Interesting episode. First off, I wonder if Rafael will have the courage to kill Mariana. I can see him attempting the act, however he's such a dolt, and she has quick enough reflexes to kick his butt and extract information out of him if need be.

Cristobal can certainly do better than Mariana, and now it definitely seems that it's not love that he has for her, but envy in regards to Eduardo.

All that planning that Blanca did, and all Salvador has to do was brandish a gun a long time ago, and time wouldn't have been wasted. All this time, and the insane asylum never thought to check his credentials?

I thought Simona's boobies were going to be bigger. Oh, Ramon and Catalina, it's time to stop playing house. The you-know-what is about to hit the fan, and now the real test to the relationship is coming.

So Rafa has the assignment of killing Mariana. Does Ivan even know if the moron knows how to use a gun? Any takers that he will botch the job and be on the receiving end.

Chris is a bit of an enigma but his jealousy of Ed finally came out. I couldn't tell a few episodes ago if he was playing Mariana or not but tonight it looked like he is serious. As much as I loath her his actions were perilously close to rape and now i don't care if he ends up dead, in jail or alone.

Looks like Adriano is going to get his one little miracle and Clemente's days as governor are going to come crashing down.

Raqhell doesn't realize it yet but her little world is slowly unraveling. The doc tells her about the evening escape attempt and about Sal and she decides it is time for her to pay a visit, gun stuffed in her purse. Too bad the doc didn't realize a fat suit wearing Blanca, a fake Doc and the supposedly brainless Val have made their escape. Raq is sure to go BSC when she finds that out.

Idiot Ed is sacrificing himself for Sofia and thinking he can have a happy life with a murdering witch who knows he doesn't love her. Typical galan

 

I saw Chris show up at Mariana's and plant a kiss on her; the next thing I knew they were in bed together (I missed a few details while making my broccoli). I had still been hoping Chris was trying to derail Ed's growing interest in her. Chris looked pretty impactada when he walked in on the family celebration and Jorge announced that Ed and Mari were engaged.

So last night we had two sexual assaults, two marriage proposals, two zombies on the loose and not one brain between the three boys when it comes to women.

I just wonder if Cat can convince Clemente to do something to take Raquel down in order to semi rehabilitate himself. Otherwise Cat & Ramon's relationship ends because he's a dead man walking.

Well Ed could have a son on the way and raise it but not know it was his brothers.

It got kinda stupid with Salvador banishing a gun and pistol whipping folk to get Blanca sprung, what a fool. Glad Vals out though.

Wonder what the consternation was about on the face of Melania when Raquel left with the gun. Surely she has see her flash one before.

I too wondered about Melania's reaction. Considering that she let Raq send her own kid off to prison and helped with the letter writing and bloody dress routine it seemed weird to say the least.

Chris was uber creepy at Mariana's although I will admit I was hoping the Oblivious Ed would show up and catch them in the sack like Catalina did.

Simona is a boob and no matter how big she now has them they rival her IQ. Shouting that Blanca isn't her sister, is a killer and crazy makes her the second worst sister in the story. I REALLY REALLY don't want her to come all over sorry, sorry when Blanca lands her rich man. I want the little bitch stuck with her boobs working for tips at the restaurant, not swanning around with the ricos. Plus it would be fun if she really wasn't Blanca's sister just another orphan Memo picked up.

What did the newspaper article say that got Clemente so down? Did Ramon already go to some non corrupt official and blow the whistle on him? Do the snooty Altamira's not read a newspaper? I so want to see their smug little faces when the story of Adriano being innocent and famed comes out. They need to be taken down several pegs and that is step number one.

Then I hope Ramon does the right thing. I want to see the faces of the Altamira's and Tita. It's time that the bad guys in this of which there are many begin to get what is coming to them. Enough with all the piling on of the innocents.

Clemente would be smart to either go and confess or pack his bags and head to NYC and Diego. Instead since he is such a wimp he'll probably just stand around wringing his hands and guilt tripping Cat.
 

First we saw Clemente get the bad news from his daughter that the jig was about to be up. In the next scene Raquel gets a phone call. I was SURE it was Clemente and Ramon was going to be toast. Although, Cat did have an insurance policy with her threat to Raquel about what would happen if ANYTHING happened to Ramon.

But the call turned out to be from evil pervert doctor Salvatierra, ratting out Salvador as faking the electroshock treatments. That was absolutely disgusting that he was climbing on top of a strapped down patient to rape her before he fried her brains!
 

Anon, I too thought it was Clemente so we'll see if he runs to Raquel with this or do the right thing. I keep hoping Diego will come back and he and Cat both put pressure on.
 

Thanks to the comments, I now know that Chris basically blackmailed Mariana into bed; and that the newspaper only had a story about Adriano going back to jail. (I mistakenly thought the whole scandal was out already.) No wonder Clem looks so distraught. Poor Cata is really caught in the middle.

I still say Melania is the dark horse here and she is hiding plenty of secrets that will play a big part in the upcoming episodes.

Oh! once again last night I found myself yelling at the TV "pull the trigger! pull the trigger!" Was anyone else horrified that Sal and Blanca drove off and left Val lying wounded in the street? Awful! However I am actually glad Blanca had a safe place to go. It was good to see Peter again too. (But wait: Blanca was sentenced to 30 years in prison, and Socorro was sentenced to 10 months, and yet Socorro leaves Blanca an apartment and ton of money "just in case"?)And boy, what kind of neighborhood is that, where Raq pulls a gun and shoots Val, and later Rafa pulls a gun on Mariana, and nobody notices?

JnO it was silly just driving off, leaving Val on the street and didn't even call for an ambulance, then just calmly sitting in the car as Sal professed his love and Blanca donned a blond wig.

