Lo Que La Vida Me Robo, capitulo 109. 04/14/14.

So my 7 year old decided to stop recording my novela and instead record hers. I was able to record west coast time slot so recap will be up shortly. Although I'm afraid short.

Okay we start off with Dim realizing that his mom won't be nominated for mom of the year. She and Tomas were in kahoots to destroy his marriage to Fina.  He decides to leave but mommy dearest begs him to stay. He agrees if she were to tear up the check. Afraid not replies the Graceless one.  Dim says I'm out and leaves.

Tia Pru tries to convince her big bro Captain Robledo not to send JL to the big house.  The Captain says no can do. JL committed a crime and has to pay. Depending on how generous the judge is, it looks like 5 to 6 years in the slammer.

Fabs thanks JL for allowing Angie the chance to live her greatest love with him. she says Angie was fortunate to have such a great love. Not everyone gets one. She hugs JL and at that moment who walks in but Ale and Montse. Of course Montse's eyes take in the scene. JL must have his Montse radar on full blast and spots her right away. JL thanks Fabs for her kind words.  He turns to the coffin and is joined by Montse and her seriously insecure husband Ale.

dim heads over to Montse's house and is greeted by Rosario. He finds out their at the funeral and asks to wait for them. Rosario notices that he's down. Did you have a problem with your wife? Dim says she left him.Rosario asks if this is a good thing or not? You guys married because of obligation. Do you love her? Dim nods his reply and Rosario asks why didn't he tell her? I did replies Dim finally makes it back I even shouted it to all of Aguazul. But she says she needs other things. Rosario says Dim needs a hug and offers to give him one. She tells him to let go of his tears. She believes when there is love in between, there can be a solution. He is a smart man and you will find a way to fix his problems with his wife.

EZ and Carlotta show up and while Angie's immediate family are occupied with them, Ale decides to confront Fabs about going to the judge to fight for the inheritance. Fabs points out that its not the right time to talk about this and I happen to agree. He ignores her and says because of her, his mother had a bad experience being questioned by the police.  Fabs turns the tables on him and says he's to blame. Since arriving, she had asked to see the wills and he did not comply. Graceless makes an entrance. Anyway Fabs tells Ale that by not turning over the wills it all looks shady. Ale tells her she is going to lose. The judge will side with me because everything was done correctly.  Of course Graceless is listening in on all this. Ale says he thought of sharing a part of the inheritance with her but now forget it. Fabs can't believe he's going to leave her in the street. To bad, so sad replies Ale. Fabs says she came to Aguazul looking for a family but looks like Ale is only interested in the money. Fabs walks away and Montse comes to comfort her man.

Fabs stares holes into the back of JL's head.

Vic hangs out at the pier. Nadia finds him and wonders how he's doing. Vic ignores her question and reminds her that her crazy pervey husband forbid her to see him. Nadia just wanted to see how he's doing. Well bad replies an angry, hurt Vic.  Your huband was going to hurt you. And look how well I defended you. If you hadn't shown up with a gun.....Nadia begs him not to think that. They are alive! (But for how long?) Nadia says their going to run away and have a beautiful baby together. Vic finally leaves his own pity party and decides Nadia is right. He hopes that Montse's premonition is right and they have a little girl. He would love to have one. Nadia says she will give up whatever just to spend the rest of her life by his side. Vic suggests they stop seeing each other until they can escape. That way crazy pervey Pedro won't suspect a thing. Dumbass Nadia can't go days without seeing her...studly man. Vic softens up to his pleading woman and agrees to see her at their love shack so that peeping Pedro can listen in on their escape plan. Nadia commits the ultimate no-no and kisses Vic out in the open. This chick is asking to be caught.

Graceless offers her condolences to Amelia.  She stares at Ale who takes it as a sign to come speak to her. She tells him that she was eavesdropping on his conversation with her other daughter, I mean his cousin Fabs.  So she took out her claws? Ale replies that thanks to her he now suspects everyone is out to get his inheritance. Graceless laughs in his face and says one day he will pay for taking Benjamin's money away from her. She worked hard on her back, um I mean hard for years to secure it for herself. Ale asks if she is threatening him. However you want to take it, just don't play with me replies Graceless. She asks Ale what would be worse? If Fabs takes  all your money or if that man takes your wife?

