So glad Dr. Evil wasn't able to follow through with her evil plan. And can't believe Mari lost it at the wedding. I think someone has already suggested this but can't Dan and Mari have a DNA test to see if there are in fact related. I know no one in this tn would be that rational but it seems the only way to find the truth.
 

I'm so over the Mari is she or ain't she. The dense Cuca and Padre shuffle and now a Ileana beat down at the hands of Mari at Tita's wedding. Stupid. Three of the remaining sympathetic characters down. We have Mau, Andy and Ally left to destroy.
 

Thanks Sara for plodding thru the cable trouble to provide us with a recap. Last night was beyond stupid. We've had so much cut out of this tn, but last night was mostly filler, and moronic filler at that ... the infantile parties and the infantile wedding should have been cut.
 

I count Balthazar, Zenaida, Agatha, Angel and Fabricio as sympathetic.

Thanks, Sara, for providing this recap despite your viewing problems. I am interested more in this novela at this point than I am in Robo, but last night there was a lot of silliness. Mari beating Ileana with the foam guitar was just weird. I was hoping that Dan 's yelling at they reception with people around would finally out Sono,,,but no. When is the evil empire going to start to crumble and tumble?

As noted, Isa had a remarkable recovery from that surgery. I still do not know how Maricela thought she could get away with her evil plan with others in the operating room. It is all getting increasingly frustrating and far fetched. . The Maricela storyline is just creepy. Why does she keep showing up at Art and Isa's house? Bleeeccchhh Still obsessed about Art after all these years. Really? Is Maricela part of Favier's haram ?
We didn't see Favier too much in this episode. Every time I see him and his goofy grin, I keep asking myself how we are supposed to believe that all these women keep fall for him. Really? What? Why? QTF??Ugh and yuck. He is a legend in his own mind. Who will finally expose him ? I was hopeful that it would be Andrea because she recoiled when she saw him at the funeral. I think she has his number, so now she has to get proactive and push other people to investigate .

Mari goes Corazon Indomable on Ileana.I couldn't stop laughing thinking about those two scenes. The only difference was that Maricruz went right for the hair pull and Marianela used that stupid guitar balloon thing but the end result was the same. My guess is that Ileana is feeling really sorry about what she is doing right now. I mean that she knows the hurt that Marianela is feeling and Ileana is not one to want to hurt others.

with that is, novelas are not rational.

And rational---those parties were not rational. A little overdone I would say. But of course, Dafne would be the one to spike the punch, it's in her character to do something like that.

Didn't get to see this episode because my hubby, son and I went to see the Muppet movie. Funny movie, but we haven't been to the movie theatre for so long that we got "sticker shock" from the price of the tickets. And the popcorn and soft drink prices are even worse!

Gringo, my TV problems aren't cable related because we don't have cable. I refuse to pay for TV. I don't watch that much so it isn't worth it.

 

xlnt-If my husband were not a sports fan I would dump cable in a heartbeat (Of course, I would then be a day behind on all the novelas since I could only watch them on hulu.)

gringo-I am not looking forward to Monday, either. It really annoys me that these two people who supposedly love, cherish and support each other are not talking about some really serious issues: Isa and her "cancer" and Art and his business woes.
 

Tita would probably be the only one to think of a DNA test for Dan and Mari, but she fell for Sonia's sob story of being raped, having a child (but was told it was a boy) and leaving him. Sonia also told her (with her crocodile tears) that she came back and looked for him but could never find him again. Since she's under the impression that Mari is NOT Sonia's daughter, she won't think of a DNA and her confusion over Dan's attitude toward Mari is because she doesn't know that Dan knows about the possibility of the uncle/niece relationship. But, DUH! If she knows Dan has been a great guy up until now, she should figure out something is fishy and sit down with him and get it all out. Once he knows that the child was supposedly a boy and Tita knows that there is still doubt, the DNA test should occur to them both ... I would think. But they should do a test with just Mari and Dan and not mention a thing to Sonia so she won't bribe the lab.

I am so glad that Isa is still alive despite Dr. Frankenstein. I still can't understand why Isa didn't get a second opinion.
This was a silly episode and once again someone says something to Ara and she believes it. When will she start acting like an adult and use her sense of reasoning?
 

