That's a good one by NovelaMaven--it's the little novella that couldn't.....we can finish the sentence with all kinds of endings.

...that couldn't decide what it was, a Bodice-Rippin' Romance, Law & Order, Prison Babes, Child Abuse, Gun/Narco Trafficking, Barrio Sluts, Mystery Theater.

Sorry, but that prison abuse hanging Blanca upside down was too much for my normally callous observational powers. Still, she came out of it with only a little blood trickling down her chin. Go Oriana!

Blanca did a wonderful job struggling against the manicomio attendants. She was more animated than she has been in a long time.

Adriano who?
 

Adriano is now safe. Raq wants him to live to see how he ruined Val and Blanca's lives. Also Cat and Ramon are holding the papers over her head making him the only character who can rest easy.

No takers on the Val as roommate bet. I'm looking forward to the two of the joining forces and destroying Raq.

OK the look on Chris' face when Mariana stabbed that guy was hilarious. I'm thinking he might be reconsidering thinking she is his true love — gun running, lying and attempted murder hmmm. Then again he is an Altamira so it might be a turn on.

Sofia is ill and needs medicine but does Chris tell Mariana - NO and I'm willing to bet the subject never comes up again.

Oh Jorge STFU and stay out of the barrio. After all your tantrum and holier than thou attitude no one wants you around.

Looks like smart Blanca from the beginning may be coming around.Now that she is out of the influence of Raq and the big house.

Sal really is pulling Raq's chain and putting himself in danger but there has to be one character who can get though to Ed and it seems to be him.

It's interesting to see the little screw up and breakdowns are beginning to show up and start Ivan and Raq downfall. I rather like it happening in little doses with about 40 episodes to go instead of in one big gush two hours before the end.

Up to this point Ed has been an atypical galan, not drowning in tequila when the truth about Victoria came out and not overly moping. Now it looks like he is listening to Sal and may be the one who realizes what his mother is.

He did show a flash of galan stupidity when he talked about maybe getting together with Mariana for Sofia's sake. Jorge knows that Chris is in love with her so why didn't he tell his brother. The Altamira boys really need to sit down over said bottle of tequila and share notes. Each one of them has information or suspicions but they never compare notes.

As for the little novela that couldn't I adding fail to entertain as the end. I can hardly wait to see what happens next and i can't always say that about a TN.
 

Somehow, i'm still not feeling sympathetic towards Blanca. The writers just made me dislike her too much in recent weeks. However, I'm very interested in how Mariana's story plays out, and I'm not going to lie, I hope she and Cristobal end up together. That scene with Ivan could have been better, more ass kicking was needed.

Cat has some balls on her right now, in regards to daddy dearest. Ramon seems to be the one who is going to let this relationship go by the wayside if Clemente gets into his head. You know Salvador really is looking better and better. He didn't think twice about throwing down with Eduardo, and calling his mom a perverse woman.

The other day, when Ivan told Rafael, "I don't trust anybody, not even my own mother", I let out a ,"Daaaaaamn, homeboy. No wonder! That's who messed you up in the first place, she needed to hug you more while raising your punk ass."

Where the hell is Fernanda? Did I miss something there? Did they kill her after she was forced to make that tape pointing the finger at Adriano?

Also, why does Salvador get to wear a white lab coat when he was visiting his friend in the nurses' office at the prison... or the psychiatric he was most likely banging at one point. I can't tell why he had so much clout in that place after he was stripped of his badge.

Jorge is just using any excuse to go see Karina. I suppose the one good thing about Karina in the next couple of episodes, is that she's a big mouth. Once Eduardo starts talking to her, and hopefully Domingo, he's going to start putting the pieces together about his mom. With a lot of help from Salvador, of course, because Eddie can sure be as bright as a bag of rocks.


 

I don't foresee a happy ending for Mariana and Chris. They've shown her committing two cold blooded assassinations for Iván, and telenovela justice can't let that slide. I predict she'll die in one of three ways: 1. Protecting Eduardo 2. Protecting Sofía, or 3. Killing Iván and getting killed by his bodyguards.
 

Fernanda is dead no question about it. She was forced to make the tape and then dispatched. Her reappearing would serve no useful purpose at this point.

I don't think Ed is dumb but who in their right mind would believe all the stuff he is hearing about his mother. He questions her and he keeps digging at her about Valentina which neither of the others do. The one who is dumb as a bag of rocks is Jorge. He puts the skank down and says he wants nothing to do with her but keeps running back to the barrio. I'm glad she cut him off like she did the other night.

Mariana cannot survive. She is a multi murderess who even killed someone while talking to a little girl on the phone. She has lied to Sofia so often and let the child think she is some kind of super heroine so I can see her trying to protect the child when she get especially since Ivan threatened her last night. That way the little girl will once again have a picture of her mommy in heaven and not have to face the truth about what a lying murdering psycho she is. I just hope that the rest of the Altamiras learn the truth about her.
 

I couldn't help thinking as Chris stood watching Mariana plunge the knife into the thug's back over and over, it was like he was watching the death throes of his love for Mariana. The thug was talking normally after being stabbed in the spine multiple times. Wow.

Only reason I thought Fernanda might make a reappearance is because she was an attorney who might bail Adriano out of his legal woes. She died off-screen, like so many others, so it leaves a hanging thread. Hate those!

