TELEMUNDO Y MÁS: LA IMPOSTORA -- week of February 24, 2014

Here's your page for the week. Enjoy!

Obviously Raqhell has no shame and not as many brains as she would like to think, having her henchman kidnap the padre in full view of a group of kids. I guess she isn't giving them much credit either. Somehow I know that annoying Tita will find a way to blame Adriano since she is hellbent on believing he killed Memo.

Fernanda is in full revenge mode for not being able to get the guy who is in love with a ghost and goes to Raqhell to work for her. I'm wondering if Rafa who made a call to Blanca will mention it because Fer could blow up everything.

So now we have both Chris the Moron and Mariana the Mafiosa teaching little Sofia to lie. Nice pair and they have now added anvils to those already hanging over them.

Neither FB or Eduardo seemed overly taken with each other. One thing you have to say for Eddie, he is so not the usual galan. Most galans are so stupid you think they have had a lobotomy but he is questioning if his mother is as evil as he is being told and not denying the possibility. Whether or not he will eventually jump in the sack with someone else when he finds out who Victoria is remains to be seen.

The inevitable wardrobe moment — what was with that hideous thing Socorro was wearing, glow in the dark shower curtain? And even Fernanda's dress look like it was made out of some cheap material. I just don't get it.

Good point, Decie--about both Cris and Mariana teaching Sofie to lie. She who detests being lied to and nearly disowned her dad for the "your mother is dead" lie. Wait til she finds out Victoria is not Victoria and has been royally deceiving both her dad and her.

And to continue in the wardrobe moment, who wears a matching bra and blouse unless you intend to remove the blouse. I liked the yellow blouse Raquel had on but I was startled by the bright yellow bra.

Hey, Fernanda. Was it you or the writers that slipped up. Your big revelation to Rawkell was that Adriano had purchased a ticket to fly to NYC. Excuse me, but does Adriano not have his own plane? Or if not, he chartered that small executive jet on the runway? I didn't see him go through Security, haha. It would have been enough for you to say you were on the runway with him when he got a phone call and changed his mind about flying.

I know he had planned to take the whole Guerrero clan to NYC, but that didn't have to be on a commercial plane either, especially since Memo would have had to be evacuated on a stretcher.

About that CHIP. Padre C. is supposed to be technologically backward or inept, although he did figure out how to find the video and run it. So when Big Menacing Guy asks where the chip is, Padre speaks up right away and says he doesn't know, you took the telephone. He should have said what's a chip, I don't know what you are talking about...just to make it a bit more realistic. So, Padre knows about chips in phones. I didn't. I know about extra memory card for cameras, but that's about all. I guess I'm more backward than Padre.

While Raquel had Padre tied up in the warehouse she mentioned that only Memo, Padre and "esa otra" who meddled, knew about Val's bebe besides herself, was Raquel referring to Melania?

If Raquel is so smart, and so intent on keeping this secret baby a secret, she should have had "accidents" happen to Memo and the Padre a long time ago. But then we'd have no story, eh?

Yes, Fernanda and Tita will manage to make life difficult for Adriano. I'm surprised Fernanda didn't step in really quick and try to cover up where she and Rafa first met. I guess she didn't know what his position was there and if he would back her up or not. I wish we could have followed through. Did the scene continue with Raquel grilling Fernanda or did I go make coffee at that moment. Hmmm.

So Luciana was CIA, or whatever secret police equipo she was on, she went into "police interrogation mode" with Eduardo. No wonder he tuned her out.

Actually I thought Adriano merely said she was a private investigator. Ed doesn't want to hear the things he is hearing but they stick with him which is more than can be said for Chris. Jorge too has the same need to deny by the smarts not to be able to.

I agree that Sofia isn't going to like the Victoria lie but she loved the Blanca from the New Year's Eve party so I suspect she will be less hard on her than she was with Eduardo. Also by the time she finds that out she will probably have also learned what a lying beyoch her mother is and that her loving Tio Chris is a liar too. Consider too that she will find out all the other Altamira lies. Her grandfather Adriano (I'm still on the Ed Train) better bring in a child psychologist stat.

