Here's your page, folks!  Enjoy!

I'll tell you guys what, I'm going to miss that broad Mariana. I am most likely in the minority, but that girl really grew on me. She had spunk, she was conniving, and even though she went around killing people, I always liked her personality.

I will admit that the whole time during the hospital scene with Mariana and either Eduardo, or Cristobal, I kept screaming "Will you just @#$%&! tell them that Raquel shot you already?! For the love of God, this is the perfect opportunity, just say it! Tell them she shot you. Tell them she paid you to kill Clemente! Tell them you always knew you were wearing too much makeup, and don't let Sofia inherit your MAC cosmetics!" I mean, she's wasting time here. If she knows she's going to kick the bucket, then write out a confession or something. It was driving me into Valentina status.

I'm rocking myself back and forth right now at the absurdity of it all.

By the way, is anybody into K-dramas? I've been watching this one called Dr. Stranger, and it's good. I saw a dead body that they had operated on, who had more acting chops than Lisette Morelos.

Theme songs

Chris to Mariana: "If I can't have you, I don't want nobody baby."

Raq to Chris: "Don't rock the boat baby, don't tip the boat over."

Simona: "Money makes the world go around."

Adriano (unchained melody) "Come my love, my darling, I hungered for your touch a long lonely time. Time goes by so slowly and time can do so much. Are you still mine?

Val to Adriano: (I will survive) At first I was afraid I was petrified. Kept thinking I could never live without you by my side. But then I spent so many nights thinking how you did me wrong And I grew strong And I learned how to get along. And so you're back from outer space...

Ed: My mama done tol' me When I was a little. My mama done told me, son A woman will sweet talk
And give you the big eye. But when that sweet talk is done A woman's a two faced A woman's something that would leave you singing the blues in the night.

Blanca (Meniroso Enrique Iglesias): I am not that one
who you were imagining. I am not that one who offered the world to you. In whom you blindly trusted
The [woman] of your dreams, that's not me. If sometime
looking you in the eyes I stole from you a piece of hope
I swear to you today, I didn't mean to hurt you... I know that I have lied to you Tt be here at your side...

Thelma, I've watched, along with some of my friends, K-dramas for years and you are right the acting as well as the story lines better. Got hung up in the historical dramas and the costuming. I travel to asia frequently and no matter the country there is always a TV station playing them with dubs or subtitles. I maintain the best job Lisette has done in La Impostora was when she was comatose after being shot.

I didn't want Mariana to die, I didn't want Mariana to go to the pen. Loved the bedside chat between she & Sofia. I'll miss superwoman too.

So Blanca is roping Karina in and expects that to be the magic bullet that will take Raquel down. Her track record with those foolish enough to go along with her "well thought out" schemes is not stellar. They are either dead or in hiding fearful of death or imprisonment.

Loved it when Raquel displayed a little tough love on Jorge. You wanna holiday then work and save up.

I swear Sebastián Zurita and Lisette both went to the hang dog acting school

Okay that girl that plays Sofia can act circles around Lisette Morelos--Her little voice was throbbing with emotion as she visited Mariana in the hospital.
That whole exchange was heart-wrenching. I 've always preferred Mariana's character to Blanca's; yes she killed a bunch of folks but what can I say?
J in O

I'm not missing Mariana who I found to be cold and amoral, abandoning an infant to swan off , then killing someone while casually chatting with her child. I'm not sure she really suddenly had a change of heart when it came to Sofia but for the child's sake i'm glad they ad that little chat about how she regretted doing all the bad things she did.
One thing that could be said for her she was a worthy opponent for Raq, just as much of a schemer something neither Adriano or Blanca are try as they might.

I too was screaming at Idiot Ed to call in the cops since Mariana said she wanted to confess. Even when she said Blanca was innocent of everything and it was Raq he still didn't seem to get it.

So Blanca once again says she can't have nothing to do with an Altamira. It still seems like foreshadowing to me that Ed is the son. I know everyone is buying into Chris but I think Raq is still playing games and has tossed him under the bus since she has always had such contempt for him. Time will tell.

J what is the last thing you remember before you went on vacay and i'll try to fill in som of the blanks.

I wonder if Mariana would have survived if they had called the ambulance immediately instead of standing around like a bunch of lumps. LOL.

I agree, Thelma! I wish she had just confessed EVERYTHING!

I'm glad Adriano told Chris that he slept with Raq. It will be less traumatic for Chris when he finds out he is Raq's son.