Montes offers her condolences to JL. Of course Ale comes up since he can't stand for them to be together and offers his condolences. Montse leaves and JL tells Ale that he is going through a difficult time right now and wants Montse to give him a sincere hug. So its best to take her away now to avoid temptation. Ale runs to his wife and suggest its time to leave. He's a complete ass.

The funeral director leads the angelic Angie out of the home. JL and Amelia comfort each other.

Part 2

Ale comments about silence walking home. She says she's sadden by the death of her friend. The green eyed monster Ale tells her under no circumstances is she allowed to visit the grieving widow, JL. Montse promises not too. Ale believes that JL will come soon to try to reclaim her now that he is free.  Montes strokes his ego and says she just wants to be with him. They talk about JL's impeding imprisonment. Ale doesn't know how long he will be in the slammer but being locked up makes a man think long and hard about life. When he gets out, he may try to get close to you.  Montes again tells him not to worry.

JL comes home to find her royal highness Graceless waiting for him. He asks her to leave. Not before you listen to me replies her royalness.  She calls JL an opportunist who know has money thanks to his late wife.  So let us speak frankly. I know you are still in love with my daughter. She offers to help him get Montse in exchange for helping her. Interested she asks.

Dim is holding his nephew when Ale and Montse walk in. Dim wants to talk to Montse. Rosario tells Ale to join her in putting the baby down. Dim tells Montes he left the house.

Graceless doesn't understand what is taking JL do long to decide. JL says he won't even consider her offer and is only being quiet as not to offend her. She says she's not offering friendship just to set up a deal. JL says she repulses him. She says so do you but I don't care. Are you telling me you don't care for Montes anymore? JL says he's decided to forget about her. She tells him to quit thinking small but big. He could have it all. JL just wants Montes to be happy. She chose Ale. Graceless says you were married that is why Montes didn't chose you. Now you are a free man and have every right to fight for the woman you love. (Even though she's married. What a great mom. Trying to break up a happy home).  JL says that Ale's soul was up for sale but not his. He would never buy a woman. Graceless says never say never. Life throws many curve balls. Think about it then come see me.

Dim tells Montse about their mother disgusting behavior. Does it sound familiar? He wants to know if he could stay for a few days until he can figure things out. Montse says of course and will speak to Ale. Dim thanks her and Montse thinks that he ought to tell Josefina what Tomas did. Dim agrees but thinks that Josefina won't believe him. She won't want to see him. Montse says she will accompany him. Josefina won't deny seeing her. Dim has hope in his eyes and agrees to try.

Josefina is enjoying her solitude when its interrupted by dumbass Adolfo. He came as soon as he heard that she left Dim. He thinks she made the right decision. He hopes she did it because she realizes there is someone
else in her heart. Yes, I did replies Josefina. I found out that I love someone. Adolfo is over the moon and flying high upon hearing these words. He believes if she tries she will end up falling for him. He goes in for a kiss and she bursts his bubble. I wasn't talking about you but me. I want to learn how to love myself (everyone on the patio shouts in agreement). She thinks the only way to do this is to go away and leave all those that she knows. She probably will never come back. So she wants to say goodbye. I forgive you for all you have done and hope you have a good life. Let me give you some advice. I think you need to also learn to live yourself.

JL is home holding the ashes of his late wife. Refugio and Esme have come to accompany him. JL takes one more look at the happy home he shared with Angie.

JL boards a boat to complete Angie's last wish.

Tomas can't believe that Ale could be an impostor. Sandro says it's all being investigated. Tomas is glad that his sister will finally be liberated from that crazy family. Sandro asks if Tomas will be returning to the city. Tomas has to yo take care of his businesses. Unfortunately Sandro must find another to live. Doorbell rings and it's Dim and Montse.  Tomas gets angry at seeing Dim and tells him to leave immediately.  Dim ignores him and says they are there to see Josefina. Tomas says she is not there when Montse insists on speaking to her. Sandro tells Dim that Tomas is telling the truth when Dim insists on looking for her. He still doesn't believe she's gone and runs upstairs desperately to look for her. Montse swears one day Tomas will reep what he sowed. So you found out about my deal with your mother. All of Aquazul know that Graceless kids have a price. You should know since she sold you first. At this Tomas gets a well deserved b!tchslap. She also warns Sandro to watch out. I will not allow you or Fabs to hurt my man. Dim comes running downstairs. Josefina is not here. Dim suggests running to the airport.

