Por Siempre Mi Amor #47 & 48 Let's All Help Isabel by Doing.... Nothing
Mary explains to the kids that although she loves them all very much she must leave because the police are looking for her. Borlas will be taking care of them. The kids let Daniel know that he'd better take good care of Mari or he'll have to deal with them. Big group hug. Mari lets Agatha know what's going on with her and the kids. Dante and Borlas watch her leave from behind the stairwell.
Esteban tells Ileana and Chris that someone tried to kill Ara and Isabel. The brake lines were cut and the air bags were disabled. What do they know about Javier?
Gabi tries to comfort Isabel. Nothing can ease her pain.
Gilberto plays chess with the Padre and tells him he has Daniel's future all planned out.
While having breakfast with Borlas the kids talk about Mari's situation. They don't want her to go to jail.
Sonia, wearing a little black robe, comes into the bedroom. She's in the mood. Unfortunately Feo only has eyes for the luscious confidential data on his computer. He rebuffs her and she leaves in a snit.
Arturo, Bruno and Dr. Caranza discuss Isabel's state of mind and what can be done for her depression. Bruno thinks Isabel is a strong woman and she'll be able to get over this "temporary crisis". Gabi comes in from checking on Isabel and tells them that Isabel seems a little better.
Dan takes Mari back to Gilberto's. Mari is sad about leaving the kids especially because she feels she can no longer trust Borlas. They need to find that nice woman on the motorcycle who said she'd help Mari. "What's her name?" "Tita."
I don't know why Uni cut this scene. It was powerful and beautifully acted.
Arturo enters the nursery. He picks up a toy, looks at it and sets it down. Gabi comes in behind him and he asks if she's going home. Gabi assures Arturo that she'll stay as long as Isabel needs her. Arturo thanks her for being such a good friend. As he leaves the nursery he pauses to look around. His eyes brim with tears. He shuts off the lights and slowly closes the door behind him. The nursery is empty and dark. For me this moment was every bit as emotional as the scene with Isabel climbing the stairs. The light in their lives has gone out, not just in the nursery but also in Art and Isabel's relationship and in the lives of everyone in the house. No one knows what lies ahead. For now all there is is darkness.
At breakfast Tita asks about Isabel. Bruno mentions that Gabi is with her. Ally sits up straighter. Bruno rises to leave and kisses Tita, then Ally who doesn't respond at all. Tita asks Ally if she wants to go on the motorcycle.
Before Arturo leaves for work he gives Isabel a card with the name and number of a psychiatrist that Dr. Caranza has recommended. Would she like him to make an appointment for her? No. She'll call. Arturo offers to go with her to the appointment. She says he can go if he wants. Arturo says Dante will take her anywhere she needs to go in Aranza's car until her own car is repaired. Isabel just stares ahead. Arturo is at a loss as to what to do.
Gabi, Aranza and Dafne are having breakfast. Dafne says something I didn't catch and Aranza chews her out. Gabi stares at Dafne. I think Gabi's got this girl figured out. Arturo comes in and asks to Aranza to come into the study with him.
Osvi and Baltazar park near Tita's house and spy. Tita drives by on her motorcycle with Ally in the sidecar. I'm not sure what Osvi thinks is going on, but he orders Baltazar to call Bruno. There's no answer so Osvi orders Baltazar to take him for coffee.
Feo is watching the GPS trackers on his computer. He notices one spot moving away from the house. He calls Aranza to find out where she's going.
Gabi asks about Aranza's new boyfriend Javier. Dafne says Aranza traded Esteban for someone old enough to be her father. Gabi is shocked, "Is he over fourty?" Dafne says, "He's old."
Gabi enters Isabel's bedroom to check on her. She hears the water running in the bathroom. Maybe Isabel is feeling better.
Feo watches the GPS on his computer. Aranza is headed to school. Who is in the other car?
Arturo visits the psychiatrist. They talk self-esteem issues and how it affects the way people handle a crisis or the death of a loved one. Arturo thinks that Isabel blamed herself for her parents death. He thought she had overcome it, but maybe the death of Miguel is just too much for her to handle.