The good padre could have pled technology stupidity. In fact Pepe had to show him how to view the video so he could have gotten away with it. I know phones have chips because when I replaced my old one I saw them switch them, however they are small not that honking big one that Pepe gave to Hugo for safekeeping which looks like the memory chip for a camera.

Thinking about the baby thing Leo, Raqhell, the padre, Memo and Melania knew about it. Raq has something over Mel which is keeping her quiet. I seem to remember a conversation very early on when she seemed to be warning the woman about something and mentioned her family.

When Fernanda went to offer herself as an ally to Raqhell, all I could think of was here are the two cheapest, ugliest wigs on Telemundo, now facing each other across the table. Wig Smackdown.

Also, if Fern is bent on revenge, is she also going to "out" Blanca?

Please, what lie are Mariana and Chris feeding Sofia? I'm still suffering from missing captions. THanks!

J in OR--
Cristobal's lie for Sofia is that she's not supposed to tell Ed that Mariana came by to pick her up to spend the day with her. He was relieved when Mariana brought her back on time to keep up the deception.

When Mariana brings Sofia back to the house after spending the day together, she reminds her that under no circumstances can her daddy know about their spending time together--it's their secret. And if Melania asks, it was Cristobal that left her there.

J

Chris is sneaking Sofia out to see her mother against Eduardo's wishes and having her lie about it. Mariana does th same but now she wants Sofia to tell some white lies to throw an oar into the Chris Catarina relationship. It is funny in a way that Sofia who is still ticked off at Victoria for not going to her party still isn't letting Mariana hug her or get all mommy lovey with her. Deep down she doesn't trust the woman although thanks to the great fake kidnap she thinks her mother is a superhero. I'm just hoping that one day she sees Rafa at Mariana's or someplace else and points him out as the kidnapper.

And I am ticked that Eduardo is letting the child think that Mariana gave her the computer not Victoria. I'm guessing he doesn't want to come across as always putting the witch down but he isn't being fair to Victoria on this one.

J in Oregon, I think Chris' lie is that he's enabling Mariana to spend time with Sofie despite Eduardo's restraining order. He asked her not to tell Eduardo.

I don't think we exactly know Mariana's lie yet, at least I don't; but I sort of think it has something to do with her continuing effort to convince Chris that his fiancé is two-timing him with Ramón.

I didn't think the priest knew that the clever little orphan (is it Beto?) had removed the chip from the phone. I thought he thought that the evidence had disappeared when the thug grabbed the phone. But he himself, having watched the video, could testify. THAT isn't under the seal of confession.

Jonathan Islas has now played a trifecta of annoying characters: Lucas Del Monte in Los Herederos del Monte; Abel Torres in Flor Salvaje; and now Christopher, who may be the most annoying one of all. I'm completely bored with watching Mariana play him like a cheap violin.

What's Fernanda's game? Her biggest card to play is that Blanca is Victoria. But she holds that one back and goes with helping Raquel frame Adriano for murdering Memo?

I'm fast losing interest in this one. En Otra Piel is much better.

When Rafa outs Fernanda as having lived in his barrio, we were left with Raquhell's cara de impactada. When we returned to them, they were shaking hands and Raquevil was welcoming Fer to her team--the good guys.

So Raquel's finding out anything else about Fer was off the record. Shoot. I would have loved to see her getting grilled as to why she was living in the barrio and how did she know Adriano (she did say at first that it didn't matter how she knew him). Being a embedded journalist doing story about working class people who work for the Altamira's naviera might pass muster, so I'll give it a pass.

Thank you ladies for filing in the blanks about Sofie and the Liars.
always seem to be one square short of a layer cake.
:o)

Wednesday...what was that odd little flashback of Eduardo's of a little boy hugging his mommy?

Also: Is the massage therapist/hit man dead? He should have turned the gun on Raqhell when she handed him the gun and said "either you shoot the padre...or I shoot you!". I guess she took a moment out of her busy day to speed-dial some local thugs to come and kill the hit man, tie her up, and re-kidnap the padre.

