He has a major fit because she isn't sharing all of the money with him. He tells her he's given up a good portion of his life waiting for her to dump Tifón and that she probably never will because she has grown accustomed to being the lady of the house. He can't stand Ivana and threatens to leave. She says that she's saving that money for their future. That calms him down, for now.

Nilo bribes his child-spy with a brand new toy. Spy tells him that Debora and Jorgito have broken up and Nilo comes to the conclusion that Jorgito and Nina are a couple. Later, Lucinda finds out that Nilo knows.

"To prevent a tragedy," Carlos tells Tomás that Débora is his sister. He explains that he had a fling with Veronica at the same time as she was seeing another man and she told him that the baby was his. There was and has been no DNA test. He just accepted her word for it. The next day Carlos leaves Tomas and Noemia to go to Veronica and Debora. Tomas follows him. The maid lets Tomas in and he discovers that Carlos has two families. "Oh what a tangled web we weave..."

And yes Debora catches Jorgito making out with Nina. Can't wait for today's epi.

LA IMPOSTORA:

The wardrobe on this TN is funny. They have Blancoria in tacky clothes when she's supposed to be this hoity-toity type woman while Mariana dresses how Blancoria is supposed to be dressed. I'm just guessing the wardrobe people don't like Lisette or Christian Bach, who also looks weird in some of her clothes.

In La Patrona it seemed they had a shortage in wardrobing funds but they masked it more intelligently. For one thing, they extended certain aspects in the middle of the tn-when the one-eyed doctor went missing, the galan finds out his daughter has luekemia, the leads kissed for the first time after the prota returns into three capitulos occurring over one day so everyone would stay in their same clothes.

They also smartly allowed the villana have a common costume -tights and black boots with a jacket or a shirt intermixed-and made the prota, who also came back as a rich heiress, the widow of a middle eastern sheik, wear the same shift dress but in totally different colors. The shift dress was bought in two jewel tones and in white. This TN was also big on clothes conveying a message and the white shift dress was worn when the prota found out she was preggers by the galan and after she renewed her faith in humanity. So, you can be smart about wardrobe even if you have no money.

The prota never looked cheap as Lisette does as Victoria/Blanca. The only dress I've like so far on Blancoria is the one she wore to he NYE party before she became Victoria and when she was tidying up in the bathroom when she and Eduardo was on the way to the photo exhibit. I thought to myself, 'They need to buy that black dress in three different colors and make that Blancoria's 'uniform'. They also need to buy that torquoise dress Raquel wore to meet Mariana at her apartment in two more colors to make Rauel look sophisticated.

LA IMPOSTORA
It's so fun to have a fellow wardrobe watcher on this show. I've had the same thought about the black dress. Actually I have the same thought every morning when I see the promo pic on the app. Blancoria looks great in those shots.

Mariana is definitely getting the better treatment (excluding the tighty whitey dress from earlier this week.)

Rafa had a great fashion makeover last night!

La Impostora

This is certainly moving at a fast pace, we learn something new every day. The Altamira brothers certainly had a bad day. Mommy a killer no puede ser!

So inepto killer number two who has no idea of what Blanca looks like asks the first person he sees - Snoopy. Snoopy still in snotty mode asks if he is one of Blanca's customers. I'm pretty sure that even the densest John would know what his prostitute looked like.

I was surprised that she mentioned it to the barrio folk who are now all aware and looking for Blanca. I really thought she would keep silent but maybe she isn't as bad as I think.

Now thanks to Adriano the Altamiras also know that Blanca, who they don't know, is missing. Of course Victoria is also missing. I'm thinking they won't add two and two on that one for a while.

Victoria was noticeably upset when she went to Raqevil's and she told the somewhat pushy Diego that she might disappear. That obviously means when her task is over but under the circumstances they might think she went off to see her father or took some time away from them.

Oh good heavens Rafa calling Raqevil by her first name. A horrible breach of etiquette. And he thinks he can make the moves on her. Yipe. He's as full of himself as Mariana.

I have a couple of wishes for this TN. Up the costume budget for the ladies so they dress to fit their status, loose the ice cream suit look on Eduardo, although it is supposed to be Acapulco.

Jorge needs to loose the hang dog expression.

Chris needs to loose the horn dog look.

Sara, I'm not a fashionista at all irl, but I notice if the wardrobe is a character and it is in LP and this. So you can't help but notice when things are off.

LA IMPOSTORA
Oh I'm laughing at your comments Decie! Ice cream suit look and horn dog. Lol. I had the Exact same thought about Rafa being as full of himself as Mariana.

J- I'm no fashionista either. Far far far from it, but I love watching TN fashion parades. One (of my many) AdP peeves was the costuming for Elisa.

LA IMPOSTORA

I've been contemplating jumping ship on this one, but somehow I can't yet.

There are some unexpected turn of events, and I am fascinated by the brothers; it helps too that they're good-looking overall. As bad as their mother is, they've grown up to be not so.

I thought L Morelos would be a better actress, and if she were, I probably (and I mean probably) wouldn't care so much about her wardrobe.

LA IMPOSTORA
I'm not willing to jump ship yet because I still can't figure out where the heck it's going.

Of course, MPV is ending and it looks like Quiero Amarte will follow. En Otra Piel should be up soon as well... And I think Reina de Corazones has started filming. I *will* have to make some decisions in the near future.

I honestly have not been impressed with L Morelos.