Also stupid was Sal being taught by Blanca how to take the bad guys down. He was a police commander but now an idiot I guess.

And why the sudden concern for Simona and Hugo from Blanca or the brilliant move showing up at Tita's restaurant. Blanca's not invisible just because she has a school girl outfit and glasses on.
 

I was surprised, too, that the shooting took place in view of street and pedestrian traffic and no one stopped.

OTOH, if I saw two women standing on the sidewalk pointing guns at each other, I might not have stopped either. But I would have called 911. It probably happened off camera, while Blanca was inspecting her new digs. She forgot about Val pretty quickly once she saw the big screen TV. I noticed the cash was all U.S. hundred dollar bills.

I was also surprised that Raquel found them so quickly just cruising around when the whole Sanitarium protective force couldn't.

Although I am getting pretty tired of her declaring that she's doing all this for Justicia, she's added a dash of revenge in there this time.

Interesting that she declared she would never be interested in Ed again. I wonder how long that will last. Poor Salvador.

Rafael is The Big Time LOSER on all fronts. Now what is he going to try to save his hide. That was a sorry excuse for a disguise for Blanca, Big Glasses?

Hurry up Ramon. Either pi$$ or get off the pot. What are you waiting for now. Do the right thing. At least he turned down the cash Clemente was pushing. Ya, right, it was to help them live life to Cat's expectations.

 

Despite what I thought about Cat and Ramon (never gonna work) they both seen to really care for each other and sensitive to the consequences of their actions and how it will impact them as people. Right now Ramon has more information to take the bad guys down than all the running around and deaths associated with Blanca.

Fascinating episode. I was disappointed in Sal for just dragging Blanca away and leaving Val. Then he compounds his stupidity by declaring his love for Blanca. SMH

Now we know who Socorro left her money to and with any luck Blanca will make good use of if rapidisimo. Noticed the resemblance to LP with the fancy electronic pictures of her targets.

I think her "disguise" was deliberate and that she knew Rafa was there.

Rafa a gigantic creep and as he said himself a coward. He will do anything to save himself but it isn't going to work,

Same thing for Mariana who now knows she is in the crosshairs and that Ivan wants her dead. She has nothing she can use to save herself since both Ivan and Raq not to say Chris have solid information to send her to prison for life. She overplayed her hand and is now checkmated. Didn't we all guess that moronic Rafa would blow the kill?

Let's see Val gets shot but by whose gun, Sals or Raq's and why the big deal about getting something into the manicomio. Nice place that, it has a full scale operating room and who would think to send a shooting victim to a manicomio.

Raq thinks on her feet and used the whole thing to make another accusation against Blanca. All of it is designed to make Ed hate her and it seems to be working. I'm surprised that the dolt Jorge who has known her some time just immediately thinks she could kill his aunt — and what is her motive.

Ed goes to see Val and swears he'll make Blanca pay and he is going to get her back to the house where she'll be safe. I just want her to open her eyes and tell him it was Raq not Blanca.

Ramon is another disappointment for not doing the right thing even after Adriano told him he was like a son to him. Obviously now I'm convinced Ed is the one. Add to that Blanca saying once again she could never be involved with the son of the woman who killed her father.

Tell me I'm wrong but I swear i heard Val ask Raq which one of yours is mine.
 

Val did say which is mine right after she said where is my son.

In the scuffle Raquel ended up with Salvador's gun and left her's at the scene and it was registered to her so she wanted Ivan's help in retrieving it.

Ramon didn't tell Adriano, told Cat he couldn't lose her but she came back and told him she shouldn't keep him from doing what he knows is the right thing and that is to tell. I'm assuming because he rejected the money from Clemente he intends to use the evidence to help Adriano.
 

I think Ramon may do the right thing just because Cat knows she will be destroying who he is as a person if he doesn't do it. Also she knows it would make him as corrupt as her father. We shall see.

The bad thing about Rag getting Sal's gun is that it will have Blanca's prints as well as Sal's and Val's. Even in a third world country they should have some fingerprinting analysis but Val's prints would be on top of the other two. I did think it was bizarre that the two dead men walking were out beating the bushes for a gun.

Did Katrina tell Blanca she was worried about Simona being a prostitute? The two of them also figured out that Simona had signed the papers that authorized electric shock. If it were me i would never forgive that kind of betrayal.

Chri really has upped the creep factor but there is no way he is going to let Mariana marry Ed.
 

Valentina sure did exclaim, "Which one of them is mine?!" So now we do know it's Eduardo. Or else why have that scene where he goes and pledges help to his "aunt"?

Poor Valentina. That lady just keeps getting kicked around and around. Twice she's been this close to salvation, only to end up drugged and in a semi coma. Wonder what the fat nurse has in store for her because I'm sure she's still pissed about how they hogtied her.

Mariana better do something stellar to get back at Ivan after she found out about the plan to kill her. I knew Rafael was going to mess the assassination up. But let's not forget that the original gun they were looking for is still missing somewhere in the bushes, right? Nobody is bringing that up. Rafael didn't find it, and once Ivan heard about Blanca's new image, he didn't bother to ask about the gun Raquel dropped. Which is the reason Raquel insisted on getting help on the first place!

That was the dumbest disguise I've ever seen, Blanca. Like Doña Tita wouldn't recognize you!? And wasn't Rafael hiding out in his room after he demanded his dinner to be brought up, like the coward he is? What made him come back out to the restaurant?

Sofia has to be Ivan's daughter. Where the heck is Hugo, by the way? And yeah, I was laughing at the stupidity of the PowerPoint presentation Blanca came up with to Salvador...an ex-cop who lost his detective smarts.