J in Oregon

J

The hit man was merely knocked out or pretending to be. Say what you will even he had problems with the idea of killing the padre who wisely kept on about what a sin it would be. You have to hand it to Raqhell she does think fast on her feet, getting additional help and turning herself into the victim. Of course I won't bother to wonder why she knew the cops were coming or would find her in the first place.

Fernanda is now revealed to be the jealous lying beyoch that she is. She won't betray Blanca because she doesn't really care about that part of the plan. Her real goal is to stick it to Adriano and hurt him and what better way than to spread dirt in the barrio with the very willing, totally annoying Tita and her skank niece and by linking up with Raqhell all the while knowing the truth.

Adriano's problem is that he should have told Blanca he saw Memo when he was dying. Blanca stood up to Fernanda when she told her Adriano was evil but I'm wondering if her loyalty and affection for the man will give him the time to explain or if she will turn her back on him.

Domingo didn't believe Adriano when he thought he might have been responsible for Memo's death but Socorro did and technically betrayed him again by going to Fernanda. Adriano does have one ace in the hole-Pepe who heard him accuse Raqhell of murder and who knows it is true. The little boy will probably trust Adriano and tell him what he knows once the ax comes down and it will. I can count on one hand the number of TN's I've seen where some innocent soul didn't get carried off to the carcel for a crime they didn't commit.

Correct me if i'm wrong but I though Raq called Fer a lawyer not a journalist. The journalist in the barrio was just a cover for the original plan. In any event I don't think Raq much cares for her but she will use any ally she can get and since both of them are out to destroy the same man for the same reason it makes sense.

Rafa now has his hands full trying to figure out how to get Catrina and Ramon into bed. I guess Mariana will have to dip into her drug supply (I'm sure she has one) to help. That should be in teresting.

Here's something for us to chew on. I was on another site and the speculation was that Leo was Adriano's father and that is why he went along with breaking up Adriano and Val. I don't buy into that but how about if Rafa was Leo's son. Tita gets all nervous when he asks questions and wouldn't that be a hoot sleeping with his own sister.

Ack! you are right Decie...Tita clammed up when Rafa asked who his Dad was; she just said it wasn't Memo. So, more missing parents.

Also, at the beginning Adriano did refer to Fernanda as an attorney. Can't recall what her cover story was when she moved into the barrio...but the journalist story was for Raqhell's benefit.

J in Oregon

Decie Girl--Fernanda needed a cover to give the folks in the barrio for her reason to move into Ramon's place. That's where the journalist label got started. Then she actually made an appointment to see Raquel quite awhile back--AS A journalist.

If Fer revealed her real role to Raq this time, I missed it. With the information she passed on, little as it was, it probably served to uncover the journalist part and her relationship to Adriano had to be explained. Since she IS a lawyer, she might not have wanted Raq to know that.

I thought massage therapist/thug was dead when I saw him on the floor. I don't remember seeing him afterwards. Just Raquel in the hospital. She looks better to me with less eye makeup, more normal, if that's possible.

ITA, the timing for her to untie Padre, call her spare thugs, spirit him out of there and have thug #1 shoot her superficially--unless she did it to herself--and get tied up, was stretching it a bit. But then she probably only needed about 15 min. It probably took the police that long to get there, surround the place and break in. They sure made enough noise outside.

I meant J in OR--in answer to Fer's cover.

The thug was lying at Raq's feet and he groaned and moved so he isn't dead or probably just knocked out but we didn't see him again. I'm pretty sure Raq has another use for him like kill Blanca but time will tell.

Yesterday i said that Eduardo wasn't the typical lobotomized galan so of course last night he began to show the first signs, instantly believing mommy dearest and not listening to Victoria.

Chris kissed up to mommy with the flowers but when she got on him he bailed and went back to the barrio so he isn't caving like Eduardo.
This story is moving fast and I'm always curious about what will hit us next. I actually like it that we aren't getting a lot of explanation for things and we don't get entire conversations. It keeps the suspense coming and me watching every night. You don't dare miss an episode unlike so many others where you can take a week off and not much happens.

