Mentir Para Vivir #90 Wed 2/12/14 Historias y Reflejos de una Novela que el Viento se Llevo

Precocious Alina shows Ricky her nifty new camera!  Oopsie, there’s a pic of Moms and Pops kissing!  Ruh-roh!  Ricky, true to form, blows a gasket. To his credit, he waits until Alina is out of earshot. Ines tells him not to let his imagination go wild.  JL suddenly turned to plant a hot one on her at the same moment Alina took the picture. She couldn't very well reject him and put up a fight with Alina there.  Ricky wonders how far she'd be willing to go for her daughter and she tells him as far as she has to.  He's wrong if he thinks she's going back to JL.  Ricky starts to whine about having to go to Paloma's in the hopes of running into her. Ines tells him she doesn't want her daughter growing up bitter.  She reminds him she was once very much in love with JL but although Ricky may not believe her, he is the love of her life.  She walks away and he asks himself if he'll continue to be her love tomorrow or the day after?

Casa Bonita
Lucina gets frustrated with Raquel when Raq wonders if she should talk to Francisco again.  Lucina is certain he doesn't regret anything and doesn't even care about the baby  she's expecting.  Raquel calls him anyway and coyly says she hasn't heard from him and is worried about him. JL makes it very clear he doesn't want to speak with her and tells her to get to the point.  What does she want?  She tells him he should reconsider.  They can't break up like this. They're expecting a baby who will give his life, their lives, new meaning.  JL repeats that he doubts the child is his and even if it were, he doesn't want a child with some floosie! Raquel is insulted.  He tells her to stop bothering him and hangs up!  In her best Fatal Attraction voice, Raquel says to herself, "Fine.  But you’re not getting rid of me that easily.  I'm going to ruin you!"

Back at his office, JL looks at a photo of his once happy family, "I will get them back.  I will turn my life around."

Jacky Skypes with Mom.  Mom explains that Inmobiliara Paraiso is the company Tio Samuel says he financed but JL says that isn't so.  The money came from Joaquin.  Jacky thinks it was a bad idea to tell Samuel about the CD. He's capable of bombing JL's house in order to kill him and destroy the CD at the same time. Mom begs her to come home.

Cesar has arrived to speak to Raquel about the baby that he assumes is his.  "What if it were, then what?" she asks. "You want me to marry you?"  He only wants to know if the baby is his.  He has a right to know.  She mocks him, "How brave, que macho!"  He ignores her and says a child has a right to a legitimate name so he/she doesn't grow up with the shame of being a bastard. She finds this strangely attractive and cozies up to him but he pushes her back. He didn’t come by for a roll in the hay.  She wants to know who told him the baby is his.  He knows JL rejected her and this must mean the baby is not JL's  She wonders what he has to offer her.  A second rate employee's room, where she would have to dedicate herself to care for it, change its diapers, and clean his snot?  No.  She wants maids, nannies, and salons.  She wants to spend the whole day getting a massage.  He admits he can't give her all that but he can certainly free her of the baby.  He can take the baby to live with him.  “Where?” she asks, “You don't have a home.  You must mean your Tia's.”  She'll think about it since the baby would live like a prince at Paloma’s.  She asks how much Cesar is willing to pay her for the baby. (SKANK!)  Cesar is confused – “Wait, you want to sell it?” “Why not, your tia has oodles of money.”  Cesar finds this perverse.  Doesnt she feel anything for it?  Yeah, she does. She's fed up.  Fed up with the nausea and the thought of her belly swelling up like a balloon.  That's what she feels. He never thought she'd be like this..  A child is a gift from God.  Raquel rolls her eyes and tells him to go to hell.  She tells him to name his price or she’ll get rid of it.  She tells him to leave if he has nothing more to say.

