Por Siempre Mi Amor #50 (U.S.), 2/12/14: FeVier Gets Busted, But the Raisin Gets Whacked

Mexico Episodes #61 & 62

Alternate Title: Fabricio Should Have Stayed in Monterrey, Away From These Crazy People

If I have time during the snow day tomorrow, I’ll look at the Mexican episodes and add things that Uni cut out. But our condensed Uni episode was filled to the brim with revelations and surprises!

Isabel is on the phone with FeVier making arrangements to meet up tomorrow. Gabi just wants Isa to get to the point, and kick the guy out of her condo. When she hangs up, Isa tries to downplay all the coincidences, which Gabi points out—he saved her life, then he turns up working for their internet security company, and now he’s renting her penthouse! He’s probably one of those obsessed stalkers. Gabi wants to tag along to the meeting. Isa downplays again. Gabi has been watching too much Law and Order-SVU.  Isa doesn’t think they should judge him just because he reminds them of Fernando, but she does want to figure out a tactful way of kicking him out of her condo.

Arturo reads the letters Katia left him. In them, Osvaldo tells Katia that she is the love of his life. Had they met years earlier (before he met his wife), then their story would have had a different end. Art can’t continue to read the letters, nor can he believe it. He calls Dr. Elias Caranza and asks him to come to the house right away. He shakes and holds his head in disbelief.

That night, Sonia arrives home, still marveling that Fabricio is Osvaldo’s son and Art’s (half) brother. Feo arrives and brags about how much success he’s having seducing her niece. And now that he knows Aranza is inexperienced, he is eager to plow that virgin soil and be her first. He is certain that she is VERY in love with him. Sonia isn’t surprised considering he’s been pulling out all the stops to romance Ara, just like he did with her (hmmm…a bit more back story on these two). Ah, but you see, that’s not enough for Feo. He wants to rob Ara of her will (voluntad)! He wants her to only see through his eyes. Since Ara is balking on presenting him to her parents, he’s going to keep trying to make inroads with becoming Isa’s friend. Who can resist Javier’s charms? He’s not like Fernando. He’s educated, well-mannered, classy, and she owes him her life. He loves the idea that Ara will be his (sexually) in the same place that Isa was his mujer. S: “You’re such a pervert, Diablo.”  He can’t wait for the day Art and Isa meet their daughter’s novio, and even more for the day when they learn who he is. Sonia points out that that will be the day he goes to jail. Feo is not worried. He has a plan. All this nefarious talk makes them horny and they start making out. All the while being recorded by the hidden camera Feo installed.

Elias arrives and, after much insistence from Art, admits that Osvaldo did indeed have a lover (Katia) and a love child. Isa arrives home just in time to see Art blow a gasket. “How could he?!...I just found out that I’m not the only child of Osvaldo de la Riva. I have a half brother who my father abandoned and never acknowledged.”

Gabi returns home and remembers Nick’s words about how Isa is taking advantage of her. The man himself appears at her door with a bouquet of flowers and an apology.

FeVier has Ara over for a romantic dinner at his place. Ara thought they were going out to eat. She’s clearly nervous and her hands are sweaty. FeVier tries to put her at ease by saying they don’t have to do anything that SHE doesn’t want to do. Their first intimate encounter will happen when SHE wants it to happen. He would never disrespect her. He pops the champagne cork.

Uni has clearly skipped some very important scenes, because we head to Tita’s bedroom where both she and Ally are bursting to tell their good news. Ally goes first. Tita’s going to be a grandma! No, she’s not pregnant, but Bruno wants them to adopt a child. Yay! Happy, happy, joy, joy, and hugs. Tita goes next. Osvi proposed, and she accepted! She shows off her gigantic diamond ring, teasing about its small size. More happiness, joy and hugs.