Decie Girl, it was Jorge who brought flowers, not Cristóbal. I'm totally ready for Catarina to give Cris the heave-ho. Of course, women in TN's don't behave that way. But if I were writing it, she'd say: "OK, jerk, you don't believe that I'm faithful to you and I'm pretty sure Mariana is dripping poison into your ear, so I'm going to look around for a man with some cojones. And you can go on swallowing Mariana's lies."

And, speaking of dummies, Eduardo keeps being threatened by Mariana with a custody suit. Why doesn't he get going with a private detective and find out she's still seeing Richie, instead of having escaped from him - her current story?

Well, it seems I fell asleep for the last 10 minutes of Tuesday's episode.

So, Raquel is now stating that she and Padre were kidnapped together. She called Clemente (massage/thug) by name. How does she (and we) suppose that Adriano had the gall to kidnap HER majesty along with the Padre. Why, anyway.

Poor Catalina. Why on earth did she lie to Cris, the Boob, about seeing Ramon in the orphanage? He could so easily check with Sofia. She's digging a hole for herself, but I agree with Novelera. She should just kiss him off. Too bad Diego is her brother.

Now I understand why Decie said Rafa has his hands full trying to get Catalina and Ramon in bed.

And at least Rafa knows Fer is really an attorney. That came during their tete a tete in Rafa's luxury suite.

Ok, it's almost 8. See you all later.

Eduardo has finally become a lobotomized galan. What an idiot, telling Victoria it's Adriano or us. For all intents and purposes Adriano is a business associate so why would he think he has the right to tell her who her family should do business with? It's obviously this kind of thinking that got the Altamira's in trouble in the first place although that one belongs to Chris.

Eduardo is not doing Sofia any favor by allowing her to think her "loving" mother gave her the computer and he is doing nothing to see why the child has turned on her BFF Victoria the way she has.

The title of this story should be changed to Six Orphans and Counting. We have Rafa who considers himself one, Ramon, now Adriano as well as Snoopy, Hugo and Blanca. We don't need to be hit over the head with Ramon's, endless I'm an orphan and if I lose my skank novia I'll have nothing. YAWN!

Looks like Rafa doesn't have to plot to get Catrina and Ramon in the sack since Chris is now set to dump the girl (and lucky for her).

I don't know how many times I can say it but Raqhell is a piece of work. She is pushing Chris to marry the governor's daughter in a loveless marriage because she needs the man for her protetction, pushes Eduardo to make up with Victoria since she needs her familiy money and the piece de resistance blackmails Adriano to join her and Victoria in business. That may work out very well for Adriano and not so good for her.

Fernanda the viper got a nasty shock when Adriano confronted her over her behavior. Don't think she thought she would be outed so fast.

Hear! Hear! Decie Girl! You covered the action very well, I have nothing to add, but am watching and reading carefully.

Now that Raquel has spouses lined up for Eddie and Cris, she should occupy her time with finding someone for Jorge. There aren't too many eligible bachelorettes sitting around. Maybe she'll try for Fernanda????

Oh, now wouldn't this be an interesting scenario. Adriano has mucha moola. Why doesn't Raquel resurrect Valentina and let them marry? She'd be ahead in the money department and Adriano and she could stop being enemies (I'm just kidding).

The VickEd breakup didn't last very long. I don't know, she always seems so cold and distant with Eddie. I'm ready to admit that the FB is a better match.

Anita

I wish we could see what is happening with Val. She has to return some time and hopefully not as a drugged out zombie. Adriano always seems to be somewhat even keeled in his search to make the Altamira's pay but i'm betting he would go BSC if he knew his love is alive and has been so brutally mistreated all these years and then would the fur fly

Victoria does seem to blow hot and cold and I guess she is conflicted knowing she is lying and at the same time trying to hide how much she truly hates Raqhell. I found it interesting that Sofia said Victoria acted oddly but of course she isn't referring to what we know but how the woman seemed to blow her off.