I didn't want them to break up the fight and for Salvador to wipe the floor with baby boy Ed.

I also like Blanca much better sedated.

Clemente hit bone but right and Ramon hasn't a prayer with Catalina.
 

Very disturbing in the manicomio! If Blanca's plan was to get in there and just be able to snoop around, like she did in the casa altamira...plan not very well thought out. Too bad, 'cause now she's stuck there.

Much as I complain, I can't quit watching this crazy show.

I don't think her plan was to get to the nuthouse to snoop. She was warned that Raquel had given orders for Oriana to kill her that very night. She had heard about (or saw herself, can't remember) a prisoner who was taken out to a nuthouse. It was a desperate plan to pretend to be crazy to save her life, and it worked. I hope she doesn't stay drugged for too many episodes. I'm ready for her to start fighting back.
 

Wow another stellar performance playing semi lucid by Lisette. I hope Val stays away from Blanca or the little rat doesn't crawl back into Val's room.

I know Cat is all playful now pretend homemaker but it will get old having no money and though a marriage proposal is on the table she may go the way Karina and head back to the Altamira boy.

Ramon - don't get your hopes up

Mariana - scared makes you stupid

Ed - one liar for another

Salvador - all three of the boys don't add up to one of you

Jorge - lazy ass

Karina - what does it say about all the rest of them when the skank has better maternal instinct

Another night of just inching along. Cris is getting nowhere fast with Raquel regarding Mariana; Ed is still getting the run-around from Raquel regarding Blanca; Jorge is just lazy and can't get ready for work; Cat and Ramon get busy preparing for their big fall--ok, she can cook, bless her; Raquel and Ivan are still dancing around the May-be, maybe not Pole; Mariana offers to bring down Ivan with Raquel's help (yawn); Ooops--La carta, la carta--Ed is finally making a connection all by himself.

So Blanca has a friend in the manicomio who always tells the truth. How was it she knew all about Blanca from Val, who is so drugged she's a virtual cabbage?

If Blanca is a condemned assassin, how is it they let her wander through the halls unmolested? Is NO ONE around to monitor? Maybe they have cameras, but no one came running.

Like the rest of us, can't wait until tonight's episode. This telenovela should have been on Comedy Central.
 

Wow, Tofie--we got the same vibes from our beloved characters! Great script writers, no?
 

Anita, I've begun to enjoy it more or maybe now I don't run down rabbit holes every-time they throw something out there. Adriano on deaths door, Socorro murdered, Ivan setting up Rafa & Mariana to wack them in Guatemala, Clemente knowing his daughter's fantasy will fade and Sofia on one hand in awe of her mother but on the other knows something amiss when she ask her to "not tell". And to beat all Karina is right there taking care of Hugo (and giving Jorge the stiff arm) when the wanna be momma is sedated in the looney bin, grandma non pulsed after a little affection from Ivan and Mariana begging for Ivan to kill her, but leave her daughter alone, does not erase the fact she put her in harms way to begin with.

 

Tofie--re Mariana putting Sofia in harm's way in the first place...Ivan threatened her with harm to Sofia if she DIDN'T take her on their little ride-along. He blames Mariana for screwing it up and switching drivers to Cris.

Raq didn't look all that upset at the prospect of losing Cris and I'm surprised she had any reaction to Sofia's possible demise--she doesn't love her any more than she loved Sofia's little dog!

 

yeah, but what does she expect it's Ivan and she told Rachel this is the first lie from Ivan but she knows he lies frequently. Ivan, when asked about what would happen to Sofia, said that she would be unharmed and his guys would bring her back. That was assuming everything went as planned and it didn't. Can't imagine what would have happened if they had been caught with the guns or what emotional damage done to Sofia had Mariana and Rafa (or Chris) disappeared or the girl could have been caught in the crossfire.

Don't get me wrong, Mariana is my favorite character and like her struggling with doing the right thing now but knowing she'll be called on to do bad things.

 

Anita I actually thought this was a fast paced final chapters kind of episode.

Ed learns that Blanca didn't write the letter. I'm wondering if Raq has the original or if it is still in his room some place.

Very important was Chris finding an anomaly in the blood types. Apparently on Sofia's report there must be a mention of Ed's blood type which he couldn't have had if his parents were the Altamira's.

Chris looks like he has definitely been turned off by Mariana and told his mother to keep her away from Es. Ed is walking perilously close to the stupid galan line by hinting at getting back together with her for Sofia's sake.

Raq finds out that Mariana was in town to set up the meet with Ivan and so now the witch is suspicious of his motives.

Raq was a fool to confront a mafioso like she did in front of his men. I am more convinced than ever that ivan is stringing her along and she won't live to the end.

Raq was somewhat angry about Chris being in harms way and I find it odd that she really has so little affection for Sofia considering that the child is probably Adriano's' grandchild.

Did I get it right that Raq and Mariana were joining forces to go up against Ivan? If they are they are both stupid.

Mariana continues her mother of the year attempts by encouraging Sofia to lie oh wait it is lying it is just keeping secrets.

I agree that Blanca just wanted out the prison and had no way of knowing that Raq also seems to have a big say about things in the manicomio. Val isn't as out of it as Raq thinks.

Can't wait to see what happens next.

Supposedly this novela is 120 episodes. Last night was number 84 which would mean this would end the first week of July.