So Ed and Jorge will end up with each having cousin and and all three boys will have a half brother.

Let's be honest have any of us ever seen a novela where someone immediately called for help when their was an accident, a shooting, a heart attack? Nope everyone just stands around wringing their hands and begging the victim not to die.

And in this case Chris also shushed the victim when the victim was trying to tell him who shot her!

In his heart Chris knows and has always been more aware of what Raq might be. Ed drifts though life in love everybody haze while Jorge swing from side to side depending on who is doing the talking. Of all of them the final revelations will hit him the hardest.

Wasn't it a hoot when Jorge asked for money so he could go on holiday like Chris did so he could sort things out and Raquel told him he is lazy and didn't work so why did he need a rest. Mama had no sympathy.

JnO, what was the last thing you remembered? I'm trying to recall what went down the last two weeks and drawing a blank.

Wondering if Melania will get out of the house with Raquel's gun and at least she was smart enough not to put her paws on it.

The gun wouldn't necessarily need Raquel's fingerprints. They have those ballistic tests:

"All firearms leave markings on the cartridge cases they expel when fired.1 Ballistic identification and microstamping laws make it possible to link cartridge cases recovered at crime scenes to the firearm that fired them. Comprehensive ballistic identification systems (sometimes called ballistic “fingerprinting”) require gun manufacturers to test-fire the firearms they produce and store images of the ballistic markings left on cartridge cases in a database so that law enforcement can later determine whether a particular gun fired a particular cartridge. Microstamping is a newer technology that utilizes lasers to make precise, microscopic engravings on the internal mechanisms of a semiautomatic pistol, such as the breech face and firing pin. When the gun is fired, a unique alpha-numeric code identifying the gun’s make, model and serial number is stamped on to the cartridge."

So, if the gun is registered to Raquel or even if Melania testified she took the gun from Raquel's bedroom, then it could be proven that her gun was used to shoot Mariana.

Decie, Tofie:
Thanks for the catch-up offer!
When I left, let's see...Blanca had kissed Sal but with an icky look on her face; Raq had just poisoned Ivan but we weren't sure if Ivan was dead; Ramon was stumbling around drunkenly, begging Cata to come back; Val still comatose in psych hosp after being shot but hadn't been onscreen in a week or so; Blanca had told Ed that his mother was behind the attempt on Val's life.
So, all of a sudden Rafa fell in love with Simona? And Simona is dead?
J in O

Lets see. JnO

Ivan wasn't dead but Raquel had Mariana put two more bullets in him and taped Mariana shooting. Mariana told Simona she had a client for her at a hotel then drugged her so they could put Ivan's corpse in the room. Simona called Rafa for help when she came out of her stupor and they took the body and buried it but Raquel again filmed that and that film was used to threaten Blanca to take Hugo, Simona and leave town because Ed was still hung up on her. Right before leaving Blanca and Ed had a night of passion at their old lake love shack. Blanca told Sal she slept with Ed and he was butthurt but went with she, Simona and Hugo anyway happy as a pig in shit to finally have her to himself and Sal gave Raquel's goons that were following the slip.

With Ivans death Raquel took control of his business and formed an alliance of sorts with Mariana, wanting her to be her muscle and use the contacts she knew to facilitate the take over.

Diego was so depressed and humiliated he killed himself and Cat found comfort with Chris but didn't sleep with him and continued to keep Ramon at arms length even as Clemente decided to provide evidence against Raquel because his son was now dead. Clemente was killed by Mariana on order of Raquel after finding out Clemente was going to turn her in to the popo but he had already to Adriano a few things but no evidence. Chris told Raquel that Clemente was gonna sing, who was told by Cat in confidence she thought. After Clemente died Ramon gave a few impassioned pleas and they now have reconciled.

Adriano and Raquel had a few telling conversations about their night of passion right in front of Val who was still in a catatonic state but now at the house because Ed went and got her from the hospital.

Hugo & Sofia text and a few calls from their hide out and Raquel finds out where they are (Mariana too) and Raquel sends goons to burn the house down while Blanca had gone to the store for a pregnancy test. When she returned, the house aflame and broke open the door a badly burned Sal made her leave in the car afraid to be arrested because Blanca was on the lam and both believed Hugo & Simona died (we did too). They didn't because at the last minute Mariana had saved them but Sal died in the car outside the hospital and Blanca ran and took refuge in a church and passed out and woke up in a convent.

