The best part was Feo telling Ara the truth - that she was just a tool to get to Isa. Ara in a million years would have never figured that out.

The most mind boggling part was Isa being convinced that if only Art could see the video, it would be obvious she was innocent. Of course it was the video that sunk her. Clearly she had no idea how this all would look on the outside - otherwise she would never have gone down this path.

Well, Isa did achieve her objective after all.

Susana Gonzalez just plays the super-anxious, long-suffering, victimized woman toooo well. I still haven't gotten over her abused character in Amores Verdaderos.
 

She really does play that part well.

Funny you should mention it because I was thinking of her AV part this morning and thinking maybe she gets type cast....but then I remembered her part in LQNPA. She was a very good antagonista in that. She was scary evil in that one.

What an episode, Marisela showed her claws and Javier told Ara part of the truth- finally. I didn't feel sorry for Ara. She didn't listen clearly to him because she should wonder how did he get that information about her trust fund unless she thinks that Isa told him. I could jump through the tv and choke Marisela myself, what a bold faced liar!. She has no limits! Everyone should stop, take a deep breath and start figuring out exactly what is going on, the lies are many. I'm also glad that Tita put a bug into Gil's ear about Sucia having an interest in Mari. Gil couldn't believe that Sucia helped anyone else but herself. Now that we are in the ultimas capitulos it should be juicy. Tonight was a complete episode, #131

I wonder if Sonia and Cuckoo Doc are sisters? Both use well timed, ill intended facts and innuendo, then sit back to watch the show. Loved it when she was at Art's to put the nail in Isabel's coffin but ABrat burst in, after confronting Javier, confirming the affair and the Doc quietly excused herself.

ABrat - convenient to blame Isabel for your panties flying off

Art - it's only partly true

Fernando - always an unanticipated wildcard

Marcela - fruit of the loon, spinning truth, half truth & lies

Isabel - sure he'll listen, not like you were in a hotel room, down to a robe and macking

Sara, you did a phenomenal job with this, particularly as you inadvertently deleted the episode. I really enjoyed your hippocratic oath references and thought "I'm pretty sure that backstabbing counts as using a knife (see Old Oath)" was simply great.

"She throws a whole forest's worth of shade on Isa" was also one of my favorites.

Am beyond dismayed at how things are playing out. I expected Ara to learn the truth when Isa and Art did. I never saw the train wreck, the devastation of Isa coming full speed ahead.

But Ara doesn't know one major fact. That Feo was Isa's husband. Once that is revealed, won't that give creedance to the revenge factor??

And, Feo is going to have his son murdered??

You made a good point about the video Audrey but in Isa's defense, she is beyond desperate. To say she isn't thinking would indeed be an understatement.

I am beyone upset at the ruination of Isa. The only person who still believes in her is Gaby.

I cannnot accept that Isa will be alone when this ends, CD. Granted, I feel Art is no prize at this point but to have Isa lose her husband, daughter in addition to the son she already lost would be terrible.

This was a tragic episode and you did a fantastic job Sara.

After Ara barged in and told Art about Feo and Isa and as they were hugging I really began to have some doubts about a happy ending for Isa. I even wondered if we've been duped all along and it will turn out that this show has NOT been about Isa and Art but Ara and Art.

Isa doesn't deserve a sad ending. Yeah, she was pretty stupid with this plan but she was being manipulated by Feo and Marcela was unknowingly playing into it with her own false cancer diagnosis.

Yes its 5th dimension beanie time, but I am riveted because I can't quite figure out where its going and I really care about Isa.

I fear I am clinging to (an increasingly diminishing) hope that love, truth and justice will prevail.

It was horrific enough that Isa was the venemous target of Feo, but the evil doctora added yet another hideous layer of evil.

I like Esteban but frankly, having him end up with Ara would not be the ending I would hope for him. Yes, what happened to her was terrible, but, it pales in comparison to what has transpired with Isa.

Yes, Isa conceived a ridiculous plan but she did so to save her daughter. She labored for years to have her daughter love her. She endured a marriage and betrayal with Feo, she lost her son (I am 99% sure the doctora caused the death) and endured countless other hardships.

I know this is just a show but the fact that this is our beloved Susana makes the possibility that Isa ends up alone almost unbearable.

I believe this is about the stepmother, Isabel, and her trials & tribulations and though motivated by a loving heart an unfair fight from the start. She so desperately seeks love and acceptance she is willing to sacrifice herself and while it crazy to do it for Art or especially Aranza, I understand the premise. Martyrs usually die, however.