There is no indication of what is going to replace it yet. I for one will miss it since i love the fast pace, let's not regurgitate what we already know pace. Of course there are a boat load of things left hanging but i don't care at this point.
 

Wow, a truly painful episode. The whole manicomio thing is bringing me down...waaaay down. The first time they tied Blanca down to the bed, her friend just untied her apparently, because they go for a stroll down to Val's room.

By the way, if the naviera is going broke, why does Raq still wield so much power in Acapulco? Seems like most folks' loyalty would start to crumble once rumors of her financial troubles got around. Guess she "knows where all the bodies are buried".

Electric shock in this day and age I don't think so. So is Blanca under the influence of the drugs or is Sal there to find way to get her out of that hell?

I detest Raq and Mariana but Simona is fast joining them in the vile stakes. She pays no attention to the papers and just wants money to sign them. Unfortunately because she is the little sis she won't be punished for all her betrayals and will be all happy when Banca lands her rich guy.

I'm wondering if Sofia will tell Hugo of her adventures and he will pass on the word?

Every time I get ready to cut Chris some slack he acts like a jerk. Why not just tell Ed what Mariana is instead of pussy footing around telling him not to go back to her on the rebound.

Ed has crossed into idiot galan territory by believing Raq yet again. In some ways I like that these boys are such fools they buy the koolaid she is always selling because when the truth comes out the shock will be so much greater and I'll enjoy it more.
 

What the heck just happened? Did I hear wrong, or did Cristobal say that Sofia isn't Eduardo's kid? Does she belong to Ivan?

And again, why is it that Salvador keeps running around in a white coat etc etc. I thought he was an ex-detective? Not a doctor. Wouldn't the employees at the insane asylum know that he doesn't work there on the regular?


 

What an episode. I too am wondering if it really is Salvador come to rescue her or if it is the drugs playing tricks. How would Sal. know how to place the probes and then he has to hope Blanca reacts correctly. Weird. How did he know to come...Hugo's phone call? Weird again. Truly a horrible place. Probably illegal too.

I think Chris thinks Sophia is not Marianas because the test results came back and Chris never thought it could be Eduardo that is the issue on the blood test. They are brothers after all. If Ed is Vals and Adriano's his blood would be different than the other Altamiras, so then Sophia's would also be different. We saw the beginning when Sophia was born and Mariana didn't even want to look at her.

My question is why did not Ivan just kill Raphael rather than send him to Guatamala. He killed Ritchie without hesitation.Now Raphael is walking around getting involved in havoc as usual.

I do not like Lieseette's acting. I do like her character. She has courage and has proven that. She just got misguided after seeing the tape of Adriano visiting Memo and then he dies. She was no match for Raquel and Raquel did her thing.

Raquel has a strange habit of visiting her victims and then making long speeches to them at a point that they either don't know she is there or can't do anything about her being there. Always in fancy clothes that no one would wear every day.

This is one TN I doubt I forget for a long time.

And what was that with Ramone going to Jorge and asking for advice. Really?

Mariana is good at what she does. That is what Ivan said and why he didn't kill her. When a person is good at what they do it is because they enjoy it. No sympathy for Mariana.
 

I'm still not feeling a drop of sympathy for Blanca. None at all! I've already said that I have moved over to team Mariana, even if she does kick the bucket.

I'm still wondering if Ivan really is the dad, and she let Eduardo raise the kid because it was the best thing in the end. Why tell Ivan, after broke her heart, and would do more damage to her if he knew she was pregnant with his child? Mariana didn't need him to be the baby daddy. She instead let Eddie think he was the dad.

That scene with Eduardo and Blanca in the insane asylum was pointless, and boring.


 

First of all, Simona is still in high school as they said at the beginning. A minor wouldn't be allowed to sign legal papers commiting a family member. (Except in TN-land).

When Salvatore came into the little room and started fiddling with the electroshock probes, he didn't show any sign of recognizing or sympathizing with Blanca. Maybe in case anyone is watching from outside? I hope it's Salvatore and not some evil twin.

I thought Ivan said "there was no contrabando...he sent Mariana and Rafa on that trip to be gotten rid of". Seemed clear to me he meant to do away with them both. But told Raq that his men had orders to bring Sofia back unharmed.)

I'm still not buying the Ivan-Raq chemistry. Seems forced and stilted. The actor playing Ivan seems wooden and shows little subtlety, maybe that's why.

Hmmm, How many times does Ed have to see Blanca for closure? Why can't Chris just come out with it? How is it the Dr. wants to go by the book on frying a brain but want to rape and deny water to a patient? How can Salvador be omnipresent? How can Karina stand in front of Ramon as he gushes about a marriage proposal to Cat? Or, Jorge the lazy, the go to guy for love between the classes? And on who's authority does Raquel suggest and deliver for signature medical release forms? And why oh why can't anyone just blurt out pertinent information when they first see someone instead of mumbling crap and running out of time?