Dante is driving Isabel somewhere. She asks him to stop because she wants to go on alone. He protests but still allows her to get in and drive off by herself. Dante wonders where is she going. He calls Feo to tell him Isabel drove off alone. Feo warns Dante not to tell anyone else.
At a restaurant Osvi is reading the menu. He frowns as several bikers pull up, enter the restaurant and make their way to a table. He calls them a "bunch of pigs." Dan and Mari enter and join the bikers. They ask about Tita. Osvi mouths, "Tita? Tita??" He shakes his head. It can't be.
Another motorcycle pulls up. The helmets come off and to his horror Osvi realizes it's Tita! Baltazar and Osvi hide behind their menus as she joins the bikers at the next table.
Gabi comes back to check on Isabel. She notices the shower is still running. She knocks and calls for Isabel but there is no answer. She tries the door. It's locked. Fearing the worst Gabi runs to get Lucha.
Mari talks to the group about the kids. She mentions the Padre. Tita asks Dan if he knows him. Dan explains that the Padre is a good friend of his father's.
Lucha uses her key to open the bathroom door. The water is running in the tub but the room is empty. Everyone panics.
At the University, Esteban talks to Aranza. He thinks that someone tried to kill her and Isabel. Esteban questions Aranza about Feo. What does she really know about this guy? He wants to know if Javier has an ex-wife? Aranza can't believe it. The questions make her mad. Esteban must be jealous... and he's also crazy. She storms away.
Feo is following the GPS trail in his car. He still hasn't located Isabel. "Where are you?"
Gabi calls Dante who tells her that Isabel took the car and went off by herself. Gabi wants to go look for Isabel but Lucha and Gabino think it would be impossible to find her since no one knows where she was headed. So they stand around wringing their hands and saying "Dios Mio."
Borlas, angry that Mari has left, tells Cuca and the Padre that Mari went off with some guy and abandoned the kids.
At the restaurant one of the bikers hugs Tita. Ozvi gets his boxers in a bunch over this. He and Baltazar leave in a huff.
Arturo lets Bruno know he's going home because Isabel's gone off to who knows where to do who knows what.
Isabel drives on. Her cell rings and rings but she doesn't pick up. Gabi, Lucha, Gabino and now Dante stand around wringing their hands and saying "Dios mio". Isabel stops the car next to a playground. I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing.
Sonia opens her door to Aranza. "What a surprise!" Aranza needs to talk. She's upset because she doesn't really know anything about Javier. Is he married? Divorced? Does he have kids? Sonia wants her to calm down. "But someone tried to kill me! Maybe it's Javier's ex!"
"Who put that idea in your head?"
"Esteban."
"Did you ever think that maybe Isabel sabotaged the car?" Aranza is smart enough to know that what Sonia is saying doesn't even make sense.
Isabel gets out of the car and makes her way to a bench. A young boy jumps off the slide and walks toward her. She smiles, "Hello. How old are you?"
"Eight."
"Eight years old." Isabel reaches out and smooths his hair with her hand. "Can I give you a kiss?" He runs and tells his mom who comes over and angrily berates Isabel.
"I didn't mean any harm." Still shouting at Isabel, the mom pulls her son away. Isabel walks off. Feo pulls up on the other side of the street.
Arturo rushes in to Gabi, "Have you heard anything from Isabel." "Nothing, she isn't answering her cell." Where could she be? Maybe she went to the grave? Maybe to the psychiatrist? No, she's not there. Should they look for her? Should they call the police? Instead, they stand around doing NOTHING.
Isabel stands at the highest point of an overpass. Buses, trucks and cars rush by on the busy street below. Tears fall down her face as she stares out and whispers, "I have nothing to live for." Feo is watching from the end of the overpass. "This is the moment I've been waiting for." Isabel puts her foot up on the rail and closes her eyes. As she leans forward Feo rushes toward her. He grabs her and pulls her back. She thanks him, but never really looks at him. He helps her off the overpass. He wants to take her somewhere else and talk. She agrees saying, "I'm not okay."