La Impostora--

Sara--Sad to say, I agree with you about L Morellos. After someone mentioned she's 35 years old, trying to play someone 25 or so has really put me off. I actually like her google shot as a blonde--it certainly would set her off from Fernanda, Raquel AND Mariana. Since Adriano is bald, it doesn't matter what color hair she has. Come to think of it, Domingo should have picked a wig for her to wear as Victoria. The blonde wig TC wore in Marido to kill Marcela was great.

I seem to be a couple of episodes behind watching on DVR, but I thought that green dress she wore was fit for the Queen of England (yes, frumpy). The deep pink one she had on for the dinner when Mariana, the ghost, showed up was only a little better. Raquel only saw it from the front when she complimented her on how nice she looked, we got a shot of her tight behind, which the fellas would probably have appreciated.

Ah well, so Blanca is distraught over the news that she isn't the biological child of Memo (which we do not know for sure....she could get a DNA test Stat to put us out of our misery). Is it really so unusual in tns anymore, other than the impact of the news itself? They start to make a big deal out of the "real" father (and we've had so many discussions on that point--real as opposed to biological) and the father that raised said child. In the end they all agree that the father who raised them is their true father.

Well, with Blanca's "kidnapper" revealed, we will have to chew our fingernails until we know if he really is on Team Adriano or not.

It was silly of him to have to chloroform her. I think it was for our benefit more than his having to deal with a kicking screaming Blancoria. Couldn't he just have kept her tied up right there in the hotel room for awhile? How did he get a comatose young lady out of the hotel with *nobody* noticing *anything.*

Geeesh, I'm for bailing on this tn with all the locuras, but heck, I really want to see Raquel get squashed by an anvil, although I don't care if it's Blanca or Victoria that ends up with Eduardo--or not at all.

AVENIDA BRASIL Quinta-feira

I missed maybe the first fifteen minutes of the two hour capitulo, so I don't know what happened between Jorgito, Debora and Nina.

Silas contines pretending his heart is weak, and doesn't take his pills but Olenka catches him and wants to know why he is lying to MonaLisa. I think the guy is just afraid to get married. MonaLisa and Silas have had a great relationship all these years and I think he thinks marriage will change that. She wants Silas to tell MonaLisa the truth, that there is absolutely nothing wrong with him.

Nina leaves the family, amid much hugs and tears especially from Agatha who considers her a sister, and meets Jorgito at the airport. But in the end, she just can't go. She breaks up with Jorgito.

Jorgito gets drunk, gets pickpocketed and we get some of his backstory. This couple that adopted him was not Carmina and Tifon . This seemed like a very loving couple that took good care of him he was very little in this backstory. Since we know for sure Max is Jorgito's bio dad, who were the couple that adopted/took care of him before he ended up at Tiradero?

Nina runs to Mama Lucinda and tells her that she just can't be with Jorgito. Her venganza must be stronger than her love for Jorgito. She wants the best for him. She tells Mama Lucinda that Jorgito and she are just a dream.

Tifon gets a call that they found Jorgito's vehicle in the middle of the street and he's nowhere to be found. Of course, Carmina thinks he's been kidnapped, but in the end they find out he's okay.

Muricy and Zeze still don't like Nina. I did leave a part out. Nina uses her "sick Mama" as an excuse for leaving, but also guy trouble. Carmina chats with her and tells her if she really wants this guy to get pregnant works every time. Hmmmmmm........ Maybe Agatha is really Tifon's. Just a thought.

Nina goes to Debora and tells her she's sorry for what happened with Jorgito. She tells Debora she has given Jorgito up and Debora should really get back with him, they belong together. The only thing she asks is that Debora never tell the family it was Nina that broke up the romance with Debora and Jorgito. Nina goes back to work for Carmina's familia. Will Debora keep Nina's secret? Oh, and I think Carlos and Veronica also know who Jorgito dumped Debora for. Will they ever say anything?

I was actually surprised when Adriano mentioned getting DNA testing right when he told her who he was. Never seen anyone jump on that as fast. I'd be distraught too I think it's a normal reaction and takes time to get used to. And she has to get used to the idea that Raqevil is her aunt shiver.

I'n nowhere near ready to bail on this one. As long as I'm interested in one or more of the characters and the general story line I stick it out. I bailed on PSMA because I literally couldn't stand any of the characters — zip-zero including the motorcycle riding granny and two of the most boring protags ever.

I like some of these characters, am suspending disbelief over a 35 year old actress playing early 20's against a 25 year galan. I'm doing the same thing with Pobres with a 24 year old actress whose two suitors are in their 40's and 50's although both of them don't really look it. I really don't know what i'm going to do during the Olympics probably stay up till the wee hours to get the TN's in.

Anita you are right on whose team Turko or Jerko is really on. He snatched Victoria after Adriano told him to watch over Victoria but mentioned that Bianca was his daughter. So I don't get what jerko is up to since Raquel never told him to do anything to Victoria.

La Impostora

I am SO ready to bail. I've watched a couple of episodes of Lo que la Vida me Robó and might switch to that one. I'd given up on Uni novelas years ago. I can figure out things more than 50 episodes in because it's a remake of Amor Real. My Mexican co-worker was in Mexico over the holidays and she said on her return that LQLVMR had everyone there obsessed with it.

Anyway, I was wondering if Blanca's teary behavior in Raquel's office was meant to be due to her realizing that she's now Eduardo's first cousin.

I agree that I find it dumb when people find out they've been adopted and assume those who have been their family all along no longer are.

I could have slapped Simona, not the first time, when she gave all that bad news to her comatose papí, but they made it seem like it worked.

I am curious about what the heck El Tuerto is up to. Pretending to switch sides and taking Adriano's money, but really still loyal to Raquel?