Wow Tofie I don't know how you remember all this stuff but I am glad you did. Now I understand more what was happening on Monday night. Does Rafa still think Simona is dead? Is he reformed? Last i recall he was helping Blanca with something. I was confused about seeing Blanca in the nun outfit but now it makes sense.
:o)
Thanks again!
J in O

I think Rafa doesn't know Simona is still alive yet and he only recently realized he fell for her and told Karina & Tita. He is reformed or he just doesn't want to do bad anymore and when he helped Simona get Ivans body out of the hotel and dragged it in a field and he buried it put the icing on the reform cake. Adriano had asked for his help to infiltrate Raquel's cabal and he went to Mariana for entry but it went nowhere. The nuns found the unopened pregnancy test and assumed her preggers and wanted to hide her knowing she was wanted so gave her that unstarched habit.

J

Raq really got milege out of her taping, blackmailing Blanca to get put of town, then using the tqpe of Rafa and Simona burying Ivan to get Katrina to break up with Jorge since she didn't want someone in her famiy who had a relative who was a murderer (best laugh of the entire story)) and she then blackmailed Mariana with pictures of her shooting Ivan to find out where Blanca had gone.

Mariana found out that Sofia had been chatting with Hugo, checked the computer and found out where they were and pased on the message to Raq. Even Mariana couldn't stand by and see a child killed and went off to save them. Meanwhile Rafa had gone to her place found her missing and went to Adriano telling him Raq knew where Blanca was. Adriano called Blanca while she was getting her test and told her to get her family and get out ASAP and she drove back and found the house in flame.

Rafa and the barrio gang except for Katrin have no idea that Blanca and Co are alive. For my taste too many people know she is alive and that includes Sofia which means it won't be long before she and Hugo have another chat and Raq finds out.

I'm still not liking Chris as the son because he seems to still be loyal to Raq and he has done nothing to get his mother out of the house and back with Adriano.

There is no getting past the idea that Raq is a sadist with her treatment of Val and taunting her about Adriano while never admitting it was a one night stand.. With less than 10 episodes to go I want Val to get up, get out and get in some good licks on that rotten beyoch.

Thanks Decie! Wow, I missed alot during those two weeks; I'm disappointed they re-killed Ivan before he had a chance for revenge of Raq. Also disappointed that Val has not figured more prominently in the plot but has been merely a catalyst for Adriano's actions.

Now I see that Melania is standing up to Raq but I recall Melania also prepared the poison draft for Ivan...don't think that bodes well for he

J in O

1261Oops..."don't think that bodes well for her".
J in O

JnO. Melania spoke with Adriano and she realized after visiting her daughter in the pen that her daughter was framed and spent 20 years and she had turned her back on her own child.

"re-killed Ivan"

Haha!! Thanks for the laugh. That just struck me as really funny.

I love that NO ONE can know that Blanca is alive, yet Ed, Adriano, Karina, Ramon, Catalina and Sofia know. That seems like a lot of people.

I was only half paying attention last night...can someone fill me in on Blanca's instructions to Ramon and Catalina?

Sara, It was primarily Adriano but they want Cat to find more information that her father may have on the Juan Carlos murder and other cover up to prove to all the boys Raquel ain't sweet. Cat believes she knows where every thing is kept at a government office but believes she has contacts that will get her in.

Raquel - Paranoia becomes you

Melania - let go or soon to be terminated?

Blanca - so there is a product of that last union

Sofia - wow, if grandma's looks could kill you'd be dead

Ed - you're wrong bout mama but ain't here for that, did you and Sal....uh, you know, do the deed

Cat - like Blanca is in charge and uncovered anything, p...lease

Chris - one foot in, one foot out, decide

Adriano - hope you can reign her in but Blanca goes for the big bang since it gets more attention

Karina - for the life of me can't think of any reason to do something for you

Thanks, tofie.

I think J in O is correct that Melania will have to pay for mixing the poison and for being complicit in many of Raq's crimes. It would be interesting if the suspicious demise of Melania FINALLY opened the boys' eyes. They seemed very sad to see her go last night.

I just don't know what will finally do it for the boys. Chris is up to something, Jorge is totally clueless and just wants the checks to keep coming so he can play artist and marry Karina and I think the only thing that will turn Ed around is Raquel waving a gun shooting right at Blanca screamin I'm gonna get you sucka.