I don't think I've ever seen a TN that has moved at the pace this one does. PSMA started that way then bogged down and Pobres moves at a glacial pace. I laughed the other day when someone talked about Pores having a big cast which was probably why it is slow, while this one has a bigger cast and it still moves. I'm also glad we don't get all the details of a conversation and are left to wonder, fill it in for ourselves as the writers weave the tapestry of what the story is. It's being written like a good mystery story for adults.

I know this TN is all about Blanca/Vicki but I don't like her period. Maybe it's Lisette compounded with her attire and demeanor. Oh well.

Sofia - yep she is odd

Fernanda - get over it you two didn't look good together anyway

Karina - you shameless lying hussy

Ramon - you saw it, heard it but still won't accept it

Chris - and with mammas permission you wasted no time

Mariana - gotta lot of irons in the fire

Raquel - now why didn't you propose a partnership earlier

Cat - sweet, goodhearted and beautiful

Hugo - definitely related to Blanca

Decie Girl--

I'm also glad we don't get all the details of a conversation and are left to wonder, fill it in for ourselves as the writers weave the tapestry of what the story

Sometimes they do, but we are not left wondering very long. Take the "broma" Mariana is playing on Cris with Sofie's help. We don't hear her describing it, which normally we would want to hear, but we find out in the same episode.

I complain about a lot of things, but you are so right. I can't even leave the room to make a cup of coffee. The commercials aren't long enough (haha) for me to get back before I've missed some dialog or some action.

Tofie-- Excellent phrases for the culpables, as always.

BTW-- What WAS that *thing* Victoria had on when she first came to apologize to Sofie? It was the strangest looking outfit I've ever seen, like b&w print cut in strips and wrapped around her. Were those hot pants or a too short skirt, anyway.

Decie
Yah it's true, we get to speculate and wonder, and usually they come back and fill in the blanks...except if we are in the kitchen getting coffee, we miss it.
That outfit of Victoria's was pretty odd. I wonder if up-and-coming designers pay someone to have their clothes appear on the show? Wish we had screen shots of all of them.
Fernanda looks like an angry rabbit with those teeth...a rabbit in a cheap wig.
I still do not get why Eduardo didn't set Sofia straight about who gave her the laptop. Vicky was right there five feet away...and yet Sofia thinks Vic didn't come to the party.
J in Oregon

J in OR--
Eduardo is delinquent in that Vick gift thing, but Victoria did "come" to the party. It was just long enough to spot Ramon, hand someone her gift and fled. You're right, I don't think Sofie saw her.

He's had plenty of time to sit down and talk to Sofie about the mix-up in the presents, but I doubt that Sofie would believe him at this point. She's digging Mariana too much right now.

Ah, Raquel, how close you came to getting your hands on the chip. Your wheels should be turning fast.

So if Raquel is the Ice Queen, then Blancoria is the Ice Dutchess. She's definitely not a princess in any way, shape or form, icy or not.

When Sofie and Vick had their "make up" session, Sofie made a hurtful remark about already having the doll Vick had given her.

WARDROBE DEPT. MALFUNCTION
Last Night we got the Patchwork Girl of Oz in that neon outfit. Luckily, she changed back into her old blue dress before the end. If designers are paying to have their work shown, it must be a lot and the wardrobe dept. is holding its nose. I can't believe that Lisette hasn't mutinied, or has she even seen herself (especially from the rear in that patchwork quilt).

I really like FB better than RealB. Now I got that she was an undercover police agent.

Lots to discuss, so little time. I'll have company into next week and won't be able to watch the episodes until much later and until then won't have any comments to make. I'm not abandoning this foursome + one occasional novelera.

Anita - don't worry about missing anything next week I'll double comment to keep you up to speed and to ensure that we have enough comments to keep our own page. LOL

In the Wardrobe of Horrors who in the name of God designed that grotesque shocking pink thing Catrina was wearing. It looked like a sack with a belt around the middle to keep if from falling off. And while we are on the shallow stuff I do wish she would cut her bangs. They cover her eyebrows, a look I hate and it must be distracting to the actress as well.