Sonia is angry that Aranza is defending Isabel. Aranza explains that they made peace in the hospital. Sonia accuses Aranza of forgetting her own mother. The mother who almost died giving her life! "Isabel's been good to me. Everything you told me has been a lie."
Sonia gives Aranza an ultimatum: "Don't defend Isabel around me or don't ever come here again."
Daniel wants to know about Mari's life. All he knows is that she sells stuff and takes care of kids that aren't hers. Mari explains that she never knew her parents because they abandoned her. She didn't finish high school. Daniel tells Mari how beautiful she is. They kiss.
Feo wants to know what has hurt Isabel so much that she wants to kill herself. (As if this rat-bastard didn't know. I just want to clobber him. With a big hammer. Several times.) She tells him her son died. Doesn't she have other family or friends? You don't want them to feel the same pain that you're feeling do you? He takes her hand. She pulls it away. He wants to see her again. He gives her a card with his number and tells her to call. Isabel needs to go home. She thanks him and leaves. After she is gone he sits back in his chair, "Isabel, you're still an idiot. You have no idea who I am."
Isabel arrives home. Arturo and Gabi tell her how worried they were (Sheeesh. So worried you didn't call anyone or do anything.) Isabel admits she did something stupid, she tried to kill herself. She's sorry. So sorry.
Feo arrives back at work to find a very angry Rodolfo. Where has he been? He doesn't pay people to screw off. Feo says he had a meeting with Isabel Lopez Cerdan and he's about to sell her some new security software.
Meanie gets a loan from the casino so she can gamble some more. She promises to pay it back.
Arturo asks why Isabel tried to do something so terrible. "You're not suffering like me. You don't know my pain." He tells Isabel they'll get through this together. "You need to see a doctor."
"Nothing can cure this." Isabel goes upstairs.
Gabi thinks they should leave her alone. (Okay, now my head is ready to explode. Isabel has just told you - her BEST friend - that she was going to kill herself and you think she should be left ALONE? Dios Mio!) Arturo breaks down. "I've been controlling myself for her. I can't let her see me fall apart." Gabi reassures him that the doctor and his love will help Isabel recover. Arturo goes up to talk to Isabel who is crying in bed. She just says, "Let me sleep." He tells her he loves her and always will and leaves the room.
Ally and Tita meet with the Padre. They've got to do something for the kids. The padre says they have land, but they need money and permits to build an orphanage. Guess who can take care of that? Bruno! And Arturo has a construction company!
Aranza comes in to see Isabel but she is sleeping. Aranza pulls the blanket up and Isabel stirs. "I didn't mean to wake you." Aranza is still feeling guilty about the accident. Maybe she should have listened and not gone so fast, maybe they could have stopped. She's so sorry. "It's not your fault." Isabel holds Aranza close. "I lost a son. I don't want to lose you."
Arturo is in his study. He's having flashbacks about getting Miguel's room ready and the doctor trying to save Miguel's life. He cries. Aranza comes in and asks about the car's brakes. He tells her the police will investigate. She notices he has been crying and wants to know what she can do. She'd do anything... He holds her and says he feels better seeing her.
In the morning Arturo asks Lucha, Gabino and Dante where Isabel is. They don't know. Dante says Isabel wanted to go alone. Arturo is understandably upset with all of them. Dante doesn't care.
Isabel is at the psychiatrist's office. She has Arturo and Aranza and her friends but they are no comfort. They don't understand her pain. It's blinding her to everything. I guess that explains the episode with Feo. Before she leaves the doctor tells her to try to calm down. (Okay, is it just me, or does that just sound stupid?) As she walks away from the psychiatrist's office Feo comes out from an adjoining hallway.
Advances:
Feo hugs Isabel and has a sneaky photographer take a picture. He sends the photo to Arturo who then confronts Isabel.
I wanted to end with this. What you didn't see on TV:
After they won the Super Bowl the Hawks did this. They prayed. |

I would also like a hammer clobbering rat bastard, please.