Really what difference will it matter if the boys believe or not if Cat can dig up something he father has (this could have happened long ago if Blanca hadn't pulled the trigger prematurely)

Melania not only mixed up the poison, she was the writer of one of the Blanca letters, she also was very complicit in the prison murder by giving Mariana the dress and Blanca's things and saving the bloody dress. She has to pay and knowing Raq with her traitor fetish it will probably be death.

I also think that there is something in juan Carlos' letters that might open the boys eyes but with them who knows. I still dislike Chris and find it hard to believe or accept that he is Val's. He seems so much like Raq. Perhaps it's the old nature versus nurture thing because God knows the other two have none of Raq's traits.

Jorge is useless in the brains department and Ed who is supposed to be a business genius reminds me of a kid who doesn't want to believe that Santa Claus doesn't exist. In Ed's case despite all the circumstantial evidence and the number of people who have told him that his mother is evil incarnate he just refuses to accept it or even acknowledge it might be true.

cant these idiots open their eyes to what the mother is doing? chris knows and yet doesnt..what?
i wish mariana had not gotten killed, wanted to see her and raq in jail killing each other.
mariana should of shouted that raq killed her, but no...just insane, but getting good every day..:-)

I've really only watched the first two months and now the ultimas semanas and the three stooges are just as dumb as they were in the beginning. Mariana and Rafa have shown the most change to me. OK maybe not Mariana's propensity for killing, but she warmed up to Sofia.

The Mariana/Sofia exchange was a tearjerker. Mariana didn't expect redemption but freely admitted she missed out on a life changing relationship with Sofia and Sofia taught her she could love. She referenced non existent relationships with her own parents so had no point of reference. She should pay for what she did and she accepted it but I miss her anyway.

Juan Carlos' letter alludes to only one Altamira boy being his son. Which leads me to believe that a couple of us are of the same mindset regarding the final DNA results.

Aren't the conclusive DNA papers supposed to come within a month? Adriano specifically said that they would get a report stating whether he's definitely the father. I think that's the final twist that will spin the story in the right direction. He said this to Cristobal at the hospital after they had just had a blood test done.

@Tofie- I completely agree with you. This K-drama is the first I'm watching and now I'm looking forward to getting into more of them. They're riveting. I wish the girls would dress more sexy, but otherwise, the acting skills are superb.

Thelma, the genre is varied with K-dramas, usually don't last as long, agree acting much better and they don't give you the look and feel of a soap. I watch on Hulu. In southeast asia particularly most know all the actors, pop stars and you see the teens & 20 somethings donning the hairdos. I also used to watch Thai Lakorns but they are very similar to TN's.

We were right!

I hate the two son story, in my mind it cheapens the whole story and looks like a cop out. Very disappointed in the writers. It also make no sense. If Raq already had Adriano's son why would she bother to take in Val's and his. Dumping him in an orphanageor for that matter killing him would be more her style. It also raises the question did Leo, Memo and the Padre and everyone else she offed to keep the ecret know there were two sons?

Ed is an idiot, it is obviously going to take a load of bricks to fall on his head to finally get the message that everyone is telling him - his mother or so he think is a stone cold killer. The way he lashes out at Blanca is too much. Maybe he should just take Sofia and go to Spain and get out of everyone else's life.

So two sons - is Ed Val's? Iso poor Chris is destined to get the short end of the stick again.

Raq wastes no time in getting revenge sending a message to make Letty's life hell to punish Melania.

Chris know what Raq is but I wonder when push comes to shove if he will stand with her or against her?

Couldn't believe Ramon and Cat slipping into the governors office to go through the old files and taking time for a personal conversation. Mark these two down as idiots.

So Simona finally managed to give it away.

And she gave it away for free!

Sara--very funny! You are so right, after months of trying to make her fortune selling herself! There has been no comic relief in this TN but Simona was so outrageous, she came close.
J in O

Anita is back to join in the end of LI fun and games. Need to catch up with all of this week's comments, but I'm up to date with watching. Yeah, the top TN cliché: Blanca wants to raise her bebe alone, no need for a daddy. Who better than Karina to tell her secret to. Jorge, Tita and Rafa will be the first to know.

Yeah, Karina is not one to keep her mouth shut.

I mean to ask: Does anyone else think Simona is just "meh" on Rafa. Yeah, she gave away the milk, but I feel like she's hoping for a better farmer.

Sara

Back when she didn't have her boobs she was all over Rafa as the love of her life. Then we had that really uncomfortable scene between them when she wanted him to get her pregnant while she was lying to Jorge she seemed more into him than she did the last couple of days. Rafa has had his time with the ricos, learned his lesson and is ready to stay in the barrio while Simona is still looking for the good life.

