Isa is too stupid to live chapter 9000.
I was so annoyed watching this. We all know Isa can't lie convincingly, but really, she couldn't pretend a little longer, go to sleep, then run away?! Or steal his car keys in the middle of the night and get outta dodge? And now she's going to be in a mental institution and probably lose another child. I can't deal with this novela anymore.
 

TJ- I'm here! I was away in NYC for a few days. I have not yet caught up with reading the Siempre recaps, but I don't think I can stand to go back and watch the heartache. Yikes! Isa is cursed!
 

Just KILL OFF Isabel and get it over with!

Thanks so much for your recap TJ. While Cuca has been annoying, I'm glad she spilled the beans as stupid Daniel kept doing the martyr thing. Telling her could have avoided scenes at weddings and attacking Ileana. While its horrible her Mom is Sonia, no one would question why you broke up.

In the English captions, Gil told Dan Sonia wasn't his blood. So why is Dan still claiming they are related?

I have to agree w/Anon that Isa's actions again put her in too stupid to live. No CD I don't want her to die but why do the writers make her so dumb? Come on, Isa, you got out before without Feo knowing why not wait until morning. And the preview w/Isa in the manicomo. Why has she had to suffer so much especially in comparison to fArt.

Gringo, I understand galans aren't perfect but men who rape their wives, or toss them over with no explanation or act like Bruno are good people. I can't blindly want the heroine w/losers like that.

Welcome back Vivi. I too have been sticking to the recaps until recently but will go back to them for tomorrow.
 

Karen, Dan and Sonia have the same mother so they are half-siblings. Sonia's mom married Gil when Sonia was a girl, then had Daniel.

Again, just when you think things are starting to look up this TN goes further into the dark side. I figured Feo would keep Isabel as a prisoner if she regained her memory, but I didn't think she'd be imprisoned in an asylum. Good grief this TN is just getting hard to watch.

I can't even stand to look at Arturo anymore. Please writers make him suffer an anvil all his own. I'm hoping that Art and Marcela have a quickie wedding after his quickie divorce and while they are driving to their honeymoon, taking Aranza along of course, they accidentally drive off a cliff.

Just had my coffee and enjoyed reading this. I actually turned off the TV shortly after Cuca spilled the beans so I appreciated all the details you provided.

I do not like how they have made Isa suffer so much during the run of this show, but I hate it even more now because she is so utterly alone.

Art has shown himself to be a despicable a$$ and I completely agree with xlnt that he's going to need an anvil. He doesn't deserve another chance with Isa and he sure as hell doesn't deserve a place in that baby's life.

Despite all my frustration, I have to admit I am finding it all very entertaining. It doesn't feel like it's gone off the rails (IMO.) It still seems like a more or less planned sequence of events. Not a bunch of monkey writers making things up (I'm looking at you CI.) Granted they are completely wild and fantastical events, but I don't find myself shouting "oh puh-leeze!" at the TV. In fact, when Isa woke up with her amnesia I was almost giddy! It was hilarious, but wow what a twist!!!

 

PS I want to see more of Carlos Speitzer (Borlas) and his brother Alejandro (from MPV.) They have both really impressed me.

Carlos especially has that Lalo Yañez vibe and he should be a lead one day. (Who originally noted that? It's the only thing I can think of now when I see him.)
 

Gracias por la recapa !! Borlas is bulking up and so is Marianela. She looks especially pudgy in those 5th grade school clothes. Must be all the pizza she's eating that gpop Gil sends to the school. Is he or isn't he .. the gpop. My vote is no. But still don't get the $$ Sonia gave to Mari if she's not the mother.

I'm perplexed that Ferball would allow Isa the phone not to mention putting on the disguise in the driveway in plain view. He's slipping.

Why has Isa had to suffer so much in this TN? fArt needs some real suffering, hurtful, painful, multiple anvils instead of all the fawning women who have lusted after him and his ORANGE pants.
He and Ara are the two most disgusting lead characters I have ever seen. Truly, I love hating them!

The orange pants have annoyed me, but a lot of the scenes in this entire series have had bizarre colour schemes. I wonder what that was all about.

Feonando is slipping; he's had plenty of time to get overconfident.

Ditto on Gaby going after Dr Evil.
 

It's Feo's arrogance that will eventually take him down. He underestimates the women in his life, but just like the last time when Isa and Andy sent his azz to jail, I think it will be the women who are the ultimate weapons in his destruction. I'm betting Sonia this time.
 