Lucina sees Cesar outside Raquel's door and he tells her what just happened.  Lucina thinks this must be a joke.  Cesar assures her Raquel was not joking.  Lucina shoves him out of the way, walks in to Raquel's room and promptly slaps her across the face! “Are you crazy?!”  Raquel tells her she's the crazy one for telling Cesar she was pregnant and now he's concluded the baby is his.  “Well, isnt it?”  asks Lucina.  Raquel denies it but Lucina is sure it is.  What's more, she's sure JL dumped her because the baby's not his.  Raquel denies this is the reason for the split and she doesn't care whether Lucina believes it or not. Lucina gives her a piece of her mind.  Only a monster would be willing to sell her baby.  Even God won't forgive her. Raquel says she wants a better life.  Sure, she thought JL would take her away from all this misery and yeah, he played her.  She's tired of Lucina and her sermons and butting in her life as though Lucina's is so much better.  Lucina has nothing, she's poor and will never rise above that.  Raquel swears she won't end up the same.  Lucina reminds her they own a business and are definitely not poor.  Raquel wants out and tells Lulcina to return her part of the investment AND the 3 million they got from Paloma, since she's the one who procured it.  Lucina tells her to go ahead and leave.  She'll send her what she invested but will return the 3 million to Paloma!  Raquel argues that Paloma gave her the money, not to Lucina.  Lucina says Raquel has forgotten where she came from. She was like an abandoned dog and continues being the same dog.  (curiously, my broadcast bleeped out the word "perra" -- I'm sure that's what she said)

Paloma's
Fabi comes to Ines in tears.  There are times she wants to just die.  No one loves her. Ines tries to tell her about all the wonders of motherhood. Fabi cries, wondering what the future holds for her.  Ines comforts her, telling her she has her career to look forward to as well as her baby.  Fabi continues to cry, wondering what man could love her, with her illness and being a single mother.  Oh, there are many men who are understanding and generous, says Ines.  Fabi doesn’t want understanding or generosity.  She wants love and she'll never find love.  The only ones who've come near her are Piero and Leonardo and they've only done so out of compassion. Sebastian only stepped up because he's in the same situation (HIV+) but she doesn't want him.  Ines tells her to be patient.  But Fabi cries that patience won't change the fact that she’s infected.  Why did this happen?  Ines feels it was because she was innocent and didn't know about taking precautions.  No, says Fabi, she wasn't innocent.  She was stupid.

Some days later......

Casa Bonita
Mariano visits Jacky to check on her ankle.  Jacky puts the move on our ex-plaid wearing padre. Mariano admits he likes her very much but they've just met and he doesn't  know much about her life.  Jacky explains she’s lived a charmed life. But she's recently learned her father wasn't the man she thought he was.  Mariano tells her she can confide in him if she ever needs o talk.  She thanks him and kisses him - on the cheek.  He agrees to pick her up tonight at 9 for the art exhibit.

Cueva del Zorro
Antonio is bitching to JL about esa vieja (Matilde?) about delaying a project.  He delivered the project to Ambriz (construction guy) and he also gave Sebastian a job.

JL is interrupted by a call from Ines telling him he won't be able to see Alina as planned due to her evening with Paloma at the art gallery.  Alina still hasn’t become accustomed to all the changes and she doesn’t do well when Ines isn’t home.  She doesn't want to hit her up with another stressful event the very next day. JL thinks Alina is adapting very well. Ines agrees to assess the situation in the morning.  She tells him they're going to Leo's art exhibit tonight. JL says he was invited before grandpa's "death" but wasn't invited to this show and he's sure it's because the "ingenierito" is going. She takes offense to this and reminds him that he never rose above being “little” customs agent.

Ricky’s
Tia Fidelia and Ricky are on their way to the art exhibit sans Maricoo-coo -- she wasn't invited. No sooner have they left than she gets on the phone with Fede.  Fede, sitting on his bed deliciously without a shirt, invites her over then sets a video camera on a table in front of the bed, hidden by towels. Uh-oh

Art Exhibit: Historias y Reflejos
Leo welcomes everyone to his exhibit.  Ricky and Ines steal off on their own.  Methinks this is a time filler, don’t you?

Grandpa shows up and Leo thinks he's crazy to show up here where everyone can see him. Grandpa dismisses the concern and insists that leo introduce him to Jacky and to be sure and use his full name.  He wants to see if she recognizes his name.  They're introduced and the name seems to make no impression on her.  Around the exhibit, several characters comment on Homero's miraculous appearance.  Leo points out Joaquin's daughter to Ricky.  Paloma is outraged to see that Homero lives. She pokes him with her cane, demanding to know what is going on.  She chastises him for having them believe he was dead.  She even had a mass said for him!  He explains it all had to do with his "mission". She'll expect him at her home to give her a full explanation.  Paloma decides to leave, followed by Ricky and Ines.  Homero starts to say his goodbyes as well when he is accosted by the paparazzi.