Doctor - trust me you don't want to go there

Blanca - shedding a bucket of tears will make you thirsty

Cat - doubt you'll marry Ramon but fun rubbing it in dads face

Hugo - you did good but get ready for a life time of begging

Sofia - you'll see Hugo's omission was miniscule in comparison

Rafa - why would anyone say anything in front of you

Somina - well a girl gotta do what a girl gotta do

Chris - try this, Hey Ed Mariana works for the mafia and saw her stab a man in the kidneys

 

We aren't supposed to talk about the advances but since the door has been opened i'll simply say no way is Ed not Sofia's father. If this were a 200 epi novela yeah they'd go there but this is only 120. Chris recognized that Sofia has a blood type she couldn't have it she had Ed's DNA. Unfortunately for Chris he doesn't know what many of us believe and that is that Ed is Adriano's son. Knowing that Mariana is a lying, murderess with slut tendencies he made a logical conclusion.There is also no evidence that Mariana even knew Ivan when she deserted Ed and Sofia.

Simona may be in school but she made a big deal about being 18 which might be the legal age to have your big sister's brain fried. She is and from the beginning has been a thoroughly unappealing character, selfish and money hungry with little caring for anyone else.

The wardrobe department blew it again with that ghastly way too short doily they had Mariana wearing.

OH boo hoo Rafa is now all ticked off about the ricos and how they treat the barrio folk. He seems to forget how fast he went to the dark side when he though he was going to living in the lap of luxury. It is time for Ivan to get rid of him.

These idiot Altamira boys REALLY need to sit down and spill everything. The longer they wait the more shocking the reveals will be and to be honest I can't wait. Ed the galan has had very little suffering or anything to ruffle his life so I'm looking forward to see how he copes with the anvil hurtling toward him,

I disagree that the scene between Ed and Blanca was a waste of time. Ed gets his closure but he also sees that she is trussed up like an animal. When the truth comes out he will no doubt feel horrific guilt that he let someone he claimed to love be treated so badly. Had he not gone to see her he could easily have thought she was just in some nice manicomio where the patients wandered around in the sunshine, not one where they are drugged and treated to electric shock.


 

Been thinking, Ed is not going to get any shocking reveal about Blanca except that the letter she wrote him was hijacked. All the other betrayals are founded in truth: she was hired by Adriano to impersonate a wealthy investor, she did lie to everyone, she misled Ed even after he proposed to her. Those are all things that don't change, even with her last minute carta to get her conscience off the hook.

Her original motives were good. She wanted justice for Memo and to help Adriano find his child. She wasn't in it for the money. She got side tracked when she fell in love with Ed. Except for her persona as rich, the girl she was as Victoria was the real, caring Blanca.

The reveals that will surely almost kill Ed are about the psycho Marian and his unspeakable "mother". Actually Blanca's behavior will pale in comparison to whta the Altamira boys will learn about their mother.

Just checked my on line guide and LI has a time change tonight due to futball. In my case - AZ - that means a 9:00 showing which means probably 10 for most of the rest of you. Why do they aways do things like this just as it gets interesting.

What??? Christobal still loves Mariana even though he now knows the truth about her? Chris, what is wrong with you. Sophia is the daughter of another man? With Mariana you never know what is the truth and what is a lie...so...we still aren't sure, but pretty sure. Now Raq wants Ivan to kill Mariana. Sheeee.

Jorge is going to help Ramon find his cousin. The relationships just get better.

Is every one taking a turn at being an impostor? Now Salvator is an experienced brain fryer? They should have called this TN The Imposters! I have to say I am glad he rescued her whatever role he played. I do not like the roller coaster ride on this novel, but then, I love the novella. Maybe it is a love hate relationship. I still like Blanca.

Simona...no I don't like you, almost as much as Ivan and Raquel. At least they know what they are.

Here on the East Coast TN was at usual time but no future scenes of tomorrows episode. Instead an ad for some ap from telemundo for your iPad. Then right into the game. I kind of like the glimpses into tomorrows episode.

How is Salvatore getting into the hospital with no credentials? I'm just relieved to see Blanca getting help, much as I don't like her.

And so now Adriano has asked Ramon to find his hijo? Is that why Ramon was asking Jorge for help?

Honestly, if each brother would tell the other brothers what he knew, they would all know everything!

I don't think Chris is still in love with Mariana anymore than I think Ivan is in love with Raq. Chris knows what Mariana is and wants to keep her away from Ed since his brother has already been hurt by Blanca and by M in the past.

I think Mariana is lying about Sofia. She is astute and thinks fast on her feet. She is aware of the Adriano story and may think she now has something to hold over Raq. On the other hand she may just be lying because she can't come up with a good story. Only time will tell.

I am concerned about Sal wandering around in the manicomio if Raq decided to make one of her taunting visits and I'm sure she wants to check to see how the electric shock went.

Simona is as bad a sister as Raq herself. She's going to get her Double D's but is going to have to learn that even with big jugs her lack of personality, morals, brains and class are going to keep her from ever sinking her claws in a rich man.

Hmm only about 35 episodes to go and the galan finally falls into stupidville. I'll go back to Mariana as the mother of my child. Idiot. For once i agree with Raq that he needs to stay way from the woman and remember what she did in the past. I also found it very interesting when Sofia said she preferred Chris with her mother since he loved her and she knows Ed loves another. Out of the mouths of babes.

Laughed while Ivan is trying to romance Raq and all she is doing is yammering on about how Mariana betrayed him and she needs to be gotten rid of.

The blood stuff is certainly getting complicated for us. Apparently not for Cris. Of course, he hasn't pondered on the possibility that he and Ed are only half-brothers. Still, Ed should get a blood test at this point.

TN law is operative here. Cris is able to get test results on someone else besides himself, without authorization from said subject--and he's definitively not a CSI.

