Lo Que La Vida Me Robo 137 - Alejandro Reunites With His Mother - 22 May 2014

There were several interwoven themes in tonight's show:

    •    Josefina facilitates the mother and child reunion between Alejandro and Rosario.
    •    The two have a tender meeting. Bring at least two handkerchiefs.
    •    Josefina tells Rosario that Dimitrio will never forgive her for the way she ended their marriage. She does not blame him for being angry with her. She does not mention that she would have a GREAT deal to forgive Dimitrio in order for the two of them to build a new relationship.
    •    Monica dumps Dimitrio because she does not perceive that he is ready for an adult relationship.
    •    Refugio confesses to Dimitrio that there are times that the last place he would like to be is home.
    •    Amalia visits Esmeralda and offer to throw her a baby shower. Esme tells her that the baby will be named "Angel" in honor of Angelica.
    •    Dimitrio confesses to Refu that he wants a wife, a home and a family.
    •    Nadia meets with Adolfo and he swears to protect her and his niece, Victoria.
    •    Nadia receives a antique cart full of flowers and she recognizes it as a signal that Victor is alive and will fight for she and Victoria.
    •    Susana confirms to Nadia that she spoke with Victor and that he is alive.
    •     Susana takes the flowers away in order to not trigger Pedro's suspicions about Victor.
    •    Rosario tells Alejandro that Montserrat, Jose Luis and Laurito will be away on their honeymoon for two weeks.
    •    Alejandro vows to recover his prize possessions—Montserrat and Laurito. He makes his mother swear to tell no one that he is back in Aguazul.
    •    Alejandro needs to clear his name and prove his innocence before he can make a PUBLIC return to Aguazul.
    •    Sadly, Pedro sees the cart of flowers and is tweaked. Victor is a romantic fool.
    •    Pedro calls Adolfo and demands to know the content of his conversation with Nadia.
    •    Pedro orders Adolfo to look for Victor, and, if he finds him, to kill Victor on the spot.
    •    Pedro continues to verbally abuse Nadia and demands that Victoria learn to meet him after a long hard day with a smile on her face.
    •    When Graciela gets mouthy with EZ Basurto and Carlota about the source of EZ's fortune, EZ reminds her that the food on her plate and the bed she sleeps in are there because of his money. If she thinks the money was made in an illicit manner the front door behind her is wide and it is open. She can leave anytime she wants.
    •    We do not see hide nor hair of the newlyweds or Laurito.
Please discuss and enjoy!

Tonight you get a recap on the down low--Bullets only, short and very sweet.

I loved the reunion of Rosario and Alejandro.

But I continue to fail to understand just why Alejandro hates 'that man' Jose Luis, who just spent 7 years in jail, keeping Alejandro's secrets. Seven years in a coma may have passed in a dash and flash for Alejandro in his unconscious state, but Jose Luis was fully conscious of every day he spent in the carcel.

Please enjoy the highlights of the capitulo and discuss or add any main or minor points that I may have missed.

Best to all,

Elna June

Thank you , Elna June. And thank you for pointing out that Josefina was done wrong by Dimi as well!
I really don't like the way Josefina is treated for leaving Dimitrio. She was right! She needed to learn to love herself rather than depend on the love of someone else to feel happy. Her relationship with Dimitrio wasn't healthy. But of course, all of Aguazul seems to be into unhealthy relationships, so it's not surprising they judge her.

I LOVED the dinner scene. He's a liar, but I enjoy how well EZ treats Carlota, and I love that Gracie sees right through him and can't be bothered to fake it. And EZ in turn has no qualms telling her what's what.

I continue to really like Monica. She broke up with him with complete grace and said they could be friends. Someone who does realize that a relationship is between two people and fakes effort! The writers will surely ruin her in the future.

I don't appreciate Refugio telling Dimi that he is still in love with Fina. That is not how I want to see the romance brought back. And right now I believe Dimi that he has hard feelings (and that they could never be friends), but that he isn't in love with her.

I was really happy for Rosario to get her son back and Ale to see his beloved mother again.

Elna June, I am in awe of your ability to tend to us during your move and thanks so much for your recap.

I'm so with you on not understanding why Ale hates JL so much (I can't care about either "galan" and want Montse to take our Vivi's advice and find option #3 for a spouse, not the guy, who raped you).

