Okay, I missed the first 8 minutes. Why suddenly is Blanca convinced that Adriano is guilty as accused?

Well, no taxpayer money wasted on lengthy criminal trials. Judge gets right to the point. We see Adriano dressed in prison orange and led away. Fortunately, his new cellmate appears to be a decent-hearted killer who hands out advice about surviving in the big house.

Who really deserves to be in prison is Papa Leonidas. I want to reach thru the TV and shake the old man till his dentures fall out! What a dreadful, weak excuse for a father he is.

My other dream is to see Ivan pull Raquel's cheap wig off while they are in the throes of passion. Guess I'm just feeling mean tonight.

J N O Blanca saw the tape of Adriano's visit to Memo when he died in the prescience of Raquel, who put her spin on it, plus Adriano did not tell Blanca he was in Memos room when he died, so,she thinks he lied to her, then she saw the tape Fer made saying A. Was the killer, again in the presence of Raquel. It was very convincing. If I didn't know the truth I would have been convinced as she was.

It looks like Ramon is going 2 pay big time for liking Cat. Hope he gets out of going 2 prison.

Rafa I don't like you right now. Greed is your name. Wake up. Oh yeah, you did. No sympathy 4 u.

Leo please grow a spine and for once do the right thing by Valentina.

Mariana where did u go? You r a murderer. You just can't get away. What about the phone u threw away. Will someone find it and see Tuero's recording? It could not have burned after all the traveling it did.


 

So, Blancoria has been convinced that Adriano et al, have been lying to her. So she decided to come clean with Eddie. And, to top it off, decides to do it at a totally inappropriate time and place, the opening of HIS bar with HIS family, including Sofia in attendance. What a dope. Thank goodness for the Domingo/Socorro intervention or the telenovela would have ended right there.

P.S. Does anyone have any idea why some of the "decoration" in the bar are bookcases with shelves of books?

Mariana, please come back, we need you to liven things up. As cute as Ivan is, he speaks too softly and smiles too sweetly.

Valentina is not acting as drugged and sedated as she has previously. Maybe she's spitting out the medicine like she did before. If nurse Ratchett won't help her, why would she think Leo would. He's failed her before.

I can't figure out whether Val is in the Altamira family attic (a la Mrs. Rochester) or a commercial U-Store-It facility.

This is interesting. When I looked at this thread only saw J N O.s first post. When I went to reply there have been 4 or 5 posts added. Guess my computer thinks it is one of the phones that keep disappearing in this TN. Still wondering why this happened.

Tofie Mariana has only stuck the one guy with a needle. The fact that she killed him only because she was told to do so, and did it so matter of factly is enough for me to want to see her put away. Personality though she has. She seems to have repented of a lot of her past but is it just for now when she is unhappy or is it a true change? Good advice to Lt. Salvadore,

Anita..thanks for pointing out Blancoria revealing her impostoraship was inappropriate. I was so caught up that she was doing it. You expressed what I was feeling but didn't realize it.

 

I don't think Mariana reformed but have come to like her character or maybe it is most of the other characters are so ho-hum. I know we have beat the Lisette horse but my god how did she get this job and Ed looks and acts like an entitled little boy with a few manners.

What is apparent, most of the poor folk wanna be associated with the Altamaria's and can't run fast enough into their arms including Blanca. As much as they hate them they want to be them.

You have a wicked witch Raquel that for years has terrorized the neighborhood and everybody knows it but Blanca just rolls over but you have Ramon that has been impeccable all his life beat down and called a thief and liar because of a phantom deposit discovered because his ex opened his mail and knew his banking password.
 

Tofie--True, she has been terrorizing the neighborhood and how soon Blanca forgets. The whole chain of events started when Raquel fired Memo for letting the workers off early because it was New Year's Eve. I can't remember clearly, but wasn't it through Leo's intercession that he got it back at all? So NOW she thinks Raquel is all Snow White Innocent?

Even if she hadn't gone to the party to beg, Memo's days would have been numbered because of Adriano's accusations at the same party. Raquel couldn't risk Memo spilling any Val+baby beans.
 