I hadn't thought about Cris' romancing Mariana after all he learned about her to be a ruse to keep her away from Ed. That didn't get him very far--she turned him down pretty conclusively.

Ay, Simona. There is no hope for you. You will still end up as a waitress in Tita's open air restaurant. You will probably get bigger tips from the boys working at the naviera, just for leaning over when you serve them. I just can't see Blanca forgiving her. But then, this tn is full of surprises.

Hugito, bless his heart, needs to go to acting school after this is over. He has galan potential with those big puppy-dog eyes. I wish him well.

If this is a 120 episode novela so it should end during the first week of July since last night was epi 86.

Sal is getting into the hospital curtesy of his "friend" the doctor at the prison. If Raq ever sees him it will be curtains for him for sure. I'm trying to think how many episodes we had with Blanca in prison — not too many if I recall and I'm just hoping that by the end of this week we'll see the end of the manicomio scenes. They are brutal and very depressing whether you think Blanca deserves it or not and Val most certainly doesn't.

Hey it's a TN and medical and legal rules don't apply. Obviously Mexico doesn't have any HIPPA protection. I've enjoyed this novela because we get to fill in missing pieces ourselves but even I had a problem figuring out why Mariana put on her bouncy mommy face and visited the doc. I guess Chris had her take a blood test. In the long run it won't matter so I'm just ignoring it.

It's about time that some of the anvils begin hitting the despicable gang of six. They have gotten away with so much stuff while the innocent have had horrible things piled on them endlessly and clueless go bopping through life hardly ever wondering what's going on.I
 

Mariana went to get her blood drawn because Cris, like all the Altamiras, gets away with anything. Mariana does love her daughter and thought they needed a blood sample from her because of Sofía’s diagnosis of anemia. I thought what Cris said to Mariana was something about the O-negative and O-positive issue with the blood of the parents of Sofía. Of course, Mariana has to be her real mother. She was married to Cris and carried a baby to full term. They showed her slipping out when the newborn was crying a lot. If what Cris described is true, then Ed could not be Sofía’s bio dad. This doesn’t mean they won’t continue to view each other as father and daughter. And Mariana admitted, after being told the medical facts, that Ed was not the bio dad. Don’t know why there’s any confusion.

Yes, the female doctor at the prison knew the real electroshock doctor. I think he was somehow bribed or convinced to pretend to be sick so Salvador could pretend to be the substitute quack.

Where do they get these repulsive females? Oriana was an insult to lesbians everywhere and a completely evil and ugly creature. And the fat “nurse” who sadistically enjoys torturing the mental patients is beyond horrible. They really scared me when Blanca’s batty roommate overheard her conversation with Salvador. How can she be trusted to keep her yap shut?

It will never happen, but I wish one of the people Raquel is gloating over in a hospital bed would just shut their eyes and ignore her. Or better yet, have a small recorder under their pillow!

I think there's a decent chance Iván is playing Raquel. I hope so.

Mariana was married to Ed and is obviously the bio mom. Sofia's blood type would be a combo of or the same as one of her parents. Her blood type isn't as Chris sees it however if Ed is Adriano's son his blood type would not be the same as Raq and her hubby and her other sons. It is all very confusing but as much of a slut as Mariana is I'm still thinking Ed is the father. Lord knows it is awfully late in the story to throw in a Sofia isn't an Altamira story. Lots of TN's drag in new characters at the end but i've never seen a short Televisa one do it.

I agree I wish one of Raq's victims would just ring the call button and tell the nurse that Raq is not to be allowed in again-ever. Her tendency to gloat is going to bring her down.
 

I continue to be amazed how Raquel can do a tumble in the sack and her wig not askew or ruffled. Guess she doesn't move.
 

My DVR didn't record the rest of the episode after Jorge went to the barrio and saw Karina at the restaurant. But from what you guys mentioned, Mariana did admit that Eduardo wasn't the dad. But we all assume she's lying, right? That was the audience doesn't deduce that Eduardo is the real long lost son. Because the novela is trying to get us to think it's Ramon.

Anyway, later on, if there's a scene where Sofia's life is in danger on account of Ivan, and Mariana blurts out, "Noooo Ivan! She's your daughter"!" I'll laugh at the absurdity of it all.

Cristobal looks better and better to me. I've always liked that he had a mean streak in him, except for the drinking. I remember when he was in the telenovela Los Hederedos Del Monte, and I always thought he was the cuter brother. Maybe I'm still crushing on him from then.

Ivan is playing Raquel, I'm almost certain of it. He prides himself on making women fall madly in love with him, and was only doing all this to find out what's really going to hurt her when he betrays her. Raquel is just a harder nut to crack, but she will fall too.

Still not feeling an ounce of sympathy for Blanca. Wow, I really despise her. Valentina, of course, doesn't deserve being in the insane asylum. But Blanca can fry there, she's useless. Catalina, Mariana, and even Raquel are far more intelligent, and have bigger balls than Blanca does. She doesn't represent a strong woman to me at all.




 

What I find interesting here is that three of the female characters are light yeas more despicable then the worst of the men which is a toss up between ivan and Rafa. Simona, Mariana and Raquel are just vile on every level and I see little or no redeeming qualities in any of them. Mariana has not managed to convince me that she really loves Sofia and the other two love only themselves.
 

I think Ivan may be Sophie's dad. That may lead him to betray Raquel. Hope so, that he betrays Raquel.
 