LA IMPOSTORA
As I said, not bailing yet because I feel like there's a lot more to this one. Like I said yesterday, I find this oddly compelling.

Believe it or not, I am really interested by Snoopy/Snotty. I am hoping she evolves into a full villain, not some two-bit Mariana knockoff. She's got seriously bitchy potential.

Things will just get hairy for me schedule wise when EOP and RDC start up. I may have to resign myself to weekend marathons and commenting on fewer shows.

La Impostora

The biggest tell-tell Victoria is not all that is her manicure. She looks like she has a dishwashers hands. The other is she is wobbly on heels.

I too am teetering on this one (I watch Korean Drama too) and hoped some serious stuff would come up but instead we get ole one eye grabbing both the nurse and Blanca and Rafa an office worker seducing the black widow.

I was glad about the DNA test however.

La Impostora

Novelera, Eyes Only....OT

I've been watching LQLVMR. It's not exactly anything sort of NOT like Amor Real at all. It's more like the base line of a melody which is vaguely recognized but there are all new variations written in to change the sound and the beat.

There are important new characters and some old characters have been given different roles. You will just about have to start watching from the beginning. It's worth it though, judging from the discussions it has generated. Good Luck. Please join us when you can.

Tofie--I so agree about the color of Blancoria's fingernail polish. Who on earth picked that out...must have been Blanca because I seem to remember her wearing it both on NYE and when she appears to Eduardo as Victoria. You'd think he might notice that and file it away. Or bright little Sofia.

REINA Miercoles

Madelaine, enjoyed your summary. Thanks for explaining what Pote said. He certainly has a lot to keep buried in the past. Oh well, no back story for him, but I'd love to know what/who he left behind in Mexico as far as his personal life.

Strange that Teo would bring up having kids with Teresa. Teo is a selfish elite and while, of course, he wants to protect his daughters, he hasn't been a good father in the sense of taking the time to raise them. He was too busy cheating on Eugenia with all his various ladies before Teresa. His daughters are always in formal dresses -- like props, not real kids. I would love to hear Patty riff on Teo and fatherhood. She'd skewer him good.

I like that Patty is being smart about checking out Veronica's story. I hope she doesn't fall for Veronica's tricks. Patty is not in love with Veronica, but it will still hurt.

Sure he bought it for her, but where did he get the money?

Madelaine, so right. Teresa ignores that she's the source of his money and just goes with the need she has to feel cared for and protected.

Anita

Since the majority of Victoria's interactions are with men I suspect they are less likely to notice the manicure. I think they probably are keeping it basic so that Blanca doesn't suddenly start showing a full French manicure or some hot color. However last night I was really looking at it and it actually looked like she had smeared it a bit over the cuticle like I always do when trying to do my right hand. Raqevil senses something is off so I'd think she'd notice the nails like we all are.

This novela has beautiful sets and locales so the missteps on wardrobes and the little things is odd to me. Telemundo novelas that I've seen before don't usually have screw up like that unlike Telvisa which is full of them.

LA IMPOSTORA
I love love love the sets. I want to live in Mansión Altamira (BTW I love the big ol' sign outside the mansion announcing that.)

I really think ice cream pants must be some trend since we've noticed them on PSMA as well. Art is way too old for them.

La Impostora

I know a Vietnamese nail place that is very reasonable, they do a wonderful job and will provide a referral

La Impostora

I live in a resort town and all the men, especially the golfers wear the bright solid and plaid trousers. Imagine it the same in Mexico

LA IMPOSTORA
I meant to say that Rafa has really been put to the test. Will he say yes and become irredeemable or no and still have hope of avoiding a big anvil.

REINA Jueves

I knew it, I just knew it! Teo is a thief! He has been ripping off Teresa for years. I always thought so, cause as a lawyer, unless he came from old money, shouldn't be having the assets he has, or bought Teresa that yacht. Willy now has a willing inside person to bring Teresa down. What I don't get is why Teresa hasn't sussed out that Teo has been ripping her off all this time? She is always so good with the numbers, why didn't she ever see this? I know Veronica is also an inside person, but Teo is very close to Teresa and has known her a long time. Intimately in other words. Teo caved right away too, he didn't even hesitate. He is screwed either way. Teresa finds out she kills him, or he goes down with the rest of them. Veronica is going to be his bodyguard/helper.

Flores is really pushing it. I know this is only a TN but for goodness sake, go tell the person you want more than anything to take down and warn her about what you know. Que????? That potassium shipment is legal all over except Columbia where it is used to make coke. Flores just needs concrete proof. He still doesn't have enough to arrest her and charge her.

That Chucho is out for all the fame he can get. I'd watch my back if I were him. What a jerk! Teresa was not very happy seeing her image splashed on every screen in Spain and probably all over Europe with this expose so to speak. It set Patty off too, who feels SHE is La Reina del Sur. She really let Teresa have it.

Patty seems to be in a downward spiral and I hope Patty took Teresa's words to heart. Patty does too much coke and drinks too much. Plus she trusts Veronica who she really barely knows and then gets dumped by her and wants her to stay working at Transer Naga. Que???? I really liked that Patty was suspicious of Veronica but Veronica managed to get Patty to believe her.

Oleg didn't like that report on Teresa either. I think he will blame Patty though, because she invited all those paps to Teresa's birthday partay.

I did like Conejo and Teresa getting drunk and Teresa saying that Teo might not be for her. At least Teresa has a bit of an inner alarm. Conejo tells her to go for Teo anyway. You only live once, take the chance, might not be here tomorrow.