And that Josefina would have to forgive Dim a great deal to be with him. This whole Dim is so damaged may be true but even he would admit that he made Fina's life miserable. And b/c of her own background Fina was damaged too. Only an abused person would chase after someone who treats him/her as badly as Dim did to Fina.

Refugio continues to be that person who can be more perceptive about someone else than himself. He gave Dim good advice about dealing with Fina and then proceeded to be a jerk about his own marriage.

Pedro's continued reign of terror w/Nadia makes me sad and I want Adolfo to take him out.

It was fun watching EZ give Gracie some of her own medicine.

Were there English closed captions tonight? All three telenovelas had Spanish captions but no English ones. Is it my TV set or Univision's fault? There were English captions yesterday for part of DeQue, all of Lo Que La Vida Me Robo and all of Que Pobres Tan Ricos. But all three tonight had missing English captions. Thank God for Cary, Caray bloggers to fill me in on what the actors were saying!

Thanks, Elna June, I was looking forward to this episode because I've watched it a couple of weeks ago and wanted everyone else to get up to speed so that we can chat about it.

The mother-son reunion was very emotional, but what got me crying was Rosario arriving at the house, seeing Victor, feeling that Ale is alive, too, but being almost too afraid to ask. There was such a mix of hope and desperation on her face, once again the actress delivered in spades.

I was kind of relieved not to see the honeymooners, because I really didn't need to see JL's deceitful bliss. I don't think the writers want us to see Montse look too happy with another man. Already they had her willingly sleep with two guys in the same tn and for a young protagonista that is almost unheard of.

I think Ale hates JL because he has always been jealous of him for being the first in Montse's life. Even when they were allies, they were never friends; they always tried to tolerate one another for Montse and Angelica, but that's as far as it goes.
Besides, it's not like Ale is some paragon of virtue, he's done his share of mistakes, hating his rival doesn't even make me blink.

Elna June, thanks for giving us the vital stuff even in the midst of your move. A very important point--JL was awake and suffering during the seven year interval, while Ale slept through it.

GoBluefan, I had the English captions on my tv.

Wonderful mother/child reunion, with Rosario delivering a range of emotions.

Nadia's quivering response to Pedro's cruelty makes me feel I'm watching a small animal being tortured.

Gracie has such an inflated sense of self-importance. So refreshing to see EZ remind her of the facts of life and the wide open door.

I rather liked Monica not cutting Dimi any slack when he tries to excuse himself from pulling his share of the relationship load. He still has a few bad habits, possibly learned at his mother's knee.

EJ thanks for the quick and accurate recap! Hope your move is going well.

I like Monica, too, she's, well, NORMAL, not something we see much in a TN. Dim is distant, holding back. He did this with Fina even after he knew he loved her until that last day when she was leaving.
Now, in real life if a guy had a mother like Gracie he might treat women very badly. It's a bad sign if you are dating a guy and you find out he loathes his mother!! The wife will be the recipient of much displaced anger unless he works it out in therapy or some other way of healing. I was hoping Monica could help Dim heal.

In the advances it looks like Ale is going to stalk Monse as he said, but it is more like "haunt". i.e., lurk, let her get a sense or glimpse of him and vanish. Wonder how that'll work, since a few people do know he is still alive, and Pedro is certainly going to now be on the alert knowing Victor is around.

GoBlueFan: I had english captions last night; but in the past when this has happened I had to recycle my cable box and re-select the "2nd Language" again.

ElnaJune,
Thanks for the recap. Exactly what we needed. It is greatly appreciated, especially during this busy time for you.

Break out the tissues. The reunion between Ale and Rosario was awesomely emotional. It was happy and sad. I am glad that they had some time to talk and clear up some things. But it was so sad to see Ale crying over his lost time. SR was really good in these scenes.

I thought it was stupid (and romantic) for Vic to send Nadia the flowers. He should have known that Peddy would know they were from Vic. The one good thing is that Pedo ordered Adolfo to kill Vic, and I know Addie won't do it. Just a guess, but I hope Addie tells Pedo that he "took care" of Vic, but in reality will help Vic reunite with Nadia and Vicky, and help them escape from Pedo.