OK, here’s what I think about the blood typing. If Cris compared a sample of Ed’s blood and Mariana’s blood, and the results showed it impossible for Sofía to be the child of those two blood types; then it doesn’t matter whether Eduardo is the son of Raquel and her dead husband or the son of Valentina and Adriano. It just means that he’s not Sofía’s father – no matter who his parents were. I think the fact that many think he’s Adriano’s and Valentina’s son is confusing the blood typing issue.

I don’t know a lot about blood types with siblings; but, if Cris just assumed from his own blood type, that Ed had the same blood type, then the fact that Ed is not a child of the same parents as Cris would make him assume that Mariana foisted someone else’s child off on Ed. The real kicker is Mariana admitting to Cris that someone else is Sofía’s father. Why in the world would she do such a thing if it wasn’t true and she’d been found out?

And, yes, I despise Simona and DO NOT want her to be forgiven by either of her siblings.
 

To the last Anon--You've got the "bloodletting" analysis correct.

However, I don't think Ed had blood taken for Sofia's anemia results. Cris is probably assuming his and Ed's blood types are the same. I know for a fact that my son and daughter's blood types do not match each other's nor mine, but then that was just types. If a DNA test were done, they would definitely be mine and sibling to each other.
 

Well if Sofia is not Ed's and he and Blanca get together perhaps she will let Hugo come live with them, there will be a slot open. Otherwise, Hugo will be on the street or living with Karina because Blanca hardly ever thinks of the kid.

So if Ivan gets married to Raquel both Sofia and Ed can call him dad.

But, I think the whole Ed is not the father is just to put us off a little longer. Just like we are constantly reminded Ramon is an orphan and now Adriano leaning so heavily on him.

I don't recall blood test for Ed nor Mariana but saw Chris reviewing some documents in a folder but they looked like dental charts.

I just hope Salvador tells Adriano, now that he's awake, that Val is in the same hospital as Blanca.

Myheart was sort of breaking for Chris when he and Cata signed the divorce papers, I do like that actor, loved him in Herederos del Monte.

Also: the manicomio attendant throws a couple sheets in the laundry cart and wheels it away with Blanca and Val hiding in it, and he doesn't notice that the cart weighs about 250 lbs more than it should? Tsk, tsk.

I'm interested in finding out how everyone else is doing. Is Adriano fully healed? Has Jorge been visiting Karina in the barrio...or no? Has Blanca developed any feelings for Salvador throughout these last couple of months?

Now, did Simona have her breasts taped up during the show until now? Or is that just a whole lot of padding? Why would they let Rafael live all this all this time?

Where are Blanca and Valentina going to set up after they escape?

Blanca is going to have to do a lot of groveling, and rectifying a bunch of mistakes for me to even feel like she's worthy of having a happy ending. I'm still not liking the character.

So, really, was I right about maybe Ivan being the dad? Because Mariana surely seems to be solidified in that she passed the kid off on Eduardo knowing he wasn't the dad.

LI just took a page from LP with Blanca writing her plan for justice. I'm now starting to wonder if this is only a 120 episode story and can't remember where i read that it was.

Once again Sofia tries to say something when Ivan is introduced as Raq's novio and nobody listens. This poor kid is going to get a complex if they aren't careful. Although i did think Chris picked up on it while Oblivious Ed didn't.

Raq spun a lovely story for Jorge about the missing son being married with two kids. living with a fine family in the DF. I don't think he bought it but with him your never know.

I'm still not buying the Sofia isn't Ed's story. It makes no sense at this point but why Mariana would lie is a mystery. Then again she always lies.

I too felt sorry for Chris with the divorce papers. He threw it all away for a lying murderess. SMH.

Apparently Mariana hasn't found the right moment to tell Ed the truth and Chris is keeping silent. What is it with these people who keep secrets all in the name of not hurting someone else.

Miss New Jugs thinks she is hot stuff. I wonder what she thinks she is going to do now since she probably blew through her ill-gotten gains. If i were Blanca i would never forgive her for what she did in signing those papers.
 

And remember when Simona confessed to Rafael how she was always in love with him, blah blah blah? That never went anywhere, and truthfully, I didn't buy it. But! They did make it a point once when Karina said go Ramon...."What does my cousin know about love?" And Rafael looked despondent about that realization. What if they actually have Simona and Rafael end up together in the end??

Imagine when Rafael sees Simona's breast enhancement. His eyes are going to end up more crossed than ever before.

You're so right, J in O, I can only hope that happens. Best case scenario would be that Rafael died, but then again I'd feel a wee bit bad about doña Tita. Rafael has shown that he can be a decent guy, but he's gotten lost in his greed and power trip. Maybe he will come to his senses and redeem himself by helping out Blanca in taking down Raquel.

Then he can end up with Simona la chichona and be miserable.

I think the perfect ending to Simona is to have a nice rich guy fall for her then leave her at the altar when he discovers how shallow she is. Maybe Jorge wises him up and this gives her the wake up call she needs.

Yes, Adriano is nearly fully healed and will be going back to prison unless something else happens.

Jorge been visiting the barrio, but Katrina blew him off to his face (but I think she still has feelings for him, as only a barrio skank can, and incredibly, he probably still has feeling for her, as only a privileged playboy might).

Blanca has only deepened her gratitude and friendship for Sal. He on the other hand, is smitten.