In their bedroom, Isa and Art are in their pjs but Art can’t stop pacing. Isa tries to calm him down. She points out that it’s hard to accept that someone we respect has faults, but no one is perfect, not even Don Osvaldo. What really gets Art is that Os has always thought himself to be better than everyone else. He held Art to such a rigid standard that it caused a rift between them for many years, and now he finds out he had a love child that he didn’t acknowledge! He is extremely disappointed in him. Isa gives him a calming hug.

The next day (who knows with these edits), Mrs. Raisin receives an anonymous letter with a cd and blown up photos of Sonia entertaining Adolfo, aka Mr. Raisin. Her eyes get all buggy and crazy and she starts cursing the Raisin. She knew he was cheating on her, and he’s going to pay!

At work, Feo has the cameras he’s collected back from Sonia’s place, and he’s erasing the videos from his folder. Being that this IS a systems security company, the Raisin automatically gets an advisory on his computer that someone at the company is erasing a lot of huge files. He clicks one open and it’s the latest and greatest of the secret recordings that he first sees- Sonia and Feo sucking face. He hears her call him Fernando too. Busted!

After the commercial break, the Raisin is ready for Feo. He calls him into his office, calls him Fernando, shows him the video of him and Sonia, and reveals that he researched the real Javier Castillo de la Fuente, a guy who died two months ago. If he and Sonia thought they could make a fool of him, they were very wrong!

Before he can finish his threats, Mrs. Raisin walks in, looking more crazy eyed than the last time we saw her. “What the hell are you doing here?” Wrong thing to say, Raisin. She throws the photos at him and asks who the woman is. Before he can answer, she pulls out a gun so large, it’s worthy of Dirty Harry. She tells him not to move, or she’ll shoot, and she doesn’t make threats in vain. FaVier tries half heartedly to dissuade her. She tells him to SHUT UP! The Raisin doesn’t come up with an answer about who his lover is soon enough, and ends up with a chest and gut full of lead. Goodbye Raisin. It was (not) nice knowing ya!

Art goes to see Os at his home, but he’s busy at the bank setting up a trust fund that will take care of Fabricio for life. He’s trying to make up for a great wrong that he’s done. Later, Art takes a walk and thinks back to when he dumped Marcela all those years ago to pursue Eugenia. He remember Os disagreeing with his decision and telling Art that he (Art) didn’t understand the significance of the word honor.  Yeah, the irony is killing Art and us.

Padre pays a surprise visit to Sonia. He tells her that he and Cuca have been keeping an eye on her kid all these years. At first she doesn’t know what the hell he’s talking about, but when he explains that he saw her abandon her kid all those years ago, and that Cuca told him that Sonia had been “raped”, ended up pregnant, and gave away the baby for fear of what Gil would do, her memory is jogged. Padre explains that now is the time to come clean because her BROTHER Daniel, and her DAUGHTER Marianela are in love, with each other! Sonia actually looks a bit worried about this. But her concern stops short when Padre says she has to meet her daughter and tell Gil the truth, now. He might disinherit her! Padre is gobsmacked that money is her only concern.  Sonia tries to play it off that what she’s really worried about is what Gil, who is so strict and structured, will think of her abandoning a child—he will disown her. Padre thinks he will understand once he knows how the child was conceived, and will be overjoyed to have a grandchild. Padre thinks Mari has a right to have a home, and to know that the boy she loves is her uncle (a bit too late for this, Padre!). Sonia agrees to meet Mari, and to tell Gil the truth herself. Uh huh. She fakes a few tears and says how difficult it was to leave her daughter. But she knew she’d be in good hands with the Padre. She thanks him for taking care of her child. Padre falls for it. What a dope! Later Padre tells Cuca the good news. She gets excited (she knew Sonia couldn’t resist the call of the blood). They are both fools.