I was glad not to see the newlyweds. I didn't want to hear JL whining for a kiss from Montse. I am wondering if Ale will be able to start to clear his name in the time that Montse and Laurito are away.

THANK YOU EZ! For putting Gracie in her place. I know he's a murderer, but sometimes I really like EZ. But seriously, enough with the scarf around the neck. Isn't it like super hot in Aguazul? The wardrobe department needs to give AA a break.

Need to sleep...hasta pronto!

What I also thought was interesting was Fina suggested they trust Adolfo, and tell him. That might actually be a good thing since he's on board with protecting Nadia now.
Wonder how he'll appease Pedro without killing Victor. ? Another fake killing like with Maria?

EJ...I
love bullet point recaps. When I've got a busy morning, but am dying to know what happened in an episode I failed to see, bullet points are great!

I do hope to see this later. Looking forward to the Alejandro/Rosario reunion, the Monica breakup and the Graciela tell-off.

And relieved there will be no icky honeymoon scenes in that awful Miami hotel. It looked like some giant Barbie Doll house. Appropriate perhaps for our Barbie-doll heroine but José Luis (who seemed to be sporting a 3-day beard for their nuptial night) just looked like a dark, unwanted blot in that scenario.

Most uncomfortable love scene I've ever watched. I'm sure it was staged that way to make us feel the union is all wrong and the eventual Alejandro union is all right, but blech.

Elna June, hope the move goes well and that your new home is a blessing. I remember walking downstairs in our new (to us) home 27 years ago, asking myself WHAT AM I DOING HERE? THIS IS NOT MY HOME! I felt like I had left my real home and all my memories of the children growing up back in the old place. Hopefully, you will not have that same sense of loss. My youngest child still sometimes drives by our old house. She was 7 when we moved and never quite forgave us!

On the other hand, my oldest daughter and my grandchildren seemed to have left their old home with nary a backward glance. They've been living in a rental until the house they're building is completed. Clearly they're not hopeless "sentimentals" like their Nonnie.

Elna June, it's great of you to do this in the middle of something as overwhelming as a move.

I truly wish the writers had done something different with Monse and Alejandro's "wedding night." They were playing a mind game that in the end didn't define their relationship but as marital rape it didn't compare to what happened in The Forsyte Saga (either version) or even to the equivalent scene in Amor Real. I don't hold this against Alejandro anymore because Monse doesn't. However, the name-calling and banishment when she was pregnant is still a TN cliche and I think it's long overdue to be retired.

Great reunion scene between Alejandro and Rosario. It was just as good as the scene where he learned she was his mother.

It is hard to imagine who was worse off with regard to the seven lost years. Both Alejandro and JL lost seven of what should have been the best years of their lives (which makes Alejandro at least 41 years old now) and JL's time in the slammer couldn't have been easy. He did it for Monserrat, so she could be with Alejandro.

Does he know it was Fabiola who ratted them out about burning the money?

Alejandro probably feels he lost seven years for nothing. The money he took out of the safe paid for his hospital stay and what happened? He wakes up thinking Monserrat is dead: His last memory was of hearing Gracie's voice telling him that and blaming him for it. Then Pedro shows up and kidnaps little Victoria and everything does feel like no time ever passed. Victor and Nadia don't even look a day older.

Nobody seems to even wonder who shot Monserrat. Was that even investigated?

I'm with JudyB, EJ, I hope living in your new place turns out to be a fresh new start, and not too traumatic.

Elna June, I wish you the utmost of happiness in your new home. Thank you for taking time that you did not have to gift us with such a lovely recap.

Witty and wise observations as always including: “She does not mention that she would have a GREAT deal to forgive Dimitrio in order for the two of them to build a new relationship” and “Alejandro vows to recover his prize possessions—Montserrat and Laurito”.

Rosario and Ale's reunion made me tear up as well. The actors are a powerful duo.

I also cried at Adolfo's tears for his dear Nadia. May I timidly say I forgive him for everything? I know it's not right but I cannot help myself!

I'm also glad Monica broke up with Dim. It's obvious she wants a deep, intellectual and emotional connection quickly and Dim is unwilling and unable to give her that.

Victor being a romantic fool. How true!