Sara- I agree that the writers had this all planned from the beginning. They are pretty sadistic, but they certainly are keeping us on our toes because I have no idea where most of these characters will end up by the finale. The only thing they seemed to need to make up on the fly was the Gabi storyline since the actor's real life pregnancy was unexpected. Good on them for writing it in to the story so that she didn't have to hide behind things, have a body double, and exit early, like Marisol del Olmo did in MEPS.

I agree, Isa should have had a plan, especially with the return of her memory she knows how calculating Fernando is. The padded room is very macabre to me. We are only 4 days behind Mexico, so CD may be right, this novela may not end with the usual wedding, or will it?
Xint- sad to say but your ending is so appropriate.
 

Yep- Vivi- I think that it will be Sonia to take Feo down, at this point she has nothing to lose.
 

Vivi, will Art and Aranza or Gil ever find out the truth about Sonia killing the Padre and Eugenia ?

Yes Vivi-I'm really happy they decided to write the pregnancy in and to keep her character strong.
 

CD- I think the bad guys are going to turn on each other in a spectacular way to get all these truths out in the open. I'm looking forward to a major confrontation between Feo and Sucia where they air all the dirty laundry and have an audience, that should include fArt and Ara, with the mouths hanging open, but speechless for once.
 

Doesn't Dante still have the video coverage from Sucia's apartment? How much incriminating stuff is on it?
 

The only weddings I want at the end is Art and Marcela and Gil and Agatha for contrast & they adopt Mari.

Happy ending for me would be Ally taking the kids back to Spain and Bruno still attached to mama's teat and strapped in a car seat. Osvi cheats on Tita but uses his tested De La Rivas are due their harem excuse. Esteban dumps The Duck and won't let father-yucker around him ever. Isabel files for divorce and takes Art to the cleaners, moves into the big house with Gabi and their chillin, fires Lucha & Gabino & hires Ren & Stimpy. Oh, one May/December romance, Fab & Ileana

 

Tablet jefa, your fantastic recap conveyed all the tone and emotions of this very upsetting episode perfectly.

Some of my favorites were: "Gaby calls her a disgarceful, lying home wrecker and gives her a well deserved slap in the face. ( That baby is going to be some fighter)" and "(Cuca, you are a big mouth and you are very gullible!) – I totally agree!

I am going to go out on a limb here and say that I thought Isa overall handled herself fairly well last night. First, she sees Feo's treachery just as the horrid torturous events of her past came flooding back as her memory returned. Yes, she made some missteps. She was too overtly nervous and made the cardinal sin of leaving her phone on the bed. But who would have thought Feo would come charging in the bathroom while she was calling Gaby?

Sara, at least Gaby knows Isa is in trouble. But will she be able to find her??

The previews of a restrained Isa being given a shot was almost too much to bear.

Xint, Art is dead to me.

Karen, I completely agree with your comments on the recent TN galans. Imperfect? Slightly out of the box? Fine! Abusive - physically or emotionally? No. Our heroines deserve so much better.

Sara, I believe it was our Susanlynn who noted Borlas looked like a young EY. And yes, he is quite adorable but he is far too young for me so I will have to do with EY himself. Darn it! ;)

Not wrong Sara. Both are unsophisticated in love but trustworthy people. Ileana way more mature in her outlook and actions than her age belies and wasting her time with boys. Fab would give her the world and all the support to do whatever she wanted to do in her life and she him.
 

Actually, leaving the phone on the bed was intentional. Isa previously had the foresight to realize that he could look through her phone and see that she had made some calls, so she deleted that evidence, then made sure to leave him alone with it so he could see she hadn't, which led to his conclusion that she still didn't remember anything.
But then she just went stupid. Why would you risk making a call while you're in the same house as a criminal who wants you dead and hasn't hurt you only because he thinks you have no idea who he is? She was out all day and he had no idea. All she had to do was wait a few hours and she could get out of there without even needing help.
 

Why fire Lucha and Gabino? I mean Dafne, Mao, 'Drea and Gaby aside, they were the only other ones who showed any concern for Isa. (Yes Daffne did show concern when she was announcing to 'Za.) I would agree about Ren and Stimpy but they are already having fun playing Tita and Osvi.
 

I say fire them because they are Art's long time employees and while I understand they wanted to remain employed, when given a chance by Art to go with the woman that cannot be named or stay with him they did not hesitate.
 