Back to the popped raisin, the office workers come running towards the sound of the gunshots, including Fabricio. Guess who was that uncle he got a job with, when he left Monterrey and moved to D.F. to be with “English teacher” Sonia? Yep. The Raisin! Well, actually Mrs. Raisin is his mom’s sister. Should have known. They both have the same crazy eyes. He asks his aunt why she did it. She raises her arms and shrugs. “Because he deserved it.” Fab is impactado. (This is only the beginning of the madness, Fab. Just you wait.) While this all happens, Feo sneakily collects the evidence the Raisin got on the real Javier, the pictures of Sonia, and the Raisin’s little black book. He pops into his office, before heading to the police station to make a report, destroys the other evidence, and looks through the little black book. The contact info of the company’s millionaire clients are in the book, as well as the passwords for many of the large companies and agencies for which they do systems security. This includes the prison system. Feo goes into the state prison system, and erases all traces of his criminal past and charges. If he is discovered to be Fernando, there is no legal record of his crimes. Bwahahaha!

Later that day, Isa meets with FeVier at a restaurant and confronts him about all these weird “coincidences.” He tries to play it off, and assures her he’s not stalking her or coming on to her. She has apparently told him about Fernando and that he reminds her of him. He points out that it’s not fair to judge him based on this guy who did her wrong. He just wants to be her friend. Yada yada. He tries the whole song and dance, but Isa isn’t having it. She wants him OUT of her penthouse, anything related to the penthouse he should discuss with Hernan, and she doesn’t want him to EVER contact her again! Woohoo! FeVier points out that he already paid the whole year’s rent, and that finding a new place and moving takes time. Isa doesn’t budge, so he asks her for 2-3 months before he has to go. She agrees to these terms, asks his pardon, and then gets the heck out of Dodge. He then says to himself that he’ll never pardon/forgive her, and that she will pay for belittling him and destroying his life.

The three girls arrive at the hotel for their beach vacation. While Ileana goes to check them in, Dafne spills the frijoles from one of the many de la Riva family conversations she eavesdrops on. She drops the bombshell on Ara that her grandpa had a love child, and she has an uncle.  Ara finds this almost as hard to believe as Art did that Os cheated (put the horns) on her grandma. Ileana comes over and hears the new gossip.

Cristian wonders why Ileana hasn’t showed up at the church to help with their projects. Padre lets him know that Ileana and her girlfriends went to the beach for a long weekend. Looks like Cris is thinking about crashing their vacay.

Feo and Fab meet up at the police station. Fab is in real shock. Feo fakes it. Feo doesn’t have to do much since Mrs. Raisin has freely admitted her guilt. Fab knows his aunt has always been very jealous, but she never had proof. He asks Feo what happened. Feo says she got some anonymous pictures of the Raisin with his sugar baby, and that drove her to it.

At Casa Arte, neither Tere nor Gabi are happy that Isa just let Dafne swan off to have a long weekend at the beach. Gabi asks for the 411 on what happened with FeVier. She’s not happy that Isa shared info about her past with Fernando, nor that Isa is giving FeVier 2-3 months to get out of her condo. Mau interrupts to give them the hottest gossip about Rodolfo, aka the Raisin, being shot up by his wife.

Sonia’s at home, blowing up Fab’s phone because he hasn’t answered any of her calls. Feo arrives with the happy news. She’s free, free at last! Ding, dong, the Raisin is DEAD!

Mrs. Raisin shares some quality time with her prostitute cellmate. She wants the gossip on why she popped two caps into her husband. Fab comes to visit his aunt. She says she was tired of it! He had been unfaithful their whole marriage. Had she divorced him, he would have made sure she got nothing. At least this way she can protect Fab and his mom, whom she loves, by passing the money/company on to them, even though she can’t enjoy the wealth behind bars. She wants Fab to find that woman who was getting it on with his uncle. No. She doesn’t have a name, but she has photos. She left them in his uncle’s office. She begs Fab to promise to make that woman pay! He promises. Oh, boy!

Tomorrow: Art and Isa see Katia, and meet Fab, at the Raisin’s funeral. And they find out that Sonia is Fab's girlfriend!

Once again, thank you, thank you, thank you, Vivi- you are an angel!!
I haven't watched the episode yet. So I'm sure that there will be a lot to discuss.

TJ- You're welcome. It's an exciting episode(s). I think you'll enjoy it.