JL is out in the middle of the ocean with Angie's ashes. He scatters her ashes and recalls their wedding day.

EZ and Adolfo are planning in knocking off Pedro. What happens if the police find out questions Adolfo. Don't me an idiot replies EZ. I am the police. Adolfo tells him to be careful. He knows thst at the end of the day, EZ really likes Pedro. At one point I did, but things have changed. Adolfo says if anything goes wrong, I don't know anything.

JL finally makes it back to the arresting officers. Ale stands back watching. Guilty? I don't know. Esme promises to visit often. Refugio gives him a hug.

JL is lead to prison where he changes to prison garb, picture taken and placed in a cell.

Adolfo goes to visit Pedro who is tearing up his office looking for the wills. He asks if Adolfo took them. Of course not replies Adolfo. I can help you. Pedro decides to go home to look again. He wonders where Nadia is. She won't answer her phone. She better not be with Vic.  Adolfo covers and says she went to visit Montes. Pedro plans on getting rid of Vic with Adolfo's help. As Pedro leaves, he spills the frijoles and says EZ is waiting at his house to kill him.

Manana: sorry, recording stopped.

Comments:
That was bad timing on Alejandro's part and he will look foolish when the rest of the merde hits the fan. However, he isn't fooled by Fabiolush.

And no, he was under no legal obligation to share those documents with her, per his attorney. Sandho will pay for that murder eventually.

You haven't gotten there yet, but Graceless can't be stopped. Her visit to JL was beyond the pale. Every time she pulls something like this I up the ante on her Karmageddon.

The worst thing about that was that now that JL is determined to isolate himself from Monserrat she doesn't have much chance of finding out about that vile visit. She should know.

More later; need to get to the store. I can't believe that the temperature will drop 30 degrees tonight.

Off to a sensational start Gloria. The one thing I truly look forward to at the beginning of the week is your recap with insightful snark, insight and honest and straightforward retelling.

"turns to the coffin and is joined by Montse and her seriously insecure husband Ale", "She worked hard on her back, um I mean hard for years to secure it for herself" and "Dumbass Nadia can't go days without seeing her...studly man" were among my many favorites.

I enjoyed Rosario's warm, supportive and comforting demeanor toward Dimitrio. Indeed, did he ever receive a warm and loving hug from his true mother? One that didn't have some ulterior motive behind it? It is not a small miracle that Dimitrio and Monse turned out as well as they did (Dimitrio's past flirting with the darkness aside of course).

Fabiola is indeed Graciela's daughter. The one slight difference is that Fab does have a heart. Whether it is capable of true love and compassion remains to be seen.

Thank you Gloria. Although it is rainy and dark outside, you've added cheer and hope to a dismal day.

Diana

I apologize for only getting half up so far. I got up at 5:30 this morning thinking I could get it all written up, but the kiddos decided this morning to argue. Sigh! I don't understand why my 7 year old can't find anything in her closet to put on and insists I help her out. Girls!

Gloria, we are delighted with what you have so kindly gifted us this morning. Please, no need for apologies!

You are a busy mother and we appreciate your taking the time to write this despite all you have to do.

Diana

Gloria:

This recap is so fab already. I can't wait for the rest. I missed last night.

I agree with Diana about Fablush. I too think it will be interesting to find out if she does have a heart.

I'm sorry I missed the part where Rosie hugged Dimi. He needs a real mother figure badly. I hope he stays on the straight and narrow and doesn't backslide into the dark side.

Gloria I loved your Part I of the recap. So insightful and full of delicious little barbs. "insecure husband", " Monse radar", "at their love shack so that peeping Pedro can listen in on their escape plan". Too funny.

But the best part of last night, which seems to be the usual best part, was all things Dim. Lord, Osvaldo just shines in this role. It was heartbreaking to see how hard he clung to Rosario - you realized the man had never had a Mom hug or that kind of unconditional understanding from a parent at any point in his life. Rosario has been sort of whiney and useless (except as chief baby-sitter), but that woman went right to the top of my "atta girl" list last night for being there for that poor man. He also was pretty cute with the little guy too.