Considering how Ed has talked to her lately and his refusal to open his eyes about Raq I don't blame Blanca for wanting to raise her child alone. She has a lot of support and money and the last thing she needs is Abuela Raq scheming and plotting to take the baby.

Blanca remains true to her original vow that she will never have anything to do with the son of the woman who killed her father. OK she has ignored that for most of the story but more than ever now she is growing a spine when it comes to him.

Sara, I too didn't think Simona seems like her world had been rocked, more like ok got that over, next.

It still pisses me off when Blanca checks people off like she is the driver of this bus. I just wanted to slap her smug look when she circled Chris in red, just as she raised her glass to Raquel when the popo nabbed Clemente. Again it was Cat that gathered the information.

I thought it was two sons but thought Ed was Adriano's & Raquel's and why he was the favorite but now it could be Raquel's twisted mind that made her lavish her attention on her sisters child and kicked Chris, the constant reminder of her union with Adriano.

Thanks for the info, Decie!

We had a weekend discussion about kids being asked to keep secrets so what does Blanca do but tell Hugo not to chat with Sofia, but she didn't tell him that Raq would kill them if she found out they were alive. If you have to tell a child a secret at least tell them why it is a secret.

She speaks!

I think last night had award winning ridiculeces. Raq fell for that crappy disguise and... What language were Blanca and Lee Leya supposedly speaking.

Ed's mental hamster wheel is a little rusty, but it's starting to turn.

And oh my word Karina won't shut up!

I kept trying to catch some of the phrases used and if I had not heard both she is Korean & she is Japanese before when Mariana & Raquel spoke of Li Lei I would have said Japanese. I've been to both countries many times and don't understand a word.

Ed - Red Rover, Red Rover let Edwardo come over

Jorge - now where am I gonna get cash

Blanca - just wear a paper bag over your head next time, it'll be more convincing

Adriano - is it Sal's? come on

Hugo - jezz, kids and texting

Simona - right, it's the new knockers

Raquel - boohoo nobody loves me

Lupita - party at Lupita's when I get out

Karina - glad you told on her

Chris - she'll tell Ed to watch it but mum to you

Would someone please cut open Ed's head and insert a brain. With all the things his brothers are telling him, with all the things Blanca told him, with what little he has seen he STILL believes that Raq couldn't be what the evidence says she is. I get family loyalty, I was raised with it, but for the love of all that's holy it is time to face facts.

OK I'm not big on punishing kids but Hugo has been told repeatedly that he is not to tell anyone they are alive. First time he gets his hands on a computer he is blabbing to Sofia. The child needs to be cut off from all devices and given a lengthy time out like maybe for the 6 episodes that are left.

Sofia promise she won't say anything and we all know how that goes.

Katrina blabs - oh what a surprise. Frankly it is neither her or Adriano's business if Blanca refuses to reveal her pregnancy. She is obviously in her first trimester when most women keep quiet and considering the stress she is under their nagging at her that Ed has to know is out of line. Yes, I get that Adriano doesn't want the past to recur (and especially if he knew it is his grandchild) but it is time to leave Blanca alone until she finishes the job of getting Raq off the streets.

Obviously Blanca and the Asian girl were babbling in a fake language which was preferable to Blanca trying to pass herself off as an Asian. There aren't enough wigs and make up to pull that one off.

So Jorge is now impersonating a police officer and on the trail of who killed Ivan and buried him. Hilarious. I wonder what the pharmacist told him about the meds that are being pushed on Val.

Decie I was laughing at Jorge playing cop too, so maybe that is what he wants to be today.

So now the thing is almost over and they start to give Karina screen time I could do without.

Ed is the absolute boniest of bone heads and Sara pegged it because you can see the little wheel turning in his head but when it starts to make him dizzy he lashes out.

Raquel continues to look pretty calm though, as folks pack and go.

I continue to be baffled why they cast Lisette and guess if this TN returned good ratings she'll get other work. How in the world someone would up and say, wow that's our Blanca, as she dozed in her chair. No wait a minute, she wasn't really asleep.

I kept telling you that the Hugo kid is a liability. I wish he was never written into the story. He needs a whooping.

But what gets me about this particular episode is that Blanca kept insisting that Raquel would ask a bunch of questions to the Korean big boss to confirm that she truly is the real deal. That's why Blanca wanted to be at the table, right? In the end, Raquel just said, "Hey, I can get a shipment done for you, you in?" Korean Lady: "yeah, sure. Let's do it Monday".