Art and Maricela will get married and that will be the ending we'll see.


 

CD- all though they deserve each other, I think that that marriage if it happens will be short lived.
 

Thanks Kathy but the disturbing part of last night's English captions were that Gil said Sonia was not his by birth and they raised the kids with no distinction. It makes me think the writers have no plan or keep changing things. And I love your ending for this tn for fArt and Ara :)

Diana, while Isa initially handles herself well, if her memory had really come back, she knows how horrible Feo is and charging into the bathroom is not out of the ordinary. I think I am also very disappointed in the writing, which is extremely sadistic, as Vivi noted, towards Isa.


 

Karen and Vivi- after looking at tonight's previews I too wonder what the writers have against Isa.
 

Thank you for that frustrating episode. I was putting the little girls to bed, so I only saw the previews of the next episode. YIKES I cannot believe how much pain and suffering the writers have heaped onto one character..Isa. All her suffering is due to Her two bad choices 1. Ferd and 2. fArtie (sorry, every time I see or write this name, I giggle like I am 14.)

Yes, I first mentionned Borlas ms resemblance to Big Ed, who also reminds me a little of my hub.

I need some justice...and a little vengeance. Make this nonstop angst and evil stop.

Sara..I agree that this novela is not easy to watch...but I just have to watch. Fascinating.

The closed captions on this one were so bad I had to shut them off. I heard Sonia give Gil the story about the baby dying but Did she say what sex it was?

Karen, I don't know how Gil could say the kids were raised with no distinction unless he meant before his wife died. Because after his mom died Dan got sent away and ignored while Sonia got spoiled.

Wouldn't it be great if Art married Marcela and then found both Isabel's real test results as well as the fake one's in Marcela's briefcase? And she tried to kill him to keep him quiet so she wouldn't lose her license? Please let it be so.

On with the show---Also a continuation from yesterday. Why are the writers doing what they are doing? In CI, Maricruz with very little schooling but with a lot of business savvy was doing fine and then, almost over night
couldn't do anything right and lost everything. In this one we have another very successful business women that too, is making
all the wrong decisions. So smart and yet so dumb? We don't want our
women dumb or our galans either. What is going on here? Are the writers all living in Colorado and smoking something? Isa sees Feo putting on his wig {he slipped up} and gets her memory back. Then she gets on her phone to call for help with Feo just around the corner. Que??? This is unbelievable and how long does this magic cell phone run without a charge anyway?

So tonight Isa is in a padded cell. Where is Gaby when we need her? I can't wait.

Kathy I think Gil was saying until his wife died there was no distinction b/t the two. She died, Gil freaked and sent Dan away and spoiled Sonia. And she did keep lying. In this version of the story, the baby died. But then why did she set up an account for Mari? She needs to turn on Feo now.

Also I really enjoyed your scenario w/the witch doctor trying to kill fArt. If Isa is in a padded room, fArt needs to run for his life.
 

Xlnt--I love your Marcela and Art scenario. That would be great. If only the writers would stop smoking the weed and come up with
something like that. I have often thought that the Caray bloggers should get together and write a novela.

Gringo, a Caray, Caray tn would be great. We could start w/a kickstarter fund and see which stars we could get attached to the project. We'd also need to figure out if we wanted to go w/Uni or another network. I think we could do great job.

I think the funniest thing about Ferball's disguise is the nose. How seamless can this fake nose be? Does it come with the glasses? Isa should have pulled it off along with the wig just for giggles.
 

One last thing---I'm glad that the Por Siempre bloggers have come alive---FINALLY, we are giving Robo a run for the money. Don't get me wrong I love Angelique and I guess that the ladies love Rulli but come on, Por Siempre has been behind for far too long. The race is tightening.

Anon...ha.....yes, the nose and glasses are one ...like those Groucho Marx disguise glasses. Good one...gave me a giggle.
 

After over 100 episodes, why can't Univision do English closed captions right with this series? For the past 2 episodes, there were no English captions for the first 5 minutes, then the very slow appearing and often misspelled English captions started to crawl across the screen. It seemed like the English captions were being typed in real time. In some instances, the wrong or misspelled word would be backspaced and a more correct word inserted. All other telenovelas on the network seem not to suffer from these English caption problems. I checked and the Spanish closed captions appear normally, so it is confined to English closed captions. Why???