Fabs can talk claiming Ale only cares about money. But boy, that "hero" of ours sure got on my last nerve last night. I'll comment more on Part II antics, but a good slap up the head wouldn't hurt. Rosario can use the "tough love" approach with him and save the hugs now for Dim.

Nadia--just can't anymore.

Daisynjay

Excellent Part 1, Gloria! Take your time and do what you need to do.

ITA with you about Ale. He really came across as insecure (with Monse and JL) and cowardly (at the pier) last night. I feel bad for him about what's about to hit him with the wills and losing his money, but his behavior also makes me not mind him being hit with an small anvil. Maybe it will wake him up.

The scene with Dim and Rosario was very sweet. But I just couldn't shake the image of these two actors in their former roles LQNPA when she was his horrible aunt. Must be so fun for these actors to get to play off each other in different ways in vastly different roles.

I'm glad Fina left before Dim and Monse could convince her to stay. She made her case very clearly to Dim, but I guess Monse just doesn't understand the concept of self love and the ability to be independent BEFORE going into a serious relationship with a man.

All kinds of double crosses and double-double crosses happening with the bad guys right now! Wow!

Gloria, loved your part 1 so far.
You already hit two parts that annoyed me last night:

"Fab stares holes into the back of JL's Head."

"Dumbass Nadia" Yes!!! Victor is barely walking and she has to have one last night of passion??? She has been harebrained from the start with wanting to bring a child into the world that would be under the control of that twisted pervert Pedro and now risking it all for a little sex. Victor should leave town alone while he is still alive.

Mama Rosario was at her best with Dimitrio.

Graciela was at her worst offering to sell Montse one more time.

Very funny: Pedro being so happy that his sister was finally away from those crazy low-class people and then Montse and Dimitrio appear on the scene.

Looks like Ezequiel never should have taken that weasel Adolfo into his confidence.

Jarifa

Correction: Not my day for writing: it wasn't Pedro but Josefina's brother that was happy that Josefina was away from Graciela and her brood.

Thanks, Gloria.

Diana...It is dismal and raining here, too.

UA ...it was 77 here yesterday, but it is cooler today, and the next few days will be in the low 60s. I just painted my toenails and got out my sandals. Boo

I haven't been a fan of Dim , but last night as he melted into Rosario's sweet embrace, I became a fan. Rosario has become a mother to not only her own son but also to Mony and Dim. That really was the sweetest hug I have ever seen in a novela, a perfect depiction of compassion and love. I am a big fan of hugs. I like to give them, and I love to get them.

Last night, when Rosario embraced Dim, I thought of one of my favorite quotes : "Being loved by someone makes you strong ; loving someone makes you brave." I sent it to my daughter, and she has kept it on her refrigerator for several years,

I liked everyone wearing white for sweet Angie's goodbye. How fiting that Fabulush wore black. You have to admit that Malibu Barbie and Ken looked stunning in their tight elegant whites as they entered the room. Could Ale's shirts be fitted tighter ?

Fab oozing all around grieving JL is creepy.

Nadia wants one last night of passion with poor, beaten up VIk. What a spoiled girl. VIk had better get out of Dodge tight now because Ped is BSCrazier than ever.

Susanlynn, thank you for the lovely quote. I am also a hugger and giving or receiving a warm embrace is one of the most cherished feelings one can have.

Diana

((((Diana.)))).I am glad that you liked the quote. I think that hugs can make you strong and brave. ..I am sending you some cyber hugs !

You rock Gloria. Wrangling two squabbling little girls and making up for a re-programmed DVR (by a 7-year-old no less!) and still turning out a delightful, straight-shootin' Part I recap.

Yes, DumbASS Nadia. Truly hopeless. And what's up with Fofito betraying EZ? Does this mean we're going to be stuck with Pedro for many more months?

Hate the valley of the shadow of death that we're in right now. On the plus side, we woke up to snow here. There is something dazzling about snow covering magnolias and scarlet tulips. Simply stunning. Hope all our little flowers and blossoms survive.

Part 2 is up! Thanks for waiting.

Part 2 is up! Thanks for waiting.