I really feel for Fab. He was living this simple life in Monterrey. Now, he's just witnessed his aunt killing his uncle. Soon he will find out that: his father isn't really dead, was never married his mom, was married to someone else at the time, never acknowledged him, that his mother lied to him his whole life, that he has a brother and a niece, his new girlfriend is a fraud and a murderer, that she’s had the hots for his brother for 2 decades, that she's the lover of his coworker (who's a criminal), and she was the lover of his uncle-- the woman he's sworn revenge on for his crazy aunt. Whew!

Ah, but Fabi is about to become very rich between what he'll inherit from the Raisins, and that trust fund Os is setting up for him. Sonia will be very happy.

Yes, indeed, this was a juicy episode.
I agree, poor Fab, you said it in a nutshell. What a wicked web that has been weaved.
Raisin gets whacked, great title and by his wife no less.
What bothers me is the FeVier thinks that by merely pressing delete on the computer everything will disappear, I don't think that its quite that easy. The Raisin had his prison information, he had to get it from somewhere, so FeVier just erased one source.
Poor Marianela, she definitely is better off without Sucia in her life. That poor girl.
Daphne is so full of information. She never has anything positive to say. What a drag. She loves to point out that adults lie but she has not learned from the mistakes of others nor does she want to.
Thank goodness for Gaby, she needs to smack Isa with the common sense stick when it comes to strangers.

Thanks, Vivi. A great retelling that left me slackjawed. Sra Raisin does not suffer fools gladly. Well, dang, I missed a good ep that was mine to recap, but Univision won't let me be great. Good stuff. My robot ID was 'tldoou fea'. LOL

Vivi this was terrific! Loved seeing Feo get caught by Raisin, but didn't expect the wild-eyed wife to pop him so fast. I thought she'd at least wait for him to get home and poison his dinner. So Crazy Lidia and Katia are sisters. Oz better watch his back. When you think about it, he's actually lucky he lived this long considering his amante's sister is nuttier than a fruitcake.

Fabricio is going to look for those photos in the office and when he doesn't find them and realizes the only other person present was Javier, will he put 2 and 2 together?

I can't understand the thought process behind why certain scenes are deleted and others are left in. It would have been nice to see Ozvi propose to Tita or how Bruno decided to adopt. Instead we get Art standing around at his dad's house. And Dafne tells Ara the news about her new uncle, but we didn't see her standing behind the door listening in on Art's conversation with Isabel. It was very weird to see Sonia have coffee with Fabricio and the next day go to his house to meet her "future mother-in-law". At this rate we'll be seeing anvils every nite!

Thanks to all you recappers and Vivi for filling us in on the missing scenes. I usually can't stand the filler in these tn's but some fill would be welcome in this one. There should be multiple "semanas despues" at least to show some continuity !!!

Thanks, Vivi!

You're welcome Anon. It's not the fault of the tn that the action is so choppy. These cuts are being made by Univision, who buys the tns from Televisa, and they wouldn't go back and place things in like captions to help the audience understand what happened in the scenes they cut. The original episodes clearly show the passage of time. The real shame is that with these edits we get the scenes that deal with the main action. But we don't get the sweet side stories like Bruno and Ally bonding with the orphans deciding to adopt, or Osvi proposing to Tita.

Elias - great friend you are

Art - the arbiter of all things salacious

Nick - Amscot

Gabi - Nick does have a point

Raisin - Bang bang I hit the ground
Bang bang that awful sound
Bang bang my baby shot me down

Sonia - where you gonna live now

Raisinette - when things add up at least you don't waller in delusion

Isabel - next he'll be the barista at the Starbucks you frequent but nevermind

Fab - bussed you in from Monterrey for cannon fodder

ABrat - you deserve it to be him

Vivi I cannot thank you enough for helping me make sense of this mess. With my sketchy Spanish, Olympic distraction and edits with an ax a godsend.

Vivi: Sheer excellence. Devoured every word from start to finish.