So now there was that meeting about a new shipment of 20 tons. And Veronica and Teo are in this meeting. I can see Teo being in this meeting, but Veronica, que???? Since when is she in the know? They tried so hard to keep her out of the loop and all of a sudden she is in the loop. Hopefully this meeting is like the one where Flores et. al. got wind of a shipment of coke and ended up with barrels of oil. Unless Teresa has lost her mind and is throwing caution to the winds, I say this is a trap of some sort.

I have a question about the phone call Teresa got when El Guero died. Who called her exactly and told her that El Guero was dead, and to run for her life? I know that special cell phone rang and El Guero always told her to run and not answer that call. That's why I'm asking. Someone did call her and tell her. Then she ran.

Neice:

I so agree with what you said about Teo. The man is only looking out for number one, and he may love his daughters, but he never spends time with them or parents them as you said. They are more like props for his public life and nothing else. I'm sure that if Teresa had a bebe he wouldn't be a part of parenting the bebe either. He'd leave it all to Teresa, and now we find out what a turncoat, ladron he is.

AVENIDA BRASIL Quinta-feira

Thks Madelaine for your recap, I felt yesterday's episode was especially good. So much going on!

Basically in the beginning, Debora was mad that Jorgito left her for Nina, because she thought he left her for his childhood sweetheart, not for some new woman walking into his life. He explained that Nina was his childhood sweetheart, & that she came to Brazil to find him. Debora told them that what Nina & Jorgito have is a childhood fantasy, that Debora really does love him and would of made him happy.

Silas is lying about being terminally ill, because he wants to marry Monalisa & he feels that's the only way she'll go through with it. In that relationship, Silas wants the whole wedding & marriage while Monalisa likes things the way they are, hence him faking being sick.

I was surprised how much Nina was adored in the Tifon household. She literally walks on gold for most of them. Stupid Max for having Tifon robbed, that's what tipped Nina into staying! I felt so bad for Jorgito, he was so excited and happy to go on that trip, then Nina pulls the rug from under him.

jlk

La Reina
Madelaine: Willy called Teresa, listen to his voice then listen to that phone call again. Teo does come from money but he's stealing. I can't spoiled it anymore than that.

AVENIDA BRASIL Quinta-feira

JLK:

Thanks so much for the stuff I didn't get. So it's Mona Lisa that doesn't want to get married. How funny. I thought it was the other way round. I surprised when Silas switches the medical report and put his name on this some other person's medical results. I feel sorry for the other person.

I am glad Nina is staying but her venganza urge is so strong. I wonder how she is going to get that concrete proof she is looking for to show Tifon who and what Carmina really is and the Max angle. That whole family does treat her like gold.

So I wonder what Jorgito will do now? Go back with Debora, try to fight for Nina? Oi, Oi, Oi!

LA IMPOSTORA

Wow now we can add another character to the list of impostors Domingo as Victoria's father Peter. I will admit it was quick thinking on his part when Sofia opened the door.

I am completely confused about Jerko and the kidnapping. How did he figure out that Blanca was Victoria? I'm thinking since his assignment was to get rid of Blanca he kidnapped her in order to force her to stay Victoria and let Raqevil think that Blanca was dead. Somehow in typical TN fashion people seem to suddenly know things no one has told them.

Raqevil has trouble coming at her from two directions and she doesn't know it. She thinks any problem she has is going to come from Adriano via what ever he may learn from Memo. She thinks that Mariana is just some skank Eduardo married and has no idea that the girl is fronting for very dangerous Mafiosi. She's going to fight back on the Adriano front to stop any revenge he has in mind which is directed at getting justice for Val and overlook the much bigger problem which will impact her almighty business. Should be worth waiting for.

We got a good look at her last night when Adriano went at with her. Now we know that she apparently got rid of Valentina because she was jealous of her, Adriano loved her and not Raqevil, she was Leo's favorite and Raqevil turned to the business to win Papi's favor in place of the son he never had. Raqevil even admitted she hates everyone.

Poor Victoria having to rely on gossip from the barrio to find out what is happening with Memo, is now going to the brunt of Eduardo's rage over the kidnapping of Sofia.

Anon 11:58:

Thanks so much about the phone call that Teresa got. Hmmmm..... how odd. Why would Willy call her and tell her that? To save her maybe, to get the agenda cause he knew Teresa and El Guero lived together? Very interesting. And you are right, I did go back to listen and it definitely is Willy's voice. I wonder if she recognized his voice when he picked her up in that truck at the airport when she was running again. She didn't seem to, it could have been the stress, etc.

Also thanks about Teo. I guess if he had stolen more lana from Teresa she would have noticed at some point. Maybe she already has, and he just doesn't know it yet. Just speculation, this is my first time viewing this TN.

La Impostora

What? Tuerto kidnaps Blanca and tells her Blanca has to die so that Raquel will believe she's dead and lay off, thus freeing up Victoria to go for revenge about what was done to her father.

But no one tells Adriano this? Tuerto is being paid triple what Raquel was paying him, but he doesn't let his boss in on the kidnapping? It sure looked to me like Adriano really thought Blanca was kidnapped and was not in on the plot.

Plus he went to Raquel and accused her of stealing his child for the second time.

This show has more holes in it than Swiss cheese!

Novelera

La Impostora has holes in but what TN doesn't. It's a wild ride and I have to say i really look forward to it. I haven't even consider bailing like I had to with PSMA and that AB thing. However with the Olympics coming something may give even if i am frantically trying to clear everything off my DVR. LOL

La Impostora

For me last night was a little better and agree it has plenty of holes.