There was no need for Blanca to be there. And yeah, I wouldn't trust Karina with the slightest detail of a surprise party. What a crappy friend.

Decie, tofie and Thelma--I love reading your comments they never fail to make me laugh (and I usually scare the cats with my guffaws.) I look forward to your hilarious commentaries on what I've seen.

Sara

Here's a laugh for you. We don't get the Lisette casting but I read she is the highest paid actress in the world. She must be a lot smarter and alert than she looks. Consiering the way plucky Val has been put in a catatonic state perhaps they should have switched the casting. Lisette would be a shoo in for an award for that performance.

Simona doesn't seem that all thrilled about Rafa's sudden interest in her and attributes it all to her new boobs. I though that is why she wanted them in the first place. She may have increased her bra size but her IQ remains the same.

Ed---Mariana told you on her death bed that it was Raq who planned all the evil and killed Ivan. That is pretty good testimony...like... death bed, why would she lie? Then your brothers tell you and you are worried about a red ring around Cristobals neck on a computer screen? ! ? Whoever said hamster wheel was giving you more credit than you are earning.

I wish Lisette would stop the head tilt. I love the idea of casting her as Val and Val as the Blanca character.

Simona...I think I will wait and see. Writers do not have too much more to work with on your character. Maybe you will see that love is better than money.

Ist the final episode tonight? Are there more episodes?

April

I first saw Lisette Morelos as a secondary character in "Aurora". She played a spoiled brat that flirted with a guy just out of prison, it was really HOT and carried the show while the lead character, played by Sara Maldonado, was all the dud that LI's Blanca is, worse, she finished out the show as a heart transplanted into another character.

for me, Blanca being the way she is, just fits so well with all of the craziness of this story, I really enjoy watching her stumbling around, (like when she was escaping the manicomio in a fat suit).

yes, deb, the fat suit and I expected someone else to waddle up in one of those sumo wrestler costumes and take her on in the street.

April

Counting tonight there are 6 episodes to go and let's face a lot of story lines to wrap up and anvils to fall. Now that I think about it thanks to all her plotting and scheming Raq is the only evil one left. Really can't count her obedient henchmen and the corrupt critters at the prison and manicomio. I guess mini anvils are also due all the boys who have been living in a dreamworld all their lives.

I blame Hugo for Rafael's death.

^ I needed to get that out.

Too bad about Rafael dying, especially because it's so late in the game that it feels like killing Rafael at this point is an afterthought. When he got a hold of the screwdriver, I was optimistic that he was going to survive somehow. Fortunately, he had the presence of mind to take Raquel's ring, and write a note in case he was killed. You know, honestly I feel bad for his mom Tita. That's my mom's name too :(

Karina is just too dumb for words. She and nitwit Jorge deserve each other. She can't keep her big mouth shut, and just had to let it slip up, and confirm that Blanca was alive. When Raquel called her stupid for that omission, I was like "Please just shoot her now. It's the only way to keep her from turning to the cameras and telling the audience what happens on the last episode."

What's ridiculous is that she had time to call Rafael, and tell him that she and Tita were safe. But she couldn't have made the next phone call to the police, or at the very least to Blanca? They went all the way back to the restaurant, and had time to chit chat with Jorge. All they did was wring their hands and weep. Take some action! Your cousin just gave up his life for yours, and while it was honorable, I highly doubt that it was worth it. I was starting to like the idea of Rafael and Simona together.

I mean, who was going to have more street smarts in the future? Simona and Rafael's kid, or Karina and Jorge's lovechild? I know it's a tough one, y'all, but at least Rafael and Simona were resourceful.

I hate that get-up on Blanca. She's already wearing billowy dresses to hide the pregnancy.

Hey, I must admit, Christian Bach plays the role of a crazy bitch really well. When she was going cuckoo for cocoa puffs in front of her henchman, I thought she was going to shoot him too, just for good measure.

Thelma, I agree with your comments. Hugo is a clueless little idiot. When Blanca tells Simona to make sure he doesn't have access to the internet, he says, but I'm bored...and I want to email Sofia so she doesn't think I'm dead. But duh, he already DID that. Surely he is old enough to understand a simple concept like "our lives are in danger"?

Yes, Rafa acquitted himself well at the end, but when he took the screwdriver and hid it in his pants, I admit to thinking that his pants are so tight, how Raq not gonna see?

