Why does Art keep believing Ara's crap? At some point, you have to say enough. He keeps asking and she keeps lying. The perdonames have worn thin for me.
 

Thanks TJ! Was anyone else having trouble with the captions on this episode? On my TV it looked like someone was live typing the captions. You could actually see them backspacing to correct their mistakes! I finally had to turn them off because they were way behind the action and they were just too distracting.

The editing on this episode was really bad. They weren't just deleting scenes, they were cutting within scenes.

You're right TJ, Marcela is a snake. I hope that Isa and Art will now realize that Marcela is not to be trusted. Wonder if she'll try to make some excuse about why she was there?

What did Sonia say to Daniel at Fab's office? I missed that.


 

Yes, the closed captioning was ridiculous and embarrassing. Was a baby typing because even a child would have correctly spelled those words. I had to turn it off because it was distracting. It reminded me of a stuck keyboard. The scene editing has gone from bad to worse. One minute someone is seated and in the very next they are standing or vice versa. It's terrible.
Sucia told Daniel that she was happy that he was working there (yeah right!) and that she had gone to see Marianela and opened up an account for her, Tita knows and it should be kept quiet between them. So Dan asked why did she tell him, if she was expecting an applause, then forget it. It was the least that she could have done. He seems disgusted with Sucia- as is Viewerville. He may be our key to unraveling Sucia. He told her regarding work- he has to work, he has no other option because he is not going back home to Gil and Sucia agrees. Gil needs to learn to respect him, in other words, more inheritance for her.
 

I noticed the hostility between Dan and Sonia too:she's getting way too overconfident.

Still no word on where Cuca is ? Did she get mysteriously whacked?

Maricela reminds me of Fab's crazy mother: obsessed with your former flame years later.

Both crazy women have the same hair color.

Thanks, TJ. I am very interested in how things are finally revealed. I saw Maricel talking to Favier. How are they connected ? Maricela is awful. I hope she gets a big anvil.

I think that Sono might really be getting into her life as a rich man's wife, but she must pay for her evil deeds.

The Bonbon is coming on strong. Maybe he and Dan can finally expose the truth. I saw Estebonbon putting the cloth over Ara's face and carry her away over his shoulder , but did he decide to do that or did Art ask him to get her ? What was the point. As a parent, I can understand trying everything to protect your child from making a very bad decision or from a very bad person. it is hard to give up when you know the consequences will be awful...for everyone in the family. The trickle down will affect the whole family.
 

Thanks TJ !!! Poor Fab is confused indeed. Does he still think Sonia goes out every morning to teach school? Most tn's lack a bit of continuity but with all the deleting of scenes, this one is hard to follow at times. Sure moves right along tho, no filler here. I didn't get the last scenes. Are Isa and Art at odds because of Ferball and Mariciela or united in light of the secret Ara wedding plans. Will they be pulled apart or will adversity make them strong, sigh.

I'm not quite sure what happened in this episode, but from all your comments it seems it was an eventful episode I should see. Anyone mind giving a bare bones, 2-4 sentence highlights of the important events?
 

Ileana uncovered by chance Aranza to marry and asked Esteban to intervene which he declined but changed his mind overnight, followed her and Javier and grabbed her, used a chloroform rag and sped away from the court house. Marcela was there to witness. Unknown to Ileana of Estebans change of mind she went in a panic to Isabel and they followed as well and saw what went down.

Osvi has sleep apnea and Tita sleep deprived.

Dan is working for Fab and while Sonia not happy is trying to convince Dan she is and is trying to help Mari.

Fernando at first didn't know why he was stood up at the altar and slightly agitated.
 

Oh, Art and Isabel argued with ABrat after the soft abduction that Javier must know about the trust fund and amount and she lied and also lied and said Sonia doesn't know the amount.

Did Ara do something particularly bad since so many of the comments are about her? I thought marrying Fevier was all about trying to help her dad financially. Or is there something particularly hateful that she did this epi?

Aranza gets flack from us because she's an arrogant brat who's severely in denial.

Will somebody please tell us whether it's true that Feo could claim half of her inheritance that is contingent on her getting married? That would be so wrong on every level. Can anybody still make a inheritance conditional on that in the 21st century? If so, that is beyond insulting. It's worse than usual application of the Law of Entail (which Benjamin Almonte could have found handy in LQLVMR).


 

I was just wondering why this particular episode Ara was getting flack. I know about all her past crimes. Just seemed odd that there were so many comments when it seemed the only thing she had done this episode was try to get married to give her dad money, and gotten herself kidnapped by Bonbon. But Tofie explained about the fight with the parents post-kidnapping, so it makes sense now.
 

Vivi, when Aranza gets slapped and beaten by Feo and it will happen, the audience will be sitting back and saying, "TOLD YOU SO ".


 

Vivi- Ara wants to help her dad with good intentions. We must also remember that the road to hell is paved with good intentions. She repeatedly lied to Art saying that she didn't know how much the trust fund was worth and that she didn't share that info with Javier. Once Art found out that she lied she wanted to be forgiven as usual and continued to lie about sharing the trust fund amount with Javier. Yes, she wants to help her dad but her method was unacceptable. She should have just told the truth.. She was downright rude and disrespectful to Isa, so much for her help.
 

Another reason for the flack- Este offered to marry her and suddenly she was loyal and announced that she had a boyfriend. She picks and chooses her virtues. Art explained that if she gets the trust fund her husband is entitled to half. She still didn't back down.
 

OK. Clearly I need to catch up and watch these episodes, but can someone explain the lead up to the aborted wedding. From the comments it seems that Ara proposed to Fevier, told him about her inheritance and her plan to help her dad, and then made a deal to give him half of the inheritance. Is this what happened?