My cringe worthy moment last night was after Fernando told the twit Aranza she was a tool to get to Isabel, she screamed she hated him but hated Isabel more.

And Art ordering Isa out of the house was heartwrenching.

Isa has suffered too much for the two most insufferable TN characters ever created. The lengths she has gone to for those two selfish, unappealing, anvil deserving twits is heartbreaking. Isa deserves much better! She may not be too bright but neither are the two she is trying to help and she deserves a better fate than father and daughter. Those two have always turned my stomach!
The only romantic male lead in this TN has been Esteban and he deserves better than Ara but will wind up with her. Too bad Isa is too old for him.
I agree that our beloved Susana does not deserve to end up alone.

ABrat will play the victim to Esteban and he'll be back if he survives. She angrily said she had left the love of her life to be with Fernando and one reason she hated him now. Problem for me is Fernando really didn't do much wooing at the start, it was Aranza that developed a schoolgirl crush and got all googly-eyed and swooned when he kissed her. Sure, Sonia, Fernando, The Duck and even Isabel greased the slide some but they just supported what she was going to do anyway. Did Fernando pour it on after he took her virginity to keep her, sure, but Esteban gave her plenty of opening to leave and come back to him and she didn't. She even ate up his spin of what went down at the hotel and ABrat was going to assist in condemning Isabel to Art as the pursuer. Only after she viewed the video was there a moment of pause and it really took Fernando telling her he actually wanted Isabel the idiot finally got it. For her to now say it would never have happened without that scheming pair is a lie. She would have married Fernando in the next day or two, not just for the money but because she loved fat boy, Esteban be damned.

I am worried about that preview of Isa confronting Fernandon't . She only knows that he is a grifter and lying liar who lies. she does not know that he is a psychopath and a ruthless, crazy killer.

How will the truth come out about all of Sono's evil doings? I think that verbally will gave to rat her out because I don't see her confessing to killing Eugenia, turning Ara against Isa,mand helping Ferfer cheat everyone. The stuff is going to hit the fan.

Racking my brain. ABrat met Javier at Sonia's and she invited him to the party at Gils so they are tied to each other. That does not point to Sonia killing Eugenia even if Javier is uncovered as Fernando. Even when we discover if Mari is Sonia's or Sonia's and Fernando's, it still does not point to Eugenia's death. It would have to be Fernando telling to take her down with him or Sonia's gf for some reason talking or if she like our dear Isabel, as TJ uncovered, keeps a diary.

I've bounced around the possibility Sonia and Doctor Doom were in cahoots but why help Sonia get rid of Eugenia when DD wanted Art too.
 

Argh! First of all, I've gone back and added the "I hate Isa more" and "I left the love of my life for YOU?!" comments to the recap. Both made it into my notes, but I guess by the end of the recap I had decided "I don't need no stinkin' notes!!" (Pride goeth before the fall.) Thanks for the reminders.

The avances look very, very bad for Isa. Where are our TN historians? Have we ever had a TN in which the protagonista died?

I do not think that Sono and the b/witch doctor conspired to kill Eugenia because they both wanted Artie . The b/witch doctor seems to be a lone wolf/loose cannon.

The previews showed Fernandon't chasing Isa , and then Isa lying on the sidewalk. Let's hope that someone comes along, and F. runs away . Isa ends up in the hospital where a doctor treats her and reveals that she does not have cancer. Now, how will Dr. doom be revealed ? Did she shred Isa's real test results or are they still in her briefcase ? If they are in the briefcase, maybe her nurse somehow gets them and sends them to Isa. Does anyone know that Dr. Is crazy and has been manipulating all Isa's tests ?

Sono has been keeping a very low profile. She seems to have settled into the role of wife of a rich dude. She seems to have distanced herself from Fern. I cannot figure out which of these two will be revealed first, but I think the one who is revealed will turn on the other. The only other people who know who Sono and Fern really are and what they have done are Dante and Efrain.
 

There have been novelas where the male protagonist died in the finale:

Angeles Blancos from 1994.
Pueblo Chico, Infierno Grande from 1997.

Velo de Novia from 2003 -- which also starred Susana Gonzales -- had the original hero shot to death at the midpoint. Eduardo Santamarina came back in the second half as the (unrelated to the original) hero of the second half.