So now all the boys know their mother is a psychopath, why does Ed still not look convinced? Somebody give him WD-40 for his "hamster wheel".
J in O

I have NOTHING to add to the great comments for the week. Rafa's demise was a shocker, though. The writers do keep us biting our nails. I thought at first he would make it, a la Mariana, long enough to do some talking, but no, they had to bury him to make me believe it. I do feel sorry, a little, for Simona. Is her next bf going to be for love or for money.

I finally figured out what bothers me most about Lissette as Blanca. It isn't her wardrobe, although that's no. 2 on my list. The no. 1 thing is her stride/gait/dogtrot. While I have nothing against tomboys, being one myself, it just doesn't jive with the character she is supposed to be portraying, plucky femininity. No one else's walk seems out of kilter. Only hers. Ok, you forced me, no. 3 on the list is the bland, toneless delivery of her lines, regardless of the situation.

Raquel has been great in the last couple of episodes. I especially liked (because I hate her) her exchange with Sofia and giving her the new Barbi doll and suggesting she name it Raquel. Sorry, but who is going to believe that everything you did was for the love of your three boys. Everything you did was for selfish reasons, including ruining the lives of your boys. You deserve a karmageddon in the form of a hailstorm of anvils.

Gotta go, want to watch Brazil and Chile duke it out and later on see if Uruguay can lose gracefully to Colombia without Bitin' Louie making goals.

Christian Bach has carried this whole show on her back.

Loved the exchange with Sofia when Raquel recommend she name her new doll Raquel

The wrong people are dying and Blanca biting it is off the table since she is pregnant, dammit.

Raquel - if you really want to hurt Blanca kill Ed

Blanca - some people just shouldn't reproduce

Sofia - beware a bitch bearing gifts

Ed - get your child outta that house

Hugo - blood on your texting thumbs

Val - grandma

Jorge - what am I gonna be when I grow up

Tita - sorry you didn't get your goodbyes but he deserved it

Mariana - you are with me in spirit and miss you

The roof fell in on the boys and they looked shell shocked but can't deny what their mother is.

Stupidity ensued for most of the rest. Blabbing Katrina spills the beans, we get the switch to save Tita and give up Rafa and then Katrina and Tita return to serving camarones and cerveza and NEITHER one of them calls Blanca to warn her, calls Jorge to tell him what is going on, calls Rafa to see if he is all right. I guess it must be all the lead in Mexican pottery that made the pair so stupid.

I keep thinking that maybe Rafa survived but who knows. He was smart to write the note and take the ring, it is proof that can be used against Raq. That of course is if anyone can find his body.

Hugo needs to be gagged and tied to a chair. He is responsible for Rafa's death and he has turned into a spoiled brat.

So Ed finally gets it and learns about how Blanca had been tormented in prison. Laughed at the guard who thought he was as evil as his mother and she was so proud of her sadistic behavior until he mentioned that he would be reporting what was going on. He made his choice and warns Blanca that Raq knows she is alive thanks to Hugo and Sofia. Smart of him to go arrange for guards and safety for Blanca's siblings but he was stupid in telling Sofia he would be back to take her and Val away. He said that Raq adored the child and wouldn't hurt her as if.WTH didn't he take them with him instead of leaving Val (his mother) to the tender mercies of the psycho Raq.

Raq as the loving abuela bringing a gift and the checking the computern while tellig Sofia shed think about getting her aw dog. We all know how that would end up, Why are all Sofia's dolls blonde or redheads?

Anita I'm watching and rooting for Chile in this one and Uruguay in the second (big fan of Diego Forlan)

Hahaha, Anita!

I almost fell out of my chair when you mentioned Lisette's walk. It's like you were there with my best friend and I when we had this conversation:

Tanya - "What the hell is wrong with that lady's walk? Her shoes don't fit? She doesn't know how to walk in heels?"

Me: "My theory has always been that one leg is longer than the other "

And Tanya doesn't watch this novela. I was finishing up an episode, and she came into my room, and noticed her trotting right away.

I'm partial to American football myself ( Go Philadelphia Eagles!) But I grew up watching soccer with my family. I've always loved Mexico, Brasil, and Argentina (yeah, yeah, I know Brasil and Argentina hate each other). I just saw Chile lose. It hurts my heart to see the devastation in their faces.

Hey, @Decie Girl - originally I was going to root for Colombia because I like all the beautiful women that come out of there, but I'll renig my statement and go root for Uruguay in your honor. I didn't have a particular alliance to any one of these teams. I just want to see a good game. But to me, it's more exciting when I take a side.