So Jorge the Simpleton tells Leo that FB is an impostor. If Leo the Spineless tells Raqhell Rafa's fanny will be in the fire since he gave her a picture of FB. Rafa is threatening Blanca so one of the fakes could be exposed tonight or maybe not.

Mariana, Corruptor of Young Girls, has done a bang up job on Sofia and now with Snoopy. Looks like we have the possibility of two Altamira boys ending up being caught in bed. Can't believe that Mariana always has a Plan B when her original one goes down the tube.

So the infamous chip, which has now morphed in size from a camera sized on to one that looks like a battery, has switched hands yet again. I'm probably not the only one who had her heart stop for a moment when Raqhell got her hands on it. It is a good thing for everyone involved that all the adults think it is just some kid thing. Pepe is a sharp kid and recognizes the danger of it all so why did he go along with Hugo and the idea to get the chip into Sofia's phone.

Our lobotomized galan is now packing his bags and leaving town with his child because Victoria won't stop doing business with Adriano. He is starting to act more like the spoiled, entitled Chris.
At this point Blanca is better off without him and his demands.

It occurred to me that Eduardo has been incredible selfish in his recent dealings with Victoria. The girl's father is dying of cancer and yet he shows her very little sympathy or understanding. Obviously he fears her becoming like his mother but under the circumstances he should understand that her priority now has to be Peter and his business.

And why is Raq who is hellbent on getting Eduardo married to Victoria and her bank account trying to plant the seed that there is some kind of personal connection between the girl and Adriano. Seems counterproductive to me.

Wardrobe Police: yes, they didn't do Catalina any favors with that bright pink sack dress.
And Victoria's dress--please! It was "loud enough to wake the dead...and make them want to be dead again".

I was glad to see Ramon was wiling to work with Jorge for the benefit of the orphans. It was a surprise to me when Jorge saw the family pic that Leon had...how did it come to Leon's hands--did someone give it to Raqhell?

J in Oregon

wow, with you guys on Cat's dress balloon it actually looks like some silk Chinese lanterns and god that dress Vicki wore looked like a beach towel I had in the 80's.

FB - don't act subservient to Vicki you can walk in heels

Mariana - your daughter your most productive ally

Vicki - yuck

Rafa - busier than a one armed paper hanger

Jorge - took the car out without permission

Ed - yes go back to the city crazy will wear off on you

Chris - how in hell did Cat fall for you

Padre - now if you were MacGyver you'd be out of your bonds already with a lighter, beer bottle and cigarette butt

Raquel - someone remind the bitch she is bout to go bankrupt and could be bought for pennies on the dollar

If we ever had any doubt about which side Rafa was on all doubts are now erased. Its Team Raqhell all the way and now as an active participant in the murder of FB and the Padre he will be sent off to the carcel and break Tita's heart.

Our two little schemers got their way luring Altamira's into bed while for one it worked very well the other not at all.

J in Oregon - Socorro brought the picture of Memo and family to his old friend Leo. This was right about the time that Rafa gave Raq a picture of FB,

The conversation between Jorge and Leo was interesting as Jorge told him it might have been to protect Blanca from his mother. Leo the Spineless poo pooed that idea, his daughter would never hurt someone. Under what rock has this man been living. I now wonder once the deaths are discovered and confirmed if Leo will wake up and smell the coffee and realize how evil Raqhell is.

Laughed while Adriano was laying on the charm with Raq. You could almost see him crossing his fingers. So Raqhell thinks that as a young girl she was a dreamer, he laid that one to rest and said no Val was the dreamer. Of course Raq didn't want to talk about that. Adriano also made it a point to say he wasn't interested in young girls when she kept on about his relationship with Victoria.

The fateful chip has now been seen by Mariana. Sofia didn't make good on her promise to keep it safe and what ever happened to the sweet, smiling little girl we first met. She has now turned into a liar and a sneak curtesy of her mother. The child is in for a rude awakening one of these days. I'm also wondering if she will ever cross paths with Rafa and recognize him as her kidnapper.