Paloma's house
Paloma and Ines arrive.  Paloma scolds her for not telling her Homero was alive.  In her room, Ines receive a call from Ricky.  They discuss Homero 's appearance at the exhibit, Ricky surmising it was because he wanted to meet Joaquin’s daughter.  Viewerville stifles a collective yawn as Ricky whines about whether or not she still loves him.  She doesn't want to talk about it. He just wants to know she hasn't forgotten about him blah, blah, blah.  She says goodnight and then caresses her tummy. yawn

Casa Bonita
Lucina, Manolo, and Ruben discuss Homer's appearance.  Manolo denies knowing anything about Homero's fake death and Lucina tells him she doesn't believe him, saying, "Mientes con todos tus dientes" (you lie with all your teeth -- much funnier in Spanish cuz it rhymes)  In the kitchen Jacky asks Mariano why Homero would invite her to his home.  Mariano explains Homero was once an important man. He doesn't say anything about his spy job but does say he's rich and may be able to help her regarding her father.  She tells him he has no idea what problems she has with her father. How would he know that Homero can help her?  Mariano takes her hand and tells her he feels something special for her.  She had said he could talk to her about her problems.  She hesitates but he's the first person she's been able to trust.  They hug.

Cueva del Zorro
JL takes his morning coffee while reading the paper.  There's a big ol' picture of Homero plastered all over the front page.  This seems to take his breath away. He looks like he's gonna puke!

Casa Homero
Leo is laying into his grandpa, saying the only reason he had the exhibit was to show his paintings and make himself known as an artist.  How is he to do this if his paintings don't leave the house?  Homero suggests he can paint more and besides he’ll have money.  "I don't want your money! Just like I don't need your approval.  You only bought my paintings because you figured no one else would.  You've never thought my work is as important as what you've done. You know what?  This is my life and this is what I want to do."  Homero accuses him of raising a storm in a glass (tempest in a teacup?)  Leo continues his rant.  "You don't care about anyone else.  That's what happened with Ines.  You sent her to live with her husband just in order to capture your famous organization. A man she's afraid of.  But that didn't matter. You only think of yourself. You are the most selfish man I know! Who else are you going to use to get what you want?  As for that poor girl, Jacky?  She's surely the next victim of your selfishness!"  He storms out, toppling blank canvasses on his way out.

Paloma's house
Ines announces she and Alina are meeting JL.  She also announces "it" hasn't arrived (the monthly curse, the period is broken on her typewriter, *insert your favorite euphemism*)  Paloma is overjoyed at the news.  Alina will have a baby brother/sister and she'll have a new great-grandchild. Ines is not so happy. This is the worst possible time for her to be pregnant.

Casa Bonita
Jacky Skypes with mom and announces she's in love with the local free clinic doc.  Mom is worried he's a poor, worthless type and will be on the next flight to Mexico.

Apostles Cafe
Peter meets up with John (Matthew and Mark couldn't make it).  He whines about being fired and then Samuel asks him to whack JL.  Now he has no job, no money, no nothing.  He couldn't kill JL because he first needed to get a CD from him.  Peter gets a call from his boss, Mrs. Joaquin, complaining he's a lousy bodyguard.  Her daughter's in love with some guy Mariano.  He complains he doesn't have a car to follow her and she tells him to go out and rent one.  By the way, she's coming in tomorrow so he'll have to pick her up at the airport.  Peter relays all this to John and does his own complaining about his job. They fist pump (choque de cinco *love it!!**) with John saying they're in the same boat.

Aresti Breton
Oh my, Ricky is wearing a polka dot ascot today (faaabulous!).  It's rather flamboyant.  He's watching a video on a camera that looks suspiciously like he one we last saw in Fede's hands.  Piero tells him he now has what he needs to get a divorce.  Ricky reminds him he asked him not to do that.  (I'm sorry, but that ascot, scarf, whatever is making me LOL!!! HAHAHAHAHA) Piero tells him not to be so scrupulous.  That video will allow him to get a divorce once and for all.  Ricky is adamant he doesn't want it this way.  Marilu may have been unfaithful to him but he was also unfaithful to her.  Piero is exasperated and leaves but not before saying this cost him a pretty penny.  Hey, I’ll give you a pretty penny for that ascot!

Farmer Jose Luis
JL shows Ines a map of Arizona.  He's looking to buy some property and then they can buy livestock.  He asks her to picture Alina growing up around cows, horses, and dogs.  She's worried could still end up being jailed.  He asks if it’s true that Homero showed up at the exhibit.  He wonders why he faked his death.  She lies and says she doesn’t know.  He takes her hand.  He's noticed she seems sad, is something wrong?  Is she afraid Homero will arrest him?  He tells her not to worry. He's left the organization and is no longer under anyone's orders.  She may not believe this but those people do honor their word and Mrs. Barragan gave her word. He is free. Alina comes to the table to say she's ready to leave now.  JL asks if she's learned to ride her bike yet.  He offers to help her learn.  Since Paloma certainly won't allow him at her house, he offers to teach her at his house.  Alina and JL playfully beg Ines for permission.  She gives in. Alina is certainly looking more and more relaxed around Papa.