I agree, Blanca couldn't have picked a worse time to have that important conversation with Ed. Lisette M. is very wooden in this role but don't know if anyone else could do better with the script.

I could NOT believe Karina, the nerve to snoop in Ramon's bank papers. She doesn't want to let go of either Ramon or Jorge, and just wobbles back and forth between them, so annoying!

Fortunately the other secondary characters and their plots are enough to keep me hooked. BTW, where is Fernanda?

Oh, I also was wondering how Adriano scored a full bookshelf with some encyclopedias and other volumes in his cell. Guess he pulled some strings?

What happened? All the poor folk other than Ramon & Tita want to be Altimara's and have no qualms with snooping, lying and cheating to get there. Blanca especially has truly lapped this up so she can avoid going back to her old life.

I shed a bucket of dry tears at Raquel's sad story of how Leo and Melania betrayed her dear sweet mother and produced Leticia. She couldn't bring herself to tell her mother and had to carry this anguish around all these years.....PARDONEME, but after mamma died, why (you ruthless b**ch) er dear believable MIL, didn't you sack Melania instead of torturing her "daughter"? A question Blancoria will never ask, medicines be damned.

Just realized that Blanca will have to tell Eddie her real name if they want to get married.

Oh well, Salvador is on the case, poor tortured soul. He wants to do right but he has to do wrong to get it right.

P.S. Will be away for several days, but will catch up with you steadfast impostor watchers next week.
 

So now Karina has a right to open the parcel that arrived in the mail for Ramon? Sheesh. And, the whole stupid story of Ramon stealing the money which Adriano gave him for the orphans falls apart if/when Adriano speaks to the authorities. How long will that take? Glad Ramon rebuffed Karina when she gave that lame apology for not believing in his innocence...but wasn't it after that, that she opened the box that arrived in the mail for him? Witch!

Anita: Yep, Melania, the "scorned family servant", stands by for two decades while Raq tortures her (Melania's) daughter? Hmmm...Raq was not thinking that story through. Unlike us, the viewers!

I do miss Mariana. I want to feel some empathy for her now, but wish they hadn't had her kill that innocent guy by the pool earlier...

What made me mad initially is she went to Jorge first before she thought to ask Ramon. Now the holier than thou Jorge decides he is the one to tell the police. No different than Ed or even their mother. If things are not to their liking just remove the person and the easiest way is to use their name and guilt or innocence means nothing. Jorge, Karina, Rafa, Clemente and Raquel are gonna be pissed he is not jailed yet.

I noticed Cat did not jump to conclusions and chided Karina but it didn't slow her down. Probably won't be long though before Cat turns on him too.
 

I am wondering if when Rafael gets caught, and I am sure he will, playing both sides if he rats on everyone. I used to like him. I like his acting but not his character anymore. He has gone too far.

Speaking of shaking Leon, after Blanca's conversation with Raq. last night about Ivan knowing Adriano I just want to shake her silly. Don't think any sense will go in but it would make me feel better.
 

Thought it funny when Domingo flat out pegged her and the reason she doesn't want to tell Ed anything about who she really is. She would have to head back to the poor house but believes if they marry he'll never pitch her in the street. How in the world does she think it won't come out when Raquel wants cash from daddy? She is as bad as Rafa, her sister and Karina.
 

Yes, I thought that was somewhat optimistic of Blanca to tell Domingo "Oh, Eduardo won't be too upset to find out I've been deceiving him...he loves me".
Well, girlie, that's the kind of thing that makes people fall out of love.

Especially I am pleased because of the new characters: Ivan and Salvador. I like them. I can imagine that Salvador might feel love for Blanca later. Oh, and the fiancee costume designer is Casanova from the La Patrona, jajaja. :D

I knew that Ramon will be in the prison. No surprise.

Oh, and in the panic Mariana told Ivan that Blanca betrayed him, and he pressed a gun to Blanca's head in the car. But Blanca isn't afraid. I want you back, Mariana.

What hit the most: Cristobal caught his mother and Rafa in the same bad after sex. It would be an ugly incestuous relationship, if it were true. I love Jonathan Islas's face, when he walks angrily, I knew he knocks out Rafa. He has good facial expressions

Sadly, I think Fernanda is dead. After making the tape for Raq. her usefulness was over. I liked her. Too bad. I hope I am wrong.