Adrino - the DNA test, what are you waiting on?

Tuerto - Blanca kidnapped, tied to a chair, gagged and a gun waved in her face, but oh just kidding.

Blanca - he is your cousin and you still look at Eduardo with googly eyes

Raquel - Was thrown a little by weepy unrequited love.

Domingo - Great thinking Victoria but I would never buy it

Mariana - somebody please bitch slap her

Reina
Do any of you remember in the book if they said Willy called Teresa to get outta there after El Guero was killed?

LA IMPOSTORA
I still need to watch Friday's episode.

Yes, there are tons of holes... but I'm having loads of fun.

Random thoughts as I watched Thursday's episode:

Raquevil-The naviera is almost bankrupt. How is that going to win your father's affection? Clearly you cannot manage the business.

Leonidas-Were you in charge 20 years ago? Why the hell did you let Raquevil get away with taking a baby away from and getting rid of your (we assume) favorite hija?

FAHIONISTA ALERT
Mariana's tighty whitey dress showed up on Aranza in Por Siempre Mi Amor.

La Impostora

Sara, I didn't even notice the tighty whitey on Aranza because when she is on I tune her out.

Raquel - clever move but now you know you got a fox in the hen house

Tuerto - Raquel will probably go for the other eye

Simona - don't tell means don't tell

Jorge - sweet the boy loves his mama again

Karina - you got some nerve slut

Blanca - guess you don't believe you two are cousins or you just don't care

Mariana - you are better than Tuerto and the Masseuse put together

La Impostora

HELP! I was out and my DVR didn't record LI. I walked in just as Victoria and Ed were kissing meaningfully. Please tell me what happened (two or three bullet points will suffice).

I heard Eddie say he's not mad at Victoranca and the kidnapping was not her fault? I thought this was Mariana's fool-proof method of making Ed hate her.

Did Rafa bungle the job and they got Sofia back? I'd love it if she had been clever enough to get away from him.

Where are the writers taking us? Unplowed, but fertile ground? Blanca has been told that Eddie is her first cousin. Will we be enduring 50 episodes of their hand-wringing over un amor prohibido? Or go with the flow and tell each other that in the olden days it was allowed?

Otherwise, it kinda leaves us with two options if they are going to end up together. Either Blanca is not Valentina's or Eddie is not Raquel's. My bet is on Eddie not being Raquel's esquincle.

La Impostora

Oh, tofie, now you have me intrigued. What did Karina do to earn her the latest slut label?

La Impostora

Anita
Nothing new other than Karina approaching Ramon in the church asking for forgiveness. I just haven't gotten over what she did and is so nonchalant about it.

Ed and Victoria kissing was it, so you didn't miss anything. One of them is not part of the Altamira family I bet but we've yet to have a DNA test reveal. What is odd is Blanca kissing him anyway with the possibility they are cousins.

Rafa and Mariana staged a little show and Sofia was rescued while still in the funpark. She now thinks of Mariana now like some super woman. Ed was mad at Victoria for a little bit but got over it quickly.

AVENIDA BRASIL Sexta-feira

Oi, Oi, Oi, again! The family is still anxious about where Jorgito is. They still don't know exactly where he is. Jorgito is banging on Nina's door begging to talk to her, but she won't open the door and even covers her ears. Building security finally hauls him out of there. I missed the next couple minutes or so, but Debora with the help of Nina I think, locates him and while Nina cries her eyes out, and watches from afar,Debora consoles Jorgito and they get back together. Also Carmina had dropped by earlier to see Debora to find out who this girl was that Jorgito dumped Debora for, but Debora doesn't tell.

Carmina next goes to Tiradero and sees Nilo who gives her the info that Rita is the one that has been seeing Jorgito; she gives Nilo a bunch of cash. Carmina is beyond beside herself.

She goes back home and enlists Nina in keeping a secret and goes to confront "Rita" at her place. I think Carmina told Nina a cock and bull story of what Rita was like as a child and swears her to secrecy. Nina in a panic calls her friend Bettina to tell her to come to her apartment and pretend to be "Rita" again. Nina also kisses Carmina on the cheek and scrubs her mouth the same way she did her hands the other day.

Janaina has a son, didn't catch his name, who comes to the house and wants to help find Jorgito. Seems he knows something about Max and hitting. I don't know if it was hitting him or what. Carmina sees Janaina's son fiddling with one of her statues and he says he's leaving and goes.

Nilo spends his "telling" money on booze and food and Mama Lucinda comes and he gives her a drink which she promptly throws in his face. She knows he told Carmina about Rita.

Carmina and Nina go to "Rita's" place and go up to "Rita's " apartment and break in, kinda sorta. I think Nina used her key. Carmina is pithed off and throws some stuff around and finds Jorgito's childhood picture and rips it up. Nina is having a hard time controlling herself. She gets Carmina to leave, so as not to be "caught" and they wait outside for "Rita". "Rita" finally shows up and Carmina lights into her about she's trash, stay away from her son Jorgito, Carmina has come a long way from before, "Rita" was just a pain in the butt, yadda, yadda, and she pushed "Rita" who lands on the curb, cut and bruised. Nina stops her and helps "Rita" up. She tells Carmina to go and to control herself. Nina helps "Rita" into the apartment.

Jorgito comes home finally with Debora. Tifon wants him to get his act together and focus on his soccer and to stay at the house, which we all know Jorgito will have a hard time doing. He knows who Nina really is and will have a hard time staying away from her. Even though he told Debora he now hates Nina/Rita but Debora reminds him there is a fine line between love and hate.

