Glad that Fanny came to her senses before going all the way with that boy. Now, how is Ana going to get out of her mess? No way she can keep up with this schedule/double life. She could continue to hide out in Richville, but the thugs would likely take it out of Jennifer (I don't care about Johnny).
My current hope for her is that Fernando falls in love with her before he finds out about this. He might then -- after some inevitable conflict -- buy out her "contract" so she never has to see that place again.
And yes, the actor playing Gus does look like he's related to Carlos de la Mota. The character was sort of cute until we realized he had no game.
what they had to do when the kids got home from school was precisely taking them to the mall to buy their dad his gifts.
I like how Fanny and Ana are getting very close and Ana will be the (not quite motherly) big sister figure for her that she needs. yes, when I heard Sebastian bought his dad a hip hop CD i felt the same. UGH!!
Jorge Salinas is in the house. Silvia calmed down a bit. If she pulls it back a little more will be good for me.
Know this is "sound of music" with a "pretty woman" twist but Ana is a hard sell as acceptable for Fernando. That club and the folks she works for were never interested in her artistic expression and she knew it. It's a seedy place run by seedy men including her manager/boyfriend Juan. What a disappointment Fernando is in for.
Isabela - patience she'll screw up
Fanny - yes to the no
Manuela - did I miss something, why the turn about?
Ana - wear some sensible shoes but doubt you got em
Nando - and I thought Ana had the identity crisis
Fernando - lesson 1. always check in with the nanny
Juan - put your disco shirt back on
Gus - no wonder you ain't got none
Doroteo - don't care if you were a nun, you signed a contract
The fortune teller looked familiar and it is the actor that played "Ray" on PEAM: Maryliz León.
I so hated seeing drama rear its ugly head in the comedy last night. I know it is part of the formula BUT they could include less serious stuff than a man who could lose his life because his "girl" crossed a shady nightclub owner. How about the threat being something like him threatening to send her new employer a video of her pole performance or kidnapping her new employer and showing him her pole performance live. The level of violence and the level of comedy are very incongruous but that is what the genre is known for, no? I'll get off my soapbox now. : )
It was great seeing Isabella getting out maneuvered. Loved seeing the backstory on Fernando and the family. Loved the word play with "hueva" meaning both "lazy" (flojo) and "fish roe" (caviar).

I was very happy when Fernando dropped everything to be with his kids on his birthday. I was afraid he may dither, thinking of his guests. But all is right in this world!
Here's hoping we don't have to suffer too much through Sebastian's favorite music.
I too wonder WTH is a nanny running around in stilettos while on the job.
Oh no the dreaded popular in Mexico indication we are in for a long ride. This would be so good if it was kept short and snappy but with the prospect of a drawn out story I already find myself drawing away a bit.
What is with the two new novelas being hyped? A Ruffo number and Pedro Fernandez (which looks awful). What ever happened to La Gata? Is it a flop?
Mama Fanny was going to die anyway but I wonder if somebody helped her die a little sooner?
Isabella does not like children. That is a common characteristic of villanas at Televisa (and something that gets on my last nerve). Without her saying so yet I can tell you that she is already researching the boarding schools to ship these kids off to once she gets her claws into Fernando.
As to a nanny wearing heels, they'd be Ana's own. Also I think Fernando sees her role differently from Ana's view. The uniform is more like that of a boarding school teacher and I believe he was looking for a more schoolmistressy woman than a nanny really should be. He is a lot more concerned with the children's academic achievement than their social development, which he should be giving more attention to.
But at least he realized that there is something in Ana that made Luz want to talk again.
Thank you, Urban!
I've only had time to read part of the recap in my lunch break, hopefully I have time for it later at home. Thank you for all the photos, I know how much time those take.
I don't get ANY woman who can stay in stillettos all day long, so Ana wearing them in the house is beyond me.
Decie girl, I think the Pedro Fernandez tn just started but I am watching the Victoria Ruffo one (La Malquerida) and I LOVE it.
It's very twisted and incestuous, what's there not to like? :)
Ha, there's no way in HELL that I'd watch LA Gata, it's CI 2.0, all the way down to Maites horrible hair. Nope, nope, nope, not gonna watch!
“Isabel makes sure to take the too-small space next to him on one of the matching chairs [No, no; not the comfy chair!]” and “He's already jealous of Fernando, whom he defensively says is no great shakes. [Note to Johnny: We beg to differ] were excellent but "as though mind-melded by Vulcans, Fernando breaks off the kiss almost immediately" was my favorite.
I also thought Gus looked like Carlos's little brother Anon. I had to look twice.
Agree with Vivi and you that Ana will not be able to keep up the charade and the double life.
Jonny's beating was brutal and hard to watch.
Isabel hasn't learned one obvious facts. Fernando puts family first. Add that to the fact she's rushing him when he is still clearly mourning the loss of his wife means she is going to need to rethink things. Something she seems more than capable of doing. Sigh.
Your conversation translations are greatly appreciated.

Silly Goose. With moves like that, I hope he will stay uncoupled for a long, long time. What a moron. How long was he smooching Fannie and not noticing how much she was hating it? I think he looks like a cross between Carlos de la Mota and David Bisbal.
If JS can dance, he'd be my ideal man!
And when does Diego get back? It's time for him to shake things up a bit more.
