Hasta el Fin del Mundo Recap #3-The Dress, The Dame(s), and The Discord that Detained Chava from Unemployment.
EDIT-EDIT-EDIT-EDIT-EDIT-EDIT-EDIT-EDIT-EDIT-EDIT-EDIT-EDIT-EDIT-EDIT-EDIT-
Sofia and Chava
Sofia lets Chava know he begins immediately and he is happy to oblige. Greta intervenes and says she has not finished interviewing him but Sofia insists he is OK and lays down the rules; no high velocity or victory cries since they're informal. He tones it down and they head out. Greta dislikes Chava since he's- Fausto interrupts and says Attractive, Sympathetic and of a Enchanting Smile. Greta says he is ordinary. Fausto suggests she has some chocolate Miguelina prepared since it will change her mind; Greta is up for the chocolate but her mind won't be changed.
Patricio's Cockamamie Scheme
In an alleyway of sorts are various thugs and a familiar face who comes out of a car; it's Patricio who has come to let them know what's up with the plan; They will track Sofia, kidnap her, bring her to a room or location of sorts and then he will come with cash which I'm guessing most likely will be a ploy and lead to Pat fighting to save Sofia. Sofia is to make it out of the kidnapping COMPLETELY unscathed physically and when they're fighting the thugs aren't fight by much and avoid hurting Pat's pretty little face. They know how to get the job done. They go their separate ways (for now. OK so his plan is save Sofia from harm. There's something else fishy about this plan but IDK how to word it. I mean it's supposed to make him look like a hero but right after they get to the rendezvous, Pat is immediately going to go in and save her? Wouldn't Sofia wonder how he knew she was in peril? Yeah that's how to word it.)
Lupe and Irma
Lupe is getting down like the old lady from Soul Train when Irma comes in to bitch about her troubles. Lupe offers to watch her son and says it would be sweet to have him around when Irma lets out the biggest bitching and yells that she came looking for advice and not be barrida y regada (IDK man, IDK. Also, From this day forward Irma will be know as IrkMe since she irks me. I'm getting a Karina from DQTQTQ vibe from her and Armando is a competent Alonso right?)
Armando at Cuco's
Armando is lamenting to Cuco about how he quit his job but is proud since he didn't want to work for that jerk of a boss of his. Cuco says only you would punch your boss in the face on the first day Armando and tells him to cool off; new job opportunities will show up. Armando is bent out of shape over this because it's been three losses in a row; his first job, the race and his second job. What else could he lose?
(Author's Note- OK I will have the rest of the recap when I get home. I can't have the volume up in the computer lab because it will distract those who are in here. At least I've put my best foot forward with the recap and am in the right direction.)
EDIT-EDIT-EDIT-EDIT-EDIT-EDIT-EDIT-EDIT-EDIT-EDIT-EDIT-EDIT-EDIT-EDIT-EDIT-
Chava and Sofia
Sofia asks to go faster and Chava says Finally then sorry I was getting bored. Sofia says not so fast and he slows down (I blame his excitement from being asked LOL) He says it's not bad for their first time as chauffer and passenger.
Fausto and Daniela
Daniela (whom I will address- LOL adDRESS- as Dani, 'Niela and/or DaniGurl. Also maybe one or 3 people remember her as Illeana from PSMA or Sabrina from Abismo de Pasion.) is wistfully gazing at her Lucas-Given Dress (which is the beginning of her story arc's discord I presume) when Fausto waltzes in and scares her. He KNOWS what's up and that there's a guy; what's his name? Dani doesn't know his name. Is he a mysterious stranger? Obviously he gave you that dress right no? 'Niela says she bought it en rebaja (either on sale or off the rack.) Fausto thinks it's cute and now it's time to face the music and respond; como ves el desconocido? Dani chides Fausto with a look and his name in a tone; "Fausto....."