Highlight of the night:” EZ reminds her that the food on her plate and the bed she sleeps in are there because of his money”. How delicious that his words wiped the smirk from Graciela’s face, leaving a grim look of evil malevolence in its place! I also like EZ, continuing my trend of liking the characters that I shouldn't (EZ, Adolfo and JL)...

I worked til after midnight last night and have been here again at work for several hours so am a bit groggy. Wonderful comments.

Thank you again Elna June!

Diana

Elna June, thanks for the excellent recap. You covered it all!

Auntyann, I so agree with you about Victor. How stupid was that with the flowers? Very stupid IMO. When you see how carelessly, stupidly, slowly, without purpose the good guys act, it is no wonder they cannot hold their own in this story.

Another stupid move was Nadia telling Victoria about the flowers and way too much about Victor going to rescue them. Does she really think the child could stand up to Pedro pressure if he were to question her?

Loved Ezequiel telling Graciela how it is at the house. I just wonder if it took seven years to tell her or if this is a repeated event/threat.

Great reunion scene with Rosario.

Great to see Monica break up with Dimitrio.

Jarifa

I agree that EZ putting Graciela in her place was excellent. It's too bad he's the only one who actually has the power to do this because she lives under his and Carlota's roof at their expense. This is likely to be a repeat performance and he's probably wishing he never agreed to letting her live there.

She must have spent all that money by now.

Adolfo might just find his soul again in protecting Nadia and Victoria.

The flower cart was an immensely foolish (and expensive) thing for Victor to do. Josefina could just as easily have visited her to tell her that Victor is alright and there. That would have also been an opportunity for her to realize that telling Victoria her dad was alive would be too risky.

Monica was right to break up with Dimitrio. He still isn't ready for a real relationship and the sad truth is that no woman will want Gracie for a suegra. Monica might be tough enough to put her in her place but she doesn't need the stress.

Oh, Elna June, I've been away from the site recently because of work stuff, but also because we're moving, too! So I understand you all too well. I already felt like I had no time to breath, but with this move (to an apartment, not even a house), I'm in a frenzy of excitement and organizing and micro-managing..Craziness to the 10th degree is what my husband calls it (and when he's around I try to tone it down!)

For some strange reason I kind of like EZ, too, especially when it comes to his treatment of Graceless. But we all know that he's a bad seed, so when the truth about him finally comes out, I'm afraid that Gracie will have the last laugh in front of poor Carlota.

I also agree that Victor's gesture was stupid and careless, but when Nadia was touching the flowers and realizing that he was alive, I shed a tear, the scene had a big emotional impact for me. But still, Victor is soo stooooopid!!!

I like Monica, too, but I don't like her with Dim. I still want him and Josefina to make it work and I'm sure that they will, because, haven't you all heard? The last episode in Mexico will air July 29th, so 2 months from now!!! Adding the 2 weeks difference between Mexico and the US, we'll have Robo drama until mid august, so about 50 more episodes???!!!!

No one has mentioned that at the very end of the Mother and Child Reunion, the question of Montse & JL's quickie, moved-up wedding was that she was pregnant? Good for Rosario for flat out (well almost) denying that it could be so.

But, her telling Ale that she and Montse cried over him every night for years is only going to embolden him. Maybe the "haunting" strategy will work. More power to him. I'd like to see the Monse-JL thing over before it really begins.
An Old Commenter Stepping Up.

Alejandro's idea is far too risky. No doubt Pedro will eventually find out he's alive. Rosario had to tell him that Monse cried for years because someone had to counter Graciela's poison.

Carlota will have the last laugh over Graciela in the finale. Either EZ will turn out to be an undercover federale (unlikely) or will fall at some point and Carlota will end up with the Admiral.

EJ- Thanks so much for doing this recap in the middle of your move. Best of luck!

Is there a reason why Ale has to "haunt" Monse and can't just come straight out and say he's alive, and let her then do what she needs to do to straighten out her love life, marital situation, and to prepare her son for some major changes? Why play mind games with her like she's being punished for something. She did nothing wrong.

And thanks for pointing out that Fina did nothing wrong either. Dim has nothing to forgive her for. Her needing to go heal herself and leave a bad relationship was in large part a result of how he started and then conducted his relationship with her, until the very end of it. I'm glad Monica had the sense to walk away before she got too deep into a dysfunctional relationship.