The other reason I volunteered is to finally make it through a Televisa comedy novela. The only one I got close to on that was PESE and I dropped out for a while because of the horrible misogyny that was represented as normal. Not in these times, folks!
Julia, good call on David Bisbal except that this cherubic actor is mucho mas taller. David Bisbal is about 5'6". He has great dance moves, but could never become a galan de telenovelas unless there is a very petite lead actress.
1. When the right image comes up hit the button marked "Prt Sc Sys Rq"
2. Past that image into the Paint program.
3. Use the cropping tool to outline the image you want
4. Do "copy"
5. Paste into new blank screen from Paint.
6. Save file.
This time I had the most fun with the captions.
But I'm worried that most of the dancing we see on this show might be Sebastian's beginner hip hop stylings. I hope not. I wonder if Ana's and Fernando's Edelweiss moment might have to be a hip hop. So romantic.
I think Ana could make the double schedule work for awhile, if she weren't also trying to study to be able to help them with their homework. They're at school much of the day, five days a week, and she could use that time to catch up on sleep.
Isabella doesn't want the package deal. She wants Fernando and his dinero (The latter is actually more important to her). She could be the archetypical Wicked Stepmother. If the writers really go off the rails she could end up being like Veronica in PEAM.
It is so hard to sustain humor over many, many months, particularly this antic, slapstick brand. I have watched a score of Mexican comedies and given up around episode 60, checking occasionally to get the gist. I really liked Las Tontas no van al Cielo, but too long, too silly, too much. Again, hung in and then fell out.
I have great hopes for this and am still getting a good laugh or two out of every episode. The tender scenes are so well done that I can't resist those either. Can't wait to see the birthday bash.
In Llena de Amor, there were things like Gretel and what's-his-guts, the poli who pretended to be a shrink, and their secret identities, plus some amusing bits with Emanuel flirting with vases and such.
Basically it seems I love secret identity and psychiatry humor, so I guess we need some of that :).
I agree that some good moments developed in Llena. I was burned out on it by then, but did like just what you have described. I really liked the Gretel character as she recovered from the abuse and showed considerable spunk.
Fortunately, the image that UA put up with the caption "A vampire's dream" shows the logo albeit a bit small.
UA, how do you watch the novella? Are you using a video capture device that allows you to watch TV on your computer? This would explain how you can capture the image using Prt Scrn. If you do, select that Window so it is the active one and then use Alt Prt Screen. This will capture only the active Window.
I use a Hauppauge usb pvr2, although it is not connected to anything right now. Great devices that also let you record the TV show for rewatching it anytime later. UNIVISION announces at the end of the novellas that we can go to UVideos, but not really because I've only been able to watch week old novellas. If you want to see newer ones you have to register by entering (or selecting) your provider ( COMCAST, DISK, etc), so any one watching using a tried and true antenna is outta luck.
Changing the subject drastically, posting the original message (the first 2 paragraphs of this message) was an exercise in frustration. What should have taken me 5 minutes took me a long time (I gave up after about an hour). I was not able to enter the recaptcha distorted text as shown in the image. It was not the "Photo Sphere" that I am seeing now. I must have tried dozens of times, in fact, so much so that the recaptcha display told me that I was an automated process and stopped servicing my requests.
To calm down I decided to make a list of Johnny's endearing qualities. Since I was not able to post earlier and my evenings are somewhat busy, it is unlikely I will attempt to post again.
PS: In case anyone is curious, here is the list of Johnny's endearing qualities:
1. He is a fictional character
I hate how some shows will put the logo all over the sets. The nonsense takes you out of the world of the show. Like in PEAM we were really supposed to believe that everyone would have computers with big "Porque el Amor Manda" logos on them, or have this stitched onto their janitor uniform or whatever? I speculated that Avon might have better productivity if they bought their office equipment from a real computer distributor and not some dippy commune that believes love will provide the computing power. And I'm sure Fernando would be mortified to have such a sappy thing on his monitor where clients and everyone can see it. It is just too too.
Anyway, speaking of Ana's high heels, I guess the character dancer can't get to see the inappropriateness huh? which brings to my mind, something that drives me crazy. I am watching an old tn, al diablo con los guapos, a girl who always wear a cap, knitted or otherwise. No matter what the occasion, she wears a hat? is it bad hair day, the fashion during that time/ the character's eccentricities or the actress' own personality? I also noticed this in Corona de Lagrimas and Cuidado con Angel. Why? Even if the scene is a formal occasion, these characters ruin it by those crazy caps. Why?
Good eyes spotting the reused props! Televisa makes telenovelas with a small budget, crew, and cast. The actors don't get paid a lot of money unless they are top tier stars too. They recycle everything from sets, to clothes, and music. Their sponsors help pay by putting their products everywhere. It would be better if they were a lot less obvious.
I also find it really odd how Ana is able to sneak back and forth from the club to the family's house (and fix her hair and makeup!) without anyone noticing. I'm glad the show is doing really well in Mexico, but I hope the writers can keep the drama going because I always lose interest after a few months.
The Pedro Fernandez one is called 'Hasta el fin del mundo'. It just started in Mexico on Monday and it's coming to Univision on August 18. It's doing very well in Mexico. 'Mi Corazon' is the #2 show in Mexico for its network on most nights. As for 'La Gata', it looks awful. I want to like Maite's telenovelas, since I was a big fan of hers during RBD, but I don't think I'll watch this one either. It doesn't have the best ratings in Mexico either.