I was glad of got a few lighthearted scenes and not just misery.
Congrats to the Seahawks!
The conversation with Gaby and Daphne- Gaby asks, "why is there all the mystery with Ara's new boo", and Daphne says- "that Ara has gone from one extreme to another". She is dating someone who is old enough to be Esteban's dad". Gaby may be the key to solve this web of deceit. She has time to think and will slowly unravel the lies and deceit, that would be great.
Art reminds me of an ostrich who choses to put his head in the sand during a crisis, it seems to be a lifetime pattern. (I guess if he didn't, there would be no basis for the novela)
He should have never gone to work and left Isa alone. Work can wait. He likes things to run smoothly and I see the similarity to his dad. They don't like their feathers ruffled. The scene with Osvy and Balt was hilarious. Instead of Osvy oogling his "hot mama" in her biker gear, he is appalled that she is socializing with a bunch of "misfits" on a motorcycle nevertheless.
On the other hand maybe Ara can snap out of her fog and permanently realize that Sucia is nothing but a liar. Slowly what Sucia tells does not make any sense and hopefully she will be strong enough to break Sucia's lying hold and strengthen her bond with Isa.
The scene with Isa trying to commit suicide was very sad, overshadowed by that rat bastard. Yuck!!!! I guess through her depression she doesn't recognize that voice. Yes, I will help you, xint to clobber him with a gigantic hammer.
Yes, I too, wondered why no phone calls were made during Isa's disappearance too. I also didn't understand Gaby who is usually on point, leaving Isa alone at time whne she REALLY needs a friend.
Thank you for the photo, they are always a treat on Monday.
Isa is a grown woman who left of her own accord. No way would the cops go searching for her after a couple of hours. Sorry folks, there really was nothing else that Art and Gaby could do but continue to call her cell and wait. Mexico City is HUGE!
I was happy to see someone, Este, start to take this murder attempt seriously and make a connection to the only new shadowy figure in their lives, Javier. Keep digging, Este!
Nice to see Ara calling bs on some of Sonia's theories about Isa. Hopefully, she'll start to question all the things Sonia has said, especially the big lie that Isa and Art were lovers before her mom died.
Univision - herky jerky school of editing
Aranza - ain't buying yet. wait till you find out who she is ostensibly seeing on the side
Fernando - when did you buy the teleporter?
Sonia - ah, come on you can do better that that
Art - frustrating for a control freak with no control
Gabi - counting on you
Isabel - almost had you at hello, again
Dante - how is it you still have a job
Mari - oh, good for you and bad for you
Tita & Ally - all right! but when did that happen? Dammit Univision
Vivi, and even with a tracker how can Fernando be everywhere? I drove around for 3 hours just trying to find the National Museum of Anthropology
“Unfortunately Feo only has eyes for the luscious confidential data on his computer” and “Ozvi gets his boxers in a bunch” were terrific but your “The light in their lives has gone out, not just in the nursery but also in Art and Isabel's relationship and in the lives of everyone in the house” was beautifully written.
I think Feo is one (maybe THE) of most vicious villains - ever. He is always one step ahead. His "saving" Isa was simply so that her life would not end, giving him many more opportunitites to cruelly hurt her even more.
Agree that there is something Isa does not like about Feo. I wonder what will happen when she is introduced to him as Ara's boyfriend.
tofie: "...with a tracker how can Fernando be everywhere? I drove around for 3 hours just trying to find the National Museum of Anthropology". Still chuckling.
Loved the Isa/Ara scene. It doesn't appear Sonia is now able to get Ara to accept her vitrol about Isa. But, can Ara give her Tia up for Isabel?
Tablet jefa, I really like everything you wrote. Maybe Gaby (and Este as Vivi suggested) are indeed the keys to solving this mystery.
Agree that both Art and Gaby handled Isa's grief poorly but unfortunately that is the real life scenario in many instances. I was a little surprised at Gaby though who is usually shrewd.
Xint, thank you for the picture of the new super bowl champs! You did a fabulous job here. Thank you so much.