Is Adolfo hoping to leech more dinero out of Pedro or is he hoping that Pedro and EZ will off each other? I strongly doubt that this move was in his plans with EZ. He should have done the following:

1. Cleaned out all the money from the safe
2. Substituted fake documents for the real wills
3. Given the real wills to Alejandro along with the whole story
4. Gotten on the next flight to Rio de Janiero.

I can't believe he would leave Nadia in Pedro's clutches.

Gloria:

What a fine recap, and under pressure too. Thank you so much for this. I haven't seen the episode yet so I am off to view the dark going's on in Aguazul.

I know it must have been frustrating that your 7 year old reprogrammed the DVR, but I cannot help but think that she must be cute as a button. How enterprising of her. If Mom won't record my show, then I will just do it myself. I have to admire her initiative!

I do not know how much worse Graciela's behavior can get.

More later, after I view teh episode.

Thanks again, Gloria, for pressing on to recap in a stressful situation.

Elna June

Elna, if you only knew how cute. And the little stinker knows it. Oh, well. Nothing to get mad over, just press on.

Gloria, superb second half. "Josefina is enjoying her solitude when its interrupted by dumbass Adolfo" made me laugh as did "At this Tomas gets a well deserved b!tchslap". Oh dear...

I'm in shock and awe that Adolfo is attempting a double cross. He is just not that intelligent to pull it off - whatever is he thinking? Both Pedro and EZ possess a greater intellect (albeit a vile one)...

The only thing he can hope for is that dumb luck is on his side. Does he think he might live longer if he sides with Pedro? His life is worth nothing to either.

Another prisoner arrives. I would feel so much sorrier for JL if he were not still (inexplicably) mooning after Monse. And Ale's jealousy is simply tiresome at this point. He continues to be not only unloveable but downright unlikeable: "The green eyed monster Ale tells her under no circumstances is she allowed to visit the grieving widow". Sigh.

And Graciela. Bargaining for her own self interest and gain without regard to her daughter or her happiness. I could feel JL's palpable disgust. And I don't blame him one iota.

Thanks again Gloria!

Diana

Diana:
Thank you for your kind words. I agree with you about Rosario last night. I can tell that he needed a hug big time. Sometimes a hug can give you the strength to march on. As far as Fabs having a heart? Jury still out on that one for me. Hope the sun shines for you today.

Mads: Let’s hope Dim doesn’t go to the dark side. After last night’s episode, I am so on Team Dim.

DaisynJay: Dim’s anguish over losing his wife and the hope that Montse would be able to fix it all was truly well done by this actor. I really am enjoying him. I seriously wanted to knock some sense into Ale. I have never before felt such frustration with a galan before.

Vivi: could it really get any darker then this? I was hoping we were at the darkest, but my dear, you may be right.

Jarifa: Graceless was at her worst….or is there more to come? I have a feeling we haven’t skimmed the surface of her evilness. She still hasn’t stolen lollipops from babies yet. As far as EZ is concerned. He should never have taken the spineless Adolfo under his wing.

Susanlynn: Great quote. Will need to keep that one for future use. As far as Nadia is concerned, she’s an idiot. Instead of letting Vic get better and make plans to get away, she wants another night of nookie. Look lady, wait until you can escape then you will have all you want. Sheesh! Really caring about your injured man.

Diana, the absolute, vile truth of all this is that Graciela doesn't give a flying damn for Monserrat's happiness. She actually wants her to be as miserable as she is. You can't compare her to any normal mother.

Amelia was a helicopter mother because of her anxieties about Angelica's illness. She may become more overprotective of Virginia now because of that. I don't think she ever knew all the details of Pedro's evil plans, but she'd be in panic mode now if she did.

Rosario didn't have the chance to be a proper mother to Alejandro when he needed her, but she is doing her best to make up for it now. And to his wife and brother-in-law no less! If not for Carlota Monse and Dimitrio might not be who they are now.

Rosario's possessiveness of Dimitrio is all about control. She can't control Monserrat anymore and that really sticks in her craw. If Fabiolush does turn out to be her daughter (I still doubt it) she will try to control her but will be equally unsuccessful.

Accusing JL of being a social climber is a classic case of narcissistic projection.

I loved seeing Dim and Montse show up together to see Josefina, it has been lovely to see these two draw closer together and it's also nice to see Rosario get back "what life stole from her" by having a baby to look after and new children to care for (Montse and Dim)

Thank you for the great recap!!