At least they don't have Dracula the biter in this game. Yikes!

And yeah, Tofie, the way Christian Bach was so animated during the exchange with Sofia was great. Especially when she mentioned that the doll should be named after herself. I wish she acted like that throughout the whole novela. The first couple of episodes, she was very stiff. It's going to be fun watching the train wreck from here on end.

I really wish Christian Bach didn't have that stupid wig, though. What was the point of that?

As usual, but recording cut out early (just after Blanca and crew arrived at the new Ed provided safe house.) Was there anything big that happened at the end?

Anita-I'm with you on your assessment of Lisette's walk. She's just all over clumsy to me. Walk, hand movements...everything.

So the fin is on Thursday. Only four hours to go!

PS: Thelma, the Brazil/Chile game was such a heart breaker. I couldn't watch the very end. I had to leave the room.

Sara, I have been obsessed to see a photo of Christiane Bach's actual hair ever since I saw her in that flippy blond wig thing in La Patrona, but alas, all the images of her online look like wigs also.

Lisette Morelo's "stomp" looks like someone walking in high heels for the first time...every time you see her in heels. It's pretty odd.

It was fun to watch the little bit of sly humor when Raq interacted with Sofia and the Barbie. Raq is like Mount Rushmore but with better underwear.

The Lisette Stomp sounds like a dance from the 1940s. LOL.

Actually I think Lisette walks like Herman Munster

Yes except Herman Munster has a better wardrobe...and more expressive facial features.

I offer this as a reason for Lisette and her clunky walk. Many actors use external tells to give the viewer a sense of who the character is. Chris is always dressed in a suit and tie which tells us he is an ambitious businessman. Jorge wears casual tee's and jeans to show he is an artist and down with the barrio folk.

Blanca is a barrio girl who probably never wore heels in her life until she became Victoria. Hence she doesn't know how to walk in high heels and clumps around like she is wearing sandals. Then again maybe Lisette is just graceless and awkwardwhich would also explain her flat affect. Alpha in her catatonic state shows more animation and feeling than our leading lady.

Decie, I was semi viewing a show on MundoFox about the time this one started and I saw someone clomping around on heels with long blond hair, bangs, supposedly one of the "hot girls" and thought that looks like Lisette's walk and then the close up, it was.

Just goes to prove she isn't a great actress. LOL

I'm thinking about the finale of this one. Telemundo doesn't usually follow the conventional Ave Maria backed wedding scene so I'm thinking that in the end we will see how the news families have managed to come together, then again maybe there won't be any new families to merge if Raq has her way.

"...Telemundo doesn't usually follow the conventional Ave Maria backed wedding scene..."

I've never seen a Telemundo finale. I'm looking forward to seeing this...especially if it may avoid the wedding cliche.

I hate the weddings at the end and the illusion of happily ever after is so forced oftentimes. I'd like the last scene to be Raquel without her wig & make up, wearing an off the shoulder hospital gown, hooked up for her first electroshock treatment and Val gets to flip the switch.

I think it would be fabulous to see Raq without wig and make-up, too. Maybe as she's being led to prison?

I know I'm harping on it, but I just don't get why they went with this particularly dull wig. The blond flippy one is better.

Just remember how she looked at the La Patrona, on that turning thing with her cousin/housekeeper smearing make up on her face making her look like a clown. I've not seen a lot of Telemundo shows to this point but can't find a wedding in any.
In Donde Esta Elsia the galan rode off into the sunset when the leading lady chose to stay with her husband.

There obviously had been a wedding on LP but we didn't see it. Don't recall one in Marido either so have high hopes of not seeing Lisette clomping down the aisle in a tent like pleated mess of a dress.

They didn't do a full scene of the wedding but there was a brief camio wedding scene easily forgotten.

As I recall it was at the wedding reception that Francesca (the witch or psychic of the family) released El Tigre and her dead son spirit's presence and moved on to form a life with Gaston.

They then contrasted the unhappy ending of La Patrona being totally abandoned and forgotten with the new families (even Constanza who found a mate in Italy).

So we could have a double wedding with Katrina/Jorge and Eduardo/Blanca. I'd be okay with that if they close with a short of Raq being closed in with the guard now her cell mate. They certainly made an issue of the guards sexuality -- delicious to see Raq's reaction to her new social status.

Tofie, whatever happened to Don Leonidas ?