I don't think that Ara agreed to,give Javier half of her inheritance, he is entitled by marital law according to Art.

OK. So what did Ara lie about then?
 

Vivi - Aranza did not agree to give Javier any of the inheritance and told him the money was to help her dad and she needed the marriage certificate to gain access. She also told him they would continue as they have and show respect to Art, she continue her education and keep the same living arrangements. Of course we know he has earmarked that money for himself. She did not tell Javier the amount either but Sonia was with her at the bank and knows and told Fernando it was way more than they both had imagined.
Esteban argued she could have married him if she only wanted the marriage certificate instead of a man she has known for 3 months. Aranza of course thinks that stupid because she has a boyfriend. What she didn't consider and what Art and Isabel pointed out is that with that marriage certificate Javier would be entitled to half.

If we want to get real picky we don't know if the trust was payable in a lump sum (assuming it is) or a stipend over time. Furthermore, the trial will take time and the judgement if any may not be payable for a year or more.

Ara proposed to Javier to help her Dad, but she was planning on keeping the wedding a secret from her parents. She was still going to live there and go to school. Javier agreed to it but with the intention of having control over her inheritance. She was not aware that legally he was entitled to half.
 

I hope that Ara does not go through with the marriage because then the mess is really going to hit the fan. It has taken two years for my family to clean up a similar mess. One bad person can cause so many problems financial and otherwise for not only the unfortunate person he marries, but for that person's entire family. Everyone suffers when a family member marries a. As person. I cannot believe that Mexican law would grant half of Ara's inheritance to her husband. The Bonbon who as the saying goes "is better than bread"'would not take half but instead let Ara give the whole amount to Art to get him out of the mess that Ferball has created for him.

Things just keep getting worse and worse, but I am hoping that Dan and Bonbon combine their smarts to figure out what is going on before Ara actually marries that dreadful toad. It is oainful to watch so much damage being done to innocent people.

I cannot wait to see Ferball and Sono get a visit from karma for all the harm they have so gleefully wrought. Right now, I am more interested in this show than I am with Robo.

Well---Everyone, absolutely everyone is praising the BonBon for rescuing Aranza from a BIG mistake, her secret wedding to disaster---ok, I get that, but---that scene was absolutamente ridiculous, I couldn't stop laughing and I know that it wasn't meant to be funny. Let's take a look at it--break it down. They are in a large government building and Aranza has to go to the ladies room. Esteban follows her and of course there is no one in there, they're
alone. They briefly talk and he puts the chloroform over her nose and carries her out. It was mentioned, where did he get the chloroform? Ok, he just happened to have some laying around so he brought it with him but that's only part of it. As I said, they are in a large public/government building. So after Este knocks her out, he slings her over his shoulder and walks down a long hallway and out the front door. Not a single person near them in a busy public building. Where are the cameras? Where is security? Where is the guard at the front door? Ok---next, down the buildings front stairs and into his waiting car parked right in front. I ask, when has any of you been able to park right at the front door of a public/government
building? You usually have to park a block and a half away at least. Yes I know it's a novela and Aranza did need to be stopped but forgive me Caray Mates, I just couldn't believe what I had just seen---I couldn't stop laughing. Comments anyone?

Perhaps the Bonbon stopped by the chemistry lab at the university. I think that he could be a fireman after watching him sling Ara over his shoulder and carry her. By the way, I saw this actor on Hoy the other day, and I do not understand much Spanish, but I think that he and his wife are expecting a baby. I also saw Martha Julia who is now very pregnant. Was this novela speeded up due to her pregnancy ? I have also caught a little of the DA reruns , and Martha played a bad girl married to galan Big Ed Yanez. She looked so different with long , straight platinum blonde hair.
 

gringbro, it was the epitome of hilarity but I guess if you can have Fernando and his prison mates just leisurely drive away in Sonias car, like they were headed on spring break, you can have Esteban run across a courtyard at a municipal building with an unconscious female thrown over his shoulder. First thought was someone will at least shout at him and second was, damn bet she's heavy.

Funny her parents and friend were ok with the whole thing and not a word about how it went down.
 

Gringo- OK. Now I HAVE to watch this episode! LOL! And I was the one who wondered where the heck he got the chloroform.
 

Gringo and Tofie, I was laughing at this scene too! The only thing that could have been funnier is if Este had grabbed Ara under the armpits and dragged her out of the building and down the stairs and she lost her shoes along the way.

I thought it was dumb that they cut so much of the critical scenes and left in the nonsense about Ozvi's snoring. Who cares?

 

Hey guys, don't get me wrong, I really love this show and I know that the writers had to come up with something to keep Aranza from marrying the toad. I don't know if I could have come up with anything better but I still chuckle thinking about that rescue

Another laughing moment but more believable was Agatha with the vacuum. She knows how to handle Gil for sure--she's tough, you go girl. She'll have him tamed in no time.

Well with Art's dire financial straits they should let Dante go but he would just end up as the driver for Tita and Osvi.

Loved it when Esteban was on the phone with Javier and kinda taunted him and did not seem afraid either. Aranza didn't seem to react much to Javier's anger. He has always been so calm, cool and in control around her. Why would he be so angry anyway it was just for a piece of paper as a favor.
 

Can I just mention how weird it was when the romantic song was still playing in the background when Esteban chloroformed Aranza. They didn't even change it to semi-dramatic music. I laughed so hard. Before he straight-up kidnapped her I was chanting "Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!" at my screen. So much Aranza hate. She's dislikable sometimes but I feel like I have to defend her she's not that bad.
