Lo Que La Vida Me Robo, capitulo 115. 04/22/14
Labels: robo
Thanks so very much for this fabulous and detailed recap.
Ay, yi, yi, I didn't see this coming! I thought EZ would have aimed at the propellers of the airplane but he hit the fuel tank instead. There was an immediate flame and the heat cracked the window and blew out the windshield. I am crossing my fingers that they survive.
I am glad Monse is okay and will live. Yesterday, I thought the scene with Lauro and Monse was a bit eerie, but now it all makes sense. The Ale part though, gave me shivers.
This is the 10th epi and no Padre.
Poor JL, I hope in future he confides in El Capitan. I am glad El Capitan is gunning for Peddy, cause really he's the only one that can put a stop to him.
Graceless is beyond horrid. I have no words for all her evil! May the anvil strike her many, many times!
Did anyone notice the look in BM's eyes when she said that Ale would be so upset???? Her glazed look, like he is all mine now said it all.
Ewww, just ewww, about Peddy and Amelia. I so hope she isn't going there.
Thanks again Gloria for this most fantastic recap.
As for the story, I am speechless.
Fatima
Mads, do you really think that Alejandro can survive? Even with Lauro waiting for him on the other side? (Thanks for explaining what happened to the plane -- I didn't quite get all that, although I saw the bullet hit the wing.)
And since it was Lauro and not Padre Anselmo who was waiting for him, should we be hoping that the padre is still alive?
And who would have predicted that REFUGIO would say the only smart thing all night -- What if it was María who shot Montserrat?
Wow. I have absolutely no idea where this story is heading right now.
Thanks again, Gloria. This was a corker of a night and you did an amazing job posting the recap so quickly.
The sudden deceleration is going to be the cause of injury. The extent of those injuries will depend upon whether or not the occupants of the plane were wearing their harnesses. The aircraft is going to absorb some of the forces of impact upon hitting the water, but when the aircraft collapses, this will also cause injury.
We also don't know the date of manufacture of the plane which would tell us something about the aircraft's ability to withstand gravitational forces.
Of course, this really means nothing in the long run because there will be some magikal, mystical happening here and they will all survive and end up on some island somewhere.
Yep, I think too darn much.
Fatima
Gracie needs to be abandoned forever, like in Pasion
I liked Monte's near death experience first comforting but then turned creepy when Lauro says hw was just waiting for Lauro. That was well done. Montse can't catch a break anywhere not even in a near death experience!
As Ale, Victor and Nadia kept arguing about 15 more minutes, I am sure at least 15 minutes went by. What a group of dolts!
My favorite line was when Carlota told Graciela " Tu eres mas amarga que cafe". ( You are more bitter than coffee).
I am convinced that Graciela's crying has only been an act and feeling sorry for herself that her Montse bargaining chip might be gone. She was her usual obnoxious self when Montse regained consciousness.
The only hope is Robledo. Ezequiel remains a mystery me.
It will be interesting to see who sirvives the crash.

Man, the Highway to Heaven was like Grand Central Station last night. My question is, why did Lauro come to get Ale and not the late Padre Anselmo (who they made a point of telling us Friday in a flashback how the Padre was a father to Ale).
I had an Epiphany. We can come to several conclusions, among them:
1. The people passing there on their way to Eternity weren't all going to the same destination as the Padre. Oh My.
OR, more likely,
2. Padre Anselmo wasn't there, because he's not dead!
1. Some of us, me included, think the reaction was real-not faked, real anguish and sorry, but stemming from a narcisstic fear/rage reaction because she considers Monse and extension of herself, this was underlined when she grabbed Dim when he got to the hospital and crooned, "don't leave me don't leave me" NOT FAKE. REAL. But this shows you how enmeshed she is with her kids.
2. Another camp thinks she is acting grieved and doing it well but is faking, not as unhappy as she seems. Manipulation. (Could be)
3. Camp 3-she's not faking, has a real mother's grief for her kids under all that bitter café. (I find this the most doubtful).
No doubt Grace will not give the phone with the last message from Ale to Monse, so she will continue to distrust JL. ? No spoilers, but any thoughts on this?
OK, I'll stop hogging the floor-have to get to work, anyway. What an episode, thanks again Gloria.