Lucas at Paco's La Union
Speaking of the diavel, our little Aladdin/Robin Hood walks to Paco's shop and exclaims it hasn't changed a bit. He taps on the counter with a coin (Well he isn't PENNILESS.) Lucas apparently hasn't wasted much time pissing off Paco and he bluntly asks how can he help him? Lucas goes on about how NOTHING has changed not even Paco himself and that Paco will be buried in the area his shop is on. Paco has his cornered and says just who the hell are you? Lucas tells him don't be like that and who he is; Lucas, Miguelina's grandson and they lived right around the corner. We were in Queretaro por un boche de anos but we're back! Paco then asks if he wants congratulations for such to which Lucas sarcastically responds," You and your good humor." Paco's irritation meter is off the charts and berserk button is stuck; You gon' buy something or waste my time? Gum, gum, gum it is. Lucas leaves and say see you later! Paco scoffs and just as Lucas leaves, cue Marisol who is checking the sexy young thang that just left the shop. She asks who was that honeybun? Paco responds with an uneducated little puke who used to live en la colonia pero por desgracia has returned; don't waste your time with him. Shouldn't you be in school? Marisol is looking for chamba and Paco's turn to chide her with the whole, "School comes first" sermon and she like me acknowledges that it's his turn to say that and concludes with, "Seriously? Chill out man. Peace." Paco bumbles about location relaxation, peinandose and being buried.
Chava and Sofia at the Ripollery
Chava and Sofia arrive at the factory and he doesn't realize as the chauffeur he must open the door for her; he gets up and out to do so? No, he unlocks the door so she can open it herself LOL. Sofia who you can tell wants to cry bluntly states as calm as possible that he must open the door. He gets up to do so now and even offers to help her up but she says it's good and to wait for her there, she'll be right back. Chava now chides himself.
Silvana and Sofia
Silvana (who is now Silvie) apologizes for not having brought Sofia something I didn't catch and Sofia says it's OK. She notices Silvie is looking down and asks what's up. Silvie says she had a bad night but it's juarever; forget about it. Sofia says Silvie can trust her since they're friends and she loves her; girlfriend hug! Sofia must leave and she asks Silvie to wish her luck. All the luck in the world Silvie blesses. (It pains me to know that Silvie is one of the antagonists considering she is so sweet to Sofia.)
Chava and Sofia
Chava is still chiding himself when he sees Sofia in the distance and hurries to get the door for Sofia and start the car up. He says we'll practically fly there and Sofia slightly scoffs at the thought of flying there. He mistakenly still has her forms and when she calls him with her hand out the window, he shueezes (shake/squeezes) it but then realizes he has the forms, hands them over and off they go!
Patricio's Nefarious Ploy
Pat is just about ready to dispatch the thugs but calls Sofia to wish her luck (she asks if a meeting he was in is over already BTW) He would like to talk to her later and she says Patricio like she is trying to say don't start; he says he knows the date of the wedding is a serious thing so she can take her time with it. Also he complains that Sofia didn't tell him about her accident with Boris but Silvana did and it's about time he was notified. He asks if she is in a different car and she is. He dispatches the thugs (unleashes the titans!)
Chava and Sofia
Chava is driving through the barrio when two boys see him and he pulls over to talk racing with him. He tells them to keep quiet about it, dismisses himself, hurries off after and then Sofia asks what they were talking about.
Greta and Fausto
Fausto walks in on Greta at work and compliments her art. It's beautiful really! He asks about her love that left; will he ever return? That prompts Greta to tear the good pieces of work to bits in a fiery rage and a sad face from Viewerville :( Fausto asks what is she doing and I ask what does it look like? Greta claims her love is buried forever I tell you, forever! (3 seconds into her saying that, I remember Don Paco being paranoid about burial business......)
Paco's Lament
Paco is home remembering what Lucas told him (and I expect/anticipate him to reach out, grab Flashback Lucas by that succulent neck of his and choke away.) Cue the rancheras and he pulls out the pictures of him, Greta and Fausto (there's a third guy in that picture. I could be wrong though.) way back when. (This confirms Paco was Greta's at one point right?)
Marisol and Matias at Cuco's
Marisol's turn to lament to Cuco about being shot down by being told to put school before work. Matias (in his campy hipster get-up) is watching this (and needs to take it easy with the salt) and walks up to invite her to work at the Ripollery (while talking with his mouth full.) She accepts gleefully!
Chava and Sofia
Sofia is chiding Chava now (everybody chides Chava) for not having told her he was a racecar pilot. She detests when information is hidden from her. He didn't tell her because he doesn't race anymore. She says something I didn't catch (what is the base word for Mitotero because I think that's it) and then he looks out of it; there's a difference between flying a racecar (IDK man) and driving down the street. Sofia straight up fires him right there. After her meeting, he will take her home and it's game over man; the following day he will be paid for his one day of work. "The World According to You," Chava responds, "I just want to thank life because it gave me the chance to meet-" Whoops there it is! Our current and future discordial situation at work! The thugs grumble and pull guns out the windows of their car; Sofia tells Chava to be careful and here comes the moment we've all been waiting for; Need for Speed-Novela Edition! There are/is corners cleared, sparks fly, turbulence, a damsel in distress, a near-crash with the thugs and a scene change with IrkMe and Armando (grumble face from Viewerville -_-)
IrkMe and Armie's New Armoirs
A guy is moving furniture and Armie is a little jilted. IrkMe asks if he is supposed to be work and says he lost his job. (Scene Change!)