Here's the plan, "We expose the governor, get back Adriano's money, tell the Altamira boys their mom is a monster, and boom! She goes to prison"

What other plan was there? My two year nephew could have figured that one out himself. Also, where was Domingo hiding out? He's still on the run after so many months, right?

Domingo is smart and the cops are morons. They apparently have never bothered to look for the killer of a diplomat, the murder of a cop, various disappearances but they have time to run after two women who fled a manicomio.

I too wonder how fast Ed can get his "Tia" out of that place before fat nurse takes revenge. I'm wondering if Blanca's old roommate will tell him Blanca would never hurt the woman and that it is the docs who are the problem.

Ivan is from Spain and Mariana didn't know him as far as we know before she got pregnant. I'm still thinking that is just another one of her lies although why she told it is a mystery. Considering how she sleeps around maybe she doesn't even know herself who the father is. I still think the blood type confusion is because Ed is a Ferrer.

We've all though poor Sofia is going to need psychiatric help after finding out her mother is a killer, a liar and not a super heroine and maybe her father isn't but i'm thinking Ed is the one who will really need it.

Let's see my "mother" who isn't took me away from my real parents, subjected my mother to years of abuse in a manicomio filling her with mind altering drugs, subjected her to electric shock, shot her, framed my father for murder, palmed off two different people as me, stole his money, framed the love of my life for murder and theft, made sure she was abused and tortured in the prison "mother" " controlled, subjected her to potential electric shock and rape, blamed her for shooting my mother. Mariana's heart was broken by Ivan. There were flashbacks to how she walked in on him with two other women, and how devastated she was. She stated before that she was in love with him etc etc. At one point during a conversation they had, she told him she'd hope that he would end up marrying her, and he laughed in her face about it. Why would she keep letting Cristobal subject her to forcing sex upon her if Sofia's kid was really Eduardo? That's honestly the only thing he has over her head, that she wants him to keep quiet about.

Plus, even if Cristobal just alone tells Eduardo that Mariana is involved with the mafia, Ivan would deny it. Cristobal would end up looking like a fool. The one thing that he does have proof of, is that something is wonky with the blood tests. Which, I'm still assuming that Mariana didn't lie, and my sneaking suspicion is that Ivan is the dad.

But that's not important right now. Can we talk about that ugly shirt Blanca was wearing at the apartment that Socorro left her? Yikes!

If Chris told Ed that Mariana was mafia I'm pretty sure that Raq would back him up. As much as she hates Blanca she hates Mariana even more. Chris would have a believability problem with Ed since Ed knows he has the hots for Mariana. I'll be curious to see what steps Chris takes to keep the two of them apart.

I didn't notice the shirt because i've become immune to the horrific clothing on this show. Even the men don't always get a break from Ed's pastel pants and shirts, to Jorge's skinny pants it is all awful. I will say however that Chris always looks well put together. Poor Mariana is stuffed into too short too tight and God help us the skank wears wild combo' of colors and her pants have obviously been painted on.
 

Decie Girl, thanks for your hopefully correct insight that Blanca wanted Rafael to see her with the huge black rimmed glasses on. It might have kept my head from exploding at the unbelievable stupidity of her showing up at Tita's. Not to mention planning to go see Simona! Her dear little sis might tie her up and call Raquel!

Would someone please hurry up and kill Rafael! He's been on the bubble for a month now, and I can't stand the sight of him.

I was SO disappointed in Ramon for not telling Adriano about the faked poison tests. I don't think I can stand it if Adriano has to go back to prison.

Cristobal's behavior is disgusting. Only in telenovelas, I think, do men enjoy sex that's forced by blackmail.
 

This india Maria is too much! You mean, she was able to switch up the color of her skin with that super bronze makeup getup, and then went back home to Salvador and Domingo only to put on that garish blouse again?! And she put on her regular makeup...yeah...right.

She should have just kept the Indian costume on.

The whole Mariana double-cross thing is pretty interesting, but I gotta say, Ivan's bodyguards aren't much good--they let her barge into his house with a gun.


Note that Adriano didn't for one moment believe Blanca could attempt to kill someone. He is not faithless like Blanca was.

Looks like we are in for a series of Blanca impersonations which takes us right back to the beginning when when wanted to be an actress.

I wonder how long Rafa reform will last - not long is my guess. I don't care for Tita but she did the right thing in kicking him to the cub.

Looks like Simona is headed for a life of prostitution.Had i been Blanca I would have smacked her a lot harder. I couldn't believe she would pick up the phone to call the police hoping to get her hands on more money. I guess having your sister undergo electric shock wasn't good enough for her.

Adriano never for one minute would believe Blanca capable of killing anyone. He is a lot older and worldly than she is and he also knows the caliber of enemy Raq is. I liked him telling Oblivious to open his eyes. Ed obviously remembers that Raq hid her sister for all those years and is making some kind of connection that she might have had something to do with the shooting. Raq and Mariana came up with a good story but he didn't look like he was buying it.

Marian thins she is pretty smart playing Raq and Ivan against each other hoping to survive but she is stupid in dealing with Ed. If you know the man you are planing on marring is in love with someone else why keep bringing up her name and telling him I'm not Blanca.

I continue to be amazed that Ivan's body guards and most of Raq's are in the house or office and not prowling the grounds. It makes no sense what so ever.
 

I HATE Blanca. She hasn't secured one shred of evidence herself after all her shenanigans, turning on Adriano and into the lap of Raquel, leaving her brother and sister, getting Socorro, the fake Blanca and Fernanda killed, leading Salvador on by saying perhaps after it's all over she can forget Ed and now go guilt Ramon and expect him to give her what he and Cat dug up. She is one selfish skank betraying him.