I do not believe that Alejandro is dead. I think he's having a near-death experience whose timing is not shown effectively here. If Lauro is waiting for him I think he's looking to absolve him from guilt about his heart attack.
I'm sure, as someone mentioned yesterday, that Monserrat won't get to see the video message Alejandro left for her. I'm also sure that when Alejandro tries to reach her from where he ends up Gracie will prevent him doing so. She doesn't give a flying damn about their relationship.
I'm still waiting to find out what she spent so much money on or whether she was socking it away in offshore accounts.
I pretty much stick with my summation yesterday about Graceless...her anguish is all about her kids as her means to an end. She needs them, sure, but to have to do whatever she wants so HER life is better, which as any decent parent knows is the opposite of our thinking for our kids. That's not love, that's sorrow over ownership being lost.
Not sure about Vic and Nadia, but I would bet my bottom dollar Ale survives. Now, we could get the tired amnesia plot, or perpetual man on the run, or some such plot point to move us to seeing a whole different couples dynamic for the next round of episodes.
But for the sake of drama, my guess is everyone thinks all three don't make it. And to be able to see Maria's face when she finds out she lost again, and this time for good (she thinks)...priceless. ( and writers....for the love of all that is holy...do not make a survived Ale in whatever state he's in appear and spend his next round of life with that BSC woman. )
Padre is alive. Think that vision pretty well sealed that. But where is he??
Loved the JL/Dim handshake.
Daisynjay
I suspect that the padre is in a monastery right now. That would be the safest place for him.
EZ will eventually hear that Maria visited JL in the slammer and he won't be happy about it. When Adolfo hears about this he might realize that Maria is the one who shot Monse. However, my money says he won't do anything about it or even tell anyone.
Gloria, I always expect a sensational recap though from you and once again you have delivered it perfectly.
What emotion your carefully chosen words generate: "Ale begs Montse to forgive him. Nadia and Vic cling to each other. Ale remembers moments with Montse. They crash into the water." Excellent!
Also, thank you for providing the touching dialog between Monse and her father: “She can't remember the last time she had a kiss from him. Our love is a big hug that lasts for eternity replies Lauro. You left thinking the worst of me replies Montse but Lauro says she is his princess and he knew her better then anyone”.
Umm “If you two hadn't done what they did behind the marina's back things would have been different”. I disagree Monica! JL was clearly the only one at the scene of the shooting who took charge and ensured Monse got to the hospital. I fear there might have been a different outcome with stunned reactions and not much action except wailing, crying and gnashing of teeth from Carlotta, Rosario and Graciela.
Madelaine, I can’t imagine anyone surviving that crash but I would think Ale likely survives as he is essential to the plot, with likely an amnesia story arc waiting in the wings (pure speculation only but I see you also agree daisy). I am far less confident about Vic and Nadia’s fate.
NovelaMaven: “And since it was Lauro and not Padre Anselmo who was waiting for him, should we be hoping that the padre is still alive?” Yes, exceptional reasoning! We can only fervently hope that is the case.
E-marie, “Camp 3-she's not faking, has a real mother's grief for her kids under all that bitter café”. Well said! Oh, and count me in as a Camp 3 member please! :)
This is really getting good - can't wait to see what happens tonight.
Thanks again Gloria!
Diana
All I can say is that this TN is going to be one long haul. I guess we are looking at several months in the doldrums. At least, one would think so.
Emarie, I see we are on the same page re the question about Rulli possibly being needed for another TN. I think that possibility is remote given all of the publicity they have done for this TN, but it is a good question nonetheless.
I wish Jarocha would check in and give us a Mexico update!!
Fatima
I wasn't terribly surprised by the plane crash. In TNs, planes crash. What surprised me was that Alejandro was aboard.
Even I found María's glassy stare and her utterance, "Poor Alejandro, he must be desperate," both creepy and chilling. Yikes!
So the guard that JL bribed was fired? Wow, what a harsh punishment. And Refugio is returning to work, his punishment to be decided later? Isn't he already serving a suspension?
I loved that it was Refugio who figured out that it might be Maria who shot Montse. This is the same guy who, when sent to get the maid so JL could convince her to let him see Montse, confronted Montse instead, but didn't bother to tell her that JL was wanting to talk to her. He's grown.
Last night the writers reshuffled the deck. For once I have no inkling of what might happen next.