While everyone is talking about last night, I still am focused on Thursday night. I can't get that episode out of my mind. The episode that ran Thursday evening no doubt will end up in the novela history book hall of fame or should it be hall of shame, shame for stupidity that is. I'm still laughing although I know that the writers didn't mean it to be funny.
After the plan or game/challenge if you will, gets started, we have Feo talking. While the night is young, why don't you get out of your clothes and put on a bathrobe so that you can be more comfortable. Ok, I will. Oh! and something that I'm not going to tell you, while you are changing, I'll be putting some knock out drops in your wine and when you start to get woozy, I'll relieve you of your tape recorder. Also--
I'll leave the patio curtains open so that if anyone should happen to walk by, they will be able to watch a pro in action. Also it will be good for filming. You don't mind do you? Ok, then let's get started. Don't worry Isa, no one will be able to barge in on us, these hotel doors
are very strong they could even stop a raging bull. Everything will be fine I assure you.

People were questioning whether Isa would go through with it, go all the way or not. Remember the agreement was that if you win and can seduce me, then you win and can marry Aranza but if you can't seduce me, then you loose and you can't marry Aranza. No matter that Aranza is of age and can make her own decisions, but that is another story. Isa, estupido thought that Javier would play fair. She never thought that she would be drugged and besides, she brought along two trusted friends
to back her up if she needed help.
So yes, Isa was planning on winning the bet. She hadn't planed
on being drugged or having Art/bull break down the door.

Oh! And one more point of laughter
With all of the yelling and screaming that was going on, there
wasn't a resort manager, worker or someone from security anywhere in sight. I guess that they were all having dinner.

Sara, great work! I was really taken aback that Javier confessed he really didn't love Aranza and Isabel was his target all along. Did anyone else think he was going to trap her and hold her hostage?

SusanLynn, hopefully Dr. Evil hasn't had time to shred Isabel's real test results. But her nurse knows the truth. Remember when she asked Marcela why Isabel was crying when her test results were normal?

Diana, Gabi always knew Dr. Evil was not to be trusted and I think Bruno got a hint last night. He kept telling Art not to believe Marcela. I don't think Andrea will buy this either although I may be wrong on that. She did say she's couldn't understand why Isabel allowed Javier in her house.

I thought it might be helpful to start a list of the major things that still need to be resolved:

A couple of things I want to add - Remember, the title of this TN is Por Siempre Mi Amor, Forever My Love. We are three weeks out from the finale so I think there is still time for Art and Isa to get back together, as well as Este and Ara, though we all know he deserves better.

While we are in the last weeks of this TN I think it's appropriate to remind everyone that this blog is a spoiler-free zone. So if you know what happens or if you've seen other versions of this story, please keep it to yourself.


 

I was hoping that the hotel doc was going to order tests to clear that fake diagnosis stuff once and for all. He also should not have allowed Isabel to leave before determining what the drug was.

Another possibility for a malpractice suit.

Finally, when FeVier gave Dante the order to kill Esteban he more than earned his place in hell.

I hope Andrea doesn't have to bury a son because the the clown house cross town let Javier in the door. She wouldn't.

UA, and Isabel & Gabi like gave the date rape dope to the good doctor for analysis, plus Isabel did not go to get tested for the drug. Opportunity missed. Since Isabel now knows there is a tape wonder if she gets that prescription filled.

I also noticed, Dante gave another little pause when Fernando told him to kill Esteban. Wasn't much but a feeble we ain't ready yet.

I'm looking forward to the conversation between Esteban and ABrat and how deep the dodo gets.

Yes, I thought that the hotel doctor would be the one to run some tests on Isa and tell her that she did not have cancer. I cannot believe that the writers have given two lunatics and a petulant stepchild to Isa to deal with. At least in AV Beatrice was just dealing with her awful husband and had support from her mother and friends.

And yes, I thought that Fernandon't would trap Ara in that spar tent after he spilled the beans. He seems to starting to spin out of control...It can't happen soon enough for me. I want a ginormous anvil to squash him flat as a pancake.

I think that in the end, Isa and Art , Bonbon and Ara , Borlas and Mari, Ileana and Dan , Agatha and Gil will be together. Maybe Gaby and Bruno will be together, too...somehow. Fer and Sono will probably be together....in hades. ...I hope.

Tofie, yes Isabel got the prescription filled. Gabi was going to get Isa some tea and Marcela's prescription just before Isabel bolted out the door to go back home. I can't believe they left the bottle of date rape drug with Dr. Evil.

Anyone think there's hope for Dante? He did pause when Feo told him to kill Este, but I'm of the opinion that was just because his crimes thus far have been relatively minor. He's watching out for himself more than having any concern about Esteban.

I think Marcela has overplayed her hand. She can't claim the tape doesn't exist anymore.