I don't think she was leading Sal on as much as being honest with him. In the beginning she'd find things during her snooping phase and she correctly identified Val. She is however a bit of a loose cannon but she can't be blamed for Socorro's death which was ordered by Raq. As for Fernanda she got herself killed first by betraying Adriano and then trying to do the same thing to Raq.

I was thinking this morning that even if most of us haven't figured Ed for the missing son, he has to be. Chris is creepy and Jorge shows signs of being both unstable (screaming at Karina and then trying to make up with her and doing it over and over) and obsessive all of which are Raq traits. We have seen her talking to herself and her Adriano obsession is what has driven the whole story.

Can't wait for tonight.
 

Blanca has been careful with Salvador but when they had the conversation (think it was in the car) and she gave him something that will provide him hope. She said after all this is over no way Ed will want her so it leaves the door open. Now she didn't specifically say he was the next batter up but the guy has lost and risked everything for her and he gets a feeble thank you. That pretty much is Blanca's MO. Use people when she needs and ignores or worse turns on them when she doesn't but then returns a gives a little oops or sorry and looks at them with her sad eyes and she's good. Now she will take Ramon's evidence and use it on her terms and take all the credit for springing Adriano and taking Clemente down.

I thought Jorge particularly scummy last night holding himself out to Karina as reward to turn on Blanca (wish she would though) but those Altamira's have a real high opinion of themselves and their entitlement.

Chris is just a low class scumbag regardless the kind of woman Mariana is.

I say Socorro and Fernanda because indirectly their attempt at helping gets muddied by Blanca's involvement. Fernando on her own had uncovered the real Leticia and could have discovered more. Blanca has a way of slithering in, always needing to be the center of attention, can't help herself and it gets people hurt. I know she is the La Impostora but her kind I would give a wide berth.

I believe had Socorro not been neck deep in trying to help Blanca in the pen she'd still be around.

Mariana now is playing a Rafa game between Ivan and Raquel and though I like her character somebody shoot her.
 

You are right about how the Altamira boys have a high opinion of themselves. I blame Raq for that. Jorge can't seem to make up his mind about anything. He snarls at Karina that one day she'll know the truth about Blanca and her comeback was perfect — and so will you. I can't for the life of me understand why he thinks so badly of her when he has known her for a long time and known her only as Blanca of the Barrio It's like he has no mind of his own. Raq says hate so he hates. Chris doesn't seem to have such a hard on for Blanca. He is more upset that Ed and Sofia have been hurt and I can't blame him for that.

I can't decide what his real motive is for trying to keep Ed and Mariana apart.

Mariana is a fool if she thinks she can outsmart and outplay Ivan and Raq. She was rubbing it in with Raq by saying he knew more about Ivan than Raq did. We know that is true but she should't push it like she does. She did the same thing with Ivan. If any character has asked for a bullet in the head she has as has Rafa.

Don't know about anyone else but i'm not buying his "contrition". The first threat from Ivan or Raq and he'll give up his own mother.
 

I agree, don't think Rafa has reformed, although may convince himself at the moment that he has.

Blanca told Sal in the car she could never love the son of the woman who had her father killed. However Sal told her he would die for her (anvil #1) and last night Peter mentioned to Sal "I know you'll love her until you die" (anvil #2). Poor Sal, I really do like him, he has the chops without the entitled attitude.

I like him too and those anvils are just waiting,plus which there is no pretty single gal we could match him up with. On the other hand he may survive and get his police job back where he could stick it to Raq and the rest who deserve it.

From the get go Blanca has always said she could have nothing to do with the son of the woman who killed her father which has always solidified my belief that Ed is Adriano and Val's.

Ed has never really shown the entitled attitude to the level his brothers do. Poor Ed is going to have to deal with some almighty shocks and his will be worse than theirs. I can hardly wait.

 

Ed does use the family name to just march right in whenever he wants to chat. Prison, hospital, barrio, police station. I recall he was all over Sal (when Sal still had a job) and Ed just assumed because he was an Altamira Sal should jump and ask how high on the way up. He is definitely a product of his environment. That whole family is just rotten to the core. (Sofia needs to run away and join the circus or something)

Of course Ed is Adriano's and the first thing that needs to be done is give Ed a swift kick and send him to the school of hard knocks, he's been pampered way too long, more so than the other two because he is the favorite.

Right now we have only a few decent folk. Tita finally grew a spine, Karina (still think she a skank) has stepped up to watch and protect Hugo, Ramon & Cat though tiptoeing around the whole Clemente thing aren't double dealers, Adriano of course, the human punching bag Val, Hugo bless his heart, Sofia-thank god ignorance of all the crap is bliss and poor dead man walking Sal.

For me the whole rest of the lot are just selfish slackers and takers.
 

Not going to argue with this one. I really hope that when the great parent reveal comes about that we have time for some kind of relationship to develop. Ed is drawn to Val, didn't have a problem with Adriano until Raq got her oar in. Sofia liked and trusted Adriano when he saved her and she was really good with Val.Letty in the beginning so there is some hope that we won't see instant rejection.

All Adriano wants is his family. Ed is loyal but in for the most horrific shock possible. Talk about your whole world unraveling in a minute and if lying Mariana is right about Sofia not being his he loses everything in a split second. Bring out the tequila bottle.
 

I think Eduardo would be upset to find out Sofía was not his biological child. But it wouldn't change a thing about his feelings for her.
 

