PSMA (Por Siempre Mi Amor) Recap #58 (Really #'s 77 and 78)- Let's make it a drinking game, everytime Cuca blows a gasket, you take a swig!
AD and Isa
are anxious about FeVer and 'Za who come home together. FeVer is rather smug
but hospitable. AD and Isa explain about why BrunBrun is staying with them
since 'Za states she saw his car out. Dena (my name for Almudena) and Bruno
enter and FeVer turns on the charm towards Dena who introduces herself and Brun
just gives a stale, "Que Tal." (kill them with kindness Brun.) The
gang heads to eat dinner in the dining room.
Soni walks
into the kitchen where Cuca is and she calls her name, thus startling our
lovely MAID(en.) You startled me, my apologies, I just wanted to see my dad.
It's pertaining to (cue) Marianela (who is walking into the room clad in a body
hugging mint/pink dress, straightened hair and stilettos. PLEASE no Maricruz
Olivares 2.0 with Borlas or Daniel as Oblivio. ) Cuca looks as if she has blown
her gasket of the day in this episode but is thougthbubbling about how Soni is
FINALLY going to talk with Gil. Soni (as if she can read minds) snaps her out
of it and asks if Gil is home once again. Cuca responds with a no but they can
wait in the dispatcho. They do so. Opp, Cuca has one more gasket to blow as she
prays to God.
Deleted Scene- Cuca is on the phone with the padre talking about how
Soni is with Mari. and could possibly FINALLY telll la verdad oculta. Daniel is
there eavesdropping and like earlier, Cuca is startled when he calls her name.
He asks about what time is Gil coming and speaking of the devil, he's home!
Deleted Scene- The gang is all
together for dinner and Lucha is gushing over 'Za being back home again. 'Za
thanks her for cooking her fave dishes but she doesn't take all credit. She
thanks Isa for the cooking instructions. FeVer pops up with how when you leave
home you miss for starters the food you're used to. He then tells about his
studies and BrunBrun aks if he studied in Spain or Mexico. He says Mexico. He
goes on about his family and Dena then says something about the most important
family in the city. Some jibber-jabber and then there are some intense stares
at the table.
Deleted Scene- Gil meets Mari and
they have a cool handshake (kind of.) DannyBoy introducts her but it becomes
obvious who she really is with her vernacular ("Te gusta como me prepare
para venir a tu canton guero?" really doesn't have a nina rica ring to it
does it?)
Deleted Scene- Tita and Oso are
together reunited and it feels so good.
Deleted Scene-'Za is apart with Isa
venting hjow she feels as if this dinner is cover for an interrogation of FeVer
(Well it's not like you don't need it right?) and Isa then says be realsistic,
we do need to get to know FeVer (err-Javier -darnfreudianslips-) better. Some
jibber jabber and Isa is right on the money when she states FeVer as Za's
boyfriend feels so planned and pre-meditated.
Deleted Scene- Some more
Gil/Mari/DannyBoy/CucaGasketBlower. He is asking how she met DannyBoy and she
says she met him at her sale spot (again, not something a rich gal like not her
would say right?) and he raises an eye-brow at this. Soni is there (she did a
good job at being quiet, it was as if she was invisible really) and says DB and
Mari have a gran historia de amor (No not MariMar and all it's spawn-offs or at
least I hope not.) whereas Gil begins to object with a thinly-veiled sarcastic,
"if you say so" whch results in some heavy feels. (Cuca offers to
bring some beverages to toast for toastings -sake but Gil states there is
nothing to toast about.)
Isa and 'Za have a heart-to-heart about
FeVer.
DannyBoy breaks the silence (instead of Cuca
breaking wind) by asking if GilDad is mad and asks what does he think? (He
could lie but spits out that he is festering in frustration (try saying that 5
times fast) DannyBoy is stressed and Mari stands up for herself saying he
probably thought she was some tall rich broad but that isn't the case. Some
heavy-feels later and GilDad banishes Mari from the house. Soni is just
watching this and Mari leave and she is probably worried deep down (you gotta
spelunk to find the worries in her heart.) (You know if Cuca would spill the
beans about Mari being Soni's daughter just as easily as she blows gaskets,
this would be a much shorter novela.) (By the way, ALL I see when I look at
Daniel is HIS VERY HAIRY CHEST!)
Deleted Scene- Some more Tita/Oso
togetherness.
Some more dinner/Isa'n'Za talking scenes.
Soni is now talking with Gil and she issaying
he must do something MORE DRASTIC! He must send Daniel to study at El
Extranjero.
More Tita and Oso.
Padre Adal and Cuca are talking about what
went down in the office and it's Padre's turn to blow a gasket (The things
people pick up from each other in this novela. Well when the girl is dating her
uncle unknowingly and has kissed him, what do you expect?) and he marches into
the office to see GilDad. After some beating around the bush, we get to the
center of the shrubbery maze wuth the padre saying he knows Marianela's family.
GilDad responds with an, "Oh do you?" PA then shrinks and says he
does but isn't qualified to give that info.
Mari and PechoPeludo are going through angst.
She doesn't want to drive a wedge between GilDad and PP. Tita comes in the nick
of time to ask what happened and PP says he will explain later. He wants to
know about Soni visiting the house first.
Some more dinner table stuff, Dena asks if
FeVer wants coffee or teas, he wants tea. (Everything about him is fake , his
nose, his personality, his crotch-thingshappeninprisonright?) 'Za and Isa come
back but 'Za is out again with FeVer, she thanks BrunBrun for the lovely
almendras he brought her from Spain (which served as an excuse for 'Za and Isa
to excuse themselves for their heart-to-heart.)
As the two walk out, there is some MAJOR PDA
with BonBon and Daffne Duck. 'Za looks devastated but seems to know how to
conceal as she is with FeVer so it shouldn't be obvious. Some jealousy is
spewed and everyone goes off to their destination respectively (Except for 'Za
and FeVer cuz you know.)
Daffne and BonBon are respectively speaking
with Isa and ArtDad. AD says he isn' t going to let BonBon rage-quit on Daffne
like he did to 'Za and BonBon says that's past him. After some talk, they
understand each other better and AD agrees with viewerville that 'Za threw away
a diamond for a rock. Now for Isa and Daffne. These 2 gals are discussing the
BonBon-'Za-FeVer love triangle.
Tita is consoling poor Bronce Mari after her
hell of an experience. (If it's like this now, imagine how it will be when she
realizes DannyBoy is her uncle.)
'Za and FeVer arrive at the apartment and he
calls BS of her denying jealousy of Daffne.
Fabricio and Soni meet at the room and just
begin to love each other.
'Za and FeVer discuss their relationship
standing and he doesn't want to tear her away from her family. He thinks she
should go back with them (to live with them at least.)