 

Sara thanks so much for this recap. So glad you all are here and I can read the recaps as things have become much too dark for me. The thought that poor Isa might not make it to the end is so sad especially w/Art and Ara surviving.

tofie, Feo killing the doctora for spoiling his plans did occur to me. Unfortunately, all his hatred seems directed now at killing Esteban so as to devastate his mother - now that she has ripped Isa and her family apart.

Art is pompous, short tempered, jealous, controlling/manipulative, high maintenance and a child, just like his daughter. They need someone like Isabel to prop them up and worship them when times are good and someone to kick when they are not. Fernando and the Doc did her a favor. Run, Isabel, like the wind.

--Finding out who was caused the car accident that killed Miguelito (Did that investigation ever go anywhere?)

I am really annoyed by the chop job Univision has given us and I'm not even sure why at this point. There have been no promos as to what is coming up next and usually Univision is quick to publicize that. So that makes me think they HAVE NO IDEA. It also seems that they rushed this so that it would end almost concurrently with Mexico's airing. Why would they do that? Surely they aren't going to run La Gata next? I don't think UNI has ever run a TN at the same time it's running in Mexico. Aren't we always a least a few weeks behind? I would think they would want to see how the ratings are before starting La Gata. So maybe El Color de Pasion is next as it holds the #3 ratings spot right now (behind LQLVMR and QPTR.) We know Uni is all about the ratings.

Anyhoo...all that rambling to say What was the point of all the chopping? We were only 2 months behind Mexico (the usual delay) and I would have really liked to see all the stories in their entirety. I enjoyed this TN and would have enjoyed it more if I had been allowed to see ALL the stories and seen ALL the characters....not just the "main event."

Yeah, I'm beating a dead horse.
 

I'd like to see Gabi end up with Fab, although he's not the sharpest since he thinks Sonia's wonderful. But he's decent and would treat Gabi well. She once lamented that she wanted a man with his qualities. I'd like to see Alli divorce Bruno and become a lovely independent woman raising lots of kids and enjoying life. Let Bruno just fade away; he's just so damn annoying. Otherwise, I agree with Susanlynn regarding who will end up with whom.

I've had a chance to read all of the comments and all I can say is wow, they're great. Siempre is giving Robo a run for the money.
The last two nights have put the Siempre bloggers on fire and I'm no exception. It's only a movie so how can we get so involved? I don't know the answer to that. TJ wanted to craw thru the tv and choke Marcela. She's a real snake but I have said before that there snakes everywhere. I would like to strangle a few myself. The writers must be doing a good job because many of us viewers are besides ourselves.

Triunfo Del Amor didn't get high marks. People said that El Talisman was a train wreck. The Corazon Indomable crowd deserted in droves and with Siempre, people have been clamoring for ultima semanas. Well we got the ultima semanas warning recently but I for one can't wait for Monday noche. Must see tv for sure

Isabel has just gone beyond desperate. While trying to save her daughter-in-law from what would be a great disaster, she herself has reached disaster. After making a huge mistake, her world is crashing down around her.
Will she be killed off or be kicked to the curb and end up lonely and without anything?

So Dr. Demento tells Isa that there was a malfunction and she didn't get the video and next we see Art Dad watching the video. Is it safe to say that Dr. Marcela has LOST A PATIENT?

After Feo put the knock out drops in Isa's wine glass, he put the bottle of drugs in his pocket. How did the good doctor get them?
And wouldn't that add some weight to Isa's innocence in the issue?

Can I wish?

Esteban & Ileana but after university and grad school and settled in their careers see each other again and a romantic spark and mutual respect make them a power couple. Cute well behaved babies that don't even cry.

Bruno - live in the basement at mom's and play Erector set 24/7

Fab & Gabi - I'm with Anon 3:30. Fab grew up in a single parent home and an absent father. They both are professional but want a deep romantic connection and neither want drama.

Art - Yard boy & gofer for Fab & Gabi and after being emasculated in a hedge trimming accident no longer a treat to womankind.

Isabel - wary to fall right back into a relationship she finally seeks some professional help, remains single, dates some but but the two nut case husbands left a mark. She founds a non profit; Doormats Anonymous.

Dan & Mari - awwww, they are made for each other

Borlas - can't quite make it through mechanics school but runs away and joins Chippendales with a bevy of adoring female fans that line up to slip a buck in his suspenders.

Aranza - after Esteban hides from her for a few years she finally realizes he might not want her. Though she puts up billboards professing her undying love for him it doesn't keep her from bouncing from man to man and must have fallen in love with herself more times than Carter got Little Liver Pills.