Raq. Why do you run into the street showing half your bra. You had time to twitch a shoulder and either all of it is exposed, or all of it isn't. It was very unattractive. What is with you? Forgetting a lie? Have twitched?
 

Raqhell--when they show her in bed with a man--reminds me of a python with its victim. She doesn't seem remotely attractive to me but hey--I'm not a guy. I'm glad Chris found out her little secret. I wonder if they are grooming Chris for a redemption and he ends up with Catalina? I loved the way she stood up for Ramon!!!

So...Thanks to Blanca, Raq knows Ivan is a friend of Adriano...and thanks to Mariana, Ivan knows that Raq knows. Wow I will be needing a beanie-straightener before long.

I can't believe Simona trying to blackmail Rafa to have sex with her...and Rafa refusing.

Does Ed now believe that the woman who stayed at his house was Val? At least that is a step in the right direction!

JnO, yes Ivan did tell them to watch out and not let anything happen to him but guess Ivan had to do some damage control with Raquel since Vicki was a tattletail.

Ed, I think he is coming around but now it is Vicki that is the hard one to sell. I almost felt sorry for him because last week he was trying to imprison Adriano and this week things are pointing toward Leo and Raquel doping Val and keeping her locked away for 20 years. He will ask someone the wrong question and it will get back to Raquel or Vicki will tell.

That girl is hellbent on marrying Ed, sooner the better. For someone that is supposed to be one of the lead players the character falls way short.

Leon-Now you see that your daughter has a total lack of conscience. Too bad you find out the hard way, though you are not totally innocent yourself. Loved Tofie's comment...Raquell wasted no time throwing you from the train!

Domingo-Out of character. you have so much more sense than that. Why have you not visited Adriano? He is being eaten by rats and roaches. I still like you.

Mariana-You love your daughter now? Are you going to tell her you killed someone? Maybe others? I doubt it. You seem to know your way around the guns. Do not see how you can raise a child like Sophia with the morals that you obviously are missing.

Rafa-you are the greediest. I do not like it that the writers are indicating that most poor people will drop all their values to be rich. It is not true. There are a lot of poor people that would rather remain poor that take the paths that you and your neighborhood have taken, with the exception of Ramon and Tita.

Ivan-What is your plan? Would love to know.

Salvador-what is YOUR plan.? Lissette is boring and I don't like the way she always talks with her head bent to the side, like she is trying to keep her hair from falling. You live an adventurous life, is her boring way of talking what you need to wind down? You could do better. Sides she has eyes only for Ed.

Simona-Why are you in this story?
 

Raqhell not throwing Daddy from the train...she's throwing him UNDER the train! But really he deserves it, standing by all these years and letting Raq get away with imprisonment of his other (innocent) daughter. Now, poor Val knows Adriano is in jail for murder, poor soul.

The fuzzy brown rats in the scene with Adriano were out-acting Blanca, in my opinion.

Oh, gawd, the rats did do a better job than Lisette. I cannot figure what she is trying to convey. Desperate poor girl with one long shot, is that it? Is Lisette sedated on the set or just bored outta her mind, somebody get a cattle prod. She has one channel and that one got static.

It has angered me that the way this is written all the poor folk will do anything just to be one of the rich folk and the one that resisted got ran out on a rail. So far being rich no matter how you acquired it, if you even have a brain or how bad a human being, is still what they want to emulate. Blanca has no intention at all of going back to the barrio and Hugo is on his own. She will lie, manipulate, cajole, feign concern, be disloyal or pout just to get her way. She is one nasty human being. Is this what everyone wants to see? I don't mind rags to riches but what happened to hard work and honesty?

 

I can't WAIT for Rafa to get his just desserts. I keep thinking Tita is going to speak up, especially after she chewed him out about framing Ramon. But they keep dragging his dirty tricks to escape the barrio out.

Sorry, the inclusion of Leonidas as a loving father who somehow allows his favorite daughter to be imprisoned and poisoned with ghastly drugs for 20+ years just doesn't work for me. The novela would have been better without him in it. Raquel's obsession in her youth with Adriano and jealousy of her sister gave her a motive and made some sort of sense. Leonidas -- not so much. This guy supposedly built a successful company and he can't even stand up to a daughter?