“she pulls out a gun so large, it’s worthy of Dirty Harry” and “ Mrs. Raisin shares some quality time with her prostitute cellmate” had me laughing away. Your recaps always convey the events so well – this was terrific(as always).

I hardly know Fab yet he is rapidly becoming one of my favorites. His life is indeed spiraling downward. Quickly. I'd wager he values people more than money so I don't think his aunt's money will be an effective balm to soothe the heartaches he will quickly incur. The poor guy!

At this point, I am completely disheartened by yet another Feo victory: “Feo goes into the state prison system, and erases all traces of his criminal past and charges”. Sigh.

Tablet jefa, I took heart from your comment and hope that there are indeed other computer networks (or whatever, I'm not an IS person) and that his records linger somewhere.

Any obstacle/person who gets in Feo's way is all too easily dispatched! Whenever is the tide going to turn for this monster??

xint, yes, the raisin was gotten rid of far too quickly wasn't he? "When you think about it, he's actually lucky he lived this long considering his amante's sister is nuttier than a fruitcake". Yes!

tofie "Isabel - next he'll be the barista at the Starbucks you frequent but nevermind". Good one!

It would be wonderful if Isa never had to set eyes on Feo again, but we know he won't let that happen!

Vivi, appreciate your very fine recap!

Diana

Feo and Sonia will continue to get away with murder until someone has the guts to expose their secrets in public.

How much y'all wanna bet Sugar Daddy had folks in his pocket in law enforcement to get the info on Feo ?

Aranza: She deserves to get sucker punched and when it comes in the end, she'll be disappointed.

This TN reminds me of Pretty Little Liars: the conspiracy gets bigger and body count gets higher.

Does anyone know who's the actress playing Bruno's wife?

Since Feo and Sucia keep their crimes close to the vest, the only way they'll be exposed is if they turn on each other. That's why Feo was so ticked off that Sonia told her girlfriend about him being alive and promised to make Sonia pay. I wouldn't be surprised if Sonia's friend ends up dead. They've already started keeping secrets from each other-- she doesn't know that he knows she spilled the beans to her friend, and that he recorded her and used that against the Raisin; he doesn't know she's dating Fab and plotting Plan B for her own long-term security since she doesn't feel like she can depend on him. They are bound to really turn on each other eventually.

Conservative Democrat- The actress who plays Ally is named Elena Torres. I looked her up a while ago, to see if she is really Spanish. Her parents are from Spain. Her dad's an international businessman, so she grew up in the U.S., Mexico (the biggest part of her life), and Spain. She's technically Californian/American. She was vacationing in Brazil with her family a few years ago and they ran into Alberto Castro, who at the time was auditioning people for roles in Teresa. Having never acted before, Elena got excited by the idea and auditioned. She got a small role as a medical student in Teresa, then a larger role in La Que No Podia Amar, and this is now her third tn role.

Diana- Thank you for your kind words. I'm so glad you enjoyed the recap. Feo really has a way of landing on his feet. We should think of the ten years cooled his heels in prison for some amount of solace. Considering jail didn't do the trick last time, I'm betting his final anvil will be death. It's the only thing that will stop him. Jail just makes him more determined and evil.

Univision is running very short ads for a "Bocadillo" during all the telenovelas. I looked up the word in a Spanish dictionary and it means "a snack". But that doesn't make sense to me. Can someone explain?

Gobluefan- Think of bocadillo as a bite, a taste. The translation in this context is a "sneak peek" of a juicy scene from tomorrow's episode, that wasn't shown in the stock previews at the end of the show.

Even if Fab doesn't figure out what happened to the photos that went missing from his uncle's office, there is a cd at his aunt and uncle's house of Sonia and the Raisin. Lidia went straight from the note, to the pics, to crazy murderous rage, that she didn't realize that there was also a cd in the envelope, which she had in her hand. I'm sure at some point Fab will stumble on it, and that will NOT be a pretty revelation.

Tofie- Now I have that Nancy Sinatra song running through my head all morning. Did you hear the updated version done for the recent update of Bonnie and Clyde? Loved your list today.