UA, I like the idea of Padre Hook being in a monastery, but I have a difficult time seeing how he would go along with Zeke's plan... or allow his chickens to perish.
Carlos
There is no way Sebastian Rulli would be out of this series. Televisa would never risk the ratings disaster that would happen, especially with the chemistry he has with Angelique Boyer.
EZ probably told the padre that someone would take care of the chickens. However, I'm sure that EZ got a cadaver hand from the county morgue. A man Padre Anselmo's age wouldn't recover easily from that kind of an amputation.
As for him abandoning them,he could very well have had no choice himself as EZ could have taken him straight to safety with no ability to check in back home. And EZ making promises of taking care of things, but of course not doing it. Man doesn't care about human life if it suits him, why would he care about a few chickens. Double agent or no.
Daisynjay
If the pilot is not injured by that glass that imploded into the cockpit, that plane will not necessarily drop from the sky. The pilot said, before the windshield broke, he was losing pressure. There is a way to coast that plane, much as Capitan Sullenburger did, and land in the water much like a glider. This plane crash could be survivable, depending on the speed of the aircraft as it enters the water. I too over think these TNs : )
NovelaMaven:
The bullet did hit the wing, but the fuel is in the wing in this type of small aircraft.
The man should have been shooting blanks. He should have delayed a bit longer as well to allow Nadia to escape from Pedro.
Pedro would be difficult to manage no matter the outcome of this situation.
Favorite was "Ale tells Vic that he will get BSC if he tries to leave without his family. Vic doesn't care." They definitely spent too much time arguing back and forth. Just five minutes less could have allowed for a clean get away. So frustrating!
And speaking of the getaway, how many bullets did EZ have in that gun?! He was shooting non-stop. In my eyes he continues to show that he is a cold-blooded killer, just like Pedro. Hopefully word of this gets back to Carlotta to halt that wedding.
Loved the scene with Montse and her dad. I think she needed that to know that her dad's love had not changed for her at the moment of his death. But I was caught quite off guard with Ale's entrance. Emarie, liked your theory of the Padre being still alive if Lauro was the one waiting for Ale. Also like your idea, Urban, that Ale is not dead but needs absolution from Lauro's death. He just can't be dead yet.
As for the video, I think that Gracie had more to gain by showing Montse the video than not. Right now she thinks the worst of JL, even thinking he is the one who shot her. If she sees the video, she won't hold a grudge against JL and thinking Ale is dead, what a better way for Gracie to push her daughter into JL's arms and get her hands in his money.

The pilot was ascending and not yet at altitude. Is that correct? That is what I gather from the recap. I haven't seen the episode, yet, to identify the aircraft, but he would not have had it on autopilot while ascending to final altitude.
Again, I am assuming (because I have not yet seen the episode), that the plane was ascending and not yet at altitude, so the question of losing pressure at say 5,000 feet is not real and another one of those "made up" jobs on the part of the writers.
Were they already at altitude? Were they above 12,000 feet? The make and model of the plane would determine whether or not the cabin was pressurized. Early model Beech Bonanza's (single engine aircraft) can easily go up to 12,000 feet in their unpressurized cabins. Above that level, oxygen by mask is required.
If the pilot is knocked unconscious and if he were ascending to altitude and there was no one to regain control of the aircraft, the plane would go into a stall. IF someone else on the plane had practice controlled stalls, they would know how to correct the stall.
The non-pilot on the plane who does not know the capabilities/limitations of their aircraft is not necessarily going to do the right thing when it comes to correcting the stall. Learning how to correct a stall is done by practicing many times over a controlled stall. The first time you do it, it is not a comfortable feeling.
The damage to the plane will be due to gravitational forces on the plane; the plane's weight, altitude, and speed.
This crash will be survivable because it is a TN, but not every aircraft in distress can just glide down and coast to safety.
Captain Sully Sullenberger is a pilot extraordinaire. He made the unimaginable look easy, but he did it because of his brilliance unmatched skills.
Ok, now time for this empathic wimp to shut up.
Fatima
I'm so proud of Refugio. His suspecting Maria was the only bright spot last night. Urban, I'm hoping JL will finally get the illogic of Maria dressing like Monse if Monse has a bullseye on her back.