I hope I never have to see Sebastian Zurita as another male protagonist. He just doesn't have the chops. He's too wimpy and, right about now, he's totally annoying in his determination to keep Adriano in jail. Plus, I think he has zero sex appeal.

Okay "Eduardo" is not bad looking but he is not exhibiting much personality here, sort of bland. Sadly, Ivan doesn't do it for me either--too full of himself. I would rather watch Jorge, Adriano, even Domingo and Salvador (the cop).

I thought at first Ivan was gonna do it for me but he has that Raquel look and attitude at times. There is one profile that is not so flattering and if he were to don Raquels wig they would look eerily twins. I don't like Jorge or his look but that is just a personal preference. Salvador, so, so but at least he doesn't have the scruff look and shaves. Maybe if I saw him in a suit. I just do not take Ed serious and he looks like a pensive college boy, let me see what he looks like in ten years. Rafa, yuck, Ramon, nice guy but sorry no thanks, Domingo, nope.
 

WooHoo! I now have Telemundo and I can record it and watch it.

I've only watched Friday's episode and the only thing I'm a little fuzzy on is Ivan Montenegro. I know he's Marianna's boss, but why was Domingo(?) coming to him and asking him to help with Blancoria? And how did he and Raqhell get together and why?


 

All along Mariana was to get Ivan access to the shipping company. Raquel finally went to Mariana for an introduction because she needed the money and not so sure at the time she would get at Vicki's cash. What we didn't know is that Ivan and Adriano know each other and Ivan owes him a favor, however Ivan is playing both sides. Domingo went to Ivan knowing Adriano and he are friends solely because Vicki has no cash and needs it for her wedding. She was kinda boohooing to Domingo and refusing to tell Ed she is really penniless believing if the wedding happens he will just accept her as is. Ivan told Domingo he will give the cash but he now works for him not for Adriano.
 

Ok. Yeah.... I do remember that Raqhell went to Mariana and wanted to meet Ivan.

Was that Catalina's dad Mariana was ordered to kill?
 

No, it is some diplomat from some South American country and I got confused if she will travel there or the diplomat is coming to Acapulco. Actually Clemente and Raquel are working together to convict both Adriano and Ramon. Raquel has now asked Ivan to have some of his guys in prison to kill Adriano. He said he will when she runs some guns for him.
 

Well, I come back to the blog to find Adriano in his undershorts playing with the ratas and Rafa in his undershorts playing with Simona. If Rafa had an ounce of decency or sense he'd have told Simona no dice, largate from mi cama. Does he really think that if she gets pregnant she's going to be able to hang it on Jorge for very long? He's adamant about not wanting to marry her. He needs to be smart (am I hoping for too much?) and ask for a DNA test. I remember in Mariana de la Noche the galan made the villana wait until her fake baby was born to marry her. Sadly, she came up with a real baby to fool him into marriage.

Glad to see Mariana back. Disappointed that she is going to be an assassin. She was sure loving the feel of that big rifle. And yes, the diplomat is traveling to Mexico. That's why Ivan had her brought back, not so she could hook up with Sofia and Ed again.

Val takes off in her white jammies running down the street. So it WAS some sort of storage warehouse, complete with sleeping attendant. Where is she going to run to. Can't wait to find out. Maybe she'll be lucky and run into Salvador. After all, that's his name. But it'll be her luck to run into Raquel who is out cruising for the evening.

I wonder if Leo is going to be man enough to betray Raq to Eddie. He sure seemed put out enough at her lie to spill the beans, despite how she worded it for the good of all. Probably not. He's too scared of her now.

P.S. In En Nombre del Amor, Caray recappers called SZ, whose name was Emiliano, "E-Moony" because that's how he came across. Not too different from his current look.

Mariana wants to change so she can be a good mother to Sophia. That should really give Sophia nightmares knowing her Mother murders diplomats...or will something stop her before she actually does kill him.
 

Granted I haven't watched in forever, but I think that Mariana doesn't have a hoot about being a good mother.