The Apostles do Lunch
John and Peter continue their talk (still no sign of Matthew or Mark) continue discussing the Barragans.  John gets a call from Samuel asking if he's completed the job.  John reminds him JL fired him.  Samuel tells him to go ahead and set fire to JL's house.  That will get rid of JL and the CD.  John relays this to Peter who tells him to be very careful.  Mrs. Barragan is no one to fool with.  He noticed JL and Jacky were very chummy at a restaurant.  What would happen if Jacky happens to be in the house when he sets it on fire?

Cueva del Zorro
Antonio advises Matilde had no choice but to take on Sebastian.  Ambriz has all the falsified billings. The business is on its way to getting up and running.  JL announces he's out.  Antonio is now in charge.  JL offers a toast but Antonio says it's bad luck to toast with a glass of water (ooooh - omen).  JL tells him to relax. It’s not plain water.  It's mineral water.  Anvil averted......for now.

Paloma's house
Homero describes the day of his "assassination" and the theft of the CD.  He's almost sure it was JL.  Paloma is still angry that Homero sent her granddaughter to live with that assassin. Ricky walks in, asking what's wrong,. (is it my imagination, or are these ascots growing as we head into capitulos finales?)

Avances
yawn
Ricky confronts Ines/Oriana (frankly, I don't care what name she's using nowadays)
Ricky confronts JL
JL swears he'll kill Ricky
lather, rinse, repeat

p.s. Ines discovers she’s preggers --- big surprise......

OMG...what happened to this novela? It just lost steam these past few weeks! No amount of ascot changes will save this I'm afraid. That polka dot number was too much. It looks like they raided Paloma's closet for that one! Oh my, I'm still laughing.

I had a late shift tonight, so I'm not responsible for any typos or lack of spiffy remarks. I'm dead tired and this was a real yawn fest tonight. I swear I'm literally gonna start copying and pasting. Too bad, cuz I liked this up til a few weeks ago.

I thought this was pretty spiffy. Apostles' Lunch is funny!

I completely agree that this is just "meh" now. I'm watching since it's near the end but it doesn't feel at all like a "rumbo al final." What a pity.

LOL! Thank you, Paquita. I'm still laughing about the polka dot ascot.

I loved the cafe union meeting of the hot bodyguards/hitmen.

Homero's blown his cover, but I don't see how this will help him bring down Sam and JL.

Ricky WATCHED and KEPT the video. He will review it a few more times, I'm certain. Anyways when he discovers that his fish can swim, I think his scruples will go out the door. He will threaten to put that video on YouTube in order to get out of that marriage.

P.S. I am disappointed with this recap. I think you could have described Federico and put screen shots of him up. Perhaps you could of made it a power point presentation and drew arrows to his pretty parts. I need to know what he was doing when Marilu called. What position was he lying in. Details. It's all in the details.

Calm down hornball! Just watch it for yourself, lol.

Thanks Paquita. I'm with you on what has happened to this once great TN?
I don't get why Homero would out himself. What purpose would that serve? I think he was just tired of being housebound.

I'm tired also of the lack of trust between Oriana and Ric. Yawn.

Inez is pregnant!!!!????, when did she faint??

Tks Paquita, for recapping this basura. I do remember when this started, we thought it was good, guess Uni knew what they were doing taking it out of prime time. Must have lost interest in Mex.

I watched it just to see Federico again. I wanted to relive my joy through the recap. Oh well.

Just shows how much attention I'm paying to this, I don't even remember seeing Federico & you all have been talking about his hotness for a couple of days, who is the actor? I just don't feel like watching Uvideos just to have a look.

Thank you, Paquita. You made my day -- another NJ blizzard and snow day. At least Hermosillo gives us a glimpse of warmer weather every night.

Ricardo may be my least ever favorite galan. His whining, insecurity and coming efforts to short-circuit any more contact between Oriana and JL tonight leave me in a state of meh. And then there is the polka dot ascot!