My guess is the pilot will somehow coast the plane, in a deserted jungle with no phones. Got my fingers crossed there's no amnesia. Hope Nadia doesn't lose the baby. The pilot probably won't make it though since he's the only one among them trained in emergencies.
Some of Angelica's last words to Monse were about JL standing in as a father to Laurito if something should happen to Ale. I thought that was foreshadowing at the time, but didn't think it would happen so soon. I'm sure Ale will survive, but the question is how soon will Monse find out?
At least Monse's shooting will delay Tia marrying EZ.
Correct, correct, correct! Are you a pilot? I fixed them and investigated, I have flown in a back seat of an F-4. I have never flown a small plane.
Graceless will have a very ignoble end. She's like a vampire.
I'm also shocked Refugio was the one who said Maria may have shot Montse.
I'm thinking a spell of amnesia for Ale.
I did like Montse's encounter with Lauro and the way he reassured her.
So are we taking bets on who, if anyone survives? I think Vic is the most expendable character and the drama that would come with Nadia carrying the baby of her dead love seems to good to pass up. So I'm thinking Ale and Nadia survive.
The joy to see Maria suffer! My only worry is that she will tear up the real will just to make sure Montse doesn't get anything!
I'm glad Rosario was on hand at the shooting. At least she will tell Montse the truth that JL didn't shoot her. And surprise, surprise, Refugio is connecting dots.
Really want Pedro to suffer but how long must we wait! I'm tired already.
Also, I know some of you want the Padre to be alive but I hope he isn't bec it makes no sense to me story wise why EZ would leave him alive. He has more info to hurt EZ than he does Pedro.
Of course we all know that the fate of the plane and its passengers and pilot will be determined by what the writers cook up for us, and not by any real world constraints.
Personally, I would enjoy Ale The Friendly Ghost coming back as a benign spirit who is visible only to Montserrat (or maybe to a select few, including Rosario and José Luis). He could go everywhere, hear everything, and guide the scoobies to free Aguazul from the tyranny of Pedro NoNuts.
Carlos, maybe Padre Hook is hidden in one of those cells in the Presidencia. EZ has used them before for his own purposes.
Niecie, I'm hoping that everyone's agreement that the police -- including EZ -- are not to be trusted will give Carlota pause. In any case, the wedding is not for another six months, I believe (time enough for tía to lose 'unos cuantos kilos,' as Montse assured her.)
As for Graciela, I don't doubt the reality of her grief when she saw her daughter shot and believed her life was in danger. But even in that moment, she was still a monster. Look at how she treated Rosario. [I believe that suffering ennobles only those who have the right stuff to begin with. But that is a whole other discussion.]
P.S. Is anyone else getting the feeling that Lt. Monica is an alumna of the Blanca Soto Academy of Dramatic Arts?
That was simply great!
Diana
The only reason I really want Ale to survive is so that Pedro's plan doesn't succeed.
But since the galanes of telenovelas almost never die, I hope Ale, Victor, Nadia, and the pilot all end up in a Swiss Family Robinson scenario on some island for a long time. Maybe Nadia could finally develop one or two skills other than the ability to execute a plodding version of Moonlight Sonata. And I hope they never let Ale forget that the whole situation is his fault for stalling and fighting about leaving.
Maricruz, I wondered the same thing about EZ's ability to shoot and shoot and shoot, apparently without ever needing to stop and reload.
Gloria, thanks ever so much for the excellent recap.
Oh, you just cheered up my work-dreary day with that one NM! Yeah, not so stellar so far. The actress may be over compensating trying to portray a woman in man's world, but I agree, few pegs down would work.
Thinking of all the survival scenarios, I keep having Sortilegio flashbacks. Will we get shirtless romping on a deserted beach? Nadia maybe breaking a couple fingernails? Actually, I prefer Vic coming out of this alive more than Nadia if I have to choose one. I hold to the belief Ale makes it, probably stranded somewhere, by the time he gets rescued and tried to get word to Monse, she'll have moved on to JL thinking he died....no spoiler, but a nice cliched plot line that every writer of a love triangle knows the plot for. Essentially, the main plot is the love triangle, so I expect we get that back and forth to the very end.
Hopefully the side plots ( I want Fina back!) and FABS getting her mitts on the inheritance will be interesting enough to add angst of Monse losing Ale, Ale lost, JL slobbering to get back with Monse...ok, I'm turning myself off this show. Better stop.