Well once mama Raquel goes down guess Val becomes the shipping magnate. I wonder who will be the golden child then if Ed is Adriano's and Raquel's and some other (maybe Ramon or Diego?) is Val and Adriano's? I can't see Ed being Raquel's favorite if he is Val's. When Raquel got the DNA to prove Rafa Adriano's son she could easily gotten it from Ed and didn't matter she the mother, not Val. Gosh, makes my head spin.
 

I have posted twice and neither post showed up so will make this short in case this one does same. I have two questions...

Why did Raquel go down to the ground the same time Val did when Val was shot?

How does Rafa know about the documents Ramone has?i am amazed at how much I forget.

I think Tita at first was misguided but is trying to fix her wrongs. I like her. Same for Blanca. She did good until Raquel convinced her Adriano was the enemy. Of course, she did not do like Adriano and have unwavering faith like he has in her.

I now feel nothing but contempt for Chris. He such disappointed me with the rape of Marianna. How is it he is such a good uncle?

I do not remember an Indian outfit. Hope it is in the reminders at the beginning. How did I miss that? Did I forget? I want to see it.

I think the women both fell to the ground after the gun went off to fake us out. I was hoping it would be Raq but then Val would have been charged with attempted murder.

Thursday nite:
Okay so Simona would 'prefer to earn her own money', as she tells Raquel. Guess that one million bucks she is going to get won't go very far, so Simona has to depend on her prostitute earnings. Sad.

Whew, a sigh of relief, the new police chief appears to be honest, and Ramon's proof--via Eduardo--has done the trick. Finally something goes right!

Rafa, you big dufus, you keep trying to be a decent guy, warning Simona not to betray Blanca. It's just going to make us feel all the worse when you finally do get knocked off.

When was the last time you saw an armed guard give chase to a cleaning lady who forgot her bucket, chasing her out of the hospital and asking "bystanders" if they've seen her?

By the way, did wardrobe borrow Fernanda's wig for Blanca's reporter disguise?

I guess tonight was the night of a 1000 disguises.

It's a mystery to me how Rafa knew about the papers. In any event it doesn't;t matter now.

I think it was very clever of Sal and Blanca to get the papers to Ed who then turned Clemente in. That way Ramon and Cat are in the clear as far as their relationship goes. It also sticks a bit of a knife in Raq that her golden child acted against her interests. More threads unraveling. I also wanted to smack Jorge when he said Blanca and Adriano probably changed the records. Ed at least said the cop wouod be checking it out. Neither of them can imagine that Raqhell is the monster she is although Chri is beginning to get some idea.

So Simona wants to be prostitute. I guess she thinks she can hook some rich guy but it never occurs to her that rich guys other than the Altamira's aren't likely to be walking around in the barrio. She is going to have to become much more upscale and since she is a dumb slut it isn't going to happen. Even Raq installing her in the apartment won't help. All set to betray her sister yet agin.

I do hope that Blanca has the sense not to meet up with Hugo with his surprise. Then again if Ivan's men are there to kill Blanca they might miss and get Simona who wouldn't be missed by anybody.

I hope Adriano gets released and gets to the manicomio before Raq visits or the doc gives poor Val more drugs.Time for her to get out and be safe.

If we were recapping this tn, how appropriate, Decie, for the title of last night's episode to be Night of a Thousand Disguises (but none which completely disguised Blanca as being anyone else but Blanca).

I did a double take then a loud guffaw when Simona tried to talk Rafa into being her "first" client, so to speak. Isn't this deja vu, all over again? Didn't she try to get pregnant using him as a stud to fool Jorge? I seem to recall it didn't work then, what made her think it would work this time.

Why would we think Blanca wouldn't keep a date with Hugito? It's tn law for a dumb protagonist to do the wrong thing. My hope is that at least she takes Sal with her. Maybe if she stays in reporter mode, Raquel will be momentarily confused.

April, what Mexicans and we who have seen enough tns, refer to country people who have dark skin, wear traditional peasant clothing and sport long, thick, black braids, Indios. Blanca smudged up her face and put a shawl over her head to add to the realism of her disguise. It was shoddy, IMHO. Did she think Ramon wouldn't open the door for anyone else but a beggar lady?


 

I still HATE Blanca and scream at the TV every time she shows. Just looking at her makes me sick. She makes Ramon out to be the bad guy and she a savior. Ramon was the one that convinced Cat to collect the documents from her own fathers office but the twit just couldn't wait. Hell all they would have had to do it after Clemente left is Cat say the documents are real because she found them and not get anyone else involved. This is another lets kick and take advantage of the orphan from a girl that still goes googly eyed every time Ed's name is mentioned. I'll turn her in for the million.

I don't think Blanca is trying to make herself the hero in the take down. By doing what she did she removes both Ramon and Cat from the equation, keeping them off Raq's firing line and inadvertently probably saving their relationship. By having Sal take the paper to Ed, Ed was the one who made the choice which is going to bring down Clemente and eventually Raq. She covered her track on that one,

Poor Simona she can't even give it away and she thinks she is going to be a high class ho. Yep she tried it with Rafa in one of the more embarrassing scenes ever. He finally agreed to do it but just than Karina and Jorge arrived.

The law of brainless protagonists does dictate that Blanca will go to see Hugo and thus set herself up to be caught. Both Sal and Domingo warned her to avoid having anything to do with Simona. Too bad they didn't just say avoid everyone in the barrio until this is over. Oh wait that's logical something that NEVER happens in Novelaland.

I do hope that either Blanca or Adriano gets some guard over to protect Val. I swear i can't stand the thought of another drug her to death scene with Raq and that vile pigfaced nurse and rapist doc.
 