Back to The Action
Sofia is wailing with fear and doesn't understand why this is happening (Greta put the saying Mother Knows Best to perfect use when she says she doesn't trust Patricio.) Chava just focuses on saving the woman and pulls his Patotas moves to get them out of the jam. After 2 min. of turbulence, the thugs stop the car, get out and are ready to pick the car up off the street but Chava evades them entirely! There are bystanders who the thugs shoo off and they get back into their car.
More IrkMe -___-
She is leading her movers and telling them where to place the new furniture. Armie asks, "Now with what cash shall we pay this stuff with? God you're irresponsible!" Irma responds, "Why? 'Cuz I want our place to look alive? BTW I ordered these armoirs when you Mr. La Dee Da were out all the saintly day with your car and counting your chickens before they hatched hoping to win the dadgum race!" "A splurge like this should have been run by me, us; communication, hello!" "It was a surprise my love." "We need something to sit down on, the armoirs weren't mandatory." "You should have thought of your son first instead of having an affair with your blessed little car." "Don't get Nandito or Patotas involved in this now. You listen and listen good, I'm going to find a job and not leave anything missing for you and Nandito. However, my mechanic and racing love will not die."
Love Will Save the Day
Chava has brought Sofia to safety; the thugs lost them. They call Pat to let him know and he says abort the mission! Sofia in the safety begins to cry and Chava comforts her.
After a Nice Day of Thievery, Sarcasm and the Stuff on The Left, it's good to yell at Grannie right?
Lucas is home and calls for Grandma who isn't home.
Daniela is one again admiring and fondling the dress she got. She says she should go back and pay for it (Technically she did but was duped.) Miguelina comes in with food and her phone loudly goes off.
Dani isn't disturbed by the noise but why Migue' doesn't answer it LOL; She helps her answer and turn the volume down.
It's Lucas and he demands to know where she is. She is at work and he shrilly says, "Otra vez trabajando de ChaCha? I'm not letting this happen!" Our Aladdin is livid and about to storm over there (well he did hear Greta waltz into 'Niela's room and yell at Miguelina so it's sort of justified.)
Silvie, Matias and Marisol
Matias has brought Mari to the Ripollery and Silvie appears asking why isn't he in his division working? He says Maestro Correia (who is Gil from PSMA) had encharged him with an errand and introduces Marisol. Silvie digresses towards Pat who subtly sulks in and she asks about Sofia; he says she is cool and Silvie guesses she must be at her meeting. She exits and then Matias quietly introduces Mari to Pat.
Chava, Sofia and Fausto
Sofia is still crying and tells Fausto that she was terrified (they're at a upper crust bistro BTW. At least I think it is.) Chava tells her to breath and that it's all over. They made it out of that jam unscathed. (While Chava is teaching her to breath deep, her cries intensify LOL.) She realizes she must call the company and explain why she missed her meeting (Fausto responds to this with Responsable hasta el fin. I respond with an LOL.)
The Dress
DaniGirl walks down the stairs in her fabulous and unintentionally purloined dress and a pair of cute boots (I miss Illeana's style savvy dress up LOL. Also Jade Fraser was in Nina de Mi Corazon as another Style Savvy Gal; Ximena. I can't really say much for Sabrina of AdP since IDGAFruitSnack about that show LOL but she would be my motive for watching that show if it's ever back on.) Greta watches from below and detests it so much to the point where she refers to it as a trapo! Dani dice que el vestido no tiene precio por ella! The phone rings, it's Alexa Dahling! Dani has the phone snatched from her by Greta and after she hangs up, Dani asks why didn't you let me talk (I have to LOL.) Greta calls Sofia to find a chauffeur for Alexa Dahling and she asks Chava to do it for her; he is happy to oblige when Fausto intervenes and says they must go to the delegacion de policia to report the incident. Chava knows the right guy for the job!
Armie for Hire
Armie is highlighting job ads when IrkMe comes in and buzzes about her armoirs. Armie receives Chava's call and he gets the news and job offer.
Post Pat's Poopy Plot
He isn't over the fact he failed.
Fine as The Day is Young
Armie in a suit is why I forgive the fact IrkMe is in the scene (He certainly is a Papucho.)