The best scene so far when Cat went to the condo to bust Chris. Julieta Grajales is awesome.

Leo - you are so full of s...

Vicki - I'm with Sofia, still don't like you and too bad you are central to the story

Simona - well that's one way to get some

Jorge - sure, she can keep a secret

Padre - jailbreak but who would have thought

FB - please tell me ya'll jumped before the crash

Mariana - thanks for getting Cat away from Chris

Chris - explain what exactly

Ed - listen to me, take your child and run

Val - I've forgotten what you even look like

Cat - you don't see it now but you dodged a bullet

Rafa - you sleazy, slimy, snake

Anita, it's "occasional novelera". This one had backed up on the DVR because I like En Otra Piel much better and, of course, Camelia la Texana is a new toy. I really can't keep the pace of watching three, so something's gotta give soon.

I think the premise of this novela is a good one, but the result hasn't been that good. I'd never seen Lisette Morelos in anything before. I'm stunned by how beautiful her eyes are! But, to me, her acting is SO wooden. I think I'm too old to have my heart throb at the sight of Sebastián Zurita. Plus, and I know I'm in the minority here, I like my galanes clean shaven. He's a decent actor, but the writers aren't doing him any favors. It WAS ridiculous that he told Victoria to choose between Adriano and him.

Mariana falls into the well-worn category of supposedly smart and sexy villainess whose plots always work out. It's disgusting she's gotten away with fooling Sofía the way she has, especially since she probably wouldn't spit on the kid if she were on fire if "Richie" weren''t threatening her life.

I suppose they're going to go with Catalina (or is it Caterina, I'm not sure) finally ending up with Cristóbal after Mariana has wrung all the juice out of him. That would be completely unjust.

The one actor I enjoy in every scene is Manuel Landeta. It was particularly enjoyable watching him play Raquel like a violin. He knows she's still got a thing for him, and he's working it.

Tofie: I loved your comment on Chris: "Explain what, exactly".

Novelera

I've been a big Manuel Landeta fan for years and have seen him play very bad to very good with ease and believability.

Like you I hate the scruffy look and wouldn't let a guy near my sensitive skin looking like Seb does.

Lisette is wooden and too old for him and it shows but you take the good with the bad.

I tried Piel for a while and just can't get into it. i don't care for Laura Flores to start with but love JLP but even his hotness couldn't get me through it. Aa for the new narco number no way, they are always too violent and dark for me.

I hope Catalina gives whiny Chris the boot and doesn't cave at the end. He really doesn't love her and she is one of the few female characters in this one who deserves a good man. Too bad Diego is her brother.

I don't like Tita, Karina, or Rafa. There is some serious bad blood in that family, a gossip, a skank and now an accomplice to murder.

The one really food thing about this is how fast it moves. We learn something every day no like some of the others who drag, and drag and then repeat the same info over and over again.

Decie Girl, I can't resist! At least in narco novelas I haven't seen anyone off a priest! That seems pretty dark and violent to me.

Tofie, Novelera: "Explain what, exactly?" Me too! What is there to explain, jerk? She had better not take him back!

Dang, I am so sorry Rafa has gone totally to the dark side. I enjoyed watching him walk the tightrope between his greed, and his regard for Blanca and her family. I have been in denial. I didn't quite follow the deal about Padre Camilo's missing car but apparently the whole "escape" with the brakeless car was engineered. Could Camilo and FB have been thrown from the car? I saw no seatbelts...

BTW count me among those who find Lisette Morellos (Blanca) stilted and without charisma--I just don't care what happens to her. Her facial expression never changes.
J in Oregon

Down with the scruffy look, shave

Lisette has pretty eyes but also vacant look, maybe she is a robot she walks like one

Rafa tells FB to go save Padre who breaks away on his own and stabs the masseur in the process. FB arrives and both hop in a car, speed away but the breaks have been tampered with and subsequently crashes and burns. I get putting them both in the car but Rafa put FB in the car so it appears he did Rachel a favor. He is complicit in the death of Padre and FB but still somewhat protective of Blanca. Am I missing something?