It amazes me how much I can't stand Blanca. She has no redeeming qualities. When Salvador asked her if she felt sorry for betraying Raymon, she didn't feel an ounce of remorse. None. Just changed the subject. After he begged her, told her that he had nobody but Catalina. Doesn't Blanca recall how many people she put in danger and how many she fucked over because she wanted to keep the fantasy of her relationship with Eduardo going? What a bitch. I wish she was still getting tortured in the insane asylum, and it was Valentina how was exacting revenge.

She sure had that dumbass about-to-cry look on her face when she found out Eduardo was engaged.

I cannot fault Blanca for getting the papers in the hands of the authorities. Why should Cat's father escape trial just because he is Cat's father. He allowed another man to go to prison for something he did not do, covered it up. No..... He should not be allowed to escape. Romone is just blind to justice in that regard because he doesn't want his beloved to feel pain. I do however see it never being the same between Ramone and Blanca. You do not break into your friends house and steal documents, even if they are important, behind their back.

J n O. The story has moved on so it doesn't matter much anymore but when Rafa was trying to show everyone he was sorry (-con man of the year award) Blanca was very upset with him. He told Blanca to make up for whatever... that Roman had documents that could clear Adriano. Since Cat, Clemente and Ramon were the only ones that knew about them, Ramon must have told it. These people can't seem to keep their mouths shut, except when the authorities ,who should know, are present.

Everyone in this show keeps their mouth shut about things that would help others but blab to all and sundry about stuff that could get people killed.

I agree that friends don't break into friends houses but then again friends don't let innocent people be sent back to prison when they know and have proof of their innocence. Checkmate

Blanca gets on my nerves at times but several others having me wanting to reach through the screen and strangle them. Mother of the year Mariana, Jorge the wimp, Rafa the con man, Simona the slut, and the list goes on.

I find the relationship between Ivan and Sofia odd in the extreme. He doesn't seem the type to bother with the little girl, like Raq, and especially when he is using her as a bargaining chip to keep Mariana under his thumb. I guess we are supposed to either believe he is her father - I don't or that he has some good — don't believe that either.

This is kind of unusual for a novela that some people hate the protagonist so much. In most novelas that is reserved for the galan. LOL

 

I forgot to ask - Am I the only one who wonders WTH Blanca thinks she is doing going to the party as a reporter with Sal completely undisguised. Is she going to ask some loaded question about Val or Adriano? Because of course the Altamira's are all so stupid they won't recognize her appearance or voice?
 

Ramon was going to go to the authorities with the evidence but was going to wait until the next morning after Clemente left the country. That was the compromise between he and Cat. Despite the fact that Clemente's reputation will be gone (and the family name smeared, Cat's included) and all his misdeeds uncovered, Cat, though wanting to protect her father somewhat by letting him escape to NY, was still ok with Ramon using the information to prove Adriano's innocence. That had to be a hard decision for a child and get she didn't want him in prison (he should be) and she even it would be a death sentence because many of the prisoners he had put there. No one would have been the wiser had Ramon not opened his big mouth at Tita's and Rafa overheard. From Rafa to Blanca, then to Sal, Ed and Jorge.

The boys all have had whiffs of Raquel not being on the level and continue to give her softball questions and bury their heads in the sand.

Blanca doesn't give two cents for anything other than what she wants when she wants it. Adriano (for Blanca's sake) had Ramon's photos stolen and he took a beating at the beginning of the story because she would have been recognized as one of the subjects.

The skank Blanca even called Ramon and told a lie that something amiss knowing the kind of guy he was he would go running to Tita's to help a friend. This as she sat in the truck as her errand boy Sal stole documents Cat had taken from her fathers office. She is one of the top (right up there with Raquel, Mariana, Ivan) manipulators, opportunist, liars and will betray the trust of anyone to get her way. Did you notice when she and Sal made it into the gala and the tabloid reporter mentioned the impending marriage of Ed and Mariana she about knocked everybody over when she spun around. Don't love Ed my butt and Sal you are one humongous fool. Did I say I hate her? Well I do.
 

Yes, poor Sal is marching right into the lions den with nothing but a video camera and a ball cap. Obvious the girl playing dress up doesn't mind, she got her disguise on, to hell with Sal.

I agree most times it is the galan that gets hated on but our Ed is excused because he doesn't lie and try to deceive everyone he comes in contact with and is kinda like a stupid puppy. Who hates stupid puppies.
 

I'll be away for a week. Keep my spot warm. Will catch up when I get back. I'm not letting anyone down, well, at least not Adriano, not Val, not Sofia and not Sal. The rest of the characters can go to pot (although I, too, like Mariana trying the double-double-double cross).
 

I can't believe that Sal was so stupid as to not use a disguise. He used one in the truck caper and for go's sake he is supposed to have been a good cop. Can't believe Domingo didn't think of it either.

I didn't see Blanca knock over or almost anyone when the reporter mentioned the marriage. She just turned around and looked surprised.

I'm wondering if once Clemente gets hauled in he will turn on Raqhell? Cat may do it if she thinks she can get a deal to keep her disgraced father out of Raq's prison. In any event i hope so if for no other reason then that the Altamira boys will get yet another hint of evil they will find harder to ignore. Then again they are the Altamirs's.
 

Nailing Clemente to the wall first (right now only evidence is that he falsified the coroners report to convict Adriano and nothing about Raquel though it now would point to her as Memos killer) is so the whole relationship will begin to unravel and it's possible before he can sing Raquel will have him whacked or try. What I don't get is the boys know how close their mother and Clemente is (the gala is at her house and she has provided financial and personal contact support) and if he is dirty why not mother.
 

I know it's wishful thinking but I was hoping they'd kill Blanca, or get a good bullet shot through her arm. Anything! Because I was feeling downright awful for Ramon.