Once again, it's Wednesday and I have to apologize. I'm not sure what happened to the recapper, so let's discuss last night's episode.
TJ- Thanks for posting the discussion page. I actually want to look up the original 2 episodes, because I'm sure there was even more to that tense dinner party that we didn't see on Uni.
Loved the stern looks Padrino Bruno and Padre Art were giving Feo, along with the interrogation. Loved how they separated the sheep from the wolf, but having Isa casually take Ara to get Bruno's gift. Nice team effort by all of the adults (including Ally) to pin Feo down on his lies and to get Ara to open her eyes a bit. Feo did manage to keep his cool, even on the Spain questions. They did succeed in pushing Feo into encouraging Ara to move back home, to prove he is a gentleman with honorable intentions. That's a good first step to get her away from his constant influence.
Isa did not like hearing that Dafne is now dating Este. She knows the woman code. I think she was hoping Este would still be around for Ara when they finally get rid of Feo, too.
As for what went down at Don Gil's...Gil played right into Sonia's plan. I'm disappointed in him for being such a snob. I was impressed that Sonia dressed Mari decently. I was sure she was going to dress the poor girl like a ho. But I guess she figured Mari opening her mouth would be more than enough to convince Gil to send the girl packing, and then she added to it by telling Gil that Mari is only after Dan's money.
Those fools Padre and Cuca were shocked, SHOCKED, that Sonia did not tell Gil the truth about Mari, but instead let the Romeo and Juliet drama play out. Now Padre doesn't even know where to start the fight. Fight with Gil about his snobbery, when Padre himself also has strong reasons for not wanting Dan and Mari together. Or going after Sonia for not coming clean. What makes Gil and Sonia believe that Dan is just going to give up Mari and let himself be sent to college in the States? He looked pretty determined to me.

I couldn't believe it when they made the gussied up reveal on Marianela because I've now seen that same dress in 4 novelas: MENTIR PARA VIVIR (Mayrin Villanueva), LO QUE LA VIDA ME ROBO (Angie Boyer), LA IMPOSTORA (Begona Narvaez) and now POR SIEMPRE ME AMOR (Tania Lizardo).

RG- Do you think it's the exact same dress (unlikely given the vastly different builds of the women), or just a popular designer in Mexico? I have now seen it 3 times, and read the Impostora comments about it since the timing was close to when it appeared on Robo.
Perhaps this dress is the new Pear Robe? I'm sure it will disappear once the current color block trend ends, but we should now keep an eye out for it. Love that you got all four into your twitpic, RG. :)

Corazon, loved this! I especially liked the part about Sonia have to spelunk deep within to find her conscience, Sonia being invisible as Gil ran roughshod over Mari and calling Dan, Pecho Pelucho-Hairy Chest.
Any who, I haven't see this one in a bit but prodded on by Gil's snobbery, i was wondering why it isn't widespread knowledge that Sucia was a kept woman. Ara found out, iirc from another recap, that Sucia was a glorified escort when Raisin kicked Sucia out for having Ara staying in the depa he was paying for. I found it hard to believe a sheltered fresa like Ara didn't tell her friends, Tita or Este that her aunt was a glorified street walker. That knowledge getting out would start to unravel Sucia's facade. Plus, how did Gil think Sucia was caring for herself after he stopped before the time jump?
It just boggles my mind Gil was rude to Mari when his hijastra is so sketchy.

J- Sonia trained Ara well. Ara learned early to keep everything she spoke about with Sonia to herself. She did it for 10 years, most of those years she was a kid, so it's not hard to do now. She doesn't discuss Sonia's biz with anyone.
Sonia mentioned a a few episodes back to Feo that she and Raisin never went out. They only met in the apartment. That's how she was so sure Feo had betrayed her and recorded her in the apartment to send the pics to Mrs. Raisin. So it was not common knowledge around town that Sonia was a kept woman.