Clarifying- I'm not saying Ale should reveal himself to everyone. He is a wanted man, after all. I mean specifically to Monse. She has a right to know the whole truth.

I don't think this was planned. I think he intends to clear his name first, but doesn't know how.

Without a good -- and honest -- private eye I don't see how that's possible. Juventino is dead. The only clue Alejandro has is that Juventino was blackmailing Graceless over her past with Benjamin. He could take a leap into the possibility that the blackmail was about something else, but that's not something that would stand up in a court of law.

I agree that Monse should know. The longer it takes the more likely it becomes that she gets knocked up which leads me to a new speculation: Since the playing field has see-sawed to reverse the fortunes of JL and Alejandro is it possible that JL will knock Monse up and end up dying in the last few episodes so that Alejandro will end up becoming the defacto father of his child?

Thanks, Elna June, for providing this recap in the midst of a busy time. I hope that you are settled in your new nest soon. I was thinking about all your books, and I remembered that our local AAUW has a huge book sale every year to raise money for scholarships. I wonder if this might be a possible solution to your book problem.

Thanks so much, Elna June, for this crisp and smart summary.

You know, I have this image of you and Mr. June as the charming and charismatic Nick and Nora Charles. (Instead of Asta, you have Manu.) Cheers, my dear!

Dearest Elna June,

Thanks so much for the recap with thoughtful and insightful bullet points. I am so impressed that you could do this in the midst of your move. You are amazing!

Adriana Noel: Your affection for EZ isn't strange at all--I really like him, too!

Diana: And, like you, I LOVE Adolfo and really hope he has a huge redemption, though maybe it's too much to ask. I also like EZ and J-L, so you are not alone in your feelings for these characters, either. They are complex, but they have many admirable qualities, too.

No spoiler, just speculation, but my hope is that Montse does get pregnant by J-L and that Alejandro has to be generous and raise the child as his own when he and Montse inevitably get back together. I figure that J-L will have to die in the end since this always seems to happens to Galán B. And I think a child living on to carry his name is the least that J-L deserves for doing so much for Montse, Ale, Laurito and everyone in this TN. Also Alejandro really needs to have to do something like this to demonstrate personal growth.

If I were writing this TN, I would make sure something like this happened, but we'll see.

Happy Memorial Day weekend to you all and thanks again, Elna June. All the best as you settle into your new home!
Julia R.

Elna June thank you for a perfect recap. I just moved across the country a year and a half ago and I certainly can imagine the upheaval you are experiencing. Keeping up with your recapping is extraordinary! I wish you a speedy new settlement!

To all who are liking Adolfo I am with you. I continue to think that he is on his way to redemption. He was a reluctant bad guy-- and one we needed to go bad if he was to grow the avocados he'll need to take down Peddy. Although why someone hasn't taken him out already I cannot figure out.

I understand all who are down on Ale right now, but I find the JL/Montse thing really icky. Every scene you feel that she loves him.... like a brother. Their wedding night looked to me like she was sleeping with her brother! It's equally icky to me that JL KNOWS that she doesn't have the right feelings for him but is going to have her anyway.
Montse is going to lose it when she finds out that JL knew from Laurito that Ale was alive.

On the Fina/Dim front, I like Monica, but was surprised that after sitting in the uncomfortable position of watching Gracie do her number on Fina, she didn't say to Dim "I TOTALLY get it! Your mother IS bsc!!! Let's not ever have anything more to do with her." I bet she would have gotten much further with him that way.

I heard shades of AB in the "I'm going to make her my lover just so I can shatter my enemy" in Ale's plans. Still, I'm ready for them to reunite. Not proud of it, but that's what I feel.

Have a great day!

Elna June:

Thank you so much for this marvelous bulleted recap. This recap tells it all and then some! Good wishes for you and Mr. June in your moving process and to you too Adriana Noel.

Diana:

I am on the same page you are with Addled, JL and EZ. I can't help it either. There is just something about EZ not being totally evil, same with Addled. I loved Addled with Nadia and Vicky. He really is all about family. JL, I too, feel badly for.