Hey, is Clemente going to chicken out at the declaration? I don't fully trust him to grow a spine all of a sudden. Experience has taught us that he's all bark and no bite. Wouldn't have it been better to end that scene with him pointing the finger at Raquel?

Why can't Catalina just listen to her voicemail, and understand the desperation in Ramon's voice when he tried to warn her about Blanca's betrayal? She should have more faith in her man.

All will be for naught if Clemente freezes up on the stand. Then all Blanca accomplished was being a treacherous bitch, and ruining Ramon and Catalina's union.

I don't think Blanca can be blamed for the Ramon Cat break up. Do I like what she did no but what kind of relationship do you have when one person forces another to go against their better instincts and that is what Cat did?

Ramon is a wimp and I'm bored with his never ending whining about being an orphan and alone except for Cat. Adriano looked out for him in prison and then asked him to help find proof of his innocence. Ramon and Cat did and then sat on the papers for months. How Ramon who knows what it is like to be framed and to endure prison hell could just ignore it and let Adriano be sent back because Cat whined about not wanting her father to be disgraced is beyond me. And what they were both eventually planning to do is also breaking the law aiding and abetting.

I found it interesting that Ed gets the papers, knows that Clemente is considered a member of the family and a long time friend immediately makes the right decision.

Laughed my head off when Blanca raised her glass as a salute to Raq when the arrest went down. Left the witch jabbering about Blanca being there and sent Ed rushing outside to check.

Poor Mariana hoping for a Kimye wedding with a media splash and Ed can hardly bring himself to touch her.

Simona a new low in sisterhood. Smirking at ivan and his men while they trail her to the betrayal address. Thank God Blanca didn't use the apartment. I wonder if Simona bought the story that Raq killed Memo and framed Adriano. With her and Rafa you can never tell.

I guess Raq is so busy plotting to have Mariana and Blanca killed and worrying about Clemente that she seems to have forgotten that Val is awake. I do wish someone would put a guard around the woman.

There are always little things dropped in during an episode that make me wonder if I should bother to remember them or not. Last night it was Mariana telling Rafa about some woman who manages Ivan's money. Passed on to Blanca and Co that could be her way of getting Adriano's money back and perhaps even a bit more.

We all caught the court jester outfit and wonder when it will appear. Perhaps to get Val out of the manicomio, perhaps at Ed's wedding, perhaps on Blanca for grand fin wedding at the end since nothing could be worse that the drapes she wore at the wedding interruptus.

Noticed that concluding chapters are on the way so it must be 120 and I think last night was number 95. Armageddon is on its way.
 

As usual the orphan gets the short end of the stick, again.
 

Ramon is full of self pity. Adriano was an orphan, went out and made something of himself. Ramon did have his little art show which Adriano ruined but since then he really hasn't done much of anything. Ramon needs to grow a spine but I think we are destined to hear him on his orphan spiel until the truth of the real son comes out. For a novela that is not overly heavy handed they just keep slamming us on the head with this one.

I wonder why this week we started getting flashes of the previous night;s show? Dragging it out, filling up space?
 

More focus should have been paid to the big bad wolf, Ivan. Ivan makes Clemente look like a small fry and he even looks like he will check those boys.

Mariana said Ivan's accountant Juana is the most trustworthy and really tougher than Ivan and do think that is important. The second stage of Blanca's master plan was to go after the money.

Blanca did one clever thing I thought and that was to give a scoop to the tabloid press. Much more could be done there.

Finally someone mentioned Diego and though it was Raquel hope he comes back.

Ramon does seem wimpy crying into a bottle. At least this time he is dumped it wasn't for another guy.

I don't understand why Blanca and Sal haven't gone directly to Cat. All of them want the same thing and that is Raquel's head. I still think the Clemente information could have been disclosed in a more beneficial way and it obvious Blanca never thought that Ivan would threaten Clemente nor care if Raquel went after Ramon or Cat.

I like the TN but have no use for Blanca though the whole thing about her. What I can't decide, is it the character or the actress that flat turns me off. I'll never waste my time watching another TN with Lisette in it so perhaps that's my answer.
 

I was doing my PT this morning and came up with some observations.

Why is Clemente back on the street if he has been accused of a crime? Ramon, Adriano and Blanca were accused, stripped and thrown into cells immediately. Clemente is out and even when he was in prison talking to Adriano he was in a business suit while Adriano was back in jailhouse orange. If Clemente was going to leave town after the party how come all his stuff is still in his office.

Am I the only one who laughed when ivan started lecturing the Altamira boys about having respect for their mother when Ed was pushing her for answers? I half expected Ivan to order him to go to his room with no coffee.

Isn't it interesting that the cop who a few episodes ago was hosing down Adriano and accusing him of crimes is now almost treating him like an honored guest.

For those who think Ivan is Sofia's father why hasn't Mariana spoken up when he was using the girl as part of the gun running thing and threatened her.


 

I betcha that was a red herring and that Sofia really is Ed's.

Can't wait to see who they bring in as Ivan's money manager, "Juana"...

I am feeling sorry for Clemente, he says he is not afraid to incriminate Raq, despite the threats from Ivan's goons to keep his mouth shut. But, Clemente is known for wiffle-waffling.

Blanca's character has gone over the line once too often this last week: leaving Val to die in the street, stealing the evidence from Ramon and sending him on that fake emergency visit to Dona Tita's. That was just scumbag.