I think Simona is naturally small-breasted and the new girls are attributable to the magic of the wardrobe dept.

Why would they let Rafael live all this time? There's no answer for this one. Probably Uriel is being paid major bucks to be in it til the end. I think he's doing a great job interpreting the character we all love to hate--so different from his strong silent type as Rogelio's personal attendant in La Que No Podia Amar.

I think Blanca and Val will be picked up by Salvador after they escape.

T-Bird, you could be right about maybe Ivan being Sofia's dad. But, as I recall, Mariana was Richie's mujer when all this started and she went to Spain to get away from him, but he found her and put her back to work. It was Richie that worked for Ivan.

Now, it's very possible that Mariana got around, but probably not in the time frame we're talking about. Mariana had to have had time to fall in love and marry Ed and get pregnant. If her pregnancy didn't rouse any suspicions in the Altamira household, then she would have had to have cheated on Ed during their short live-in marriage. If Ed is NOT the pappi, it would more likely to have been Richie, no?

All the above is to say I think Sofia is Ed's child anyway. Mariana is lying, but is it to throw Cris off the trail (which backfired) or to keep Sofia safe from Ivan.

Then what? Someone else has to empty the cart into a laundry truck and roll the cart back, or do they just exchange a full cart for an empty one. Yes, someone is either going to discover the two of them or notice how heavy it is if they need to lift it. Still, I hope they get away to "hacer justicia" with Salvador and Adriano.

I can't believe no one has ever tried to escape the manicomio through the delivery entrance before this. The administration must be pretty incognizant not to think of such an obvious route out of the prison. You would think they would have someone at the door to bayonet each cart as it leaves the hospital--just in case (haha).

I noticed that Blanca's fingernails were decently covered with a clear polish while she was writing in her journal.

She and Salvador make a much better couple than she and Ed. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it til the end, when the writers will force me to admit that it ain't gonna happen that way.

I thought Simona was hysterical flouncing in with her new "luke." She got a complete make-over, new hairdo, clothes and jewelry to adorn her. Her new girls didn't look out of the ordinary. I expected DDDD-sized melons to make her look ridiculous. I guess it all cost her a pretty penny. I wonder what color her nails are.

 

I'm on Team Ed is the Dad. Why Mariana is lying is beyond me but thens he just likes to lie. It seems an obvious red herring to me just like the endless hints about our little orphan Ramon.

I don't care how stupid the laundry cart is I just want them out of that horrible place, which almost gives me nightmares, and on to taking revenge make that justice against Raq.

Poor Sal had better get his ass out of that place ASAP so he can help the girls escape. Now where they are going to go in manicomio whites and how they are going to hide remains a mystery. I agree that Blanca has deep feelings of gratitude and friendship for him but it will never go anywhere. She told her roomie she had loved someone but love is not for her.

Adriano is slated to go back to prison so Ramon and Cat have to step up. She should tell her father to grab his money and take the next flight to El Norte to be with Diego and then they can go to the police and get Adriano freed.

I'm dying to know how the girls and Adriano will meet up to mete out justice and where they are going to get the money to do it.

I'm finding Chris to be a more complex character as we go along At first he just seemed like your basic stuck up rich boy ass chasing after slutty Mariana but he did develop real feelings for Sofia and he is now trying to be a good brother to Ed. Of course like Jorge he blames all the crap that is happening to them on Blanca instead of on Raq. I do wish he would just speak up and tell Ed both truths — murderess and maybe not baby daddy.

It always interests me how we can see the same character and react differently to them. I like Blanca, I don't like the actress playing her and I don't like some of the things she has done. At heat she is a fighter and wants justice . She is not the money hungry tramp Rafa and Simona portrayed her to be. I guess it is a case of projection on their parts.

I detest the psycho Mariana who lies, sleeps around, casually murders someone while talking to her child on the phone, encourages said child to lie oh wait keep secrets. Maybe she has developed some feelings for the girl but that doesn't outweigh the vile things she has done and continues to do.

 

I want them out of the nut house too because the background music is carnival meets horror movie soundtrack.

Cat begging Ramon to hold off till Adriano leaves the hospital so their budding romance won't end, Jorge telling Rafa no to his request for cash for information and the boys meet moms boyfriend highlights for me. I wonder what Salvador is doing for a living now because he has been at the nut house playing doctor for 3 months. I've begun to wonder if we will see Diego again.

Simona finally has what she wants and now looks like a hooker. She probably doesn't care. It kind of took me by surprise when I saw her. she sees hooker as successful in her eyes, or, more than likely so overcome with glamour she has no idea what good taste is.

I am not liking that Cat is asking Roman to put of telling what he knows to the authorities for her father's sake. I have always liked her but she seems to have a character flaw where Daddy is concerned. Kind of like Blanca where Ed is concerned.

I still like Blanca character too. Acting stinks but she has seemed to liven up a little since being threatened loss of mind. Perhaps the writers told her to get some energy?

Sophia and Hugo have no option but to marry each other. They both have been through a lot. They can console each other when they grow up.

I agree Anita...Blanca broke Ed's heart but she has repented and back to wanting to help Adriano, Val, and her father, Memo. Sal seems perfect for her. Her foundation with him was not started on a lie, he is a nice guy, and he genuinely loves her. Ed will find someone else. Sigh! I know that is not going to happen. The entire story was based on Ed and their instant love when the met at the masquerade party.