EJ:

I don't get why Ale hates JL either, and your are so right about JL being awake for every day he spent in the prison. Ale still needs to deal with the lost time issue. I think even if JL had not gone to the prison, Monse wouldn't have jumped into a relationship with JL right away. It would have taken some time.

I am glad that Ale wants to work on proving his innocence, good first thought from him. I don't like him "haunting" Monse either. I agree with Vivi, just tell her the truth already. I don't even want to speculate on what will happen when she learns the truth.

Dimi still has some growing up to do. It's great that he is in the Navy now, but Monica was right about him. He can't commit and needs to do some more personal work on himself before he can.

I really liked Amelia last night. She has sort of adopted Esme. I didn't like Amelia in the beginning of this TN but am now cheering her.

Vic was very stupid. I too don't think that Addled will be killing Vic. I think he will help them to get away from Peddy.

I too find it funny that the side kicks, Vic and Refoolio can be such good givers of advice to others but are so stoopid with themselves.

Thanks again EJ!

I really hope Rosario talks Ale out of this plans for Monse-- which I'm still not sure what his plan is. Plan 1 seems to be to try to seduce her on the downlow (without JL knowing), and get her to sleep with him while she's still married to JL. Rebecca- This isn't quite like Amor Bravio because Dan intended to seduce Camila when he thought SHE was his enemy. Ale knows Monse isn't his enemy, so why is he acting like he wants to get back at her? Plan 2 seems to be to play mind game with her and not reveal he's alive, while revealing enough of his presence to drive her a bit bonkers- gaslighting her. So which is it? What's his plan for Monse, or has he not really gotten that far?

Elna June – You are wonderful to bring us a recap while you’re unpacking in your new home. Thanks a bunch. I hope you can take it easy soon.

EZ telling off Graciela was divine, but of course she’s right about EZ’s stealing.

Even though I knew the mother-child reunion was coming, I didn't expect it to hit me with such emotion. Kudos to both actors.

So Ale is going to wait until Monse returns in two weeks? Sorry, but he needs to rush to his wife and child right away. And, at this point, Monse should be secondary. Seems Ale would want to connect with Laurito asap. Guess I'll blame the TN’s extension for this.

I'm not convinced JL and Monse consummated the marriage. Just as I don't believe the Padre is dead. In my book, if they don't show it, it didn't happen. Also, I had a chuckle in their love scene the other day when Monse was surprised that JL too hadn’t been with anyone in seven years. Monse, JL was in prison and headed straight to you as soon as he got released, so are you saying you thought JL found a playmate in prison?

Diana - Hope you can get some rest soon!

Nicely done, Elna June. Thanks for taking the precious time to provide us with this comprehensive distillation of last evening's events. I hope that you two are comfortably settling into your cozy new digs.

Again I admit to shedding a few tears with that heart-tugging reunion. A minor disappointment for me was that I was expecting that Alejandro would flash that zillion dollar smile of his before unleashing that flood of tears. Nevertheless it was a very powerful affecting scene.

Didn't Fina do a wonderful job in setting that up and didn't she seem quietly pleased with the result?

Rebecca,

"I like Monica, but was surprised that after sitting in the uncomfortable position of watching Gracie do her number on Fina, she didn't say to Dim "I TOTALLY get it! Your mother IS bsc!!!"

Me too.

Those flowers... this is not the first time that Victor's total lack of good judgment has put him and others at risk... very romantic but very stupid as well as very dangerous.

Like it or not gang, Alejandro is going to really need María and that will. Isn't it about time for us to see how that rehab is going?

Carlos

Neice in MD:

I think Monse was referring to JL maybe hooking up with someone after he left the prison. He had time to hook up with someone before he reconnected with Monse. I think that's what she meant. Like a one night stand so to speak or a hooker maybe.

Vivi:

You are so spot on about Ale's motivation. I don't like it not one bit. It's still all about conquering with him.