The Stony Lonesome's Secretary
Some more Breathing 101 with Chava and Sofia. There's a creepy balding guy next to them who looks away.
The OctaviObile
Armie must take Don Octavio EPD's car to pick up LexiDahling.
My, aren't you two low?
Silvie and Pat cat'n'rat with a mentioning of Sofia.
The One, The Only, Alexa Ripoll-Bandy!
LexiDahling has arrived and straight up matches my level of straight-forward when she calls Armie handsome like a galan de cine.
Labels: hasta
The title is excellent. Can't wait to read this.
Diana
I'm sorry you are having computer issues too. Thanks for going the extra mile.
I too like the title. I can't wait to read your take on what happened.
One little thing. Please label your recap. It isn't showing up on the side bar.
I love the title also.
This was such a good episode. I'm really enjoying this TN.
I love hearing the theme song!
I am trying to get into this novela. I am not find of the guy no playing the galan. I think that Diego would have made a better galan. He is a guaypo hombre. I also love Alessandro Tomasi. He and the actress playing Greta were great in Alborada. He played the galan's right hand man/ advisor/ father figure. She played the leading lady's mother.
I am also trying to get used to Marjorie is a good girl. It is hard to get KendrHO our of my mind. I guess that wearing your hair in a tight bun signifies a serious minded, good mujer. I am not a fan of her wide eyed innocent stare.
I know right about the galan, but I tell you he has a way with the charm. When I first starting watching Dinero in late night, I had never seen PF in anything before, he poured on the charm and I was hooked. I like that he isn't the average good looking galan, I wouldn't say he's homely either, just different. He has a way of grabbing your attention and then comes the charm and before you know it, he forget he isn't the handsome one.
M de S sure is bringing it. I like her so far. She is independent, knows what she wants and runs the family bidnez. I have already forgotten all about Kendho : )
I'm not a car enthusiast, but I thought the producers did a good job with the car chase. Something tells me with Marjorie de Sousa and car chases, Hasta may get higher numbers of male viewers.
1) a good overall storyline
2) good writing
3) good acting
4) characters that I can relate to and care about.
So far we seem to have all of the above.
While SR and AB are good looking, by the end of Robo I didn't like or care about either Montse or Ale. I got really, really tired of them because they were stupid and dull. It was the lesser characters on Robo that kept me watching.
I like Marjorie and I like the character she's portraying. I think Pedro, despite his humble looks, is charming. Only time will tell how good or bad this TN is. Give it a chance.
I enjoyed the car chase scene. It was very well done.
Hahahaha @ Patricio. He wanted to be a hero but he was left a zero.
Lucas and his Viva Mexico shirt cracks me up.
Yay! Alexa is in town. And she really liked her handsome chauffeur.
It cracks me up how Matias thinks Patricio is his BFF when Patricio doesn't really know he exists.
I didn't mind him in Hasta but in this one he's boring, no chemistry with the lead Majorie etc. Nothing to hold my interest.
LQLVMR wasn't perfect but I like the actors, chemistry, and the majority of the story most of the time.
Armando is certainly handsome, so I can understand Alexa's reaction, but his gf/wife/baby-mama is not going to let go of him easily. I noticed that both women like to use LOTS of bright eyeshadow.
Anon, we've seen only three episodes, have just met the characters and have barely gotten into the story. I'm impressed that you are already bored with it. Good luck in finding something that suits your tastes.
I really like the characters we have seen so far. Fast cars, chocolate, pretty women, excellent recappers... I'm good... for now.
Carlos
"IrkMe", "Speaking of the diavel, our little Aladdin/Robin Hood..."; "Paco's irritation meter is off the charts and berserk button is stuck" and "Patricio's Nefarious Ploy" were among my favorites.
The chase was so exciting!! I am enjoying every second of this.
I am going to re-read your recap this weekend. Like Carlos, it takes me time to remember who everyone is.
You did a wonderful job!
Diana
I think the story is really good and so far this Mexican rendition ain't bad at all.
As I've said countless times before I'm over the moon with Marjorie in this, she's so different and can really bring out the other side of her. I hope she gets more good girl roles.
And Pedro isn't handsome but he's charming. Give him 15 episodes and he's gonna win your heart.
Tbh I would have loved seeing someone like Mario Cimarro or Fer Colunga in the role of Chava but Pedro is doing good so far.
Paco is home remembering what Lucas told him (and I expect/anticipate him to reach out, grab Flashback Lucas by that succulent neck of his and choke away.)