Haven't heard the new version but had the Cher version as backdrop to my nightmare

Tofie- Check out the video of the new version. It's by Nico Vega, done for the A&E miniseries Bonnie and Clyde, and this even has Spanish lyrics subtitles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C4lTHQzEbjk

aheaaah Haunting, gave me goosebumps, the bad kind

Tofie, Feo is the Nixon of this TN: coming up with schemes, dirty tricks and acting on them more than Nixon would dream of.

all he needs is some perspiration droplets on his upper lip and a dead ringer

Vivi thanks for your great recap. Wow, poor Fab indeed. He just gets in town and that list you made is like an anvil.

I just wish we could have more villain anvils as the show progresses. But honestly there really is no anvil that can bring back poor Miguelito.

As we watch the collapse of MPV, Uni's cut & paste of this tn makes me very angry. This is a well written and paced tn with great actors. And the secondary characters have very compelling stories; unfortunately those are the things the Uni braintrust cuts. Basta!

Add to this, Uni making it difficult to find the tn nonsense; this is just wrong. They slice up a good tn and then they wonder why we would try to find the ENTIRE episode. If they want to be the #1 network, they need to learn that viewers will not tolerate this behavior. Sorry rant over.

Karen- Amen!

ienheder thoseVivi---You're fantastic not only with your great recap but also with your informative comments.

What a show last night---I'm going dizzy trying to keep up with these family trees. This is getting so deep I don't know if Ancestry.com could even figure this one out. Brothers, Sisters, cousins, Aunts Uncles, half this,
half that, OMG, there's too many branches on this tree.

I really enjoyed all of the posts today---TJ, I hope that you are right and there is another computer file somewhere that hasn't been erased.

Tofie---Missed you yesterday but you more than made up for it today
Bussed in from Monterey for cannon fodder---Raisinette at least you don't waller in delusion
Nancy Sinatra? It's a good thing I wasn't drinking coffee when I read your list or my computer would have been ruined.

FeVier thinks that he's so smart,
he's got to slip up eventually but now he's got the black book.

Can't wait for what they have in store for us tonight.
the gringo

This ISN'T a spoiler - The Padre and Cuca want to "introduce" Sonia to her daughter, problem is, they've already met! Last week I was online trying to find the episode(S) I was going to recap for Monday. I was watching what would have been Friday's episodes. There was a scene where Mari was in the kitchen at Gilberto's. Sonia was visiting that day and she went into the kitchen and saw Mari. Sonia asked who she was. I didn't see the rest because I FF>> trying to find the spot where MY recap would start. Uni cut that scene from Friday's US version. So if we wonder why Sonia and Mari already know each other, that's why.

Thank you Kathy! That is really good to know, so that we won't be confused when (if) Uni actually shows the next meeting between Sonia and Mari.

The more time passes, and the more in love Dan and Mari become, the more upset I get. How can the two of them ever get over this once they know the truth of how they are related?

When Gil finds out, not only about Sonia's secret child that she dumped, and that Cuca and Padre knew all along, but also that they allowed his son and granddaughter to form a relationship, he might just take one of those guns of his and shoot Cuca and the Padre-- if he doesn't have a heart attack first.

I just Univision corporate another complaint about their editing of PSMA.

Sonia has already met her daughter and we didn't get to see it? Everyone should complain.
the gringo

Loved the classic Sonia Face when Padre was talking with her. First oops then how can I exploit this to my advantage.

Crazy musing but wonder if the money Nick is waiting on is life insurance money from a dead wife? Anybody know?

So Fab will have Ozzy's trust fund, Raisins cash and company from Raisinette and if Sonia gets part of Don Gils money they will be the power couple. She should focus her energy on getting rid of Fernando and call it a day.

Tofie- Possibly. Nick gets fidgety and emotional anytime his ex-wife is mentioned. There's something not quite right there.

Yes. Fab is starting to look like a very good investment for Sonia with all the riches coming his way.