I just don't understand Ale or Montse. Ale's jealousy and Montse's capitulation is too much. I'm starting to fast forward through any scenes of them together bec I want to hurl a cup at them.

I can only think that JL holds on so strongly to Montse because he doesn't seem to have any family. She was his family, his love and his best friend (sorry Refugio). When she threw him over it was a pain he didn't know how to deal with but to be a sad puppy going back to the family that beats him. Hopefully, with all this time to think, he will realize that Montse wasn't right for him and their love wasn't as deep as he thought.

It would be nice if EZ and Pedro took out each other tonite but I don't see that happening. Smart move by Adolfo to try it. Let's hope they don't figure it out and come after him. Maria makes an appearance...oh joy. Yes Carlos I was being ironical!

JL being in the slammer will actually save him from the temptation of pursuing Monserrat (whom he has to realize isn't into him anymore) and will also serve to protect him from Fabiolush. At least for a while.

I'm almost willing to bet that he will give his entire inheritance to charity or back to Angelica's family.

Both he and Alejandro need a new lawyer immediately.

Thanks Gloria, well done. Your recaps are always so clearly and cleanly written. Amazing today considering your own personal (and charming) challenges. By the way, your kidlets are much more interesting than our TN folks.

You made me smile (likely unintentionally) with this line:

"Rosario tells Ale to join her in putting the baby down."

While Montse and Dimitrio were having their little chat, Laurito's squalling off screen almost drowned them out and then he suddenly went silent... Yikes! You don't suppose they actually...?

Loved Montse's well-directed slap of Tomás even though all he did was speak the truth.

Carvivlie,

Thanks for pointing out the María sighting. I'm looking forward to seeing her again.

After Adolfo telling Pedro what to expect when he gets home, will we be minus a character after tonight?

Carlos

LOL, Carlos! I'm sure no babies were harmed in the making..

You are right that what Tomas said is true. Even Monse has admitted out loud that Ale bought her, Gracie sold her, and she (Monse) allowed it to happen. But someone had to smack his smug face for something. Might as well have been for that rude (although true) comment.

Thanks for Part 2, Gloria!

Project done, so hiding in the office relaxing with Part Duo. Amazing Gloria.

Oh, and give that little dickens of yours a "please don't do that again" with one of those side smiles we parents are apt to do, because honestly, if you get right to it, a seven year old that can reprogram the DVR to her own show...yeah. What were we doing at 7? Nowadays, these kiddies need to be so tech savvy on computers and lord knows what else. My brother's ten year old had to make a video for school. 10!! I say silently congratulate yourself that you have such a smart little cutie.

So from my comment this morning on Ale, that vision of him "anguishing" in the shadows watching JL go to jail...anyone else want to slap him silly? Of course, he didn't do the right thing and step up. I thought maybe, just maybe, he would grow up and act like someone else beside a jealous jerk, but no. Inherently, I think his fight is that he knows it's wrong, but the desire to keep JL away from Monse wins out...my guess is payback is going to be a bitch.

And wait until Fabs gets a load of JL in jail for 5-6 years.

I noticed the whole entering of the jailhouse was almost step by step the same montage that Ale went through going in (clever directing) except JL is in his former father-in-law's cell instead. I doubt he languishes there for 5-6 years unless at some point they wrap up some sub-plots and give us a fast forward, which actually could work. We would see kiddies grown, Fina transformed, etc. Might be interesting....

I can't quite figure out what Adolfo is up to. Or horrors, he hasn't a clue either. And darn, Maria is back.

Daisynjay

Victor and DimSum are two sorry sacks of you-know-what.

Victor gets the crap beat out of him by a eunuch. (Has Nadie told him that truth yet?) Now he wants to get out of town. Good riddance!

These two (Nadie and Victor) are so clueless that if they do find happiness elsewhere, Nadie will probably send directions to Pedro to tell him where to ship her piano.

DimSum is just a sponge. He’s about 30. He should find his own place or live on the base instead of mooching off of others.

Tomas is a clueless, socially inept clod who is now choosing what to believe. Josefina will be better off far away from him to find her own strength because he has been sapping it as much as Graceless has sapped Dimitrio's.

