Que Pobres Tan Ricos # 153 : 8/7/14: Secrets and Lies, We Are Looking at You Lupe, Ahole and Perla!
Shall we begin? We are in the juice office with Trofeo, Dona Mati and MA with the new Innocence Juice that is organic. MA has a great idea about marketing this juice and Dona Mati is sure that he will make this juice bidnez a success just as MA did with his bidnez in London.
Perla has fainted and Tizoc carries her to the hospital The check in doctor is rude to the Menchaca, he tells them there are lots of people ahead of them, they sit Perla down and she passes out again. Tizoc carries her straight back to an ER bed.
MA has gone to Emi's school. He is marketing his juice to children, he explains the good qualities to the Principal. She likes it. She sends him into the office for paperwork.
Saul has gone to visit Vilma in the jail. Why does he bother? He's trying to help her see the light so to speak. Vilma is not budging. Vilma thinks that shortly, Ahole will get her out of the jail. Saul reminds Vilma that maybe Ahole put her in the jail! Vilma of course feels differently. Ahole is loyal and Saul tells Vilma her trial begins next week and best of luck!
MA also talks to Emi at the school, with the Principal's permission. MA would still like to take him for the polo. MA also asked the Principal about Emi's friends, what happened to them? Emi has alienated his friends the Principal tells MA.
Dona Mati has come to the Fonda looking for Don C and the Menchaca. Rita tells her they aren't there, when Don C comes. Rita informs them both the family is at the hospital and they go. She yells after them to let her know how Perla is, but they are already gone.
Lupe and the rest of the family are very worried about Perla and Tizoc starts mumbling about Perla and those pills. Don C arrives with Dona Mati and Tomas urges Tizoc to tell. Don C is pithed he knew nothing about those pills. The Doc comes out and says nothing really wrong with Perla and he's letting her go. Dona Mati tells Don C that there is a hospital that specializes in these things and he doesn't want Dona Mati to spend her money. Dona Mati tells Don C to shut it when he protests and Perla is going to a better hospital.
Mini and Isela are at it again, well Isela is. She is intent on selling Mini again. They are at Don Lauro's mansion and they both love it. Don L tells them to take as much time as they want to stay there. Isela plans her next move.
The Doc calls Lupe back and tells her, her biopsy is in five days. Then they will know if this tumor is cancerous or not. He asks if she too wants a better hospital. She tells him no, she trusts him and off she goes.
MA visits the Fonda and finds out from Rita the Menchaca are at the hosptial. He goes.
Perla is at the new hospital and Dona Mati assures the Menchaca that Perla is in good hands. Lupe goes off to get Emi.
The Doctor at the first hospital the Menchaca went to, gives a nurse a medical chart and something about oncology and the case could be very grave. MA has gotten to the hospital and asks about Perla. The desk nurse is confused and tells MA that Guadaloupe's operation is in five days. MA wants further details, but the nurse tells him it's confidential. He may be the novio, but he can't get that info. MA jacks Lupe's chart, while the nurse is calling for security, and finds out this operation is a biopsy for cancer. He is just stunned.
Don C and Dona Mati are having a chat. Don C is sure Perla took those pills because of Ahole. Don C doesn't want to talk bad about Ahole, since he's Dona Mati's own blood, but she tells him not to worry, she knows how Ahole is.
Vilma calls Ahole at his office and he's less than pleased to hear from her. She wants out of the jail yesterday! He's afraid of her tone of voice. She reminds him to get her out and he knows why! After she hangs up, he plays back what Vilma said, he recorded the threatening parts of the convo. Ahole thinks she is stupid!
MA ends up giving the chart back to the nurse and gets a call from Dona Mati, and asks after Perla.
Lupe has brought Emi home when Carm calls to tell her that they are keeping Perla overnight for observation and Lupe is worried about the results of her own tests. DA comes by to talk to Rita. DA goes upstairs and asks Rita if he can talk to her. She is pleased they can talk without interruption and she asks DA for forgiveness.
MA goes to the other hospital and Carm tells him Perla is doing better. Dona Mati reminds Don C not to worry about the money, it's all taken care of and he's not paying it back. Carm and MA go off for a chat.
Rita tells DA that deep down Nepo is a good people and so is Guendy. Rita tells him it must be hard for him knowing about his Moms, she wants to be near him she really wants DA to forgive her. He tells her he has no rancor towards her, he forgives her and they have a wonderful hug.