Diana
I'm trying to understand why Univision is chopping this up and here might be the answer. I can't believe this had such a lower rating than CI.
What they should do is what they did with QBA, which was to cram 1.5 episodes into a one-hour time slot with one commercial break. Start a little earlier, as they did with QBA, and cut out the filler that doesn't relate to the main and upper supporting characters.
Personally, I can so do without that street urchin stuff.
I don't know that there is anything effective one can do for someone in Isabel's position other than get her to a shrink.
She will need one more than ever at the end when she finds out who this bald creep is. I shudder at the sight of him.
Not quite buying Aranza's repentance yet.
With CI, because of the high ratings, it seemed to me they kept adding frivolous fluff to extend the thing but still daring me to put up with it. (I did regrettably and if the psychiatrist of Isa's any good may go see him)
OT and what will Univision do with the 165+ episodes of DQTQTQ if it's not a hit. I heard there were going to be 180+ episodes!
Does PSMA end in May in Mexico?
the gringo
DQTQTQ: I seem to remember Jarocha saying that this is doing fairly well in Mexico. Better that people thought it would. Not sure how it's doing now though.
http://ratingsmexicooficial.blogspot.mx/2014/01/ratings-mexico-miercoles-29-de-enero.html
It is interesting that Televisa expected an afternoon tn to continue with the same crazy high ratings that CI got. CI was a phenomena. Not the norm. And Refugio was also a surprise hit for the afternoon. Siempre seems to be getting fairly normal ratings for a show in its timeslot. They should just let it be-- both Televisa and Uni.
tofie-Bite your tongue! LOL
I am actually quite excited about DQTQTQ because of Cynthia Klitbo. I don't like that there are so many episodes. I've never seen a TN that needed so many episodes, and I doubt DQTQTQ is an exception.
It will probably have a crapload of filler.
there is is darkness.--- you also
wrote Ozzie gets his boxers in a bunch and leaves in a huff. LOL
The restaurant biker scene last night was a hoot. A much needed bright spot in a very dark episode
Tofie---you wrote--Gabi, counting on you. And I add, Esteban too.
So Esteban talks sense and Aranza gets angry---he's just jealous. Yeah right!
Meanie gets a loan from the casino
Oh No! Where is Maricruz when we need her? Is Meanie going to drive her family into poverty to pay off her gambling debts?
A very sweet scene with Aranza and Isa last night. Also a sweet scene with Art dad. Is Aranza turning around? Will So-not be able to pull her back into the darkness?
Art's blue coat and blue tie---It hurt my eyes to look at him last night. Who is dressing this guy?
Must see TV tonight. Art confronts
Isa with the picture. The explanation is an easy one but of course this is a novela.
the gringo
On that note I'm sure that Jose Montini is enjoying being a Jeeves in this series. It's a far cry from El Gordo in LFdD. The earliest thing on his IMDb page was Las Vias del Amor where he played a criminal in a cell block of real creeps that spend a dozen or so episodes torturing Gabriel Soto.
Urban, how long before Dante gets exposed as being involved in the baby's death ?
I'm still NOT buying Aranza's act. Not yet because when the truth about her mother's death is revealed, Aranza will be devastated.
I've seen repulsive villains before but I think that Feo-vier tops them at the moment.
Esteban still have influence with Aranza, maybe, but anyone could have mentioned the obvious. She doesn't know squat about honey bear but that didn't stop her from dropping Esteban like a hot rock.
Esteban, why in the world are you still talking to her, she is not your friend. She has used you as an emotional crutch and playmate since she met you. Used you, get that.
On a lighter note, Bruno, your mom and wife are getting quite chummy and will make it messy when you discard her. Nothing against you Gabi.
How about we put Jack Bauer of 24 on the TN to solve this, he would shut Feo up real quick.
Seattle is my home and I never thought we would ever have another championship here to celebrate. I was young when the Sonics won but this is the best. This is a special team including everyone in the organization as you can see in your photo.
Thank you Kathy and thank you Seahawks!!!