He will have to move into base housing because he can't afford to be on his own yet.

Thanks for Part II Gloria. I got a kick out of hearing about the Accessorizing Wars that go on in your house. But if I were living with it, it would be different! Three girls! With three, there is always someone on the outs--I have three, grown now, of course, but the dynamics continue. Hang in there, Mamita!

UA,

"Tomas is a clueless, socially inept clod who is now choosing what to believe."

Well, yes and no. He certainly isn't very likable but had he not intervened when he did, Dimitrio along with Alfonso, would have probably bilked Josefina out of everything she had. However, he may now end up standing by cluelessly as Sandro finds a way to confiscate her wealth.

Oh, and I'll take you up on your bet. While he may make an effort, I don't doubt that JL will end up with Angelica's fortune.

Maybe Zeke will keep Pedro busy while Nadia and Vic enjoy this last tryst but I wouldn't bet on it.

Carlos

He did save Josefina's fortune but he is clueless about Monserrat. She is nothing like her mother and he earned that slap.

Monserrat was 19 when Graceless pulled the puppet strings on everyone. Josefina is at least 10 years older and should be more socially sophisticated. That's at least partly Tomas' fault just as Dimitrio's earlier fecklessness was Graceless'.

I do agree that Sandho might set his sights on Josefina's fortune eventually. He has no conscience and neither does Fabiolush. The only reason she's got JL in her sights is because of the fortune Angelica said she would leave to him. We'll hear about that soon enough.

I keep thinking that the writers plan on getting JL and Montse back together. Why else keep JL pining for her and such at this point? I think once she finds out what all Ale has been keeping from her and allowing JL to go to jail for him, she will finally open her eyes to his jealous, weak spine character and try running back to JL.

Carvivlie- Both men are deeply flawed, but at this point I almost feel that the writers are making JL hold on to this obsession solely for the purpose of making Ale not look so bad. They each have to be majorly flawed.

But this tactic just makes JL's character unclear. From all that we know and have seen of JL in the way he conducts the rest of his life, he should/would have been over Monse right now. I'm just not buying his love/obsession with Monse. I'm not buying that he has such little self control around her that he has to throw himself in jail for 5 years, and can't stand to be in the same room with her for more than 5 minutes. I bought that before he married and fell in love with Angie. I don't buy it post-Angie. It doesn't ring true and frankly, it's stupid. So is his "sacrifice" putting himself in jail for a crime Ale committed, when he long ago evened to score with Ale over his misdeeds (trying to woo Monse away under a false identity) by saving the guy's life multiple times, and not pressing attempted murder charges on him when Ale shot him. That's plenty of reasons for Ale to be grateful to him for life, and to swallow his pride and jealousy and move on.

I'm just not buying it, writers! Maybe one of you guys can convince me how JL's actions make any sense.

Gloria, what a wonderful, complete and funny recap. I can't believe you managed to write it under siege. Wow. I'm also impressed by your 7 year old's smarts.

I especially enjoyed reading about the most touching moments last night -- Rosario comforting Dimitrio, and JL's sad trip to sea with Angie's remains.

You are a real champ to perform so beautifully in spite of purloined recordings and squabbling little girls. This particular novela makes it very hard to take shortcuts because there is usually so much material packed into each episode. and not nearly as much repetition as we have seen in many other shows. (Of course, that's also why this novela continues to hold our interest, even when we're not thrilled with the direction the story may be taking.)

Thanks so much! It was a real pleasure to come home and find this great recap waiting to be read this afternoon.

Hey Carlos!! Can you see me waving at you from across the Patio? The only one sitting at the Fab table waving at the only one sitting at the Maria table? Maybe we can push our tables together for mutual support.

Nanette

Hi Nanette,

maybe Fabs and María could join forces and spin off their own new show. Let's see, they could call it 2 Broke Girls.

I'm a bit of a Fabiola fan. I like the way that she annoys Alejandro and makes JL squirm. I thought that she looked... ummm... fabulous in her little black dress. She does need to dump Sandro, however.

Carlos

Gloria - I won't be able to enjoy your recap till later night. Thanks so much.

Looking forward to reading all the comments. So annoyed with JL's "take Monse away before I hug her." Seems like the story is setting up Adolfo on the (evil) rise, so Dim can take him down.