Nina has gotten Bettina upstairs and begs for her forgiveness for having her go through that with Carmina. That's where the capitulos end.

How can Nina keep herself in check? She is still working for Carmina's family where she will be able to see Jorgito a lot. I don't think she has really thought this through. I know she wants venganza against Carmina, but Nina is hopelessly in love with Jorgito and how can she keep that part of herself from showing in front of Carmina. I know she has done it so far, but it's becoming trickier all the time.

La Impostora
Okay is the cousin thing forbidden in all cultures? What about the old thing about "kissing cousins"?

By the way, given Raquevil's preference for Edardo over Jorge and Chris, it makes sense that she loved Eduardo's father and perhaps the other two boys had a different father whom she despised?

REINA Viernes

My oh my how things have been ramped up. Teo the rat has turned. He is going to give up Teresa with Veronica to help. I noticed that she calls herself Agent Lopez in front of Teo but Willy calls her Agent Cortes. I think she uses an undercover name with suspects, which is the norm.

Juarez and Oleg are suspicious about Teo, I think, and follow him where the see him go to the Willy and the boyz drug enforcement office. Another dirty cop tells Juarez about a guy meeing with Willy et. al. and some woman. Juarez sees Teo leave the office and Juarez, I think, is on to him. He tells Oleg.

Teresa has enjoyed her visit with Teo and gives him a gun with n o serial number and it can't be traced. It is as if it doesn't exist. Teo is kind of startled about it but she says it's for his own protection. He takes it and he goes. After he leaves Teresa faints and Pote finds her. She goes to the Doctor with Pote and finds out she is preggers. Big shock for Teresa. She flashs back to the murders of her friend and the children and also the killing of Mohammed. She even asks Pote if he killed those children in Mexico, but he says he doesn't kill kids. She correctly surmises it was El Gato that killed the kids. She is thinking about what she is going to do.

Poor Patty is on the downward spiral. She is dancing at Oleg's club all drugged and drunk and hits on several people. Oleg is so disgusted he calls Teresa and tells her about it and she says she'll talk to Patty in the morning. Meanwhile, Patty leaves the club in that state, and goes to Veronica's and sees Willy dropping Veronica off. Patty knows Willy from Columbia, but Veronica says he's a friend. Patty tells her how her life has been since they've broken up, she can't eat, sleep, etc. Veronica takes her upstairs. Patty wakes up with a hangover/drugover and takes her drug vial and goes.

Flores gets a search warrant for that ship of Teresa's to see what he can find. He has to wait for it to come into Spanish waters in order for him to do so. Willy also tells Veronica that her mission is complete. She will be going back to Mexico, he has her ticket, and tells her to tell the peeps at Transer Naga her Mother is gravely ill and she's going home. Willy says Operation Safo is done.

That's all I can remember.

I wonder if Teresa will keep the bebe or not. She is so conflicted especially with the flashbacks of her friend and her kids and Mohammed. I did like that Teresa went on her boat to think. She needed the sea she said. Pote is a real supporter for her too. I never expected that from him. I think that's why I like him, even though he's a killer. Teo is just scum. I always had a feeling he was too good to be true. He was too eager, not like El Guero and Santiago. They both gave her flack every now and then. Teo hasn't given her anything. Of those three men, she made a huge mistake with Teo.

Variopinta:

I don't know if that was in the book. I read the book when it first came out and remember bits and pieces of it, but not that part. That's why I asked. That voice was haunting my memory so to speak. I knew I'd heard it before but not where exactly.

Thanks, tofie, that explains 44 min. of watching in a nutshell. So Mariana staged the rescue and his now hot stuff in Sofie's eyes. Nice. I'm glad we didn't have to suffer episodes of agony waiting for kidnappers to contact the family.

BTW, have we ever seen Nurse Francisca again? Where are they keeping her?

J in Oreg, your postulation on consanguinity does make sense. No guarantee that the writers feel it is necessary to make sense, although so far this novela is keeping me watching. (I just wish E-moony would smile more often--he has such a cute sideways smile.)

Why on earth does Karina want Ramon back, or is she just apologizing for two-timing him. I got the impression in Thursday's episode that she and Jorge are a hot item, or at least for Jorge, who doesn't want to leave the barrio so he can be near the love of his life.

Reina
Tks for the recap Madelaine

1st disappointment, the fainting, preggers cliche, thought this TN was above that. You can tell this is written by men, when did they get in their heads that pregnant women faint, throw up, sí.

La Impostora

Karina doesn't want Ramon back and she and Jorge are still an item.

No Nurse Francisca

Of note too is that Adraino and Fernanda,uh, you know, did it

La Reina: @ Vario, I have the book and I'll go take a look to see if Willy called Tere. I saw the novela twice already but I can't say nada about el bebe and other stuff. I enjoy seeing what everyone is guessing and sometimes how far off they are about certain things.
Avenida: Nina is losing herself in her need for revenge.

La Impostora.

I'm still of a mind that Eddie is not Raqevil's. Obviously from the kissing scene Blanca has not accepted that she is Adriano's. He mentioned a DNA test but they have done nothing about it at this point.

Blanca calling Snoopy was stupid especially when Jorge overheard it and that boy will not keep his mouth shut since he will now believe his mother told the truth. As soon as he tells her he believed her she will smell a rat and Tuerco will be in deep doo doo.

I thought it was extremely interesting that he who shoved the pills down Letty throat is now telling her she has to fake being out of it. And she is no longer cowering in fear of him.