Little Alina is suddenly going to be in the middle of a nursery, with Oriana's baby, Cesar's and Fabiola's. I thought that Fabiola's little break-down last night was touching and realistic. What a terrible price she is paying for innocence! It now looks like stupidity to her but in time she will understand how sheltered she was.

Variopinta I don't know who he is. He walks around shirtless and it is a treat.

Dear Paquita, your title was PERFECT! I wonder how the actors must feel doing the same lather, rinse, repeat.

I loved this TN from the beginning, but am now a tad sad that it completely lost all steam. I think the actors deserved so much more.

Thank you again, Paquita!!

Fatima

I am sad too, Fatima, but the recappers and comments make it fun.

Traveling Lady, did you watch Corazon Indomable? Octavio was so much worse than Ricardo.

I still love Ricky. My favorite garland are either crazy or they will do anything just to be with the one that they love. Ricky is kind of nuts...when Jose Luis is around. That's when he really becomes attractive to me.

I'm actually interested in the storyline of all the surrounding characters, I just think the writers could tighten it up a bit and make it more of a nail biter. What displeases me is the constant repetiton of Ricky and Oriana's insecurities and jealousy, which just makes them both look whiney and weak. I can't believe the writers can't see how this makes the main characters look when they have them repeating these same insipid lines, as if they just started dating a few weeks ago, and/or are teenagers.

I think this is the problem with so many early reveals, there's really nothing left for "el gran final" but the whole Ines/Oriana think really got resolved quickly didn't it?

It was a big stress factor, now it's just "the cops agreed, good luck."

I guess I'm used to big things happening at parties in TNs that I've been disappointed in every "party" they've thrown at us, nothing of substance has ever happened.

Ines and Ricardo bore me so much. Personally, I don't think any overabundance of chemistry between actors can save the bad writing that has been given to these characters.

I loved the bit about Leo screaming at Homero that he forced Ines to live with a man she hated and feared in one scene and in the one right after Ines agrees to let Alina go to JL's house. She doesn't seem so fearful anymore….

I also like Ricky. Other than the whiney jealousy thing, I think he's a great galan. He's a man of action, great with kids, respectful of his madrina, and would, and has, done anything for Oriana-- even marrying an insane woman in order to adopt Ori's child (they should all smack Homero for that stupid idea).

Well, yes, I still like my Ricky, too! Oriana has bugged me for quite some time and the massive change in Alina towards her father simply does not make sense. It's like that idiot social worker got her way.

I'm interested in what Raquel's anvil will be for surely she has one coming given that she was willing to sell her unborn child. That has GOT to be a new low for her.

Homero deserves some slaps upside the head.

I am still not happy that Fabiola has taken such a huge hit for this team. Her wretched mother deserves an anvil for abandoning her daughter on just about every level.

I wish we had a sequel with Lucina as the lead. I think she and Manolo could be the next Nicky and Nora Charles. Tito, my Bambino, could be their sidekick dog (Who needs Asta anyway?!)

Re our discussion the other day about our inability to be able to see the TN on uvideos or on "Novelas y Series", Comcast has announced that they are going go purchase Time Warner Cable for TWC's asking price. The deal has not been finalized as it will face scrutiny, but "The Weather Channel" has already taken a hit in this war.

I think our ability to see what we want to see and when we want to see it is going to be manipulated further by these broadcasting giants. What will happen to Netflix and Hulu?

Univision seems to be in cahoots with these guys in preventing us from seeing the vids. This FRIES me.

Fatima

Cathyx - I did not watch more than a couple of episodes of CI. It sounds from all the commentary that it went badly and that Octavio was a bad galan.

I do agree with all that Ricardo has many good traits. For me, especially lately, the insecurity and bluster have overwhelmed the good stuff. Novelas are, after all, romances, and the protagonists and their relationship have to drive a lot of it. Just not happening here for reasons of the writing, I agree.

It is a problem when so much is revealed in the beginning. I like that idea but then the writing has to be sharp.

Fatima -- Perfect idea with Lucina and Manolo and their little sidekick pooch. Love it.

Traveling Lady, mil gracias!!

Fatima

I just found out what you mean about Uvideos. I have comcast but didn't have the patience to try & figure it out.
Yet another reason to move to Telemundo.

Good grief, don't believe that crazy Uvideos site. I tried to register, why do they need my date of birth just to watch their awful novela? Grrrr

Vivi, I agree with you about Pretty Ricky.... As much a fan a fan I am of Mayrin/Orinies, I am SICK of the Jealous Pretty Ricky asking Orines does she still loves him, and her "dumba$$" saying "yes I do, but not right now".