Blanca is just way to impulsive. They had gold in the information Cat took from Clemente's office and if they would have reached out to Diego he and Cat could have convinced Clemente to turn on Raquel. He could have told all to the police, let them build a case and collect additional evidence (perhaps even given him a deal to serve some time) and spring Adriano. Instead Ivan has already threatened Clemente and even if he talks on the stand will not be around for a trial to bring Raquel to justice. Blanca just wanted everyone to have the illusion she was this believer and fighter for justice and try to repair the damage she did when she turned on Adriano and curled up at the feet of Raquel. Nothing has changed for Adriano and he is still wearing an orange suit as Blanca plays dress up and mopes about Ed while telling Sal she ain't in love to keep him underfoot. Clemente's doings will be neutralized, confined to just him or he will buckle to Ivan's threat of death (or Ivan can go after Diego and Cat) and Raquel come out smelling like a rose.
 

Actually I don't think we have enough time left for Clemente to waffle too much. He said something about wanting his kids to be proud of him and standing up to Raq is the only way he can do it. Cat knows he is guilty but i'm not sure that Diego is in the loop. I thought from the beginning that Cat and Clemente should have gone to the police and worked a deal. He is after all the governor and has connections. In letting so many months go by the lost the upper hand that they had.

I don't think Bianca cares what anybody thinks she just wants Raq taken down. In the beginning she was single minded about it then fell under Ed's spell and lost herself. Now that single mindedness is back.

I neither like her or dislike her but i do understand her. There are a few other people to like and a boatload to hate so there is something for all of us.LOL
 

True others to like and hate because I like Mariana, love the way she operates and care not one bit she whacks people for Ivan. I think she is weak wanting Ed and should just pack her bag, leave town and live a happy life. If she loves Sofia then take her with her and forget all the Altamira drama.

If Adriano had it to do over again he should make a deal with Mariana and this whole thing would already be wrapped up, and he, the son and Val would be in NY laughing about the clowns back in Raquelville.

I'm on the fence about Adriano and he should have stood by his gut when he pulled Blanca off and wanted to replace her with another Victoria that was a professional and would know the difference between business and lust for a rich guy. Adriano since has been a bumbling boob and very hard for me to believe he made millions.

I liked Ramon until he ran his mouth about the evidence at Tita's and now started his boo hoo last night over Cat leaving. I hope he doesn't do something stupid in an effort to win Cat back. In the real world that girl would be gone. No, I take that back they would never have hooked up in the first place.

I like Cat and understand why she is protective of her father but not blind and did put pressure on him to come clean. She and Mariana don't seem to be afraid of Raquel and unlike Blanca who has a flock of groupies covering for her and lying, stand there in front of Raquel with no back up. I wish Adriano and Cat would have talked early on with no Ramon or Blanca or Ed filter.

I think Clemente is going to point the finger at Ivan as his accomplice, and he was telling Raquel he was sorry because he is about to ruin her wedding plans. He will use the two police guard threats as part of his testimony, and will ask for federal protection, because Ivan has corrupted so many in the local force. With Ivan in custody, it will make it easier for Blanca (with Raf's help) to accomplish phase 2 of the plan and swindle his money.
 

Stan, I hope Clemente lives long enough to testify. The corrupt cops seem like they are operating with a free hand, even visiting him at home. It also sounds like Clemente has been the source of all Raquel's power over the years, so maybe this is not the first dirty deal he has been involved in.

I for one am disappointed that Cat had so little faith in Ramon not to listen to his explanation.

I want Ramon and Cat to work it out and be together however all Ramon had to do was keep his mouth shut and he didn't. I don't blame Cat for breaking it off because he violated the trust between them. Lying, cheating and betraying seems to be the MO of almost everyone in the TN so it does seem out of place when Cat has a boundary. Cat loved Ramon and was willing to use the information she found in her fathers office and she is not blind to the fact her father is not a good man. Plus with her father's reputation soiled because of his misdeeds so too is hers and she still was willing to go through with it for Ramon and Adriano. All she wanted in return was one day for him to leave town. Makes me angry at Ramon blaming Blanca for his big mouth and I'm no fan of Blanca.

He was talking to Tita and Karina and told he had evidence that would exonerate Adriano. Rafa overheard and Rafa told Blanca. Blanca went to Ramon and asked to use it for her master plan. He said they would use it to free Adriano but was going to wait till the morning after the Clemente gala. Ramon and Cat discussed because she wanted Clemente to stay out of prison (imagine most daughters would want that) and suggested he flee to NY after the gala.
 

He should have fled in the beginning.

I'm remembering that when Blanca talked about her master plan she said in order to beat Raqhell she had to be worse than her. That might account for her betraying Ramon.

In LP Gabriela made the same vow and she really sunk low, causing people to commit suicide as well as other things in her drive for revenge, To be fair she had a lot more time to accomplish her ends and many more enemies. As she went about her business her friends and family worried that it was changing her into Antonia and she came to regret it.

Blanca on the other hand has one really awful enemy - Raq and the minor to her Ivan. There is also considerably less time for her to pull off dirty deeds but I do think deep down she will regret some of the things she may do.

Since we have no new episode on Monday I think that tomorrow morning I am going to post my Armageddon list and I've thought up some doozies. Have a safe and fun Memorial Day and remember all who sacrificed for us.
 

Even Sal has asked Blanca multiple times about betraying Ramon and she just brushes it off as nothing while he is bothered by it. Blanca is not the only person Raquel had wronged and it has not been long since the two were peas in a pod planning that wedding. Blanca is on easy street with Socorro conveniently leaving her a nice place, Domingo showing up with an outfit an hour, plenty of cash in US dollars, Karina & Tita watching Hugo, Adriano thinking she is the bees knees, Ed orbiting and a personal bodyguard/gofer in Sal. She got a regular posse. I was looking forward to a pissed, locked and loaded Val to do all this take down but that went out the window as Blanca sped off with gofer boy as Val lay bleeding on the street. See ya