So the new story is that Val committed suicide because she was in a deep depression. The two boys found that hard to believe since she had a baby I can't decide if Leo is clueless or just a smoother liar than his daughter.

Mariana is now, if she hadn't been before, a cold blooded murderer. So one anvil awaitls her for sure. Clever to use Rafa to stage the kidnap, which makes her look like wonder woman and Victoria look irresponsible. The downside of that is that if Sofia sees Rafa the game will be over. Mariana told him to be careful but he is so full of himself he won't.

LA IMPOSTORA
Rafa will be screwed if Ed decides to take Sofie to work one day.

@Vario: No in the book it is not revealed who called her and by the Willy is mentioned once, lol. I prefer the TV version of Tere over the book's version. There are none of the girls in the Yamila, no Veronica and a lot more things never happened in the book but I like the novela better others, of course, preferred the book.

AVENIDA BRASIL, Sexta

Madelaine: Carmina told Nina the story of her and Rita's father and her version was the opposite of what actually happened. She said he took advantage of her.

They did break into "Rita's" apartment: Carmina picked the lock and then asked Nina if she was impressed with what she is able to do.

I think you missed the beginning of the show the other day. Janaina's son is Lucio and he is supposedly a student. Max finds him lounging next to a pool (not Tifón's) instead of going to class and threatens to tell his mother. Max has him rob Tifón when he is walking back with the proceeds of selling a car to a friend. Nina notes that it was the same MO as Genesio's robbery: two hooded men come by on a motorcycle, demand the money, and take off. Only in Genesio's case it wasn't successful because Rita warned him in time. This makes Nina more determined than ever to protect Tifón.

So far I'm loving this novela but I think in every novela there is a s/l you can do without. For me, it's Leleco/Tessalia and Muricy/ Adauto. Is this supposed to be comic relief? I predict Tessalia and Adauto will end up together.

Reina
Anon, in the book she got pregnant by Teo & didn't tell him. I remember that much and I just read it. I do mix up book & novela though.
I just don't remember who called her or if it was ever said. Willy did fly her out of Mex.

Anon, yes it is very different from the book.
All the prison people don't show up again except of course Patty.
I don't remember Eugenia appearing in the book except being said that Teo had a wife & 2 hijas.

Oleg was described as tall & blond in the book. But I love our Oleg.

Sue455:

Thanks so much for the added info and what I got wrong. So that's what Carmina told Nina and no wonder she looked so sick. That's why I wonder how long she can keep up this venganza. It's also hard for Nina to look her directly in the eye when Carmina talks about the past. I think Nina has the urge to beat the crap out of her and can barely control herself.

Thanks for Lucio's name and what happened with Max. I did miss some time from this TN this past week. I added his name and the name of Muricy's amante to the character list you put up. So many characters! Do the writers of these Brasilian TNs always do that?

I agree with you about the comic relief. It really isn't needed, but with the angst, I think they want to add some lightness. I too agree that Tessalia and Adauto will end up together.

Do you think Nina is wanting to protect Tifon because she thinks of him like a Papa maybe? Or just to save an unsuspecting victim from Carmina? Tifon is a really nice guy.

Anon 4:40:

I too worry about Nina. She has now thrown over the love of her life for her venganza. It is her main focus and is eating her up alive. But this is a TN so we will have this for a bit, I'm thinking.

I'm watching right now and the only description Blancoria can come up with is "have you seen a girl about this tall?" She's in an amusement park full of "girls about this tall." LMAO.

REINA Viernes

Madelaine, thanks for your rundowns. I agree with all your commentary. Evidently my recorder doesn't like what's happening either cause it kicked off at certain points.

I knew Teo would always save himself first but had no idea he was stealing from Teresa, the lady who knows her numbers. I guess this is a pitfall of climbing the ladder cause Teresa would've caught this in the old days.

Patty's a mess but Teresa needs to realize a lecture won't do it. Patty needs expert help, like a rehab center and a shrink.

One bright spot. Pote didn't kill Teresa's godchildren. So maybe he'll survive till the end.

Agree with all that it's crazy for them to pursue this big shipment now. They should realize either there's a mole or Alberto's tech stuff has been cracked.

Teresa giving Teo a gun? He's not the type to do his own shooting.

Variopinta, ITA - I wouldn't want to see anyone else playing Oleg.

Decie Girl--What did I miss? Mariana is a cold blooded killer? When did that happen? Who did she rub out that we know and love (haha)? (Or is my memory failing me?).

La Impostora

Richie told her the big boss in Espana wanted a guy dead and she used poison in a syringe and stuck him in the neck while everyone around at a pool. Guys name was Pedrino or Perdino and never saw him before.

She calmly just walked up in her bikini and started chatting with the guy, as Richie looked on, and stabbed him in the neck..

LA IMPOSTORA
I'm kind of finding this one as funny as or funnier than QPob. I cannot wait until Tuesday when the Monday ep is up.

La Impostora

Very silly at times. I thought Mariana left the syringe in the guys neck and anyone at the pool could provide a description.

Why hasn't anyone checked phones for photos or FB pages? Why didn't Blanca take a photo with her phone of Leticia and show to Adriano? Why hasn't Victoria still not done her nails?

Oh I laughed out loud when Raquel cried crocodile tears when Adriano said he knew she had a crush on him but he loved her sister

La Impostora

The syringicide must have happened on Friday. I guess that's supposed to make viewerville afraid of her and upped the stress ante that our loved ones could be in danger. How convenient we had never seen this guy before. Thanks, folks (OnDemand is waaaay behind on episodes.)