The Duck - moves to NY and writes a blog giving family and relationship advise. She dates but usually never gets a second and occasionally brings a guy home but they are really drunk. In her spare time she feeds the ducks in central park and fantasizes it's hers.
 

Ay, yay, yay! Knowing this episode and the recap were going to be painful, I did not watch it, not did I read the recap until now. Sara- Thanks so much for taking on such a painful episode. Maybe it's a blessing that it was erased so that you didn't have to watch twice. The only thing I'm shocked about is that Feo let his mask drop with Ara. I think I will have to fast forward just to that scene.

We're in the final stretch now. Not sure how we can get spoilers since we are caught up with Mexico now, unless folks are throwing out spoilers from the 1980s version of this tn. I wonder when Uni will show the finale? Mexico is showing it on a Sunday, but I can't see Uni doing that with this tn.
 

OK. I just watched only the scenes I wanted to see. Cute scenes between Osi and Tita, and Gil and Agatha. Does Gil really believe Sonia will come out and tell him the truth when he asks her why she's opened a bank account for Mari? She'll just come up with lie #2,055.

I'm glad Feo revealed himself to be a villain to Ara, BUT he also sowed more seeds of hatred for Isa by telling Ara that he and Isa had a thing going the WHOLE time and she just faked hating him too cover their tracks. That's why Ara said she hates Isa even more because the betrayal seems even more great from her. Poor Isa. The writers are determined to really make her suffer till the bitter end, and much of it because of her own missteps (unlike the great suffering of the Amor Bravio heroine at the end).

does he do know. I don't think he will be working at Fab's company much longer---this is getting interesting. Must see TV tonight.

Susanlynn, funny you mention grifters because that is what they are, in for the long con. In the movie I remember the mother killed both the sons girlfriend, staged her own death and then tried to steal her sons money, and killed him. We may have Sonia attempt a hit on Fernando, he's got the money she doesn't.

Gringo, I'll take a shot but the writers, thankfully, threw a curve I didn't expect with Javier spilling to ABrat so quickly so who knows. He has plenty of money and could just leave town but no, that won't do. He made a comment to himself that he messed up mixing business with revenge wanting Isabel, Aranza and the trust fund, but now he will just have to make Isabel pay. He is angry now and will be even more brash than before but sloppy. I think he tries to kill Isabel after he tells her who he really is just to see the fear and disbelief in her eyes, already gave orders to kill Esteban, not just because he is a romantic rival but Andy's son, goes after Fab when he gets fired and maybe Dandy Dan uncovers his tracks at work.

Sonia, is more troubling because recently she is loving the whole respectability trip. It will start first with ABrat putting together Sonia and Javier know each other. So what if she is Mari's mom unless someone finds out Fernando is the baby daddy.

Sara---I record the show every night and I have last Friday marked as #89 but the banner title has it as #92 so I'm not sure but whatever number it is, tonight will be super as Feo comes unglued.

Gringo- I think Sara was speaking about the Mexican episode numbers which are in the 130s now. I haven't really been watching these, so I don't know if they have that choppy/edited feel. I wouldn't be surprised if they stopped the chopping/combining so that they can end this show on a Friday, five days after it ends in Mexico.
 

Friday's episode was #131 in Mexico and I believe it was a full episode.

Kathy- That makes sense. That puts us four episodes behind Mexico. I'm guessing that the final epi will be 2 hours, so that puts us five hours/five epis behind Mexico. Mexico will end on a Sunday, and we will end on the following Friday.

Sara, Nope you are not. All the blind sides and dodging death and lie upon lie unraveling. Just hope it's not anti-climatic like Aranza being told her cubby boy toy doesn't give a flip about her. I liked how it went down and was a surprise to me but I hoped Aranza would realize how much a fool she's been, instead she gets a pass and gets to blame Isabel.

No idea what they will fling at me tonight and like it.

And who fainted? Isa? Does that mean she's telenovela pregnant?
 

I thought it said últimos capítulos, but I could be wrong.

Isa had been drugged and therefore fainted.

I'm guessing that Isa won't die, but will wind up in a hospital bed, with one of the villains, Marcela most likely, approaching with a pillow. Don't we have to have that scene in every TN?
 

Aleta- If that happens, I hope it's Art who catches her in the act. How would Marcela explain that?!
 

I have to wait until tomorrow to watch it. I promised my husband to not torture him anymore by having PSMA on while he was in the house. Poor thing on Friday banished himself to the outdoors til it was over. He can't bear to see/hear SG in full panic/drama mode. :)