Gloria, what a fun recap you wrote. I too had DVR problems last night and didn't get the show to record so I looked forward to catching up today. I too have a 7 year old and its amazing how tech savy they are now a days! :-)

Susanlynn, loved your quote: "Being loved by someone makes you strong ; loving someone makes you brave." That was by far the best part of last night's episode for me. Pulled at my motherly heart strings. Dimi, having the mom he has, was really in need of loving, positive consolation.

What a difference between what Gracie gave him, telling him he should be thankful to her for having helped him get rid of Josie, and Rosario's motherly comfort. That hug was just what he needed.

Eli, I too loved seeing Dim and Montse together last night, and didn't see anything wrong with him showing up at his sister's house. He said it would be for a few days while he figured out what to do, and what better place, than where he can get the love and good advice he needs. He and Montse have been growing closer together for a while now.

Not sure where this standoff with EZ and Pedro will take us. If Pedro survives he will continue to wreak havoc in Aguazul, if EZ survives, Fofito better watch his back for double crossing him! Yikes!

Thank you Gloria, your recap was entertaining and I honestly can't remember anything from the end that you missed except maybe the advances. So many funny off of the cuff comments, enjoyed it so much!

UA: It will go down in the 30s tonight, yikes!

Nadia and Victor are certainly going to say something on camera for Pedro to hear, I don't doubt it for a minute. Why are those two pea-brains not on a plane already?

I don't think the writers mean for Monse to get back together with JL. I've seen enough of these shows to think that JL is the sacrifice guy.

I like Fab, too. I think she's redeemable. I don't understand what she says--my Spanish being nearly non-existent--but I watch her face and how she says her words and I don't think she's as bad as everyone else thinks. I also think she's probably always drunk at some level or another and that's a lot of where her badness is coming from.

Maria, however, is evil ;)

Dear Gloria, I'm commenting late, but just wanted to thank you so much for the wonderful recap. It's the end of the semester for me, and I've been at work all day and will be staying late tonight, so I only just got a minute to sit and write to you. Thanks again, as always, and best to you and your daughter!

Nanette,

As you certainly recall, the actress playing Fab was Miriam in Amor Bravío who was the sweet loving innocent original wife of Daniél who spent most of the show in coma after a violent assault. The two shared a child. Nonetheless, despite her purity, many who watched almost despised her for the crime (I submit) of merely being inconvenient.

Poor María had the misfortune early on in this TN of being the inconvenient woman. I admit that she has displayed a few flaws but I contend that for most here, her unforgivable crime is her beauty and inconvenient love and devotion for Alejandro.

Other opinions may vary.

Carlos

Thanks, Gloria, for giving us an excellent recap, even when you had to fight circumstances for it.

I was off in "Dancing" land and missed this one, so I might have to go back and at least see Rosario hug Dim. Glad he received some much needed consolation.

Gloria,
Very late to the party, but I read your recap and had to thank you. Extremely busy at work and home, but I did catch Monday's epi.
Loved seeing Dimi leaving Gracie's house and into the arms of a loving mother figure. Maybe Rosario can give him some comfort and advice for a change. The only thing Gracie gave were insults and finger punches.

Still do not like Faby, and I agree that JL is acting a little strange. Saying that he can't be in the same room as Montse, and wanting a comfort hug from her. It's definately an obsession. Because if JL really loved Angie, I don't think he was in love with Montse at the same time, rather obsessed with Montse and what could have been.

Curious to get home and watch tonight's epi. Will EZ come out alive? What will happen to Carlota if EZ dies?

Back to work...hasta pronto!

Sorry I'm a long time lurker I know i'm late so I don't expect for answer back.. But i have to vent! Alejandro is a disgrace! As time passes Jose Luis has shown that he not only loves Monsterate more then Alejandro but also that he is more of a man then him. And even though this is a remake we all know who will end up with who. Which is kind of unfortunate. Monserate is dumb as a bag of rocks how could she believe horrible things about the man she once loved? By the way I'm not buying what the writers are spinning that she just doesn't love Jose luis. First off that type of love just doesn't go away in months or even years. I still truly believe that she loves him in her own sick and twisted way. I also believe that despite her and her mothers differences they are some what similar. end of vent*