Carm and MA are talking about Lupe and the tumor. Carm tells MA no one knows about it but Carm. MA feels everyone should know for the family support, she's going to need it. MA wants a chat with Lupe.
Rita tells DA she was confused at first when she realized she was gay. Why the question and he doesn't have to answer. He tells Rita that the person he likes is from a different world and has gone away. DA would like to go too. DA tells her he's not into the soccer, but he's interested in art, music. She smiles and tells DA she worked in musical theater? Rita tells DA that she is glad he listened to her. She smiles as he goes.
Ahole is meeting with his "team" of lawyers, it is two of them. Ahole is going on about the divorce from Lupe, and he wants a Judge bribed. The other lawyer tells him that Vilma's trial starts soon, but not to worry. The lawyer also asks Ahole if he is going to proceed against Tizoc. Ahole shoo, shoos them out of his office.
The family has gathered in Perla's hospital room. They want her to get better and they support her. I think she said she took those pills because she thought she was ugly, too much weight. She asks them if she is supposed to sleep while they all watch her. They all file out but Tomas, he wants to stay, but Don C hauls him out.
We are back to Mini and Isela and she thinks this situation is like Beauty and the Beast. Especially about Isela trying to sell her to Don Lauro.
MA goes to see Dr. Sepulveda, Lupe's Doctor to ask about Lupe's situation. Does MA want a second opinion? MA wants to contact Dr. Mufazzo, and Dr. S tells him that was his teacher. Go right ahead.
Perla is at home, being served breakfast in bed. They are glad she is over her mysterious illness. She is looking much better. Tomas comes with a bunch of flowers. Lupe tells Perla they were all worried for her and Perla tells them she drank that juice to lose weight. They all file out but Tomas, who gives the Perla the flowers. Don C spies on them and smiles.
Dona Mati and the RP's are eating together, and she tells them about the juice that Perla drank and what happened. Frida brings up bulimia. AS is actually making sense. She says no one should beleive these infomercials. They lie, you can't lose that amount of weight in that short a time.
Guendy and Nepo are talking about their wedding and how is that divorce going? She wants to find a fab dress. Guendy would like to hold the reception at the Menchaca Fonda. Nepo is kind of not wanting to do that because Rita is there.
MA has gone to see Dr. Maffuz, and the Doc M assures MA that Dr. S's diagnosis is correct from what he sees. Now they have to wait for the biopsy.
Don Lauro has taken Mini and Isela out to eat at that fancy restaurant. Isela brings up Mini crying at the death of Bambi's mother, that would be Disney's Bambi. It's because Mini didn't have a bebe with Ahole. Don Laura feels he is getting on in years, and he needs love and companionship and while Isela is grinning like a loon, he grabs her hand and asks for Isela's hand in marriage. Mini giggles and puts her hand over theirs. Look on Islea's face, priceless!
AVANCES:
There were none, just old scenes.
Labels: pobres
Most unfavorite part: MA sticking his nose into Lupita's medical condition with the doctors. That would be lawsuit territory against the doctors in this country.
(BTW, I also do not have a problem with Lupita keeping her condition to herself. Her (the patient's) comfort level should be of first concern not the comfort level of her family and friends. )
Next unfavorite part: School official letting MA talk to Emiliano. Same situation that occurred as with Alejo early on.
Favorite part: Don Lauro proposing to Isela. The look on her face was priceless. What will she be willing to do to keep the good life going?
Biggest Question: What is Vilma going to do now that she is starting to realize she is being railroaded?
Jarifa
Thanks so much for your kind words. I agree with you about Lupe. She should decide when or if she tells the familia. I too can't understand why the Principal allowed MA to talk to Emi, but she knows who he is already, as being and RP and that he has talked to Emi before.
EmeraldRose:
Thanks so much for your kind words. I wish it was shown on the East Coast as an 8:00pm TN. That would be wonderful. I don't fall asleep watching it, but so much crammed into one hour. It's mind boggling!
Jarifa:
Oh, yay Vilma. I think she's reached the end of her rope. I hope they don't cut her trial. I want to see the whole thing to see what she does. The part I really didn't get was the Judge bribing. I didn't catch if it was for the custody Judge for Emi, or if it was for The Judge hearing Vilma's case. This should be very interesting.