I too wonder about what Sal will do unless he gets his cop job back after all the reveals. I can't believe he spent three months as a doc in a manicomio without getting caught unless he only showed up on electric shock day. At this point we can add him to the long list of Impostors:

I feel bad for Salvador. He is so crazy bout the girl he has put everything at risk to help her and watch when she doesn't need him anymore he'll be kicked to the curb if he isn't conveniently killed before. Blanca is very selfish and has been living in a fantasy world from the start. The only unselfish thing she has done is try to get medical treatment for her father. She turned her back on Simona (I don't like her either but she was left alone too with Memo's death and Blanca running off) and Hugo. Poor Hugo was entirely forgotten and has had more contact with Sofia over the last 6 months or so than his own guardian. Thank god the skank Karina stepped up to help the kid and make sure he was fed, bills paid, clean clothes and homework done as Blanca slobbered after Ed and kissing up to Sofia.

I too am disappointed with Cat but at least she and Ramon are honest with each other about their intentions and why. She knows when her father goes down it will be her reputation and standing in the community that will suffer as well and knowingly told Ramon their idyllic fantasy relationship will end and to please at least prolong the inevitable.

Does the alternate galan ever get the girl? I've never seen it. Seen plenty of them get killed trying to save the girl, however. It would be a refreshing change if Sal ended up with Blanca.
I do want to see the team of Blanca and Val bring Raq down, hope that is where the plot is headed.

The only tn I've actually watched where the alternate galan got the girl was Querida Enemiga. It was a tough choice and the writers kept it secret until the very end.

Secondary males do sometime albeit rarely walk off with the girl. Sometimes it is difficult to tell who the main galan is. An example was Donde Esta Elisa where the leading lady ended up staying with her hubby instead of going off with the hot cop. For the life of me I couldn't understand any woman choosing Gabriel Porras of Jorge Luis Pila.

Some times ego clashes will result in a switch of the couples. Some years back a producer fired the galan and brought in another one. He had trouble with him too and by the end the gossip was that number one would return for the end and the girl. That didn't happen and a third guy appeared. Needless to say it was a horrible mishmash and most of the actors involved don't show it on their resumes.

Not long ago the leading pair didn't get along at all. As the novel headed toward the end the actress refused to work with the man and wanted him fired. That didn't happen but some neutral type guy appeared and won her over.

Sal is pretty much a Johnny come lately in this story and if we only have a 120 characters there isn't much time for any romance to develop. To be fair to Blanca she has never led him on and has been very clear in saying that Ed is her one true love. Now she is off men and I just don't see her suddenly falling into Sal's. arms. Unfortunately he is one of those novela character who gets a sniff of the heroine's Eu de Novela and inexplicably with no encouragement falls in love. Also unfortunately for Sal there is no eligible girl left for him to turn to which makes me wonder about his survival.
 

Good point Decie. I wonder about Sal's survival too! ...but then too I am still wondering how Rafa has survived.

I too wonder how much longer Rafa will be strutting around. He is so stupid he though he could play with sharks and betrayed everyone from his mother though Blanca to the big dogs. He now is fully aware of how dangerous Raq is and he is afraid.

He is responsible for framing Ramon, for luring the cop and padre to their deaths so a giant anvil must be headed his way. Some people may think that isn't fair to Tita but I don't like her either. She went along with the Adriano son lie and refused to believe that Adriano had nothing to do with the beat down on the priest even when the priest told her Adriano was only there to help him so she may loose her son but she'll still have the skank.
 

Decie-I wonder if Ivan will have Mariana off Rafael. Since we both agree he should not have survived all of this time there has to be a really big reason he is still walking around.

Rafa is the only one who saw Mariana in her diplomat killing outfit but since the incompetent police don't seem to be looking for whoever killed the high profile man, plus a cop and the guy in the garden I guess that is just another hanging thing that may never come into play again.

I keep wondering where Raq is hiding all the bodies, the nurse, Fernanda, Tuerto and God knows how many others. I guess have a shipyard makes a good cover.

I can't remember does Ivan know that Raq and Rafa were lovers? That might be enough for him to off the dunce.
 

Decie, good point about no unattached girl waiting in the wings for Sal. I have noticed that the writers love pairing all the surviving characters off in the gran finale. Odd number of characters doesn't bode well for someone...Of course new characters can still be introduced, but seems like in these "body count" novelas, at least one alternate galan bites the dust.

We actually have two unattached men now that Chris has been divorced and there is no way in hell that Mariana is going to survive. So maybe Chris and Sal can link arms and walk off into the sunset like the two guys in Casablanca.

I feel that either Jorge or Cristobal could be Adriano's son. Because of the way Raquel treats them both, especially cristobal. she's not nice to him at all and always treats him like trash. He only saw Sofia's blood type result but not Eduardo's. He concluded on Eduardo's blood type because he assumed that they should have the same Blood type. He'll be shocked when he finds out that he is actually the odd one out. Plus the age difference between him and eduardo further highlights this possibility. Only months apart. Sofia's paternity issue is the program's way of zeroing in on cristobal as eduardo's son. Much more, he is the one carrying the matter most. At the end of the day he'll shoot himself on the foot.
Mariana only agreed to the accusation because she is a wayward woman who had been in and out of different relationships until she finally left Eduardo.