Xlntperuvian---I don't have cable either. I'm like you, I turn on my TV for free {well I have to pay for the electricity} but everything that I need to see is right there. I don't need HBO, the sports channel or the Disney channel---I get enough TV just by changing channels--like you, I don't watch that much. I get calls all the time from the cable co to sign up. They always ask me
what cable or satellite service I now have. When I tell them none, they always act surprised. NONE???
I tell them that I don't need to pay to watch TV and that usually is the end of the conversation.

It's terrible what Dan is doing to Mari. He should know better. Poor girl, he built her up and now? Come on Dan, didn't your father teach you to be a man? Tell her why---don't let her cry every night, that's not right.

Tita did have a DNA test done. She didn't trust Sonia to do one so Sonia offered her a hair sample and told her to get one from Mari and then have the test done by the lab of Tita's choice. The DNA test results said that Mari was NOT Sonia's daughter, but Tita hasn't told anyone but Sonia what the results were. So neither Dan nor Mari knows.
 

If these people really want to help Mari they need to talk to her and stop keeping her in the dark. Sheesh!
 

Sara, this means that Borlas is Sonia's SON.

I'm glad that Mari is NOT Sonia's daughter. But will we ever find out who Mari's parents are ?


 

With all the cuts Univision is making I'm worried we will not get to see all the resolutions. :(
 

If they keep cutting it the same way we will catch up with Mexico in one week and Univision will have to show whole episodes until the end.

At the current rate, there will be 151 or 152 full episodes in Mexico; the finale is currently being said to air on May 4th, which is a Sunday.
 

So Dan was told by Cuca that Mari was Sonia's daughter but Tita didn't let him know about the DNA test after the big fight. What is going on here? I'm getting dizzy.

Borlas as Sonia's son? Wow! How is that going to play out? Will he go to visit mommy in jail?

Sorry about your tech issues Sara, hope they stop soon! I remember Mari being called Maricruz 2.0 in a previous recap. Whoever it was they weren't wrong. Dafne bringing Eugenia into this was really low. Eugenia is looking down at Aranza in anxiousness or disappointment, if anything. And thank God that anastegeologist had a conscious! And Isabel's ovaries are still intact. Arturo and Isabel really need to sit down and talk this is ridiculous where is a marriage counselor when you need one.

Cassandra, I wouldn't be surprised if Isabel and Fab end up together in the end since Art is a WIMP and WUSS.

I'm looking forward to seeing Dafne get killed off in the end.
 

I think Isabel a limp rag at times however in the marriage she is the rock. For over 10 years she has withstood Aranzas constant onslaught and Art was able to be the good guy by sticking his head in a hole. Even now Isabel knows Art is a jealous, insecure, short tempered and high maintenance man. He's fine when things are fine and everyone thinks he is king but throw a little curve he flips. Isabel knows he is at his limit and while I personally would not have pulled what she did with the surgery, I understand why she didn't tell him. If he is lead to misunderstand the lie it won't be a large leap for the jealous Art to assume she is cheating and he being high maintenance jump to Marcela for some tuning.

I hate Art and his daughter. What a life Isabel chose. She has to be mommy and spoon feed both of them heaping helpings of feel good daily while they sling mostly dodo at her.

Sara- Thanks so much for this recap. I only saw a glimpse of this episode, but I have one correction-- it was Dan Mari his with the guitar. He's the one she went after first, then she tried to go after Ileana. He deserved that whack to the back/head for jerking her around like this.

All of these folks-- Dan, Art, Isa-- need to do some truth telling to clear up some of these messes they're making for themselves. The bad guys are screwing things up enough with their lies. The good guys shouldn't add to it!

I think that Lleana is feeling bad about the whole thing. Something has to give soon.

It's interesting that Mari did not have a leading part but everyone likes her including myself. She is so sweet and has a bubbling personality. How could anyone not fall or be attracted to her? I don't like the way Dan is treating her---he is going to have some BIG I'm sorries to say pretty soon. Come on Dan, man up.