Diana:

I too hope you get some rest soon are able to chillax, put your feet up and have some soothing tea : )

@Vivi, plan #1 because it's a novela. He will be the "other guy" and when JL finds out and he will, Monse's back in jail. I hope the marriage was not consummated because I want Monse to reserve herself for my flawed but gorgeous Ale :) Disclaimer: I do not like JL not one bit team Ale, warts and all.
Romy

Good Morning All:

Thank you so much for all of your well wishes. When Mr. June sent out the announcement of the great downsizing giveaway to his bicycle club, this was the quote he sent:

"Know that 'tis our fast intent to shake all cares and business from our age, Conferring them on younger strengths while we Unburdened crawl toward death." -King Lear

I told Mr. June that my friends on Caray Caray would get the quote. I wasn't so sure about the members of the bicycle club...

Oops, must run. The first movers are here to remove the 300 pound stone Buddha and equally heavy granite bench to their new home. The regular movers don't come until Wednesday, but we wanted special care taken with these meaningful pieces that have followed us around the world.

I wonder, dear Mads, what the Navy would have said about moving these large objects...

Adriana Noel: Are you moving from a house to an apartment too? Such a change isn't it?

Much love and thank you to all, again, for your well-wishing.

Elna June

Doesn't Victor realize he just put a bullseye on his back and will turn up the abuse level several notches for Nadia and Victoria by pulling that stupid stunt?

And that Tundra...One day it's on the street with that beautiful cathedral in the background and last night it's parked illegally on some sort of bike or pedestrian path down at the malecon.

Who is driving it? Who has paid for the license and registration fees for the past 7 years?

Does Alejandro still have the keys to it?

I loved Ezequel this night! Him putting Shameless in her place was most satisfying. He is much more better to watch then twisted Pedro who we all already know what he is capable of.He is also much more mysterious. And nothing is better then villians fighting against eachother! The villians make this show!

And im looking forward to La Malquerida because Alberto Estrella ,Guillermo Garcia Cantu( My name comes from his role in La Madrastra,Demetrio) and the peach faced Sabine Mousierr star in it as the villians.

Not much time at home today, but had to check in for the recap. Perfect EJ! And again, thanks for continuing to offer up your great insights while going through such a busy time. Wish you much happiness and boatloads of wonderful new memories in your new home.

My favorite moment of the night was the fade out from the Dim/Refugio stair discussion. Was that not a perfect shot of two sorry-looking men? Both need a bit of a kick in the pants, and at least Monica walked away with dignity and grace after she so gently laid a good boot to Dim. I think he's known all along they wouldn't "work". He's much like his sister in that way, but he tried to settle. Thankfully, he was hesitant, and maybe damaged enough, to not jump into marriage unlike his sis.

Speaking of whom, thank you writers for giving us a rest from the honeymooners. But we didn't need another aria by Ale on how much he hates JL.

The reunion was sweet as we knew it would be and I liked how Fina pulled it together. But Victor, no matter how "romantic" he though the flowers would be, was ridiculously stupid. Hello, Pedro lives there! A controlling, jealous, evil man and you're giving him ammunition to get angry at his hostages. Where's that boot...someone else needs a good boot.

The enigma that is EZ. Hate those scarves, love his reaction to Graceless and still think he'll be a dead man, whether he turns out to be undercover or not. His ultimate ending may prove to be the most interesting of anyone's.

Have some vacation days and heading out again to do some antique shopping.

Elna June,

Thanks for your dedication to TN Duty despite this hectic time in your life.

Best of luck. It sounds exciting.
New Frontiers!

Julia R, I like what you said
about Ale raising JL's child.
That would finally bring some maturity to this novela and let the memory of JL's good deeds live on.

Judy B, Your children are about the same age as mine. They are now doing all the things we did with our children not so many years ago. Each day just flies by for me.

No need for Victor to make that so obviously foolish move. The maid had the important info to share with Nadia.

I have a suggestion for Adolpho.
Find a substantial, square shaped cardboard box. Insert into it a body part of a potential new Hit
and pass it off as Victor's.
That should take care of Pedro for now.

Oxnard Huero,

In last night's avances I spotted Montse either getting into or out of that Tundra. I would have been very disturbed to see JL using it... just wouldn't seem right.

Daisnjay,

Yes, that scene was excellent - a dose of humor and reality.

EJ:

Alas, the Navy movers go by poundage, you can only have so many pounds and the movers can tell, just by looking at your stuff, approximately how much you would be over or under. We had to get rid of some stuff before they came and packed us out. Yes, we didn't pack up, they did!

I simply love this blog..... And the background designs are amazing