ITA with everyone that it is suit grounds against the doctors/nurse to let MA find out about Lupita's surgery... teh confusion started because the nurse did not realize Lupita's chart the doctor put on ehr desk (that was the oncologist) and Perla's case were separate. She mentioned that the Menchaca lady was scheduled for surgery. But when MA kept questioning that, that is when the nurse mentioned the first name on the chart, saying it must be someone else then)
A-hole and the lawyers... they first talked about the faked divorce he needs to make Mati 'see'... then they talked about Tizoc's suit... he was like 'let him deal with it, he asked for it'... then Vilma called him... at the end, after he hung up he said he had to 'edit' the recording, so he will make it look like she is incriminating herself instead of warning him she has evidence against him... i can't wait to see what he comes up with and what she will do about it.
And about the conversation about Perla's situation at the RP house... after AS made her comment, Frida replied that 'who aer you to talk about it, since you also tried a 'faja' (girdle/band) that you wore for over a week (also purchased via infomarcial) and you were constantly whining of not being able to breathe...) (LOL!)
I guess the 'idea' MA was telling Mati about was to sell the juice to schools (since it is organic and healthier than what they have).
i wonder if Lupe will notice that she is at a higher end hospital (she expects it to happen at the same clinic they took Perla to first) and with a more experienced doctor on her case...
I am sure Chuy will protest at first about MA minding their business and taking care of the bill. But it is for Lupe's sake and he should swallow the pride.
the teacher at first did not want to answer MA's question about how Emi is doing at school (she should not have at all, granted) but at his insistence what she said was that Emiliano has been isolating himself (compared to mingling with friends in the past)
(I guess this is part of Emiliano's sitting and waiting for A-hole to change him to a new school so he won't bother socializing with his old friends)
Thanks so much for the added bits. I wasn't sure what these lawyers were telling Ahole. I should have known that Ahole wasn't going to sue Tizoc himself, let Charlie take the fall for that. I too wonder if Bambi will be a part of the raining anvils against Ahole. Thanks so much for your kind words.
I'm of mixed mind about Lupe keeping silent. It is her choice but with everything else going on she needs some family support. I guess I shouldn't talk because I was supposed to have some female surgery and didn't want my family to know until my DH insisted. I now realize my mother would have been very pithed and Chuy probably will be as well.
The look on Isela's face at the proposal was priceless indeed especially after she had been nattering on to Mini about the wedding night. I'm laughing just thinking about it.
I almost felt sorry for Emilhole sitting by himself on the steps in contrast to how it used to be with his friends all around. However he did bring it on himself with he airs and behavior. The poor kid is going to learn some big lessons when he finds out his "best papa in the world" is a rat bastard and he will probably not be going to a better school after all. Kids don't forget so he is also going to learn a lesson about friendship.
Who would have though AS would come down on the side of comm0on sense when it comes to dieting. Maybe there is hope for her after all.
Islea's spit take at the proposal...hilarious.
Rob
Lupita ragging on Tizoc for keeping a secret...pot calls kettle black. i agree.
I am so happy the tables were turned on Isela. The way she was selling her daughter was all types of wrong. Her plan back fired in a big way.
I hate the daughter selling too, but at least Mini is aware of it, unlike Monse who was sold twice over there on Robo, before she even had a clue.
Thanks so much for your kind words, and I too like how the tables were turned against Isela. I really like Don Lauro though, cause he's the one that always had a pithy saying for Ahole, too funny.
I guess I called the Isela proposal. At least I was hoping that would happen, and now I can't wait to see what they do with that.
Emi goes between wanting to get excited to do something with MA to being against it and wanting his dad to do it instead. Poor kid has had his mind poisoned against everyone.
There was something else that Saul said to Vilma to get her to question what Alejo is doing and that's why she called him, but I didn't get what it was that he said. Anyone?
Did we ever find out what exactly is wrong with Perla?
Cathyx, I thought the thing Saul said that pushed Vilma's buttons was the news that her trial would be next week, but that's already in the recap. (Wait, how could Vilma not know her trial date? Where is HER lawyer? Does she even have one?) If there was anything else in that conversation that really rattled Vilma, I must have missed it.
Sooooo... now that someone wants to marry Isela, she's going to have to put her money where her mouth is. Hah! Excellent!!
The only thing that could make this situation any funnier would be if Mini ends up having to marry... drum roll please... Don Lauro's FATHER!
Seriously, I know Isela is convinced that the man is at death's door, and of course he talks that way too; but he seems to have very frequent and careful medical supervision. He just might wear Isela out!