La Impostora

syringicide. lawdy girl you funny

LA IMPOSTORA

Actually I think she took the syringe with her. It's obvious she has done things like this before because in her room she carefully cleared air out of the syringe and stuck it in her massive hair. He was just an assignment for her and no one we needed to know anything about. I think the purpose is to show how dangerous the woman is and take us away from the idea that she is only their to weasel her way back into the family for the marina.

I've wondered why Adriano didn't have a picture to show Blancoria when she said she saw a strange woman in the house and thought it was Val. As for her not taking a picture with her cell phone, she may not know how to do it. Didn't someone comment on her suddenly having a fancy phone?

I really can't fault her for asking people of they'd seen a girl about so high. I'm pretty sure she was in a panic and never thought to be more specific. She is cool and collected when dealing the Altmairas but she loves Sofia and couldn't bring her normal coolness to the forefront.

As for her horrible nail polish it looks to me like it is a shade of pewter or gray. I've got silver polish which looks the same. After seeing the effect it is having on all of us I'm thinking it will soon be in my trash can. LOL

For all it's holes and WTH moments i'm enjoying this as pure entertainment. It moves all the time, QueP while often hilarious isn't moving very quickly and needs to pick up the pace. In any event I'm sticking with them both for the near future.

LA IMPOSTORA
those of you watching on real TVs: was it just me or was there a chipped polish job during the kids? I was watching on a tablet so I wasn't sure. It's that kind of thing that annoys me.

I still like QPob, but I don't wish it was as fast as this. In fact, every Telemundo TN I've seen has been fast.

LA IMPOSTORA
during the kiss not kids. Oy vey.

I've finally caught up on this and I'm 'meh'. The Clark Kent /Superman act is tiresome. Why is Melania allowing her child to be forcefed pills? She's worse than Mariana, whom I find fascinating. I still don't believe Blanca is Adriano's -Raquel is lying like a rug and I think she's lying now about who's the child to save her skin and hurt Adriano. I'm still convinced it's Ramon.

Tuerto is fascinating to me. He's no Macario Gaitan-the sicarrio on La Patrona. That dude was deadly and loyal. He wouldn't have turned as quick as Tuerto. But I want to see more of him.

LA IMPOSTORA
I'm fascinated by Mariana, too. I hate her, but she fascinates me.

Thanks for mentioning Melania because I had the same thought. They institutionalize your child to keep her from blabbing the truth and you just go with it?

Don't get me started on Leonidas. A complete wimp if you ask me. Why has he been putting up with Raquevil's schemes all these years?

But I can't look away...must.watch.

La Impostora--

I may be wrong, but regarding the woman staying at the Altamira house, I could have sworn I heard Blanca say her name was Leticia and both Adriano and Socorro said, oh, that's Melania's daughter.

Now, without a photo, this could be a bright red herring, because it could *still* be Val. But I doubt it--I go back to the surprise and almost faint-away horror when Leticia got a waked-up view of Blanca. That makes me think that Blanca is a dead ringer for Val. Ok, so unless that is another red herring, it only leads to other complications--how can Blanca and Eduardo get together.

I really do like the idea of Ramon being the lost child. He needs a family.

About the chipped nail polish. I can't help there, my tv monitor is only a little bigger than a tablet 6' away.

LA IMPOSTORA

The reason I think Leticia is Val is BECAUSE of Melania's behavior towards her. She doesn't act like she is her mother. And I'm still on the fence about Ramon as well.

I've seen a lot of screw ups in TN's like actors dropping props, running into furniture, cutting themselves, doors that creak and then don't or won't stay shut but last night I saw a new one, I think. When Eduardo went to Adriano's the maid said that someone wanted to see him and announced Leonides Altamira. Adrian said show him in and enter Eduardo. I've seen that in american soaps but never in a TN.

Sara I don't necessarily want Pobres to be as fast paced as this one just to pick it up a bit. Three days of sleeping the floor and not even trying to fix up the shed. Days of MA doing nothing about clearing his name.

I will agree that Telemundo novels work at a faster pace which is one reason I'm coming to increasingly watch them rather than the Televisa ones which often suffer from bloated middles and endless regurgitations of things we already know.

LA IMPOSTORA
I love you so much right now Decie! I swore I heard Leonidas as well. Thanks for confirming.

I'm with you on Que Pobres. I don't want it super fast but I want to feel like something at least happened.

You guys are the greatest and I'm grateful for the comments that keep me afloat. I missed much of Thurs/Fri due to A) post-surgery drugs and B) company at the house.
I did see Mariana commit "syringicide" (that's the best TN medical term since "escaleracide", or a fatal push down the stairs.) If you are going to kill someone, why bother to squeeze up that fatal air bubble out of the syringe first?? Just sayin'.

"Camelia, la Texana" is rumored to start Monday the 24th of February,

Dagoberto Gama (el Pote in la Reina) is listed in the cast.

Avenida Brasil

I just started watching this when I got back from Peru. My DVR didn't keep the earlier episodes that I asked it to record so I am having a lot of trouble figuring out who all these characters are!

Oi Oi Oi, indeed. I was so surprised when I first heard the theme because that is the song that we always finish with in my Zumba class!

Thanks Madeleine and Sue455 for the recaps and comments. Is there a character list somewhere? That would be really helpful. I'm ok with the main characters but all the rest of them are really a blur.

So on Friday, I guess it was Leleco who thought that Tessalia had gone to a hotel with some other guy (Adauto??) He barges in on the guy with some other woman and there is a giant scene with everyone ending up at the police station. Tifon comes and all the policemen are excited to see the football star and he makes the trouble go away.