(Is it me, or does Pretty Ricky look like a younger version of a politician that ran for President of the US recently)

Anyways, I am close to being done with this TN......

Every TN I have watch with Mayrin, all have had her preggers at some ponit in the TN....Imagine that..

Variopinta, I did register and I still can't access it. I'm not sure what to do next. But so far, I can't watch on it.

Cynderella, I wish you lived near me, I would love to have lunch with you. And I love your auto correct on your last comment.

Thanks for your recap Paquita. Your Apostles lunch was great.

Superalfie, ITA that the parties in this tn don't move in ways that would continue our interest. No reveals or scandals. Though long ago when the writing was still good, Alina's b-day was that type of party.

Fatima, love your idea for a sequel.

I think the unfortunate turn in the tn is lack of planning more than too early reveals. There is a lot we can still learn. Is there really a connection b/t Oriana and Palomita? And the secondary characters are quite compelling. We could learn more about them since the writers want to keep Ric and Oriana in 7th grade.

Karen, I didn't get that feeling from Alina's bday either because everyone knew JL was back in some way or another so it just like of like "oh he showed up, oh okay, get out."

I was never glued to the screen, the same with Fabiola's party. It was like "oh i found you, oh okay, let's all go back to Sonora because they found us and continue with our lives." Unless something big happens because of Homero's reveal, it's just a revelation with no footing.

There's no sense of urgency there, no sense of "if this comes out, there will be grave consequences for everyone involved." I never felt that.

As for Oriana and Paloma, I hope they aren't related because that would take away from a very good theme this tn had, "I can love you cause I know you, not because you're family." Which is what makes Oriana and Paloma's relationship so great (at least in the beginning).

If anything, I think the portrait was there to show us how anyone could think they were related in the beginning, because Palomita and Oriana looked more alike than the real Ines and Palomita.

That's a good explanation of the portrait.

The real Ines looked a lot like Paloma to me. I can totally see she was her grandmother.

Thanks for this excellent recap Paquita. Well done.

JL is Alina's dad and he's definitely making the effort to behave himself and control his temper, especially while he is with her. I think that is a good thing.

I just don't like Ricky as a galan. He's prissy, he preens, he whimpers and whines and is almost never in a good mood unless he's about to boink Inez. Those ridiculous scarves are just icing on the cloying cake.

Now Leo is beginning to annoy me as well. I understand his irritation with his granddad but he seems to be overreacting.

I thought that Raquel was poised on the brink of redemption and now she goes and treats César so badly. I was hoping for them to end up together.

Carlos

The scarves are ridiculous, why do they get on some of that stupid stuff?
Hair extensions are another annoying thing, if they are going to have them, find someone that knows how to do them.

I like DZ, but better as the bad guy.

They really took a Mejia turn on this TN.

Do you live in California, CathyX?

No, Cynderella, I live in Portland. If you're ever in my neck of the woods, contact me. Where in California are you?

I was really excited about this show at the beginning. It was realistic and exciting, and I never needed my beanie. I thought finally, another good show like Amor Bravio. Then it took a wrong turn into crazytown and never left it.

I can't believe I didn't make more of a fuss over the bon-Bon that is Fede. Ay Papi!! That just goes to show how sleepy I was last night (or this morning).

I don't like DZ as a galan either. And this character is made to be really whiney! But I don't thin he was nearly as bad as Octavio in CI that guy had absolutely no redeemable qualities. Ricky loves Ines but he should express it in a more mature manner. "Do you still love me?" Gawd, really?

I don't think it's David Zepeda's fault. It's the writing and the actress he's paired with. He's written to whine a lot, and I don't think Mayrín Villanueva is the right actress for the part. I like what someone else said, (sorry I can't remember who said it), the actress playing Raquel should have gotten the part. She would be more realistic as a bombshell that everyone was drooling over. Mayrin should have played Raquel. She could have pulled off an aging beauty who was jealous of Oriana.
And while I'm changing things, I would have written it as Lucina being the one who betrayed Oriana, not Raquel, it seems more believable that Lucina, who didn't know Oriana before, would have not hesitated to go against her. Not her best friend.

San Diego. If I'm ever in Oregon. I will.

I love San Diego, I've told my husband I want to live there when we retire, but he wants to live in the Palm Springs area. Either way, we're probably going to live there eventually.

Paquita - Late to the party, but thanks for a great recap.

Palm Springs is hot! Come see me in SD. Ill show you around.