I'm ok with a few of the characters and are pretty much consistent to their parts
Raquel, Adriano (though he pisses me off at times), Mariana, Richie, Ed (but not believable as one of Mexico's premier business minds)& Sofia (she's just being a child)

On my do not call list

Novelera

In all my years of novela watching I have NEVER seen a priest killed. That seems to be a line that isn't crossed and in this one even the henchman was reluctant to kill the padre although Raqevil wasn't.

We know that Rafa went to FB and told her they had to save the padre and obviously where he was. She rushs in and the escaped padre grabs his keys and heads for the car with no breaks. My question — where was Rafa? Who cut the brake line — the henchman, under orders from Raq or Rafa for the same reason.

Car goes off the road and bursts into flames — did the padre and/or FB escape — guess we have to wait a day or two to find out. Rafa duly reports to his slave master that FB and the padre are gone. Considering he had been trying to protect Blanca all along I was shocked but his lust for money and/or Raq has obviously unhinged him.

Now I wonder how the greedy gossipy barrio folk will feel when they hear Blanca has been killed and now she must never show her face around her family until the drama comes to and end.

Agree with your list but I don't care at all about FB, the poor thing was just a plot device. I have a marginal interest in Blancoria only to see how she is going to extricate herself from the web of lies around her. I don't think Ed is presented as one of the fine minds in Mexican business but he is light years ahead of Craven Chris who got them into the mess in the first place.

I always wonder why in TN's some character is presented as a brilliant businessman when his actions consistently prove otherwise. A prime example at the moment is MA in Pobres who is for all intents and purposes a complete idiot.

Decie, yeah our boy Chris has a real high opinion of himself and capabilities. Like my grandfather would say, that boy ain't got enough ass to keep his britches up

I like the Diego character and I half hoped he would clock Chris a good one when he dared to show up at Cat's house. However she got him pretty good. Wouldn't you love to hear his explanation I don't know what happened I went to talk to Mariana and somehow my clothes fell off and I ended up in her bed. Eye roll here.

Wait until Raqhell finds out the engagement of off. If Chris thought she had nothing but contempt for him before he hasn't seen anything yet.

If FB survives she might be a nice fix for Diego since he is either related to the only nice girl in town or the rest are taken by various good guys, bad guys or village idiots.

What is it about TN viewers that we constantly try to pair off every one before the end? LOL

I think FB is pretty, has an actual career and her eyes have life in them unlike RB the zombie. Diego perhaps but bet Cat has some gf's that have been all over him.

Instead we get Rafa with Raquel, and Mariana.

Karina with Ramon and Jorge

Jorge with Karina and Simona

Chris with Mariana and Cat

Ed with Mariana, RB and Vicki

Adriano with Val and Fernanda and making gamie passes at Raquel

Tita with who knows

For me the craziest of all is after I guess a month Ed is in "love" with a liar and fraud that doesn't know how to balance a checkbook.

I've seen a tn priest get murdered a few times. The ones that come to mind immediately are the priests in Amor Bravio and Abismo de Pasion.

I missed both of those novelas although I did see Abysmal as I came to call it for a few weeks before bailing so missed the priest being killed. If that lined has been crossed at least in Televisa perhaps the good padre will not be rejoining us. I use the term good padre loosely since I find it appalling that he became complicit in the torment meted out to Val and now to Adriano. Surely he could have gone to the bishop and tried to find a way to help both of the innocents. On the other hand Raquell is such an accomplished liar she apparently fooled both him and Memo. Never mind that once he saw that video he should have gone straight to the police and not stopped by Raq's place to scold her.

I agree tofie, Julieta Grajales's face broke my heart. Poor Cat! And by the way, what's it saying that the actress of a minor character is better than the lead. I've seen Lisette Morales in a couple of things and I always thought she was fine, if not better, but in this novela she's prettier than I've ever seen her but her acting is the most wooden I've seen. Girl, I've seen you move your face before it's okay! It's called acting! Don't be afraid!