Daisynjay
Remember: the Evil Force in this TN universe is strong: Pedro, Graciela, Maria, EZ, Sandro and Fabiola up against the the Good Force: Alex, Monse, JL, Rosario, Refugio, Dimitri, Captain R, and possibly Victor, Nadia and Fr. Anselmo. but last three may have gone to their reward. I definitely think we are in the phase of the Empire Strikes Back. But Viewerville patiently waits for The Return of the Jedi -- perhaps in the last episode. Writers: please don't let this story degenerate the way CI did.
Maricruz
You guys...Thanks for the smiles and giggles. NM... I think that you are correct about Monica graduating from the B.S. academy. By the way, I could swear that I saw Blanca in a hair color commercial on a U.S. channel. Julia..Swiss Family Robinson is a possibility...or perhaps Gilligan's Island. I am sure that the folks back in BlueWater will think that everyone on that plane perished, but some or all will have survived. Ale and VIk will have to deliver Nadia's baby...yikes. Everyone will lose weight from a diet of bananas and coconuts. In the meantime, Mony will marry JL with some coaxing from BadMama to provide a stepdad for little Larry. Ped may hunt for a new trophy wife thinking that Nadia is dead.
I am quite sure that Padre Hook is somewhere worrying about his flock...and his flock of chickens, too.
Also, could Robledo please bug Pedro's office? And tap his phones? I'm ready for him to drop and a new villain to step in.
Julia: "And I hope they never let Ale forget that the whole situation is his fault for stalling and fighting about leaving."--THANK YOU!!
I may have made this comment before, but put me in the camp with the Gracie being sincere about her grief over what happened to Montserrat.
Also want to comment about the good casting job they did with cute, little Ale, physically speaking. I can see him growing up to be big, stupid Ale.
Nanette
Sadly, I am swamped at work and have no time to comment the way I would like.
I think Ale survives, not sure about Nadia and Vic. Pretty sure PadreA is among the living. Awesome comments everyone!
Back to work...hasta pronto!
We all knew, deep down inside, didn't we, that the escapees weren't going to get away unscathed. It did seem like the plane made a fairly decent descent. But, as you said, Fatima, Ale's pilot is no Capt. Sully. Hope all is well below and everyone knows how to swim.
If they were *forced* to extend the story, this is probably where it works best, a loooooong separation between Ale and Montse. I hope this is more a Sortilegio-type abandonment on a desert island incommunicado (with a nod to Daisynjay for mentioning it first), and not an Siempre Tuya Acapulco where the novia immediately makes plans to marry the supposedly deceased brother (other things are in play, but you get my point). I fear JL will try to insert himself into Montse's life, but maybe he'll have to stay in jail some time longer after his "unscheduled" release.
Notez Bien--If there are some of you who didn't get to read Carlos' inside view of the operators in the operating room late in yesterday's comments, do so. Worthwhile reading before it gets too old.
Wonder what that favor was that the Lady Lt. asked of Refugio. We didn't get to hear. Besides maybe trying too hard, she's trying to portray a straight-arrow military soul and has never actually met one she could copy.
Daisyinjay--my point, too. Yes, Padre was at home when Addled came to get him, but EZ might have taken him straight to a secure location from his supposed execution spot, without letting him go back home, thus the dead chickens. And Yes, Carlos, EZ could have, should have come back by and picked up the chickens and had a nice Sunday chicken stew.
UA--about EZ shooting blanks. He had other guys with him so he couldn't very well not set a good example. But he might have tried to not aim very well. OTOH, he didn't know where the plane was going or whether he'd ever get any of those folks back to either testify against Pedro or get a feather in his cap for successful prosecutions.
NM--Oh for shame making us recall anything about the Lt. having attended Blanca Soto's Academy of acting abilities. (Know everyone that I make an exception for Eva Luna--I liked her in that one).
I think I saw Blanca on Gilligan's Island. Oh, that was Ginger.
Poor Nadia, may have to give birth on the island with no Professor.
Loved Carlos' and Anita's comments about the surgery yesterday, too, too funny.
I have to go catch up on the last several capitulos so that I can recap tomorrow night.
Yikes!
Thanks again for keeping me up with the unlikely goings on in Aguazul.
